Gay Trust in the Sixties Chapter 1 Edited
"It's okay Barry." Lou answered reaching out and gripping my hands in his big hands. "I'm like you but I don't want any of the guys to know. So there it is Barry I've told someone. I the same as you don't know what to do with another guy though. Maybe we could experiment together."
We held hands for a few minutes before he raised his hand and ran it down my cheek and looked into my eyes. "I've always thought you were cute Barry."
"I've always thought you were a hunk Lou." I said looking into his blue eyes letting Lou pull me closer. I had to stand up as I leaned over him and he pressed his lips to my lips. I could feel spark flying from our lips. Not literately but it was like magic. I had never kissed anyone on the lips in my entire life.
"I'm sorry Barry I kissed you like that." Lou pulled away after our short kiss. "It just seemed like the natural thing to do. How did it feel to you?" Lou asked.
"You don't have to be sorry Lou." I answered. "It was wonderful. Let's try it again."
Once more our lips met and this time neither one of us pulled away. Instead our mouths opened and Lou traced my front teeth with his tongue and then pulling it back into his mouth. I decided to try what Lou had done and stuck my tongue out and ran my tongue across his shinning white teeth. I felt him take a deep breath in and let it out as I put my tongue back in my own mouth and we pulled away from each other. "That was fantastic Barry." Lou said and smiled.
"Yes it was but I think that's enough for our first time Lou." I said smiling back at Lou. I felt a bit embarrassed after our deep kiss and sat down again.
"You're so cute I just want to wrap my arms around you in my arms. Won't you let me hug you Barry?" Lou asked taking my hands in his big hands. "I promise not to hurt you."
"Okay." I answered wanting to be held in Lou's muscular arms. "Let's try it." I stood up again and took a step toward Lou who had already stood up. I had to look up to look into his bright blue eyes as he looked down into my hazel eyes.
"I don't know how to go about this." Lou said bending down and wrapping his arms around my small framed body. He surprised me when he lifted me off my feet and hugged me tighter. I looked up as he looked down and our lips met. This time our tongues came out the same time and entered each others mouths. I felt breathless and comfortable in Lou's strong arms pressed against his muscular chest. He put me down on the floor again and looked down at me. "I hope I didn't hurt you Barry."
"No you didn't" I answered feeling faint from the new experience. "To tell the truth it was wonderful. I've never experienced anything so great before in my life. Thank you Lou."
"Your welcome and I am glad we came out to each other. Don't worry I won't tell anyone as long as you don't out me that is." Lou said smiling down at me the same time he sat down.
I sat down across from Lou and let him take my hands in his again. We both stared into each other for the longest time before I broke the silence. "I guess I better get going, it's getting late."
"I don't want to push you into anything but can I see you again?" Lou asked. "Maybe we could go to a movie or something. I don't know how these things are supposed to proceed since we are two men interested in being with men together. I don't want anyone to catch on how I feel about you. Not that I'm in love with you or anything like that yet."
"You know as much about this kind of thing as I do. I just know ever since I can remember I have been attracted to other males and not females. Is it the same with you Lou?" I asked.
"Between you and me that is how I have felt also since as far back as I can remember and it has been very difficult for me being around the jocks all the time. I guess it's not as difficult for you being more of a loner and not around a lot of guys." Lou answered.
"Believe me it is difficult because I'm always afraid I'll be beat up if any of the guys find out I am attracted to other males. I should know as I was always picked on in public school for being different and called all sorts of names. I'm sure you've heard the names the guys call guys like me. Not a great athlete or anything like that. I just walk and don't play sports.
"I'm sorry you've had to go through life like that Barry. I haven't had to live life like that being an athlete myself I've just had to watch how I look at my fellow teammates. Some of them really turn me on and I sure don't want them to know. With you though I feel at ease and just want to hold you in my arms all the time. When ever we are together that is."
"Thank you Lou. Why don't you give me one of those fantastic hugs before I head for home and can you meet up with me after school tomorrow. We can decide a good movie to go to." I said.
"Sounds like a great idea." Lou answered wrapping is big arms around me lifting me off the floor again and planting a big kiss on my lips. I pressed my body against Lou's and kissed him back. He then let me down on the floor. "See you tomorrow."
"Okay Lou." I said as Lou walked me to the door and I walked out and down the sidewalk toward home.
I felt like I was floating on air as I made my way home. When I got home mom and dad were sitting in the living room watching TV. "Your home later than we expected. Did everything go okay Barry?" Mom asked.
"Yes everything was good mom. How was your day mom and dad?" I asked.
"Did you meet any girls and make a date with any one of them?" Dad asked.
"I danced with a few but didn't ask any of them out. I think they are more interested in the school jocks than they are me." I didn't want to let my parents I wasn't attracted to girls only guys. I figured neither of them would understand and would be angry with me. "The girls were nice to me though. Maybe I will meet one and ask her out sometime."
"Take your time." Mom said. "There's plenty of time. You don't want to get too involved with any girl just now when you have your future to think about."
"Listen to your mother and play the field before settling down with just one girl Barry." Dad said.
"I'm tired I'm going up to bed. Goodnight mom and dad." I said walking toward the den door. "See you in the morning. I have to get up for school tomorrow." I woke up in the morning and looked around my room. It was the same as any other day but my head was still focused on what had happened the evening before with Lou. I got out of bed and headed to the washroom washroom and then stripped out of my Pj's and getting into the shower. As I washed myself I kept thinking about Lou and what he must really think of me. Had he been faking about being like me or was he really like me. He had picked me up in his big strong arms and hugged me and even kissed me. Would he do that if he was faking? If he did he sure was one hell of a good actor. I guess I'd find out when I saw him after school. At least I hope he would meet me after school. Then I remembered we had agreed to meet but we didn't say where or when. I guess I'd stay by my locker and hope he came around to meet me after school.
I finished my shower, dressed and went downstairs for breakfast. Mom was fixing breakfast when I got downstairs and dad was still reading the morning paper. "Good morning mom and dad." I greeted as I sat down for breakfast.
"Good morning Barry." Dad said.
"Good morning Barry." Mom said setting my usual bowl of hot cereal as well as OJ in front of me.
As usual I ate my breakfast in silence as Mom cleaned up the kitchen and dad finished reading his morning paper. I excused myself after breakfast and washed up to get ready for school. "Good bye mom and dad, have a good day." I said as I walked out the side door leading outside. I walked the half hour walk to school as usual. There wasn't anything unusual at school but the day seemed to drag by as I looked forward to the end of the day with excitement and fear at the same time. Would Lou meet me at my locker after school? If he did would he bring his football buddies and make fun of me or would he come by himself or ask me to go somewhere to talk on our own. Finally the last class of the day finished and I went to my locker. I put my books in from my last class and collected books to take home with me. I waited and waited and was about to leave figuring Lou wasn't going to show up. Just as I was about to leave Lou walked up to me by himself. "Sorry I'm late Barry but practice went longer than I had expected. Is there somewhere we can go and talk?" He asked.
"We can go around the outside of the gym." I answered. "No one is usually there after school."
"Okay lets go." Lou and I walked beside each other to the far side of the school and the back of the gym. "Now that we're here what shall we talk about?" Lou asked.
"I don't really know. How about first we make plans to go to the movies tomorrow since it's Saturday. We could watch the movie and go somewhere and talk if you like that is." I said.
"Sounds like a good plan. I just wish I could lift you up and give you a big hug and kiss but it is kind of chancy here." Lou said.
"Alright we'll go to the movies. Do you want to meet me at my place since you have a car and I don't drive?" I asked.
"Okay." Lou answered. "Where do you live and what time should I pick you up?"
"Would one be okay? The movie starts at two. We could talk. My parents are going to be out shopping after lunch." I said and then gave Lou my address.
"See you tomorrow at one and I'll get to hug and kiss you again since your parents won't be home." Lou said and walked toward the student parking lot where his car was parked.
"See you tomorrow Lou." I said waving to him as I turned and headed for home.
Will anything interesting happen when Lou comes to pick up Barry to go to the movies or will they even go to the movies.
