This story is fiction. This story will also involve sexual and intimate relationships between two (or more) males, and if this offends you or it is illegal for you to be reading, then please leave. If you are under the age of consent for your community, please leave. And if it does offend you, I honestly don't know why you're even here in the first place. Really, though. It's perplexing.

Alan dropped his books on his desk; after all, it appeared that Dee was finally back. He was at the front of the class, wearing a rather oversized shirt that barely fit on his shoulders and covered his hands for some reason. Alan smiled a little. "He's been gone so long, I bet even I could outdo him." he thought to himself.

Of course, he was surprised when Dee knew the answers to questions the entire class hadn't even covered yet.

Something definetely seemed different about Dee. Later on during biology, Kari took some important time to profile the enemy while pretending to be taking book notes. He was a whole lot paler. Red eyes with bags under them, and he almost looked malnourished. And he was definetely quieter. He didn't say anything to anybody- even that one girl that he sat next to a lot. But he just kept smiling. And apologizing. That was all he did at this point: smile and say "sorry" even when nothing needed apologizing.

Kari sighed. Kae came up from next to her, first looking at her books then her face. He tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey, what's wrong?"

She slowly shook her head, looking back down at the desk. "You know, I'm having second thoughts about the whole 'destroy Dee' thing."

Kae raised an eyebrow at her uber-rare incidence of mercy. "Why?"

"Just look at him-" he took his face with crab claw hands, and turned it to Dee. He was involved in a study session with another classmate, and he appeared to be trembling as he was transcribing what his partner said. Dee smiled and apologized to her; she just raised an eyebrow and continued reading. "Pathetic. Just pathetic. It's like hunting a dying bunny, Kae. Or, or mugging an old person."

"Or mugging an old bunny. With a AK-47."

"Right, exactly. Not even fair."

Kae sighed and put his hands up, as if to say 'whatever.' "Sure. I mean, this is your project anyway, I'll just do what you say." he said.

As Kari aimlessly flipped through her pages, she twiddled a strand of her hair and continued watching Dee. His partner was obviously getting frustrated, and Dee was still just apologizing. "...Maybe the predator... could arm the prey."

"Wha?"

"Nothing. Shut up and do my notes."

Dee rushed out of class during his lunch period, again leaving a rather frustrated Allegra in the dark. He sped to the field that Jake lead him to before. He saw nearly the same people: cheerleaders, study crammers, but no one under the oak tree.

...Dee took that back. There were some people under the tree. However, they were on the other end of it in a particularly dark area, so no one could really see them. Dee walked over, hoping it was maybe Jake.

It was. In fact, it was Jake plus a little extra. To be more exact, Jake was smothering Jaina rather throughly, lips kissing, hands everywhere, shirts lifted up, barely containing it somewhere between second and third base. Dee simply stood there unnoticed for several seconds, mouth agape and staring. But finally, Jake, looking in the corner of his eye, spotted him. His reaction wasn't what Dee thought it would be. He met him straight in the eye, still groping and kissing Jaina. And he smiled.

This smile was almost malevolent. Dee, not sure what to do now, cleared his throat loudly. Jaina was roused and she quickly pulled out from under Jake, dragging her shirt down and straightening her hair. Jake slowly pulled his shirt down as well, stretching and giving another satisfied smile. Jaina yelled at Dee. "What the shit! What are you doing here, you freak?!"

Dee cleared his throat, trying to get a good explanation going. "I was going to have an in-depth talk with Jake, actually. But apparently he's tied up." Jaina barely flushed. "So I'll just tell him now." Dean continued. He turned to look Jake in the eye, a difficult task considering Jake's inappropriate jovality. "Thank you. What you did really meant a lot to me, and it was something that no one had ever done for me before. So I appreciate it. A lot. A-And you deserve to be happy. So go ahead and have fun with your girlfriend-" he motioned to an increasingly indignant Jaina "-and keep being the most popular kid at school. You know, it'll be easier without me around... and you owe it to yourself."

Before he turned away, Dee put on a big, just as incongrous smile, giving Jake more than a match. Jake's grin was wiped clean off his face, but Jaina was now giggling. "Good. Thank you, kid. Please go away." She nudged Jake with her elbow. "I swear, he's such a freak. Where do you get them?"

Jake didn't say a single word. He didn't say anything for the entire time that Dee was there. As Dee walked away, he continued to be speechless. Jaina pouted and gave a weak slap to his arm. "So... do you still wanna?"

No response. Jaina sighed. "Fine. I'll just go home then. God, you're so boring sometimes. Everytime that fucking freak comes along you get so jackassy."

"...'Jackassy.'" Jake shook his head in utter disappointment. "You aren't serious."

"Goddammit! Well, now I am! What is WRONG with you? I've been acting the same this whole time- YOU'RE the one who's all of a sudden acting like a dick!" She trudged away to the parking lot. "And I'll get my own ride, so don't worry about me! As if you have been lately!"

Jake watched her walk into the sun and onto the concrete courtyard. He began to reflect the two years on and off he spent with her. She was funny, she was beautiful- not quite the brighest bulb and not exactly nice either, but she had a... variety of other ways of making up for that. It's true; he was never dissatisfied until very recently. Until he met Dee. He was the one that changed, and there was nothing he could do about it.

"Fun" fact for fans!: Almost everything I write has a patron song or music I associate with it. Those who read my other story Charmed: Reborn are painfully aware of this :). Diana Celes was inspired by the single version of Goldfrapp's Ride a White Horse for some reason, and later revitalized by music from Charlotte Sometimes. I dunno, I just thought I'd mention that. :P

Part 6... very short, actually. But just as important. Look forward to a brighter, happier part 7! :D

As per usual, thanks for reading!

Next: Chapter 7
