Fun on a bus
Part 1
I was the bass player in a band called Silky Icon. We were a seven-piece band, consisting of two girl singers, Melissa and Rachel, our lead vocalist, Darren, Danny on lead guitar, Bobby on keyboards, Jimmy on drums and myself, Chris, on bass. We were a sort of new age glam-rock band, with mostly very long hair, especially Bobby, Danny and myself. Darren was a beautiful boy, slightly built, with blue eyes, and long, dark brown, almost black, curly hair, which fell down in ringlets. He was a girl's dream with a perfect complexion, a pretty mouth and white, even teeth. The girl fans adored him. Darren had started the band with Danny and Jimmy only six months previously. The word had been put around by their manager, John, that they were looking for a bass and keyboard player. He was very concerned with image and wanted the musicians to be young and good-looking with long hair. I had been in another femmy band with Bobby, called the Dark Angels, but that had broken up. I had known Bobby for about two years and we were great friends. He was sixteen when we met and already had very long hair, as I did. We had similar backgrounds, having both lost our fathers at an early age, and been teased and bullied at school because of our hair. Like me, Bobby had found solace in music. He was a fantastic musician, a wonderfully sensitive classical piano player. One time he played Chopin's prelude in E minor for me and I cried. It is such a sad piece. He looked so pretty when he played, his mass of long blonde wavy hair falling down over his skinny shoulders. He looked so much like a girl. I loved classical music too and played a little cello. We used to get together and play Mozart pieces sometimes. However, our main love in music now was rock'n'roll. We heard about the auditions for Silky Icon and we went down to the rehearsal place, excited. I had seen Darren perform onstage before. He used to dress in brightly coloured shirts, which he usually wore open all down the front, to show off his beautiful smooth chest and cute little nipples, and tight velvet or satin pants. He wore lipstick and eye makeup. I loved his slinky, seductive style of singing and so did the girl fans who regularly threw items of underwear at him.
When we arrived at the audition studio Darren was onstage, checking his microphone. I noticed there were two very pretty girls sitting onstage at the back, talking to Danny, his guitarist. Darren saw Bobby and me and I could see by the smile on his face that he immediately liked us. We had both put on tight satin pants and camisole tops for the audition; mine was pink and Bobby's lilac. They were girls' tops. We had washed our hair to make it look soft and fluffy and put on some lip gloss and subtle eyeshadow. We wanted to look as fem as we could because we knew Darren was into that look.
We went up on the stage, put down our guitar cases and introduced ourselves to Darren. I was knocked back by how beautiful he was close up. He shook hands with us. "Wow," he said, "you look great. I love your outfits." Danny looked over and saw us and broke into a smile. He came over and shook hands warmly. He obviously liked us too. "I think you're hired," Darren said. "But we haven't played yet," I protested. "You've got the look," Danny said. Danny was very feminine-looking, slender, with long, straight hair like mine, but his was light brown with blonde streaks, whereas mine was dark. He looked like he was wearing eyeliner and lipstick. He was very pretty; he really looked like a girl. He looked at me and Bobby with great interest. At that moment Jimmy, the drummer, arrived with the manager, John. We were introduced to them. Jimmy was lean, muscular and handsome, with shortish blonde hair. He had a lovely, friendly smile. John was tall, good looking, with brown hair done up in a short ponytail. He kept looking Bobby and me up and down, smiling all the time. I guessed he liked the way we looked. "We'd better run through some stuff," he said, in a businesslike tone. We took out our guitars, plugged them into the amps which had been provided, and began running through a few songs we all knew. As we played, Danny and Darren started beaming at us. We beamed back. The girls, who were called Melissa and Rachel, joined in on a few songs. They had only joined the week before but sang like pros. They looked very sexy I thought, wearing extremely short skirts and colourful, skimpy chiffon tops. They stared at Bobby and me a lot, smiling prettily. "I think we're a band," said Darren. He came and shook mine and Bobby's hand warmly. "You're in," he said. "Fantastic," said John, nodding his head in agreement. Bobby and I went back to my apartment to celebrate. We downed several beers each and sat discussing our good fortune. We got quite tipsy. "I can't believe we got the gig," said Bobby. "Darren is so nice," I said, "so is Danny." They're all nice," Bobby said. Bobby opened yet another beer and took a huge swig. I did likewise. We soon finished them and opened more. After two more beers we were feeling wonderful. "I remember John Levine, their manager," said Bobby, "he used to manage the Vortex. He's gay but he's a very shrewd businessman." "Oh yes," I said, "I remember. He had really long hair back then. He was always staring at me." "That's because you looked like a girl," said Bobby. "Well so do you," I said, "especially with that lip gloss on." Bobby pouted saucily at me. "Kiss me then," he giggled. Taking him by surprise, I went over and sat next to him, took his pretty little face gently in my hands and kissed his lips softly. "Oh," he said, "that was nice." We both giggled drunkenly. "You even kiss like a girl," I said. "So do you," he said, "you kiss like Leila." Leila was Bobby's girlfriend. "Really?" I said. "Actually better than her," he said, giving me a saucy look. We looked at each other for a while, uncertain. I had never kissed a boy before. I don't think Bobby had either. It was a new, exciting feeling.
Nervously we kissed again, for longer this time, a sweet, girly kiss. "Boys aren't supposed to kiss like this," Bobby said. I put my arm around his slender shoulders and we kissed again for much longer; finally parting, breathless. "Bobby, stop," I said, "we can't do this. We're drunk." "Why not?" he said, "it feels lovely." "You look so nice in that top," I said, "so pretty and feminine. Just like a girl." I stroked his bare shoulder softly. I noticed he was blushing. "Danny looks like a girl too," he said. "I know. He's almost as pretty as you," I said. Bobby tossed his head girlishly and giggled. He looked so cute I gave him another kiss on the lips. He looked at me, his pretty lips parted, red and wet from our kisses. "Would you kiss Danny too?" he asked coyly. "I might," I said, "if I was drunk enough. He's got a nice mouth." Bobby laughed and gave me a gentle push. "You pervert," he said. "I've got a feeling we're going to really love this band," I said. That was my first kissing session with another boy. It was wild; kinky, but very sexy. Little did I know just how wild things could get.
