I know, I know! I have been slacking off for some time. Sorry for the lack of my brain. Oh yeah... ummm... [insert disclaimer here] There, I'm done! -ShazaminGurl-
His Destiny Part 3 of... I dunno yet Depends on my responses so R/R!
For the third time in a day, Prince Justin gasped. The first from seeing the beauty of nature, the second from the nameless boy he had just met and the third was the little cottage growing on top of a small hill. He blinked his big blue eyes. It seemed out of a fairy tale. All too impossible.
"Is... Is that yours?" Justin said in awe.
"Yes, it is... You don't like it, do you?" Lance's voice wavered in temporary fear. He wanted to please his new "friend", but he was afraid he wouldn't like it. From the clothes Justin was wearing, Lance thought he must come from a rich family. Rich families don't live in quaint cottages in the middle of a forest, but then again, Lance remembered that in his vague memories that he used to live in a far better place than this.
"No, no. It's beautiful.... I wish I could live in a place like that!" He squeezed Lance's hand and gave him a smile.
"Well... you know you are always welcome to live me with me. Forever..." He said softly. His shy gaze met Justin's. Justin was taken aback.
"Forever? As in.. the rest of my life?"
"And maybe more... if you like.." Justin cleared his throat.
"Um... let me see what it looks like inside!" The Prince tried to get away from the subject of living with Lance forever.
"Okay! Come on, I'll race you up the hill!" Lance started up the grassy slope. When he saw Justin was not coming after him, he frowned and went back down.
"What's wrong? Did you change your mind? You don't want to live with me anymore?"
"No.. it's not that. I'm just not accustomed to running up a hill, much less running at all. Don't worry. I'll get used to it." Lance smiled and grabbed Justin's hand.
"I'll help you get used to it." He led him slowly up the hill...
"It's so big, Lance!" Justin exclaimed. Lance blushed.
"It's not THAT big. I think mine's smaller compared to how you described yours."
"Well, you are right about that. But I think your roses are much more beautiful." Justin replied. The two young men were both walking along Lance's garden hand in hand.
"I'm so happy that you like my garden. It's the only thing that keeps me from getting lonely. But now, I have you!" He gave Justin a kiss on the cheek. The Prince blushed. 'I know I don't feel the same way about him, but I can't help but to blush when he shows all this affection toward me.'
"Where am I to sleep tonight? I saw only but one bed."
"Um... I was thinking of you and me... I mean, if you don't want to, of course, how stupid of me!" Lance mumbled. He looked down at his feet and turning red.
"What? Oh.. OH! Uh.. well I. I guess it would be alright for tonight." Justin smiled at Lance, reassuring him that everything would be fine.
"Great! You know, it get's really cold at night. And... well, I haven't really had anybody to be with for a long time. I'm happy somebody will be there to warm me."
"Heh. Umm.... well anything for you." Justin lied.
"Come on. It's almost time."
"Time for what?"
"Shh. Just look." Lance pointed to the skies. The blue skies were slowly being painted red as the golden sun went down. It cast a pink glow about everything, and suddenly everything went dark. A gasp is heard as the moon and the stars came out and shone down at the two young men.
"It's so beautiful! I've never seen the moon like this before."
"You haven't? Why not?" Lance asked.
"Well, my father never allowed me to be outside the castle. I wasn't even allowed to look out the windows." The prince leaned against a tree and sighed with melancholy written across delicate face. "But then again, we didn't have that many windows. Whenever I tried looking outside, there were too many torches lit for me to see the skies clearly."
"Oh..." Lance and Justin were enveloped in a tense silence when far off, a wolf howled to the moon. Justin wrapped his arms around him.
"I think we should go back inside, it's getting a bit cold out here."
"Oh. Okay." They walked back into the small, warm cottage.
"Do you think I may go to sleep now? I am tired from walking through out the woods so much." The prince asked. He looked over to Lance who was moving about the small kitchen.
"Aren't you hungry? I was going to make you some supper." He opened up a little cupboard and took out a pot.
"I'm not that hungry. I just want to go to sleep." Justin sat down on a chair, waiting for Lance to answer his question.
"I guess I'm tired, too." He put the pot away and led Justin into a smaller room. There was a small window right by the bed. Light blue curtains swayed gently as a light breeze fluttered into the room. A small oil lamp was kept on a desk near the bed. Books after books were piled on the desk and it looked as if it had not been used for some time. At the foot of the bed, there was a little trunk that looked ancient. 'Probably where he keeps his belongings.' Justin thought.
"Where should I wash up?" The young prince asked. He looked around the room, but there was no sign of where he can make his toilet.
"Oh. You have to go outside and wash up. I'm sorry." Lance said. He looked ashamed.
"Why are you sorry. There is no need to be sorry." Justin said softly. He smiled at the green-eyed boy. "I'll be done soon. Wait for me."
"Wait! Do you know where to go?"
"I'm sure I can find it by myself." Justin replied.
"Well, I'll show you where you go. You might end up going in the woods without knowing it." Lance showed Justin a small well and went back inside the cottage.
"Justin?" Lance whispered into the semi-dark room. The only source of light was the moonlight coming in from the window. Justin rolled over to face Lance.
"Yes? What is it?"
"I..." Lance started. "I.. Oh nevermind!" He leaned in and kissed the young prince. Justin gasped and was about to pull away when Lance entered his tongue. The kiss was passionate and heated, but they pulled away sharply. Justin sat up, breathing hard. He touched his lips softly.
"That was... oh my." Justin said weakly.
"I'm sorry. Was that too much? I'm such a fool. I should have known. I'm so sorry. Are you going to leave me now? Please don't. I love you!" Lance pleaded. He too was sitting up, but his head was buried under his arms. His back was heaving up and down, showing that he was crying.
"I'm not going to leave you. That was just... just very suprising." Justin said. He moved over and put his arms around Lance's bare torso.
"Don't assume so much. I'll be here. Don't worry." He whispered into Lance's ear. He lifted his head up.
"Really? You'll be here forever? With me?" Lance asked. A glimmer of happiness and hope was in his green eyes. The moonlight softly accented the joyful features on his face.
"Of course I'll always be here with you. I love you, remember?" Justin lied. 'I don't really love him, but what am I supposed to do? He so helpless. If I leave him, he'll probably do something stupid. I'll just stay until he realizes that he's making too much of a deal out of this.' Warm arms wrapped around Justin and pushed him back on the bed.
"I love you, Justin. Nobody will ever come in between us out here. I'll always love you forever and nothing will seperate us. Not even death." Lance whispered to the prince, tightening his grip on the younger man. Justin shivered.
