Arrival Day
"Dr. Weir to Control.Colonel Sheppard to the Control room." A panicked voice came over their headsets.
"This is Weir report." Elizabeth said as she activated her headset.
"Ma'am Long range sensors are picking up ships of unknown type arriving in system." The watch officer reported.
"Are they Wraith ships?" Weir asked wanting clarification.
"No Ma'am we are not sure what type they are, they are not in our data base or the Atlantis mainframe." The watch officer answered.
John Sheppard who had been listening in asked. "What do you mean by arrived, shouldn't we have picked them up before they made it in system?"
"That's the thing Sir, one minute space was empty next the system monitors were beeping in warning as the ships appeared as if from thin air." The confused officer reported.
Running up the steps towards the control area Elizabeth asked. "What are these ships doing?"
"That's the thing they seemed to be making way to the edge of the system, briefly circling each planet as they pass it." The officer turned and told her as she made it into the room.
"Rodney?" Elizabeth started to ask catching sight of him moving frantically between computers.
"Don't ask me I just got here, ask him he knows more of what's going on then I do." Rodney pointed towards the watch officer upset he had to leave his dinner.
John Sheppard followed by Teyla made their way in to the control room in time to see an image of one of the ships in question as it moved away from the now defunct weapons platform.
"Teyla, do you recognize them?" John asked as he made his way over to stand next to Elizabeth.
"I have never seen their like before." Teyla answered just as another of the proximity alarms sounded and the screen shifted to show a vessel that clearly dwarfed the others appear mid system.
Before anyone had a chance to say anything the ship in question rapidly took off towards the edge of the system.
"What's that all about?" John said to no one in particular as he watched the rapidly accelerating ship.
Right about then Atlantis started to die.
All the systems started powering down one after another.
"Rodney do something." Elizabeth yelled as the lights went off followed by the system mainframe.
"It's not me." Rodney muttered in denial hoping to shift blame to anyone else.
Then loudly he said. "It's Atlantis itself, it's shutting down all power relays and systems, even thought there is power coming from the generators."
"Well fix it." John shouted annoyed.
"I can't." Pushing one of the techs sitting in front of the laptop out of the way, Rodney tried typing in overrides, too late as the mainframe shut down completely.
"It's gone." Rodney practically screamed in frustration. "The main frame shut down and there is nothing I can do to restart it."
"John." Elizabeth Weir started worriedly.
John looked about for an idea. "The puddle jumpers, at least we can get one in the air to see what is going on."
"Do it." Weir ordered.
Clicking his headset on, he ordered some of his men to the hanger bay to take out one of the puddle jumpers, and to send back verbal reports of what was happening.
A few minutes later they all heard over their headsets. "Sorry Sir there is no power to the controls."
"Shit, why is this happening?" Rodney swore as he started to turn, looking at each of the dead stations.
"Dial the gate." Elizabeth ordered as she moved around the back of the console towards the front of the room. "Doesn't matter where just get a wormhole open."
The technician at the gate console tried pressing the keys to dial out, but they were unlit and no power was going to the system. "Sorry the gate has shut down also."
Hearing that John motioned for two of his team to guard the door while the rest of them were to follow him to prepare for invasion in case those ships were hostile, hostile he thought, the city going dead like this, sure sounded hostile to him.
XXXX
Harry willed his chair to the upright position and took a good look at the world below, their new home.
'Aloria how quickly could you power up weapons again if needed?' Harry asked through their mental link.
'Very quickly, fifty seconds at most.' Aloria answered.
Standing up Harry released some of his control, ordering the weapon systems to shut down.
Moving to the edge of the railing Harry watched all the command staff cheering and patting themselves on the back for a minute, before saying. "Shift Complete. All crews stand down to station keeping. Let the fun begin."
Glow disappearing as Harry let go of his core, he walked over to where Bryce was sitting and sat down next to him on the stairs.
Picking up another of the high calorie drinks that appeared beside him courtesy of an ever watchful Aloria, he took a drink before saying. "Well all that work and in a blink of the eye here we are So were you bored silly sitting here watching everyone work and not much going on?" Harry asked sitting down on the top step.
Bryce stared at the world through the windows, he remembered seeing pictures of this system in his history modules, never believing he would ever see it. "It looks different in person." Moving out of the chair and scooting over next to Harry, Bryce grabbed on wanting comfort. "I remember learning about this place in history. It is so different than I remember."
Pulling his fosterling into a hug so he could offer some comfort while Bryce was lost in his memories, Harry watched as several shuttles with security forces intent on recon launched and headed towards the planet.
Noticing Tonks and several others gathering near the arrival area, Harry gave Bryce a squeeze and said." Come on let's go down to where I normally set up and watch all the fun."
Arm across Bryce's shoulder as he pulled him in close, the two made their way down the steps towards the embarkation deck, stopping every so often to talk to those manning the stations, they were barely doing their jobs in their excitement.
Finally making their way past the gate console and up to Harry's work platform they sat down and Harry started to activate the displays while Bryce tapped away at one of the panels also. Curious at what Bryce was doing, he looked over to see that he was pulling up information on Lantea from the data base uploaded from the Cyrorar, and was comparing the pictures of the past he remembered to what he was seeing now. "Are you alright?" Harry asked with some concern.
Bryce looked up at Harry and nodded his head. "Just remembering things." Sad, but not overly so he replied.
Looking at the sad teen, Harry touched his core briefly and using his will widened the chair enough so two could sit comfortably. "Come here." Harry motioned to Bryce to sit next to him, sharing his chair.
Brightening somewhat, Bryce jumped from his chair and scrunched up next to Harry, leaning his head against his arm as he watched what was going on.
As Harry set about having the displays reveal real time data of the forces deployed in the system, his advisors and department heads made their way to the work platform and logged into the stations in front of them, better able to report to Harry what was happening in their departments this way. Trying his best to comfort Bryce and at the same time pay attention, Harry started to watch the different Holo display as information scrolled through them.
Jack slotting his data pad into the table and activating his station looked over at Harry, and saw Bryce snuggled up next to him not looking that happy. Catching Harry's eye he motioned his head towards Bryce and raised an eyebrow in a questioning manner.
Seeing Harry mouth back memories he nodded his head in understanding before catching up with what his people were doing.
"Confirmation from Atlantis main frame that the systems have been shut down and receiving complete data dump to protected files." Aloria stated.
"How long has Atlantis been shut down?" Harry asked looking over the Holo reports.
"I sent the shut down command fifteen minutes ago." Aloria replied.
"Atlantis control will be re-routed to Toria Ai Shas and complete in thirty minutes and power up will proceed as planned." Kevin told the group as he sat down and logged in.
"And the link to Transfer Stations on Atlantis and Shas?" Harry looked up from the reports he was scanning.
"It will take a little longer as the feeds I am getting show that the systems have suffered what looks like salt water damage and will need to be repaired. On top of that their power source has failed completely and it is only by some foreign power source spliced into the network that they have partial system control." Kevin answered then frowned at what he was seeing on his display. "Were going to need a good two weeks of work just to prep for the new power feed to be installed and that does not even count the time needed to re build the power centers to handle singularity generators." he told the group.
"Also by what I am seeing in the system repair logs, quite a few of the systems have been damaged, and not all from water damage either." Kevin threw up a Holo of Atlantis in the center display showing massive areas blinking in red.
Harry narrowed his eyes in thought as he studied the Holo, what the hell was keeping the city afloat he thought. "How long until she sinks without power being restored?"
Kevin looked at the damage control feeds reporting their priority messages for repair before answering. "Two possibly three hours, then she will start listing and she will rapidly go down."
"So we have a little bit of time to plan then." Harry looked around the table to his team.
"Neville, what's got you brassed off over there?" Harry wondered catching the look on Neville's face.
"Well none of the greenhouses or farms have been accessed yet." Neville told them without looking up. "But from what I am reading it is a good thing they haven't as most of what has survived is nastily lethal. I have no idea how to be sure to get rid of it all, so they can be restarted with fresh materials." Neville frowned as he read more of the information scrolling on his display, his thoughts turning his expression angry once again.
"Can't we just bring it into deep space and expose the interior to vacuum thus killing everything inside." Vlad asked as he took his seat.
"Well she doesn't have the power right now to make orbit, let alone even bring up her weather shields." Kevin changed the display so they could see the power generation map.
"Who knows what type of hazards are running around that city!" Tanaka told them, he too looking through data on what the science labs held. Activating the center display so everyone could see. "It looks like near the end, they turned Atlantis into one big weapons generation facility, each scientist trying to out do their comrades in how lethal they could make the next biological monstrosity." Tanaka said in disgust.
Seeing Minerva walk onto the platform and take up a seat Harry asked. "How are the kids?"
Sighing she replied. "Excited and bouncing off the walls. We had to set the older students to help keep the younger ones occupied."
Bryce decided that maybe he would go help out, while not exactly boring, what was happening now gave him to much time to think.
"I am going to go help out." Feeling pretty useless right now and wanting a distraction Bryce added while smirking. "After all there is no end to the trouble Cadfael can cause when he is hyper." A quick hug and a whispered "be back for dinner" Bryce waved goodbye to those he knew and jumped down the stairs and made his way to the TS set up by the arrival med bay.
"Is he ok?" Jack had waited until Bryce was out of earshot before asking.
Sighing Harry answered. "He will be, I think it was too much of a shock seeing Lantea now and trying to equate it with his memories of how this world used to be."
"I know what he is feeling." Lantera said as she sat down. "I think all of us old timers will be having the same problems for the next couple of days. I know it is going to be hard to visit the capital city and see the street I grew up on deserted."
"That's true." Harry said as he looked down the table to where she was sitting. "And the rest of us will do what we can to help too."
Frowning Jack listened in to the reports coming back from the scout pilots and the shuttle crews that were making their way towards the capital city. Turning the sound up Jack told the scout pilot. "Unicorn Seven repeat that."
"Unicorn Seven, I repeat I am over the coordinates of where the capital buildings are supposed to be. There is nothing here but a large lake. I repeat there is nothing but a lake here." The feminine voice told them.
Lantera sucked in a deep breath as she heard the report, while not expecting a pristine city she had hoped that at least some of it and survived.
While Agatha comforted the distraught woman, Harry asked Aloria though the link. 'Does the scout pilot have the right spot?'
Sorrow laced Aloria's voice as she replied. 'Yes and deep scans indicate no surviving structures or evidence of missile damage,'
"We had hoped for more, but it looks like it was not meant to be." Harry told them sadly. "Let's go with the secondary plan and have the scouts look for a new building site, and send the shuttles and crews to Atlantis for the initial assessments."
"We might want to send down some security folks to, looks like there is some one living there right now." Augusta told them as she indicated the system activity reports for TS usage.
"Might be a good idea, we can send them down through the gate along with a bunch of the remotes to start modifications to the systems, at least enough modifications so we can get power up and running again." Powaqa suggested.
Turning his chair to face the gate console Harry opened the com channel and surprising the man. "Steven have you been able to get a signal back from the Atlantis gate?"
"Yes, Lord Commander, I just finished going over the diagnostic report and upgrade proposal a few minutes ago." Steven jumped at the sound of Harry's voice coming from the com unit.
Smiling sheepishly he turned to look over to Harry's workstation and saw that he was looking his way. "This Astria seems to be a nexus, and while it is of a more advanced design than any that we have contacted so far, it will still need to be upgraded, though I think we can do it in a couple of hours easily if we don't need it to act as a nexus."
"Seeing as Toria Ai Shas is in orbit, I would think that it would not be needed. We can take our time planning, the upgrades to occur at a later date or just leave well enough alone." Harry shrugged, "Thanks Steven, looks like we are going to be sending a few people down shortly." he both thanked him and warned him.
Turning back to the table Harry told Jack. "Get several teams of internal security together to ride herd on the techs and remotes." Thinking about an easy way to travel back and forth until the systems were online and working at full power, Harry remembered the columns that he had keyed to work as mini transfer stations for those who touched them, they were used pretty successfully for the evacuation of Earth. "Might want to have Tonks carry down a remote TS column, that way we can at least have a secure way of moving back and forth to Atlantis."
As they planned Kevin sent for a remote transfer station to be brought up and directed a hundred of his search and repair remotes to make their way to the embarkation room.
"Aloria how long will it take for you to establish complete control of Atlantis systems once they power up?" Harry asked out loud as he watched the group of security people gather near the Astria.
"A minute, possibly a minute and a half once the new control crystals have been inserted." Aloria responded.
"Once you have complete control I want all sectors locked down and battle shields erected to all sections deemed deadly." Harry ordered, still looking at the blueprints of Atlantis from the archives.
"One small problem, they never did install Battle shields on Atlantis, it's on the blueprints, but according to the dump, they re not there." Aloria apologized to Harry.
"That's not good." Neville said looking up from his display with concern. "I was counting on those shields to keep the doors to those bizarre death traps closed until we could deal with them."
"What if we enchant some shields and tied them into a secondary power source, we could at least lock out everything but the central hub, and if we travel back and forth by TS it should be at least a little safer." Jack offered another way as he looked over his display with the blueprints of Atlantis as he zoomed in at out over the plans, tracing the best places to erect shields.
Leaning back in his chair Harry thought about it. "That might work at least for the short term." Sitting back up Harry said. "Alright it will work for now. Tonks you have a go, secure the area around the Astria and guard the techs as they do a system restart on the main frame." Harry stood as he gave her those orders, facing the group by the Astria. "Be prepared for trouble, it looks like there might be some people on board Atlantis from some of the readings, we do not know who or what they are so be careful."
Waving at Harry that she heard and understood, she yelled out in her best drill instructor voice. "All right you lot you heard the boss, the sooner we get this done the sooner we get to go back to snogging our other halves."
Shaking his head at Tonks antics and choice of a pep speach. "Establish a connection, let's send them through." Harry told Steven.
Connecting the matter stream with the Atlantis Astria, Steven made sure the matter stream was stable before calling out to the group waiting. "Connected you are good to go."
XXXX
Down below in the Atlantis control Room Elizabeth Weir was getting frustrated, nothing they did worked. The power was still being produced by the Naquadah generators, they just could not get it to any of the systems. And when they did the systems refused to accept the power. Getting reports of strange ships flying over the city on the way to the mainland worried her, the only thing she knew for a fact was that they were not Wraith ships and they were evidently advanced, and she hoped peaceful. Stepping out on the balcony that jutted out over the gate room she noticed the lights flicker around the gate, just like it did when."John we have an incoming wormhole." Elizabeth yelled over the headset.
"On my way." John replied as he turned around and ran back towards the gate room halfway to the armory.
What else could go wrong now she thought as the wormhole flickered into existence and settled down into the normal watery looking event horizon, she watched as several people walked out of the star gate and start to scan the area while others that came out next were carrying cases and moved to the side as they looked around Another two looked to be controlling some type of marble column, that they some how floated between them and set it down near the front windows before she heard a sound that made her heart freeze.
It sounded like replicators.
Watching in horror she saw a steady stream of all black replicators crawl over the top ring above the heads of those coming through the gate and down the sides moving off to who knew where. "John replicators..." Elizabeth breathed out in fright over the headset.
John put more effort into getting to the gate room as he heard the sounds of his men opening fire without being ordered to do so.
Lira who was one of the repair officers from the rescued cruiser Selaes stepped into Atlantis and looked around taking in the architecture and noticing that this section at least appeared in decent shape.
Moving aside so that the others could get by her she noticed what looked like a uniformed female standing on the jetty. "Looks like we have company." Lira pointed out to her companions, just as some of those in uniform on this level pointed what looked like weapons in their direction and opened fire at the remotes coming through the gate.
Lira screamed in pain as something nicked her shoulder dropping her to the floor bleeding from the wound, just as Tonks and the rest of the security forces walked through the gate.
Tonks did not expect to walk into a war zone as she walked out of the gate. Throwing up a shield in front of her she quickly took stock of the people on the ground and released a couple of the twin's surprises from her belt. Banishing a couple of the twin's portable swamps into the group of kneeling soldiers who were firing at them, it quickly put an end to the projectiles being fired off. "What the bloody hell is going on here." Tonks yelled at the top of her lungs seeing people dressed in the same type of uniform as the SGC people that had visited the city for negotiations.
Seeing some of the people get hit by the bullets and actually start to bleed Elizabeth started to yell. "Stand down.Do not Fire.Hold your fire." Then seeing the familiar uniforms on some of the people walking out of the gate, Elizabeth cussed out loud as she yelled for her people to listen to her and stop firing.
Flipping open her com and activating the fold space transceiver Tonks yelled. "Harry, we are under attack. We have wounded, they are using some type of projectile weapons."
XXXX
"Helps on the way Tonks." Harry told her as he instantly started to glow as he merged with his core.
"Prepare to receive wounded.Security teams to the embarkation deck." Harry ordered over the command channel, not broadcasting it city wide. Not wanting to mar the excitement everyone was feeling seeing their new home. Looking over to where Jack was now standing, Harry nodded his head, not about to hold him back from what he felt like he had to do, he wasn't that big of a hypocrite, He said. "Do what you have to, but I want that place secured. Be safe." Harry said loud enough for Jack to hear as he passed his chair. Placing his hand on the link panel Harry directed one of the remotes with visual sensors to play back what was happening on Atlantis.
XXXX
Tapping into their magical cores and starting to glow softly Tonks and the other security officers started to summon the weapons from the trapped soldiers hands, and placed them in a pile off to one side for later disposal. Hands moving around fast and furious, uniformed soldiers ended up disarmed and bound as they were thrown to one side for later interrogation.
Sheppard followed by Teyla and Ronon made their way into the gate room just as his men were being pulled out of what looked like swamps and bound in glowing ropes, before being piled over at one end. All this happened without them being touched by those standing in front of the gate and they were only moving their arms.
Tonks seeing more soldiers entering the area sent the counter charm at the portable swamps, causing them to dispel. "Seal those doors." Tonks ordered, motioning towards the doors as she made her way towards the steps.
Jack followed by several squads of his ground forces and a cadre of Goblins and a group of healers ran out of the gate in time to see Tonks stalking the people up in the control room, binding them as she passed without stopping. "Well shit." Jack cussed out loud as he looked around and noticed that for the most part all the action was over with and there really was nothing to do. Seeing that the injured were being tended to and those more seriously wounded moved over to the remote transport column Jack pulled his fold space com off of his belt. Jack watched Tonks levitate her prisoners down from the control room and dump them with the others before he reported back to Harry. "Lord Commander the area is secure."
"Tonks had everything under control by the time we exited the Astria, we have the passageways sealed and I will leave the channel open as I interrogate the prisoners." Jack informed Harry. Walking over towards the group of bound prisoners Jack noticed one of the remotes was following him, more than likely transmitting back up to Harry everything that was going on. Close enough to see that half of those bound also had duct tape covering their mouth, Jack shook his head and muttered how he was going to have a long talk with the older version as soon as he saw him again.
Seeing a patch of an American flag on the shoulder of several of the prisoners and a few other countries he was familiar with Jack swore as he switched to Alteran and yelled out. "Shit.Stand down, their Earthers. What a cluster fuck. Why the hell haven't the folks from the SGC mentioned they had people here.It would have avoided a lot of suffering." Jack grumbled under his breath as he paced back and forth before the prisoners, stopping every so often to check a uniform for a name.
Lantera who had followed Jack through the gate with a med team walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder stopping his muttering. When he turned to face her she said. "Jack, frightening them needlessly is pointless."
Staring at her for a second Jack blinked before smirking. "Your right, if I am going to frighten them it should be on purpose."
Sighing she turned away muttering about blood thirsty security officers.
"What was the extent of the injuries?" Jack asked before she got to far away.
"Only two need more than a quick healing charm and they have already been sent back. It looks like most of the damage was done by ricochets off of the remotes shields." Lantera told him as she moved off to return by the remote transfer point.
Sensing Tonks walking over Jack turned. "Would you separate out the ones that did the actual shooting from the others, and take the shooters.Well shit we don't have a place to put prisoners do we."
Wanting to laugh at his expression Tonks held it in for a moment then thought what the hell, and started laughing. "Are you magical or not."
Walking over to the piled weapons she started to transmute them into cages placed against the wall nearest the steps, out of the way, and motioned for her team to start moving the prisoners into them.
Grinning sheepishly Jack turned his attention back to those sitting bound on the floor. "Who is the leader here?" He asked in English as he looked them over.
"I am." Came a voice off to one side by a short haired woman. "Dr. Elizabeth Weir, leader of the Atlantis expedition."
Waving his hand at her, Jack dispelled her bonds and motioned for her to stand.
"Thank you." Elizabeth said as she rubbed her arms to get the circulation going again.
Harry's voice came from Jacks belt. "Tell me Dr. Weir, with thirty days left until your government, with our help, establishes your first off world colony, why you would endanger your acceptance into the Alliance of Great Races by attacking our people."
Elizabeth paled as soon as she head that voice coming from the young mans belt that was standing in front of her. The President was going to kill her she thought. Looking down at John who had crawled his way over to her when they first had been dropped in the pile, literally, she saw he was pale as he too recognized the voice. Both of them looked at each other before looking back over their shoulder towards a bound and duct taped Rodney McKay. Turning back Elizabeth stammered for a second before she got out. "It was a mistake, my men were not aiming at you but the replicators that followed your people out of the gate."
John who was staring at the replicators that were still in the area, and they looked like they were taking the gate apart spoke out. "We have not had the best of luck with replicators and did not know you had tame ones."
"Replicators, why would you call the remotes." Kevin said as he walked over from the remote TS having just arrived, then stopped as he put the pieces together. "NO.Tell me they were not so foolish to pervert the Astromechs." Looking form the prisoners still on the floor back to Jack. "Please tell me they didn't do the unthinkable."
Jack nodded his head not wanting to say any more than that, evidently Kevin had thought the Ancients in the Pegasus galaxy would be different.
"We should just send this whole abomination into the sun and be done with it." Kevin spat out angrily as he walked over to his techs to supervise the system restart.
Tilting his head Jack watched the Maintenance engineer walk up the steps muttering the whole way. "As leader of your people Dr. Weir, will you give us your parole?" he asked before turning back to face her.
"What's that mean exactly, I want to be sure we understand the terms so there is not any further misunderstandings." Elizabeth said slowly as she looked around at her bound command staff.
"No terms, you will not interfere with any Alteran personal as they inspect and initiate repairs to the Atlantis command systems, we need to know the full extant of the damage to Atlantis if we are to make a determination on whether or not it would be wise to repair the city or as Kevin so vocally wishes, destroy it." Harry told her through the communicator.
Looking over at the soldiers that had been placed in the cages Elizabeth pointed at them before asking. "What about them."
"They stay right were they are, until we have determined appropriate punishment." Jack told her coldly.
Not liking the sound of that but knowing they were no match for their powers, she nodded her head. Raising her hand towards her headset, she stopped mid move when the woman with the hair that kept changing colors pierced her with her gaze. "I am just going to contact everyone and tell them what is going on, if that is alright with you." Elizabeth said eyes never leaving the face of the woman that had so easily taken them captive.
Tapping the side of her headset she started to explain to her crew. "This is Weir. Currently Alteran's are moving about Atlantis, These people are the ancients that built this city. If they approach you be courteous and helpful, do not interfere in their work as they start to make repairs and inspect the city Weir out."
"Is that good enough?" Elizabeth asked eyes still on Tonks.
"It will do for now." Jack told her as he walked away in the direction of the steps. "Release them Tonks. While I find out from Kevin how long before we have system restart."
Smirking Tonks snapped her fingers just like a house elf, and dispelled the bonds releasing all of them at once, though she left the duct tape in place.
Tapping his own headset John added his authority to the mix. "This is Colonel Sheppard, You are ordered to stand down. I repeat stand down, secure all weapons do not interfere with the Alteran's as they move about their city."
Turning to Elizabeth John told her quietly. "This is not good I told General O'Neill he should make the time to let them know we were here."
"We both agreed at the time that it could wait until we started the colonization project, it did not seem like a good idea to bother them any more after our last visit." Elizabeth winced in remembrance.
"Ouch." Rodney's voice swore from behind them.
Pointing his thumb over his shoulder John asked wincing at the thought of McKay being around the Alteran's . "What about him."
Looking over her shoulder, then at the line of cages along the wall. Elizabeth replied. "Do you think they would mind making another cage?"
Standing on the jetty above the two, Jack had to smile at the banter and hoped that McKay person learned his lessen, though if he even looked at the boys the wrong way again he would use him to practice his human transfiguration homework, and turn him into a pincushion, well at least part of him he thought evilly.
Kevin walked out of the control room and joined Jack. "All the control crystals have been replaced, it will be another five minutes until full power restart."
"Thanks Kevin, What do you think about the by-passes they came up with?" Jack asked as he pointed down at the floor and the group of milling scientist that were too leery to attempt to come up the stairs.
"To be honest," Kevin started to say as he leaned on the balcony. "It is probably the only reason they are not dead right now. If they had been able to access the controls fully they probably would have unknowingly released the horrors trapped in this place."
"That's not good, not good at all." Jack said facing him now. "You plan on overriding those sections right?"
Smirking Kevin laughed causing some of those milling below to look up. "Oh, I think I can manage that."
"Main frame coming on line now." Lira called out from behind them.
"Lord Commander T minus three minutes to full power, system main frame now up and running," Kevin said loud enough for Jacks com unit to pick up.
"Once you have full power back online, at least as much as you can, Jack bring Weir and Sheppard back up here with you so we can find out what the Bloody Hell is going on." Harry told them before closing the connection.
"Will do Harry." Jack replied as he caught the attention of the two people in question by pointing at them, and motioned them to come up.
Looking at each other for a moment they both slowly made their way to the steps and climbed them to join the one who seemed to be in charge of the Alteran's down here.
Jack waited until they had stopped near him before saying. "I need to make an announcement to your crew. We are about to do a full system restart and bring power back online, we need to warn your crew so the system is not overloaded at first with your people trying to bring the systems you were using back up." Jack explained.
"Right, I can do that." Elizabeth said with more conviction then she felt. Tapping her headset, "Attention all personal, system restart in." Elizabeth paused as she looked over for an answer.
"Two minutes." Kevin told her.
"System restart in two minutes, lets turn off as much as we can so we don't blow the fuses. Weir out." Elizabeth told them.
While her people were doing as she asked, she stood there nervously, as she wondered what was going to happen now.
"System restart in ten." Lira called out before counting down.
The lights started to flicker and then they stayed on as system after system came to life as power flowed through the relays once again.
Atlantis had once again come back to life.
"How long do you need to stay down here, until you feel comfortable with setting up a repair crew schedule?" Jack asked Kevin.
"Most of the day I think, why?" Kevin replied looking back at his repair techs doing their jobs in the control room.
"Make sure you take security with you as you root around in the innards of this place, we don't want any accidents, intentional or otherwise." Jack informed him in Alteran.
Waiting until Kevin nodded his head in acceptance, Jack then turned and pointed at both Weir and Sheppard.
"Lets go the Lord Commander wishes to talk to the both of you." Jack told them as he started down the steps, not caring if they followed or not.
Scott lent me his eyes and brain and provided the wonderful job of editing this chapter.
Sorry about the long delay but real life and the death of my father delayed things, expect a chapter once a month for now
