Incomplete ch 5

First class was Calc and it was not going to be easy, not that the class was easy on normal days. There was no assigned seating in the class (thank god) so I thought I'd sit somewhere in the corner that would be far away as possible from Aaron. It would be an extremely uncomfortable hour if I did sit near him...

I got in the class, which was like a two-mile walk (not really) from the entrance and, gladly, I still got there pretty early because only a few seats were filled. I picked the seat way in the back of the room, and hid myself, if you could call holding up a notebook in front of my face hiding.

Students began filing in the room for the second day of senior year. If anybody tells you that Senior year is a blowoff year, that guy's probably on crack, no offense. I turned away from the door and decided to start writing down the days notes before Mr. Cash started rambling no about something about mathematical conduction... or was it induction?

The bell rang and kids practically started running into the room. I turned my head, faced the board, and ignored the people rushing in. I must, at all costs, try and avoid him. The seat in front of me was empty, so I had a good view of the board from the very back. I began copying notes, when Mr. Cash stood in front of the board blocking my sight.

"Good morning class, I'll take roll in the middle of class during my lecture to allow time for the tardy students... I didn't get to have my coffee this morning so I might start talking about my dog or something. Just tell me if I get off track... Okay, let's begin, shall we? So the first step for mathematical INDUCTION is to find if it is true for n=1..." Mr Cash said with no spark of life at all.

He does need his caffeine. So far so good. I haven't looked anywhere. If I was lucky, Aaron was on the other side of the room, since he was one of the last ones in, just like yesterday...

"So after the third step-"

The door opened and the whole class turned to look, except me.

"Don't look, don't look," I whispered to myself,"I might see Aaron."

"Sorry I'm late Mr. Cash. My car's battery died," a familiar voice said.

Aaron? No, he's already in the room... but I really don't know that since I never actually saw him... Crap.

"That's alright... Mr. Lackey? Good. Go take a seat over there in that empty desk in front of Willoughby. I need to tell the office that I need more desks. Okay as I was saying..." Mr. Cash said without much concern.

The dirty blonde hair on student's head freaked me out. It was Aaron. Nobody else in the school had the same hair as his. I looked down immediately at my desk, my dark hair ruffled from the sudden jerk. I felt a pair of eyes on me, but I couldn't look up. I was to ashamed of what I did last night to face him. The new car joy from this morning completely slipped away... sniff

"Mr. Willoughby. Mr. Willoughby! Are you paying attention?" Mr. Cash asked sternly.

Without looking up I said, "Yes, sir. I am..."

"Then tell me what you learned so far."

"The first step to mathematical induction is to find if n=1... and..." I hacked my brain for more info, but it failed.

"Is that all?"

I nodded.

"That was 20 minutes ago, Kellen. What have you been doing all this time?! Nevermind. I'm disappointed."

And with that class went on. I felt even more eyes on me.

The whole class period, I stared down at my desk. If I looked up at the back of his head, I might do something insane or crazy like sniff it or something. I may be overreacting, but my heart did beat at about 120 bpm the whole class period (I got my cardio done at least).

The bell ended, interrupting Mr. Cash in the near the end of his lecture.

"I guess we'll continue tomorrow then. Good-bye," he said.

I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the class as fast as possible. My face was still red hot from sitting behind Aaron that long and from the class humiliation I got.

I quickly entered my next class, satisfied that I didn't have to encounter Aaron, making things much easier. Eco and English went pretty well. The teachers kept us busy so I had little time to think about Aaron.

Chemistry came next and I knew that Aaron would be there, so, I quickly chose a lab partner at random to sit by. I sat down beside this popular girl, Susie, and she seemed to be pretty happy I chose her as my lab partner.

I saw Aaron enter and looked as if he was looking for somebody. I looked away quickly. Susie looked at me weirdly. I smiled widely at her, and she seemed to just shrug it off and continue to talk abou the Fist Day of School party she had with her friends. I just listened and smiled not really paying attention to the stuff she said. A few minutes later, during the lab, Susie told me something that kinda shocked me.

"You know, Kellen... A lot of the girls here at school like you," Susie said innocently.

I almost dropped the beaker full of HCL. I looked at her shocked.

"You're kidding, right?" I said with a questioning look on my face.

"No, really. You should know you're really, really cute. Plus, you're pretty smart, too," she told me.

"Ahaha..."

"Okay, whatever. I'm just saying..."

And we got on with our lab without any more uncomfortable conversations. The class finally ended and not surprisingly, I was the first one out. I speed-walked down the hall.

"Kellen. Wait up," somebody behind me said.

I knew it to be Aaron, and I wanted to stop but at the same time didn't. I took a right at a corner and went down the hall into an empty staiwell that led up to my next class.

"Kellen! Stop!" he yelled.

I felt a firm grip on my shoulder that stopped me from walking any further. I just stood there stiffly, staring straight ahead at the stairs, my escape.

"Kellen..." Aaron whipered into my ear, "Look, I'm sorry... I shouldn't have reacted the way I did..."

I could feel his breath on my neck and I got goosebumps all over. His hand was still on my right shoulder, but now I could feel his other hand slowly make it's way around my waist. I felt him gently lay his hand onn the center of my chest. The hand that was on my shoulder went under my arm and around my waist to lightly end up on my stomach.

He pressed his body tightly against my back and the heat from his body burned me. His head came to rest on my shoulder and his warm breath caressed the skin of my neck. He had me in the most sensual embrace that I had ever felt up to that time. My eyes were closed, and I wanted to lose myself in his embrace.

Then the memory of last night and the consequences that it had flashed across the surface of my mind. My eyes flew open and I struggled out of his arms.

"No!" I yelled frantically, "This isn't right!"

With that I managed to rip myself away from his arms and I ran up the stairs. I felt something wet on run across my cheeks as I did.

"No..." whispered Aaron, "I..."

But I didn't hear him. I couldn't hear him. I didn't want to hear him.

Yawn Okay. I promise I'll make the next one better and less depressing, dramatic, suspenseful, crazy, etc. if that's what you all want. I'm just experimenting so you all could say that you all are my guinea pigs. haha. thnx for reading. 'nite.
