Chapter 19 A New World
We had done it. There had only been one death. We were free. The elation in my heart threatened to bring tears. I drew in the energy around me and let the fire erupt along my skin. I floated upward away from our platform high into the amphitheatre.
I folded everyone from where TK had transported them to safety. I brought them back into the massive coliseum. TK removed the separation wall that had split the Thoren and Human born.
The light flared from my body like a blinding blue star.
"We are now one people. There will no longer be Thoren and Human born," I sent to them in thought. "We will now and forever be known as the Huren. We are a new species, and there will be no separation."
We watched as the ceiling of the massive coliseum melted away to reveal the sunset. Bransen had initiated the sphere merger upon the departure of the last Sphere Major.
Twenty eight Sphere Major remained after the departure. Sixteen merged with the Cystos creating a landscape of silver. As far as the eye could see, our city formed around us in every direction. The silver landscape crept out from us at the center like a four pointed snowflake in design. It was spectacular. Twelve Sphere Major remained that circled the city. Each had its purpose and designation. Three were for the military, three for arts, three for education, and three for science.
The city too had been split into such groups that jutted outward like talons scraping against the horizon. In the center was a huge silver spire that pierced the clouds.
"Select you destiny," I thought to them. Flashes of white light took them from the coliseum to their new purpose.
I felt the energy burst from the top of the spire to the corners of our new city creating a massive shield. It would protect us from our enemies.
I settled myself, drifting downward to my place beside Bransen. We were the only ones remaining in the massive coliseum. The sun had set and now stars lit the sky. I couldn't help but to marvel at the view.
If only I had anticipated the avarice of man.
This is the end of this story. I am considering its sequel. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have writing it. I hope to hear your comments and criticism. It is, after all, what keeps me writing. So... well... if I don't hear from you, then I won't be writing a sequel. Take care and I hope you enjoyed the ride. Gaywriter72@yahoo.com. Thank you!
