Part five

"Kyle!" my mother shouted down the stairs. I jumped up, thankful that the light had been left off- only the TV screen let out any light.

"Yeah?" I replied in a voice halfway between my girl and guy voice, not sure who to worry about more, Drew or my mother. In fact, I kind of hissed it.

"Just checking if you were down there. I have someone with me, so don't pop in my bedroom unexpectedly, ok?"

"Ok," I hissed again.

"Are you alright?" she asked.

"Yeah, just asleep on the couch. Thanks," I answered, worried about Drew.

She closed the door, and I walked back over to Drew, who was still on the floor, leaning against the couch and watching the TV screen.

"Everything alright?" he asked.

"Yes, I think she has a boyfriend or something with her. She wanted to make sure that I didn't interupt them, or walk in on something," I said, truthfully.

"It sounded like she called you Kyle," he said, and I froze.

"She said Kyla- my real name is Kyla. It's that California accent you were hearing, I guess. We don't twang like you southerners. Plus, I think she's been drinking," and I sat on the couch behind him, and put my hand on his shoulder hoping that he didn't pursue this line of questioning any further.

"Oh- ok," he said. "I gotta go- I have been going since early this morning. Show me the best way out, so I don't cross paths with your mama and her dude."

I walked him to the back door, but she had already went upstairs to her bedroom with her friend- I wandered if it was the same one from the night before.

"See you later," Drew said, and kissed my forehead. He acted shy- almost embarrassed, now.

I didn't hear from Drew at all on Sunday. Joel called once, which surprised me. I had forgotten that he had my telephone number. He seemed awkward on the phone, and the conversation didn't last long. He was a nice guy, though, and I really liked him.

As I was getting ready for bed, my phone buzzed with a text message from Drew.

Drew: I tried to call while ago

Me: Oh...I only had one call...it must have been then

Drew: Who?

Me: Joel

Drew: that 10th grade guy?

Me: yes

Drew: I know who he is

Me: nice guy

Drew: I guess

Drew: Do you like him?

Me: He's a friend

Drew: I hear he's a queer

Me: WHAT? I don't think so

Drew: I dunno. Just somebody said so

Me: Who?

Drew: Some guy I know

Me: How would he know?

Drew: hehe...good question!

Drew: maybe firsthand experience?!

Me: What are you doing?

Drew: In bed...jacking off

Me: Is that all you ever do?

Drew: Why not?

Me: You better get back to it

Drew: I'm almost done

Me: You can't text and play with your thing at the same time

Drew: I'm talented

Me: Hang up and finish...finish you know what

Drew: Ok....but I am thinking about you

Me: Thanks....see you tomorrow

I flipped off the light, then pulled my own cock out to jack off, thinking about Drew. Sometime in my fantasy, though, I thought about Joel for the first time. I really did like Joel, even if he was something of a geek.

The next morning, I followed my charade again- breakfast as Kyle, then while my mother showered, I changed into Kylie and slipped out the door to catch a bus.

When I got to school, I didn't see Drew anywhere. He was usually tardy to the first class, from what he told me. Especially on Mondays. Joel was there, watching for me.

"How'd the weekend go?" he asked in a soft drawl.

"Good. Really good," I said, "How about you?"

"Pretty boring. Relatives in town to visit," he laughed.

We saw Rachel and Brenna next to their locker. Brenna looked up and winked. "I heard that you had a little fun this weekend! You have to tell us what happened." Obviously the word had gotten around from somewhere. Joel looked at me curiously.

"Who was it?" he asked.

"Drew Hewitt," Rachel interupted.

"Not bad," Brenna answered, a little enviously. "Just make sure he doesn't 'use you and lose you'," she said, as though she had first hand experience on the subject.

"We just had fun, that's all," I said. "And I got a free meal out of the deal.

"What did he get, that's the question," Rachel teased.

"Just use your imagination, ladies," I laughed, and Joel turned crimson.

"I think Joel is embarrassed!" Brenna laughed, pinching him on the cheek, as the bell rang.

As we headed down the hall, Rachel leaned over and whispered, "You can tell me- did you guys do it? Just nod."

I nodded, and she squealed. "I want to know all the details."

I thought- no, you really, really don't.

I didn't see Drew all morning, but during lunch I checked my cell phone messages and their was a text from him that said, "MEET ME BEHIND THE NORTH BLEACHERS AT 1PM"

I had class at 1pm, but I thought that I could make up an excuse to go to the library or locker and get out, so I wasn't too worried. I just wandered what he had up his sleeve.
