OK, this is where it all ends up. I want you guys to tell me which relationship to concentrate on for the next segments.

I also want to say that Lance and Ryan was a truly wonderful story, even thought it hasn't had any segments added recently. I wish to someday write with that kind of fluency. Hope whoever wrote that continues.

Disclaimer thingy: As much as I'd like it to, this does not mean anything about the sexual orientation of the members of 'N SYNC or Backstreet Boys. This is a work of fiction, K? Oh, and if you're under 18, don't read it. (Or don't get caught)

The Day Before Tommorow (3)

THE SPLIT

Aaron woke up, sitting up suddenly in the bed. Looking down to see Justin asleep beside him, he grinned. Reaching over, Aaron smoothed Justin's curly mop of blond locks. Rolling back over, he got out of bed. Feeling his feet touch the cold floor made Aaron shiver as he walked to the bathroom and turned on the light. Spying the note and box on the counter, he opened the envelope and read. Frowning a little Aaron folded the note and put it back in the envelope. Carrying the note and box, he set it next to Justin on his bedside table.

Aaron walked back to the bathroom and stripped, turning the shower on as hot as it would go. Feeling the hot water blasting against his back. Turning off the water and getting out, Aaron dryed off and selected some clothes out of Justin's wardrobe. Aaron gelled his hair, applied some cologne, and silently slipped out the door. Aaron walked down the hall to AJ's room and knocked on the door.

AJ poked his head out slowly. "What do you want?" he spat coldly as he eyed Aaron suspiciously.

"Hi Alex, I don't believe we've had the pleasure of meeting yet," Aaron started.

"I wouldn't exactly call it a pleasure," AJ said grimly opening the door a little more. "Come on in."

"AJ, I don't want everyone thinking I'm an asshole around here," Aaron said slowly. "And I know you're going to say I am one. Well, spare me. I just want to tell you a thing or two."

"I'm all ears," AJ said beckoning for Aaron to take a seat and he himself lying down on the bed.

"Alright, here goes. I met Justin in New York after a concert and we almost instantly fell in love. After awhile, I realized it wasn't love, just sex. It broke my heart to realize that I could never do for him what he really wanted," Aaron said choking up a little. "I didn't tell him until he almost had to leave, and I broke it off with him. Ever since that time, I've wanted to treat him the right way, hold him and tell him what I never said."

"But, you love him now?" AJ asked thoroughly confused.

"That's just it AJ," Aaron said. "I still don't love him, I never did. I just wanted to come back and try to set right what I never could."

AJ sat up and hugged Aaron. "It's alright, I understand, but you need to understand also. Being back with Justin won't help him, you, or anyone. Look how much it hurt Kevin."

"I know AJ, it was just eating at me. I had to see Justin again, even if he was involved with someone else. Alex, I'm going to trust you'll tell Justin what I told you here, and make sure Justin goes back where he belongs."

"Wh-What?" AJ asked wide-eyed.

"I read a note this morning that Kevin wrote to Justin, I came across it in the bathroom. I know for a fact Kevin will be a complete basket-case without Justin, and I can never give Justin what he wants," Aaron said. "I'm leaving AJ. I'm NOT leaving you responsible for convincing the rest of the group I'm a saint, because I'm everything but."

"Aaron, why so suddenly appear and leave?" AJ asked even more confused about Aaron.

"Listen to me carefully Alex. I have a serious medical condition. I probably won't be around for much longer. Promise me you'll get Justin and Kevin back together, and tell Justin what I told you," Aaron said urgently. "I have to leave now, before anyone else makes a scene."

"You're a strong man Aaron, I wish I had the conviction you have," AJ said. "I don't know how much to thank you."

"Don't," Aaron said smiling and left, closing the door softly.

AJ sat dazed on the bed, staring blankly at the chair Aaron had just occupied. Quickly getting up, he walked back to Justin's room and opened the door. Walking over to the bed, he drew the curtains over the window, letting the bright sunlight stream through.

"Aaron, shut those," Justin moaned rolling around a little. "Gimme a chance to get some more sleep."

"Justin, it's not Aaron, it's AJ," AJ said grimly awaiting Justin's reaction.

"Where's Aaron?" Justin asked sitting up.

"He left," AJ said simply, and motioned to the envelope and box on the nightstand.

Justin picked up the note, his eyes scanning it quickly. "K-Kevin wrote this?" Justin asked a little faintly.

"Aaron left awhile ago Justin, I guess I have a lot of explaining to do," AJ said sitting down on the corner of Justin's bed.

AJ related the events of that morning slowly to Justin, who sat wide-eyed and gasped at all the right parts.

"Is Kevin alright?" Justin asked quickly after AJ was finished.

"Well. . . I guess you could say a little shaken," AJ said trying to put it nicely.

"AJ, the truth please," Justin said.

"Alright Curly, he's shocked and in a complete depression. I haven't gotten any sleep because I've had to listen to him cry and moan all night. Now do yourself, me and Kevin a favor: go tell him you love him."

"Aje, I doubt he'll still talk to me," Justin said. "He must hate me, with all that I've put him through."

"Let me tell you a story," AJ said sighing and sitting down on the floor. "There was a time last year when Kevin was so pitifull he couldn't do anything at all. We always counted on him to arrange tours, meals, free time, recording sessions, interviews and all that other shit. He was so non-functional we didn't know what was wrong with him. Since we started touring with you guys, Kevin started to act like his old self; telling jokes, messing around, and acting less like a father and more like our friend. I DON'T want Kevin to go back to being mopey, and I have a good feeling he will untill he has you back." AJ finished and sat back against the bed.

"Are you sure he won't, like, hate me or anything?" Justin asked slowly.

"You mean the world to Kevin, Just. He couldn't live without you. If you'd like, I'll go in and talk to him," AJ volunteered.

"No Aje, I better do it myself," Justin said standing up and opening the door. "Thanks a bunch."

"No problem pal," AJ replied as Justin left.

Justin opened the door to AJ's room slowly and peeked inside. Seeing Kevin lying on the bed, his head buried in a pillow, he walked over to the window, pulling the curtains open and letting the sunlight stream through the window. Sitting down next to Kevin, Justin tentatively brushed his wrist against Kevin's face. Kevin opened his eyes and looked up at Justin.

"Kevin, we need to talk," Justin said, getting down on his knees so his head was level with Kevin's.

"If it's about Aaron, I don't want to hear it," Kevin said pulling the pillow further down over his ears.

"Aaron left, Kevin," Justin said sadly. "He loved me, but not anymore."

"He left?" Kevin asked a little surprised. "So, you sad?"

"Actually, no," Justin said definitively. "I love you Kevin, I came here to ask you to take me back."

Kevin rolled over and patted the bed. "Come sleep with me," he mumbled and promptly fell asleep.

Justin pulled back the covers and slipped into bed with Kevin, slipping his arms around Kevin. Feeling Kevin's rhythymic breathing, Justin knew he was back again.

"Lance, how can you sit there eating breakfast when Justin and Kevin are broken up and suffering?" Nick asked impatiently pacing the room.

"You know getting up late leaves you out of a lot of real good information," Lance said smirking.

"JAMES LANSTEN BASS, you know something I don't, don't you," Nick said pouncing on Lance, knocking the piece of toast he was eating out of his hand.

"Nothing Nickolas," Lance said giggling as Nick landed hard on top of him.

"Tell me bad boy, or I'll torture you," Nick said smiling sadistically and started to grind down on Lance.

"(Grunt) N-Nick, th-that's not (groan) fair," Lance said, his deep voice giving away his sexual desires.

"Now now James, be a good boy," Nick said pushing down a little further.

"They're back together, Aaron left," Lance managed to spit out. "Now Nick, could we please not do this now?"

"Sure Lance," Nick said getting up. "So, whaddya want to do today?"

"Nick, I really hate to bring his up, but we've only got two more days together," Lance started a little calmly, but got more and more shaken up. "We probably won't tour together until next summer, and I don't know about the Backstreet Boys, but we've got a full schedule.

Nick looked at the ground, thinking carefully about what Lance was saying. "I know sweety," Nick said sitting on the bed, motioning for Lance to follow. "I didn't want to bring this up, I guess I thought if I ignored it now, it would just go away."

Lance sat down beside his lover, warpping his arm around Nick. Feeling Nick's body heat, Lance placed his hand on Nick's heart. "I know you can't feel this, but I can," Lance said tenderly kissing Nick's head. "I love you James, I'll never leave you, or be untrue. As long as I can get the same from you, I won't ever question your motives or actions again."

Nick looked over, deep into Lance's eyes. "I wanted to continue this so much, I just thought you'd say no, or tell me we couldn't do it," Nick said taking Lance's hand and entwining their fingers. "I promise this to you, there will never be another in my life."

"This I promise you," Lance said smiling.

Kevin woke up suddenly, feeling Justin pressed into his eyes. Kevin craned his neck and tried to look over at Justin, but couldn't quite see him. Slowly turning over, he moved Justin's arms from around his waist. Looking into Justin's eyes as he slept, Kevin kissed the top of Jusitn's forhead. Moving closer, Kevin kissed Justin on the lips, parting them slowly. Justin woke up, looking straight into Kevin's eyes. Returning the kiss, he tried to sit up a little.

Breaking the liplock, Kevin helped Justin sit up. "I leave in two days," Justin said, staring blankly at the wall.

"I knew sweety, I do too," Kevin said sadly looking at the pained expression on Justin's face.

"Just promise me this, call me every day," Justin said resting his head on Kevin's chest.

"I'll do that Justy, don't worry," Kevin said watching Justin's head rise and fall with every breath he took in.

"I want you to know one thing Kevin. I won't hold you accountable for anyone you have sex with while we're apart," Justin said. "I know how lonely it gets, and I won't get mad. . . even if you fall in love with someone."

"Don't say that Just," Kevin said running his hand through Justin's curls. "I love you, I really do. I would never think of touching anyone else but you."

"Kevin, I'm afraid," Justin said as he tried to bury his head in Kevin's chest. "I don't know if I'll be able to return that favor."

Kevin sighed and touched Justin's forhead softly with his index finger. "I know, I know how you'll feel. I'm scared too."

"But I'm so much younger than you are, I don't have as much experience or self control," Justin said sadly. "I just don't want you to hate me if something happens while we're apart."

"I won't blame you Justin, I never have. When Aaron came back, you knew I was never mad at you. Sad, maybe, but never angry," Kevin said. "Whatever happens, I'll understand."

"Bri, mind if I come in?" JC asked knocking on Brian's door.

"Not at all Josh, you're welcome, don't bother knocking," Brian said getting up off his bed and opening the door. "I've just been thinking a little."

"What have I told you about thinking Brian," JC joked kissing Brian softly on the lips. "I guess I've done my share of thinking too."

"I'm not going to play games with you JC, this is really going to be hard on us," Brian said. "I mean, I've come to the conclusion that it would be best for us to just break up until we see each other again.

"I guess you're right Brian, I don't know how we can manage to keep this up long-distance," JC said sadly. "But promise me we'll get back together some other time."

Brian looked away slightly, tears threatening to fall from his face. "I don't love you JC."

JC sat on the edge of the bed, completely stunned. Staring back at Brian, he blinked twice, trying to clear his mind. "B-Brian, I know you don't mean that. Just give it awhile sweety, don't come to any-," Josh started but was cut off.

"Josh, what I thought was love was not," Brian said shortly, still not meeting JC's gaze. "You don't have what I thought you did."

JC got off the bed and down on his knees. "I gave you everything, my complete love, my virginity, all of it. How can you just flat out tell me you don't love me?"

Brian looked down at JC's tear streaked face. "I would if I could Josh, you're a great guy, but I just can't make myself love you."

JC collapsed at Brian's feet. "Brian Littrel, tell me what you want, I'll do anything for you, you'll see I can be what you want," JC sobbed. "I love you Brian, I love you so much."

Brian bent down and lifted JC's head. "I NEVER LOVED YOU, I NEVER WILL," Brian screamed. "Get over is Josh, you can't just have everything you want dropped at your feet all the time."

Brian ran out of his room, slamming the door. JC collapsed on the floor, his tears soaking the carpet. "Dear god, what did I do to deserve this?"

TWO DAYS LATER. . . . .

"FLIGHT 146 WITH SERVICE TO DENVER WILL NOW BE BOARDING 1ST CLASS PASSENGERS AND FAMILIES.

"That's us," Kevin said sitting up and extricating himself from Justin. "Guys, its been great touring with you, I hope management decides to do it again some time." Kevin directed his comment mostly at Justin who smiled. Standing up, the Backstreet Boys left the seats and pulled down their caps. Justin hugged Kevin tightly. "Call me every day," he said.

"No doubt," Kevin said smiling.

"Love you sweety," Lance said hugging Nick tightly drawing confused glances from the rest of the group. "Love you too," Nick said, tears shining in his eyes.

Brian shook JC's hand. "See ya Josh," Brian said looking at the ground. JC said nothing and Brian picked up his carry on bag. Justin looked quizzically at JC, but JC mouthed LATER.

Bidding their final farewell, the Backstreet Boys made their way up to the boarding area. Glancing lovingly back at Justin, Kevin had his ticket torn and entered the jetwalk, followed by the rest of the group.

Justin watched as Kevin walked out of sight and sighed to himself, brushing away a tear that trickled down his cheek. Of all the days in our relationship, this is the one I dreaded the most, Justin thought to himself. Every day is a tommorow, a yesterday, and a today, but this is the day before hell, a life without Kevin by my side. This is truly the day before tommorow.

Hey peoples, how was it? Now really, you have 3 choices.

  1. Add an "I" to this story, adding a first person narration to it. 2) Focus on a certain relationship 3) Have the story end here

Tell me what ya'll think!!
