Gay

I just want to point out something. Yes I know that it's been a while since I started this story, but It's only been a weekend for the two boys. k? Also I admit I have a problem with getting there names mixed up. I should also apologize for my editor who missed that as well.

Chapter 11.

Jason felt as if the world had stopped. Was Kyle kissing him? Gently at first their lips had met, and now Jason found himself hungering for more. Kyle WAS kissing him, and it felt good.

Their lips broke apart. "I... I... "Kyle stammered, trying to find some sort of words. Jason didn't blame him.

"Thank you," Jason whispered, and then pushed back against Kyle's lips before he could say anything else. Kyle froze but for a moment, then he was kissing back, just as gently as the first time. So soft, Jason thought, his lips consumed by the young boy under him. Soon though, they had to break apart again from lack of air.

"That was... intense," Kyle said, after they began breathing again. "Oh by the way, I'm gay," Kyle added with a smile on his face.

"Yeah, I kinda guessed after that second kiss," Jason replied, snuggling up against Kyle's bare chest. "So what now?" Jason asked, trailing his hand softly along Kyle's bare skin, sending warm tingles across his body.

"Well, I've never done this before. I've never felt like this about anyone." Kyle ran his hand through Jason's hair, sending shivers through his scalp.

"Me either," Jason added, snuggling deeper against Kyle's chest. "I like you. I really, really like you."

"I really, really like me too," Kyle joked, and laughed as Jason smacked him on the arm. "But seriously. I know we've only known each other for, like a weekend, but I feel as though I'd do anything for you, if I could. I know it sounds weird but, from the first day I met you, I felt different about you than the other guys at school."

"Really?" Kyle thought Jason was special? " You think I'm special?" Jason asked. Kyle looked at him with a confused look. It was strange how good they felt about each other; even after just a weekend of knowing each other.

"Of course I do. I've felt something different about you the moment I saw you in class."

"I think you're special too. You're the only one who bothered to get to know me; besides that Michelle and her stupid make over idea." Jason gave a weak giggle.

"I like the way you look. And I like the way your hair falls around your face," Kyle complimented, gingerly running a hand through Jason's hair.

"Thanks," Jason replied, and then both boys fell silent. Jason just wanted to enjoy lying on his friend's slender body.

A voice came from the doorway: "Jason, are you and Kyle ok...?"

Total fear clenched Kyle's heart, and he would have pushed Jason off of him, but it was too late. There was Jason's aunt s tanding in the door way.

"Oh, hi Shannon," Jason said calmly. How could he be calm?

"Sorry to intrude boys. Kyle, you know you can come to me if you need anything." She smiled. "I'll just leave you two alone." She waved her fingers as she left, closing the bedroom door.

Kyle realized he was holding his breath, and began to breathe again. Jason looked at him with concern. Are you ok?" he asked.

"What was that?" Kyle replied back.

"My aunt; she's a lesbian," Jason explained. "She's really cool about stuff. She won't tell my mom, as long as I'm... well, safe." With this comment, he blushed. Kyle could feel his face turning red. "I don't think anyway."

"I don't think I want your aunt to know when we start doing... stuff." Wait! Since when had they decided they would do stuff? Kyle wasn't sure about sex yet. Maybe jacking off with another boy would be ok. All he knew was that he really liked boys. Sex, up until now, had been a vague idea.

"You really want to do stuff with me?" Jason asked, again sounding surprised.

"Well, yes. Eventually. I've never really thought about that. I mean, well, I have but it always seemed like such a far away thing. You know?" Kyle tried to explain. Sex had been the last thing on his mind whenever he'd thought about the word boyfriend. Well, it had been there; but it was just so vague.

"I guess. I'd never really thought about anyone, till I met you. I've never felt like this about anyone. Boys or girls." Jason said quietly.

Oh no. Kyle had read about this. What if Jason was just bi-curious, and then went with girls? Kyle couldn't handle that if he lost his first boyfriend to a girl. Wait. He hadn't even asked him yet.

"Oh. Well, do you want to um... be... my boyfriend?" Kyle asked, putting his heart on the line. If Jason said no, he wouldn't know what he'd do.

"YES! I do... but there's so much you don't know..."Jason said with a sigh. So much? Nothing Jason could say would change how Kyle felt about him.

"Fuck, I like you. Nothing can change that. Unless you like, eat babies or something..." Kyle laughed.

"No, you dork," Jason giggled back, his body shaking against Kyle's. "But it really is hard to talk about. I promise to tell you... just ... not now," Jason explained. That would have to do. It wasn't like Kyle didn't have his own secrets. Oh shit. How was he going to tell Jason about the powers? Should he even do that? He didn't want Jason to worry about him. And what if it did more bad than good?

"I think everybody has stuff they keep private. Just some people have more stuff than others," Kyle replied, trailing his hand along Jason's wrist. "So what happened here?" Kyle asked, wanting to change the subject.

"It's part of it..." Jason replied. What? Did someone hurt Jason?

"Did someone hurt you? If they did..."

Jason was suddenly afraid. He couldn't explain why, but there was an instant there where he felt that Kyle would have literally killed for him. Jason didn't want anything like that to happen.

"Kyle... calm down. Please?" Jason asked gently, looking into Kyle's eyes. They were so deep, and so blue; ocean blue eyes, that he could swim in. Eyes that, for a second, were cold as ice. "My arms... I did it myself." Jason explained.

"Oh. That must have been a bad accident," Kyle said, sounding normal again. Should he just let Kyle assume that it was an accident? Jason didn't' want to lie... but he'd have to tell Kyle someday.

"Well. It was... on purpose," Jason corrected, listening to Kyle's heart beat slow down.

"You did something on purpose, and it did that?" Kyle asked, still gently tracing Jason's wrists. Jason loved being held like this; it made it easier to explain. And it was nice to feel someone's skin on his wrist. Jason didn't think he'd ever get to feel that.

"No... I mean... I cut my arms...," he said quietly, tears beginning to build up.

"Why? Doesn't it hurt?" Kyle asked, sounding very confused.

"Yes. It helped... block other things. Mental pain... it helps create focus when there is too much in my head," Jason tried to explain. It was hard. How do you explain that the pain is a welcoming release from reality?

"I'm so sorry," Kyle said, running his hands up and down Jason's back. "You don't have to explain anymore if you don't want to." Jason was relieved. He didn't want to explain anymore...not now. How was Kyle so good at reading him?

"Thanks. Can we just... stay here like this?" Jason asked. He didn't want to let Kyle go; not now, not ever. He just wanted to be with him.

"Yes."

Kyle felt complete and whole as he pedaled home. He felt as if he'd found something he'd been looking for forever. And it had felt good. Just to lay there with Jason cuddled up under his chin. He'd felt better about everything than he'd had in a long time. Kyle was pretty sure this was love; feeling complete, whole, and happy.

The only thing that was a thorn in his side was the fact that Jason wasn't quite sure if he was gay yet. If he was bi, that would be ok. But Kyle didn't want to lose him because of curiosity. Kyle had read a ton of stuff online about being gay, bi, and all of that. Lots of boys went through a curious stage, and then found girls. Kyle didn't want to lose Jason like that.

Kyle walked into his house, thinking he really needed to figure out a way to tell his family, and Jason, that he was that super kid on TV. From the start, he'd decided that he wasn't going to be stupid like the heroes in comics about stuff. But now he understood how hard it was to tell someone; especially those closest to you.

Kyle got on his computer, thinking he'd see what the net was saying about him. And he still needed a name for himself. Kyle clicked on his bookmarked pages, looking for more name suggestions. One of them had come to a voter conclusion that he should name himself Blue rush.

Blue rush? It sounded ok. The voters had liked it. Maybe he could change it a bit.

Kyle shook his head. Too many things going on!! And he still had homework. Kyle made a mental list of what he had going on. Super hero name. How do I feel about Jason? Homework. And what was up with that dream last night? The recurring dream with the field? If he could get some answers to some of them he'd be ok.

The feelings of comfort and peace were being washed away by confusion as he tried to organize his thoughts. Maybe if he wrote them down it would help. Kyle opened a text document and began writing:

  1. Super name.

  2. How do I feel about Jason?

  3. What the hell is up with this dream?

  4. How do I tell him I'm...?

  5. How do I tell them I'm....?

Knock, knock.

"Come in," Kyle said, staring at his list. It was short, yet it was so complicated.

"Hey, son." It was his dad; finally home from his latest business meeting. Kyle knew his father was busy; he had a lot of work to do. That's why Kyle had his own computer, high speed internet, and all the other cool things he had. But he was never around. That was another thing to add to his suddenly growing list of things.

"Hi, Dad," Kyle replied, closing his text file.

"Whatcha workin' on?" his father asked, rubbing Kyle on the shoulder.

"Just some thoughts, and cruising the internet. You've seen all the super hero stuff about that kid right?" Kyle asked.

"Yes. It's very amazing. But I want to know about you. You're my son; not that super kid on TV." That was touching. Kyle felt a little better about his father. But, if he only knew.

"So what if I was?" Kyle joked. Or at least tried to sound like he was joking.

"I'd say you were a chip off the old block," his father replied, ruffling his hair. Yep, that was his dad.

"Whatever, Dad." Kyle laughed.

"So what is going on with you? Your mother mentioned you made a new friend."

"Yeah. His name is Jason." and I think I'm in love, he added in his head. "He's reallymcool." Jason was the coolest, hottest boy he'd ever met. Kyle wasn't sure if he could put into words how much he felt for Jason.

"Great. Let's go to dinner before your mom yells at us," his dad said.

"I'm in love," Jason said to his aunt after Kyle had left.

"Don't get too hasty, dear. You have lots of time to find a boy," she suggested, but Jason didn't care. Jason didn't care if he was gay or not; he just wanted to be with Kyle, now and forever.

"What's wrong with Kyle?" Jason asked. Why did she have a problem with Kyle?

"Oh, nothing, but I've been in relationships before and, while at the time they seem perfect, things can come up. That's all I'm saying, dear," she said, while still reading the newspaper. "Oh, I swear. Everything in the news is about that super kid, or something that might be affected by him," she said after a while, and threw the newspaper down.

What was wrong with that? Jason liked being interested in the news. "Can I have that newspaper?" he asked gently. "I'm collecting stuff on that super kid. Maybe I can sell it for money when I'm old." He giggled. Being in love really changed how you felt about things.

"Sure thing dear. Now do you and Kyle need anything?" she asked.

"No. He said he'd never done anything with a boy, and I'm clean, so we'll be ok," Jason said confidently. Kyle didn't' even want to have sex yet.

"Well, he might be trying to get into your good graces," Shannon said thoughtfully. Jason knew that she meant well; but he was starting to get a little irritated by her saying that Kyle was some evil guy that would dump him.

"He doesn't even want to have sex yet!! Why do you have to assume the worst? HE"S GAY!! He's not some normal jerk guy that you seem to hate!" Jason yelled, then ran up to his bedroom and slammed the door.

Jason found himself crying on the bed; this time for his friend Kyle, rather than for himself or being confused. This time he knew exactly why he was crying, and why he was angry. Stupid aunt. Just cuz she hates guys, doesn't mean that she has to take it out on Jason's new friend. Kyle was the best thing that had happened to him in a long time; a very long time.

"Jason," she said at the door, knocking gently.

"Go away. You just want to make me feel depressed and dump him."

"No dear, it's just that... I care. Maybe I'm just being too pragmatic, but I just wanted to open your eyes... and its tougher when your gay."

"Gay? I don't know what I am!! I just know that Kyle makes me feel good. I feel better about everything with him!! I don't know if I'm gay or not. I don't look at girls or guys... but Kyle makes me feel special!! So if that makes me gay, I guess I am," he sniffed.

"Oh honey; I'm sorry. It's been a long time since I was 14. It's ok if you haven't figured out who you are yet; it will come with time," she said, sitting on the foot of his bed. "I'm sorry for suggesting that Kyle was just using you."

"It's ok. I know you just wanted to help," Jason said. But he

was still angry.

"Thank you, dear," she replied as she got up and left. Jason sighed as she left his room, wishing that she'd try to understand more. Just cuz she'd gotten hurt by a guy didn't mean all guys were bad. At least she didn't take it out on him. And she was nice enough to let him and his mother stay here until his mom could get on her feet again.

Jason was somewhat glad they were here. His mother really hadn't talked to Shannon before everything had happened, but now they were living together. They were actually getting along. And it was nice having an aunt that tried to understand him, instead of just assuming she knew what was going on in his head.

Rolling over to stretch, Jason noticed his book bag and sighed.

Guessed he'd better get on his homework.

Kyle was on his computer, hoping to find one of his computer friends on line. his messenger binged him with an im.

Paladin119 says: Hiya Kyle

It was Pally!! His online friend. Great guy, but a little dramatic with his writing.

Paladin119 says: What's up? Kyelrogue says: Oh hi!! Kyelrogue says: DUDE!!! Kyelrogue says: I met this cute kid last Friday Kyelrogue says: And he came over... Kyelrogue says: And then stuff happened, and then we went to an air show... and now he's my boyfriend!! Paladin119 says: I see Paladin119 says: A lot of stuff must have happened, lol Kyelrogue says: Yeah. But I feel bad Kyelrogue says: I have like this REALLY big secret, and I want to tell him

Oh how Kyle wanted to tell him, but how? Maybe Pally would know. Pally was usually good with his advice.

Kyelrogue says: He's been working up to tell me stuff about him. Paladin119 says: Well why don't you two trade secrets then? Paladin119 says: Might make it easier Kyelrogue says: Well mine is probably the biggest secret EVER Paladin119 says: Most secrets are... or they wouldn't be secrets Kyelrogue says:

:P Paladin119 says: Its all about how much you trust someone Paladin119 says: Its really up to you

Trust? Kyle? Oh no. He hadn't even thought of that. Trust was always a big thing with relationships. Where had he heard that? Anyway, Kyle trusted Jason. It was just... he didn't know how to tell him. And didn't want him to worry.

Kyelrogue says: Well, its just that... Kyelrogue says: This is BIG. really big. Kyelrogue says: I love him... Paladin119 says: Does he love you?

Kyle had to think about that for a moment. Did Jason love him? He was pretty sure it was a yes, but a small part of him was afraid that it wasn't true.

Kyelrogue says: Yes Paladin119 says: That's great Kyelrogue says: We snuggled!! Paladin119 says: Okay... is this secret anything bad or negative in any way? Kyelrogue says: Since you're far away... I guess I can tell you Paladin119 says: If you want Kyelrogue says: You probably won't believe me Paladin119 says: I might... you never know Kyelrogue says: You're right. Kyelrogue says: I'm that kid on TV. Paladin119 says: There's a lot of kids on TV Kyelrogue says: I'm THAT kid on TV Paladin119 says: Oh no.... not the kid that got arrested for that double bank robbery.... Kyelrogue says: No Paladin119 says: That was terrible! Kyelrogue says: If I was arrested... how could I be talking to you? Kyelrogue says: I used my one call at the police station to dial up my internet Kyelrogue says: And check my email... and write some stuff etc Kyelrogue says: rolls eyes Paladin119 says: Well... they did let him go with one of those anklet bracelets... until the could determine sentencing... he's only 14 or so after all Kyelrogue says: Wow. Kyelrogue says: Anyway... I'm not him. Kyelrogue says: I'm THE kid on TV Paladin119 says: You should go talk to him... lol Paladin119 says: That is one thing super heroes are good at right? Kyelrogue says: Talk to who? Paladin119 says: Putting hardened criminals back on the straight and narrow. lol Paladin119 says: The teen that robbed the bank of course Kyelrogue says: Oh!! I thought you wanted me to just tell my boyfriend Paladin119 says: Or banks rather... Paladin119 says: And you should do that too Paladin119 says: When the time is right Kyelrogue says: If you had super powers would you tell your boyfriend? Kyelrogue says: When is the time going to be right? Paladin119 says: If I thought it was time... of course Paladin119 says: There shouldn't be secrets between true lovers Kyelrogue says: Damn Kyelrogue says: You're right Paladin119 says: You will know when it is right Kyelrogue says: I hope so Kyelrogue says: So you really believe me? Kyelrogue says: You're like the second internet friend I've told

Kyle couldn't help but think that Pally was just being supportive.

Paladin119 says: You could be him... I don't doubt that... as for believing you are 100%... I'm not sure I could ever put that much belief into anything Kyelrogue says: Oh... I don't blame you. Kyelrogue says: Thanks for being honest.and nice Paladin119 says: Anytime super boy lol Kyelrogue says: Hey... where is that kid staying?

Kyle just had the thought that he should actually go talk to that kid. Why would a 14 yr old rob two banks? And he could prove to Pally that he was actually telling the truth.

Paladin119 says: Hmm.... i think it happened somewhere in California Kyelrogue says: Did it say why? Paladin119 says: I'm sure there's articles online about it.... not everything's about the super kid after all Kyelrogue says: Some help you are Kyelrogue says: Well, I'm going to show you!! Kyelrogue says: It really IS me Paladin119 says: I'd be glad if you could Kyelrogue says: Really? Paladin119 says: There's a lot of people out there that need help Kyelrogue says: I know that Kyelrogue says: But I don't have time. Paladin119 says: And not always from immediate danger.... Kyelrogue says: I wish I could do more Kyelrogue says: But I only know what happens when it's on the news or internet Kyelrogue says: I don't have super hearing Paladin119 says: Well your super powers probably don't entail splitting yourself into a dozen super guys right? Kyelrogue says:

:( Paladin119 says: So don't worry about it Kyle Paladin119 says: You can only do as much as you can Paladin119 says: Which is a great deal more than most of us can do. Kyelrogue says: Well I'm off then. Paladin119 says: Ok... don't feel guilty about stuff Kyle Kyelrogue says: Wait Paladin119 says: Things happen for a reason Kyelrogue says: I know Kyelrogue says: But I have to find where this kid is Paladin119 says: Just do the best you can Kyelrogue says: Thanks Paladin119 says: And leave it at that Paladin119 says: Be careful Kyelrogue says: Of?? Paladin119 says: You're not invincible Kyelrogue says: Um Kyelrogue says: ... Kyelrogue says: I TOOK THE HEAT FROM REENTRY!!! Kyelrogue says: THE SHUTTLE WAS GOIING MACH 27!! Paladin119 says: That's nice Paladin119 says: Could you take the heat from the sun itself? Kyelrogue says: Um Paladin119 says: Don't get overconfident Kyelrogue says: I haven't tried that Kyelrogue says: But I think I can deal with . . . Paladin119 says: I wouldn't advise it Kyelrogue says: One kid Paladin119 says: True...I'd think so too Paladin119 says: But be careful anyway! Lol Kyelrogue says: Ok Paladin119 says: Doesn't hurt you know Kyelrogue says: Yeah.

Kyle began to search, figuring if pally had found it, he could find it pretty easy. And there it was on the msn news page. Why would a boy do that? steal a car and rob two banks?

Kyelrogue says: I found him Kyelrogue says: So I'm going now Paladin119 says: Ok Paladin119 says: Good luck Kyelrogue says: Yeah... shouldn't be hard Kyelrogue says: There are protesters outside his house right now Kyelrogue says: Jerks Paladin119 says: Be nice Paladin119 says: Let me know how it goes huh? Kyelrogue says: You just watch me Kyelrogue says: They have a camera crew

Well, it looked like Kyle was busy again.

Thanks to everybody for putting up with me!! Sorry again about getting Kyle and Jason mixed up. Thanks to Pally for helping me with that conversation... and the inspiration for this next chapter!! thanks to my new fans. I wish I could remember your names but I dont.
