The Day Before Tommorow (4) - Healing the Wounds
Nick looked up from his magazine and adjusted the air conditioning vent in the ceiling. Smiling to himself, Nick envisioned Lance, his Lance. They would be apart for awhile, but that would just give them a chance to prove their love for each other. Sliding open the window shade, Nick let the golden sun stream in through the window. Looking out, Nick peered down at the clouds, looking like little white dots far below. Glancing over to his right, Nick watched Brian as he slept, the sun dancing on his face and making his hair look like liquid gold. Nick slid the shade back down, hoping to give Brian a chance to get some sleep.
Brian woke up suddenly, shivering. Dreams about JC popped into his head at the strangest times, suddenly making him wake up in a sweat. Looking over at Nick, now back to his magazine, Brian sat up, trying to get a glance at what Nick was reading. Being unsuccesfull, Brian sat back in his seat, falling quickly back to sleep, leaning on Nick's shoulder.
Nick looked up from his reading quickly enough to watch Brian fall back asleep and then rest his head on his shoulder. Picking up the pillow from underneath the seat, he softly repositioned Brian's head on it so he didn't wake up with a crooked neck. Resting his head on the other side, Nick fell asleep to Brian's rhythmic breathing.
"That's us," Justin said as he heard their flight being called. "Come on guys, we have to get on, it's first class and families with children."
Chris groaned and pulled himself up. "Alright already, I'm coming. I have no idea why you still get so excited with flying Curly. We've only been on sixty planes a year."
Justin pulled Joey out of his chair roughly and woke Lance up. "COME ON," Justin practically yelled. "You guys are a bunch of stupid layabouts."
"Goddamnit Just, you still act like a little six year old," Lance groaned shutting his magazine and sitting up.
Each of them grabbing their carry-on bags, they made their way up the jetwalk. Justin immediately chose the window seat, Chris and Joey filing in next to him. JC and Lance sat in the row behind them.
Lance fastened his seatbelt and peered excitedly out the window. The plane taking off was always a rush for him. "Josh, isn't this exciting?" Lance asked like a child in a toystore.
"Shut up Scoop," JC muttered, smiling slightly at Lance's childish whims.
"OH MY GOD," Lance screamed like a little girl. "Joshy, I think that's the first REAL smile you've had today. What's on your mind?"
"Lots of stuff," JC said thinking of Brian. "You know, when you left Nick, you knew you would be away, but you'd get back together. I'll never be with Brian."
"Come on JC, you know you guys will have some time together pretty soon? Look, why don't just the two of us and Justin go and visit them some time. That way I can see Nick and you can see your baby too."
JC turned away as a tear slid down his cheek. "Well, my BABY dumped me."
Lance turned sharply. "You guys broke up? Oh my god Josh, I had no idea, I'm so sorry." Lance rubbed JC's back.
"It's always me that gets shaken off like a piece of trash. Never you guys, the blonds of the group are always get everything, all the girls, guys, and attention," JC said, feeling a strange tingling in his back as Lance rubbed aross it.
"You know that's not true Josh," Lance said encouragingly. "You're a real cute guy, just look at the polls from the mags. They all have you above me? Come on, don't be so low. Someone else'll come into your life, you'll see."
JC smiled broadly at Lance. Somehow, Lance always managed to make him smile. To bad he's taken, JC thought while drifting off to sleep.
FLASHBACK
"JC, mind if I borrow your black shoes? I need some for the concert tonight," Lance yelled at JC.
"Alright Lance, I'm coming," JC said picking his shoes up off the floor. Opening the door to the bedroom, JC dropped the shoes on the floor. Lance stood in the middle of the room, just a towel wrapped around his waist. His blond spikes were wet and layed down flat on his head from his recent shower. JC felt the humidity from the bathroom pouring into the room, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't take his eyes off Lance.
"Oh, JC, I just wanted to ask you a few questions, you know, you're almost like an older brother to me," Lance said sitting down on the bed.
JC walked over and sat beside him, catching the powerful smell of Lance's natural body scent combined with that of the shampoo he always used. "Shoot Scoop, I'm all ears," JC said.
"I was just in the shower, and uh, wondering, um, how do two guys do it?"
JC's mouth fell open, and Lance reached over and shut it. Wiping the water from Lance's wet hand off his chin, JC took a second to recover. "Um, uh, what do you want to know that for?" JC asked a little shakily.
"I dunno, where do you put it?" Lance said pointing to JC's crotch. "I mean, I know how a blow job works, but can you actually have sex with another guys and have it feel like sex with a woman?"
JC turned bright red as he started to explain. "Well Lance, if you have to know, you stick it in the other persons, you know, ass." Averting his eyes, JC managed to make it sound 'casual'.
"Shit," Lance said, his eyes wide. "Damn that must hurt."
"Yea, but you get used to it, and, well, it feels good and stuff," JC said awkwardly, then the realization of what he said sunk in.
"And how might you know this?" Lance asked smiling curiously.
"Uh, I, ah, gotta go," JC said running out of the room, slamming the door behind him.
END OF FLASHBACK
JC woke up from his dream abruptly. Glancing over at Lance, who hadn't noticed anything unusual, JC wiped the beads of sweat from his forhead.
"James," JC started slowly.
Lance looked up from reading. "Yea J?"
"Lance, do you remember the time you asked me how two guys have sex?" JC started.
"Yea," Lance said giggling. "And I remember how you distinctly ran out of the room when I asked you how you knew about it!"
JC blushed again, almost as bright as he had when Lance had fired him the questions. "I guess I just had a dream about it."
Lance looked up wide eyed and then started laughing. "And I suppose instead of running out of the room, we continued to have wild passionate sex on the floor?"
"Unfortunately, no," JC said grinning. "But I just remember that so well."
"Yea, sometimes the best memories in life stay with you forever."
JC didn't know whether to read into that, or just let it go. Deciding that Lance never thought much about what came out of his mouth in the first place, JC tried to get to sleep, hoping he wouldn't have any more dreams.
Nick opened his eyes quickly as he heard the plane bump and start its decent. Reaching over, he fumbled with Brian's seatbelt, managing to click it shut. Trying to pick up some of the garbage that had accumulated around him, Nick got on his hands and knees, trying to reach the wrappers underneath Brian's chair. The plane jerked as it decended. "Shit," Nick said softly as he bumped his head on the seat. Crawling up, he attemped to get back to his seat, but the plane jerked again, throwing Nick's head right into Brian's lap. Brian woke up quickly. Looking down, he almost had a heart attack. Nick had his head tightly wedged between Brian's legs. "OH MY GOD," Nick yelled as the plane jerked again, throwing his face right into Brian's crotch.
AJ, Kevin, and Howie peered over the seat. "YOU GUYS," AJ whined. "Kevin, make him stop."
"Nick, for one thing, this is not proper behavior for public, and second, what would Lance think?" Kevin lectured.
Brian and Nick both stared up at Kevin. "It was an accident. I was trying to pick up trash and I got knocked into his lap," Nick explained.
Howie covered his mouth, trying to stop from laughing, but AJ didn't bother. Kevin rolled his eyes and they sat down and buckled their seatbelts.
Brian's belt had come undone, and he buckled it again, as Nick returned to his seat. Nick giggled a little as he looked at Brian's perplexed face.
MY GOD, Brian thought to himself. Quickly adjusting the lump in his pants. Being that close to Nick just turns me on like that? I can't be falling for him, besides, he has Lance.
The fasten seatbelt light switched off with a ping as they landed, and Brian stood up to stretch his legs. Pulling his bag from under the seat, he waited patiently until the aisle was clear and then followed AJ, Kevin, and Howie out through the jetwalk to the airport.
"Alright guys, we have 5 hours until our connecting flight to Orlando. NO getting drunk, high, and NO fucking," he said. "Okay, go have fun."
"Nick, you want to go grab a bite?" Kevin asked. "I mean, we really haven't had a good chat for awhile."
"Sure Kev, Bri, why don't you go with AJ and Howie?"
"Alright, se ya'll later," Brian drawled out, his thick southern accent coming through.
Nick watched as he left with AJ and Howie, and then turned back to Kevin. "I miss him," Nick said plainly. "I miss everything about him. His smile, his touch, his taste, his smell. I don't think I'll get through this."
Kevin smiled at the younger man's sentiments. "I know sweetypie, and I miss Justin something awful," Kevin said.
"Kev, I'm a little worried," Nick started. "I got this feeling while being around Brian, I don't know what it is."
"Now Nick, you have to be careful. You love Lance, right?" Kevin asked. Nick nodded. "Alright, then think with your heart, not with your 'you know what'," Kevin said grinning.
"Alright Kev, thanks," Nick said smiling back. "Let's just sit on these chairs here," he said swinging his backpack down. "I just wanna get a little rest."
"Alright Blondie, I'm going for a soda, you want?" Kevin asked slinging his bag down into the seat beside Nick.
"Yup, Sprite please," Nick said while digging in his bag.
Pulling his discman and headphones out, Nick pulled his knees up to his chest and inserted the No Strings Attached. Closing the lid of the player and inserting the plugs into his ear, he clicked to track six and put it on continual play.
Nick teared up a little as he thought of Lance, wishing he was there with him now. Pressing his head into his chest, Nick allowed his blond hair to fall over his face, concealing the lonliness he felt inside. "Goddamnit," he whispered as tears started to fall faster.
Kevin watched as Nick started to cry. Placing his drink on the floor beside him, Kevin rubbed Nick's back slowly. "I'll die without him here," Nick sobbed. "I didn't know how much I'd miss him."
"I know how you feel. Life without Justin makes me feel like I'm being eaten up," Kevin said sadly. "I just hope we get a chance to see them soon."
4 MONTHS LATER. . . . .
"Alright guys, you've got a, hmmmm. . . . a one month summer break, then a tour," Kevin said flipping through the plan book.
"Kev, is there any chance we can go see Justin and Lance?" Nick asked softly.
Kevin turned to face Nick. "Sweety, I know you want to see him, but we've gotta wait. We'll be on break in a week."
"I miss him so much," Nick said sadly. "Not just the sex, but the love and him by me and everything."
"I know, sex was always good with Justin," Kevin said fantasizing about their past encounters. "Have you, you know, jacked off or anything since Lance?"
Nick stared at the ground, turning a little red. "Nope, I mean, I wanted to wait until I saw him again."
"Awww," Kevin said ruffling Nick's hair. "That is SOOO sweet. Now, get your ass in gear. We have a photo shoot and then one more concert."
"Don't tell me you don't miss Justin," Nick said trying to straighten his hair to the perfection he HAD to have it.
"I miss Justy something afwul," Kevin said grinning.
"Just like ya said, just one more week."
"Justin, this is NOT funny," JC yelled. "Have you seen my sandels?"
"Um, I think, I (giggle) saw them somehwere over by the (cough, giggle) bathroom," Justin said stifling his laughter.
"Don't give me shit Just, I KNOW YOU HID THEM!" JC yelled running around. "Goddamnit, we have one minute until this interview, you chicken-shit."
JC ran over to the bathroom and promptly wedged his toe between the door and the wall. "OOOOOWWWWWWWW," JC yelled. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT JUSTIN!," he screamed holding his toe.
Justin pulled JC's shoes from behind his back. "OHHHHH, I see, you're looking for THESE," he said dramatically. "I found them lurking insubordinately next to your bed."
"They were SUPPOSED to be next to my bed dipshit," JC said grabbing his sandels and slipping them on.
RING RING RING
"Justin, get that," JC yelled while searching for his wallet.
"Hello?"
"JUSTIN YOU PIECE OF SHIT, GET DOWN HERE!," Lance yelled. "The limo's here and we're all ready!"
"Alright, calm down. We've just had a slight problem with JC's shoes, but he's found them now. We'll be there in a sec."
"Justin, I'm not taking this shit from you. You ALWAYS make us late and-,"
CLICK
Justin cut Lance's lecture short. "Alright, I'm ready," JC said panting for the door. "Who was that on the phone?"
"Just Lance," Justin said absentmindedly. "He wanted to make sure we were coming down."
JC pushed the elevator button, and they got in. "I hope I get to see Kevin soon," Justin said wistfully.
"You and him sure worked out well," JC said coldly thinking of Brian.
"You know you'll find someone else," Justin said apologetically. "You're a really sweet guy, and if there wasn't Kevin, you'd be the object of my affection."
JC blushed a deep crimson. "Thanks Just, you know how to make me smile."
The elevator opened and JC and Justin rushed through the lobby and piled into the limo.
"Sorry," JC said breathlessly apologing to Lance. "I couldn't find my sandels."
"Alright, that's fine," Lance said blankly as the limo pulled away. "When are we gonna see the Backstreet Boys again?" he asked casually.
"Ahem," JC coughed lightly. "Restatement please."
"I mean, when do I get to see Nick," Lance said looking at the floor.
"I was planning to fly over and catch Kevin by surprise at their concert. Wanna come with?" Justin asked Lance.
"GREAT, that would be wonderful!" Lance said. (BIG SMILE!!)
"I'm coming too," JC said sadly. "I just want to see Brian and tell him I love him."
"I thought you and Brian were broken up?" Lance asked confused.
"Yea, we are. I just want to let him know despite him shaking me off, I still care about him. . . . a lot."
"Hey man, don't take it personally," Lance said smiling at JC. "Mr. Right will come along someday. Just you wait."
JC looked out the window, tears forming in his eyes. "No, Mr. Right already came along. He just doesn't want me."
"Calm down Nick, you'll be fine," Kevin said massaging the knots out of Nick's shoulders.
"I KNOW Kevin, but I haven't performed 'I Need you Tonite' in soooo long. I don't even know if I can hit those notes anymore."
"Just think of Lance while you're singing. Imagine you're singing it to him."
"Alright, that should take care of it," Nick said laughing as he pictured Lance's angelic face.
"OK, go get-em," Kevin said and smacked Nick's ass as he left the room.
"HE-EY," Nick groaned rubbing his ass. "N-ways, we all gotta do 'Larger than Life' first, and I get to watch you fall on your ass again."
"That was NOT funny," Kevin said thinking of the time he'd fallen at a performance. "That must have been the most humiliating thing I have ever done in my life."
"Come on Kevin, with a face like yours, going out in public must be just awful," Nick said sarcastically pinching Kevin's cheek and running out of the room.
"AND NOW. . . . . THE BACKSTREET BOYS," the announcer's voice boomed through the speakers.
Nick ran out on stage along with the rest of the group, AJ performing his trademark laugh as the beginning strains of 'Larger than Life' pumped through the speakers.
"Damn-it," Lance said pulling his 4-runner sharply into a parking space. "I knew we'd be late."
"Alright, come on you guys," JC said pulling Justin and Lance toward the doors.
"Excuse me, the concert has already started boys," the man at the gate said eyeing Justin, Lance, and JC evilly.
"Excuse me, I'm Justin Timberlake, and these are my friends Joshua Chasez and Lance Bass," Justin said motioning to JC and Lance.
"Oh, sorry boys, go right on through," the man said blushing a little.
"COME ON," Justin said hurrying down the stairs to their row.
"IT IS SO GODDAMNED NOISY IN HERE," JC managed to yell over the screaming girls.
"I KNOW, ISN'T IT?" Justin yelled back. They took their seats, and immediately set their eyes on the objects of their affection, Justin on Kevin, Lance on Nick, and JC on Brian.
Larger than Life ended, and Brian quickly got the attention of Kevin. "Isn't that Lance, Justin, and JC?" he asked quizzically.
Kevin peered out into the audience and then a happy smile made its way across his face. "Yup, that's them," he said, the grin pasted across his face permanently.
"Nick, hey, Nick," Brian whispered, but was unable to get Nick's attention. "Brian, MOVE BACK," Kevin said harshly as the introduction for 'I Need You Tonight' came through.
Sighing, Brian moved back into the darkness under the curtains as the spotlight focused on Nick, who stood alone on the stage. Looking up at the ceiling, Nick pictured Lance, his beautiful face giving him courage.
Open up, your heart to me And say, what's on your mind I know that we have been through so much pain But I still need you, in my life This time,
Nick sang, his voice cutting through the still air perfectly, raising the hairs on the backs necks. Taking in a sharp breath, Nick sand the chorus, almost pleading for Lance to come to him.
I need you tonight, I need you right now I know deep within my heart Doesn't matter if it's wrong or right
Nick sang the rest of the song, his voice mixing and blending in perfect harmony with the rest of the group. Preparing himself for the last line, he got down on his knees, holding the microphone for dear life.
All I know is baby I really need you Tonight
As the music ended, Nick gazed out into the audience and immediately locked on to a pare of beautiful emerald eyes. His soul calmed, Nick gazed at his lover, a huge smile coming across his face. Not hearing the screaming fans, he walked back into the half-circle with the other guys wearing a silly grin.
Kevin looked over and winked, flashing him a thumbs up.
The rest of the concert went unaventfully. After finishing, Nick went backstage to sign autographs. Nick's mind wandered from the signing to Lance. Repeatedly writing his name was NOT Nick's idea of a good time. His eyelids drooping, Nick picked up the slip of paper.
"Whaddya want on it," Nick asked dully, not looking up.
"How about, to your boyfriend. I want it to say, I love you forever," Lance said sweetly.
"Alright," Nick said sleeplily, beginning to write. Suddenly, what the man had asked him to write registered and Nick's head snapped upwards.
"LANSTEN!" he shouted and pulled Lance into a hug. "My god baby, I thought I was going to die," Nick said crying and laughing at the same time, drawing amused glances from the fans in the room.
"Do we have some catching up to do or what?" Lance said smiling as he entwined hands with Nick.
Justin walked over to where Kevin was standing smiling at his bandmates reunion with his boyfriend.
"And I don't get as much as a hug," Justin said pouting. Kevin whirled around sharply. Pulling Justin into a bonebreaking embrace, Kevin felt all the fatigue and sadness flood out of him as he was reunited with his angel.
"Goddamnit Kev," Justin said crying on Kevin's shoulder. "Don't ever leave me again, you hear?"
Kevin gently pressed his lips against Justin's. "I love you so much Justy. I've missed everything about you," Kevin said tasting Justin again, the taste and smell he missed so much overloading his senses.
"Kevin, sorry babe, but this is public," Justin said disengaging himself from his lover."
"Damn, you're right," Kevin said giggling. "I'm always supposed to be the responsible one, and here I am almost fucking you in public.
"Hey, love does strange things to a person," Justin said grinning. "I have to talk to you about something," Justin continued, the smile falling from his face.
Kevin sensed Justin's serious tone. "Anything I should be worried about luv?"
Justin moved closer. "Kevin, I want to get married," he said taking Kevin's hand and rubbing his middle finger. "I want us to be a couple, AND I want to get our own house, have children, and everything that normal couples do."
Kevin pulled back a little, floored by Justin's proposal. "Justin, I don't want you to think that I don't love you, but it's a little early in-," Kevin started.
Justin placed a finger to his lips. "I understand," he said simply, a hint of sadness in his voice. "I was, well, just wondering how seriously you took 'us'."
"What the fuck, sure," Kevin said throwing all cautions to the wind. "I don't know Justin, I just think we should give it some more time, but yes, I will marry you."
"REALLY?" Justin said, his eyes wide at Kevin's outburst. "You mean you'd marry me tommorow?"
Kevin picked up Justin and whirled him around. "Yes, Justin Randall Timberlake, I will marry you, just name the date."
Justin looked down at Kevin. "There won't be much of me left to marry if you don't put me down," he said grinning.
Justin reached down to his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. Handing it to Kevin, he smiled shyly.
"You mean you came all this way to propose to me?" Kevin said smiling at Justin.
"Yea, it was worth a try," Justin said blushing.
Popping the top of the lid open, Kevin gasped at the two plain bands of gold. Taking Justin's hand, Kevin slid one of the rings on, while Justin took the other and put it on Kevin's hand.
"Alright, we're officially engaged to be married," Kevin said smiling warmly. "I'll have to admit, this is the best I've felt in my whole life."
"Kevin, come with me," Justin said seriously. "Come stay with my parents this summer when you have break, that way we can arrange the wedding and everything."
"Sure, I'd love to," Kevin said simply. "I hope your parents approve."
"I'm sure they will. As long as you act like a gentleman. Mummy Lynn likes that sort of thing."
"Alright, I'll do my best," Kevin said fingering the ring.
"Thanks babe, you're the most wonderful lover anyone in the world could have," Justin said shining with happiness.
"Same right back to you, too," Kevin said grinning.
LATER THAT SUMMER
"MOM!" Justin yelled dropping the bags on Kevin's toes and rushing to greet his mother. Pulling her into a hug, he cried. "It seems like I haven't seen you in years!"
"Justy, my little Justin is back home!" she said crying a little. Catching a glance of Kevin massaging his goot, she straightened herself up a little. "And your friend might be?" she asked.
"Kevin Richardson, meet my mother Lynn Harliss," Justin said introducing them.
"Anyone my little boy has approved is good enough for me," she said ignoring Kevin's hand and pulling him into a hug. "I'm glad you'll be staying with us." She grabbed some of their bags for them.
Lugging their stuff to the car, Lynn offered Kevin the front seat while Justin pouted in the back. "Justin has NEVER brought ANYONE home for the summer," she said grinning at Kevin. "You should know that you must be really special to Justin." She winked at Kevin.
Kevin sat still a little, not knowing if he should read into what she said.
"Mom, I've got to talk to you when we get home," Justin said a little more quietly.
"What have you done now?" she asked in a motherly tone as she pulled the car into their driveway.
"Nothing, I, um, we just have to talk," Justin said.
"Whatever honey," Lynn said smiling. "Kevin, you're in the bedroom at the end of the hall and Justin, I put the sheets back on the bed in your old room."
"Thanks mom," Justin said and picked up his bags. "We'd better get this under control before we end up in separate bedrooms," he whispered, grinning at Kevin.
Kevin smiled back, and carried his bags upstairs. Dumping his stuff in the bedroom, he wandered into Justin's. Finding him unpacking, Kevin stood outside the door as Justin sang along with the radio and Blaque.
There's not a single question That we can't make this right 'Cause it's you I need Every day and night
Oh baby bring it all to me But I don't need no Fancy cars or diamond rings Oh baby bring it all to me
Kevin placed his hands on Justin's shoulder, listening to him sing along with the rest of the song. Flipping the radio off, he turned around and melted into Kevin's gaze.
"I'm sorry Kevin, but we have to do this now," Justin said sadly.
"Alright baby, I'm behind you," Kevin said following Justin down the stairs.
"Mom?" Justin called.
"Yes honey, I'm here. I just started to bake some bread," Lynn called from the kitchen. "Do you need anything?" Here it comes, she thought to herself.
"No, I just want to talk," Justin yelled back as he descended the rest of the stairs and walked into the kitchen followed closely by Kevin.
"Sure sweety, what do you want?" Lynn asked in her trademark maternal tone.
"Mom, I, um, we have something to tell you," Justin said taking Kevin's hand.
Lynn looked from Kevin to Justin and then broke out laughing. "You guys are the funniest."
"Mom, I'm serious here," Justin said angrily. "Kevin and I are a couple, I'm GAY," he almost screamed.
"COME ON Justin," Lynn said laughing. "You never bring guys home, and the way you shot each other looks the whole way home, I KNEW it."
"Y-you, you know, I mean knew, I mean um," Justin stuttered.
"When I gave you sepereate bedrooms, I carefully monitered your reaction. NO straight guy would get upset over having his friend in another room," she said smiling broadly. "And Justin, I knew since you were 16 that you were gay. How can I NOT notice these things?"
"THANKS MOM!" Justin yelled,(BIG SMILE) pulling her into a hug. "Kevin, you too," she said grinning as she pulled Kevin into the hug also.
"So, when's the wedding?" she asked innocently.
Kevin would have normally had to dislodge his jaw to get it to drop as low as it did. "H-how?" was all that managed to get out of his mouth.
"Well, I got a call from two concerned bandmates last night, they said they didn't want 'coming out' to be a complete shock to me, or hard on you. They accidentally let slip that you were engaged," she said laughing. "And come on you two, the rings?"
Justin looked down at the ring on his finger and the identical one on Kevin's hand.
"Um, I uh, guess it is sorta obvious," he said lapsing into his baby voice.
"Now, I've already got a minister who'll do your marriage, get the papers signed, and I just have to ask you where you want it to be. Hmm. . . I think you'd look good in a black tux Justin, and you in a white one Kevin. I'll call the relatives tommorow, and then. . . . ," Lynn walked over to her plan book and laptop muttering about wedding plans to herself.
Justin looked at Kevin, and just smiled, their lips meeting in a kiss, one with no passion or lust, just love. Love that they both shared and would never break.
AT A HOTEL IN CHICAGO. . . .
"Hey guys, it's nice for all of us to get back together," AJ said. "Well, except for Justin and Kevin, who, by the way, are busy making wedding plans."
All the guys clapped and there were a chorus of 'aws'.
"Alright, anyone have any good ideas about what we should do?" Howie asked them.
"I'm stayin here at the hotel," Brian said. "I've been pretty wasted these last few days."
"I'm going to sleep," JC mumbled and opened the door to leave. "See ya'll tommorow."
"That just leaves us again," AJ said winking at Chris, Joey and Howie. "Let's go CLUBBIN'!"
They quickly filed out of the room leaving Brian to himself.
Brian shed his clothes and stood by the window in his boxers. Opening it, he let the cool air whip by him. Looking down on the city, he sighed, running his hands through his blond hair. Brian sat down next to the bed and opened his journal.
June 20, 2001
Dear Diary,
I haven't had a chance to write you since around six months ago. I've had so much going on. Josh, my ex-boyfriend and I broke up awhile ago. I miss him something awful, but he's hardly responsive at all when I try to talk to him. Maybe I didn't see the love I had for him at first, but now I am positive I love him. Sometimes at night, I wake up thinking about him in a sweat. No matter how hard I try, I can never get the image of him with someone else out of my head. Now tell me, if you don't love someone, why can you care about them so much? I should talk to Josh, but I don't have the nerve to. I ruined his life, and it seems that I can never put our relationship, even as friends, back on the right track.
Brian Thomas Littrell
Brian stood up and stretched, walking over to the mirror. Opening his suitcase, Brian moved his clothes to the side, and brought up a tattered magazine clipping from Teen Beat he had cut out some months ago. JC's smiling face radiated warmth into Brian's soul. Lying down on the bed, he clutched the wrinkled paper to his heart, gradually falling to sleep crying, as he had for many days before.
JC paced his room, wondering if he should attempt to talk to Brian. I can't go on pretending he's not there forever, he thought to himself. Making up his mind, Brian unlocked the door adjoining his and Brian's room, and quietly pushed the second door open. Blasted with cold air, he saw the window wide open, the curtains fluttering into the room, rain spattering against the sill. Closing the window shut, he pulled the curtains back in place and wiped some of the water off the floor with a towel. Walking over to the bed, JC saw Brian asleep, clutching on to a piece of paper. Sitting down on the bed next to him, JC attempted to wrench the paper out of his hands. Finally getting him to release it, JC stared down, shocked, at a picture of himself, topless, at a photo shoot. JC pulled back the covers and slid Brian back under them, he himself then getting into bed. Brian instinctively latched on to JC, pulling himself close so they were spooned together.
"I love you Brian," JC whispered.
"Mhph, hmm mmuhm," Brian moaned in his sleep and buried his head in JC's neck. JC fell asleep, feeling Brian's chest rise and fall with every breath.
Brian woke up in the darkened hotel room. Sitting up suddenly, he sensed something in bed beside him. Looking down at JC's still form sleeping next to him, questions clouded his mind. Looking over at the bedstand, he saw the picture of JC propped against the lamp.
Brian shook JC. "Josh, wake up," he said softly.
"Yes mom, just a few more minutes," JC moaned in his sleep.
"I AIN'T YO MOMMY," Brian yelled. JC's eyes flew open and he rolled off the bed.
THUD
"FUCK!"
JC picked himself back up, tenderly rubbing the back of his head. "Goddamnit Bri," he said smiling slightly as Brian gave him puppydog eyes.
"READ," Brian commanded, handing JC his diary. JC read the entry Brian had written the night before.
"Why?" JC asked simply as Brian took it back and closed it.
"I don't know, I was scared Josh. Have I ever told you about Christopher?" Brian asked.
"Chris? Chris who?" JC asked confused.
"Obviously not," Brian said pointedly. "Well, Chris and I met approximately 5 years ago, and, well, to make a long story short. . . . . . .
FLASHBACK
"Where the fuck were you Brian?" Chris questioned angrily as Brian walked through the door.
"Why are you mad sweety, I was just eating dinner. You were gone so I thought I'd just-," Brian started to explain.
SMACK, Chris slapped Brian across the cheek, shoving him roughly against the wall. "You're my fucking whore Brian, you're here to give me pleasure, and you're here to do what I say."
Chris started pressing into Brian, parting his lips with his tounge, he roughly invaded Brian. Pushing his shirt up, Chris rubbed Brian's smooth hairless skin with his hands. "Goddamn you're a hot motherfucker," Chris said abruptly turning Brian to the wall.
END FLASHBACK
"And then he raped me," Brian said, tears streaming down his cheeks by not. "I didn't ever want to get hurt by anyone again. JC, it's a wonder I even went as far with you as I did."
JC hugged Brian close to him. "It's okay Bri, pour it all out sweety," JC said letting Brian sob on his shoulder.
"I was just worried about my own heart, I didn't even have any regard for yours," Brian said. "JC, forgive me, please."
JC hugged Brian again, ruffling his already-mussed blond hair. "I forgive you baby, I'll always forgive you."
"DAMN-IT KEVIN, SPEAR ME," Justin yelled. "I'M NOT A GODDAMNED FUCKING PIECE OF FINE CHINA"
Kevin grabbed Justin's shoulders roughly and started riding him in earnest, varying the speed of his strokes and the depth. Feeling Justin shake in the throes of orgasm, Kevin pulled Justin to him, coming hard into his ass. Collapsing down on his lover, Kevin ran his fingers up Justin's back. Justin freed himself from Kevin and turned around to face him, his blond hair plastered to his head with sweat, breathing heavily. Licking Kevin's neck, Justin sighed contentedly.
"Kevin, stop being so concerned about me. I'm here to give you pleasure, not to give you a hassle," Justin joked. "You're so concerned, that makes you so fucking sweet."
Kevin looked down at Justin. "I just don't want to hurt you baby," he said smiling.
"Let's just say that sex for me feels just as good as sex for you," Justin said running his hands through Kevin's sweat drenched hair. "I love the way you look after sex," he said.
"And why is that?" Kevin asked amusedly.
"I dunno, just so content, and you have that, well, um, look," Justin said laughing at how stupid it sounded.
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"HEY, I'M NOT BUYING ANOTHER BED FOR YOU GUYS EVEN IF YOU DO BREAK THIS ONE," Lynn yelled through the door.
Justin giggled a little. "Come on Mom, we weren't that loud," he said laughing.
"Oh weren't you?" Lynn asked laughing. "I was talking to my friend on the phone and she asked what all the commotion was about. I told her it was just my son yelling for his boyfriend to 'SPEAR HIM' harder."
Kevin smiled widely. "Justin, next time, I'll try to 'SPEAR YOU' a little more quietly.
Justin blushed, fingering his engagement ring as he did when feeling uncomfortable. "You're sure you want to go through with this, Kevin?" Justin asked for the fifteenth time that day.
"How many times do I have to tell you Just, I love you, more than anyone or anything else in my life. We're going to get married, have kids, and live in our own home."
Justin hugged Kevin close. "You know I wouldn't have it any other way."
"OW, fucking shit," Brian yelled as JC swabbed his arm with alcohol. Rubbing it tenderly, JC placed the bandage on the cut, and pulled the bloodied piece of glass out. "You really need to start learning how to handle glasses," he said pointedly. Brian grimaced and clutched JC's hand.
"What would I do if I didn't have you here to take care of me?" Brian asked kissing JC softly.
"I dunno, but you'd have an armful of glass," he said laughing. "Brian, how serious are you about, well, us?"
"I don't know JC, I do know I love you," he said. "Whatever happens, I know we'll be together, and I promise when the time comes, the whole world will know."
"Thanks Brian, you mean the world to me," JC said sincerely. "I'm going to get a bite to eat, wanna come?"
"Nope, I think I'll just chill here in the room," Brian said. "I need some time alone."
"Okay sweetypie," JC said kissing him on the cheek. "I'll only be about an hour."
"An HOUR?" Brian asked incredulously. "You need an hour to get a snack?"
"Yup," JC said smiling sheepishly. "I guess I'm really hungry."
"Bye," Brian called as JC closed the door.
Walking to the bathroom, Brian turned on the shower, hot all the way. He relaxed as the hot water massaged his body, relieving the tension he had been keeping in. Shampooing his hair and rinsing, Brian shut off the water and stepped out of the shower. Grabbing the towel, he wrapped it around his waist and was about to start drying off when there was a knock at the door. That's not JC, he thought to himself as he walked out of the bathroom, shivering as the cold air hit him. He's got a key to the room.
Brian opened the door a crack and peered out. "Chris?"
SOME HOURS LATER. . . .
JC placed his card in the door and slid it, patiently waiting for the light to turn green. Opening the door, he was surprised to see the room in complete darkness, the drapes shut tight over the window. Pulling them back, he gasped at the scene before him. Clothes were strewn across the room, with blood staining the carpet. Looking at the door to the bedroom, JC put his hand on the knob. God, I hope he's alright. Opening the door, he flicked on the light in the room.
"BRIAN," JC yelled rushing over to his lover's still form beside the bed. Seeing the gashes on his chest and legs, JC quickly took the alcohol and cotton swab he had used before and cleaned them. Pulling Brian's boxers up, he lifted him onto the bed. Moistening a washcloth, he pushed back Brian's hair and wiped him clean of the blood, sweat, and tears that had stained his face.
"Brian, come on baby, wake up, don't die on me," JC said urgently shaking Brian.
"H-he came, just like he promised" Brian said weakly, smiling up at JC. "He finished what he started to do."
JC hugged Brian tightly. "But you're OK, and I'm back here with you," he said, while Brian wept on his shoulder.
"It hurts," Brian said, his usually beautiful complexion scrunched in pain.
"I'll bandage it up for you sweetheart," JC said. "We just need to get to a hospital."
"Things are that serious?" Brian asked as he gazed up into JC's sapphire eyes.
"Yes Brian, I'm afraid they are," JC said tenderly touching the deep cuts on Brian's abdomen.
"Don't let them separate us," Brian said weakly as his head rolled to the side and JC picked up the phone to dial the hospital.
"One more time, PLEASE Lance?" Nick asked cheerfully bouncing on his naked lover.
"Nick, you know I like to just lie still after 'fucking' as you put it."
"I know, but I'm still HORNY," he said speeding up the pace of his bouncing.
"Come on Nicky, please just let me go to sleep," Lance said, his voice already growing lower and shaking with the stimulation Nick was providing.
Sensing Lance was close to giving in, he pushed his tounge roughly into Lance's mouth. "Giddy up and get going horsy," he said laughing.
Lance rolled his eyes and placed his hands behind Nick's head. "Nick, why am I always on the bottom?" Lance asked curiously.
"Cuz I WANT you to be," he said grinning. "That way I get to see your face when you cum."
Lance bit Nick's tounge softly, eleciting a moan from the blond. Nick let his matted hair fall onto Lance's face as he ground into him. Lance entwined his legs with Nick's, pushing up to meet Nick's advances. Lance increased the passion of the liplock, forcing his saliva into Nick's mouth, then taking it back.
Lance felt himself start to cum, grabbing Nick's back and raking his nails down it. Nick looked down into Lance's wide green eyes and kissed him as he came. "This," he said feeling himself start to come to orgasm, "is why I like to be on top."
Nick and Lance felt the warm cum flood between them, but were locked together by their legs. Lance pushed his tounge back up into Nick's mouth as his pleasure subsided.
Nick rolled off the bed and lay next to Lance, running his fingers through the mix of cum on his chest and sucking it clean. Lance rolled Nick over on his back and inspected the give red marks he had given.
"Sex hurts babe," Lance said as Nick rolled back over.
"I know, but with you, it's worth it," Nick said absently tracing Lance's semi-defined pecs.
Nick fell asleep, his sweat-soaked golden locks in disarray, while Lance felt himself drifting off. Looking down at Nick's closed eyes, he almost felt the radiance and beauty eminating from his gorgeous lover. Absently rubbing the skin on the back of Nick's neck between his index and thumb, Lance sighed deeply, thinking of the song "Drive myself crazy". "You drive me crazy, Nicky," he said and finally fell asleep.
