====================================== If I Ain't Got You Chapter -- 28 by JT Poole and Nicole Brown
// Orlando, FL -- Florida Hospital - JT's Office //
"Daddy what am I going to do all day everyday?" Kasai asks, sitting down in the chair in front of JT's desk.
"Well you could have stayed home instead of coming with me kid." JT replies, going over to the filing cabinet and pulling out some files.
"I didn't want to stay home daddy, I wanted to stay with you." Kasai says, playing with the paperweight that sat on JT's desk,
"You could have gone back home with your dad too. You know I am going to be busy all day and I won't be able to stay here with you." JT says to Kasai, walking over to another filing cabinet in the room.
"Can't I come along with you and help you with some of your therapy patients?" Kasai asks, standing up and walking over to JT, standing in front of him, staring JT in the face, pleading with his eyes.
"Can I, not can't I." JT says, correcting Kasai's grammar. "And no you can 't."
"Why not daddy?" Kasai asks, following JT around in the room. "Come on daddy please, please daddy..."
"Oh alright, you can help, but don't bother anyone else and don't stare at anyone." JT says, gathering up the things he need for the day and walking out of the office with Kasai following him.
// Jordan and Joey's House //
"Hey man what are you doing here?" Jordan asks as Mark walks into the house.
"Look Jord, I just need some place to chill out and just be me. Can I hang here for a bit?" Mark requests, standing in front of Jordan.
"What's wrong man? You look like someone shot you. Is everything okay with your husband?" Jordan asks, walking into the kitchen.
"No it isn't okay. Everything is fucked up man." Mark says, sitting down on the sofa in the living room as Jordan sat a beer in front of him.
"What's going on then, talk to me man." Jordan says. "Come on Mark, I know we have had our problems, but I thought we had gotten past that already?"
"Things are okay now, but things with JT are a little bit shaky. I don't know what to think anymore. Since our son got raped, he's a totally different person." Mark tells him.
"Different in what way? Does it have anything to do with what me and Joe did?" Jordan asks.
"No, it's...it's like he's hardened up, like he's cold as ice now." Mark answers him, taking a sip from his bear.
"Well have you tried talking to him?" Jordan asks.
"I try, but he closes me out, changes the subject or leaves the room." Mark replies, burping and turning the beer can upside down to show that it was empty, causing Jordan to get up and get him another one.
"Well have you tried like getting him somewhere where he can't leave?" Jordan asks, making his way back to his chair, placing a beer on the table in front of Mark. "If you corner him, he has to talk to you."
"No, that's just a reason for him to kick my ass." Mark responds, draining his beer in one gulp.
"Mark man, I think you need to slow down with the beer." Jordan suggests, throwing Mark's empty can in the trash.
"I'm fine, just get me another beer." Mark demands, scaring Jordan.
"Come on Mark, you have had three beers already in a twenty minute period." Jordan tells him.
"What's your fucking point?" Mark asks him.
"You are going to get yourself drunk." Jordan replies.
"Maybe I want to get drunk." Mark answers him, tears flowing from his eyes.
"Mark why are you doing this? Why don't you go talk to him. I am quite sure he will talk to you." Jordan says, trying to keep from giving him another beer.
"Either you give me another beer or I will go some place where I can get them with no damn excuses." Mark says, standing up.
"Mark I am not going to give you another beer right now, you are close to being drunk now." Jordan says.
"Well fine then. Thanks for the beer, I will go some place else." Mark says hugging Jordan, kissing him on the cheek and walking out of the house.
// Back at the Hospital -- The Gym //
"Good morning Mr. Carter, how are you doing this morning?" Valgina asks, walking over to where Justin and Nick were sitting on a mat.
"I am doing fine miss. Do I know you?" Nick asks.
"Yes you do, I'm Valgina Williams, we had a counseling session a few weeks back. Don't you remember me?" Valgina asks.
"Right now I am drawing a blank." Nick tells her, laughing, standing up, and then extending his hand to shake hers. "I am not good with names."
"Oh it's quite alright Mr. Carter. I see where someone like you would take things like names as fun and games." Valgina states, walking over to where JT was. "Fucking bitch." Justin says in a whisper. "No wonder JT, Angie and Steve don't like her."
"Baby behave." Nick says, joining Justin on the floor again, helping him with his stretches. "Don't let your anger get away with you like mine got away with me."
"Baby I'm not mad, she just...she just takes things to that level when she comes around. I am okay now, don't worry about me." Justin says, stretching to touch his toes.
"I know how you feel baby." Nick says as he turns around and looks towards the door and sees Brian standing in the doorway. "Ohhhhh!"
"Nick? Nick is something wrong?" Justin asks, reaching for Nick.
"Ohhhh! No...no...no don't!" Nick screams as Justin tries to reach him, but fails as Nick gets up and takes off running.
"Steve! JT! Somebody Help!" Justin screams out, seeing Brian walking in the direction that Nick had gone.
"What's going on? What happened here?" JT asks.
"Brian Littrell is here! He went after Nick!" Justin screams, almost hyperventilating. "They went that way!"
"Steve you go check to see what's going on, I will call security." JT says, walking in direction of the office.
// Down the Hall -- A Storage Closet //
"Come on Nicky, why you running from me? Don't you love me?" Brian asks him, closing and locking the door behind him.
"No Brian please, don't...don't touch me!" Nick screams, putting his hands up, covering his face.
"Why not baby, I love you. I love touching you." Brian says, caressing Nick's face.
"No Brian NO!" Nick screams, as Brian covers his mouth and starts pulling at his clothes. "Please Brian don't do this!"
"Do what baby? I am only showing my love for you." Brian says, forcefully kissing Nick.
"Please Brian, stop!" Nick screams out again as the door knob starts to turn and someone pounds fiercely on the door.
// Outside the Room //
"Nick! Nick!" Steve screams, still pounding on the door. "Nick say something!"
"Help me! Help me please!" Nick screams, as Steve kicks at the door as other patients and staff gather around.
"Hold on Nick, we are coming!" Steve shouts, still kicking at the door as JT and security approach him.
"Are they in there?" JT asks, almost out of breath.
"Yeah they are in there and something's going down. Nick screamed a few minutes ago, but I haven't heard the guy say anything." Steve explains as one of the security officers help him with the door.
"Okay, if we try at the same time, maybe we can get the door open." The officer states as he and Steve both ram the door, causing the door to fly open.
"Nick, Nick are you okay?" JT says, rushing into the room, pushing Brian out of the way and reaching for Nick.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!" Nick screams, pushing JT away from him.
"Ni...Nick...Nick are you okay?" Justin asks, entering the room, being stopped by the sight of Nick lying on the floor, crying. "What's going on JT? Did Brian do it again?"
"I don't know Justin, I don't know." JT answers him, stepping back as the security officer escorted Brian out of the room.
"Nick...Nick talk to me baby." Justin says, moving closer to Nick's body. "Come on baby, I know he...he hurt you again, but don't close me out, not
now."
"Justin maybe..." JT starts as Justin cuts him off.
"Shut up JT! Nicky, come on baby say something." Justin says, sliding out of his wheel chair and moving closer to Nick. "Baby I'm here for you."
"Make him stop, please make him stop." Nick mumbles, the tears still falling from his eyes.
"Baby he's gone. He's not here, just me." Justin says, caressing Nick's face.
"He's gone, really gone?" Nick asks in a small voice.
"Yes baby he's gone. He can't hurt you now." Justin answers him, still caressing Nick's face.
"Ah are you two okay?" JT asks, as his voice scares Nick.
"JT Get out!" Justin shouts, scaring JT.
"Oh...okay." JT says as he leaves the room and closes the door behind him. "This doesn't look good at all Steve. If I don't do something now...I don't know...those two might go into lock down mode."
"What can you do JT?" Steve asks.
"Right now I don't know what to do. This is fucking nuts!" JT says walking over to where Brad the security guard was talking to Brian.
"JT what are you doing?" Steve asks, walking behind JT.
"You!" JT screams as he jumps for Brian and tries to choke him.
"What the hell!" Brian shouts, trying to push JT away from him.
"JT! JT stop this!" Steve exclaims, trying to stop JT from hurting Brian.
"You hurt him again! Why!?!" JT asks, hitting at Brian.
"I didn't do anything to anyone!" Brian yells, as Brad pulls him back away from JT.
"You hurt Nick! You hurt him again!" JT screams, waving his finger in Brian's face. "You hurt him, why do you continue to hurt him?"
"I didn't hurt him, I love him." Brian answers him.
"If you love him, then why do you keep hurting him?" JT asks, tears falling from his eyes.
"I am not hurting him, I am only trying to show him my love." Brian says, struggling with Brad.
"You are hurting him! When he says the word NO to you, you are hurting
him!" JT shouts at Brian, turning away and heading for the office.
"I love him! I have always loved him!" Brian screams.
"Take him down to lock up Brad, call the police and send him back to wherever the hell he came from!" JT shouts, slamming the door to the office.
"Ah JT..." Steve says, walking into the office.
"Get the fuck out!" JT shouts, scaring Steve, making the man walk back out of the office. "I can't deal with this, I need Angie."
Sitting down in the chair behind the desk, JT picks up the phone and then slams it back down. He gets up and walks over to the window in the office. He looks in the direction of the storage closet where Nick and Justin were, wondering what was going on with the two souls in there. Turning back around, he walks back over to the desk and picks up the phone.
"Angie help me, help me please." JT says into the phone.
"I'm on my way JT." Angie says, hanging up the phone.
"Why! Why does everyone around me fall apart?!? Why God, Why!!!!" JT screams, slamming his fist down on the desk, his tears racking his system and he cries like he has never cried before.
"JT please calm down." Steve says knocking gently on the door.
"Get out! Get out right now!" JT screams as Angie and Kasai walk up to the door.
"Daddy what's wrong?" Kasai asks, standing in the doorway.
"Get o...Kai? What are you doing here? I thought you were up in my office." JT says, tears streaming down his face.
"Daddy talk to me. What's wrong?" Kasai asks walking over to JT and hugging him.
"Son I...I don't know what's wrong. I don't know how to explain it all." JT says, embracing Kasai, holding the boy tight.
"What has you like this JT?" Angie asks walking into the room now that JT has somewhat calmed down.
"I...I am tired Angie, I am tired of a whole lot of things." JT says, holding his head down.
"Come on J, don't fall apart like this, you need to hold it together." Angie says sitting on the desk in front of JT and Kasai.
"I don't know if I can right now, there is too much stuff going on Angie." JT says, releasing his hold on Kasai.
"Baby boy why don't you give me and daddy here some time to talk for a few minutes. Here, go get you something nice." Angie says handing Kasai some money.
"But..." Kasai starts as Angie cuts him off.
"Get going baby boy, I will handle daddy here." Angie says, sliding off the desk and helping JT up. "You come with me. We need to have a little talk you and me."
"There's nothing to talk about Angie, I don't think I can handle this all right now, I just need...I just need some rest." JT says to her, pulling away and falling back against the wall. "Just leave me along Angie."
"Excuse me Mr. Wahlberg don't get snippy with me." Angie says, picking up JT's crutches and handing them to him and helping him through the doors. "We are going up to your office and talk like I said."
"We can't go, I must check on Justin and Nick. They need my... " JT says, turning around heading in the direction of the storage closet.
"You are coming with me and that's final." Angie says, grabbing JT by one of the belt loops on his pants and holding him in place. "We are going to your office to talk and now."
"But..." JT stutters.
"No buts JT move!" Angie says with an authorative tone. "Steve can deal with Justin and Nick."
"Fine." JT relents, following Angie out of the gym towards the elevator.
// In the Cafeteria //
"I don't know daddy, he's crying and he's scaring me." Kasai says into his phone.
"Is he by himself?" Mark asks.
"No dad, Aunt Angie is with him. Something's wrong with him dad." Kasai says, looking around the cafeteria to see if anyone was listening to him. "I think he's going crazy or something."
"He's not going crazy, JT's okay. I will talk to him when he gets home." Mark responds, burping loudly.
"Dad are you okay?" Kasai asks, looking at his phone strangely.
"I'm fine kid. Everything's going to be alright, Angie will straighten things out for now." Mark says to him, picking up another beer.
"I don't think so dad, why don't you come and see for yourself...daddy is hurting and hurting bad." Kasai says.
"I'm sure it's nothing Kai." Mark replies hanging up the phone.
"Something is definitely wrong with Daddy Mark." Kasai says closing his phone, getting up and walking out of the cafeteria unaware that Valgina had been listening to his conversation all along.
// Up in JT's Office //
"Come on Mr. Wahlberg talk to me. What's going on in that head of yours?" Angie asks, sitting down in JT's desk chair, making him sit on his couch.
"I don't know Angie, I really don't know." JT answers her, crying again.
"Come on J, talk to me, this is Angie here." Angie responds, getting up and sitting next to him on the couch. "Man I know you have been under some major pressure with everything that has gone on over the last few weeks, but you can't let all of this get you down."
"Angie please...the last few weeks? How about we try the last few years." JT says, dropping his head down, crying harder.
"The last few years? What has gone on that I don't already know about?" Angie asks, grabbing JT's hand and rubbing the palm.
"Where do I start Angie?" JT asks, sniffling.
"How about you tell me where things started to go downhill from your view." Angie says, arranging herself on the couch so she can see JT fully.
"Well let's see, I'm married to a man that's a jealous pompous jerk." JT says, turning around to face Angie. "Over the past few years that we have been together, he has always accused me of sleeping with other men when in fact he's the one that has slept around on me. Hell I know about his fling with Joey McIntyre, I know about the night with Jordan Knight, hell I even know about him and Casey Affleck! Do I need to go on?"
"But you were not married then, you were just cohabitating." Angie says, catching an evil glare from JT.
"That doesn't matter Angie. He cheated on me and I still married him anyway. What does that say about me?" JT asks, tears running down his face.
"You were willing to forgive him for what he did in the past. You love him." Angie says. "Look at things with me and Kevin, I love him, but I can't do anything about him sleeping with JC, he did it, it's done and over with."
"But..." JT starts, but Angie cuts him off.
"But nothing JT, you were willing to risk your heart that he loved you and your son and that he could be faithful to you." Angie says.
"Is he being faithful to me now?" JT asks, turning to look at her again. "Where is he Angie? Where does he go when I am working?"
"I don't know that answer." Angie replies, shaking her head.
"I don't know what to do, I...I can't deal with all of this stuff right now." JT says, fidgeting with his crutches.
"J calm down. I know that things are strained right now between you and Mark. Don't let your mind run away with you, trust in the love that you two share, that will make everything alright in the end." Angie says, hugging JT.
"But they need to be right now!" JT screams, scaring Angie a little. "I can't handle this shit right now!"
"J please calm down! I promise, things will work out for you, Mark and Kai," Angie says, hugging JT until he pulls away from her. "JT---,"
"I am going home. I will see you later." JT says, walking out of the office, leaving Angie standing there.
// Downstairs in the Gym //
"Steve where are Justin and Nick?" Angie asks, walking into the Gym.
"They are still over there in the storage closet, they won't let anyone in there with them." Steve answers, grabbing his clipboard. "Where is JT?"
"He's gone for today. He's not feeling well." Angie says.
"You're telling me. I thought he was going to clobber me with something." Steve says, writing something down about the young man he was working with.
"Who's that?" Angie asks, motioning at the man sitting on the floor.
"That's Eric Johnson." Steve answers, writing something else on the clipboard. "He was in an accident a few weeks back and his lower spine was crushed."
"Oh my, and you have him up already? Isn't it too early for him to be doing this?" Angie asks.
"Against his doctor's wishes he wanted to get down here to work out. I agree with the doctor, I think he needs to wait before working out, but he said he wanted to work out or he would go somewhere where he could. He signed a release so he's here doing what he wants." Steve explains.
"Are you protected from his actions Steve?" Angie asks, stopping in front of the storage closet door.
"Yeah he signed a release for the hospital and the form for the therapy staff." Steve answers, knocking on the door to the storage closet.
"Okay long as you are protected, I don't want you to be sued for his mistakes." Angie says, waiting for someone to answer the door. "They seem to be ignoring us or asleep."
"They are probably ignoring us." Steve says as Angie grabs the doorknob and turns it. "Justin, Nick are you two okay?"
"What is it Angie, he's sleeping." Justin speaks softly, pointing at Nick.
"Well sorry, I just want to make sure that you two are okay." Angie says, holding her stomach.
"Are you okay Angie?" Justin asks, looking at how Angie's expression changed.
"I don't feel so good. I have to run, I will check you guys later." Angie says running out of the room.
---Angie's POV ---
I had to get out of that room before I got even sicker than I already was. I dashed out the door, not stopping until I was inside the bathroom at the end of the hall. I barely made it into the stall before I lost everything in my stomach, retching until I felt sore. I leaned weakly against the wall as I rinsed my mouth, mind racing as I tried to find a logical reason for my sudden illness.
"It's all this excitement," I told myself half-heartedly, staring at myself in the mirror as I fought down a wave of panic at some of the other possible answers for my nausea. "I just need to get some fresh air."
I stopped by the desk to let everyone know I wasn't feeling well and that I was going to take an early lunch so I could go for a short walk, hoping that the fresh air would help settle my stomach as I grabbed my purse and headed out the door. I walked across the street to the small playground and sat down on a bench to rest.
"Miss, are you okay," I heard, opening my eyes to see who was talking. A little girl of about five stood in front of me, tugging on her braid as she watched me. I smiled tiredly, still not feeling any better, but not as nauseated as I had been.
"I'm fine sweetie," I replied, sitting up and glancing at my watch. I still had over a half-hour before I needed to be back at the hospital, so I decided to stay here in the park to watch the kids play.
"Are you a nurse lady?" she asked, eyes widening as she took in my scrubs and nametag. I couldn't help grinning at her enthusiasm and openness as she sat down on the bench next to me.
"I sure am," I replied as a young woman about my age ran up, taking the little girl by the hand.
"Lisa, what has Mommy told you about disturbing people like that?" she said softly, smiling apologetically at me. Her perfume was really, really loud and it was making me feel sick again, but I did manage to smile politely. "I 'm sorry about that. She's fascinated with doctors and nurses. Are you
okay?"
"I'm--- I'm fine," I gasped as my stomach began to lurch again when her perfume became too much for me. "I'm just feeling a little nauseated is all... it'll pass."
"You look as green as I did when I was pregnant with Lisa," the woman said candidly, chattering away but my mind was still stuck on one word: pregnant. I stood up abruptly, smiling at Lisa and her mother absentmindedly as I hurried to gather my things.
"I'm so sorry but I have to run. It was nice meeting both of you though. Feel free to stop by to see us nurses in action sometime. Bye Lisa!" I said, waving good-bye to the both of them as I rushed to the parking lot to my car.
As I walk, I'm trying frantically to remember the last time I'd had a period, and unfortunately for me, I'm drawing a complete blank. What I did remember as clear as day though was Kevin and I making love in the swimming pool without any kind of protection. Which would have been almost nine weeks ago, right before I`d moved into the house... and also around the time I would have been fertile.
What the hell have I done? I thought frantically as I got into my car and drove like a bat out of hell to a local drugstore to purchase a home pregnancy test.
I hurried back to the hospital, going downstairs to the employees break room to take the test. While I waited I tried to think about everything I could to keep my mind off that small stick that would change my life forever if the result was what I thought it would be. When the two minutes were up, I glanced at the digital readout, bursting into tears when I read the word I`d dreaded seeing: pregnant. I slid to the floor, sobbing as I realized what that test meant. I was pregnant with Kevin's baby and I wasn't married to him.
Oh God, I thought frantically, crying harder. Momma's gonna kill me!
"Angie? Are you in there?" I heard someone outside the door say as they knocked softly. I went completely still until I recognized that the voice belonged to Andy. "Angie are you okay?"
"Yeah Andy... I'll be out in a second," I said as I stood up and wiped my face on some tissues.
He must have come looking for me to help him with something for one of our patients. I realized as I glanced down at my watch that I was almost twenty minutes late coming back from lunch. I glanced into the mirror one more time to make sure I was at least presentable before I opened the door. Andy stood there looking so concerned that I burst into tears again while he wrapped me in his embrace.
"What's wrong Angie?" Andrew asked, holding me away from him and looking down into my tear streaked face.
I couldn't even answer him, just pointed into the bathroom. Andy looked confused for a second as he left me to go see what had upset me so much. He stayed in there for a few seconds looking down at the pregnancy test in his hand. He shoved the test back inside the box, but the whole thing into his pocket and grabbing me by the arm, lead me out to the elevators.
"It could be a false positive Angie," he said by way of comforting me, putting his arm around my shoulder.
"I think we both know that it's not though," I replied, unable to meet his eyes.
"I'm still going to do an HCG serum test and an ultrasound in my office to confirm it though," Andy said, sounding brisk and businesslike.
"Okay," I replied softly, in a complete daze as I followed him silently to his office.
Andy drew the blood and sent it to the lab for a stat analysis. While we waited Andrew called for the portable ultrasound machine, helping me to down enough water to do the test. I laid down on his examining table, wincing when the gel hit my skin as he went to work punching in a series of numbers and codes. He placed the wand gently on my stomach, rolling it around until it picked up a picture.
"You're definitely pregnant," Andy said softly as he pointed at the screen. "There's the head. There's one of the legs and one arm. That thing that looks like a string of pearls is the baby's spinal column. Congratulations Angela."
"My baby," I said softly as I traced a finger over the image on the screen. Andy keyed in a series of numbers and a heartbeat filled the room. The tears in my eyes this time were ones of wonder as I listened to my child's heart beating full and strong.
"I take it that Kevin Richardson is the father?" Andrew said with a smile as he printed out several of the screen captures for me to take home with me. I could only nod as I looked at my baby's first picture, amazed that this little person was living and growing inside me.
"Do I need to do anything special?" I asked, full of concern for the baby's welfare. I know how frenetic this job can be and I didn't want to risk my child's safety to continue doing it if it meant something bad could happen.
"Well, I can write you a prescription for prenatal vitamins but you're going to need to see your regular OB/GYNE soon for prenatal care," Andrew said as there was a knock on his door. He opened it, accepting the file with a thanks to the lab technician. He scanned the report briefly, frowning when he read something there.
"What is it? What's wrong with my baby?" I asked, dreading his answer. Andy smiled as he turned to me again.
"Nothing is wrong with the baby. It's your iron levels I was concerned
with," he replied with a smile. "I'm going to add a scrip for iron supplements to be taken three times a day with meals. You know the drill Angie. No heavy lifting, no hot tubs, no strenuous activity. Now when was your LMP?"
"I think it was August 3rd," I replied, relieved that everything was good so far. Andy picked up a pregnancy predictor, smiling when he finally came to the correct date.
"How do you feel about a May Day baby?" he asked, laughing when I let out a loud whoop and hugged him again. "Congratulations Mommy!"
"Mommy," I repeated with wonder, resting a hand over my stomach as I thought of the best way to break the news to Kevin that his dream of having a big family was beginning to come true. I took the prescription and thanked Andy for all his help as I walked out the door on my way back to work floating on cloud nine the rest of the evening.
// Poole-Wahlberg Estates -- Later that Evening //
--- Angie's POV ---
"Hey! I'm home!" I yelled as I came into the house after filling my prescriptions on my way home. "Where is everybody?"
"What am I not enough for you?" Kevin said as he walked down the stairs and hugged then kissed me. I almost spilled the news right then and there, but I managed to restrain myself. "Hey beautiful. How was your day?"
"It was long and stressful, and I could really use something to take my mind off it," I said seductively, kissing him again and letting my mouth trail down his chin to his Adam's apple. "Kevin... I-I have something really important to tell you... and I-I don`t know where to start."
"Angie, baby what`s wrong?" Kevin asked, grabbing my hand and leading me into the living room. I sat down on the couch next to him, cuddling into his side.
"Just hold me for a minute okay?" I whispered, afraid now to tell him. His arms tightened around me, holding me closer to him.
"Angie, talk to me. Tell me what's wrong baby," Kevin begged, holding me away from him slightly and looking down into my face. "Whatever it is, we can handle it together."
"Oh Kevin!" I replied, bursting into tears. Kevin held me while I cried, whispering sweet words that calmed my fears. When I was finally emotionally spent, he held me away from him and looked at me.
"Angie, you're scaring me now," Kevin stated, looking into my eyes. "Just tell me what's wrong."
"I-I-I'm p-p-pregnant," I stammered, lowering my face into my hands. Kevin pulled away from me, sitting back on the couch and staring off into space for a minute before he looked at me again.
"Are... are you sure?" he asked, disbelief apparent in his voice.
"Yes... I'm sure. I did the test this afternoon at work and Andrew confirmed it," I replied, reaching into my pocket for the ultrasound picture. Kevin stared at the picture in shock, not saying a word as he studied the picture.
"Oh my God," he finally exclaimed, gathering me in his arms and squeezing me tight. "Oh my God!"
"Kevin... are you okay with this?" I asked softly, caressing the side of his face. "I mean, I know we didn't plan this, but are you gonna be okay?"
"Angie, I love you and this is way better than okay!" Kevin exclaimed, standing up and pulling me into his embrace. "Hot damn... I'm gonna be a Daddy!"
"What the hell do you mean you're gonna be a daddy?!" my Momma exclaimed as she walked into the room. "Angela Renee Sebastian I know damned good and well you aren't pregnant with his baby!"
"Momma please, I can explain!" I stammered as Mablean stalked over to where I stood in front of Kevin. She grabbed me by the arm, pulling me forcefully away from Kevin. "Momma that hurts!"
"Angie, how could you let yourself get caught up like this?!" Mablean screamed, shoving me away from her. "I know I raised you better than this! Your Daddy is gonna loose his mind when he hears that his only child is having a child out of wedlock!"
"Momma please don't do this!" I cried, trying to hug her but being rebuffed.
"I can't look at you right now Angela!" Mablean exclaimed, turning to face Kevin. "And I ought to rip your fuckin' balls clean off your body for doing this to my baby! How could you both be so damned stupid and careless?"
"Judge Mablean please... don't upset Angie like this," Kevin said, coming over and taking me in his arms. I collapsed into his arms as Momma stormed out of the room with one more evil glare at me, sobbing so hard I felt ill as he walked me back over to the couch and sat down with me on his lap. "I'm so sorry baby. I never meant for this to happen! I wish there was some way I could undo this, but I can't. All I can do is offer you the protection of my name."
"Ke-Kevin, you c-c-can't marry m-me c-c-cause I'm p-p-pregnant," I stammered out between hitched breaths, resting my head on his shoulder as he wiped my tears away.
"Baby, I was going to ask you to marry me anyway. This just gave me the push I needed to actually ask you," Kevin replied, kissing me on my forehead, then trailing kisses down my cheek to my lips. "Please don't cry anymore darlin'. Everything is gonna be okay. Just say yes and I'll do everything in my power to make you happy."
"Alright! Yes!" I replied, giggling as I tried to avoid his wandering hands and lips. "I'll marry you Kevin... Just no more tickling me!"
"Yes!" Kevin yelled, crushing me in his embrace. "I promise I'll make you happy baby! I gotta go tell the rest of the guys!"
Kevin sat me on the couch, kissing me again before he went off in search of the rest of the house's occupants. I smiled as I touched my lips, one hand covering the baby sleeping inside my womb. I stood up to go find Kevin, a smile firmly in place as I went to find my friends and share the good news with them.
// 30 Minutes Later -- JT and Mark's Bedroom //
--- JT's POV ---
I have been sitting in this bedroom for the last few hours thinking, waiting, wanting to know what it is that Mark does when I am not around and where the hell it is that he goes. Kai came in here a few minutes ago to ask me was I okay and he got his answer when he saw my face. I didn't want him to see my tears, but it's hard to stop them from flowing. Only time and answers will fix the current state of my heart. Looking at the clock, it's not a little after six when Mark walks into the bedroom.
"Where da hell have you been?" I ask him, standing up and walking over to the door.
"Baby I am not in the mood for this right now." He says, walking past me and into the bathroom.
"I asked you a fucking question Mark! Where da hell have you been!?!" I ask him again, walking into the bathroom behind him.
"I was around town baby. Why are you so inquisitive?" He asks, unzipping his pants and taking a piss.
"Around town? Around town where Mark?" I ask, stepping closer to him. "Where is it that you go when I leave for work and Kai goes to school? What do you do with your time now that you are not working?"
"Baby why are you asking me this? What's wrong?" Mark asks, zipping up and moving over to the sink.
"I am asking because I want to know what it is you do while I am gone all day." I answer him still waiting on him to answer my question as he turns the water on to wash his hands.
"Fine, I hang out with friends and I am trying to get a show produced." He says, wiping his hands on the towel next to the sink and walking back into the bedroom. "I don't need this crap baby, you are treating me like I can't be trusted or something."
"Can you be trusted Mark?" I ask him, walking into the room. "Tell me that."
"What's going on baby? Why are you acting like this? What have I done to warrant this kind of treatment?" He asks, sitting down on the bed and pulling me down to him.
"Don't try to change the mood Mark, touching me like that isn't going to stop me from asking my questions. Just tell me why you are so secretive about things? Why didn't you tell me about the things you do? Is what you do legal? Are you really doing something work-related or are you just lying to me?" I ask him.
"I'm not trying to change the mood baby and I am not lying to you either. I love you baby and I just want to hold you." He says, as I get closer to him, the faint smell of beer intoxicating me.
"Baby have you been drinking?" I ask him, pulling away.
"I had a few beers earlier today...I am not drunk baby." He says, rubbing his hands up my legs, trying to make his way to my belt buckle.
"Stop it Mark, I am not in the mood. I have a headache right now." I tell him, as he isn't hearing it, pulling the belt from my pants, and unzipping them.
"You don't have nothing that a little bit of lovin' and R' and R' can't cure." He says, pulling me closer, causing me to fall on top of him on the bed.
"Mark quit it." I say, pushing him away as he moves up on the bed and takes my shoes off, then my socks, moving up to pull my pants off.
"You don't want me to quit, you want this." He says, rubbing my crotch. "Stop being a bore baby, you know we need each other."
"I need something but it isn't you right now." I tell him, pushing him away and crawling to the other side of the bed.
"Baby stop this. I need you." He says, tears streaming down his face. "You don't know all that I am going through...why baby, why are you doing this to me?"
"I am not doing anything to you." I say, standing up and reaching for my pants.
"Right now you are. I need you baby, how many times do I have to say it?" He asks, standing up and holding out his hands to me. "I have been in a fucking daze all week baby, you know I have. Since all this stuff with Kai, I just don't know what to do anymore."
"And you think I do? Hell! Mark this isn't all about Kai, this is about you and why it is that we have problems in our marriage!" I say, a little louder than normal. "I know things are rough with what happened to Kai, but you were like this way before anything ever happened to Kai."
"No...I...I...damn it! Baby stop this." He says turning away and sitting down on the bed.
"No I will not stop! You need to be truthful to me and now! What's going on with you Mark?" I ask, walking towards the door.
"Fine baby, today I went to Jordan and Joey's house. I had a few beers while I was there. I left there and went to a bar down the street and had some more beers because Jordan kicked me out. Once I left the bar I came back here and hung out until Kai called me." He explains, turning in my direction.
"Kai called you?" I ask, wondering what transpired between the two of them.
"Yes he called me today. He was worried about you, said that you were upset." He says, more tears coming from his eyes. "I wanted to come to you baby, but I didn't want you to see me the way I was earlier."
"The way you were? You were drunk, hell no I didn't want to see that!" I scream, hitting the wall.
"Baby please, I'm sorry." He says, sliding to the floor and crawling across the floor to me. "Please forgive me baby, I know I was weak, I have been weak for a while now. I...I...just don't know what to do anymore."
"What are you talking about Mark?" I ask him.
"It's hard baby, it's been hard for a long time now." He says, crying harder.
"What is hard baby?" I ask, feeling somewhat sad for him.
"Do you know that I can't find work? Hell, I can't find much of anything nowadays." He says.
"Why can't you find work?" I ask.
"It's quite simple really, I sacrificed my career for love." He says. "When I came out with you, that ended my acting career."
"What! I know you are not blaming me for this!" I scream, glaring at him, ready to kick his ass. "You can't blame me for this! You fucker! You were the one that planned the wedding, you were the one that wanted to have a public reception! I said no, that you should think of your career and you said no, that you wanted me in your life and didn't care what those people in Hollywood thought!"
"If I would have stayed in the closet, I would be working right now!" He shouts, standing up and slamming his fist into the wall behind my head.
"Stop it Mark! Stop it! You are scaring me!" I shout at him as he realizes what he's done and tries to hug me.
"No! Don't touch me!" I say to him, tripping up and falling to the floor.
"What's going on in here daddy?" Kasai asks, walking into the room
"Oh God, son..." He says, turning around to see Kasai. "It's not what you think."
"Daddy, daddy are you okay?" Kasai asks leaning down to help me up.
"You hurt him!" Kasai screams. "Stay away from my daddy!"
"Kai it's not what you think, please baby tell him." He says, walking towards me and Kasai.
"Stay away from us!" Kasai screams at him again.
"Kai baby stop." I say, grabbing his arm. "It was an accident. Mark didn' t mean for me to fall down."
"But daddy I saw..." Kasai starts, as I cut him off.
"I know baby, let me and Mark handle this." I say.
"Are you sure daddy?" Kasai asks, standing up and staring daggers at Mark.
"I'm sure baby, just go back to your room, okay? I will be up a later when we get ready for dinner." I say, kissing him on his forehead.
"Okay daddy." Kasai says hugging me around the neck and then walking towards the door. "Daddy Mark, don't make me drop you."
"Kai behave." I say as he frowns and walks out of the room, closing the door back.
"Baby I am so sorry, please forgive me, I didn't mean..." He says as I start crying. "Baby please don't cry, I'm sorry, really I am."
"Are you trying to throw us away?" I ask him, sliding away from him.
"No, no baby, never." He answers, trying to touch me.
"Then why Mark? Why did you say what you just said?" I ask him, still crying.
"I was mad baby, please forgive me." He says, reaching for my hand again. "This is the proof of my love."
"But is that love still in your heart like it is in mine?" I ask him.
"Yes baby you know it is." He says, reaching up to touch my face. "My heart yearns for only you and you know that baby. There is no other person for me than you."
"And there is no other person for me than you. I hope you finally realize that you are the man that I chose and no one else." I say as he reaches up, leans in and kisses me passionately.
"I know that baby, I know that now." He says, kissing me again, as we embrace and deepen the kiss.
"Don't you forget it." I say as he pulls his shirt over his head and leans in to kiss me again.
"Never baby, never." He says, holding himself up as he kicked his shorts off of his legs. "Why don't you let me help you with those."
"Sure, just be gentle." I say as he slid my boxers off my legs and then leaned down and kissed the head of my cock.
"What do we have here?" He asks, fondling my cock and balls.
"You know what that is Mr. Wahlberg." I say as he kisses me again, and then sits down in my lap.
"Yes I know what it is, could you introduce us again?" He asks, kissing me again, this time opening my shirt and caressing my chest.
"I'll be the rain in your summer, the chill in your fall...I'll be watcha want, anything at all, " He sings, rocking his hips and kissing me again. "I've got a love for all seasons, a love for all time. I'll be the fire in your winter, the sun in your spring...I'll do what you want, I'll give ya everything...I've got a love for all seasons, a love for all time."
"Oh baby." I say as he kisses me again, this time, reaching under the two of us and grabbing my cock.
"You are my love for all seasons." He says, pulling the bedside drawer open and taking out the bottle of lube. "You are a love for all time."
"You are too baby." I say as he squirts some of the lube in his hand and works it up and down on my cock.
"I love you baby." He says, rubbing the lube into his asscrack.
"I love you too." I say as he takes in a breathe and then inserts my cock into his ass. "Oh yeah baby."
"Baby go slow." He says, slowly inching downwards.
"You know I like it nice and slow." I say, as he settles all the way down on my cock.
"Baby, I'm ready." He says, leaning down and kissing me again, while tweaking both my nipples.
// Up in Kasai's Attic //
"Yeah, what else are you gonna do?" Kasai asks, speaking on the phone with Aaron Carter.
"Well then I will wrap my arms around you and hold you close to me." Aaron says.
"Oh really? Why aren't you already doing that?" Kasai asks.
"I'm not there with you silly." Aaron replies, laughing at Kasai.
"Well what's keeping you away?" Kasai asks, tapping his finger on the desk. "So far I don't have school and I will be home everyday doing nothing."
"Well can I come over?" Aaron asks.
"How about now. We will be having dinner soon and then we can hang out." Kasai replies, walking across the room and picking something out to wear.
"Cool I will be there in a few minutes." Aaron says. "Later cutie."
"Bye Aaron." Kasai says hanging up the phone and going into his bathroom to change clothes.
// Down in the Kitchen //
"Hey guys," Angie said as Nick walked into the kitchen, followed closely by Justin. "You're just in time to help me with dinner."
"Aww c'mon Angie, we just got home. Give us a break," Nick whined, kissing her on the cheek then sitting down at the table to chop up carrots to be placed around the roast.
"Hey, if you want to eat here at the Cafe Poole-Wahlberg, you have to contribute," Angie replied, sticking her tongue out at Nick while he sat there and pouted.
"Hey Angie, you feeling better now?" Justin said with a smile, rolling over to her and kissing her cheek when she bent down, taking the potatoes from her with his trademark Timberlake grin.
"I'm fine now Justin," Angie replied with a grin, dying to shout her secret from the rooftops, but not wanting to share with everybody just yet. "Enough about me though. How are you guys doing? I mean really doing?"
"I'm better... and Nicky is going to be fine," Justin replied, rolling over to the table to sit next to Nick, who scooted his chair over to make room for his chair. Justin kissed Nick softly, running his fingers through his hair. "We were just making final preparations for the wedding."
"Don't you guys have a while to work on that?" Angie asked, grinning at the two of them. "I thought you said you wanted to have it later this year?"
"We did, but with everything that's going on we decided to move it up," Nick replied, munching on a piece of carrot. "We never know how things are going to go, especially with Brian being out of jail and JC still on the prowl."
"I'm happy for you," Angie said with a dreamy smile as she thought of her own wedding and the baby she was carrying. "After the crap you two have been through, you deserve some happiness. Now, do you need any help with planning or anything like that?"
"Nah," they both replied, making Angie laugh as she checked on the pot roast. Satisfied that at the progress it was making, she turned back to the boys.
"Are you guys saying you don't want my help?" she asked with a hurt expression, bursting out laughing at the helpless look she was getting from Nick. Just as she was about to say something, Kasai came down the stairs smiling like a cat that ate the canary and all the cream. "Hey baby boy. Care to help your auntie put these potatoes on the roast?"
"Awww Auntie Angie!" Kai whined, bottom lip poking out as Nick and Justin laughed.
"Nice try little dude, but the lip doesn't work on your Aunt," Nick sniped, laughing when Angie threw a carrot piece at him. "Thanks Angie! I needed that. I'm hungry."
"The lip does work when Kevin works his magic on her." Kasai said, walking over to the island.
"Alright mister smart alec, don't say something to get yourself into trouble." Angie said, popping Kasai on his hand, causing him to whine.
"Dang Aunt Angie, sorry, it was only a joke." Kasai whined, looking out the window.
"Dinner will be ready in a bit," Angie said with a smirk that disappeared suddenly, surprising the guys and Kasai when she rushed into the bathroom next to the kitchen.
"I wonder what's wrong with her?" Nick asked, concerned for his new friend.
"I don't know, but whatever it is is making her sick," Justin replied, his face mirroring Nick's concern. "I wonder if we should go get Kevin?"
"Nahhh. I'm sure she'll be okay in a few minutes," Nick replied, kissing Justin softly. "I love you Justin Timberlake. Thank you for helping me today."
"You don't have to thank me baby," Justin told him with a grin. "I love you and I'll do anything to protect you. I can't wait to be your husband."
"You two are getting married?" Kasai asked, walking around to where Nick and Justin were sitting.
"Yeah dude, I thought you knew." Justin answered him, swiping another carrot and popping it in his mouth.
"Well I kinda figured you two would, sooner or later. When is the big day?" Kasai asked, grabbing a bowl that had apples in it that he was going to slice for desert.
"Sometime soon, we just haven't picked a good date yet." Nick answered, picking up the bowl of sliced carrots and walking over to the other countertop. "What else are we going to have for dinner?"
"Well I am chopping the apples for dessert, I think Aunt Angie likes to prepare String beans with Pot Roast, has the dinner rolls been placed in the oven?" Kasai asked.
"Hmm, no, I don't see any." Nick replied, looking in the pantry, grabbing a few cans of string beans. "I will open these up and get them into a pot."
"Alright, wonder what she's going to do with these apples, I hope it's pie." Kasai said, throwing an apple core into the trash can.
"Mmmm, I love apple pie." Justin stated, rolling around to hand Nick the bowl of potatoes. "Here you go baby. What else do we need to do?"
"I think that's it." Nick answered as Angie emerged refreshed from the bathroom.
"Are you okay Aunt Angie?" Kasai asked her, hopping down off of his stool. "What's wrong with you?"
"There's nothing wrong, I think I have that bug that is going around or something." Angie replied, walking over to the oven and checking on the roast again.
"Aunt Angie are you pregnant or something?" Kasai asked just as Kevin walked into the kitchen, looking like a deer caught in the headlights of an 18-Wheeeler Truck.
