Justin got up quietly, checking on Michael, and then silently leaving the room, closing the door softly. "You okay, Justin?" His mother said seeing the tears in his eyes. "I almost lost him, Mom. I almost lost my Mico." Justin fell into her arms, Lynn holding her son close. "It's okay, Justy. It's okay. He's going to be okay. You didn't lose him, he's right here." She rubbed his back like she had when he was small, it soothing him quickly. Justin eventually calmed down. "I'm okay, Mom. I just felt so helpless when he got hurt. I felt so alone when he was gone." Lynn smiled at him. "That's called love, Justin. You love Michael, and he loves you. I finally see that. I'm so happy for you. He'll be yours always, Justin. I don't think he's going anywhere." Justin smiled, his mom making him better. "Thanks, Mom. I love you. I'm so glad you like Michael." Lynn teared up. "I'm beginning to love the boy, Justin. I've never met anyone so special." "I agree, Mom. He's beyond special and he's mine. I love him." "Then let's go plan your Mico's surprise." Justin beamed thinking about that. "Yeah, lets. God I hope its okay, I hope he will be floored by it." Lynn smiled, knowing it would surprise Michael greatly. "Let's call the house and see who can come and help. We just have to be careful, and that Michael stays in bed." "I'll take care of that, Mom. Michael's not going anywhere."
Chapter 47
Michael felt a weight on top of him. He opened his golden eyes to see a face staring back at him. "Hi ya, Mikey!!" Michael smiled. "Hi, Stevie. How ya doing?" Stephen was sitting on top of Michael's chest smiling at him. "Justin said I could play with you when you woke up. So are you awake now?" Michael smiled again, beginning to tickle the boy. Stephen laughed at Michael's tickling him. Justin popped his head into the room. "Stevie, did you wake Michael up?" Stephen bowed his head, feeling guilty. "No, Jus. I woke up and Stevie climbed up on the bed." Michael smiled at his new little brother. Stephen smiled at Michael. "Okay, then its alright. How ya feeling, babe? You've slept right through lunch. It's almost one thirty." "Feeling better, thanks. But I need to get up and use the can." Justin was beside the bed in a flash. He helped Michael stand up. Michael felt no nausea or dizziness. "Right as rain." He smiled at Justin, who had his arm around him. "Let me be the judge of that, sweetie." Justin held him while Michael walked quickly to the bathroom. Stephen remained on the bed watching his brother and Michael. Michael went into the washroom, Justin following, shutting the door. "It's okay, Justin, I can take it from here." "I want to make sure you are okay. I don't want a repeat of this morning." Michael smiled at him. "You just want to see my hidden treasure." Michael winking at him. Justin blushed, Michael smirking at Justin's embarrassment. Michael stood still at the toilet. Justin thought something was wrong, looking at Michael. "Well, its your hidden treasure, you go digging for it." Justin looked into Michael's golden eyes. Michael started laughing, kissing Justin. Justin laughed back, then quickly put his hand down the front of Michael's pants, grabbing hold of his cock. "Why Mr. Timberlake, I didn't think you had it in you." Justin laughed, kissing Michael back. "Oh, I've had it in me, and it feels sooooo gooooood." Michael blushed now, then they both laughed. "Who did you call horndog?" Michael smirked. Justin smiled at him, his hand still down in Michael's pants. "Babe, as good as that feels, I still have to go. If you don't let go, I'll never be able to go, if you know what I mean." Justin felt Michael's cock hardening in his hand. He let go of it, reluctantly, smiling at him again. "Understood, babe. I'll be outside, so you're not so distracted." "That's what you are, Jus. You're very distracting, and I love that.Just like I love you." Justin smiled again, kissing him deeply. "Be right outside, babe." Justin waited outside on the loveseat, Stephen sitting in his lap. Michael came out a few minutes later walking back to the bed. Justin watched him get back in, relieved that Michael looked okay. "You're looking a lot better, Mico. I'll go get you some food. You must be hungry?" "I'm famished, actually. And Stevie and I have a play date, right Stevie?" The small boy smiled widely at Michael, a large smile. "Yay!!" The boy climbed back up on the bed, sitting down beside Michael, Michael talking to him like a friend. Justin smiled at the two of them, seeing Michael's love for his brother. Justin knew Michael didn't have any siblings, growing up alone. He somehow felt that Stevie and Jonnie would come to mean a lot to Michael. That made Justin smile widely. "What are you smiling at, Jus?" Michael looking at him. Justin looked at his lover tenderly. "Your happiness, Mico." Michael smiled back, returning to his lively conversation with Stevie. Justin got up, going down to the kitchen. His mom and Lisa smiled at him when he walked in. "How's the patient?" Lisa asked. "Much better, he's almost back to normal." Justin smiled at them, both women picking up on his good mood. "We thought as much, seeing that smile on your face, son." Lynn said sitting down at the table. "Michael's hungry, do you have that plate ready for him?" Lisa went to the fridge, pulling out some food. She had a plate ready for him in a few minutes. Justin picked up the tray and began to walk out of the room. "Justin?" Justin heard Michael's voice in his head. "Yes?" He said out loud. Lynn and Lisa turned, looking at him. "Can you bring Stevie a glass of apple juice too, Jus." Justin heard Michael say in his mind. "Sure thing. I guess we're back to normal too." Justin said smiling, both women staring at him. "Can I have a glass of apple juice for Stevie also." He said. "Justin, whats going on? Who are you talking to?" His mother staring at him still. Justin blushed, he'd inadvertantly let their secret out of the bag. "I was talking to Mico." Lisa and Lynn looked at each other. Justin set the tray down on the counter, looking at his two moms. "Mom, Lisa, Michael and I have learned to communicate with each other in our minds, with our thoughts. We just discovered it yesterday. He just told me Stevie wants some juice." Lynn and Lisa both stared at him, stunned. "Justin, thats remarkable. Do you know how extraordinary that is." Lisa said, a look of awe on her face. Justin smiled. "Would you expect anything less than extraordinary from my Mico." Lynn looked at her son, seeing his joy written on his face. "No, your right, Justin, Michael is indeed extraordinary." Lynn smiled at her son. "It's great, we can talk to each other when we're apart, do you know what that will do for me when we're seperated for whatever reason. Michael will never be far away, I'll always be able to talk with him." Justin's smile lit up the room. Lisa handed him a glass of apple juice, smiling at him. "I've never seen you so happy, Justin." She said, smiling back at him. "Michael brings out the happiness in me. I love him so much." Justin said, both women feeling his love for Michael. "Thanks, Moms"." he said, picking up the tray. Justin smiled at them both, walking out of the room. He walked down the hallway, glancing into the livingroom. He saw his father napping on the couch. He looked into the living room seeing everything set up. In a few hours it would be time for his surprise. His wonderful surprise for Mico. He practically danced up the stairs. When he entered the bedroom, Michael was sitting up in bed reading a story to Stevie, he looked up smiling at Justin. "Here's your lunch, Mikey." Justin smiled back at him, setting the tray down beside Michael. "We'll finish the story after lunch, Stevie." "Okay, Mikey." He said grabbing his glass of juice off the tray. Michael dove into the ham sandwich and salad on the plate. Justin sat back on the bed smiling at Michael. "So, sweetie. What's going on downstairs. It sound like there's not a lot of work going on." "Never you mind, sexy. Everything is going to plan." Michael raised an eyebrow. "Maybe I should get up and help." He said, starting on the second half of the sandwich. "Michael, do I have to chain you to this bed." Michael shyly smiled. "Point taken. I'll be good." Justin smiled at him, kissing him on the lips while he chewed. "Eww, Justin, thats gross." Stephen laughed. "Oh, I don't know Stevie, I kinda like it." Michael smiled. "Just kinda?" Justin faked a hurt look. Stevie looked sad all of a sudden. Michael kissed Justin on the lips. "Okay, I love it." Justin immediately beaming. Stevie was smiling again also. Then he became very quiet, Michael picking up on it. "Something wrong, little buddy?" "Are you and Justin getting married, Michael?" Stevie said quietly. Michael nearly choked on his sandwich. Justin patted him on the back. Michael gained control of his voice, staring at Justin. "Justin, is there something you want to tell me? Is this the surprise going on downstairs?" Justin looked shocked, then started laughing loudly. He was practically rolling off the bed. Michael just stared at him, as well as Stephen, who was laughing also. Justin finally calmed down a bit, still giggling. "Babe, if, and when I am going to ask you to marry me, I wouldn't do it at Christmas. That wonderful day will be a special day all to itself." Michael looked shocked. "You want to marry me someday?" Michael said lowering his head, Justin seeing his tears forming. Justin took Michael's hands in his looking into his golden eyes when he lifted his head. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Mico. Marriage is a committment between two people. It's a committment, in front of god, of their love for each other. One day I hope to make that committment to you. And I can only hope that you would feel the same way on that day." Michael hugged Justin to him, feeling overcome with emotion. "Jus, when and if that day comes, I will be standing right beside you." Justin smiled, hugging him close. Michael pulled back, looking at Stephen staring at them. "Stephen, why did you ask that question?" Stephen blushed, then looked sad. "Mommy told me you were in love with each other. I know that means you'll get married and take Justin away from me?" Justin looked shocked at Stephen. "Stevie, I would never take Justin away from you. He's your big brother, he'll always be here for you." Michael put his arm around the small boy. "He's right, Stevie. I'm your bro, I love ya. I'm always going to be right here for you. Why would you think I would ever leave you?" "Jonnie almost left me yesterday, and maybe Justin will leave too. I don't want to be alone, I want my brothers to stay here with me." Stephen looked like he might cry. Justin had tears in his eyes, hearing his little brother's fear. Michael picked the child up in his arms. "Stevie, I want to make you a promise. Your always going to have your three brothers with you. No matter what happens in your life, Justin and Jonathan will always love you and be there for you.And so will I, your new brother, Mikey." Stephen looked up at Michael, his eyes bright now. "You promise?" "Yes, Stephen. And I always keep my promises." Stephen put his arms around Michael's neck, hugging him. Stephen's wide smile entered both men's hearts. "I love you, Michael." Justin and Michael both had tears in their eyes. "I love ya too, bro." Michael said, kissing his cheek. Stephen smiled and climbed off the bed. "Be right back, Mikey. I want to show you something." The child ran out the door, both men watching him leave. Justin turned and looked at Michael. "That was a beautiful thing you said to him, Mico." "I meant every word, Jus." Justin kissed him, Michael kissing deeply back. Stephen ran into the room again, carrying a large album. Justin smiled, knowing what it was. Michael took it from him as Stevie climbed back into the bed, crawling up beside him. "Look at this, Mikey. Justin gave all this to me." Stephen smiling at his treasure. Michael opened the album and saw many pictures of Justin. The were photographs from different places, different images of Justin. "Justin sends me pictures of himself all the time. Its so I'll always know what he's doing and where he is." Michael looked up at Justin seeing him looking with love at his little brother. Michael put his hand in Justin's. Justin smiled at him. "That's a beautiful idea, Jus. Stephen always knows what going on with your life. He'll always have loving contact with you." Justin smiled again. "He's my little bro, I love him. I want him to know I'm here, always." Stevie smiled at Justin. Michael looked down at Stevie. "I'll make sure we both send you more pictures, always." Stephen smiled up at him. Justin hugged his little brother, licking his cheek. "Ewwww! Justin, that's gross." Stephen laughed, Justin starting to tickle him. Stephen laughed louder. Michael sat back smiling at the two. Jonathan came into the room wondering what all the laughter was about. "What's going on, Michael?" He said looking at Michael. "Your two crazy brothers are being silly, Jonnie. Must be a Timberlake thing." Michael smirked at him. Justin stopped, winking at Jonathan, then Stephen. "Lets get him." Justin yelled, bouncing on top of Michael. Jonathan and Stephen jumped on top also, everyone tickling Michael. His loud boisterous laugh filling the room. After a few minutes and finally yelling uncle, the guys stopped. Michael was gasping for breath, his face red and sweating. Justin got concerned, but Michael just smiled at him. "I needed that guys. Thanks." He smiled at all three. "But ya wore me down. I think I'll need a nap again." "No prob, Mikey. We'll let you rest some more. If you fall asleep I'll wake you at six, okay." Justin said, kissing his cheek. It felt warm. "Thanks, Jus." Michael lay down on the bed again. "Sorry for getting you all worked up." Michael smiled at him, closing his eyes. They left Michael to sleep. Once in the hallway, Jonathan hugged his older brother. "I cant wait to see the look on Mikey's face when he sees your surprise." Justin smiled, hugging his brother back. "I have to check on one thing with Nana, then we should all be set. I'll go call her now."
Paulo looked at his wardrobe trying to decide what to wear tonight. He basically narrowed it down to a shirt with tie, and dress pants. Now just to match the colors. Josh had told him he could borrow any of his clothes, they were close to the same upper build, although Paulo was taller, so Josh's pants were out. After some deliberation he'd finally decided on a navy silk shirt that belonged to Josh, with a blue diamond design tie of his own, and light grey dress slacks. He dressed quickly looking at himself in the full length mirror. He sighed deeply. He missed Josh. The two men had hit it off great, becoming fast friends after they'd gotten over their small crush. Paulo was happy for Josh and Lance, he felt they did indeed deserve each other. Josh would be Lance's support, and Lance would give Josh the love he so needed. He'd called his grandfather last night, letting him know about Michael's healing spell and the tragic aftermath, it upsetting him greatly. Paulo hated worrying his grandfather, he loved the man dearly. He hated the idea of not spending Christmas with him also. He'd always made a point of being home with him for the holidays. But Paulo knew that being here with Michael, with that wonderful man, was a task he couldn't ignore. He had made a promise to himself yesterday to always be there for him. To defend him with his life if he had to. The man was too remarkable and loving to not warrant that sacrifice. Paulo smiled at himself, relaxing, knowing Michael was going to be alright. He checked the clock, two thirty. He'd call his grandfather again shortly, it would almost be nine at home. He heard a knock on the front door, wondering who it was. Everyone knew Josh was gone. He walked up to the door carefully opening it. What he laid his eyes upon shocked him. "Hello, Paulo. Merry Christmas, my boy." Paulo hugged his grandfather to him, his tears flowing.
Michael woke up, seeing the room in twilight darkness. He looked at the clock seeing it was twenty minutes after six. He stretched and yawned. He felt a lot more relaxed. "Justin, it's after six, I thought you were going to wake me." He thought. After a few moments, Justin replied. "Sorry, babe. Got a little busy here, will be right up. You stay put." "Yes, sir." Michael could feel Justin's smile in his heart. He lay back listening to the sounds of the house. He could hear people talking downstairs, not hearing the words, just the distant sound. And he thought he heard music and laughter. It was Christmas Eve. Michael loved Christmas. At home it had always been a beautiful time. Nana and Uncle Silas made it fun, lots of music, good food and hospitality. Nana had always decorated a large tree, she had beautiful old ornaments that were generations old. The tree always seemed rich in history, almost as if all his family were present at Christmas. Michael felt a tug of sadness at his heart. This was the first Christmas in fifteen years that Nana and Uncle Silas wouldn't spend it with him. But Michael had a new family downstairs. Justin's family. His new brothers whom he felt he would love very deeply. Stephen was an angel, Jonathan a bright sweet young man. Michael smiled, thinking of his Justin. He was spending Christmas with someone who loved him deeply. All he wanted to do was snuggle up in front of the fireplace with the man he loved. But Justin's family was here and Justin had some big surprise planned for him. Michael usually didn't like surprises, but knowing Justin was behind it somehow made him feel excited. He was eager to get downstairs. He lay back sensing the mood in the house. He felt a lot of happiness and love spreading out through the rooms. Thats what made a house a home. Then he sensed something new. He sensed a new presence, someone he didn't know, but something familiar echoed in his mind. He tried to pinpoint it, but it seemed distant, unobtainable. He opened his eyes when he heard the bedroom door opening. Justin came through the door smiling at him with two large garment bags in his arms. "Feeling okay, babe?" He asked crossing the room setting the bags on the bed. Michael got up out of bed, hugging Justin to him. "You tell me." He said as he kissed him deeply. The two lovers held each other, lost in the passionate kiss. "Mmmmm, I've missed that passion." Justin said breaking the kiss. Michael smiled, looking into Justin's blue eyes. "Well, it's back and all for you, my love." Justin kissed him again, tasting Michael's sweet lips and tongue. "So, have I passed your approval rating, am I healed?" "Yes, babe, your back to your lovable sweet self. But your still under my care, so no acrobatics or heroics." Michael smiled. "Okay, Jus. So what's in the bags?" "I'll show you, babe." Justin picked up the two bags, giving him one bag. "Gift number one, sweetie. Merry Chrismas." Justin kissed him again. Michael smiled. "Christmas isn't until tomorrow, Jus." "Humor me, open it." Michael pulled the zipper down revealing a new black Versace silk shirt and Armani dress pants. Michael's eyes were wide with awe. "Justin, this is beautiful, but its too much." Justin put his arm around him, kissing his cheek. "I want my man to look sharp, tonight. I want you to look as beautiful as you make me feel." Michael teared up, kissing Justin back. "I've got a new outfit here also, lets change and we can get on with the rest of this wonderful night." Both men removed their clothes, both gently touching and kissing while they changed. Justin had a new baby blue silk shirt with a navy vest and dark navy dress pants. Michael thought he looked gorgeous. Justin couldn't keep his eyes off Michael as he stood in front of him in all black. "Black is your color, baby. Your golden eyes glow against the blackness." And blue is yours. It matches those deep blue pools of love in your eyes." Both men kissed deeply, their silky bodies against each other. "Mmmmm, I love the feel of silk against my skin." Michael purred. Justin smiled, knowing he'd bought Michael a silk bathrobe for Christmas. "Oh, by the way, Paulo's grandfather is here. He flew in from spain to spend the holiday with Paulo." Michael smiled. The new presence in the house. "He's downstairs. I know." Justin took a sudden look at Michael. "How did you know?" "I was laying in bed just listening to the noise downstairs, and I felt a new presence." Justin smiled. "Paulo wasn't going to come, he was going to spend the evening with his grandfather alone, but I insisted he bring him here. A person should be surrounded by a family at Christmas." "That was sweet of you, Jus. And your right, you should be surrounded by family." Justin noticed Michael's face change a bit. He knew who he was thinking of. "I'm sorry Nana and Zach aren't here, Mico." Michael hugged Justin to him. "It's okay, Jus. They're in my heart, that will have to do. I'll call them later tonight. But I have my new family here, all of them. My new brothers. You know what they say, Christmas has to be seen through the eyes of a child. I'm looking forward to watching Stevie's eyes glow." Justin had a tear in his eye. "I love you so much, Mico." "I love you more, Jus. Merry Christmas." Michael said kissing him. "Let's go downstairs and have some fun." Justin grabbed his hand pulling him along. Michael could feel the happiness and eagerness in Justin. They walked out into the hall, Justin stopping Michael. "Wait just a sec, babe." Justin ran down to the end of the hall, looking down the stairs. He returned to Michael smiling. "Okay, Michael. Everything is ready." Justin smiled at him. He took his arm in his, linking the two together. "Tonight we are together, my love. This night means so much to me because your here. I will have the love of my life on my arm. Merry Christmas, Michael." Justin kissed his cheek, Michael fighting back tears. They walked down the hallway to the top of the stairs. Michael looked down the stairs seeing something that touched his heart. At different intervals on the staircase stood a member of his new family. Ten steps down stood Jonathan smiling. Justin and Michael walked down, stopping beside him. "Merry Christmas, Michael and Justin. I love you." He said, tears in his eyes. He hugged Michael, and then Justin, Michael kissing his cheek. Merry Christmas, Jonnie." Michael and Justin both said together, both fighting tears. They walked down another ten steps to find Stephen standing. Jonathan following behind them. "Merry Christmas, Justin and Mikey." He said smiling. Michael picked up the child, kissing his cheek. "Merry Christmas, Stevie. All ready for Santa?" "You bet, Mikey. I've been real good." Michael smiled. "I know you have." Stephen leaned over kissing Justin's cheek. "I love you, Jus. And you Mikey." Stephen said, Justin tearing up. "We love you, Stevie." They both said together. Michael set Stevie down walking down another ten steps to find Randall and Lisa standing together. "Merry Christmas, Justin and Merry Christmas Michael." Randall said hugging his son, kissing his cheek, then doing the same to Michael. "Welcome to the family, Michael. May this Christmas be the first of many more, all of us together, including your family." Michael teared up, Lisa hugging him and kissing his cheek. "We love you, Michael and Justin." They both said together. Justin was in tears, hugging his father again. "Thanks, dad, thanks Lisa." He said, Michael was unable to speak. Randall rubbed his back, smiling at him. Everyone followed behind them as they walked down to the bottom of the stairs. Lynn stood smiling at both men. She kissed her son, then Michael. "Merry Christmas, my two angels." She said, Justin seeing the tears in her eyes. Justin hugged his mother. "I love you, Mom." "I love you, son. And you too, Michael. My new son." Michael hugged her, tears flowing down his cheeks. "I love you too, all of you. " Michael said turning and looking at everyone. Everyone smiled at him. "This was a wonderful surprise, Jus." "It's only beginning, love." He smiled pointing to Paulo, standing beside an older gentleman who was seated in a wing chair. Michael walked up to Paulo, Justin still attached to his arm. Michael hugged Paulo, Paulo a bit surprised. "Merry Christmas, Paulo." "Merry Christmas, Mikey. I'd like you to meet my grandfather, Alberto." Michael turned looking at the man seated beside Paulo. He stopped cold in his tracks. The smiling face looked so familiar. The kind face smiled at him, Michael not able to see the color of his eyes. He wore darker glasses. The older gentleman struggled to his feet, holding out his hand. Michael took his hand, smiling back at him. The moment he touched him, Michael felt his soul brighten, he felt a new sensation, and he saw a golden glow. The man stared deeply into Michael's eyes, his face seemingly looking younger. "It's an immense pleasure to meet you, Michael." The man bowed, his gaze never leaving Michael's eyes. Michael actually thought he saw a tear in those dark shaded eyes. "And its a joy to meet you, Alberto. Please, sit down, you need not get up for me." The man smiled sitting down again. "Paulo told me everything about you, Michael, I consider it a great honor to meet you finally." "The honor is all mine, sir. Paulo has had nothing but kind words to say about his grandfather. And might I add, your grandson is a remarkable, kind, dependable man. I have great respect for him, and even greater friendship." Alberto smiled brightly at his grandson. "Paulo is my special grandchild. In him I hold the hope for the future." Michael smiled, Justin also smiling at Paulo. "I think you've got nothing to worry about, in that regard." Michael said smiling at Paulo. "Its a pleasure being invited into your home for this wonderful celebration. Thank you, Michael and Justin." " The pleasure is all ours, sir. Welcome to our home, and Merry Christmas." Both men shook his hand again, and at the last moment, Michael hugged him. Alberto was deeply moved at Michael's tenderness. "Merry Christmas to both of you." Michael and Justin smiled at the man, Justin hugging Paulo. Paulo blushed a little. he hadn't expected this type of greeting, or Michael's tenderness to his grandfather. Everyone else smiled at Michael's instant openness to this new person. "Well, Michael, are you ready for the next surprise?" Justin beamed at him. "As ready as I'll ever be, I guess." Michael smiled at his boyfriend. Justin walked Michael over towards the closed living room doors. Everyone gathered around the two men, Paulo and Randall standing beside each door. Justin took both of Michael's hands in his, looking into his golden eyes. "I wanted to make this night a special night for all of us, Mico. A night filled with love and surprises. I talked to a special lady about what you loved about Christmas. She told me of your happiness at this time of the year. Your love of this special season. And she gave me an idea. She told me about something that always made you happy. This gift comes from our hearts, Mico. It's a show of our deep love for you. Your happiness is the most important thing to all of us." Michael's tears were flowing, but he didn't care. Justin had just given him another gift. He'd shown him his love, openly here in front of his family, that meant more to him than what was behind the doors in front of them. "I love you, Mico." Michael leaned in and kissed his lips. "I love you more, Jus." Justin turned, standing beside Michael, as Paulo and Randall opened the double doors. What Michael's eyes fell upon sank deep into his heart. He gasped and stared at what he saw in front of him. The living room was ablaze with lighted candles, and a large lit spruce Christmas tree stood in the center of the room. What took Michael's heart away was what was on the tree. Justin stood beside him seeing the look of shock and wonder on his face. The tears flowed from Michael's golden eyes as he looked at Justin, Justin himself beginning to tear at seeing the happiness in Michael's eyes. Michael slowly walked into the room taking in every detail of the beautiful large glowing Christmas tree. He walked up to it, touching an ornament, an old beautiful ornament, steeped in history. Nana's beautiful old ornaments. Michael looked all over the tree, seeing each familiar one hanging from the branches, each ornament stirred memories in his heart and soul. "Jus, these are Nana's special treasures. Do you know what these have meant to me and her for so many years? They always hung on our tree at home, Nana's family ornaments. They were a part of our family history. I've loved them since I was a child." Michael was beginning to cry, sobs overtaking his emotions. Justin held onto him, knowing the depth of this moment in Michael's soul. "Nana gave them all to you, Mico. She wants you to hang them on our tree, mixed with our own future ornaments. It's her Christmas gift to you. So that you'll always remember her love for you." Michael turned and buried his face in Justin's chest, his emotions unravelling. Everyone stood still, tears flowing from a lot of moist eyes, including Paulo and his grandfather. Justin held him in his arms while Michael fought to gain control. "I don't know what to say, Jus. I never imagined that you and Nana would do this for me." Justin smiled at him, kissing his lips tenderly. "It's done with love and happiness, Mico." Michael kissed him again. "Michael, if there was one thing you'd want in front of this Christmas tree, what would it be?" Michael looked up into Justin's wet blue eyes. "I have it here right now, Justin. It's you. It's your love." Justin began to cry, moved by Michael's simple words. "I have one final surprise for you, Mico. This gift comes from my heart." Justin pulled Michael away from the tree, turning his back to it. "Close your eyes, Mico. I have a wonderful surprise for you." Michael looked at Justin, tears still in Michael's eyes. "God, Justin, I don't think I can take any more surprises." Everyone chuckled, Michael seeing smiles on everyone's faces. "Please, Mico." Michael smiled and shut his eyes. For a few minutes he could hear people moving, some noises and other sounds. "Okay, Mico. Open your eyes." Michael opened his eyes, seeing Justin still standing in front of him. "I wanted to do something that would make you happy, my love. And I could think of only one thing. The one thing that would bring joy to your heart. This gift comes from my heart, and my soul. Your joy will flood my soul always,my love. If you turn around, you'll find that joy.Merry Christmas, Mico." Michael took a deep breath and turned around. His heart caught in his throat. Justin had given him his greatest wish. Standing in front of the large Christmas tree were his grandmother and Uncle Silas. To their left stood Zach, Christina and Becky. Michael stood frozen, not believing what he was looking at. "Nana..." Was all he could manage to say before the sobs took over his body. Nana walked up to him taking him in her arms. Michael sobbed in her chest, Nana holding him tight. "Merry Christmas, my angel." She said, kissing his forehead. Justin stood still taking in the sight before him, seeing and feeling the happiness that surrounded Michael. This one moment of happiness was worth the last month of hardship and chaos. Michael was happy, and Justin was happier. Justin could see Zach and Christina crying tears of joy, Becky smiling at Justin. Justin own tears were flowing, as were many others. Michael had his family again. What Justin didn't know was that Michael realized that he had so much more.
End of Chapter 47
There you go! Michael has his family back in his life again. How many guessed that surprise? Hope that wasn't too emotional. It was for me. For personal reasons.
Please let me know how I'm doing, and if ya like it.
Peace and Love, Angel.
