Hot for Harden (Part 2)
..... I waited and waited for an answer from Randall. But none came. I hoped that what had happened hadn't had fucked every thing up. I didn't want to losw him as a friend. And was afraid that it had happened. Several days passed and no answer. So I tried to call him. The phone rang several times before he finally answered.
"Hey Randall. Its me" I said "Hey buddy..." He started to say "Sorry I haven't answered your texts."
I paused for a moment. Knowing that this conversation was going to be awkward to say the least.
"Look. About the other day.." I said "Don't worry about it man" he replied "Something happened that wasn't supposed to." "Just need to step back is all"
We talked for a bit more. But not.much. then he promised he would send me some of those Hunter pics I wanted. Then he hung up. Well it was a problem what happened. Because it took him several days to send me the pics. And not until I texted him a few times. And not even about the pictures. I wantes to make sure that there wasn't a problem.
"Well that friendship is screwed" I said to myself. "Its obvious he is backing off"
So I kind of gave up trying to talk to him. Then went back to my boring life. Then he sent me the pics one day. With a note saying sorry for the delay. And to enjoy them.
"I'll call you layer this week" he ended it
Well he didn't and I didn't expect him to either. So I just gave up on hanging out with him anymore. And it was sad. Cuz I liked Randall. Then one day some months later, he called me. It was a shock and surprise that he did. But it was a nice surprise.
"Hey sweetie" he said "How have you been?" "Good" I said back
Randall then said that he was going to an event and wanted me to come along. Then appologized for the distance. But work had him so busy. He assured me it wasn't because of what had happened.
"Shit happens" he said laughing
I laughed back uncomfortably. I didn't know if I should have been insulted by his comment or not. But then he continued to tell me about the thing he was inviting me to tonight.
"Remember that big I had sometime back" he said "The one with the hot bear models"
I knew which one immediately. But let him continue. Remembering the gorgeous Mr Harden that he sent me those pics on.
"The one with that hot guy you liked" he added "Hunter". "Ohh yess" I said back "Thank you for those by the way"
Then there was a pause before he then told me that the event was for the public release if the images. There was to be a calendar if them. Amd then he said the words that made me almost lose it.
"And Hunter will be there" he added "And I know you would love to meet him"
My eyes widened as he said this. The gorgeous Mr Harden was going to be there. This perfect man I had lusted over for months now.
"And I know he wants to meet you" he then said "Huh. What!?" I chirped "Meet me?!" "What do you mean?"
Randall then proceeded to tell me that he had spoken to Hunter. That he had told him my interest in him. My face dropped in shock as he told me this. I didn't know why he did.
"You are fucking kidding me right?" I crowed.
But he wasn't. Randall was serious. He had talked to the hunk about me. Ans Hunter wanted to meet me.
"Ohh my God!" My head screamed "Oh my God".
But it was my only chance to meet him. So I took it and said yes to Randall. My heart pounding in my chest as I agreed to it.
"Great" he said back "And he is really nice too"
Then he told me the date and dress. Which waa casual. But he suggested getting all dolled up for the hot hunk.
"And I will pick you up" he finally said......
