Deviant Magic – Knowledge.

As I walk into the library I look around and I stop dead in my tracks. I can see down 2 rows of books into an open space where Luria is fighting someone. She looks like she's losing, and in danger.

I run towards her and I step into an open garden space with a large grass area, a few trees and direct sunlight. Luria is standing on the grass in a long white and blue dress that flows gracefully down her body. In both hands she's wielding strange weapons I've never seen before. In each hand she holds round metal circle disks with sharp edges and what looks like a handle in the middle.

Her enemy is a man. I can't quite tell what race he is. He looks elven but some of his features look different. He's tall, at 6'2 he's athletic but more on the leaner side. The most shocking features are his hair and face. He has his hair, that looks as if it would reach to his shoulders if he removed it from the tie holding it back. His hair is a dirty white colour and on each side of his head he's shaved his hair very short. At the edge of his hairline by his forehead he's sporting two horns. Not very long, maybe 3 inches each but quite sharp looking. His eyebrows are an ashen grey colour and his eyes are bright yellow with white eyelashes. His jawline is strong, and I can see tiny white grey stubble giving him a bright five o'clock shadow. He has very high cheek bones giving him a distinct look. I've never seen someone like that. On his body he wears only a long black sleeveless robe that goes all the way down to his ankles, accentuating his lean but muscular biceps. The robe is open and exposes his chest and stomach where his tanned and toned brown skin peaks through. He wears a pair of grey shorts that go to just the top of his knees.

In his right hand he's holding a long black polished staff. He's holding it behind his back and the staff looks longer than he is.

He moves towards her and as he pulls the staff in front of him it looks shorter somehow. He shoves it into the ground as he charges towards her and then suddenly his staff gets much longer, propelling him off the ground as he jumps towards her. Luria holds up both metal circles just in time to defend herself as the man brings his staff down on her with incredibly speed and force. She's forced on her knee as she grunts.

The whole sight took me by surprise, but she looks like she's in trouble. I'm not entirely sure what to do but I have to help her. She saved my life after all. I run towards him as I clench my hands into fists and summon my purple flames around them.

Luria notices me charging towards them and yells. "Leon?! What are you doing? Wait. Wait!"

As she screams the man turns to look at me as well, and he steps away from Luria immediately as Luria jumps up and throws her hands up to stop me as I nearly punched him with my flaming fists.

I look at them in confusion. They were just fighting a minute ago. What's happening? The guy speaks.

"Oi, this a friend of yours Luria?"

What a strange accent he has...

"Leon. I'm glad you're in the library but we're just sparring. You don't have to rescue me." Luria says as she notices my readiness to swoop in and save the day.

What's sparring?... I feel like such an idiot... Why do I keep making these silly mistakes? Not in front of her. I have to pretend I know what I'm doing in front of her.

"Oh, sparring, yea sure. It just looked a lot more aggressive than normal, so I got worried." I say as my flames die.

Luria laughs a bit. "You're right Leon, my friend Sky here doesn't know when to stop sometimes. But he's only trying to push my limits, aren't you Sky?" She says as she feigns a punch on Sky's stomach.

Are they romantic? What even is he?

"Hi there, mate. I'm Sky. Thanks for not scorching me with those wicked flames of yours." He says as he reaches out a hand to me.

I shake his hands as I look into those yellow eyes of his. He has a small scar going through his right eyebrow and I can tell that he's still quite young, but I have a hard time placing his age. I still can't determine what race he is.

"Um... Hey Sky. Sorry about that. I'm Leon. First time in the library, didn't know you did sparring here. I like your hair." I say trying to be polite.

"And I like your eyes, I have a friend with eyes like that. Pretty cool look you've got. See, Luria, a man should show his chest. Especially if he's a walking hunk of muscle, like Leon here." He says as he gives me a very light punch between my pecs.

They both laugh a bit and I smile at the two of them. Clearly, it's a conversation they've had before.

"Yeah, Leon. I have to say, I like the new look. You pull off the open chest better than Sky here." She says as she grabs my vest and gives it a light tug.

"Oi, let's not go there Luria. I might not be as strong but I'm wicked fast ey." Sky defends himself. Earning him a bit more laughter from Luria.

He's muscly but his stomach is mainly flat, but he has small pecs and decent biceps. Maybe he's not elven... Could he be some half breed like me?

"Gosh. My mother would be so upset if she knew what a bad host I was being. Let me show you around Leon. You must be so excited to be in here. By the way! You got in quicker than I would have thought. How did you manage that?" She says as she starts to grab me and push me back inside the library.

"I'm gonna go wash off a bit Luria, catch up with you guys later yea." Sky says as he begins walking to the other end of the open grass area towards an open arch doorway. Luria waves him goodbye.

"I helped the right person, and they were able to get me in for free." I say in answer to her question, not wanting to go into too much detail. "I'm excited to be here. Those weapons you have. They're really cool." I say as I point to the rings that are now secured on her hips by some leather straps.

"You like my chakrams! Thank you. Each mage has their own preference you know, these just speak to me. Just don't tell mum and dad. I don't want them to know I'm training as a battle mage. It's required if I'm ever going to become a grand mage. I still want to focus on healing, but you know what it's like..." She trails off.

What? No... I don't know what it's like. Chakrams? I've never heard the word in my life. She's so pretty and I have to make a good impression.

"Yeah, your chakras are the nicest I've ever seen. I won't tell Lana or Geoff, don't worry. You'll make Milo proud though. He was telling me he wanted to be a battle mage the other day" I say trying to make a better connection with her.

She leads me through a hallway and into a huge room which has an octagonal shape with shelves lining every single wall. There are several doors leading into several directions and large tables in the middle. There are currently 2 people in the room reading books and one looks as if he's taking notes.

"Oh Kelpie no. I won't let him become one. Hopefully he won't awaken to magic. I'm the second one in my family's history. My dad's brother being the other one. Unless Milo is exposed to something, I don't think it's likely he'll ever become a mage."

She seems very protective of Milo. Which is all well and good. Hope she becomes that protective of me.

She leads me through one of the doors that are almost carved through the book cases. We step through the wooden door and the room is huge. It's nearly the same size as the other room. This space is lined with rugs and pillows all over the floor. There are no windows and much like all of the other rooms, the space is lit up by nothing. There's a warm light coming from above, but I can't locate the source. The roof is impossibly high and there are only wood beams lining the top. No lanterns or candles. Nothing.

She takes me out of the room and leads me into the next door which is only a few steps away. She opens the door and again, the room is huge. This room only has a huge long wooden table which could easily seat 20 people around it. The wood looks really nice. There are long benches stretching the length of the table.

... I'm confused. These rooms are too large to be right next to each other... It's like they are in the same space. I scratch my cheek as I'm trying to figure out how this works when I hear Luria laughing.

"I wondered how many rooms I would have to show you before you started questioning things. Only two... I'm impressed Leon. You're clever" She says as she pats my shoulder. "The black stone this building is made from is called obsidian and it channels magic better than most rock. It comes from the floating isles of Saskia. Using these stones, mages have been able to create buildings that are larger inside, than they are outside. It's a complicated spell requiring runes to be written in secret spaces throughout the building, but it's worth it. Don't you think? These rooms are mostly used for privacy reasons. You can lock them from inside."

I feel as if I have to lift my jaw from the floor... Magic can do things like this? An already massive building is made massiv...er by the application of magic and runes. And what was that about floating isles? Floating as in water?... why not just call them islands...?

Again, I'm feeling frustrated that dad didn't allow me to be educated. Everything I know about the world is from what he told me and what I heard from kids in the village. I feel like a stranger. But I want to travel and see these places for myself.

"That's really interesting. I remember reading something about obsidian." I say in a blatant lie as Luria studies my face.

"Oh, that's right, let me show you the main magic sections. This large hall here" She says pointing to the octagonal room. "Contains mostly lore and legends from around Gaia. Come I'll show you the main magical spell section"

She drags me back to the main hall and we go around the large stone tower in the middle and through some pillars at the back. This place is lined with shelves and tables everywhere. There are 7 tables that I can see. And there's 5 people reading and looking at books in this room.

She tells me this is the main magic, gods and spells area. She points to the western side of the building, where they had been fighting before.

"Oh yeah, that's where people go to sparring. I like the outdoor area, it's a nice touch." I say trying to sound as if I'm catching up with what she's saying.

She giggles a little. "It's where people go to SPAR with each other, yes. You can go through that area into the weapons room as well where you'll find lots of weapons to practise with. If you're thinking about using your magic to fight, I would suggest you try it. There's also a lovely pool"

I think I said it wrong... I decide to let it slide. She tells me she has to go and return her Chakrams to the weapons room and then run some errands in the city. She tells me to start looking around and delve into reading as she heads off.

I say my goodbye to her as I go up to a shelf and bring down a random book trying to look interested until she's out of sight. I flip through some pages out of curiosity and I can't understand any of the words, but I recognize some of the scribbles. I see a few illustrations of monsters, some I don't recognize, some I do.

I decide to keep the book in my arms as I walk around, to look as though I fit in. Looking around the room there aren't as many people around as I thought there would be. And the people here all look incredibly invested in their books and what looks like research. I'm not sure any of them would be interested in teaching a 16-year-old mage to read... Has there ever been a mage that can't read?...

I feel a wave of shame hit me and I walk over to the octagonal room and as I stand looking at the six doors leading into different private spaces, I'm starting to think I might be able to teach myself... Maybe Vox can help... I have no clue how to get started when a hand falls on my shoulder.

I turn around and almost jump as I see Sky standing there. He has such a unique look, it will take some getting used to.

"Not sure what room to use ey? I like the fluffy cuddle castle, myself." He says pointing to the first room to the left that was filled with pillows and rugs everywhere.

I chuckle. "I'm not sure where to begin, is all." I don't want him telling Luria anything embarrassing. He seems nice enough though.

"I saw Luria had to do some more chores for the lord master. I reckon I'll be able to help you get started. I've got loads of time on my hands and I heard that you saved ol' Geoffie. So, whatever I can do to help. What's this?" He says as he pats me on the back and grabs the book I'm holding.

Reckon?... I guess it means something like I think', or I gather' from how he's using it. I've never heard his accent before.

"I thought I'd start somewhere..." I say as casually as I can while Sky reads the cover of the book. His face breaks out into a huge smile as he chuckles.

He looks at me and I can see he's holding back intense laughter. "You thought you'd start somewhere... so you begin with the encyclopedia of anal spells semi colon, open and willing...?!"

He can barely say the last few words before he breaks out into a loud laughter. I can see dimples forming on the side of his cheeks as he laughs, and tears are forming in the sides of his eyes.

My entire body goes stiff. Why did I have to pick that book...? I feel my face flushing red as I stutter. "Oh, I... um... took the wrong book..."

As his laughter dies down, he pats me on the back. "Whatever man, you do you. I'm not judging. Let's go into serious table room" He says as he leads me towards a door I hadn't opened yet.

As I open it and walk through it's a smaller room than the others. This has a burning fire place with a square table in front of it. It's more dimly lit and with a large bear rug on the floor.

He tells me to take a seat as he closes the door and using a quick draw of his hand over the handle on the door, I can hear it locking. It really is private in here.

Sky takes a seat opposite me and puts the book down on the table. "So, while Luria is off being a good lappie, I can take some time out of my busy day of sleeping to help a beginner mage. She's like a sister to me here in this foreign land. But I'll need to know some stuff about you. For starters, what element are you? What magic were you proficient in during your banishment? Do you have a familiar and are you a battle mage?"

A sister. Nice, so they're not romantic. But also, wow. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. Something about this white haired yellow eyed man is making me relax a bit. He seems to take things less seriously than most.

I make a judgement call to trust him. "Okay. Um... What's a lappie? Where are you from?" I start.

He smiles as he leans back in his seat and crosses his arms as he assesses me. "Lappie... I keep forgetting I'm not at home. It means lap dog. Luria is always running around for Master Castiell, more than I think she should. And about where I'm from... There's not a lot of my people around here so I understand that you haven't seen any before, but you should have learned to recognize the races in school, no?"

He sees right through me. Something about his stare makes me struggle to keep eye contact for long. I think this might be my best opportunity to be honest and get the help I need to become a better mage.

"My dad hated... Hates magic. So, I didn't go to school... I'm figuring things out as I go." I say looking at the table intensely with my head hanging low to avoid his gaze.

We sit in silence for a few moments before Sky straightens his back and slides the book back to me. "What's the name of the author for this book?" He taps the cover of the book.

I look at it and I'm feeling panic almost overwhelm me. I just want to run out of the room. Here I am in a library of all places, not knowing how to read and only an hour into being here someone has already figured it out...

I sit in silence as I stare at the book when Sky speaks.

"Okay... So, we have some serious work ahead of us. I'm sorry to hear about your dad being a magic hater. We don't have that where I come from, but I know it's common on the mainland. I'll teach you, yea. Don't worry. We'll get you up to speed in no time. I'd still like to know about your magic so we can get to know each other. Only if you want to though."

He looks up at me with a smile as his dimples show. His voice is very calm and smooth now. I still don't know what he is though.

"So, what race are you?" I ask. Still staring awkwardly at the book in front of me.

"Oh sorry. I'm from the floating isles of Saskia, the city of Triss. And I'm a fairy. A dark fairy to be exact. You can tell a dark fairy by the white hair." He says as he strokes his hair with his hand. "Light fairies have black hair."

He doesn't seem fazed with putting himself on display. I've never heard of fairies. Must be pretty uncommon around here.

"I can do all kinds of magic." I say as I try to remember his questions from before. Figuring if he's being nice and honest, I should be too. "The mage who did my banishment taught me some things, but I still feel quite lost... Um, I've never heard of a dark fairy. What else is different about your race?"

Sky stands up and turns around and drops his long coat down to his hands, so his entire back is exposed. His tanned skin is a bit darker than mine. He has broad shoulders and a lean waist. The most striking aspect of his body are two vertical black lines stretching across from his shoulder blades down and stops just above the lining of his shorts. The lines look almost like scars but there are black circling patterns that look as if they are escaping the vertical lines. It looks almost beautiful but also painful.

He turns his head as he speaks. "We have wings. We kind of need them to get from island to island. Dark fairies have horns and black wings and light fairies have tails and white wings."

He has wings in there? I've never heard of any race like that. He continues before I have a chance to react.

"The other most notable thing about us is that we can control our weight. It's a form of magic that all of us are born with. Look, hold your hand out like this." He says as he places his palm upwards above the table.

I do as he says. He takes a step up on the chair then he steps up on the table and places one sandal on my palm and then he balances his second leg in the air. I'm holding his entire body in my palm. He's standing upright, balancing in my hand and he weighs no more than an apple. This is weird.

"Proves, nothing, I'm just strong" I say with a smile as I look up at him and move my hand up and down to feel the effects of his ability. He truly weighs nothing...

He laughs and when I do an upward motion with my hand, he stretches his toes and jumps up in the air. He does an incredible backflip and places his fingers on the very edge of the table in front of me. He balances his body with his legs straight up. He stands like that for a second as his robe falls down on the table. He spreads his legs, so they go fully horizontal as he slowly lowers himself down in the chair with his legs stretched out in each direction. "I'm also very agile. But that's just me. Oh, we live about as long as you elves do."

Wow. I never would have imagined. Suddenly the increased physique of the elves and longevity seem almost bland in comparison.

"Very cool. I've never heard of your race. It would be nice to see where you come from." I say admitting to my complete lack of knowledge.

"If you didn't go to school, it's not very surprising. We are pretty much on the other end of Gaia. I would never have come here if it wasn't for this thing." He says as he puts his hand into an inner pocket of his coat and pulls out the staff he was fighting with before. It's tiny now. Before it had been longer than him but now it's the length of his hand.

His hand clenches around the shiny black staff and it starts to lengthen. I watch it grow to the length of the table. He lets it go onto the table and it quickly reverts back to its original tiny size.

I pick it up and feel it. It's smoother than any material I've felt. I thought it was some form of wood, but the texture reminds me more of stone, or metal. The edges of the staff aren't sharp but perfectly rounded off. I have to ask. "What is it?"

He smiles as he puts a finger on the staff, still in my hand. I feel it vibrate slightly as it starts to expand. "This is called a relic weapon. My god showed me an image of a journey I had to take and after several weeks on the road and many dangerous battles I finally found what I was looking for deep in the Gaelic Mountains. I had to carve it out from stone, but it was worth it." He let's go of the staff and it immediately reverts back to about 5 inches in my palm. "Relic weapons are unique to their owner. If you gain enough favour with your god, they will show you where to go and they will give you a weapon perfectly suited for you. Before I found `Cloud' here I was fighting with a spear, it was good, but I felt too constricted with it." He says as he taps his staff in my hand. "Let me show you how powerful a relic weapon can be."

He named his staff `Cloud'?

He takes it into both hands as he stands up beside the table. He extends the staff, so it become the length of his shoulders. The he does a jerking motion with his fists against each end of the staff and it breaks in the middle. A clean cut is made in the middle of the staff and suddenly a chain drops down attaching both ends of the staff together. He starts swinging the sticks up and down his arms and around his elbows as the chain keeping the staff together makes it swing wildly around in circles as Sky moves his arms in ways I've never seen before.

He stops and puts the two pieces together again and the chain simply disappears. Then he extends the staff, so it becomes almost as tall as him. Then the top of the staff changes shape and becomes a spear head. The head becomes a sharp spear and he holds it next to him and standing stiff like a guard.

I watch in amazement as he shows off his relic weapon.

The spear changes again and the tip becomes a sharp edge as I watch the top third of the staff turn into what looks almost like a sword. "What are all those weapons?" I ask as he swings the staff around.

"The chain staff is called nun chucks, then a spear of course then this bad boy is called a glaive. It's cool, huh. I love not being locked down to a single weapon. This gives me a lot of flexibility in how I fight."

Sky takes a seat again as he places Cloud on the table.

"So, you named it?" I ask with a smirk.

He kicks me under the table on my chin. "Oi, be polite. All cool men name their relics, man. Plus, I grew up loving clouds and Cloud here can change shape, just like `em."

I laugh a bit but I'm honestly incredibly impressed. I want one. I make a mental note to ask Vox later.

"So, you'll help me?" I ask hesitantly.

"Yea mate. I mostly spend my days lounging around, I don't enjoy reading as much as Luria does and most evenings I go to the tavern. Might as well do some good before I leave. So what magic do you prefer then if you are strong enough to do all four elements?"

"I'm not sure yet. I like all of them... The mage that helped me called me a Deviant Mage. My god's name is Vox and I've been trying to..."

I'm interrupted by Sky as he slaps his forehead with his palm. He groans in a clearly annoyed manner.

"Of course, you are. You had to be an illiterate, Deviant Mage dropping into my lap, didn't you? You can't just go around saying that to people Leon! Don't you read the news from the capitol... Oh shit. I guess not. Fuck! I'm sorry." He says as he nearly forgot that I can't read. "Ugh... I'm guessing you don't know then... There's an internal war happening between the Arch Mages and the kings of Gaia. The kings want to ban and possibly imprison all deviant mages."

"What? Why?" I nearly yell back.

He leans back and crosses his arms as he continues. "My understanding of it is that the Arch Mages believe that they can control the flow of education, information and access to spells. Much like this library. Only mages and the wealthy can afford to ever step in here. But the kings grow more and more concerned about attacks from the Dark Stalkers, the followers of Tyrion, the god of chaos."

"They killed my mother..." I say interrupting Sky.

"Fuck, sorry mate... They are bad news. But their attacks in major cities have made all of Gaia concerned over the power of deviant mages. There are rumors about incredibly powerful deviant mages out there. A god of time. A god of blood... They are just rumors, but It's enough to make people piss themselves in fear. Right now, you'd best not to disclose that you are a deviant mage to anyone. Especially Master Castiell. He'll inform the order of Arch mages and they will want to know exactly what he's the god of, what magic he's bestowed on you and so on. If they deem you dangerous, you'll disappear into a dungeon somewhere... or worse."

Oh, my Vox. What am I supposed to do? What if someone already knows. Everyone from my banishment knows. "What about the mage who helped me at the banishing and the others who were with me?" I say feeling panic rising. I need to know these things if I'm going to survive.

"You'll be alright. The mage doing the acceptance and banishment along with the others are all bound by their gods from ever saying anything. Even if they did, their gods will punish them in savage ways. No mage in their right mind would willingly do that. For one, they could never practise magic again."

His words calm me, but they only highlight how little I know.

"I know of the Dark Stalkers and I've heard about Tyrion. What dad never spoke about is why they attack and kill innocent people? What's the point?"

"I don't know the entire history of it. Followers of Tyrion are incredibly powerful in their own right. Where most mages can do very little basic magic from all four elements, they however, are able to use any element without restriction. They can also use spells from all elements and they seemingly have much larger reserves of magic than most. Which has caused immense fear within the world of mages. Hundreds of years ago Tyrion was celebrated along with the other known gods but back then the world was a lot bloodier. There were still wars going on between the races and all sides had mages as their ultimate weapons. Mages killed each other in battle constantly. As the world became more peaceful it was declared a capital crime to kill any mage, under any circumstance, due to their valuable status in society. And mages were banned from killing anyone unless under life threatening circumstances. Tyrion wasn't too pleased with this and his followers kept on murdering mages whenever they fought with others. Which caused Tyrion to become a banned god. They removed all images, books, and statues of him to ensure he became extinct with time. Which then only fueled more secrecy, death and destruction... Now here we are. The Dark Stalkers, as they call themselves, are now fighting for all gods to be celebrated, no matter what they are the god of. They also want the laws to change so they won't be executed for killing."

All I can think of, is how I killed 5 people already... Would I be executed if they found out? Ryan already knew. He said it was fine... It was me or them...

"Okay... I think I get it. So, from now on I'll keep my god a secret from others."

Sky nods at me. "Yea, and if you have to use magic in front of others, try to use only one element so it looks like you follow a god of that element. You can trust Luria with this information, when you want to tell her. But don't trust anyone else... You're lucky you told me. Now let's get out of here. I want to see what you can do with that muscular body of yours." He says as he stands up and unlocks the door with a wave of his hand.

"What do you mean?" I say as I walk through the door and he starts walking down the hall towards the main hall.

"Let's find out which weapon you like. Let's spar." He says with a grin.

He takes me down and out through the garden he and Luria had been sparring in before. Then through a wood frame arch that leads into a large room. The entire room is lined with a wooden rack and on top of it are countless weapons of different shapes and sizes. I see a sword and a metal buckler, I see spears, nun chucks that Sky showed me before, even the chakras that Luria were using are lying there. I guess they weren't her relic weapons.

Sky urges me to walk around and get a feel for which weapon I'm drawn to. He tells me it's mostly instinct on what you prefer.

I pick up the nun chucks, but they feel strange and I'm not sure how much damage they could do. They're pretty small compared to this huge broadsword laying here. I pick up the sword with both hands and it feels better. I'm a big guy and having a small weapon doesn't feel right somehow.

I put it down and pick up a spear, but I don't like the feel. Neither do I like a plain staff. I pick up the chakrams, they are beautiful with silver and gold etched into them, but I would have no clue how to use them. I put them back down. There are some daggers, but I know I'm fast but I'm not sure I'm fast enough for these. After fingering and playing with several weapons I pick up a regular sword and shield. It feels nice and balanced with an item in each hand, but I felt better with the broadsword.

I settle on that. I pick it up as I turn to Sky. He nods in approval. It's a pretty plain looking iron broadsword but as I hold it in front of me, I feel powerful. If I had something like this before, maybe I wouldn't have been stabbed by the thugs.

Over the course of the next hour or so Sky teaches me basic steps on how to move when fighting a singular opponent and the footwork is much harder than I would have thought. We spar with my sword and his staff a little in a very basic way as he teaches me some good moves. He told me that swords were never his thing so he's not an expert, but he can teach me basic strategy for different types of combat.

I never knew being a mage involved as much physical exercise as this. We both get a bit sweaty and eventually we stop. Sky tells me we should go for a swim and I agree. I feel a bit smelly. I would hate to bump into Luria now.

He guides me through a door inside the weapons room and as he opens it, we're in a darkly lit hallway with only one door at the other end.

As we reach the door Sky places his hand on the door handle and tells me that this is a magic door. If a man opens it, it leads to an all male swimming pool. If a woman opens it, it goes to an all female swimming pool.

I immediately ask him what would happen if a woman opened the door and a man walked through.

As I say this sentence, I hear Vox chuckling in the distance. Is he always listening? I didn't know gods were so hands-on.

Sky gives me a bump on my shoulder and smiles as he tells me he likes my thinking, but it would result in screaming women and getting banned from the library. So best not.

He opens the door and the pool is absolutely humongous! There are blue pillars sticking up around the stone floor and steps leading straight into the pool. There are grey wool cloth hanging over racks on the far side of the room to dry ourselves with. The pool has the shape of a large rectangle stretching the entire length of the room. I walk towards the edge and look down. The pool is deep too.

I look around and it's completely empty.

In a bold move I decide to show off a bit as I walk out onto the water while channeling my magic into my feet. I step lightly on the water's surface over to the other end of the room and pick up two wool cloths as I walk back over the water. Sky is staring at me as I do. I give him a smile and he claps his hand and smiles.

I give him one of the wool cloths as I take off my vest and pull down my white buccaneer pants, as Lana had called them. I step into the water as I look over to Sky who is just pulling down his shorts.

His body is tall and a balanced combination of lean and muscly. His firm pecs stand out quite a bit and he has strong thick biceps but his stomach is flat and although there is the slightest outline of abs, it's very faint.

As he pulls his shorts down, I get a good view of his groin and he's about as big as me, if not slightly thicker. His cock hangs down over his balls and it's a darker shade than the rest of his body, similar to his nipples. He doesn't seem to have any hair around his cock and balls either. Same goes for his chest. There's not even a trail from his navel down to his crotch. Nothing. Maybe it's a dark fairy thing.

He leaves his clothes on a stone bench and gets in.

The pool is deep and warm and I'm truly enjoying the feeling of this. Me and Sky play around a bit by splashing each other with water then he tells me to hold my breath. We both do as he grabs my arms and suddenly, we start sinking as our cocks float up against our stomachs. Sky suddenly weighs a ton and we sit on the pool floor for as long as we can before we jump back up to the surface and have a laugh. I'm feeling quite comfortable with him, he's so relaxed.

It seems much easier for Sky to stay afloat, I'm guessing he's manipulating his weight to make it easier.

I channel air magic coming out from under my feet in large amounts and as the entire space around me starts to bubble I pretend I farted and blush. Sky laughs so hard he accidentally swallows some pool water. His laughter fills the room as the echo bounces across every space.

We swim around for quite a while before we get up and dry ourselves off. I can tell that Sky is looking at me just as much as I'm looking at him. Not necessarily in a sexual way, just curios.

We get dressed and Sky tells me he's hungry and I am as well, so we decide to see if Luria is free to go and have a bite at the tavern.

We find her sitting in the octagonal room writing things down on a papyrus. She seems very focused and when we ask her, she turns us down saying that she had already eaten and was a bit behind on some of the work that she was doing.

Ends up being just me and Sky heading out. It's a shame but a part of me wants to avoid Luria until I can at least read. When we step outside, I'm surprised at how late in the day it was without me having realised it. The lights inside the library don't really change so it's hard to tell. We walk to the tavern and I pay for the meal and a beer for both of us, as thanks for all his help. He smiles wide and we sit and talk about magic, women and battles.

I learn that Sky is 22 years old and he left home when he was just 15 after becoming a mage. He tells me that all fairies have minor magic available to them. Earth and wind magic, but very few fairies actually have enough magic to be classified mages. He's been in loads of fights and he tells me about some of them as I listen in awe.

I ask him about something he had mentioned before that I nearly forgot about. Familiars.

He tells me that weaker mages are able to summon a physical creature, it can be either magical or non- magical. Once summoned they become the mage's familiar, for life. If the mage is strong enough a familiar will appear in spirit form and take shape from the spirit world. Having a familiar is helpful as they can fight with a mage in battle and they can lend their own magic for spells.

Spirit familiars come and go as they please, but physical familiars always linger near their mages he tells me. Seems that not every mage has a familiar at all. I never saw any animals around Aldur. Insects maybe, but no animals.

I ask him if he has a familiar and he tells me he does and promises to show it later, in private. I'm guessing it's not suitable for the public space we're in.

We have 2 tankards of beers each and I feel it hit my head slightly as we start to walk back to the library.

I notice we get lots of looks as people eye my exposed chest and abs and Sky's unique appearance.

When we get back to the library Sky leads me into what he calls the serious table room. Once inside he tells me to sit for a moment as he steps outside. I sit back in the chair contemplating everything I've learned. I was lucky to come across Sky. I'm pretty sure I would have reached out to the Grand Mage Castiell and asked for help with my Deviant God. I can't believe there is so much fear for these unknown gods... I wonder how many gods there are.

Sky returns and he's holding a book, several pieces of blank papyrus and ink and pen.

Before we start, he takes the ink and tells me to sit still as he draws a rune on each side of my temple. It's a rune to help mages remember and learn quicker. Apparently, all mages use them when studying but very few admit it, as it's considered less honourable to use magic to learn. I truly don't care, and neither does Sky.

We spend almost 2 hours discussing the alphabet and he goes through all the sounds and shapes with me one by one. I'm surprised at how much of it comes naturally. I've seen these letters in the village when going to the tavern or the traders. I must have been subconsciously been picking things up.

I already feel much more confident when we break for the day and I give sky a big thanks as I head home. It's already dark outside when I get home and I say a quick hello to the family as I make my way up to my room and crash. I'm so exhausted I feel myself slipping into sleep almost immediately when I'm pulled back to being awake at the last moment, by Milo stepping into my room.

He looks at me with a tired look. "Mom and dad wanted some grown up time and wanted me to sleep on the sofa in the basement, but I don't like it there. Can I sleep here?"

I'm not surprised those two lovebirds want some alone time once in a while. I guess I'll be nice and help them out. "Yeah sure buddy, come here." I say as I move my body to one side of the bed to make better room for Milo.

He gets in and before I'm able to make myself comfortable he grabs my left arm and uses it as a pillow while resting his left hand on my stomach. I'm guessing he's comfortable like this and I try to maneuver myself slightly to work around him.

Milo's nose is in my hairy armpit, can't be nice for him but he doesn't move. Instead he falls asleep within minutes.

It takes a little bit longer for me as I'm not used to sleeping in this position but eventually sleep takes me.

When I wake up Milo is already gone. I get up and work out by running along the river and I do some physical exercise until I'm dripping sweat. I wash myself and my clothes quickly in the river, I dry them by summoning a warm wind that envelopes me for several minutes as me and the clothes dry. I go back and share breakfast with the family. I bought some bread, some nice tea and a sweet dessert cookie from a vendor in the town square that Milo especially loved. I spend the entire day in the library practising reading, writing and fighting with Sky. Several days follow that structure. I ask Sky to show me his familiar, but he says he will at a later time. Luria is constantly busy running chores and one day I even bump into the Grand Mage Castiell, but I make a quick excuse and walk away before he has the opportunity to ask me anything. What Sky had told me about Deviant Mages getting locked up scared me. I don't want anything to do with the grand or Arch Mages. Master Castiell is a tall elf. He has almost porcelain white skin and dark brown eyes with white hair. He must be over 150 years old. I know that elves don't physically age between 30 years old and 130 years old. It's called the golden age of elves, where we stay at our prime. Elves that turn 131 start to age again and grey hair sets in around 150 or so. Master Castiell must be quite old. Ryan comes knocking on my door every 3 or 4 days to get a massage. I massage him and we jerk off together, but I never take it further, we don't kiss, although I struggle not to shove my cock into him and make him scream. I slapped his ass several times one evening as he was drunk, and I wanted to take out my frustration on him. His pink ass cheeks felt warm after my hands had slapped against them several times. He had tried to protest but I dragged his arms up behind his back like my dad had done to me as I shoved my hard cock against the crack of his ass, telling him that if he didn't behave, I would plow my thick dick into him without any warning. He moaned into the pillow as I jerked him off on his stomach with my oily hand wrapped under his balls and my other hand playing around his hole as he shot his cum into my bed. I never let Ryan leave without coating his lips in my cum, giving him instructions to lick his lips in front of his wife or his Crimson Legion. He did as I asked as I slapped his ass one last time before leaving, making him jump slightly from the soreness. I loved how powerful I felt. I knew it wasn't going to take long before I filled him with my seed, the urge was getting hard to ignore. I had gotten nowhere with Luria and my sexual urges were only being relieved with Ryan. After about 20 days of intense training I finally felt good enough to read properly. I still came across words I struggled with. Like i-n-q-u-i-s-i-t-i-o-n. The words I didn't know I asked Sky about and he helped me without ever making me feel stupid or dumb. He was really a great guy and a patient teacher. We were sparring pretty aggressively now and shared some fun magic exploration in the pool. One day I managed to use both air and water magic at the same time as I made a huge water bubble float around the room. I even managed to make a large enough bubble that it was able to carry Sky naked as he made his weight into nothing. He was floating around the pool inside the bubble as we laughed our heads off before the bubble popped and he plunged into the pool. Making me laugh even more. I learned to fire jets of air from my feet to propel me under the water from one end to another. I had noticed that Sky was very reluctant to use magic, but he tried and had fun swimming underwater with air coming out of his feet. But I never saw him do much else. It was starting to bother me. One evening Luria agrees for the first time to come and have dinner with us in the tavern. I pay for the food and drinks as had become custom, as Sky was teaching me so much. Me and Sky had gone to the tavern several times over the last 20 days, and I'd seen Sky pick up plenty of women and go home to get laid. He said it was how he managed his urges. Apparently, he despised self pleasuring and always wanted a lady to help him. He even told me he had been with men during desperate times. Which I understand as I've noticed the more sexually pent up, I am, the more aggressive I become towards Ryan and the less I care about the things I would normally. Sky is straight, like me but I think mages are sometimes not strong enough to care who they offload inside. As me, Sky and Luria are all enjoying a large roasted chicken, corn, peas and rice I look at Luria as I ask. "So, I've seen Sky's relic weapon, he's been shy about his familiar. But do you have one Luria?" She smiles as she pushes her elbow into Sky's side. "Sky here is magic shy at the best of times. I do have a familiar and I'd be happy to show you". She snaps her fingers and blue sparks fly as a green light appears. A small forest sprite shows up and flies around our heads. It reminds me of the forest sprite I saw as a kid. I can't quite make out the shape. It's the size of thumb and a green light is emanating from it. It lands on the table and as soon as it sets it's foot down, the wood around the sprite start to grow and tiny moss and roots starts to extend from the wood. Luria picks the sprite up in her hands and asks it to dim its light. It does, straight away and I can see that it's a tiny male sprite in her palm. He's tiny, with dark brown skin and green hair as he stands naked with a miniscule prick swinging between its legs. It looks cute. Despite being nude. Like a tiny adult man. I thought it would have wings, but the green light seems to be emanating from around it's entire body. "This is Ricci." She says as she holds him towards me. I'm not sure how impressed I am by familiars if these are it... It's so tiny... But I try my hardest to not let my disappointment show. I simply nod and greet the tiny thing. Luria lets him fly around for a few moments later before she snaps her fingers and he disappears. "Now, about my Relic Weapon, I don't have one but guess what?! I know where it is!" "Then what are you sitting here for? Get on then babe." Sky says as he gives Luria a bump on her shoulder. I nod in agreement. "Kelpie finally gave me the vision of where it is... It's pretty close. But you won't like it..." She says mostly to Sky with a drawn out `it'. Sky bangs his head against the table and leaves it there. "Don't tell me..." Luria rubs the back of Sky's head playing with his hair. "Yea, I'm afraid so". I have absolutely no clue what they are talking about. "Um... Care to explain a bit to the new guy". I say feeling a bit left out. "A god will only give you a vision to receive your Relic Weapon once they deem that you are ready for it. But they still make it hard for you, sometimes it's a very long journey, like it was for Sky here. And most often it's in an incredibly dangerous place... To prove I'm worthy of a god-made weapon I have to go south of Moorea into the Cave of Eternal Screams. It's just as nice as it sounds. The place is crawling with goblins. The Legion even refuses to go there. It's rumoured to be home to some unspeakable evil which is why everyone stays away. But as far as I know there are miles and miles of tunnels. No one really knows how deep the cave goes." Luria looks somber for a moment as if she's unsure about taking the risk. "I'll come with." I blurt out before I know what I'm doing. I'm not ready for this. I haven't learned any battle magic or any proper spells. I've been so focused on learning to read and fighting with a sword. Oh no, what have I done? Luria looks at me with a smile. "Only if you're sure about it. I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you because of me." She puts her hand on mine and gives my hand a slight squeeze as she looks at me with her bright blue eyes. Of course, I shall! No question about it. With her hand on mine I know there's nothing I can't do. "Yes, I wouldn't have it any other way" I say with all the confidence I gained in the last ten seconds. "I guess I can't let you do it alone. I'll come with. It'll give me a chance to flex my muscles a little as well. Plus, caves are my speciality after all" Sky says as he pats Luria on the back. Oh... I was hoping it would be just me and Luria, but I guess if this place is as dangerous as it sounds, then maybe all three of us are needed. Luria shines like a beacon of happiness. She immediately stands up. "You guys are just wonderful. I've got to run. I've prepared everything I need, so let's meet outside the library at dawn tomorrow and we'll head out. See you then. Bye" She turns and leaves in a rush. I look at Sky with a raised eye brow. "Did she just..." He gives me a nod. "Yeah mate! She totally just played us. She knew we would offer all along. But here we are. About to go on a quest for a damsel. I'm not about to back down... Are you?" I shake my head as me and Sky share another look and laugh a bit to ourselves as we pick up our tankards and cheer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I decide to find Ryan to let him know that I'll be away for... I'm not even sure how long. I walk to the western entrance to Moorea. This place hosts a large stable with lots of horses and opposite the stable is the Legions' headquarters. I walk in and there are a handful of guards. Some are in metal uniform and some are in casual wear. Seems as though they live here. I can see multiple hallways and doors from the main entrance where there are mostly tables and chairs. A guy in casual wear approaches me and asks what my business is. He has a commanding voice and a stern face as he looks me up and down. I tell him I'm here to see Ryan, I have a message for him. The man questions who I am but I tell him I'm a mage who's worked with Ryan before. That shuts him up and he walks down one of the hallways. Later on, he comes back with Ryan just behind him. Ryan seems confused at the fact that I showed up at his place like this. I quickly tell him that I'll be going into the Cave of Eternal Screams with some other mages and that I'll be away for a few days. I'm just wanting to be polite to the man who's given me access to library which has already given me so much in a short amount of time. He begs me not to go the Cave. He tells me he's lost good men in failed rescue missions to that cave before. Before I'm able to defend my decision, a woman walks up and takes Ryan's arm. It's his wife. She introduces herself as lady Eliza. She clearly must have noticed the tone of our conversation as I can feel her studying me closely. In a defensive response I tell her that I work with Ryan as a mage for hire and that I was just coming to report my absence for the next few days as I was heading out of town with my girlfriend. Blatant lie... I wish Luria was my girlfriend... She nods and I act as much like a soldier as I can. I shake Ryan's hand and turn to walk away. He's unable to protest any further as he watches me leave. Once I'm back home I decide to jerk off as I need a release, it's been several days since last, but again, I'm interrupted by Milo waling into the room. He's slept next to me about 5 days in the last few weeks. I'm guessing I've become like an older brother to him and although I don't mind, he seems to always come when I'm at the peak of my horniness. I even had to carry him downstairs one evening when Ryan came by late at night. He gets into bed and I make sure to pull my arms tight so he can't sleep on it. I struggle sleeping well when he does. He's always drooling and moving around, making it hard to fall asleep. He get's into bed and we fall asleep. As I drift off, I hope I'll be woken up by Ryan. I really need a release. **************************************** I walk up the stairs to Leon's room and I put my ear to the door like I do most nights now. Mom and dad think it's cute that me and Leon have become so close. He plays with me by the river some mornings before breakfast and I've gotten to see him work out. Building those strong muscles of his. One day he even taught me how to do some stuff, so one day I can become as strong like him. As I have my ear to the door, I hear Leon panting and I know it's time. I open the door and rub my eyes, pretending I'm really tired. He always puts his penis away really quickly, but I know he was pulling on it like he does every few days. I've learned that if I interrupt him, he'll go to sleep, and his penis will leak a little white. If I play with it some more, it will leak a lot. Leon moves away from me as I jump up onto the bed. I pretend like I'm really tired and I try to sleep on his arm, but he quickly says good night and turns his back to me. I don't know why he does that. I can't reach very well when he does... I wait until I hear him starting to breathe heavily and I know he's asleep. I learned a trick one of the nights I was sleeping here. If I put my finger on his hip, where you can feel the skeleton and push it towards me, he will flip himself on his back in his sleep without waking up. I do just that, and Leon is quickly on his back, still breathing heavily. Leon sleeps in his white pants but the material is so light that when he lays like this, I can see his entire penis as the fabric falls on his crotch. His vest is hanging on a chair nearby, so his muscular chest is bare, and I lay watching his abs move up and down as he breathes in his sleep. I move my hands over his muscles. He's so strong. He moves his left arm and puts it over his head. He's still sleeping. I see into his armpit and he's hairy there too and his arm muscle looks so much bigger from underneath. But I know what I want. I move my left hand down his hard abs as I lift the lining of his pants. I go down and grab his penis. It feels nice like this, all squishy, warm and soft. I move his penis, so it points up. His penis sticks up from his pants and the tip lays soft against his belly. I see a little white on the tip as I take my finger and tap it. I immediately suck on my finger and it tastes so good. This is all I want. Everyday. I find myself thinking about Leon's white when I'm at school, when I'm playing in the river. Almost all the time. I know how to get more. I move my body as slowly as I can, so I'm sitting on my knees facing Leon. I poke Leon on his nipple a few times to make sure he's asleep. He doesn't move. I've learned that he sleeps really heavily. He's worse than dad. He even snores sometimes. I put my right ear on his navel as my lips meet the tip of his penis as I start to lick him inside his foreskin, slowly. As always, his penis grows bigger and bigger. I keep my head in the same place and suddenly his penis has grown so much the head is inside my mouth. His penis is so big, I can only get very little into my mouth. But I know that if I move my tongue around, more white comes out. I lick his piss hole up and down and more white starts leaking, and I leave it on my tongue. It tastes so wonderful. I feel it going into my whole body. When I have Leon's white, I feel so much better the next day. Like I'm stronger, more awake and I have so much energy. Mom doesn't like it. She says I'm too hyper. I lay there licking his penis for a while until I feel Leon's stomach start moving up and down more and I stop. I don't know what happens, but after licking his penis for a while he always starts to breathe funny and his stomach moves and down and bangs into my head. I'm afraid he will wake up, so I stop. I put my head on his big chest as I listen to his heart, it always beats fast when I'm done licking him. But I hear it slowing down and the rhythm of his heart makes me fall asleep. **************************************** ****************************************Next Episode Coming Soon...
