Chapter Seventy-Seven
Bren and Tom were out enjoying an early morning walk around the campgrounds before breakfast. The weather was quite pleasant, due to the cool temperature provided by the previous night. The birds were perched in several of the trees singing their hearts out as the two men walked hand in hand below them.
"You're awfully quiet this morning," Tom remarked. "Everything alright?"
Bren shrugged his shoulders. "I think so." He stopped walking and asked, "Do you think something is developing between my brother and Evan Randall?"
A surprised look appeared on Tom's face. "Where did this come from, Babe?"
Bren shook his head. "I know it sounds crazy, but I've walked into the kitchen several times and saw Evan talking to Chance."
Tom studied his partner's face. "Would it be a problem for you? I mean if something was going on."
"Our way of life is so new to Chance. I would hate for him to get hurt."
Tom pulled his lover to him and said, "Evan seems like a great guy. As you say, gay life is new to Chance. Honestly, Bren, if he were my brother, I'd be happy to have someone like Evan to be his friend. I know how much you love Chance. If you have concerns, talk with him. The two of you have reconnected, and I can see how much you love each other."
Bren smiled and kissed Tom. "I love you, Tom Varney."
Tom smiled. "Ditto, Babe!"
When they stepped inside the large dining hall, Barry and a group of students were standing to one side of the room. "Your brother's in the kitchen," Tom called as he made his way over to the students.
Bren took a deep breath and walked toward the kitchen. He stepped in the doorway and stopped. Evan Randall was scooping scrambled eggs from a large skillet into a serving pan, and Chance was taking biscuits out of the oven. Bren could tell they were having some sort of discussion.
"You're out here early, Evan," Bren greeted.
Evan grinned. "I thought I'd come out and offer to help your brother with the meal."
Chance placed the biscuits on the kitchen island. "Yeah, he felt sorry for me." He pushed the biscuits across the island countertop. "Take these out front for me, please," he said to his brother.
"I'll be right behind you," Evan said picking up the scrambled eggs.
When they had the food in place, Bren turned to the professor and said, "You and my brother seem to be getting along well."
Evan smiled. "You and your brother have a lot in common."
"I'm not sure what you mean."
"Bren, I haven't known you long, but I can tell that you are a very warm and caring man. Your brother has the same qualities."
"Do you know that Chance has only recently admitted to himself, and to me, that he's gay?"
Evan placed a hand on Bren's shoulder. "I know."
"Here's the gravy," Chance said announced as he joined them. He sat two large steaming pans of gravy beside the biscuits and turned around and called out, "Soup's on!"
Bren followed his brother back into the kitchen. "Chance, can we have a talk after breakfast?"
"Of course. What's on your mind, Buddy?"
Bren looked out into the dining area. "Tom's motioning for me to join him. I'll come see you when breakfast is finished."
Tom got in line behind Barry, and Cole walked up behind Bren. Cole leaned around Bren and said, "Barry, I guess the old farts decided to join us this morning."
Barry grinned. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure they'll have to take a nap after breakfast.
Cole laughed. "They may go back to bed, but I don't think it will be to sleep."
Tom stepped out of line and gave Cole's ass a playful smack. "Excuse me, young man, I'll have you know that we've already fucked this morning." He got back in line and began filling his plate.
Cole pinched one of Bren's ass cheeks. "I hear these two are horn dogs. They fuck day, night, and several times in between."
"Hey, watch it," Bren warned Cole.
Cole picked up a plate. "Oh, I'm definitely watching it." He looked at his teacher's ass. "Believe me, I watch it every day."
Barry walked to one of the tables with Tom, Bren and Cole following behind him. "You may join us," he said to Tom.
"You have it wrong. Bren and I are allowing you and Cole to join us. You had better damn well behave."
Cole took a seat next to Bren. "I always behave, Tom." Looking at Bren, he added, "I can't vouch for this guy."
"Hey, what did I do?" Bren gave Cole a jab with his elbow.
Evan Randall was suddenly standing on the other side of the table. "May I join you guys?"
Cole grinned. "Of course, Professor. I can do two things at once."
Evan had a puzzled look on his face as he took his seat. "Two things?"
Cole reached for his fork. "Hells, yeah, Professor. I can eat while looking at your incredibly hot body."
Evan's eyebrows rose up, and he looked at Bren. "Am I going to have this guy in my class this fall?"
Bren smiled. "You certainly are. Let me assure you, Cole will make your life interesting. Never be surprised by anything he does or what comes out of his mouth."
Evan smiled and reached across the table. He covered Cole's hand with his and said, "I think I'm going to like having you in my class. Can I depend on you to keep me on my toes?"
"He'll definitely do that," Tom assured the newest Community staff member.
"I see you in the kitchen helping Bren's brother a lot. What gives? Are you two friends?" Cole took a bite of eggs.
Bren thought Cole's question was valid, and he waited to hear Evan's response.
Evan looked at Bren and smiled. Turning back to Cole, he said, "I think I'm really going to like living and teaching here. I'm hoping to make a lot of new friends."
"Like Bren's brother?"
Cole pursued his train of thought, and Bren was happy that the student had. He waited for Evan to answer the boy.
Evan took a drink from his coffee cup. "I'm enjoying getting to know the man. Bren and his brother are a lot alike. They both have warm hearts and sincere spirits."
Cole shook his head. "Just a straight answer, please."
Bren thought that Evan might feel he was being attacked by the student, but he remained silent. He admitted to himself that he was just as curious as Cole where his brother and Evan were concerned.
Evan drained his coffee cup and pushed his empty plate to the side. "I've only known Chance for a short time, but to answer your question, Cole, I'm beginning to think of the man as a friend." He looked at Bren. "That won't be a problem, will it, Bren?"
Bren shook his head. "Of course not. Just remember what I told you earlier about my brother."
Evan reached across the table and touched Bren's hand. "I remember, Bren. I understand some of what your brother's going through. You have my word, I would never do or anything to intentionally hurt Chance.
Bren locked eyes with Evan. "Has he talked with you about his situation?"
Evan nodded. "Of course he has. I've spent quite a bit of time in the kitchen since my arrival. Bren, if you have concerns, I'd suggest that you have a talk with Chance. I get the feeling that the two of you are very close."
The five sitting together became silent. Even Cole realized that it might be time to drop the subject. He reached down and lightly touched Bren's thigh and smiled. The gentle touch assured his teacher that he understood Bren's concern.
As the dining room began clearing of students, Bren, Tom and Cole went into the kitchen and offered to help Chance with the cleanup detail. Evan told them he was going to step outside and circulate through smaller groups of students. He thought it would be a good way to get to know them.
Once the kitchen was clean, Cole said, "Hey, Tom, let's step outside and see if anything exciting is going on."
Bren smiled and gave Cole a hug. "Thank you," he whispered.
He hugged Tom, and suddenly Bren was left alone in the kitchen with his brother.
Chance smiled at his brother. "I see we are suddenly all alone. What did you want to talk to me about, Buddy?"
Bren stepped to the door and looked around the dining room and found it empty. He turned back to his brother and said, "I love you, Chance."
Chance walked around the kitchen island and pulled his brother into a hug. "I love you, too, Buddy."
Sharing a hug with his brother, Bren suddenly remembered Evan's words. "You and your brother have a lot in common." Feeling Chance's body next to his, reminded him that both of them were well endowed with lots of thick black body hair. Chance may be his brother, but Bren still found the hug exciting. He felt his cock twitch, and he pulled away. His eyes traveled downward and saw Chance's dick thickening up as well. He quickly raised his eyes and said, "Chance, I want to ask you something, and I hope you won't think I'm trying to get into your business."
Chance laughed. "My business?" He looked around the kitchen. "This is my business. It's my life. It's your life, too. What's this really about, Buddy?"
"Evan Randall. Have you known him long?"
"I met Evan when Chad introduced me in front of you."
"I'm really glad that you're making friends," Bren admitted. "If I'm honest, I'd love for you to have someone in your life like I have. It's just that you and Evan – the two of you act like you've always known each other."
"Come with me, Bren."
Chance led his brother into his room and closed the door. "I told you that I met Evan in the kitchen, and I did. However, that wasn't the first time. Bren, do you remember when I told you that I was gay?"
"Of course I remember."
"Bren, I had been living a very confused life for a long time. I kept having these thoughts, and I thought if I'd do the bar scene I'd find a girl. I convinced myself that I'd find one and have sex with her. All the bar did for me was to leave me even more confused." He turned away from his brother and looked down at the floor.
"Look at me, Chance."
Bren pulled his brother to him. "Chance, you have nothing to be ashamed of. And God knows I would never judge or criticize you in any way. Jesus, you're my brother, and I love you."
"I gave up the bars. At least the straight bars."
Surprised, Bren asked, "You went to a gay bar?"
"I did. Oh, not with the intention of finding someone to fuck."
Bren kissed his brother's cheek. "Again, no judgement here."
"I was so fucking confused. I thought perhaps I could find answers at one of those bars."
"Did you?"
Chance nodded. "As a matter of fact, I did. I told you that I met Evan here in the kitchen. That wasn't exactly true. I lied, Buddy."
Bren pulled his brother close and felt a strong desire to comfort Chance. "It's alright."
"On one of my trips to the gay bar I was sitting at a table and nursing a drink and feeling sorry for myself. This guy came over and asked if he could join me. I told him to have a seat, but that I wasn't looking for a hook up. Bren, the man was Evan. We only shared first names. We didn't discuss jobs, family, or anything personal."
Chance continued, "For some reason I suddenly felt very comfortable talking with the man. I opened up and told him about my life, how confused I was about things. Evan sat there and listened to my rambling words. I think I kept the poor man there for hours listening to everything I said. Buddy, Evan Randall personally saved me. Had it not been for the time he spent listening to me, I don't think I would be here today."
"Oh, Chance." He suddenly realized the meaning behind his brother's words. "Fuck!" His eyes watered up as tears formed and slowly made their way down both his cheeks.
Chance smiled and wrapped his arms around his brother's back. "It's okay, Buddy. I'm okay."
"I'm here for you, Chance. Please promise me something."
"Anything, Buddy."
"If you ever experience anything like that again, promise to talk to me. I will always be here for you."
Chance smiled and kissed his brother lightly on the lips. "And I will always be here for you, Buddy."
Bren stepped back. "Fuck! I think I need to go find Evan."
"Why is that?"
"I owe the man an apology. He must think that I'm an interfering bastard."
"Why would he think that?"
"Suffice it to say that I need to settle some things with him. Chance, I hope that you and Evan do become good friends." He grinned. "Hell, you might even become fuck buddies."
Chance shrugged his shoulders and opened the bedroom door. "Who knows, that might just happen."
Bren gave his brother's hairy ass a playful smack. "I hope that you do. I'll come back later and help you with the evening meal."
Bren stepped outside and looked around the grounds. Students were gathered around in smaller groups talking and laughing with each other. He discovered Evan standing underneath one of the huge oak trees that shaded the tennis court. The professor was talking with Cole.
"What's up, Teach," Cole greeted.
"Can we talk?" he asked Evan.
"Of course. What's on your mind?"
Cole excuse himself, saying, "I'll leave it to you guys."
Bren placed a hand on the boy's shoulder. "Stay, Cole. I have no secrets."
Bren looked at Evan. "I owe you an apology, Evan."
A surprised look appeared on Evan's face. "What the hell for?"
Bren stepped closer to the man. "I took your advice and had a talk with Chance."
Evan became quiet. Finally he said, "I see."
"Thank you, Evan. I'm glad you were there for my brother."
"He's told you then?"
Bren nodded. "Yes"
Evan began talking and described his meeting with Chance. His story matched Chance's description to the letter. When he had finished talking, he suddenly found Bren pulling him into a tight hug.
"Thank you," Bren said softly.
"I'll never turn down a hug from a sexy hairy guy, but what the hell was this one for?"
"I think you know, Evan Randall."
"Hey, what about me?" Cole said. "I like hairy hugs, too."
Bren stepped away from Evan and said, "Come here, you." He held out his arms, and Cole went in for a tight hug. Rubbing against the boy's body, Bren whispered, "I told Tom what we did the night of the graduation party."
Bren felt his X student's body become very still. He wasn't even sure if Cole was still breathing.
A long sigh came from Cole. "And?"
Bren thought he heard a trace of fear in Cole's voice. He grinned. "It's alright, Cole. Tom was okay with everything." Sobering, Bren continued, "Just remember the restricted line that separates you and me."
Cole's body relaxed. "Understood." He pulled Bren closer and rubbed his thickening cock through Bren's dense mat of black pubes. "I can always dream about fucking you." He gave one more crotch grind to Bren and broke the hug.
Bren turned around and saw a look of shock on the professor's face. He grinned. "It's alright, Evan. Cole's a fucking cock tease. However, he is very respectful of the rules."
Evan eyed Bren's twitching dick. "The same might be said of you, my friend."
Bren looked down at his growing dick. "Guilty, Professor Evan Randall. Guilty as charged." He made a fist around Evan's dick and felt it grow beneath his fingers. "You're quite the tease yourself." Bren's fingers left the man's cock and trailed through his thick blond pubes. He gave Evan a wink.
Evan's dick jerked and quickly pointed away from his body. It pointed up in a forty-five degree angle. The sight caused Bren's dick to jerk wildly and push out from his mass of black cock hair.
Evan stepped closer and asked, "Think Tom would be okay if the two of us slipped away somewhere?"
Bren ran his fingers through the thick growth of blond curls on the professor's chest. He grinned. "He would be disappointed if we didn't."
"Where do we go?"
Bren could hear the excitement in Evan's voice. "Follow me."
"Hey, I'm still here."
Bren laughed. "Awesome, Cole. There's something you can do for us."
Both men saw that the boy's dick was hard. Cole said, "It's about fucking time."
"Follow us," Bren told the boy.
