Chapter 1 Logan His name is Dylan and he is going to be my legacy.

I am seventh in popularity in my high school. Seventh of 1000 in the grade, I am wanted by all because of my looks and I am loved because I am nice and I am hated because I don't care. My name is Logan Kessler; I am a senior at Great Valley High. I have long shaggy brown hair, and at times light brown eyes. What I mean by at times is that they change colors. Sometimes they are a dark red, sometimes green, and lastly they are sometimes yellow-brown. I have a natural slim body build but am packed with muscle from hockey. I would like to think I'm middle in height at 5'8".

Hockey is the only sport I play for the school. I started off as a freshman on varsity where I sat the bench mostly but sophomore year I got my chance when one of my teammates went out with an injury I got moved up to the first line and I haven't let it since. Now I'm the captain and one of the top players in the league.

Dylan is a sophomore on the JV team which he made as a freshman. He plays the third line, but I believe he could be better. He never seems to have confidence when he plays. He has short blonde hair with striking blue eyes. His body type is similar to mine and he is a little shorter than me.

The popular crowd in my high school is not just from sports. It consists of the captains of the basketball, soccer, football, hockey, and Baseball teams. So that leaves 10 random students. Number one is usually the quarterback, who nine times out of ten is an asshole. His girlfriend is usually second and is usually a bitch.

We got lucky with the number two this year. She is nice and is one of my best friends and the only person to know that I am gay. Her boyfriend is an ass and hates me. He's mad because I was supposed to be the number one but turned it down, because that is too much attention for me to deal with.

You see I was picked sophomore year by the number one at that time. I was supposed to be the next number one but

declined as I said; Instead falling to number seven.

That's as far as I would let myself fall.

Dylan always arrived to lunch before his friends did so he sat and waited for them before he started eating. I usually arrived before him with my few friends. We would go to our lunch table I'd sit on the table at the end and eventually the others in the top would join us.

Today was different. Today was the day the top picked their legacies. So I sat at the table Dylan usually sat at, I was in the seat across from where he usually sat. Which was luckily at the end so I got to sit with my back against the wall and using the back of the seat as an arm rest for one of my arms; I hated sitting the `right' way in seats? It was uncomfortable.

Anyway, Dylan comes walking up and sees me sitting at the table and he freezes when I looked at him. I motioned for him to sit across from me.

He was shaking, it was really cute. He slowly walked over and sat across from me. He didn't look me in the eye, focusing on what must be a very intriguing dot on the table.

So I just stared at him until he looked up, which he eventually did. "About time you looked up," I said with a smirk. "It's rude to not look at someone when they want to talk to you."

"Sorry" he said quietly, obviously still scared.

"Dylan Johnson right?" I said. He nodded his head. "You seemed scared of me."

He looked down again a light blush across his face. "No, it's not that. You're in the 15."

"Yea and?" I said. "It's not like I'm not a human."

"It's just I never thought you would want to talk to someone like me." He said. "What's someone like you like?" I said. I was already seeing a problem. He has no confidence in himself.

"Well..." He said, he was looking down at the table again. "I'm a nobody, the only thing you and I have in common is that we both play hockey. You are a first line forward, while I'm barely a third liner. You have this persona about you that makes people notice you. While me, I am invisible. People walk all over me..."

"That's because you let them," I said. "I have a proposition for you Dylan. It almost time for our class to choose your classes' 15. I've been watching you and I believe you have what it takes. I want to take you under my wing."

Dylan had no trouble looking me in the eyes this time. "You want to what," He said. He was watching my face looking for any signs of joking, to see if I was trying to make a fool of him. He blue eyes were striking.

"I want to make you popular Dylan; for you to become the next me. You have a trait that I haven't seen in a while. It was a trait I was looking for. I'll give you a week to think about it. Come talk to me on Friday with your answer," I said. I got up from his table and started to head back to my table.

"Logan wait!" I head him call.

I turned around to look at him. A smirk on my face, I knew I had him.

"I'll do it," He said. He looked down at the table again.

"I'm sorry I couldn't hear you. You seem to be staring at a table," I said back. He looked up at me, "I'll do it."

"You know where I park my car?" I said.

"The Senior lot..." He said. I just raised my eyebrow. "First row, far right" He said after a few seconds.

"Meet me there; we are going to be playing hockey today." I said.

"Ok..." he said. Dylan sat down in his seat and looked at the table thinking.

I sat in my seat, back against the wall and talked to the people I called my friends.

"Logan, why him?" JJay asked me. He was one of the few people on the top I considered my real friend. "He doesn't seem like he would fit up here, too weak."

Jjay was on my line on the hockey team. He was the best sniper in the league and he was going to Boston College on full scholarship. He was going to NHL caliber someday, especially if he has a great playmaker on his line.

That's my job on the team. I'm the first line playmaker. I dance around people with the puck and feed it to him and if he isn't open I rip it into the net with a wrist shot. I don't have a lot of power in my wrist shot but I do have accuracy I always know where he will be, and he always knows where I will pass it. It's going to be sad when we aren't on a team together anymore. You see I'm going to Bemidji State.

"He has the same look that I did when Jason came up to me," I said. "Scared and under confident; not as much as him I'd admit. I didn't let it affect my play like him."

"I've been watching him the past few weeks, going to the JV games just to watch him. He moves very smoothly and has great speed, but you can tell the confidence lacks. If I instill that in him, like Jason did to me, the rest should follow."

"I hope you know what you're doing, Logan. He seems like a lot of work," Jjay said.

"You know I like challenges, I did pick you as my winger, probably was the hardest thing I've ever done. Making you look good that is," I joked. "Who did you pick?"

Jjay was number 3 in the listing. "Making me look good? Psssssh. I make you look good," Jjay said. "I picked Cody Read, JV first line winger."

"Decided to have an easy time with it? Has confidence and is very physical, "I said. "He's also a cocky sonofa. I'm going have to fix that," He said. Lunch continued without any type of problems. Jake, the number one super jock guy, appeared and I ignored his existence. It's easier that way.

I sat on the hood of my car waiting for Dylan. I noticed him as he was walking up the path, he looked really scared. Hands in his pockets, shoulders hung low, kind of dragging his feet, eyes cast down.

He stopped in front of my car meeting my eyes for a few seconds before looking down again. "Hey," He said.

"Hey," I said. "Hop in; we'll swing by your house to grab your gear." I hopped off the hood of my car and into the driver's seat while Dylan slid into the passenger seat.

"So where do you live?" I said as I started up my car.

"173 Bolan Lane," He said.

~The lower middle class side of town,~ I thought. ~So I'm going to probably need to buy him clothes for his look.~

We started off; I usually drive with the windows down when it was nice out, like it was today. Metallica blasting as we made off towards his house.

As I was driving I watched Dylan out of the corner of my eye, he kept fidgeting. It was kind of cute seeing him as nervous as he was.

"You don't have to be nervous Dylan. All we are doing is going to shoot the puck around at the stadium," I said. "It's just hockey. You've played the game before." He looked over at me, looking like he wanted to say something, but held it back.

Probably in fear that I will change my mind or something. This kid is going to be a project.

We finally made it to his house. His parents weren't home, so I started to look around the house while he went and got his equipment.

He had a little brother, maybe about 12 years old, at least that's what it seemed in the pictures. They also had a lot of religious items around the house. A very religious family. Guess I will have to down play the whole me being gay thing. Not like I planned on telling anyone anytime soon. Amanda is enough for me.

I found a picture of Dylan and his younger brother at a beach. They were playing in the sand and Dylan looked totally at peace and calm. It was a side that I never saw as I was watching him. He always seemed on edge. Looking like he was hiding something.

I hear him moving down a hall with his stuff so I walked back to the stairs to meet him.

"Need any help carrying anything?" I asked. He shook his head and with that we were off.

Dylan

~Oh God, oh god, oh god,~ Dylan thought. ~Am I seriously in Logan Kessler's car right now? And I am going to play hockey with him! What if I fall down a lot, what if I can't hit the puck in to an open net? Why did I agree to this?~

~Calm down Dylan. It's just hockey. You've played all your life you know how to play,~ Dylan took a deep breath

After a few minutes in the car, with Logan talking and with me give short replies we finally made it to the arena.

We walked into the arena and into the locker rooms. We would only have about two hour to practice before we would need to leave the ice. The middle schoolers were coming to complete their two a days. As we moved into the locker room and set up in front of our stalls it just hit me. I might have to shower in front of Logan Kessler.

A new set of nerves shot though me. I know I'm not underdeveloped in that region. See my teammates in the showers after practices and game let me know that. It's just Logan is perfect everywhere else so he HAS to be perfect down there. What if I get hard?

~Oh god he might hate me. He might though me out and call me a fag. He would tell the entire school about it so they would all know and I would be made fun of picked on. The kids on my team might force me off also! I'm only a third liner, a depth player. There are twelve other people like me on the freshman team that could replace me!~

"Dylan"

I instantly woke up from my freak out and looked up to Logan worried look.

"Are you ok? You kind of spaced out there." He said.

It was then I realized he was standing in front of me in just his underarmor boxer-briefs. His bulge was huge there. It perfectly fit with what I thought about him. ~oh shit he ask if I was ok.~ I nodded my head to his question, signaling I was alright and went to changing.

I took off my shirt, hockey has made me strong, I have a nicely defined set of abs nothing like Logan's abs. His were a work of perfection. After I took off my shirt my pants came next. This left me in only my American eagle boxers. Which I realized I should have changed out of when I was home. You don't wear just boxers under your hockey equipment. The middle school preached that all three years.

"Boxers dude?" I heard Logan say. "Don't have anything to change into?"

"I have a pair of my underarmour in my bag." I said. Thankfully I always prepare for this moment by keeping an extra pair of underarmour sports trunks in my bag. This presented me with a problem though. To change I need to get naked in front of Logan Kessler.

~You just need to suck it up Dylan.~ I thought. I reached into my bag and pulled out the underwear. I slipped down my boxers. Thanking god I didn't even have a semi. I quickly pulled on the underwear and looked at Logan out of the corner of my eye. I could tell he was watching me from the corner of his eye.

After we got changed we headed out onto the ice. I watched him just skate around. He looked like he was in heaven. It was easy to tell he was born to play this game with how he skated around. He loved this game.

I love this game too, but I don't have enough skill to say I was born for this. I'm nothing like him

Logan dumped a bunch of pucks onto the ice he picked one up on his stick and started to throw it into the air and catch it.

After an hour and a half of skating around a coach from the middle school team came up to the glass and motioned for us to get off so he could set up for his team.

We walked into the locker room and saw a bunch of middle school hockey players in various states of undress, many of them just standing around in their boxers, a few in just jockstraps, and one or two standing in white briefs.

Dylan followed Logan over to their stalls and started to change, both were taking their time to allow the middle schoolers to finish changing so the two of them could shower.

Logan dropped his boxer-briefs as the last middle school was exiting the locker room. He stood naked in front of Dylan. The site could Dylan to stare for a few seconds before ripping his attention away.

~oh god I hope he didn't see me looking, but wow he cock fits him perfectly! Not too big, not too small. Just the perfect size for his perfect body.~ Dylan thought. He realized that Logan had already walked to the showers leaving him alone just standing in his own trunks. He took a breath and dropped them and grabbed his shower stuff and walked towards the showers. He walked in and started up one of the showers opposite Logan. They showered and washed up. When they finished they headed back to the stalls. They changed and got on their way.

"Logan..." Dylan said as they sat in the car.

"Yea?"

"Thank you"

"For what?"

"For taking a chance on me, I'm not the type of person people take chances on. I don't stand out, I don't make waves. Hell, they people in our school are surprised to find out I play sports; let alone hockey. I blend into the crowd and people forget about me" Dylan said, "But to have someone choose me over everyone else, and to actually seem to take an interest in me. It's... it's refreshing and it actually makes me feel like I matter."

Dylan felt the car pull over and stop. He looked over at Logan; who had a smile on his face.

"Dylan. You will never feel like that anymore. You are going to become someone. Someone who matters. No one will ever forget you or let you blend into the crowd you will gain the confidence you need to succeed I can promise you that" Logan said. The car started moving again.

"Thank you Logan."
