It's Money Honey

Chapter 11

Nicki

Waking up that morning it seemed like things couldn't get any better, it was a normal day with a normal start. Looking out my window I saw Fay a little ways down the road so I hit the button to open the gate for her, at the same time hitting the button for the shower that was my next destination. The warm water cascading down my body was a joy in itself. After my shower I dried off quickly, brushed my teeth, and got dressed. As I walked out of my room I pulled my shirt on over my under shirt.

“Hey Fay.” I said walking into the kitchen.

“Hey Jay. So what's got you all bubbly?”

“Me, bubbly? I'm not.” I said as I grabbed the bottle of Fiji water out of the fridge and began walking towards the garage. Fay followed behind me with a cup of coffee.

“You seem it.” She said as she swiped her purse off the table in the foyer.

“Well I don't feel it. Moving on, what car today?”

“Something sporty, unique, classy.”

“Rolls, Bentley, Ferrari, or Bugatti?”

“Bugatti, of course.”

“Grand Sport it is.” I said walking into the hallway at the head of the garage and to the elevator.

“Sounds hot.” She said as she placed her clutch under her arm and latched her arm though mine.

Fay was dressed in a tight short black dress with a single right-sided shoulder strap, a silver belt around her waist and bright red heels. Her hair was done up in large curls that just seemed to bounce as she walked. The wind tasseled her hair as we sped down the causeway.

Pulling into the parking lot Andy was parking as well with only a space between me and her. Fay gracefully got out of the car, smiling a broad smile at Andy as she did. I couldn't help but smirk as I noticed Andy's face. Fay hooked her arm though mine again as we walked down the sidewalk, towards the school.

“Yeah, its mine, and its purchased, not leased.” I said as we passed Andy. Fay began to laugh as we kept walking into the school.

Laying on my bed in only a pair of fresh boxers I had just gotten out of the shower. My phone was laying on my pillow next to me and every so often it would chime, telling me there was a new text from someone. I had been ignoring it for about an hour now as I didn't feel like doing anything right then. My brother had gone out with his girlfriend for the night leaving The house empty, quiet, like normal. Our Dad, I knew was at the office still. He worked all night sometimes on some of the cases he got, it was worth it because he worked hard at what he did and got paid well enough to do it. Our Mom was out with friends. She worked, a little bit. I think she is a receptionist somewhere, but I'm not sure. I don't even think my Dad is sure.

Finally looking at my phone it was a text from Andre.

<Hey.>

<Hey.>

<What's up?>

<Just at home by myself for now. You?>

<Same. Parents had to go out of town for something, not sure.>

<Ah.>

<Yeah. Hey, wanna come over?>

<Yeah, sure. Give me like an hour and I'll be over.>

<Okay. Can't wait to see you. ;]>

I got off the bed and walked to my closet. I pulled on a pair of black Dickies shorts and a dark blue shirt with some black graphic design on it. I slipped on my black DC's and grabbed my phone, knowing I needed a ride I called Jay.

“Hey, Jay.” I said when I heard him answer the phone.

“Yeah Nicki?”

“Can you give me ride over to a friends house?” I asked somewhat pleading.

“Where do they live?”

“He lives on Venetian Island.”

“Okay. Not that bad.”

“Yeah, so can you do it?”

“Yeah, sure.”

“Okay, so how long?”

“15 minutes max. be ready.”

“Already am.”

“Perfect.”

“Thanks Jay.”

“Your welcome buddy.” I clicked the end button and walked down the den to wait.

It wasn't long before I heard a horn in the driveway and I knew it was Jay. Parked in the driveway was a large black Navigator. I turned around to lock the door before walking around the front of it and opening the passenger door.

“Hey.” I said as I climbed in.

“Hey.”

“What's with the Navigator?” I asked as he backed out of the driveway and headed back down the road towards the islands.

“Felt like taking it out tonight.”

“Ah. And the bag in the back seat?” I turned back to look at what all was back there.

“Going to see Brad, well staying the night at his place.”

“How long has it been?”

“6 weeks.”

“Okay, okay. So, its that time?”

“What? No! No! You only ever have one thing on your mind. Geez.” He scoffed as he turned onto the Venetian Causeway.

“Hey, just asking.”

“Yeah, well you can keep your nose out of it.” He warned as we zipped over the water.

“Fine, be that way.”

For the rest for the drive we were both silent. As we came up to De Lido Island he turned to me as we were stopped at a light.

“Okay, where do I go?” He asked still waiting for the light to change.

“Take the first right and its the first house on your side as you make the curve.” I answered as the light changed and he kept going.

“Okay.”

“Thanks Jay.” I said as I got out of the car.

“Any time buddy.” He called out as I shut the door and crossed the street behind him.

Walking up to the door I was nervous. As I knocked on the door my heart began to race. There was a cool breeze blowing off the ocean. The soft lights illuminated the exotic plants throughout the perfectly manicured yard. I could hear someone walking towards the door. Slowly the large metal and glass door opened.

“Hey.” Andre said as he stood in a pair of silver and green basketball shorts and a tight plain black shirt.

“Hey.” I said as he stepped aside and I walked in.

Standing in the entry way to the house I looked up to see the large staircase slightly spiraling upward to the second and then the third floor. There was a lot of art hanging on the walls. The house wasn't cold or hot, it was perfect.

“So, what do you want to do?” He asked as I turned back towards him.

“Oh, I don't know, I was thinking, maybe, get a little closer to you.” I said stepping closer to him with devilish grin across my face.

“And how so?” He asked, taking a step towards me, making us now chest to chest.

“Simple, like this.” Placing my hands on his waist I hoisted him up, his legs wrapping around my waist as my hands sunk to cup that perfectly round ass. I took another step, pressing his back against the door. My lips grazing across his lightly, his arms around my neck, our bodies pressed together. His flat, firm stomach against mine. My broad chiseled chest against his smaller, but equally defined chest. My hands keeping a firm hold onto his tight glut's. I pressed my lips against his, shoving my tongue past his soft, moist lips to roam his warm mouth.

Pulling into the parking lot of the large apartment complex I tried to figure out where Brad's apartment was so I could hopefully park close to it. I didn't even see his truck anywhere so I gave up and found a place, away from most of the other cars but still insight of the main entrance. I grabbed my back pack with a single change of clothes and my MacBook Pro. In one smooth motion, I slung my back pack over my shoulder as I climbed out of the driver's seat I while shutting the door at the same time. I clicked the button on the key fob, hearing the SUV chirp as it locked. The parking lot was dimly lit by the street lamps placed precariously about the plot of land filled with a sea of cars.

I walked into the side entrance of the building and up the flight of stairs to the second floor. I began walking down the hall, all the way to the end. In the middle of the hallway there were 4 elevators, 2 on either side. On either side of the elevators were tall floor to ceiling windows looking out to the city. I stopped for a minute to take a look at the city. The sun had set, there wasn't a moon tonight, the only thing lighting up the night's sky were the lights of the city.

At the end of the hallway I went right since it split either way. As I got closer to his apartment my heart began to race. Only a few more steps from his door and it swung open. He wasn't the one to come out though, two very beautiful girls came out together, one a brunette, one a platinum blond with black bangs that blended into the side.

“JAY!” The blond damn near screamed.

“Um, do I know you?” I asked, very curious.

“Well, no, not unless Brad told you about me. Clearly he didn't. I'm Diane and this is my girlfriend April.” She said pulling April over to us.

“Okay, wait. Now I know you.” I said as she leaned in for a hug, it took me a minute but I finally hugged her back.

“Go right in. Well, we're off. Don't have too much fun.” She said, pulling April along as they walked down the hall and turned towards the main hallway.

I walked over to his door, carefully turning the handle and pushing it open. The apartment was furnished with all new things, mainly black leather, metal, and dark wood.

“Brad?” I called out, not seeing him in the large living room. The large flat screen TV was hung on the wall over the fireplace, across from the large black leather couch.

“Yeah.” I heard him call out and then the sound of footsteps from the hallway off to my right.

“Hey Baby.” He said as he walked over to me, embracing me in his strong arms.

“I missed you.” I said as he leaned back to look at me.

“Missed you too.” He said, leaning in and giving me a quick kiss on the lips.

“What smells so good?” I asked, finally noticing the faint scent of something cooking.

“Dinner, well dessert for us.” He said, walking across the living room to the kitchen. I dropped my backpack by the door, following him into the kitchen.

“Huh?” I asked as I walked into the kitchen.

“You ate right?” He asked, smiling.

“Yeah.” I said.

“Okay. What about dessert?” He asked, opening the oven and pulling out something in a glass bowl with foil across the top.

“What is that?” I asked, leaning over the bowl to take a deep whiff of the confection.

“Bread pudding.” He said, smiling.

“How did you know?” I asked rolling the foil back.

“Know what?”

“That its my favorite!”

“What? Seriously?”

“Yeah. Growing up my Mom would make some every weekend because every Saturday we would have this huge family dinner. Me and her would spend all afternoon making dinner. Since only her Mom and my Dad's Dad were still alive they would come over so it was really nice.”

“That's sweet honey.” He said, leaning across the counter, giving me another quick kiss.

“Thanks Babes. Now get me a bowl and a spoon.” I grinned as he opened a cabinet digging out a large bowl then opening a drawer and pulling out 2 spoons.

“Here we go.” He said placing the bowl on the counter and scooping the bread pudding out into it.

“Well aren't you going to have some?” I asked as I took the bowl and he handed me a spoon. I dug my spoon into the still warm confection.

“Good?” He asked as he noticed I had closed my eyes and tipped my head back a bit.

“Amazing.” I said looking at him.

“Thanks.”
