Josh's phone rang, he got up to answer it. "Oh, hi Lynn.Ok, yes I will tell him.Sure thing Lynn. Are you sure you don't....Okay." Josh hung up the phone, turning and looked at Justin. "Man, Justin. Your mom is really upset about something. She wants you home now.No ifs or buts.Now." Justin felt a sinking feeling in his chest. "Did she say whats wrong?" "No, Jus.Just for you to get your ass home now.Come on, I'll drive ya." "I'll go too, Curly. Then after we can go get some eats." "Joey, you'll never change." Josh laughed. Justin didn't say anything, he felt a sense of impending doom. They all hopped into Josh's jeep, and in a few minutes were pulled up in Justin's driveway. They all walked into Justin's home, walking into the living room. Lynn was standing at the window looking out. She turned and looked at the three men. Justin right away could see that she'd been crying. "You alright, mom?" The guys all knew something was wrong. "We need to talk, Justin.Your friends need to leave." Josh and Joey turned to go, but Justin stopped them. "No guys wait.Whats wrong, mom? What's going on that you have to talk to me alone." "Ok, Justin. If this is the way you want it, then fine.Let your friends find out too, then." She walked up to him, looking into his blue eyes. "Can you explain this to me and what it means?" She pulled out the letter she'd been holding behind her back. Justin stared at it seeing the familiar writing. His heart stopped.Michael's love letter from his jacket pocket, where he'd carelessly left it. "Can you explain to me why my son has destroyed my heart."

Chapter 32

Justin stared at his mother, feeling so alone, his world falling around him. She said he'd broken her heart? "Mom, what are you saying?" He struggled to get those words out. Lynn's tears were threatening to start again. "I'm saying that I don't know you anymore, Justin. You've lied to me. Was your relationship with Cameron all a lie? Have you decieved me for years?" "Momma, I'm the same person I've always been.I'm your little Justy, that's who I'll always be." "Then what is this trash, Justin? This Michael, who proclaims to love you."Lynn's anger was mounting, throwing the letter at Justin. The letter fell to the floor. Josh and Joey saw how distressed Justin was, how he was beginning to break down. "My son can't be gay.I can't have a gay son.Not you,Justin." "He does love me, mom.And I love him. He's the best thing thats ever happened to me in my life." "You dissappoint me, Justin. Your my son. I thought I knew you?" Justin's tears were flowing, his heart breaking. "I'm the same person you've always loved.I'm just gay, mom.I've finally being honest with myself.I've tried to deny it for so long that it was eating me alive inside.I couldn't keep this buried anymore, it was overwhelming me. And then I met a man.A man with the kindest, most loving heart. We were destined for each other, mom." "Don't feed me that nonsense, Justin. Two men can't have that kind of deep relationship. Its just not right.I won't allow it.Your to stop seeing this man immediately. Walk away from him.I forbid you to ever see him again. We'll find you a nice girl and you'll raise children. Put this nonsense behind you." Josh and Joey stared at her, not believing she was giving Justin this ultimatum. And they weren't sure what Justin's state of mind was either. He looked utterly destroyed. He'd always listened to his mother, would he cow to her now? He'd never gone against her wishes. He loved his mother unconditionally. "No, momma." "What did you mean, no?" "I said no, momma.I am a grown man, I have the right to love who I want to love.I have the right to find my own happiness. And I've found everything with Mico. I love Michael Tavarro. If you'd just meet him, see the man for who he is.You'd realize why I love him." "I can't do that Justin. It's just not right.I can't allow that type of person to come near my children." "What are you saying, mom?" "I'm saying that you have a choice to make, Justin.Either your family, who love you, or a stranger you've known for less than a week. The decision is yours." Justin stared at his mother. She couldn't be serious. "Momma, no please, I can't make that choice." He was beginning to sob now, his emotions overflowing. "Then I can't allow you to be near your brothers.I can't allow them to see the wanton lifestyle you've embraced. Please leave, Justin." Justin was openly crying, Joey was holding on to him.Justin's cell phone went off, the loud ring echoeing in the silence. Justin didn't answer it. His mind was on the woman in front of him, his mother. "Lynn, you can't be serious.Don't hurt your son like this?" Joey said, looking at her with concern. "What would your grandfather think, Justin? How could god love you with this sin in your heart." "Lynn stop it!Haven't you destroyed your son enough?" Josh's anger was rising. "He's not my son anymore. He's not the little boy I raised and loved. How can I love him when he won't love me enough to be normal." Justin sobbed, hearing his mother's hurtful words. "Lets leave, Joe.There's no reasoning with her, she too emotional. Lets get him calmed down, then tomorrow we'll see what can be done." "Tomorrow won't be any different,Joshua. Its only one way from here, the way through god's love." Lynn stared at her son, her own tears falling. "I love you momma, I always will. Please understand my love for him, I can't live without him, I just can't." Justin cried as Josh walked him down the hall with Joey still holding onto him also. Lynn collapse onto the sofa, sobbing into her hands. She's just lost her son, her life. They left the house, Josh getting in the back seat of his jeep with Justin, holding him while he continued to cry. The deep sobs racked his body, his heart was broken. They all heard Justin's phone going off, the shrill ring shrieking in the closed in vehicle.

Michael had fallen asleep, and as usual he dreamed no dreams. It was a deep sleep. He bolted up off the couch, feeling terrified. His heart beat loudly in his chest. He felt a deep hurt in his soul. It was coming from Justin. Something tragic had happened. He could feel the crushing hurt in Justin's soul. Michael stubbled off the couch hunting for his cell phone on the coffee table. He hit Justin's number, it rang five times then the voice mail picked it up.Justin's voice came on saying to leave a message. He left a distressing message. Then he paced, he paced back and forth. For ten minutes he paced. Then he tried the phone again. "Hello!" Josh's voice sounded thick. As if he was upset. "Tell me right now whats going on, Josh.I feel Justin's deep pain.Whats happened to my love?" Michael voice was calm but firm. Josh was speechless, staring at Joey. "Michael, thats impossible. How could you of known." "I've already told you how, Josh. Now tell me what the hell is going on.Let me talk to my Jus." "Michael, I will be honest. It's pretty fucked up here.Justin's mom found your letter. She totally freaked out. She's disowned him, she's kicked him out of his own home. He's devastated, Michael.I've never seen him so hurt." "Let me talk to him, Josh, please." Michael felt Justin's deep anguish. He knew how he felt. Josh got Justin to sit up. "Justy, Mikey is on the phone, he wants to talk to you." Justin lifted his head grabbing the phone out of Josh's hand. "Mikey, help me please.I'm so alone.I've lost my mom.She said she doesn't love me anymore. What can I do, I feel so alone.I need you ,baby.I gave up everything for you, please help me, I need you." Michael was in tears. He heard the lost child in Justin, the little boy who'd upset him mom.Justin didn't know what to do.Justin was crying again. "Its okay my love, I'm on my way.I will be there as fast as I can." But Michael knew what to do.He knew in his heart. His eyes glowed with determination. Josh came back on the phone. "Michael he's totally breaking down, we got to let you go,I'll call you when we get him calmed down." Josh said, Michael hearing the hurt in his voice. "Take care of him, Josh. And please watch him close, in his state of mind who know's what can happen." "Alright, Michael.God, what are we going to do?" "I will try and fix this, Josh.I will for Justin.Tell him I'm here for him, that I am in his soul, that i will be there for him when he has to face her again. When he's calmed down, tell him that. And try and make him sleep,Josh." "Will do Michael.I wish you were here, he needs you." "I know Josh, I'm on my way." "Michael,is that a good idea? There's not much you can do to reason with her. She's pretty determined against." "So am I Josh.So am I." Josh felt a deep resolve in Michael's voice, as if he'd made up his mind about something. "What are you going to do, Mikey?" "Thats my decision, just keep him safe till I get there.I probably won't be able to fly down till sometime tomorrow, keep him safe for me, Josh. And tell him I love him." "I will, Mikey.Wait a sec, Joey wants to talk to you." Joey got on the phone. "Hey, Michael. Joe here. Can't wait to meet you. You've really made an impression on our Justin.Josh is smitten with you too.And I think you'll become really special to all of us.I've already seen you in my dreams." Michael smiled, he already knew he'd like this man. "Thanks, Joe.I want that friendship too.See you sometime tomorrow.Keep my man safe." "Will do." Michael hung up his cell. He ran to the kitchen, pulling out the phone book.He called the airlines, connecting immediately. His luck was phenomenal. He had a connecting flight in two hours. He'd be in LA at six am their time. He quickly scribbled down a note for Zach and Vicky. His mind was focused, he knew what he had to do. Before he saw his Jus, there was one stop he had to make. One final date with his past.

Josh stretched, looking out the window, the morning sun beating down.Another sunny day in LA. He looked at Justin sound asleep in his bed. He'd tossed and turned all night, crying in his sleep, calling out for Michael. Josh had tried to comfort him, but he still cried. Joey had taken his turn, holding him in a bear hug for three hours. Josh had taken the last shift. It was now almost seven am. He'd tried calling Michael on his cell, but received no answer. He didn't want to call the apartment, knowing everyone would be asleep. He'd wait till eight or nine to let them get up and finish breakfast. That would make it about eleven o'clock their time. Joey knocked lightly on the door, sticking his head in. "How's he doing?" "He's finally fallen asleep. He's been sleeping for about three hours." Josh put Michael's book down that he'd finished reading. Joey walked over to Josh, rubbing his shoulders. "How about you, how are you doing?" "Man, I've been sitting here thinking, about what's happened.I never thought Lynn would turn against him like that. You remember how she was when we were together. Her world was him.He was her baby." "I know, Josh. Its pretty sad.I feel so much for him, this must be tearing him apart." "God, I wish Michael was here. He's so in tune with him, he knows exactly how to calm him and make him smile." "Michael sounds like quite a guy." "He is, Joe.He's so together, so courageous. He is remarkable.Him and Justin are so in love." Josh lowered his head, Joey saw a tear in his eye. "I almost destroyed what was between them, Joe. I almost destroyed their true love. And now Lynn is doing the same thing." "What are you talking about, Josh?" Josh looked at his friend, tears in his eyes. "I'm gay, Joe. I've known for years.I've always accepted it.And unfortunately I thought I was in love with Justin. When I found out Justin was gay, I thought I could break them up, I though I could win his love. I was so wrong, Joe.Michael and Justin were destined to be together and I almost destroyed that." Joey hugged him, shocked that Josh was gay, but not upset. "Its okay, Josh.Thank you for trusting me enough to be honest with me.It's okay.We all make mistakes.Looks to me that Justin and, whats more remarkable, Michael, have forgiven you." "Yes, Michael trusts me completely now.He actually asked me to take care of Justin. He trusts us both that much." Joey was shocked that someone could have that much faith in other people, even after they'd tried to hurt him.The man must really be someone special.Joey was dying to meet this man. "Michael sounds like quite a guy, Josh.I'm looking forward to meeting him.He must be a strong, tall rugged masculine type to attract Justin.I felt his courage and determination when I talked to him on the phone." Josh laughed. "Oh he's something alright. But I think you'll be greatly surprised.Especially his eyes." "Whats wrong with his eyes." "Nothing's wrong with them,Joe.They're just unbelieveable." "Okay, Josh. How about we get some breakfast together and then wake Curly up." "Okay, Joe.After breakfast I'll give Michael a call and find out when's his plane gets in." They quietly walked out of the bedroom, trying to be silent. Justin tossing a bit on the bed. They didn't hear his low whimper. "Michael, I need you. Please help me."

Michael got out of the taxi, walking up the long drive through the open gates. The large house was dominating in its stature. It felt old and structured. The facade was clean and crisp. It reeked of upper class wealth. Michael wasn't comfortable around rich lifestyles. He'd always been easy going, casual with his money. He wasn't thrifty or miserly, far from it.He'd given a lot to friends and had always been giving. He'd just never felt comfortable around rich people. He knew Justin was wealthy, his spending habits voiced that. But it hadn't change the man.The man inside was giving, happy and a child at heart. Michael had picked up on that right off. He could easily pick the snobs from the giving hearts. His cell phone went off. He didn't answer it, he knew it would be Josh.He didn't want Josh to know he was here, he had to take care of this on his own. He walked up to the front door, sensing this was the final truth. He was risking everything on this, his love for Justin and Justin's love for him.

Lynn stared out at the driveway from her bedroom window. It had been a long and tiring night. She'd gotten less sleep than she'd ever had. What had happened yesterday had created a hole in her, as if her heart was empty. She'd thrown her own son out of his own home. She felt deeply confused. Everything that had happened yesterday stemmed from that letter. She remembered every word, every heart wrenching word. Thats what confused her most. The words were so beautiful, she felt so much love in all that was written there. She just couldn't get past the fact that it was written by a man and he was writing it to her son. They'd made love, he'd confessed that in the letter. Her son had laid with another man. The bible taught her that this was an abomination. But why couldn't she totally accept that. How could so much love be a sin. She'd hurt her son so much, because she couldn't get past that sin. She couldn't get past what she'd been taught by her family and her church. She looked up and saw a young man walking up the driveway. She didn't recognize him, not placing him for anyone she knew. Probably a salesman. Or a preacher. Wouldn't that be ironic. God coming to her door to save her. She heard the doorbell ring, walking quietly down the stairs and to the front door.Rachel was gone for the weekend, Lynn was alone with her pain. She hoped it was god, here to forgive her son.And maybe to forgive her. When she opened the door, she saw a vision that stopped her in her tracks. A young man stood in her doorway, a young, breathtakingly handsome man.The sunlight shone behind him, giving him a sense of wonder, like a halo wrapped around him. His stunning beauty lay in his flawless face, and more astonishing were his eyes. They shone like liquid gold, deep golden orbs. She felt her soul sinking into them. "Good morning, could I speak to Lynn please." She felt she'd heard the voice before. "I'm Lynn.Who are you?" "I'm Michael.Michael Tavarro." Lynn stood stunned in the doorway, unable to move. This beautiful man was Justin's lover. "What are you doing here? I don't want to talk to you.Did Justin send you here?" "Justin doesn't even know I'm in town.I came to see you alone." "Why, so you could beg me to forgive my son. What do you want from me? Can't you leave him alone? He was normal before he met you." Michael knew she was trying to bait him, to get him angry, so he'd show his true self to her.The true self she thought he was. But he had a surprise for her.She would see his true self. He was calm in his soul, his heart now set upon a clear path. "Your son is the same loving child you raised. He hasn't changed at all. There is the same love in his heart for you as there always was.Your hurting him, and yourself, for the wrong reasons. And you know it." Lynn looked at the young man.She saw a deep understanding in his eyes. She saw courage and determination. "Why are you here then?" "I'm here to stop this.To stop it here, now, before its too late." "What are you talking about. It's already too late. You've destroyed my son, and now you've destroyed our family." She saw his stature increase, he stood taller. His eyes seemed to burn a golden glow. "Don't ever say that, Lynn.I only ask for a few minutes of your time.I need to tell you a story. And after that, if you want me to go, I will.If you want me to walk out of your son's life forever, I will." She stood still measuring the man.She didn't see any weakness in him, he seemed calm and collected. "You would do that? You'd turn around and leave him. Why?" "Because I love him.I love him too much to see him destroy himself because of me.I would sacrifice that love to save his heart. To save his love for you." She held her breath. How could anyone be that selfless. Was this all an act.Was he manipulating her? "Alright, come in.I will hear you out. Then I will decide what will happen." Michael smiled at her, a clear, sweet smile. She saw no hurt or anger in it.It was a genuine, nice calming smile. Michael followed her down the hallway into the kitchen. Lynn sat at the table, pointing at Michael to sit down across from her. Michael sat down, not looking around, his eyes focused only on her. Those golden eyes seemed to be measuring her soul.He sat still, his hands folded in front of him.Lynn saw the silver ring on his finger, she's seen that ring before. But where? It dawned on her.Justin wore the same ring. What did that mean? "I want to tell you a story. The story of my tragic life." She tensed up, seeing something deep in his eyes. She realized what it was. It was a deep hurt, a singular hurt buried deep within him.It was a hurt of immense loss. Her heart felt like it might crack against that hurt. It was something she felt he'd shown few people.Maybe not even Justin. But she sensed that he wanted her to see that hurt, to feel that sorrow. She took a deep breath to steady herself. Michael saw what she was doing. The steel wall in full view. He'd have to fight against it, he'd have to fight for his life to destroy that wall.that wall of fear. "Alright, go ahead.Tell me the story of your life." Michael took a deep breath. "I began life with joy and happiness. My first few years were of immeasureable happiness. But when I was seven, my world changed. My father went away for a while, I don't know why. When he came back he began to abuse me.Physical abuse.Tragic, painful abuse. He burned me with cigarettes, he beat me with chains. He'd beaten me so badly that he put me into a coma for two weeks.I almost died." Lynn sat there in shock staring at this man.She felt all his pain, in every horrific detail that he told her.And he told her everything. She saw the small child come alive, beaten and abused, his tortured soul and broken heart. "My own father even sold me to his friend for five hundred dollars. To be the man's sex toy.I only survived that ordeal by attacking him.It again almost cost me my life." Michael told her all about that tragedy, Lynn putting her hand over her mouth to stop a gasp. "How could he do that? To his own son." Michael looked at her, she saw the pained acceptance in his eyes. "Because he thought I was trash, because he didn't love me, that he'd never loved me." She fought the tears that threatened to pour from her eyes. She hadn't expected this, she hadn't expected him to be so gentle, calm and courageous, and to still have so much faith in life. "My life was again spared by my father's own stupidity. He was sent to prison for a botched armed robbery." Michael then told her about his mother. He told her of his joy, his joy of there being only the two of them now.Of his love for her.And of the shortness of that happiness. She sensed there was deep pain there also. But he didn't tell her what had happened, he felt he needed to withold that until the end. He just told her that she'd died when he was nine. He then went on with his story. She became hypnotized by his eloquent voice, by his narrative skills. She felt herself immersed into his life. He told her every detail, all about Paul, his brutal rape. His desperate attempt at killing himself. How Justin and his friends had saved him. She sat there in wonder, and in tears, listening to him talk for what seemed like hours. He told her about his courage to go on, of his building a career for himself, his writing and of his loving grandmother, the one constant in his life. He held nothing back. Then he started to tell her about his Justin. About his strength and love for him.All that her son had done for him. All that he had made Michael face, and how his love had saved him. Finally he'd said it all. She now knew everything. All except the greatest hurt in his soul. She sat there in silence, tears running down her face, she thought she was suppose to hate this man, for what he'd done to her son.For what he'd done to her. But she couldn't hate him, not after all he'd told her.Not after what she'd found out about her own son's faith in Michael and his love. That Justin had given Michael hope. That moved her most of all.Justin had faith in this man's love, his pure true love.Justin's own heart was full and alive because of this man sitting here. Justin had been right. If she would meet him and see him for who he is, she would see why Justin loved him. She saw it now, in his eyes and in his words. He loved her son with all his heart and soul.Just as she now realized that Justin had the same love for him. But she still felt lost, she couldn't let go of her entrenched values, what she'd been taught as a child, that this was somehow wrong. Michael looked at her, sensing her moral struggle within herself. "Let the hatred go, Lynn.Don't let the hatred consume you.Don't hate your son for lost values and outdated thinking.Love your son for who he is.The gentlest, most caring man I've ever met.You raised him in love, and he's benefited by it greatly.Don't throw that all alway." She was in tears now, Michael words moving her deeply. And then she looked deep into his eyes, and saw his painful truth, the truth that he was being forced to tell her. Michael looked at her, tears now beginning in his eyes. "I failed my own mother, Lynn.I failed her in her faith. She had faith in me to love her, to stand by her and in that I failed. She wanted me to love my father, to stand by her love for him.I just couldn't do that. I couldn't love a man who wanted to kill me. On my ninth birthday she walked into my bedroom, sang me my favorite song and then she died in my arms while I slept." Lynn looked at him with deep shock. She saw the tragic moment in his eyes. The moment he'd lost his mother. "My mother killed herself. She took pills and fell asleep beside me, to died with me in her arms.Because she didn't have faith in me.Because she couldn't love me." Lynn was sobbing, wanting to comfort him, to ease his pain. But she felt that this was a pain he'd never be able to find release from. He'd always have to carry it in his heart. "For sixteen years I have walked around with part of my heart missing, the part that should of contained my mother's love.I never benefited from that love, like Justin has from your deep love.A mother's love. And now here I see you making the same mistake that she made. Turing your back on him, leaving him to walk alone without you. I can't allow that to happen, I can't allow you to rob him of your love. Please, Lynn.Don't do that to him, don't destroy your love for him.He needs you so much, he needs your love so much. Don't let him live a life of pain and loss, like I have had.I wouldn't wish that on anyone.Especially him." Michael was sobbing as well, the emotion of his deep feelings for Justin's well being destroying his determination. He stood up and looked at her again. "You can hate me for what you think I've done, but don't hate your son for it. Don't destroy his heart because of me.Don't send him on that painful path that I have walked. I'll leave now, I've said my peace. Its up to you to decide if your love your son enough to let him back into your life and love him for who he is. If it takes my leaving him, then I will abide by that decision." MIchael began to walk down the hallway, turning at the end and looking at her once more. "Tell Justin I love him enough to let him go for his family's sake." She sat crying at the table, crying for her own shame. Her shame at not loving her son enough. And the shame of hating this man for loving her son. she though all about everything Michael had said. And she realized that Michael had been right. She did love her son, that hadn't changed. And just because he chose to love Michael, that didn't change who he was. She saw how honest and gentle Michael really was, because he'd left the final choice to her and to Justin. If she could love her son again then maybe she could accept Michael's love for Justin. She got up quickly wanting to catch him before he'd left. She ran down the hallway, out into the yard. Michael was sitting at the front gate on a bench. She walked down the driveway until she was standing beside him. "I don't know where to go.Do you have the number for a cab company.I took a cab here." She saw he still had tears in his golden eyes. She smiled a kind, gentle smile. "Please come back to the house, Michael. You didn't wait to here my decision." Michael looked up at her.But he didn't move.It was as if he was afraid to leave. She sat down beside him. "You must think me a heartless woman, Michael.Because of my inability to accept all this." Michael looked at her with compassion, sensing she had come to terms with her heart. "I've been such a monster, haven't I.I've hurt my son so much, how can I ever ask him to forgive me." She was on the verge of tears again. Michael put his arm around her. "You can start by talking to him.Let him know what you've thought about and let him know how you feel." She looked at him when he handed her his cell phone. "Take that first step.Just talk to him." She took the phone from Michael. She shakingly dialed Josh's place. Josh was sitting at the table, they'd all just finished breakfast after getting Justin up. He was in a quiet mood, having tried to call Michael twice and getting no answer. Josh and Joey had tried to make him talk, but he'd remained quiet. Josh's phone rang.He picked it up quickly realizing who was on the line. "Justin, its your mom.She wants to talk to you." Justin's head snapped up, his eyes growing large. He took the phone from Josh slowly. "Hello, mom." "Can you come home, Justin. We need to talk, and this time with no hurtfulness. I have a lot to talk to you about." "Okay, momma.I'll be right over." Josh and Joey looked at him when he hung the phone up. "She wants to talk to me, but what's the point, its no good without Michael by my side." "You can do this, Jus.Michael has faith in you, he told me that." Justin looked up at Josh. "He said that?" "Yes, he said if you had to talk with her, remember that he would be with you in your soul." Justin smiled, the first time since yesterday. "Your right, Josh. Michael is with me." Justin closed his eyes, feeling in his heart and soul for him, and he found him.He felt his calmness, his determination, and his strength. He smiled. "I feel him, he's calm and strong. He has given me the strength to do this." Joey looked at Josh confused, Josh was smiling. "Lets go, Justin. We'll be with you for support too." Justin hugged them both. Within five minutes they'd arrived again at Justin's house.Justin sat in the car, hesitant about going inside.Josh put his hand on his shoulder. "Justin, I need to tell you something.I'll always regret what I almost did to you and Michael. You have a love with him thats beyond real love.Keep his love in your heart and you'll get through this.He is here for you, I feel him too." Justin smiled a wide smile at his friend. He hugged him and got out of the car. Justin walked with his head up into his home.He would talk to his mother calmly and with respect. When he entered the home, he felt Michael close to him.He was here with him, he could feel him.He smiled. They walked into the living room, Lynn standing again at the window. She turned to look at all three again. "I see you have your posse with you, son." She smiled a large warm smile at all three. Justin stood still, unsure why she was smiling. She walked over to the sofa, sitting down. "Come, sit beside me Justin." He walked over sitting down beside her.Josh and Joey sat down in opposite chairs. She took Justin's hands in her own.He saw she had tears in her eyes. "I've suddenly realized how much you've grown,Justin.Your not my little baby anymore." Justin smiled at her, seeing her love there again. "I'm sorry, Justin. I'm so sorry for everything I said yesterday.I didn't think before I ranted at you.I hurt you deeply, I know I have.I didn't think of your feelings and what my support really meant to you.You were happy because you found someone you love, and I couldn't see past his being a man. I was shocked Justin.I'll admit that.I never expected you to be gay.But I had a long talk with someone this morning, someone who made me realized how close I almost came to losing you.To losing my son, maybe for ever." Justin was starting to cry, he'd never expected her to talk to him like this, like a loving mother to her son. "I love you Justin. So much.I've always been so proud of you, this shouldn't change that. And it won't.I am your mother, I love you unconditionally. Can you ever forgive me for being so blind, so blind that I didn't see that your in love, and in love with someone special." She was crying now, Justin hugged her to him, all his happiness again alive in his heart. "Oh, momma, I love you, I always will.I love you and I love my Michael." She smiled at him. "And I know now that he loves you, so much that he would even sacrifice that love for your happiness, and for your family." Justin looked at her, he didn't understand what she was saying. "Come with me boys." She got up leaving the room, the three men following her. They walked with her into the kitchen, where she crossed the room, going to the patio doors. She looked out and smiled. "Look outside, Justin." Justin walked over beside her putting his arm around her and then looking out. He beheld a vision he hadn't expected to see. Michael was sitting on a bench in the back yard, Justin's two boxers laying at his feet, Michael petting them both. Justin's smile lit up the room. Josh and Joey walked over beside them, Josh in shock at seeing Michael. "I take it this is the famous Michael?" Joey smiled. "He came here early this morning, Justin." His mother looked at him.Justin turned and looked into her eyes.He saw the tears again. "He sat me down and talked to me for hours. He told me his whole life story, all his pain and hurt, all his courage and strength. And then he told me his greatest sorrow." She was crying now. Justin hugged her tight. "He told me about the loss of his mother. How he walked in sorrow for so many years without her love to guide him.Her love that he's never had, or can never have." Justin looked out at Michael. He felt his sorrow, that small part of him that would never heal. "He showed me that I was heading down her path. That I would be like her. That I would hurt you so much that you would walk the rest of your life without my love.He said he couldn't allow that to happen. That he would walk away from you rather than see you lose my love.He was willing to sacrifice his own happiness to see you happy." Justin was crying now, crying at the depth of Michael's love for him. "Oh god Justin.I never want you to lose my love for you.I never want to see you carry that devastating pain." Justin held his mother, letting her cry herself out. Joey and Josh stood quietly, tears falling. seeing the love these two people had for each other.Seeing what Michael had done here today. How he had brought them together again. Justin waited while his mother calmed down, his eyes never leaving Michael.Michael continued to look around, viewing the back yard and petting the two dogs. His dogs didn't usually get this comfortable with strangers, but he knew that was Michael's special gifts at work. Lynn finally pulled back from him, smiling at him. "Thats a remarkable man, Justin.I've never met someone with so much gentleness and compassion.Sometimes I felt that he could see into my soul. His eyes are unbelieveable. If you had to fall in love with someone I'm glad it was him." Justin smiled at her. Thanks for saying that, Mom.I love you." He hugged her tightly. "I think you should go out and talk to him.He was pretty worried about your feelings." Justin smiled and kissed her cheek. She smiled a warm smile at him. "Boys, let get some lunch together for everyone.Lets give them some time alone." Justin pushed open the sliding door stepping into the back yard. Michael looked up at him. They both stood still, looking into each other's eyes. Everything was as it should be, their love and souls were still entwined. Michael stood up, the two dogs remaining seated. Justin walked the short distance to him.He stopped in front of him, looking into the face of his love. Justin started to cry, Michael pulling him into his arms, Justin resting his head on his chest. "Oh, Michael.I can't believe you came here.I thought I had to face this all by myself. But I always felt you in my soul." "I will always be with you, my love.If I can't be by your side, I'll be in your soul." Justin cried more, just so happy to have Michael holding him again. He finally pulled away enough to look into his eyes again. "Mom told me what you did, Mikey.Your coming here and telling her the truth.Showing her the path she was on, making her return to loving me.And what you risked in doing it.That you offered to give me up so that I could be happy .How can I ever possibly thank you,my love.Do you know how much your selfless love makes me feel?" Michael looked deep into his blue pools of love. "I would sacrifice my life for you, Jus if it would save you from pain and hurt.I love you." Justin pulled him into his arms, kissing him deeply. Lynn stood in the doorway looking at the two lovers kissing. Josh came beside her, putting his hand on her shoulder. "We seldom see true love in front of us.Look upon it now." Lynn smiled, kissing his cheek.
