"Jus, I want this night to be just us, just you and I and our love.Do you mind if we just cuddle and kiss all evening.I love you and I want you to make love to me every day of our lives, but tonight I just want to hold you, to kiss you and tell you that I love you. I think that would make it more special."
Justin looked into Michael's golden eyes, and looked down quickly.
"It's like you can read my mind, Mico. I was thinking the same thing.I too love when we make love, but being here with each other like this, close and tender would make this evening the best."
Michael smiled a sweet smile at him, kissing him again.
Michael got Justin up, dissappearing back into the kitchen. He returned with a big bowl of cherries and strawberries and a bowl of chocolate sauce.
He set it down on the coffee table, the walked back to grab the wine bottle.
Justin carried their glasses over to the coffee table.
They moved over onto the white cloth covered sofa, Michael sitting down and directing Justin to lay down on the couch, relaxing his head in Michael's lap.
Michael leaned over grabbing a strawberrie and dipping it in the chocolate. He fed it to Justin.
And so they lay there, talking to each other, touching, kissing and being together.
They switched positions later, Michael's head in Justin's lap.
They talked about everything, their future, their dreams, their desires.
This was a night of love, tenderness and beginnings.
Their love was stronger that it had ever had been.
And in time it would have to be even stronger.
Chapter 36
Nightmares and Visions
Justin awoke as usual the next morning before Michael did.
They had talked long into the evening, their love flowing through their hearts.
They had retired to the bedroom, stripping down to only their briefs, and cuddling together in the smaller double bed.
Justin liked that closeness, no sexual agenda, just being close and intimate.
Michael was being true to his word, the last words out of his lips to his lover were said with his soul.
"I love you, Jus."
They'd fallen asleep in their usual position.
Justin looked down at him, seeing him sleeping, his breath blowing on Justin's chest.
It sent a small ripple through his heart.
"You are my angel, Michael.Thank you for loving me." Justin whispered under his breath.
Michael seemed to smile, as if he'd heard him in his sleep.
He murmured something that Justin couldn't understand.
Justin lay there thinking about the two of them.
He knew they were connected together.
If he'd though deeply about it yesterday he'd probably would have learned what Michael was doing.
But then again, he wouldn't of been surpised.
They talked about that last night, about their ability to almost read each other's minds.
Michael said that he didn't believe that that was what they were doing.
He felt they were reading their feelings only.
He didn't think it right for them to read each other's minds, that they were individuals with seperate thoughts and dreams.
He trusted Justin enough to respect his individualism. His right to free thinking.
Justin smiled again, loving Michael even more.
They'd talked again about the phone call, and what it had done to Michael.
His feelings of impending doom.
Justin promised him again that he'd never let anything or anyone hurt him.
That made Michael tear up, bringing on a passionate kiss. They'd both become excited, but didn't go further.
Justin loved that. That they could control their desires, that love itself was enough.
He also though about their fantastic love making.
Michael could send him to heights of passion he never knew existed.
When he touched him in certain places, Justin's body reacted with its own passion.
When Michael woke this morning , Justin was going to let him send him to those heights again.
Justin closed his eyes, feeling in his mind Michael's magic touch.
He lay there for a few minutes just being happy.
Then Justin sensed that something was wrong.
Michael was beginning to move, as if restless.
Justin opened his eyes, looking down at his face.
It looked troubled, unsure.
He felt Michael was having a bad dream.
For the two weeks he'd been with him, he'd only had maybe one dream. He usally slept soundly against him.
Suddenly Michael moved away from him, laying on his back.Justin saw him balling his hands into fists. His body started to tremble.
Justin sat up, worry suddenly creeping into his mind.
Michael's mind was in a place of terror.
Michael lay on his back on a moldy cot. The room he was in was dreary and damp. Windowless and small. To Michael it felt like a cell, but he thought it might be a basement.
He was in pain, his whole body hurt.
He knew he'd been beaten badly, his left eye was swollen almost shut.
He felt the slickness of wet blood on different places on his body.
He felt deep pain in the center of his body, his ass cheeks and thighs aching badly.
He knew what that feeling centered from.
He knew what had been taken from him again.
His dignity and his soul.
His right hand throbbed, a dull aching that seemed to echo in his heart.
But he could hardly move, his strength was gone.
He felt chains on his wrists, chains that held him down.
He heard laughter echoing off the closed in walls.
"Dear stupid Mikey. Dear foolish Mikey. You thought you could escape my vengeance.
Did you enjoy it like the whore you are. Did you love the feeling of being a slut. Thats what you are Micky, always begging for more like the slut you are."
Michael shook his head, fearing this hateful voice.
He knew this voice, he knew its terrifying owner.
He turned his head slowly, seeing a man standing in shadows, something gleaming in his hand.
"You were mine to take, Michael. I've taken it all from you, your spirit, your soul, your faith and all that's now left is your heart. The heart that you gave to him, to your disgusting faggot lover, Justin.
But I have a final hurt, Michael. I have a final pain for you.
He's going to be mine too, Mikey.
I got to you, I can easily get to him.
I'm going to fuck him like you never could, I'll make him my whore, like you were his.
And when I'm done using him, I'm going to feed him your dead heart and he's going to choke to death on it.
The heart that I am now going to cut out of your chest."
Michael watched the man approach, coming into the dim light.
It was him, and then again it wasn't him.
He held a silver knife in his right hand.
He was coming to kill him , to cut out his heart.
Michael screamed, the man throwing his head back laughing.
Michael put his hands up to block the man from him.
He saw the reason his right hand throbbed.
His faith ring was missing. And so was the finger it had been on. It was completely cut off.
His ring of faith was gone.
His faith, his love and his soul, they all had been taken from him.
And his Justin was going to be taken from him too.
His golden eyes glowed.
And he screamed, a bright light blinding him , and then immense darkness engulfing him.
Michael screamed and screamed, someone was holding him down, someone was trying to hurt him.
He heard a distant voice, a familiar one.
"Mico, oh god Mico, calm down ,please baby."
Michael zoned in on it, knowing now who he was hearing.
He opened his golden eyes to see Justin crying above him, holding him down.
"Justin, thank god your okay, he didn't hurt you."
Justin saw the terror in his eyes, the look of a terrified child.
Justin took his hands off Michael's arms, he'd been trying to hold him down, he'd been screaming and fighting him.
Michael jumped up, clinging to Justin's chest, Justin feeling his sweating body against his chest.
Michael had been terrified by a dream, or maybe worse, a vision.
He still was terrified, still shaking.
Justin held him tight, trying to calm him.
He resorted to his old trick. He started humming, loudly.
Michael focused on the melodic sound, gradually calming.
Justin held him for a long time, till he finally looked up into his blue eyes.
"It was so terrifying Jus."
Justin rubbed his shoulder, kissing him lightly.
"Was it a vision or just a dream, sweetie."
Michael lowered his head.
"I don't know, Jus. I just don't know.Oh, god, if its a vision, oh god, Jus...."
Michael was getting upset again.
Justin kissed him again, holding him.Michael finally relaxing again.
"Can you tell me what it was about, babe. What was so terrifying? "
Michael looked up at Justin again, Justin seeing the terror still in his eyes.
"It was Paul, Justin. It was Paul, he had me chained in a room, he'd raped me again, he'd beaten and raped me.
He was laughing, he said he was going to go after you next.
That he was going to feed my dead heart to you after he raped you.
He cut my finger off Justin, he took my faith ring.
He took my faith from me, like he took my soul the first time.
Oh, god, it's Paul, he's after me again.
Don't let him get me, Jus. Please don't let him hurt me again."
Michael was bawling, sobs racking his body.
Justin just held him , he was trembling and shaking, Justin not knowing what else to do.
How had this happened, he'd been so happy when he fell asleep last night.
This couldn't be a vision, it was impossible.
Paul was dead.
"Paul's dead, Michael. He's dead. He can't hurt you any more.
It was just a bad dream, Mico. Just a bad dream."
Michael clung to Justin, finally crying himself out.
They lay there, Justin protecting him, holding him close.
They stayed together for a long time, Michael not saying anything, just breathing deeply.
Justin thought that he'd fallen asleep again.
He needed to use the bathroom badly.
He slowly started to get up, Michael instantly pulling him close again.
He didn't want him to leave.
"Mikey, I need to use the can."
"Don't leave me alone, Jus. Please don't leave me alone." Michael was in tears again.
Justin didn't think twice about what to do.
He pulled Michael up with him, leading him to the bathroom.
He sat him down on a chair in the toilet, Justin turning to do his business, Michael just sitting there, not looking at him.
When Justin was finished he flushed then sat down on the covered toilet seat.
He put his hands in Michael's.
"You okay, babe?"
Michael nodded his head slowly, but Justin knew he wasn't okay, he could feel it in his soul.
Michael was scared, petrified to lose sight of Justin. Scared that someone was after them.
He actually believed it was a vision.
Justin had to get some help, he needed Zach here and Lonnie. And he needed to talk with Anna.
Somehow subconsciously Michael was reverting to his former state of terror.
Justin couldn't figure out what had set him off.
"Lets take a shower, Mico. You'll feel a lot better when your clean and less sweaty."
Justin pulled him up, Michael letting him take his briefs off and following him into the shower.
They held each other while Justin adjusted the water temperature.
Justin washed him down slowly, Michael leaning his head against his chest, almost like the first time they'd showered together.
Only this time Michael wasn't sick, he was emotionally distraught.
Michael came around a bit, actually beginning to wash Justin.
Justin smiled at him, Michael looking into his blue eyes. Michael smiled back at him but those thoughts keep coming back to him , those thoughts of someone hurting his lover. someone hurting his sweet Justin.
Michael pulled him against him tight, Justin sensing his slip back into fear.
Justin sighed, turning the water off.
He dried himself off, then helped Michael dried himself.
They walked back into the bedroom hand in hand, getting dressed and then cleaning up as well as they could.
Justin went out into the kitchen , Michael close on his heels.
Justin didn't say anything, he just smiled at him sweetly.
He knew what Michael was doing. He was keeping a very close eye on him. He was afraid to let him out of his sight.
They walked back into the white living room, Justin smiling at the memory of last night.
The evening of loving happiness.
He looked at Michael and saw him smiling, he knew he was remembering it too.
He almost looked like his old self, but you could still see the fear in his eyes.
They pulled off all the white covers, folding them all up together, Michael actually laughing a bit as Justin played around with him.
it took them a few minutes to tidy everything up, a lot less time than it had to set up.
Then the phone rang, Michael almost jumping out of his skin. He screamed, pushing up against the wall, his eyes bulging.
Justin grabbed it quickly.
"Hello?"
"Hey lover, can you walk this morning?" Zach said then started laughing.
He laughed and laughed, and then realized Justin wasn't saying anything.
Justin was staring at Michael, he wasn't relaxing.
"You there, Justin?"
"Yes, Zach. When are you coming here? I need you here. And Lonnie too." Justin said, Zach instantly picking up the toneof his voice.
"What's wrong, Justin? Is Michael okay? "
Lonnie looked up from the chair he was sitting in beside Zach, concern on his face.
Justin looked over at Michael, he was trembling, clenching his hands together.
Then he started rubbing his faith ring, round and round his finger.
And then Justin saw something that terrified him.
Michael's golden eyes were glowing, on and off.
"No, Zach. He's not alright. Get here please, quickly."
"On our way right now, Justin."
Zach slammed down the phone.
He grabbed his coat off the chair and bolted for the door.
Lonnie was right on his ass.
"What's wrong Zach? What's wrong with Michael?"
"I don't know Lonnie. But Justin sounded terrified."
Zach and Lonnie raced across town, as fast as they could.
They made it there in less than twenty minutes, on a trip that should of took them thirty five.
They entered the apartment to a shocking site.
Justin was on the floor in the middle of the living room, sobbing, holding tightly onto Michael.
Michael was laying down flat on his back, his whole body convulsing , shaking and jumping.
His eyes were glowing brightly, dim then bright, dim then bright.
Zach was beside him in a flash.
"How long has he been like this, Justin?"
Justin didn't move.
"Justin, damn it!!" Zach punched his arm.
Justin came out of his shock.
"Oh god, Zach . he just collapsed about ten minutes ago. I don't know what's wrong with him.
Please help him, please Zach.
Your a doctor, please help him."
Lonnie put his arm around Justin trying to comfort him.
"Listen to me, now. Get me two bowls full of ice cold water, fill it with ice cubes and two towels.
I also need my medical bag from my bedroom."
Justin and Lonnie stood quickly, Justin running for Zach's bag, Lonnie running to the kitchen.
They were both back in seconds, Lonnie with two towels and one bowl, and then running back for the second bowl.
Zach set both bowls about two feet apart on the floor.
He pulled out some antiseptic salve from his bag and a large roll of bandages.
"Don't know if I'll need these but I need to be prepared."
Both guys looked at him in puzzlement.
"Trust me guys, I know whats going on. Help me get Michael sitting up on his knees."
They helped Zach get Michael kneeling, his body still shaking.
"Now both of you guys hold him up.I will explain to you what I think's happening.
Michael for some reason became terrified about something, or scared.
He had a bad vision or dream, didn't he Justin?"
Justin nodded.
Zach sighed.
"I think when Michael is terrified or extremely upset his inner gifts ignite, they set off their own defenses.
His body can't control them, they simmer below the surface, until they explode.
That's why his eyes are glowing."
They all looked at his eyes, seeing that they were now pulsing brightly.
"He's going to explode. I saw it happen once before. The only way to stem it is to shock his system.
At least that's what Michael showed me to do.
God, I hope it works.
When I give you the cue place his hands in the bowls of water, then back away quickly.
I don't know how powerful this might be."
Justin and Lonnie looked at each other, Zach pulling a cushion off his couch and positioning it in front of his face.He lowered his body lower than Michael line of sight.
"On the count of three put his hands quickly at the same time into the water. One two, three!"
Lonnie and Justin put Michael's hands into the ice cold water and then jumped back.
Michael gasped, his head flinging back. his voice screaming.
All three of them felt a wave of hot air crash against them throwing them backwards against the walls like rag dolls, all of them landing on the floor in the overturned furniture.
Then Michael fell forward.
Zach was up in a flash at his side.
Michael looked up at him, staring into his eyes, his own golden eyes back to normal. And then he passed out.
Zach held him tight.
"It's okay, Mikey. It's ok, I did it like you told me. It worked. Your okay."
Justin and Lonnie crawled back up to their feet, both dazed.
Then Justin saw Michael laying still, he had him in his arms in a flash.Zach relinguished his hold on him.
Lonnie and him stood, looking down on the two.
"Damn glad you were here, Zach. Damn glad."
"SO am I, if I hadn't of been this whole apartment, hell this whole block might of been destroyed."
Lonnie looked at him stunned.
"Let's get Michael into bed and we'll talk after. He will be sleeping for a while."
Zach looked at Justin.
"Justin, you okay?"
Justin looked up at Zach, not saying anything, then looking back at Michael.
Michael was asleep in his arms.
Zach looked at Lonnie, Lonnie bent down picking up Michael in his strong arms and carrying him into the bedroom, a quiet Justin and Zach following.
Once they'd got him settled down, and comfortable, all three walked back into the living room.
They looked at all the furniture tossed around, as if it was blown against the walls.
"Well, I had planned on redecorating soon anyway." Zach laughed.
Lonnie and Justin smiled a bit, then all three laughed, releasing their pent up emotions.
Justin sat down on the cushionless sofa, and tears fell from his eyes.
Zach was holding him tightly in a moment.
"I couldn't do anything, I didn't know what to do.I couldn't help him." Justin cried.
Lonnie patted his shoulder.
"Justin this isn't your fault, this wasn't because of you. Let me tell you about the last time this happened." Zach said.
Justin and Lonnie quieted down listening to Zach.
"It happened the day that Paul and his friends were released from jail. Michael had only been home from the hospital for three days,
When we told Michael that they'd gotten off free, he became terrified.
I'd never seen him so terrified.
He actually screamed and we couldn't control him.We couldn't calm him down
He ran.
He ran like the wind.I'd never seen anyone run so fast.He dissappeared, we couldn't keep up with him.
He ran all the way to the lake.
Twenty five miles, Justin.
Three days out of a hospital after that tragic assault on him.
He ran twenty five miles, and I don't think he stopped once.
He was that terrified.
I knew where he'd go.
That special place at the lake was his sanctuary.
Thats where I found him, two hours later.
And he looked just like he did here. His eyes were glowing , his eyes were glowing like today.
I knew he had those gifts, he'd told me. I didn't hate him for that, I loved him.
He was and always will be my best friend, my brother."
Justin hugged Zach, loving this man for his caring heart, and for his love for Michael.
"I didn't know what to do, Justin. Just like you I didn't know what was going on.
Michael wasn't talking he was just staring into space, his whole body shaking.
I thought it was an epileptic fit.
I tried to hold him down, and his eyes kept getting brighter and brighter.
He pushed me away from me, knocking me down in front of him. And then he stood up.
And then he screamed, the most loud , god awful screech.
And the air around him exploded, I shrunk to the ground at his feet. His putting me there was the only thing that saved me.
All around him for hundreds of feet trees were burning, the force of his gifts obliterating a lot of them to little fragments."
Justin and Lonnie stared at him in shock.
"That was the raw power of his gifts. That was their destructive side. That force lives inside Michael."
Zach looked at them both, still seeing love in Justin's blue eyes. This man did indeed love his friend.
"Michael slept for three days, three uninterrupted days.
I was beginning to think he'd never wake up.But he did.
And when he woke up he was calm ,cool and relaxed.
He explained to me and Nana what had happened."
Zach looked at Justin.
"The gifts that are inside him are like an energy source.
When he became terrified he closed off his mind from his heart and soul, in a sense he pulled the switch to off.
So the energy inside of him was cut off from its controls.
That energy began to boil and when it had run out of space to contain it, it exploded.
Pure naked, uncontrolled energy destroyed those trees."
Justin looked at Zach not believing what he was hearing.
That Michael could have that kind of energy inside him, that kind of power.
"Its a dangerous gift that he carries, Justin. It took him a long time to control it, to master its seething power.
This is the only time since that he hasn't controlled it.
When he's emotionally distressed, sheer terror makes him a living time bomb.
He showed me what he thought could counteract it.
Thats what I did today, what he showed me. He saved his own self today."
Zach was beginning to cry, his feelings for his dear friend evident.
Justin hugged him to him, showing Zach that he cared for Michael.
"Then we have to make sure that Michael never gets terrified, never gets that scared again.
We have to make him feel safe, always."
Zach looked up at Justin, seeing he meant every word.
"What terrified him, Justin?"
"He had a really bad nightmare, Zach. He's certain it was a vision. He thinks its going to happen."
Zach sensed Justin didn't want to tell him about it, that it was too horrible.
"Tell me Justin, I need to know. Did he see your death? Or did he see his own?"
Justin took a deep breath.
Lonnie sat down beside them, looking at Justin.
"Go on Jus, tell us." Lonnie said concern on his face.
" Michael saw himself being kidnapped by Paul, being hurt again by him.
Paul raped him again, and he cut off his faith ring and his finger.
He took everything from him again, his faith, his love for me, and his hope.
Then he told him he was going to rape me, then feed me Michael's heart before he killed me.
In the dream he was going to cut the heart out of Michael."
Zach and Lonnie both gasped, knowing how greatly that would traumatize Michael.
" Michael woke up so terrified, he was fighting me. Then he cried forever. It took me a long time to calm him down.
And then he wouldn't let me out of his sight.
He's terrified I'm going to get hurt."
"Why all of a sudden is he dreaming about Paul? " Zach asked.
Justin told them about the phone call Michael had received and about Nana's talk with him.
About Paul's death.
"Oh god, Justin. It had to be a crank call, it can't be Paul if he's dead." Zach said.
" I know Zach, I know. Thats why I want to prove to him Paul's dead, so he can see this is all a dream."
Zach understood Justin's reasoning, his need to make Michael feel safe.
" Lon, I want you to get hold of our contacts with the police, and our private investigators.
Find out everything you can about Paul Richard's, all about his life and his death."
Lonnie saw Justin's determination to allay Michael's fears.
" Will do, Justin. I'll find out everything I can."
Lonnie got up pulling out his cell phone, making a call.
" I'm going to call Anna, Zach. I going to find out what she thinks about this, how to calm him down."
Zach nodded.
"What can I do to help?"
"Just be his friend, Zach. How long do you think he'll sleep?"
"I don't know, Justin. The last time was more exhausting on him, I think maybe four or six hours."
"Can you stay here and watch him, I have these rehearsals today. I don't want to leave him alone. Maybe I should cancel."
" Of course Justin. I'm not on call till tomorrow morning. You know Michael would be pissed if you cancelled because of him."
Justin smiled, knowing Zach was right.
Lonnie got off his phone, looking at Justin.
"Security is going to pull up everything they can find about him.It should take a few hours, though. Their contacting all our police and FBI contacts."
"Thanks, Lon."
Justin called Anna, hoping to get her help with Michael.
After talking with her for about twenty minutes, Justin finally hung up.
"She says to keep him calm we just need to keep his mind on something else.
She thinks it may all be post traumatic.
After he learned of Paul's death his mind couldn't accept that finality, so he's dreaming he's real.
She coming to New York tomorrow afternoon for a convention, she's offered to stop in and see him."
Justin stifled a yawn, the stress finally taking its toll.
"You need to relax yourself Justin, why don't you go lay down with Michael." Lonnie said, putting his hand on Justin's shoulder.
Justin nodded getting up and heading into the bedroom.
"If I fall asleep wake me up at noon."
"Sure thing bud." Zach said.
Justin came back to Zach, Zach getting up.
He hugged him tight, tears in his eyes.
"Thank you, Zach. Thanks for being here when he and I needed you."
Zach hugged him back, seeing Justin's sincere gratitude showing on his face.
"Anytime, and anything for him, Jus. He's my brother."
Justin smiled turning and walking into the bedroom.
He quietly lay down on the bed beside Michael looking at his face. He was sleeping quietly.
The moment Justin was beside him, Michael rolled up against him, putting his arms around him.
Justin tears began falling, seeing Michael's need for him.
"No one will hurt you my love, I promise you."
Justin closed his eyes.
Justin found himself in the forest clearing again. He heard the breeze flowing through the trees, a song carrying on the wind.
As before, he couldn't match the music to a song.
Then he realized what it was.
It was Michael's music, the one he'd played for him last night.
The beautiful melody filled the air, Justin's heart soaring with the love he felt in the music.
"It's a beautiful melody, isn't it Jus? "
Justin looked to his left seeing Daniel sitting down on the familiar boulder.
" Yes its beyond beautiful. It's Michael's own music." Justin smiled.
Justin sat down on the boulder beside Daniel.
"Hello, Daniel. How are you?"
Daniel smiled a wide grin.
"Your asking an angel how he is? How sweet, Justin."
Justin blushed, feeling a little ridiculous.
"I keep thinking of you as flesh, as real."
"I am real Justin, just not of the earth. Thats how you should think of me."
Justin smiled.
Daniel smiled back and then hugged Justin tightly, Justin returned it.
"I wanted to thank you."
"For what?" Justin asked, shyly.
"For saving him, Jus. For putting Michael back on the path of unending love."
Justin smiled widely.
"He's healed, then?" Justin asked looking into Daniel's eyes.
Daniel lowered his head for a moment, raising it again with a tear showing now in his eyes.
"Almost, Justin.Almost."
Justin sighed, realizing he'd been hoping against all odds that Michael was finally healed.
Daniel put his arm around him.
"There's a fork in the path ahead, Justin. The fork of the choice. It's very close now."
" What is the choice, Daniel? Please tell me. If you truly want to help him, I need to know."
"I'm sorry, Justin, I can't."
Daniel stood up turning away from him.
"I thought you loved him? I thought you cared? Why can't you help him."
Daniel wheeled around looking at Justin with hurt tears in his eyes.
"I do care, I do love him. How can you ask me that? I would give my eternal life for him, I love him so much."
Justin got up,grabbing Daniel in a tight hug.
" I'm sorry Daniel, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't of said that. I know what he means to you, he means the same and more to me."
Daniel pulled away, looking at Justin with a smile.
"I've watch him these last few days, there's so much happiness in his soul, so much love. And you put it there, Justin."
" I love him so much, Daniel. He's my life, he's my heart and soul."
Justin sat down on the rock again, Daniel joining him.
"If anything were to happen to him, I don't know what I'd do, Daniel. Is Michael in danger? I have this feeling."
Daniel looked at Justin, seeing so much caring and love in him.
Daniel looked up at the sky.
"Father, please let me tell him, please let me tell him the truth."
The sky rumbled, and turned lighter, Justin sensing some kind of reply to Daniel's lament.
Daniel turned to Justin looking at him with concern.
"I am not allowed to tell you the course of Michael's path, Justin. BUt I can tell you some things."
Justin looked at Daniel, hoping for anything.
"There are people searching for Michael. People who need him in their lives.
You see, Justin, Michael is very special, he's very important to many people.
He carries the hopes and dreams of an entire generation.
They think of him as the hope for their future."
"Who are they, what do they want with him. Do they want to hurt him? "
"No, Justin, they care deeply for him. Thats all I can say about that.It will definitely play into Michael's choice."
Daniel looked up into the sky again, as if he were listening to someone.
He turned back to Justin.
"Justin, do you believe that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one?"
Daniel looked at Justin with no facial expression.
Justin sensed that this was somehow important.
"Yes, the needs of many should outweigh one person's need."
Daniel smiled, but didn't look too convinced.
"There are many things about Michael's life that even he doesn't know yet, Jus. Some will be known to him soon.
But one important piece of his life can only be known by him making the right choice."
"Is there anything I need to do to influence how he chooses."
"No, Justin, you've already done your part, you've fallen in love with him.
The rest is up to him."
Justin felt that Daniel was at an end to what he could reveal.
Daniel turned looking at Justin.
"You said he'd have more pain, Daniel. Is it physical or emotional?"
"It's both, Justin."
"Your scaring me Daniel." Justin's tears were visible.
Daniel hugged him again.
He looked again at the sky.
"All I can tell you is to tell him to trust his green eyes. And that the glowing power is his redemption."
Justin woke up, looking around.
Michael hadn't moved from his chest.
He lay back taking a deep breath.
What did Daniel mean. What green eyes?
Justin or Michael hadn't green eyes.
Justin knew the glowing power had to be Michael's gifts.
Lonnie quietly walking into the room, seeing Justin awake.
"Your awake, Jus. Did you get some sleep?"
Justin looked at the clock, it was twelve thirty. Lonnie had let him sleep a little longer.
Justin smiled at him, seeing his caring.
"Yeah, I'm better, thanks."
"Lunch is ready."
Justin carefully lifted Michael's arm, he didn't move much. He really was exhausted.
He walked into the kitchen with Lonnie.
Justin saw that they'd cleaned the living room up, it was almost back to its original state, but he did notice a few things missing, some of it had been broken.
Zach gave Justin a hug before he sat down at the table.
Justin looked at them both and let it all out.
He told them all about his dream with Daniel.
They listened to it all, not talking.
"What do you think Daniel meant about green eyes?"
"I assume its someone's eyes. Do any of you know anyone with green eyes? Does Michael know anyone, Zach?"
Zach and Lonnie both shook their heads.
"It must be someone new who we haven't seen or met." Lonnie said.
"The glowing power of redemption must be his gifts." Zach said, Justin agreeing with him.
"Oh shit. Lance! He has green eyes." Justin jumped up.
"Lance? You mean Lance Bass?"
"But Jus. It can't be Lance, Michael hasn't met him, Lance has no involvement." Lonnie said.
Justin sat down again dejected.
"It was just a thought."
Lonnie put his arm around him.
"Only time will tell Justin. Only time will tell."
Paulo sat across the street from Zach's apartment.
He'd seen Justin, Zach and Lonnie go in last night, Lonnie and Zach leaving without him.
Hmm, he thought.
Interesting.
Justin Timberlake spent the night with Michael alone.
Did that mean anything or was it just two friends hanging out.
Paulo knew Michael was gay, that he knew from the start.
Nah, not Justin Timberlake.
Paulo had read all about him too. His many girlfriends, romances, etc.
No, it was two friends spending time together.
He'd also seen Zach and Lonnie rushing in this morning.
Both looked worried.
Paulo hated not knowing what was going on.
He'd talked to Alberto last night, relaying what he'd learned so far.
Alberto told him to stay put, to follow and watch.
Paulo would not dissappoint his grandfather.
Not where it concerned Michael.
He removed his sunglasses, staring across the street.
His green eyes glittered in the afternoon sunshine.
End of Chapter 36
Well, is Paulo Michael's saviour?
And who is he?
Or is it Lance?
What does Michael's vision/dream mean?
A lot of questions and plot twists.
I love it.
Keep the viewpoints coming.
Love ya, Angel.
