Chapter Five

By Chrissy and Peyton

On Monday after class, Maddy and Izzy were walking back from the gym from working out. The following week was fall break and they would have a four day weekend. Not too long ago, their plans were to go to their respective homes for the four day break. Now that they were dating they were discussing plans together. Izzy said to Maddie as they were walking, "Last weekend we spent at your Aunt Mary's house and she now knows of our relationship. I know her and mom talk every once in a while on the phone so I think I need to go home for fall break and tell my parents and grandparents before they hear it from Aunt Mary."

"I think you're right," Maddie said, "though I don't think Aunt Mary will say anything to her unless she knows you have already discussed it with your mom. She would respect your privacy knowing how that decision can alter the family dynamics because of both her and my past experience'" Maddie added.

"Agree," Izzy said, "but just the same the sooner I tell them the better than to somehow it slip out in conversation with Aunt Mary. Would you be willing to go with me for that weekend?" Izzy asked.

"Izzy I would go wherever you wanted me to go with you. However, I don't think I should be with you when you tell your mom. That is something between you and her and if I'm there it might be too awkward," Maddie responded.

"I get that and I intend to tell her when it's just her and me. I would still like for you to go with me for support plus we can go horseback riding and stay in the cabin. You'll love it out there where it's so peaceful and quiet," Izzy said almost pleading with Maddie.

Maddie grabbed Izzy's hand squeezing it and smiling at her. "Yes I will go with you," she said though in her mind she had a fear of horses and was unsure if she really should be there when Izzy told her parents. Maddie knew all too well if they didn't approve it would not be good and with her there it might be hard on Izzy. But she loved Izzy and was willing to do anything for her if it would make her happy.

Izzy pulled Maddie's hand up and kissed it smiling at Maddie. "Thank you, Maddie, I owe you one." They continued to walk back to their dorm with Izzy telling Maddie all about the farm and the horses and cabin. Years ago the 25 acres the cabin sat on belong to someone else who used it in hunting season. They got tired of it as too much agriculture was built up around them and they sold it to Izzy's grandparents. They kept the cabin furnished and occasionally rented it out to city folk who wanted an out in the country feel. Izzy's grandpa told Izzy it was really for her grandma to have a small business of her own to run and maintain. It kept her happy so even though it never made any real money Izzy's grandpa wouldn't take the pleasure away from Izzy's grandma.

Back at the dorm Izzy immediately called her mom to ask if she could bring Maddie with her for the 4 day weekend and to ask if she would clear it with her grandma about them using the cabin and horses. Izzy's mom said neither would be an issue and Maddie was more than welcome to come home with them but she would make sure the cabin was available before they arrived.

Evelyn detected something in Izzy's voice that made her curious. Izzy seemed really excited and also scared at the same time. She knew her daughter far too well and there was something Izzy wasn't telling her. As soon as they hung up Evelyn called Aunt Mary.

"Mary, this is Evelyn, how are you?" She asked. After Mary responded Evelyn went on to tell her she had just hung up with Izzy and both her and Maddie were coming over weekend after next for the fall break. "She's up to something, Mary. I could sense it in her voice. Do you know what's going on?' She asked Mary.

"Evelyn, Izzy and Maddie were just here this past weekend as I asked Maddie to come home and attend an art gala with me. What makes you think something is going on?" she asked Evelyn.

"Because it was the way she asked about Maddie coming with her and she has never asked to bring anyone over to her grandparents before to stay at the cabin and ride. Riding was something she always kept between her and her grandpa as it was their thing to do on the farm," Evelyn told Mary.

Aunt Mary, smiling to herself, didn't want Evelyn to be upset when she found out the real reason Izzy wanted Maddie to come with her so without flat out telling her she decided to pave the way for the girls. "Evelyn, I want you to keep a very open mind about Izzy and Maddie. I believe I know why they want to come together and why Izzy wants Maddie to do something with her that obvious has a special place in her heart. Promise me you will be open minded to what she says and don't do anything rash or without thought. Saying or doing the wrong thing may have you regretting it for the rest of your life."

"I don't know what to say Mary, I love Izzy and she and I have always been able to talk and even if we don't agree, we talk civilly," as Evelyn was finishing that sentence it hit her. "Oh, Oh... Mary, are they more than just friends?" she asked.

"Evelyn, keep an open mind, please. Wait until you see them before you make any decision. Don't make this hard on yourself or them," Mary told her, "you can call me anytime to talk about it but wait until you see them and Izzy talks to you before you say anything. And you and I never discussed this okay?"

"The next week and a half are going to be torturous having to wait until they get here." Evelyn said adding, "thank you Mary. I'll keep an open mind and call you after they are here. Take care Mary." Then she hung up.

The week and a half flew by for the Izzy and Maddie as Izzy was both anxious and scared to tell her parents though she felt they would be very supportive of her decision. She helped Maddie pack on Wednesday night as they were not leaving until early Thursday morning. She made sure she had plenty of jeans, sweaters something warm to sleep in as the cabin could get chilly at night. The weather report showed no rain and mild temperatures for this time of year so other than cool mornings they should have a great time. They loaded up the car the next morning and this time Izzy drove as she knew where she was going. It was going to take them close to 6 six hours to get to Izzy's parents so Maddie plugged in her phone to play from her playlist. Izzy took note of the wide range of music that Maddie liked as her list contained everything from hard rock from the 60's through 80's to modern hip hop and even some rap. Thrown in there were some Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and other 50's top singers. When Maddie's playlist played some of her favorite country songs she asked Maddie, "when did you add those to your playlist? Those are my songs,' she asked.

"After we got back from Aunt Mary's," Maddie said. "I figured if you liked them I should listen to them more so I can know more of your taste and likes," she said.

"You are so sweet Maddie, no one has ever thought enough to do that for me," she said smiling over at Maddie blowing her a kiss.

The six hours went by fast with Izzy and Maddie singing songs and talking about this weekend. Izzy got off the interstate at her exit and she noticed Maddie immediately flinching and turning her head to gaze out the side window. "Are you scared?" she asked of Maddie.

"A little," Maddie replied.

"Don't be, I assure you mom and dad will be okay with us, I promise. And if not we'll leave and go to Aunt Mary's for the weekend, okay?" she said to Maddie.

"I'm okay with that. That's not the reason I'm worried," Maddie said to Izzy.

"Then what are you worried about?' Izzy asked looking puzzled.

"I didn't want to tell you before but I'm afraid of horses," Maddie told Izzy.

Izzy giggled then said, "Sorry I didn't mean to laugh at you. It's just we are about to tell my parents and grandparents I'm romantically involved with another girl and based on your experience telling your parents you are more worried about riding horses than me getting kicked out of the house?" she was now laughing a little more.

Maddie looked at her and couldn't help but laugh too. "Yeah sort of ironic isn't it, I chose the lesser of two evils to be more worried about. I'm sorry but I've never been around horses and they are so big," she told Izzy.

"Don't worry, Maddie I'll tell you what to do and I'll be there with you the whole time plus my grandpa will probably ride some with us as I usually ride with him when I'm out there," Izzy said and again giggled at Maddie. By the time the two of them were done giggling over Maddie's fear of horses Izzy was pulling into the driveway of her parent's house. They no sooner stopped the car and Izzy's mom was out the greet them. Izzy ran up to her mom giving her a big hug and kissing her on the cheek. Maddie was opening the trunk and pulling out their suitcases when Evelyn walked up to her and said, "Don't I get a hug from you too Maddie?" holding out her arms.

"Of course you do Mrs. Walker," Maddie said and hugged Evelyn.

"How was the trip?" Evelyn asked.

"It was non eventful which is how it was supposed to be," Izzy said.

"Well let's get all your bags and bring them into the house and you can catch me up on school and everything else."

After Maddie and Izzy had put their things in Izzy's bedroom they came out and Izzy asked her mom if she had anything they could eat for lunch since they didn't stop on the way. Evelyn took them into the kitchen and made sandwiches bringing out some chips and soft drinks for them. Izzy asked when her dad would be home as they talked about school because she wanted to talk to her mom first. Maddie took that as a hint to find a reason to leave the room excusing herself to go to the bathroom and then call her Aunt to tell her they made it safely to Izzy's.

As soon as Maddie left the kitchen Izzy grabbed her mom's hand and squeezing it said, "I've got something really important to talk to you about."

"I'm right here dear, I'm all yours?" Evelyn told her.

"Mom, I really don't know any other way to say this but Maddie and I are girlfriends and lovers," she just blurted out not bothering to work up to it.

"And you want what from me?" her mom asked of her without any tone in her voice or any expression on her face.

"Ideally I would like your love, support and understanding but I also want to know how you feel about Maddie and me?" she asked her mom.

"Honey, I will always love you no matter what. As far as you and Maddie, I've suspected for some time now because of the way you talk about her when we talk on the phone. It never really sunk in though until you called this last time asking if Maddie could come home and you were going to take her riding with you. That is something you have never done with anyone else before so I knew there had to be more than just friendship for you to include her in something so dear to you and Grandpa. It's not the lifestyle I expected but then life is never what we expect and you have to learn to adapt to life, so I will too. To be honest with you, Maddie is everything I could hope for you. She is remarkable and I'm sure you couldn't ask for a better partner than her. I'm happy for you both Izzy and yes you have my support," Evelyn concluded.

"Oh mom," Izzy said with her eyes welling up from the tears. She hugged her mom and thanked her for being the perfect mom ever. "How do we tell Dad and Grandma and Grandpa?" Izzy asked her mom.

"I'll take care of them for you Izzy," her mom said.

Izzy proceeded to tell her about Maddie and her parents and how thankful she was that her parents were supportive and didn't throw her out like Maddie's had done to her. Evelyn said she knew something was amiss from her conversations with Mary but felt it was not her place to ask. She told Izzy even if she didn't approve she would never treat her like that and she was really sorry for the way Maddie had been treated. About that time Maddie slowly walked in hesitating to see if she needed to turn around and go back out. Evelyn saw her coming around the corner and stood up telling her to come to here.

Maddie didn't know if this was good or bad but just said, "Yes ma'am," and walked over to Evelyn.

"Give me a hug," Evelyn said and pulled Maddie into her. "You treat my baby right you hear me? I know your Aunt and I won't hesitate to call her," Evelyn added smiling down at Maddie.

Maddie seeing her smile knew she was just giving her a hard time so she smiled back feeling relieved saying, "I'll be good to her Mrs. Walker, I promise. I plan to dedicate my life to making her happy."

Izzy let a tear run down her face at what Maddie and her mom were saying and she knew that everything was going to be great between her and her family.

The next morning Izzy and Maddie packed a duffle bag of things to take over to her grandparents to spend the night in the cabin before coming back to Izzy's parent's house for the final night. They drove the forty minutes it took to get to the farm and turned on the dirt road that led to the farm. Once they reached the edge of the property Izzy told Maddie the white fence on the left is the outer edge of the farm and the white fence on the left as far as you could see was part of the farm. Maddie was amazed how far down they drove before entering the drive leading up to the farm house. Before they got there on the right was a big barn with farm equipment inside and out. A pickup truck outside belonged to Izzy's grandpa and as they drove by Izzy honked the horn three times. She told Maddie that was her signal to her grandpa that she was here. She said when they get to the house he will be down in a few minutes if only to say hi before he goes back to the barn. Driving up the path to the house Maddie could see the white two story house with a wrap-around porch. In her mind it was the quintessential country home. As they approached the house they were greeted by two huge German shepherd mix dogs who barked as they followed the car to the house.

"Let me out first so they see who it is," Izzy said. "They won't bite but they are very protective. Once they see me they will be all lovey and in your face," she said. Izzy got out and as soon as the dogs recognized her they were crying in happiness jumping at her and wagging their tails. Maddie got out coming around the front of the car and as soon as they saw her they were up to her smelling her and wagging their tails. "The bigger one is Rusty and the more blackish one is Duke," Izzy told Maddie. Maddie held out her hand to the dogs and she got her share of dog licks. She got down on one knee and they just about pushed her over trying to get close to her.

Maddie was laughing and petting the dogs when Izzys grandma came out on the porch. "Rusty, Duke, here," she called out and the dogs immediately ran to the porch and sat down next to Izzy's grandma.

"Well trained," Maddie said to Izzy.

"Their protection and herding dogs so they have been trained to go on command. They are sweethearts but when they are working it's all business," she told Maddie.

"Hi Grandma," Izzy called out and ran up to the porch to give her grandma a hug. Maddie was about to follow her when a pickup pulled up right next to her. Izzy's grandpa got out. Maddie had to look up at this man when he got out of the truck. He stood about 6'2" and was built like the pickup he just got out of. He took the few steps towards Maddie introducing himself and sticking out his hand to Maddie.

"Hi, you must be the one and only greatest girl ever Maddie we've been hearing so much about?" he said with a chuckle. "I'm Izzy's grandpa and husband to the boss lady up there. I'm Russell Walker but you can just call me Grandpa or Gramps," he told her.

Maddie smiled embarrassed with the introduction holding out her hand to the one that was twice her size and shook it. "Yes sir, I'm Maddie Rogers though I don't know about one and only greatest that you've heard about. It's very nice to meet you Mr. Walker or I mean Grandpa. Thank you so much for letting me come out here to your beautiful place."

Grandpa put his arm around Maddie's shoulder and led her up to the porch. "Your very welcome child. Any friend of our precious Izzy's is welcome here anytime. Look Ma," Grandpa called out, "I found this beautiful creature hangin down by the car. She doesn't look anything like the one-eyed three armed girl Izzy described to us."

"Come here Maddie," Izzy's grandma told her. "Ignore that old coot. He's always trying to start something just so he can sit back and watch the cat fight," she said.

Izzy laughed as she knew her grandpa was very much a kidder and an instigator. "Maddie, this is my Grandma, Irene Walker. Grandma, this is Maddie the three eyed whatever that Grandpa called her," Izzy laughing more now.

"Russell put their bags in your truck and take them to the cabin where these girls will be staying tonight. Saddle up your horse and Shade for Izzy and pick a good one for Maddie too, "Grandma said to her husband.

"Daisy would be best for Maddie, Grandpa," Izzy called out.

"Oh we have a city gal I see, okay I got it," Grandpa said and turned to leave.

The three girls turned to go inside and the dogs stayed on the porch. Once inside Izzy and her grandma caught up on what had been happening since the summer before Izzy left for college. Maddie talked about her time at school too as Grandma didn't want her to feel left out of the conversation. After about an hour or two they heard the dogs barking indicating someone was coming. "That should be your Grandpa coming back," Grandma said and got up to look out front. "Yep it's him. Girls you had better get your boots and hats. I'll fix some sandwiches you can take with you that will hold you off until you get to the cabin. It's fully stocked so you won't need anything else once you are there," she said and went into the kitchen to fix their food.

Grandpa came walking in this time with a cowboy hat on and Maddie immediately noticed he was wearing a gun on his hip. 'Let me get something to drink and eat and I'll be ready precious," Grandpa said.

Maddie followed Izzy into a bedroom that looked like a girl's room. "This is my room when I stay over here. I keep clothes here that usually are only worn on the farm," Izzy said. She opened the closet and pulled out some boots for both her and Maddie along with a change of shirts that looked more like work shirts. We might go through some low hanging trees or large bushes and its better not to wear the shirt you have on in case it gets torn or more likely we'll get pretty dirty riding," Izzy added.

Once they were dressed Izzy opened up what looked like a safe and pulled out a handgun in a holster. She put it on through her belt so it was on her right hip. Maddie got really concerned, "both you and your Grandpa are wearing guns. Do I need to be concerned? Is it going to be dangerous riding out there?" she said her voice trembling a little.

"No, I'm sorry. I should have told you before but it's just second nature for me out here I didn't think to tell you. When my Grandpa and I ride we always go by the cabin where there is a bank of dirt about ten feet high. We've set up a target practice area and we take our guns out and shoot targets. I've got a permit to wear it and out here it's not illegal to fire guns. So don't worry. We're not going to run into any bad guys or anything although we did have rustlers once but they were discovered by a neighbor who called Grandpa. The sheriff caught them before they could get to far down the road," Izzy said. "Does it bother you that I'm wearing a gun?" she asked Maddie.

"No, I was just concerned you both were wearing it for protection because it's dangerous out there. Besides I actually think it's sort of sexy you packing heat like that," she said sashaying over to Izzy. "Just make sure I'm not the target you two are going to shoot at today," she added and kissed Izzy on the cheek, then giggled and walked out of the room.

Izzy hugged her Grandma and thank her for getting everything ready for them and she and Maddie followed Grandpa out to the horses that were out by the front porch. Grandpa turned to Maddie as she came out of the house and asked, "have you ever ridden before?"

"Never," Maddie replied and then added, "I've always been too afraid of horses to get close to them."

"Then Daisy is the perfect horse for you my dear," Grandpa said. "Come here and I'll show you how to get on a horse." Maddie walk over to him. "Now don't be afraid because she's more afraid of you than you are of her. This is a stirrup and these are the reins. Take the reins in your left hand and with the same hand grab a hold of the saddle horn here." Grandpa showed Maddie. "Put you left foot up into the stirrup and push down with your foot at the same time pull with your left hand swinging your right leg up and over the saddle pulling yourself up on to the horse. Watch Izzy get on her horse first and see how it is all one motion. She watch Izzy grab the reins and saddle horn then lift her leg into the stirrup and then she bounced and threw her leg up and over her horse and was on the saddle.

Maddie tried the same thing after watching Izzy and the first time she didn't bounce enough or pull enough and she didn't make it up. The horse just stood there looking back as if to say nice try. On the next try when Maddie bounced she felt Grandpa's hand on her butt pushing her up and she almost went over the other side of the horse but was on top of the saddle. Grandpa then told her to sit there a moment while he made sure he had the stirrups the right length for her since she was the same height as Izzy. Then Izzy moved her horse over to Maddie only she was facing the other way as Grandpa got on his horse which stood around one to two feet taller than the one that Izzy and Maddie were on. Izzy then explained how to sit in the saddle and use the stirrups and reins to maneuver the horse but also how to use her feet in the stirrups so she didn't bang her butt in the saddle as they rode. Izzy told her they would just walk and not trot or gallop since she was new at this. All she had to do was sit on the saddle and use her feet to nudge the horse or the reins to turn it or stop it. After they were set Izzy proceeded to walk her horse down the path towards the road. Grandpa turned Maddie around and told her to nudge the horse's sides and click click with her mouth to let it know to move and it would follow Izzy. Grandpa was in the rear. As he turned to ride he called to the dogs. "Duke stay. Rusty come." Rusty ran off the porch and past both Grandpa and Maddie until it caught up with Izzy. He then just seemed content to walk and look around as he walked beside of Izzy and Shade.

Before they got to the road Izzy turned Shade to the left and stopped at a gate. She got off her horse, opening the gate and walked Shade through the gate. Maddie didn't have to encourage Daisy at all because as soon as Shade walked through the gate Daisy walked through too followed by Grandpa. Grandpa pulled up next to Maddie, "How you doing there missy?" Feeling more relaxed on Daisy yet?" he asked.

"I think I am, thank you," Maddie replied. "I really don't have to do much. Daisy seems to know what to do," she added.

"Yeah ole Daisy is not a lead horse but a follower so she will pretty much just follow Shade and do whatever he does," Grandpa said. "We just entered our pasture area which is why the gate. Over to the left you'll see some cattle grazing over there. Most of the rest are just beyond them. You can't see them as land dips down over there. We can ride side by side now most of the way. There will be some places we still will have to go one at a time but precious will lead the way."

Maddie thought it was so sweet to hear Izzy's Grandpa call Izzy precious all the time. Izzy had closed the gate and was back on Shade and pulled up next to Grandpa and Maddie. "Everything okay?" she asked looking at Maddie.

"Grandpa was just telling me where we were and showing me where the cattle were," Maddie said.

"Then let's go, we're burning daylight," Izzy said and encouraged Shade to start walking. Maddie laughed at Izzy's country jargon now that she was on the farm. Grandpa stayed with her and they chatted about the day, Grandpa filling Izzy in on how the cattle were doing and that the hay and corn were to be harvested beginning next week. As they rode Maddie paid attention to how Izzy looked on a horse and how much she seemed to love being out here. It was if the world didn't matter to her as she rode.

They came to a group of trees and had to get in line to walk the path through them occasionally lowering their heads as they would pass under a low hanging limb. Maddie could hear water running and about that time Izzy asked Grandpa, "the creek must be higher, it seems louder than normal."

"Yeah, we've had a lot of rain here and north of here lately so more water is flowing. Give it a couple of days and it'll be back to normal. About the time they reached the creek, Maddie could see it was about ten feet wide and looked to be about one to two feet deep and was flowing pretty fast.

They turned right as they got to the stream following it for a bit until they came to an old footbridge that went across. Izzy stopped and said, "I figured this was a good place to stop for lunch Grandpa."

Grandpa agreed and got off his horse tying it to a nearby tree. He came up to Maddie and asked her, "Do you remember how you got on her?" Maddie nodded. "Well getting off is the same thing just in reverse." Keep the reins in your hands giving her some slack and swing your right leg over and off of Daisy and down. Then take your other foot out of the stirrup and you're off." Maddie did it and was pleased she was able to get off though Grandpa did have his hands on her waist as she did so she wouldn't fall.

They had their sandwiches and drinks putting the trash in a baggy and back in the saddle bag. They then proceeded on their way but had to cross the creek just on the other side of the bridge. Izzy told Maddie that when Daisy crossed let her stop in the middle so she could get a drink of water. Maddie watched Izzy lead Shade out into the water and stop letting him drink. Once he drank, he moved on out of the water. Maddie followed then Grandpa. After they crossed the creek they came out of the trees into a pasture of corn. The stalks were tall and Maddie could just see across the top of the rows of corn. They walked together and just past the corn Maddie could see a cabin off in the distant. As they got closer Izzy told Maddie that's where we will spend the night. They reached the cabin and pulled up at an open shelter off to the side where the horses would be kept for the night. They got off the horses and Grandpa took the saddles off of both Daisy and Shade leaving his still saddled. Rusty ran around the house as if to be searching for something and returning sitting in front of Grandpa barking. "She's reporting back that she went around the house and didn't smell anything wrong so it was safe," Izzy told her.

"Smart dog," Maddie said.

"It's part of their job to protect all of us and the horses so they are always looking and smelling for something that isn't right and then they'll let Grandpa know if it's not," Izzy said.

"What would he do if he found something on the other side of the house?" Maddie was curious.

"He would be over there barking and growling until Grandpa checked it out and told him everything was good," Izzy said.

After they checked the inside of the cabin they went back out and down behind it to an open area where there were two bullseye markers set up. This is where they planned on target practicing. Izzy handed Maddie a pair of earplugs and told her to put them in. She put hers in and Grandpa had his in too. Then Grandpa told Izzy, "okay precious let's see what you got."

Izzy stood next to a small table that was about 25 yards from the target pulling her gun out of its holster and putting a box of shells on the table. She checked her gun to be sure it was loaded and put on the safety glasses she had. She took her stance and aimed and fired three shots all three hitting in a close pattern to the middle of the target.

"Not bad for not practicing for a while," Grandpa said. "Okay Maddie now it's your turn," as he walked up to her handing her safety glasses.

"I don't know what to do. I've never held a gun before. At least not a real one," she said.

Grandpa pulled out his gun which was the same that Izzy wore and showed her. "This is the handle, this is the trigger and this is the barrel. Always make sure this is pointed at the target and not at any of us," he said with a giggle. "only put your finger on the trigger when you are prepared to shoot and not before. That is when misfires happen and people get hurt. Safety is first." He added.

Maddie stood at the same spot Izzy had stood and Grandpa showed her the proper stance then put the gun in her hand and showed her how to hold it properly. He told her how hard to grip the gun and to be prepared for when she pulled the trigger the reaction of the gun would be to kick back or lift up thus she had to hold it down otherwise her shots would go flying up instead of at the target. He held his hands on hers as she aimed then he told her to pull the trigger. She did and if it weren't for Grandpa holding her hands she could feel the gun kick back. She tried it again and this time was ready for the kick the gun gave her. The third shot Grandpa stood back and let her fire on her own and though she didn't hit the target she was just an inch of to the right of it.

They spent the next hour or so taking turns shooting with Maddie hitting the target now more than she was missing it. She knew it would be a long time before she could shoot as well as Izzy if ever. Grandpa then said it was time for him to head back to the house so he made sure the girls had everything they needed and hugged them both saying he would see them tomorrow. He told Rusty to stay as he turned and rode away this time at a faster trot than when they rode up. Maddie was petting Rusty and Izzy said he would spend the night there with them. He knew his job now was to watch over them and the horses through the night. Izzy and Maddie went inside the cabin. Izzy asked Maddie if she was having fun and did she enjoy shooting as she took her gun off and hung it on a hook by the door.

Maddie thought for a minute then responded, "I was scared to death of riding a horse and afraid after both you and Grandpa were carrying guns. It wasn't until we stopped for lunch I was finally able to relax. Riding wasn't so bad and I actually did enjoy it. I think what helped was seeing you so happy and content riding and it was like you were in your own world out here. I knew if I wanted you to be happy I needed to relax and enjoy it like you were doing because if we stay together I have the feeling we will be out here many more times."

"You know you don't have to like something because I do?" Izzy said.

"I'm sure there will be some things you like that I don't but none that are more important to you than this. I can see why it means so much to you. Your grandparents are the sweetest and most gracious ever "Precious," Maddie emphasized, "and being out here really is a special place to forget your problems and learn what is most important in life."

Izzy blushed at what Maddie said then asked," did you like shooting?"

"Actually I did and had a lot of fun doing that," Maddie said.

"Well now it's time to get cleaned up. You may not know it but you will have gun powder residue on your hands and arms from firing the gun and it doesn't wash off easily either because it becomes imbedded in your skin. Let's take a shower before we start thinking about dinner and making a fire to have heat for tonight," Izzy said. She turned and walked towards the small bathroom looking behind her as she walked. 'You coming?" she asked Maddie.

"You can go first," Maddie said.

"I was hoping we could take one together," Izzy softly said as she looked over her shoulder at Maddie making it obvious she was unbuttoning her shirt.

"Ohhhh, does riding and shooting always have this effect on you?' Maddie smiled and started walking towards Izzy.

"I don't know because you are the first person other than Grandpa to ride out here with me," Izzy said now pulling her shirt off leaving her in her bra, boots and pants.

"You are so sexy looking right now," Maddie told her and took off her shirt too. Once the water was warm enough and they were undressed, they got in the shower. Izzy got under water first and got herself wet before letting Maddie get under the water. Izzy then took the washcloth and soaped it up rubbing it over Maddie's back and butt. She then moved down getting both legs from the back then up and through Maddie's butt crack. Maddie let out a coo and told Izzy, "I didn't know I was going to get my own bath attendant who would wash me too."

Izzy smiled and told Maddie to turn around. She then washed Maddie's chest paying close attention to her breasts before moving down to her legs and washing the front of them. She then let the washcloth come up between Maddie's legs and she washed slowly over Maddie's pussy. Maddie slightly spread her legs placing her one hand on the shower wall and giving out a small gasp as Izzy's hand went between her slit. Izzy then handed the washcloth to her telling her to wash her arms and hands making sure she washed as much of the gun powder residue off as she could. As Maddie started washing her arms Izzy's hand went down between Maddie's leg and her fingers ran up through Maddie's pussy lips. Maddie looked at Izzy and said, "I thought you already washed that?"

Izzy smiled at Maddie and told her, "You can never be too clean so I just thought I'd check to be sure I didn't miss anything."

"You keep going and I'll need to wash all over again, Maddie moaned as Izzy's fingers were now separating her pussy lips and inside of her.

"Let me get a closer look," Izzy said as she got on her knees and Maddie could feel Izzy's tongue now teasing her by licking her pussy lips on the outside. Maddie moaned and spread her legs as far as she could in the shower. Izzy placed her tongue on the entrance to Maddie's pussy and licked her up to her clit. Maddie could feel Izzy's tongue and it was driving her crazy as she loved this girl so much. Izzy stuck her tongue inside of Maddie and began using it to lick all around inside Maddie's pussy. Izzy's hands were pushing on Maddie's butt to keep Maddie against her face.

Maddie was moaning and flexing her hips as if to be fucking Izzy's mouth calling out to Izzy, "oh yes, Iz, oh god yes, you're going to make me cum." Izzy used her tongue faster and then moved up and sucked Maddie's clit into her mouth making Maddie explode in an orgasm. Maddie grabbed Izzy's head holding it firm into her pussy as her orgasm consumed her. She cried out, "fuck I'm cumming," and Izzy could feel Maddie's cum as it hit her chin. Izzy continued to hold Maddie's clit in her mouth until Maddie regained her composure. She then stood up and kissed Maddie on her mouth telling her, "See all clean." Izzy picked up the washcloth and re-soaped it handing it to Maddie, "Would you wash my back now please?'

Maddie washed Izzy's back the same way Izzy's had washed hers and then told her to turn around so she could wash the front. Izzy complied smiling at Maddie knowing she was about to get the same treatment as she had given Maddie. Maddie washed Izzy's front side and in the same way handed her the washcloth as she smiled and got down on her knees in front of Izzy. Izzy hurriedly washed her arms knowing once Maddie began her assault on her pussy she wouldn't be able to concentrate on washing. Maddie licked Izzy's slit licking off the water that was running down over it and then using her fingers parted Izzy's pussy. Her tongue wasted no time as she began to lick the inside of Izzy's pussy. She pulled Izzy into her moving her hands around an on Izzy's butt. As Maddie continued to lick inside of Izzy as her hands spread Izzy's ass cheeks. Izzy was breathing hard and fast and knew her orgasm was close behind as Maddie had a way of bringing it out of her fast and hard. She looked down at Maddie with her wet hair hanging across her head and back when she felt one of Maddie's fingers run across her butt hole. Maddie kept circling it and to Izzy this was sending new waves of pleasure she had not experienced before. She moaned telling Maddie how she felt, "oh Maddie, that feels so good, oh Maddie, Oh!" then Maddie did something Izzy didn't expect as she sucked her clit into her mouth she pushed a finger inside of her ass. The feeling was more than Izzy could take and her orgasm exploded and she grabbed onto Maddie's head as her knees buckled and she slipped down on top of Maddie who had leaned back catching her fall.

They lay there for a minute while Izzy came back to life. Izzy pushed up an off of Maddie but stayed on her knees looking at Maddie and smiling. "Damn girl, that was amazing. I just keep cumming harder and harder with you every time. I don't know what it is but you just have a way of finding all the right buttons to hit every time we make love."

They could feel the water cooling off so they quickly finished and dried off. They picked up their clothes and went into the bedroom putting on clean panties, sweat pants and a t-shirt not bothering with a bra since there was no one around they would have to worry about. In the refrigerator, they found a casserole dish that Grandma had made with a note on it. "I didn't think you would want to fix your own meal so I made this for you. Put it in the stove for 35 minutes on medium heat and it will be ready. The dish below is for your breakfast."

Maddie and Izzy placed the casserole in the cooking stove and then retrieved some wood from the porch putting it in the wood burning stove in the living area which would provide heat during the night. Izzy told Maddie where they kept Rusty's food and bowl and Maddie fixed a bowl and took it out to the porch for Rusty who licked Maddie's cheek as a thank you when she bent down to put the bowl on the porch. The horses had food in the corral they were in so there was no need to do anything for them.

Once back inside the cabin Maddie noticed there was no TV. "What are we going to do tonight without TV?" Maddie asked Izzy.

"We'll come up with something," Izzy said with a devilish grin on her face.
