In the Neighborhood

I would have gotten this story out sooner, but I had started to actually write two separate chapters and they both suddenly just ended. One was supposed to be from Brandon's POV and the other from Jesse's POV. It didn't' work out that way though and they both suddenly ended in an unhappy way for me. As I sat here staring at both side to side wondering what to do with them my muse finally woke from her nap about a weeks worth I would estimate, and slapped me upside the head and said to combine them. That's what I have here, and like I said in the first chapter in this series, it's not entirely about sex to begin with, so don't read if you need a quick handshake with the man. If you enjoy a build up and a story then please hang on.

Monday Morning:

The trip to grandma's house was fairly quiet, Lex was listening to his headphones, and Brit was reading a book. Brandon was a different story and that look in his eyes told the entire tale, normally he was talkative, but he had someone on his mind.

"He's on your mind isn't he?" mom asked.

Brandon snapped out of his daze, "Yeah, he is."

"How long has it been?"

"Almost two years." Brandon responded.

"Not since Tobi right?"

"Yup, how'd you know I was thinking about him?"

"I figured something was up when you came down the stairs to help me with the groceries. Jesse looked a bit flushed; I figured I interrupted^Åsomething in your room."

Brandon rolled his eyes, "You didn't interrupt us doing that! You did manage to interrupt what was going to be just an innocent little kiss."

"If it's one thing I have learned in all my years," began his mom, "there's no such thing as an innocent kiss."

There was no comment from Brandon about that, he supposed she was right. He would never admit that to her though, why was he thinking about him? It had been a long time since he had any interest in any boys at all, after Tobi he thought he would never be interested in any other boy again.

"Jesse seems very sweet and intelligent; I think you would do good to see more of him."

"Maybe I will, I like him." Brandon commented.

Thursday:

Brandon had gotten back late and was worn out, if he ever saw another car or went on a long trip again it would be too soon. Brit hated cars all together, he hated to travel, which was why he was trying to convince mom to buy him a motorcycle.

"There are more car wrecks than motorcycle wrecks mom, they're safer." Brit said as he followed mom into the kitchen.

That was all Brandon heard as he went up the stairs, he had decided to go to bed early and go over and see Jesse around lunchtime.

Shower tonight or in the morning?, thought Brandon. He figured he might sleep better if he took one tonight

"Brandon?" asked Lex from behind.

"What's up?"

"How did you know you^Åliked boys?"

Brandon turned around and gave his little brother a strange look, "Why do you ask?"

"I don't know, just curious. I just^Åwanna^Åunderstand it is all."

A slight, uncomfortable silence poured into the bedroom, Brandon stared at his little bro for a minute. He began to wonder if there was more to that question than in the innocent way that it was said. That could've been a simple question, after all he was young enough, and maybe it was just curiosity. On the other hand that question wouldn't have been asked hadn't something been on the kid's mind, something that would have given him enough guts to ask it.

"I've always known," Brandon began, "there was never a time where I doubted it, even when I was your age I stared at boys just a bit longer than girls. When I was eleven I managed to talk a neighbor boy and girl to get together so I could compare who was the better kisser, a boy or a girl. In reality I just wanted to kiss the boy, didn't like kissing girls even then."

"Who had the boy been?" asked Lex.

Brandon just smiled, "That had been Tobi, and he was the first boy I kissed. Once we began we couldn't stop, eventually the girl left. I don't remember her leaving either, at that age we didn't really know how to kiss, but it was fun practicing on each other."

For a minute Brandon's mind wandered to Tobi and the^Å

"Sorry." Lex suddenly interrupted, "didn't mean to remind you."

"It's alright, it's getting late I think I will get a shower and go to bed. Is there something you wanna talk about?" Brandon asked.

Lex said, "No."

With that they said their goodnights and each were left to his devices and Brandon went hit the sack before watching Letterman's monologue. He was too tired to stay up that late.

Friday - June 7th /Journal Entry:

It's Friday! I thought when I woke up that morning. I jumped right out of bed got a shower and made a pot of moms alarm clock and had some for myself, I couldn't wait until he got back.

"What's going on with you?" Mom asked me, "You have seemed to be a little distracted this week."

"Nothing." I said to mom as I stuffed what was left of the spaghetti from last night in my mouth.

"I talked to Carrie last night; she and the boys are coming back today."

"Really?" I responded. I couldn't help but smile when she said that, could I have been any more obvious?

"Ah, I knew it. You must be thrilled to have someone in the neighborhood close to your age to hang out with."

"Mom," I began, "There's Chriz, and we hang out too."

"Yeah, but he won't be back until the last half of summer."

"You might be happy to know that we will all be having a cookout tomorrow night. Kinda like a welcome to the neighborhood thing."

All I could do was nod. Mom was a community kind of a person, she loved doing stuff in the community and it drove me crazy. She was known around the neighborhood, which made me known. I didn't like to be known, by nature I was a quiet person and kept to myself.

"All I ask is you keep the house clean if they come over ok?"

"Yes mom, now go to work."

I was in the middle of playing KOTOR II on my xbox when there was a knock to the door. When I opened the door Brandon was standing there, smiling at me.

To say I was scared was an understatement; I had waited most of the day for Brandon to return. I had the seduction all planned out, but it went to hell and I felt helpless in front of him.

The truth of the matter is, well, I am a virgin, in every since of the word, I hadn't even kissed a boy or a girl. I didn't know anything or how to make the first move.

"How long until your mom gets home?" asked Brandon.

"She'll be home in a couple of hours."

For a minute we just stood in the doorway staring at each other, "What happens now?" I asked.

Brandon just gave a disappointed sigh and kissed me. It was like electricity all through my body. He wrapped his arms around me and guided me to the couch, at that moment I would do whatever he wanted me to do. To feel him on top of me, the warmth of his body I was hard as a rock, my zipper was straining to bust open.

"Two hours is plenty of time." he whispered in between kisses. I grabbed onto his shoulders and caressed his broad, strong back. I was too nervous at the moment to go any further down.

"Relax." he said, "I've got you now."

Please tell me what you think, I enjoy reading peoples emails and ideas and I will respond. I promise.
