Lonnie came up to him, looking at him with guilt on his face.

"I'm sorry Justin. I'm sorry I didn't keep a good enough eye on you. When I think of what he'd almost done to you, I can't help feeling I've failed you."

Justin looked at his friend with shock.

"Oh, Lonnie, don't say that. I know your always there for me, Jimmy just had it all set up, he had it all planned out. He tricked all of you, but not my Michael. Michael's gifts saved me tonight, and his soul."

Michael smiled at him.

Lonnie smiled, Justin hugging him tight.

"Goodnight, Lonnie. Love ya." Justin said, tears in his eyes.

Lonnie turned with tears in his eyes too.

"Night, slim. Love ya back."

Zach and Christina waited for Justin to hug them too, which he did.

They didn't want to spook him, knowing he was still a little unsure about being touched.

Michael and Justin said goodnight to everyone.

Once they were in bed alone, Justin began to cry.

Michael held him in his arms, soothing his soul.

"I was so scared, Michael."

"I know, babe, I know. But I will always be here to keep you safe, my love."

Justin held onto Michael, feeling his love against him.

"We are connected, Jus. Our minds seek out each other when we're needed. I will always come to you to protect you."

Justin smiled, not saying anything.

"I love you, Jus." Michael said with all his love and caring spoken in those words.

They fell asleep together, Justin in Michael's safe strong arms.

Their love filling both souls.

Chapter 39

Justin woke up alone.

Michael wasn't beside him.

He wasn't in the room either.

Justin looked at the clock on the nightstand and saw it was only eight thirty.

He looked over towards the door and saw six suitcases lined up.

He smiled widely.

Michael was packed and ready to go.

Justin realized that Michael was as eager as he was.

Justin got up, throwing a tshirt and sweatpants on, walking out of the bedroom.

The condo was quiet.

He walked into the living room finding Michael on the couch with Becky sitting in his lap.

They were reading a story book.

Justin leaned against the door frame watching Michael with the small child.

Neither one had noticed Justin yet.

"Uncle Michael, this is a good story. You read it good."

Michael smiled, kissing the child's cheek.

"You like stories with princesses."

"Yes, I wish I was one."

"You are sweetie, your mommy's little princess. And all your new uncles think your one too."

"Even Uncle Justin?"

Justin smiled.

"Uncle Justin loves you dearly Becky. You'll always be his special princess."

Becky smiled widely.

"I love him lots too. I'm going to miss him."

Justin had a tear in his eye.

"He's going to miss you too. So am I. But we will visit, and talk on the phone lots. Don't worry, sweetie, your Uncle Justin and your Uncle Michael will always be here for you."

Becky smiled, hugging Michael.

"I love you Uncle Michael."

Justin could see the tears in Michael's eyes.

"I love you too Rebecca."

Michael hugged her close.

Justin backed out of the room, leaning against the hallway wall. He wiped his wet eyes.

He thought about Michael and children.

Justin loved kids, but he hadn't been sure about Michael's views. Seeing him with Becky now showed him Michael's loving, fatherly heart.

To Justin's eyes Michael would make a great father.

They hadn't talked about kids at this stage in their relationship yet.

But Justin wanted kids, and he now hoped Michael wanted them too.

Justin smiled and took a deep breath.

He walked into the living room smiling.

"Morning Becky!" He smiled widely at her.

He leaned down kissing Michael.

"I love you, Jus. " Michael first words spoken.

Justin smiled after breaking the kiss.

Becky was already in his arms laughing.

"Love ya more, babe."

Justin began tickling her, her laugh echoing off the walls.

Michael smiled at Justin, seeing his deep love for her.

He sat their watching the two on the floor, tickling each other and laughing.

Justin was a big kid at heart, with a large heart himself.

"I'm going to make breakfast, so you two be good."

Michael got up walking into the kitchen.

Justin carried Becky into the kitchen, dropping her down in a chair. He gave her a coloring book and crayons.

She wanted to color a picture to give Justin to take with him.

Justin smiled watching her color.

He turned looking at Michael who was beginning to cook on the stove.

Michael had a smile on his face, Justin thought he looked beautiful.

JUstin got up putting his arms around him while he cooked.

"How ya doing, Justin. You feeling better, no dreams or anything about last night."

"I'm doing okay, Michael. I've gotten over it, mostly because of your love and sweetness."

Michael smiled, kissing him gently on the cheek.

"Never fear, you white knight shall always protect you. I love my man."

Justin smiled, kissing Michael back.

They stood there quietly while Michael cooked.

Suddenly Michael grinned a big smile.

"What are you smiling for, sweetie?"

"Just thinking about today. In a few hours we will be on our way to LA."

Justin smiled.

"Yes, I saw all the bags lined up. What time were you up this morning, my love?"

"I never really went to sleep, Jus. I woke up again at five thirty, and got up. I needed to do something, so I quietly packed everything. Your a sound sleeper."

Justin looked at him with wonder.

"Mikey, you must be exhausted."

"It's okay, Jus. I'm fine. I came out here at seven thirty and I heard Becky talking in her bed.She was playing with her doll, Zach and Christina were both sound asleep, so I carried her out to the living room. We've been playing and reading."

"She really likes you, Michael."

Michael smiled looking at her coloring.

"She's a princess, Jus."

"Michael, we've never talked about kids. I wasn't sure how you felt about children, but seeing you with Becky puts a smile on my face. I heard your conversation with her this morning."

Michael looked into Justin's blue eyes.

"I love children, Jus. And I know you do also. I'd love to have a child someday, and raise him or her with you. Our love is too great not to share it."

Justin had tears in his eyes, he hugged Michael close.

"Baby, your the best. Your love knows no limits."

They stood there, Justin with his arms around his lover, Michael cooking breakfast.

Justin picked up on Michael's thinking about something.

"What are you thinking about, Michael? You have a serious look on your face."

Michael put all the bacon on a plate and shut off the burner, removing the pan.

He turned and looked at Justin.

Justin could see tears in his eyes.

"I just realized that I will be waking up beside you tomorrow morning. I won't be alone anymore. I've been so alone, Jus. It's finally sunk in, your going to be with me, I'm not going to be alone anymore."

Justin leaned in kissing him deeply.

Zach and Christina walked into the room, seeing the two lovers kissing.

"Yo, not over the food, we have to eat that." Zach laughed.

Michael and Justin pulled apart, Zach and Christina seeing Michael's tears.

"You okay, Mikey?" Concern on both their faces.

"Yes, I'm beyond happy. I'm completely happy."

Michael kissed Justin again.

Christina smiled, realizing Michael was happy instead of sad.

"How are you, Justin. Everything okay this morning?" Zach asked.

"Yes, Zacky. I'm okay with Michael here beside me."

Everyone smiled, Michael telling everyone to sit down for breakfast.

They had a relaxing, quiet meal. Lonnie showed up half way through.

Michael offered him some food.

"I'll just have some coffee, thanks. Already had breakfast. Thanks anyway." He said sitting down at the table.

"So, Jus. You all right this morning?"

Michael was happy everyone was concerned for his Justin.

"I'm doing okay, Lon. Thanks for asking. I'm happy with my love here beside me.And we're going home."

Michael smiled.

Home.

Justin's and Michael's home.

Michael remembered the large house. He hadn't felt that comfortable there, it felt so big.

But being with Justin would make any place feel like home.

Justin and Lonnie took care of the dishes, Justin wanting Michael to spend some time with Zach and Christina as well as Becky. He knew how much Michael would miss them.

They all went into the living room.

They sat around talking, enjoying each other's final hours.

The phone rang, Zach answering it.

"It's for you, Michael. It's Vicky."

"Hey, Victoria, hows my sweet little bitchy beauty." Michael smiled.

"Missing my pencil dick." Vicky replied back.

Michael laughed, chatting with her for a while.

They chatted about Vito and people they knew. Michael missing her warmth and smile.

"Oh, I almost forgot. A man came to the door here a couple of days ago. He was looking for you."

"Did he say who he was?"

"He said he went to high school with you. Was in town and wanted to look you up."

Michael couldn't imagine who it was. He hadn't many friends in high school. Only Zach really.

"That's weird. Did he say what his name was?"

"Yeah, but I can't remember it. It will come to me."

Michael was getting a feeling of fear again. Someone was looking for him?

Justin who was just finishing up drying the dishes, sensed Michael's unease.

He walked into the living room seeing him on the phone.

"Who's Michael talking to, Zach?" Justin asked.

"Vicky." Zach replied, seeing concern on Justin's face. Then he looked at Michael and saw his face was very troubled.

"Oh, hey, I remember now. He said his name was Jimmy Carson. He left me a letter for you. I was going to mail it to you in LA."

Michael looked stunned.

"Read me the letter, Vicky. Read it to me now."

Justin picked up on Michael's tone of voice. He didn't like this. He said down beside Michael.

"What's wrong, Mikey?" Vicky asked, concern now in her voice.

"Please, Vicky. Read me that letter." Michael said, urgency in his voice.

"Okay, hang on."

Michael heard her going away from the phone, then coming back.

"Lets see, I'm opening it. Hmmm, there's not much written here. Oh shit."

"What's it say, Vicky?"

Vicky was silent for a moment.

"Let me talk to Justin or Zach, Mikey."

"What's going on, Vicky. Tell me what he's written."

Vicky reluctantly told him.

Michael face went white. He let the phone fall out of his hand.

Justin was beside him immediately.

"What's wrong, Michael. Talk to me."

Michael didn't say anything, he just sat there in shock.

Zach picked up the phone talking to Vicky.

"That's impossible, Vicky." Zach said, looking at Michael.

Justin held him, Michael not moving.

"Hang on a second, Vicky." Zach said, putting the phone down.

"Michael, you okay. Talk to me right now." Zach looked at him.

Michael looked at Zach.

"Who is this guy, Zach? He knows all about me, who is he?"

Michael started trembling, Justin holding him.

"What's going on, Zach. Tell me!" Justin said.

Zach picked up the phone again.

"I'll call you right back, Vicky."

Zach didn't give her time to answer, he hung up.

He sat down beside Michael.

Everyone looked at him with concern.

"Some guy came to Vicky's door, looking for Michael. He said he was a friend from high school. He said his name was Jimmy Carson. But that's impossible. Jimmy Carson died in our last year at school."

Justin looked at Michael, seeing his quietness.

"What else, Zach?"

"He left Michael a letter. Vicky read it to Michael over the phone. It said he was the angel of vengeance, and that Michael couldn't hide from his punishment. His heart would be his."

Michael tensed up.

"It's the same guy, Justin. The same guy who phoned. I know it is." Michael whispered.

Justin could see Michael's fear had returned.

"It's okay Michael. Vicky didn't tell him where you went. She didn't tell him anything. She just told him you'd moved." Zach said trying to reassure him.

Michael nodded, still unsure about who this man was.

"Why is he doing this, Justin." Michael looked into his eyes.

"I don't know, Mico. I just don't know."

Lonnie got up, grabbing the phone.

"I want to talk to Vicky. I will get a description and as much info as I can." Lonnie looked at Justin.

"Michael, we have a few hours before our flight this aft, how about you come and lie down. You didn't sleep much last night."

Justin got up, pulling Michael up with him. He walked him down to the bedroom.

Michael climbed into the bed, Justin right behind him.

Michael leaned into Justin's body, Justin holding him tight.

"What am I going to do, Justin? I don't want to look over my shoulder all the time. I hate being afraid."

"It's just some crank case, Mico. Don't let it get to you, I get threats sometimes, I try not to let it bother me."

Michael didn't say anything, he just clung to Justin.

Justin thought about that. Last night he'd clung to Michael, today it was the opposite. They both needed each other.

Justin hugged him tighter, knowing he'd do anything he could to keep his love safe.

After a few minutes, Michael had fallen asleep in his arms, feeling protected.

Justin lay there, his arms around his love.

After an hour, he got up gently, Michael sound asleep.

He walked back out to the living room, seeing Lonnie on the phone.

Zach looked up at him, Christina sitting beside him, Becky playing on the floor.

"He's sleeping, anything else happen?"

"No, Lonnie talked to Vicky, now he's talking to your security service."

Lonnie hung up the phone.

"Well, Vicky gave me a description, black hair, 6' tall, 230lbs, blue eyes. Not much to go on, but we'll see what we can do. Justin, when we get back to LA, we should talk about getting Michael his own bodyguard. Especially if he's going to be doing book signings."

"I was thinking the same thing, Lon." Justin said.

"I'll talk with Michael about it later."

"Well your plane leaves in about three hours. Lets let him sleep for another hour then we'll go." Lonnie said.

They sat down talking about it, Zach telling them all about Jimmy Carson, how he'd died of luekemia in grade twelve. He couldn't think of who this guy was and how he'd known about that.

Lonnie took all Justin's and Michael's bags out to the car, getting everything packed. He also brought in all Justin's gifts for Becky, Christina and Zach.

"So, everything's taken care of right?" Justin asked Zach.

"Yup, its all a go."

Justin smiled, Michael's surprise christmas gift taken care of.

They went over that again, Justin finalized the final details.

He hoped Michael wouldn't be mad at him, but he felt he wouldn't.

Zach said he'd leave his judgement of that until after the fact.

Justin nervously smiled.

Justin went into the bedroom, lightly kissing Michael on the lips.

Michael stirred, pulling Justin down on top of him, his passion evident.

Michael's hand went between Justin's legs, feeling for his hardness.

Justin pulled back.

"Sorry, horn dog, its almost time to go catch our flight. We'll continue this tonight in our own bed."

Michael smiled looking into Justin's blue pools of love.

"Yes, our bed. Our bed of happiness."

Justin smiled.

"How ya doing, babe?"

"I'm okay, Jus. I'm not going to let this guy terrify me. I have the power to protect myself and the power to protect you. I'm going to go on living, he's not going to win."

Justin smiled, Michael was showing his courage again.

They got up looking around to make sure they had everything.

After final checks and both men getting dressed they were ready.

Everyone went to the airport with them to see them off.

Michael was surprised at the amount of media attention even Justin's leaving triggered. They were met at the airport by at least a dozen photographers and reporters.

Michael walked with Lonnie, letting Justin handle the press.

He kept distant from him, but Justin pointed to him telling them that he was a close friend.

They promptly ignored him.

That suited Michael just fine.

He walked with Justin to the private lounge, Zach and Christina following with Becky.

They all sat down waiting for their flight to be called.

Zach and Christina hugged both of them, promising to come out in the New Year to visit them when Justin's tour had a break or after it was finished.

They also promised to get together when Justin hit Chicago with his tour.

Becky stayed in Justin's arms for a while, Justin being sweet to her.

He'd miss her, Michael thought.

Zach came up to Michael, hugging him tightly.

"Your going to be okay, Mikey."

Michael smiled, hugging his friend back.

"Thanks, Zacky. Where would I be without you."

"Probably lost." He smiled.

Michael smiled back.

"I'm proud of ya, Mikey. Your a hell of a man, and an even better friend."

Michael teared up hugging him again.

"I'm only a phone call away, remember that. A heartbeat will see me by your side." Zach said.

Michael remembered Vicky saying the same thing.

They truly were his family.

"I have my beautiful man to protect me, Zach. Thanks for everything, bud. I love ya, man."

Zach was opening crying, Christina patting his back.

Christina hugged Michael, kissing his cheek.

"You take care, Mikey. I love ya, sweetie."

Michael hugged her back.

"Take care of my Zacky, Cricket. Love him like he loves you."

She smiled, nodding.

Becky jumped from Justin's arms into Michael's.

"Love ya, Uncle Michael."

Michael kissed her, hugging her close.

"Love ya more, Becky."

Everyone stood smiling at Michael with the small child.

"Say hi to santa for me." She smiled at him.

"I will, sweetie. I will."

He handed her back to Zach, who held her in his arms.

Michael and Justin picked up their carryons and followed Lonnie to the boarding door.

Everyone waved goodbye to them.

Michael stopped and turned to look at his best friend, standing beside Christina with Becky in his arms waving.

"They look like a family, Jus. They really do."

Justin smiled.

"Ya did good, Mico."

Michael smiled, looking into his blue eyes.

"Let's start our own family,love."

Justin beamed, so wanting to kiss him, but he just turned, Michael following him onward on their grand adventure.

Paulo Garcia stood in the gateway, watching the two men leaving their friends. It was a touching scene. He knew that these were Michael's dearest friends, he's seen it in Michael's eyes.

He's received the file last night on Dr. Zachary Warren and Christina Marshall.

He'd read all their history.

He smiled.

It looked to him that they were starting their own history together.

He liked that idea.

They seemed perfectly matched for each other.

Paulo boarded the same plane as Justin and Michael, but he kept his distance from them. They were all seated in first class.

He saw them ahead of him sitting together, the large black man sitting across from them.

His bodguard, Lonnie.

Paulo knew everything about Justin Timberlake, even his recent seperation from Cameron Diaz. That wasn't public knowledge but it was easy to find out.

When someone removes their belongings from the other's home, its always a sure sign.

That got Paulo thinking again about Justin's relationship with Michael.

He'd been at the club last night, lost in the background, watching.

He'd seen their leaving, Michael protecting Justin close.

He'd also seen Jimmy Fallon leaving later, totally shook up.

Paulo sensed something was going on here.

He'd also seen the busted door upstairs and the signs of a scuffle.

Had there been a fight?

He wasn't sure, and probably wouldn't ever know.

He'd called Alberto last night, and had received new orders.

Someone was following Michael. Someone was threatening him.

Alberto wanted him close, to keep his eyes even closer on him.

That meant contact.

Contact with Michael.

That made Paulo's heart soar.

He so wanted to know this young man, to be his friend.

And it was about to start today.

He pulled the id wallet out of his jacket, looking at it.

He'd received it that morning.

He put his dark glasses on, looking at himself in the plane's window.

He got up heading towards the front of the plane.

Towards fate's destiny.

Lonnie looked up at the tall handsome man with the dark glasses looking down at him.

"Yes? Can I help you?"

"Your Lonnie?"

Lonnie looked at him, measuring him up.

"Yes, who are you?"

He pulled his id out of his pocket showing him.

"Paulo Garcia. I've been hired by your firm as a freelance bodyguard for Michael Tavarro. I got the call to meet the three of you on this flight."

Michael looked up at the young man, looking at his glasses. Then he looked at Justin, who blushed.

"I wanted to talk to you about this, Mico. I didn't think it would be this quick." Justin said.

Paulo caught the nickname Justin used.

Friends indeed.

"Please sit down, Mr. Garcia." Michael said, offering the empty seat beside Lonnie.

"Please, if we're going to be working together please call me Paulo." He smiled.

Michael looked at him again, somehow feeling safe with this man.

"That employment is still up in the air. " Michael looked now at Lonnie.

It was Lonnie's turn to blush.

"I felt you needed some protection, Michael. What with what's happened lately and you going on a signing tour in the future.I didn't think they'd react this quickly."

"So your saying I need a babysitter."

"No, Michael. I'm saying you need to be kept safe. " Lonnie looked at him with concern.

Michael patted him on the leg.

"Thanks for looking out for me, Afro Sally." Michael smiled at him.

Lonnie smiled back.

Michael turned back to the young man.

"Could you please remove your glasses, I like looking into the eyes of my friends."

Paulo smiled, removing his glasses.

Michael and Justin looked stunned at his deep green eyes.

Justin immediately remembered Daniel's words.

Was this the man to help Michael?

Michael looked into his soul.

He saw pain there, a long life of troubled pain. But he also saw genuine friendship and a trusting soul.

"Please call me Michael, Paulo."

He put out his hand, Paulo shaking it.

There was no vision or sensing of feelings.

All Michael felt was true friendship, and he sensed family.

Why family he didn't know.

Maybe the two of them would become real close.

Paulo, himself, had become lost in Michael's golden eyes. Never had he seen such glowing beautiful eyes.

"It's nice to finally meet you, Michael. I sense I've know you for a long time. I've read all about you. And I want to assure you I'll do everything in my power to protect you."

"Then we should get to know each other better, Paulo. Tell me about yourself, since you know all about me."

Paulo smiled, sensing this man's direct determination.

"Well, I was born and raised in Spain by my grandfather. My mother passed away when I was four. I've schooled here in America for a couple of years. I'm proficient in all styles of combat, martial arts and have an IQ of 234."

"Impressive." Justin smiled, still looking at his green eyes. Justin also picked up on the fact that the man was very attractive.

Michael somehow sensed a kinship with this young man.

"You have a lot in common with Michael. He's of spanish descent also. Although he was born and raised in the US by his grandmother." Justin said, smiling at Michael.

Paulo's face changed a little when he looked at Justin's gaze at Michael.

Michael picked up on it.

So did Lonnie.

"It's okay, Paulo. There are some things you need to know that you haven't read about me."

Paulo listened quietly as Michael told him about his own martial arts training and his past. And about what had happened recently.

Paulo knew most of it, although he was surprised by Michael's fighting skills.

Very impressed.

Michael didn't come right out and say he was gifted, but Paulo sensed his reluctance to do that.

"Thats fine, Michael. I'm glad you can protect yourself. I'm just here to lend a hand if needed. Think of me as a permanent friend when your travelling."

Michael smiled.

Paulo smiled back.

Justin liked the man also. He wasn't threatened by him, he wasn't Michael's type. And Justin knew he trusted Michael. Justin couldn't get over his green eyes.

They were almost as engaging as Michael's. Almost.

For the next hour they talked quietly, getting to know this young man.

Lonnie discussed his training and skills, calling his office to verify his credentials. Everything cleared. He'd been assigned to them from their head office in New York.

Alberto had many connections.

Michael and Paulo sat talking to each other, Justin sitting back listening.

Justin could see that the two men were fast becoming friends.

That made Justin smile, knowing that someone would always be with his man, someone to protect him.

Justin looked at his watch seeing the time. Three more hours before they landed.

He knew Michael wanted to explain to Paulo about Justin's relationship to him, but they knew that here in public wasn't the place to do it.

When they landed they would explain when they were in private.

Justin looked at Michael seeing his tiredness, he hadn't slept much last night.

"Mico, I think you should try napping for a while, you didn't sleep much last night." Justin said, Paulo seeing the concern on his face.

Michael smiled at him, seeing his concern on his face also.

"Okay, Jus. Paulo, I have to listen to the boss here." Michael smiled at Justin, his secret smile.

Justin smiled back, Paulo watching the interaction between the two.

And Lonnie was watching Paulo.

Lonnie thought Paulo was too smart not to see the love between these two men.

But Paulo said nothing, just laughing at Michael's remark.

"Please, Michael and Justin. Both of you rest a while. I will watch out for you guys." Paulo said, looking around.

Everyone smiled at Paulo's quiet demeanor. Michael closed his eyes, Justin smiling quietly.

Paulo watched Justin relax when Michael had closed his eyes.

Yes, there definitely was something going on between these two. Paulo also knew that Lonnie was watching him, but that was okay. He liked the fact that Lonnie was concerned about him, it showed Lonnie was on his toes.

Justin closed his eyes also. Paulo saw the two men's arms go beside each other.

He smiled.

"I'm going catch some sleep too, Paulo." Lonnie said quietly.

"Keep your eyes peeled."

"Sure thing, Lonnie." Paul said genuinely friendly.

Lonnie smiled.

He liked the guy. He felt Michael would have someone good to watch out for him.

Lonnie had also picked up on the deep green eyes, in regards to Justin's dream.

Paulo sat quietly watching the two young men, his eyes never straying far from Michael's face.

He'd finally met him face to face.

The angel with the golden eyes.

His family's saviour. His family's future.

He smiled.

What had happened when Michael had looked at him had shocked him to his very core.

He hadn't expected the wave of happiness that had washed over him.

He hadn't expected Michael's calming presence.

To meet the man face to face was like standing in front of god.

Love and kindness radiated from the mans beautiful eyes.

It was as if the man could reach into your soul with those eyes.

Paulo had felt like he'd been blessed, blessed by being looked upon by goodness.

watching Michael sleeping, if anyone had looked at Paulo at that moment, they would of seen his green eyes glowing. Glowing with the light of hope.

Their plane touched down lightly three hours later. They had all slept right through, Paulo watching over them quietly. He'd woken them ten minutes before landing.

Once they landed and embarked the plane they all piled into a black SUV that Lonnie pulled up in front of the loading spot.

Paulo got in front with Lonnie, Justin and Michael in the back seat.

Justin put his hand in Michael's.

"Welcome to the big city of Los Angeles again, Mico. They call this the city of angels. Another angel has come home." Justin smiled at Michael.

Michael beamed at his lover, seeing the love in his eyes.

Justin leaned in to kiss him, now that they were in private.

Michael stopped him by putting his hand against his chest, Michael looking towards Paulo who wasn't looking at them.

Justin smiled, knowing what Michael was going to say, and beat him to it.

"Paulo, there's something you need to know." Justin said, Lonnie and Paulo both looking at him, Lonnie turning back to keep his eyes on the road.

"If your going to tell me that you and Michael are together, relax. I already figured that out." Paulo smiled at them.

Michael smiled, Justin looked shocked.

"How?" Justin stuttered out.

Paulo smiled.

"Let's just say I don't think you have a very good poker face, Justin." Paulo said.

Michael laughed, leaning in and kissing his lover.

Justin feel under Michael's spell immediately, kissing him back deeply.

Paulo smiled brightly, turning and looking at Lonnie.

Lonnie smiled back at him.

"I knew you were smart. It's pretty easy to see, isn't it?"

"Oh yeah, Justin's got it bad."

Everyone laughed.

Justin blushed, knowing everyone could read his face easily.

Michael put his arm around him, kissing his cheek.

"And its the sexiest poker face I know."

Justin beamed, Michael sticking up for him again.

The two lovers relaxed into each other, kissing lightly, and groping a little also.

By the time they'd almost reached Justin's home, Justin was becoming greatly turned on by his lover.

It had been a few days since they'd made love, not since being here in LA.

Michael knew it and felt this timing wasn't right. He calmed Justin down quickly, promises of later passion given.

They drove right by Justin's home, Michael asking what was going on.

"It's a surprise, babe." Justin said, Michael picking up on his sudden nervousness.

"What's going on, Jus? Why are you nervous all of a sudden?" Michael asked, Justin turning his head.

He didn't say anything more, Michael looking at Lonnie.

"Lonnie?"

"Just sit back and relax, Mikey." He said with a smile.

Michael looked at Paulo.

"Don't ask me, I'm as clueless as you are." He said with a small smile.

Michael sat back, not liking being in the dark.

Justin kissed him again, trying to distract him.

"Ain't gonna work. Just tell me whats going on."

Justin sat back beside him, quiet.

After a few minutes, Michael put his hand back in his, Justin smiling.

"I love you, Jus. No matter what you've cooked up, always remember that."

Justin beamed.

After ten minutes of driving they drove through two gates down a small driveway up in front of a smaller house.

Michael looked out upon a beautiful white house.

It was smaller than Justin's home.

Two story high with a beautiful look to it.

Michael thought it was the most beautiful house he'd ever seen.

Joey and Joshua were standing at the front door waiting for them.

Justin got out quickly, running up to his friends, hugging them both.

Michael was slower but walking up right behind him.

Joey hugged Michael into a big bear hug.

"Mikey, my man. Fantastic to see you again." He said, smiling at him.

Then Joshua hugged him too, more gently.

"Great to see you, Mikey. Welcome back." He smiled.

Joshua suddenly realized how much he'd missed this remarkable man. He had a tear in his eye.

Michael smiled happily at both of them.

He introduced both to Paulo, Paulo shaking their hands.

"Great to be back, Joshy, and Joey. Is this your home, Josh? It's beyond beautiful." Michael said to Josh.

Justin smiled nervously.

Michael looked at Josh when he didn't say anything. Then he looked at Joe. Still nothing was said.

He turned and looked at Justin.

Justin had tears in his eyes. Michael picked up on his nervousness again.

He took Michael's hands in his.

"I wanted to do something special for you, my love. Something that shows you how happy I am that we're now together. I drove by this place last week on the way to Josh's and I felt it calling me in. When I went inside it was as if you and I were meant to be here, as if we both belonged here.I felt you in this house.

I don't know how else to explain it but I knew in my heart that this should be our new home."

Michael looked stunned, staring into Justin's beautiful blue eyes.

"I've bought it for you, Mico. Merry Christmas and welcome to our new home."

Everyone stared at Michael waiting for his reaction.

Paulo stood a few feet away, taking in this scene.

"Well then, lets see what its like inside." Michael said quietly.

Justin looked at him stunned.

He'd fully expected Michael to react to this surprise, to be up in arms at Justin's extravagance.

So had everyone else, Zach had been the most vocal, telling Justin that Michael wouldn't go for such overspending. He'd be happy just to be in Justin's current home.

Michael turned and opened the front door walking in.

Everyone followed, quietly looking at Justin, Michael leading the way.

The house was beautiful inside, it had a big front entrance, the large living room to the left, a large dining room on the right.

A beautiful staircase lead upstairs to the bedrooms, Michael presumed.

They all walked into the spacious home, looking in the different rooms.

The kitchen was bright, all white and spacious. Room for a large table.

There was a room next door to the kitchen that Justin wouldn't let Michael into.

"You can look in here after you've looked upstairs." He said.

Michael kept quiet, walking from room to room.

Justin couldn't feel Michael's feelings, that was worrying him.

The living room had a large fireplace, as well as plenty of room for a piano and extras.

They walked upstairs together, Justin and Michael, alone.

Everyone else waited for them downstairs.

"I don't think Michael's too impressed, Josh." Joey said, concern on his face.

Josh nodded, not sure what was going on.

Michael and Justin walked down the long hallway.

Justin pulled him into the large master bedroom, it had its own bath, walk in closet and a balcony facing the back yard.

Michael walked out onto it, looking down at the lawn, swimming pool and jaccuzzi.

He smiled a small smile seeing that.

This was the first sign of any emotion from him.

He walked back into the bedroom, Justin in tow.

They walked out into the hallway, going into the large spacious bathroom.

It contained a sunken tub as well as a shower stall.

Michael walked back out looking briefly into each additional bedroom, all five of them.

He put his hand in Justin's, lightly kissing his lips.

"Lets go back downstairs to our friends, Justin. Then you can show me that last room."

Justin still couldn't read Michael's mood.

"Please, baby. Tell me what you think, your being way too quiet."

Michael looked at him, staring into his blue eyes.

"I'll let you know when I've finished."

Justin remained quiet, as they walked downstairs.

They could hear everyone's voices echoing off the empty walls.

Justin led everyone back to the one remaining room.

He stopped in front of the door.

"Mico, I fell in love with this room right off the bat. When I saw it I know what I wanted to do with it. I hope you like it."

He opened the door into a large office with all new furniture. Against the far wall stood Michael's grandfather's desk with all Michael's books and pictures set up. Everything was in its place, right where Michael had always kept them.

There was a couple of comfortable chairs, a keyboard set up as well as a desk for Justin to use.

"This is our new office, Mico. You will have all the sunlight in the morning for you to write your books, its bright and homey. There a desk for me to write music with a keyboard, we can spend a lot of time in here together."

Michael looked around walking up to his desk. He looked at everything in its place, Justin had remembered where everything had been.

He touched the photographs of his parents and Daniel's.

The tears began to flow, his emotions finally issuing forth.

He started sobbing, the emotions overpowering him.

Justin was beside him in a flash, as were Josh and Joey.

Lonnie and Paulo stood still watching Michael's deep emotions.

Justin lead him over to the leather couch on the other side of the room, pulling him down against him.

Michael eventually started to calm down.

"You remembered where everything went on my desk, Jus. Everything. How did you remember all that?"

Justin blushed, hugging him closer.

"It was your desk, it sat in your bedroom. I remembered how loving you treated it, how everything had its own place. When I unpacked everything I somehow knew where it went. But I can't believe I got it all right."

"You did, Jus. Its as perfect as its always been. But thats not why I'm crying."

Michael started crying again.

Everyone looked at him with concern and love, even Paulo.

"How did you know Justin? How did you know?"

Justin was as confused as everyone else.

Michael looked up at him, then looked around at everyone and at this new room.

"This house, its the house of my dreams, literally."

Justin looked shocked.

"What do you mean Michael?"

"I have been dreaming of this house all my life, it was the house I always dreamed of living in. When I was in that orphanage I dreamed of a house just like this, a home for me.

But when I went to live with Nana, I still dreamt of this house. Of the fireplace in the living room, the upstairs balcony in our bedroom. The same swimming pool in the back yard.

When we drove up and I saw it, I felt I was finally home.

Do you understand what I'm trying to say, Jus?

This is my home, its always been meant to be my home."

Justin hugged him, everyone standing looking in shock.

"That's why I felt you in this house, last week, Mico. It has to be why. This house is your home. It's our home, for now and forever."

Michael smiled at Justin, and at everyone else. They all smiled back, who could resist Michael's large happy smile.

He leaned in kissing Justin deeply on his moist wet lips.

"Thank you, sweetie. This is the best Christmas gift I've ever received."

Justin beamed, his smile twice as large as Michael's.

"Well, its not all of it. We have to furnish the whole house. We're going shopping tomorrow, we'll stock every room."

Michael shook his head.

"Oh, god. The shopping demon has been released."

Everyone laughed.

Michael got up with Justin, hugging everyone.

He apologized for his outburst, everyone hugging him, knowing how this must of affected him.

To have dreamed of this house since being a child, and then to walk into it, that must of been magical.

They walked around with him now, all laughing with him, Michael telling Justin what the rooms should look like.

Josh watched the two of them together, their hands entwined.

He felt a deep jealousy, not for what they had for each other, but for what he didn't have.

He felt so alone .

Where are you, my love. Where are you, my soulmate?

In another house, far away, another man stopped suddenly.

He felt like someone had called out to him.

His chest was bruised, his eyes wet with tears.

He was close to the end of his rope. His life was at a crossroads.

There was only one choice left to him.

Death.

Or life.
