Jean-Claude, Brendan and Kevin waited in the wings, the hallway between the front door and living room, listening to Emre lash out in his native tongue.

"Are you sure we shouldn't like do something?" Kevin asks.

Hearing the tone of the conversation escalate, apparently Gazi replying to accusations by his brother, the trio in the hallway smile at each other when hearing a hint of the heated confrontations, Emre mentioning `whore'.

"Are you getting down some notes for your crisis prevention seminars, Brendan?"

Brendan replies to Jean-Claude, "I don't think this is how it should go?"

"Then don't you think we should like interrupt them?" Kevin asks again. With his head poking around the corner of the doorway, Brendan's hand grabs him at the collar. "Heeeeeey!"

"Leave... them... alone!" Brendan replies. Next thing, Brendan folds his fingers in the back of Jean-Claude's belt line, hauling him backwards.

"Hmm... " Jean-Claude looks over his shoulder.

About to say something, Brendan is stifled when the calm comes after the storm. Prior to the outbreak, the four had walked into Jean-Claude's condo, Gazi tossing his duffel bag to Brendan. Already gunning for his brother, Emre's adrenaline rush fueled his muscles, taking the bag and throwing it against Gazi's back, causing his bod to fall forwards, ride over the back of the sofa. From there he recovered, at the same questioning his brother's motives.

In their native tongue, Turkish, Emre spelled out some of the things Brendan already had on his mind, communicated to Jean-Claude and Kevin in the car, how things should go on the return trip with Gazi in tow.

Gazi didn't take lightly to his younger brother, issuing demands like, chores', curfew', monitored internet access' and visiting' guys. Twice Emre removed Gazi's feet from the coffee table, thinking Gazi was getting a little too relaxed already.

"You think the air has cleared?" Jean-Claude questions `the expert'.

Brendan replies, "I think it's safe to assume."

First one out of the hallway, Brendan and Jean-Claude hasten their steps after Kevin.

"Sounds like World War III in here. So like what's happening?"

With Kevin doing the asking, it left Jean-Claude and Brendan with the option of listening instead of speaking.

In total surprise, Brendan and Kevin likewise, they don't know how Emre got through to Gazi, but the twenty-five year old approaches Jean-Claude, extends a hand and replies to his wonderment, "I would like to thank you for allowing me to stay here. I promise and make effort to do good." Then Jean-Claude's attention is drawn to Brendan as Gazi side steps to the left, "I will go to program," he says, "and maybe find good man and..."

"Gazi?" Emre questions.

Kevin is wondering what Emre has over his brother, to dictate such control. He knew he would find out sooner or later.

"I maybe get to be better human?" Gazi repairs his statement.

Then it's Brendan offering a handshake and, "If you apply yourself you will be surprised how your life can turn out for the good."

"Now for the good part?" Kevin says, rubbing his hands together in a cunning manner. With question on Brendan's and Jean-Claude's face, Kevin asks, "I thought maybe you should tell Gazi what his chores will be?" Of course Kevin's concern was what Gazi would be doing to alleviate his and Emre's chores!

He felt kind of lost afterwards so Jean-Claude suggested the five of them take a walk down to the beach. Same time, he figured he could follow up on Kevin's and Emre's research into starting up their surfing hobby.

"Oh look how nice sun comes off the water," Emre said of the sun's mirror, broken into millions of tiny pieces when it's rays hit it head on.

"Very nice," Gazi replied, yet his attention seemed to be to the sides of him, up and down the coastline.

Brendan and Jean-Claude exchanged glances and smirked, seeing Gazi checking out the bare-chested boys!

"Hey!" Kevin draws their attention, "There's the guy from the `Surfboard Hut'."

Suddenly Gazi's attention is drawn from sand to surf, peering in the direction everyone else looks.

"He's a real pro alright!" Brendan exclaims, his knowledge from his own surfing days plus going on what Kevin and Emre have talked on about, information passed along at the time of their finding out the cost of the upstart of their new hobby.

Kevin and Emre flashed long distance smiles, seeing the Surfboard-Hut-dude launch himself off of his surfboard, park it upright in the sand with a giant stab and jogging towards them.

"I think I take up surfing!" Gazi said, his eyes glued to the raving blond beauty.

With a French twist to his accent he greets Kevin and Emre with a hug. "Oh I'm so sorry. I always forget I have just come from the ocean. Sorry about the `wet'."

Quick introductions, D'Artan Mesquit shook hands.

Lastly, Emre introduces, "This my brother Gazi."

Like the name `Mozart', D'Artan greets him as if in Salzburg, "Gazi, it's nice to meet you."

Overlooking the infraction, Gazi takes the hand offered and responds, "It nice to meet you. Maybe you show me how to surf?"

News to Jean-Claude and Brendan of Gazi's endeavor, but by the way Gazi's eyes lingered, was it any wonder?

Then they began thinking about D'artan's motives, when he asks Gazi, "Would you like to see some boards?"

"Oh brother!" Kevin says to Emre.

Trying to cut a joke, Emre says, "Too bad D'artan did not see me before you, Kevin?"

Kevin thought he got it, but wasn't sure what Emre exactly meant. Whatever, he laughed it off and thinking about it, commented, "What? My cock's not good enough for you?"

Again Emre alluded to `the cows coming home' and Kevin thought if he was confused before... he was still confused!

Leading them to his boardwalk surfing shop, Gazi didn't miss a move as D'artan moved about the shop, showing off surfboards which could be snatched up for a very small fortune, but not to forget the ones standing up in the back of the shop, the ones D'artan usually saved for the finale. Gazi was a little disappointed when D'artan hoisted a tank top overhead and let it settle across his pecs, flattening it over his taut abs.

"And here gentleman are the elephant guns and the rainbow chasers!"

All through the tour of the Surfboard Hut, Gazi seemed to chase after D'artan, keeping up with every move, lest he miss a chance to view under the O'Neill tank top or up a leg of the Quiksilver shorts, via tying a sneaker lace. The ultimate would be to get a hint of D'artan's pipeline!

"Looks expensive," Jean-Claude says, almost seeing his reflection in the lacquer. "What does this one go for, a coupla thousand?"

On their first visit, Kevin and Emre learned enough to know Jean-Claude wasn't even in the same ballpark. As for Brendan, he just knew!

"Um no, J-C," D'artan picked up on Kevin's abbreviation, "I think the price of this board would half empty your savings account!"

Jean-Claude hardly thought so, calling D'artan's bluff, "How much?"

"$650,000?"

They were all prepared for Jean-Claude to shoot through the roof, but he handled it casually, "Well I don't know about wiping it out, but it sure would do some damage!"

Neither of them were prepared for the answer. Sure, Kevin knew Jean-Claude had `some' loot in the bank, but nowhere close what he thought the surfboard was worth. Emre just had no clue.

Brendan had put some thought to it, but figured there were more important things than money in accordance to where this relationship seemed to be headed.

Gazi, his mind was elsewhere.

As for D'artan, "So how many would you like, J-C?"

"Oh, you'll never get me up on one of those toothpicks!"

It gave way to laughter, all enjoying in the hilarious remarks. Gazi laughed along until his and D'artan's eyes met, him quickly changing to another subject, the black, rubbery gear hanging from hooks.

"Interested in scuba diving?" D'artan addresses Gazi, who looked upon the black outfitted gear.

"No, I think maybe I will try surfing."

The others scattering, Kevin and Emre led their benefactor over towards the moderately priced boards.

D'artan uses his best salesman-ship, pitching to Gazi, "Say, I've got a board out back you might be interested in?"

"Cheap?" Gazi asks.

"Very. Almost next to nothing."

"Hmm," Gazi replies, still not able to figure where D'artan is going with this. He does the usual when he's bewildered by another guy leading, rubbing his index finger over his close-cropped stache, then running it down over his lips, down over the stripe from his lip to the bottom of his chin, then off the chin. Thinking he's reading him correctly he says, "Maybe we can make deal?"

"Oh I'm sure of it!" D'artan seals it with flashing his brightie-whities.

Totally drawn in by the foray of blond, blue-eyed spectacle he doesn't even pay mind to D'artan yelling across the shop that he would be back in a few minutes, regardless if it meant twenty or forty-five!

Five minutes later Emre misses his brother's presence, "Where is Gazi?"

"I wonder?" Jean-Claude replies, his unnoticed glimpse towards the backyard exit.

Kevin and Brendan get the gist of Jean-Claude's semi-serious questioning. Rather than having Emre get all riled up over it, Kevin steers him to the notion, "Perhaps Gazi had to take a leak?"

He bought it, hook, line and sinker, Kevin coaxing Emre back to the Funboards.

Alone in the shop, the four get separated into pairs.

"So, don't you think we should check out the stockroom?"

"Rule number fifty-six of crisis prevention, Jean-Claude.... Sometimes you've got to let nature take it's course!"

So Jean-Claude let nature take it's course, his hand slipping in between Brendan's tee shirt and belt.

"Um, the kiddies?" Brendan reminds, reaching behind him and prying the hand out.

Standing his ground, Jean-Claude forces his digits back in, "Kevin and Emre are like waaaaaay over on the other side of the shop."

"Hmm," Brendan said, giving in, but with caution, "I'll let you know if I start getting a boner. Wouldn't want to be responsible for knocking over a surfboard!"

"I wonder how many surfboards Gazi has knocked over!"
