Chapter 1.
"You know its been almost a year and you're still not over him?" Lana waved her hand infront of David's face who was staring across the room into the crowd.
"Dont you think he's getting better though?" Jason waved his finger at Lana.
To music was blaring and the club was even more packed than usual. The three friends were regulars to the club, although David never knew why. He always thought it was too loud and full up. But they were all creatures of habit and on a friday night, they;d be doing nothing else anyway apart from sitting at home. David and his friends were not old by any means, with Lana and David being the same age at 28, and Jason being 27.
"Maybe, but I think he still gets hung up on him now and then". David couldn't ignore the painfully true comment put foward by Lana.
"You know its not my fault I havn't moved on!" David yelled at Lana, although not meaning to.
"Then whos fault is it?" Lana looked over to where David was looking, and saw a group of people about the same age as them. "Are you looking at those people over there?"
"What? No...I mean not all of them" David reached behind the bar to grab another tonic water, which Lana never appreciated. Lana worked behind the bar and always got annoyed when David took drinks without paying.
"You know he's probably not gonna pay for that" Jason interjected. "You know, I think hes staring at brown haired boy over there". Jason pointed towards the group, and more specifically a young man wearing a shirt and jeans, with neat brown hair.
"Wow he's handsome!" Lana leaned over the bar to get a better look. "Wait...Ah! I've them before!"
"What you've seen them here?" David said, still looking over at the group.
"Yeah yeah I've seen them come here often, You should go talk to them!".
"What I can't just go over there."
"And why not? You need to get back out there David, and that handsome young man is the perfect way to do it!".
"Look I just...I need a an opening, a window of oppurtunity..." David said into his tonic water. "And what if he's not even gay?"
"What are you on about David? We're in a gay club so the odds of him being gay are pretty high" Lana swatted Davids shoulder and took his bottle of tonic back.
"Ok, I'll just give you the window of oppurtunity." Jason said, as he reached behind the bar and pulled out a bottle of Vodka, much to Lana's chagrin. "This'll loosen you up a little." Jason said as he poured some vodka into Davids drink.
"Ok, phew, I can do this..." David walked over to the group.
"Remember David!" Lana shouted. "The trick is to act confident!".
"Why don't you just say something to him Dan, i'm sure he won't bite." Ross chuckled to Daniel."You've been pining over him for too long now...".
Daniel leaned against the back wall of the club while looking over at a trio of people, one of whom was one of the bartenders at the club. Daniel was especially attracted to a Tall black haired guy wearing a blue hooding and jeans, with slightly spikey but neat, black hair. Daniel thought he looked slightly older than him.
"What are you talking about? I only saw him here, what...two weeks ago.". Daniel retorted.
"Yes thats too long Dan." Ethan said, leaning over his shoulder to get a look at the group Daniel and Ross were talking about. "And if you don't go over there, I will!".
"Hmph, I know you're straight Ethan, you get uncomfortable even when a guy just hugs you..." Daniel smiled to Ethan causing him to blush
"Well he doesn't know that so I could just walk over there and hit on him anyway!". Ethan swatted Daniel on the back of the head.
"Agh, you bastard don't hit me like that! Anyway you wouldn't go over there anyway..."
"Oh yeah...Try me." Ethan leaned down face to face with Daniel and smirked wickedly.
"God damn...Fine i'll go over there...". Daniel turned around to look back at the group and then back at his own pair of friends, who were both smiling at him, and making vague sexual jestures, which they often did, and which often got on his nerves.
"God I really need to find some new friends..." Daniel muttered under his breath as he nervously walked towards the handsome man he longed to speak with.
"Ooooh shit he's coming over here!" Daniel spun round on his heel and casually turned back to his own group.
"Real smooth jackass". Ross laughed at David, along with Ethan.
"D'you think he saw me walk back here?" David held his head down and tried to hide the fact he was blushing.
"No I think you nailed it, but he's still coming over." Ethan looked over to see the dark haired man walking towards them. "Look just take a few sips of my drinks and it'll loosen you up a little!"
"What?" You know I can't hold my drink!. Last time I drank a martini I was sick!".
"Well he's almost here so it your loss. Oh wow hes pretty tall, about the same size as you Dan...".
"And he's hot ooh wow!" Ross stood up striaght, forgetting it was Daniel he was trying to help. "Get up Dan he's coming!.
"Hi, i'm sorry if im interupting something here, but my friend over at the bar said she's seen you here before" The tall man held out his hand to Daniel.
"Uh...I uh..I'm kind of a regular here." Daniel shook the tall mans hand and realised his own palm was sweating and he quickly withdrew and rubbed the back of his head.
The tall man smalled. "I'm David, its nice to meet you!"
"I'm uhh..I uh..Oh, shit! Fuck!...I'm Daniel!" Daniel could feel the heat rushing to his head, and knew he was blushing.
David smiled "Are you ok, Daniel?"
"Yeah I'm fine" Daniel said, taking a big gulp and swallowing his nerves. "Oh and these are my friends, Uh Ethan and Ross".
"Hey nice to meet you". David shook hands with Ross. David had a firm grip and Ross could feel the power in his hands. Ethan just gave him a polite Nod. Ross and Ethan both smiled to David and left them both in peace.
"So uh, Daniel, I uh, I've not seen you here before but my friend tells me you come here often."
"Yeah well I've actually seen you here before, I mean not that I remember everyone I see its just that, I remember people with unique features, and well, I uhh, I..Uh..shit, I mean not that theres anything bad its just, I..." Daniel kept mumbling as he looked over Davids toned body and handsome face, which was the unique feature he was refering too.
David just looked at Daniel and smiled has he turned into a bumbling mess. David stared into Daniels cool blue eyes which darted around the room. David knew that he was making Daniel slightly nervous and he tried to calm him down. David thought Daniel was exactly his type and he seemed to have a great personality, not to mention a great body!
"So Daniel, what do you do for a living?" David thought small talk would calm him, and allow him to get to know him better.
"Oh well I actually work as a computer technician, I do small free lance jobs around offices and all that but its uh...its pretty boring, Well not for me I enjoy it...it's just uhh, for other people it sounds...boring I know..."
David chuckled and smiled again. "Oh god that smile.." Daniel thought to himself.
"No no not at all. I think that actually sounds like quite an interesting job." David smiled again which put Daniel at ease. "I actually work in an office too, but I'm a personal assistant for the Ceo".
Daniel looked over David and pictured him wearing a neat black suit and tie, which was a massive turn on for Daniel. "Wow that uh...thats sounds interesting too!"
"Yeah it is, and you know I actually really enjoy it." David smiled at Daniel again and knew he'd made a good impression on him. "You know it's kinda crowded in here, d'you wanna get out of here?"
"Yes yes yes!!" Daniel thought to himself.
"Uh yeah sure, sounds great!". Daniel smiled and almost immediatly, Davids arm was over his shoulder and he guided him out of the club. Daniel didn't want to admit it, but he loved it, even though he barely knew this guy. He thought it was a bit strange sitting so closely and so intimiatly with someone he had just met, but...He actually liked it even though he thought it was just a casual hookup, it felt different. Daniel never really did hookups, but he had been lusting over David for so long, he wanted him right there and then...
