Dancing with the Dragon Chapter 41: Bonds by Tripp Savidge

  • Scene 1 *

"Can I get you anything?" Braden asked quietly.

Skye thought maybe he should open his eyes, but no, that would take too much energy. "Hmm, I'm good." He snuggled back into the soft cushions of the transport. I've done enough for today, right Mistral? I mean I got showered, dressed, and ate breakfast.

'I've never felt better. I want to do it again,' Mistral thought excitedly.

Skye sighed and then grimaced as he heard River laughing at him.

"Aw... is my poor big bwuther feeling the pain?" River asked in a mock- cutesy voice.

"Screw you, River."

River laughed even louder. "From what I felt and heard of last night you'd probably have tried. What's wrong, Skye? Haven't you ever had a hangover before?"

"I have, and this is nothing like it." Skye opened his eyes to properly glare at his younger brother in the seat next to him. "Other than being tired, I don't feel sick. Tired, yes. Mortally embarrassed, ashamed, and appalled at what I did, maybe."

"Ah, so it's guilt then. Well here's a conundrum for you; our guys all think it was the best night ever. Well, the guys that 'participated.' Mica and Braden are both rather grumpy, Gilian is ready to shiv someone, and my mate says it's my fault for keeping him out of it. Do you want them to think you regret it?"

"I hate you," Skye muttered, closing his eyes again. Shit, I hate it when he's right.

'It was amazing," Mistral mentally cooed.

Yeah, yeah, it kinda was. Skye admitted to his dragon as he found himself becoming more alert.

"Ha! You admit it!" River shouted gleefully.

"Get out of my head, River."

"So how's it feel big brother? Can't bullshit me anymore. Damn, I'm gonna love this."

God, brothers. Stupid me, I thought it wasn't possible for him to be more irritating.

"Aw, you know you love me," River teased.

"Don't you need to go love on Nik?" Skye retorted as the man in question walked up and sat on his lap.

"Always, but you owe me." Nik wrapped his arm around Skye's neck and blew in his ear.

"Shouldn't you be in River's lap?"

"You didn't take me to the party," Nik said in a pout.

"I left you with the love of your life, your soul-mate, the man you're bonded to. Isn't that even better than a silly old party?" Skye asked even as he picked up the thoughts from Nik and knew the answer.

"Not even close. You went to one of the hottest clubs in the Empire and didn't take me. On top of that, you had a night like every dragon dreams about. No, you owe me, Skye. You owe me big-time." Nik sat back and looked into Skye's eyes. "Wait, did Pater tell you not to take me? Did they fuckin' leave me out because they think I'm too young or something?"

Skye took a deep breath. "No. I made that call because I didn't think I could shield River's lust and you were... well, you were the most logical choice to leave behind to keep him entertained and distracted."

"Oh, so I was sacrificed to make it easier for you?" Nik accused.

"Um... kinda," Skye admitted. Becoming more and more uncomfortable by the second as his body responded to the brother-in-law seated on his lap.

"You're going to make this up to me. Understand, Skye?" Nik gripped Skye's chin and made him look him in the eye.

"Like how?" Skye was somewhat afraid of the answer and felt a woozy sickness settle in when he picked up the thoughts before Nik put them into words.

"You will definitely be going back to The Lust Factory, and next time you will make sure River and I are with you. You can even bring my brother if you must. You will make sure I won't get grief from Father and Pater - and speaking of which..." Nik paused. "You're going to help me get a little more freedom."

"And if I don't?"

"Then I will make you very, very uncomfortable." Nik leaned in and licked up the shell of Skye's ear as his hand slid between Skye's legs. "I may not be 'your' mate, but I do know how to get to you, Skye," Nik said drawing out Skye's name as he squeezed his hardening member. "Of course, I'll have to do it when I have an audience and when you least want the attention."

"Nik... that's like blackmail," Skye said as his voice cracked. He hated to admit it, but Nik was right. Both Kleitos and Nik were genetic bond matches for Skye, and his new dragon hybrid biology saw them as perfect sex partners - even if he was already mated. When added to the bond they shared, Skye knew he had no hope of resisting if Nik truly pushed. Worse was that everyone knew about his guilt issues and how hard he fought the attraction to his mate's brothers.

"No, Skye. We call that negotiation."

"No denying you're Prince Argos's son, is there?" Skye accused, thinking maybe the comparison would make him back off.

Nik laughed and gripped Skye even harder before whispering in his ear. "Just admit defeat."

"Fine." Well, so much for being upset at the dad comparison, Skye thought.

"Come on, River. Let's go in the back and fuck. Skye got me all worked up." Nik stood and then pulled River up with him.

'It goes both ways,' Mistral reminded Skye. 'Yes, Nik can easily seduce us, but he is equally affected by us.'

"May I bother you for a moment?" Braden asked sitting in the chair next to Skye that River had just vacated.

"Sure. Am I in trouble?" Skye noted that Braden had his data pad in hand.

"What makes you say that?"

"I figured I broke some law, or maybe, the parents of those chromas are suing me for corrupting their sweet innocent little boys."

Braden laughed. "You are so funny. No, you didn't break any laws, and no one is suing you. I was just hoping for a minute to go over some questions and get your signature on a few things. We're going to be stuck on this transport for several hours."

Skye realized he hadn't seen Venci up and about since they boarded. "Venci okay?"

"Yeah, he's just catching up on some sleep. You guys kept him up most of the night."

Skye felt the heat rush to his face as the memories came back. Yeah, we did. May not have all had him at the club, but we sure did at the hotel.

'And he loved every minute, especially when we put him between us and Jayce, while Gregg rode his dick... for what? The third time?' Mistral asked.

Yup. I think Gregg had a good night too. Okay, focus. Braden has questions. Wait, the blue guy. "Before we start, what happened to the blue guy?"

"Treor, the Lorikean? He's in one of the sleeping cabins."

"Okay so, what did you need to ask?"

"First, I wanted to let you know that last night was a huge public relations success. Many of the images have gone viral, and we're already working on licensing for some that would make especially good holos. Your popularity index is way up, and it's not just young dragons."

"And that's good?" Skye asked feeling awkward that his image would be the fodder for more jack-off sessions.

"Awesome. You'll also make a percentage from every sale. Of course, the 'official' images will be much higher resolution and better quality. I also have a few items for your seal. Prince Argos suggested that we do something special for those four dragons and I thought it would be more 'personal' if it had your seal."

"What are we doing?" Skye activated his comm and added his royal seal to each of the records. It wasn't as satisfying as doing a wax seal or a signature, but with all documents and records being electronic, there wasn't much call for that.

"They are each getting a notable tuition allowance and an invitation to visit the Royal Palace if they are ever in Capital City."

"I thought education was free on Draga?" Skye sat back as Braden continued processing the requests.

"It is, but there are options. You can 'upgrade' your education, either through special schools with lower student to faculty rations, or that offer premium classes. Sometimes they have higher quality experimental materials, exotic field study destinations, or better amenities."

"What are the classes I've been taking?" Skye asked wondering aloud.

"Those, you can't even buy. You're often getting one on one training with the experts in that field, the virtual reality immersion is state of the art, the vast majority of dragons haven't even seen it, and much of what you're studying is military-related and classified."

"So, you're saying I wasn't even aware of my privilege?" Skye felt a little embarrassed at how much he'd taken for granted.

"Yeah, but at least you don't act like a spoiled royal."

"Gee, thanks."

"Just a couple more things. You have a couple of meeting requests for when you return. The Emperor said he wants you to hold off on returning to training for a couple of days. The rest of the guys will go back tomorrow."

"Did he say why?"

"He's giving you time to schedule these," Braden said holding up the data pad. "And he wanted you to set aside time for your de-brief."

"Yeah, not looking forward to that one. So, who's requesting a meeting?"

"Lord Eluf would like to meet with you to discuss his new 'personal assistant.'"

Skye picked up on Braden's curiosity and confusion on what that could be and what it had to do with Skye.

"Huh... I'm guessing he's found a way to make use of a blue dragon I suggested he take into his household." Skye paused as he realized what that meant. "Shit, I'll have to bond him too."

Braden's eyebrows shot up, but he held his tongue. His mind, however, was asking lots of questions.

"You'll know soon enough anyway. My magic tagged him, and we need a dragon willing to feed Lord Eluf. While some of the other wing members might be willing, it gets awkward when we don't want everyone to know. It's easier to hide a bond to me than it is to explain why my guards keep visiting a vampire lord."

"New brother huh? And a blue? Wow..." Braden entered a couple things on the pad. "Next request is from Lady Telawynn. The request just says, 'unfinished business.'"

Pretty sure that's going to be about Queen Caladwen.

'She's no longer a queen, and maybe it's about Tally,' Mistral whispered.

"Okay, go ahead and schedule both. Any others?"

"Not yet, but Serat, the Emperor's secretary, said it would take most of a day for the debrief. He's still trying to get everyone organized. Oh, that reminds me; over the holiday, Prince Argos's assistant passed away."

"I don't think I've ever met him. A dragi, right? Was it natural causes?" Skye tried to remember but couldn't think of a time he'd even seen Prince Argos's secretary. He'd mentioned him enough times, and yet, Skye couldn't even think of a name.

"Yes, and yes. He was advanced in years. Prince Argos has always selected dragis as his assistants, but this time rumor has it that he's having Tennat do the first screening."

"Hmm. That's a good idea. I wonder who he'll end up with. Anything else?"

"No sir. That's all I had, but I'm sure we'll have more once Venci and I have time to sort through everything that's come through."

"I'm sorry you had to miss out last night."

"Aw, don't be. It was better that Jos went anyway. He's much prettier for the holos. No one wants to see me," Braden said.

"I do," Skye said reaching out a hand to run his finger under Braden's chin.

"You're just saying that." Braden turned to look at Skye.

"Hey, we've talked about this. Can't lie to a wing-mate."

"Yeah." Braden blushed, and a small smile crept onto his face.

"So when I can see straight, and my body starts functioning again, you and I have a date."

"What kind of date?"

Skye put his hand on Braden's arm and let a little bit of his magic flow. "The kind of date where we put body parts together and make friction."

"I'm looking forward to it," Braden said as he stood.

"Me too," Sky said as Dillon scooted into the seat beside him.

"I'll keep them away so you aren't bothered. Why don't you try and sleep?" Dillon suggested.

"You're too good to me." Skye turned and snuggled back into his seat. He was so tired. His eyes were drifting closed when he realized that he should check on River. Skye let out a sigh as he realized that both River and Nik were already sound asleep.

  • Scene 2 *

"Skye, Skye, it's time to wake up. We're on approach to Capital City now." Dillon's hand felt warm as he gently nudged Skye.

"Already?" Skye blinked and sat up, surprised that he'd fallen asleep so soundly.

"It's been hours. Probably the quietest trip I've ever been on. Mica, Gilian, and Braden were the only ones awake for most of it."

"Sorry," Skye murmured looking out his window at the city in the distance.

"You guys needed it. We'll be landing at the Academy, then taking the tube back to the palace." Dillon left, and Mica sat down in the seat beside him.

"Hey," Skye said.

"How are you feeling?" Mica reached out and smoothed Skye's hair.

"Not bad. Just a little groggy."

"I wanted to let you know, I'm putting Jos and Corbin on leave for two days, and then we'll cycle through the others. None of them have had any time off in a while. I already worked it out with the Academy. Everyone has been moved into secondary skills training, so that makes it a little easier."

"No more hand to hand?" Skye wasn't so sure about that since he still didn't feel prepared.

"There will be more group exercises, but no more 'training.' We've already had more training than standard troops receive."

"Huh..." Skye was surprised, but he also realized that Master Chen may have other ideas, and just because the Academy was done with them - it didn't mean Chen was.

"I'll send Jos, Gilian, Chaz, and Jayce back to the palace with you until you're settled. The others will bunk at the Academy."

"Venci and Braden?" Skye asked.

"Probably go home and get a good night's sleep. I'll send two of the guards back in the morning to stay with you for any outings," Mica said.

"I liked it better when everyone was together." Skye realized that it would be different being back at the palace, but he'd forgotten about the parts he didn't like. He'd enjoyed having all his wing together, both for meals and sleeping. Now, they'd have to keep up appearances.

Skye reached out and held Mica's hand as the shuttle landed. He wanted to take advantage of every second he had with Mica. He did a quick check on Garrett but didn't want to intrude. It was enough to tell him his mate was well and in good spirits. The chimes sounded, and the pilot announced it was safe to disembark the shuttle.

Skye pulled Mica into a hug when they stood. Don't forget you can mind- speak me whenever you need. I'm going to miss you.

"I'm sure I'll see you soon," Mica whispered squeezing Skye.

Skye was on the tube back to the palace before long. It would be a very quick ride, but in comfort since there was a royal car waiting for them at the Academy platform. The car glided into the underground station and Skye was already aware of wing-mates waiting for their arrival.

The tube car settled into place and the door warning sounded. Chaz was at the front, and Skye reached out and grabbed his arm, pulling him aside. "Let Jos go first."

"Why?" Chaz asked in confusion as the door slid open. There was a green blur and a loud screech.

"JOS!" Willow screamed. He catapulted himself into Jos's arms forcing the dragon back several steps as the nymph wrapped himself around the gold.

"That's why. You could have been injured," Skye snickered following Chaz onto the platform while Willow appeared to be mauling his guard.

"Guess he missed him..." Chaz laughed as he watched everyone exit onto the platform.

Two official-looking men escorted the Lorikean away. It wasn't quite to the point of carrying him, but he seemed to still be a little wobbly. There were also several Imperial Guards standing by, along with a very anxious young man who was waiting nervously for his turn to be greeted.

Skye walked up to Christos and pulled him into his arms, burying his nose in the crook of Chris's neck and inhaling his panther-like scent. I've missed you kitten.

Missed you more! Christos hugged Skye tighter burying his nose in Skye's hair.

Skye stepped back, holding Chris at arm's length to look at him. He pulled his magic sight as well so he could make sure Chris was as healthy as he appeared. "You're starting to fill out, Chris."

Chris blushed and averted his eyes. "Pater watches me like a hawk to make sure I eat enough."

"Good." Skye thought that while he was still thin, Chris was now more lean-thin as opposed to the skeletal-thin like he was when he first came to live with them. And his hair, while still shorter than Skye liked, was growing in thick and lustrous.

"Where's Rilien?" Skye noted as he looked around for the elf that all their bags had been unloaded and Dillon was giving instructions to the staff.

"He's sleeping. Pater told him that if he rested, he could join the family for dinner tonight. He hasn't been allowed out of his room since they released him from the pod." Christos's head turned, and Skye followed his line of sight to see Chaz coming toward them.

"We're headed back to the Academy. Jos will be staying for a bit." Chaz gestured to where Jos and Willow had somewhat moved out of the way but were still in a lip lock. "The palace guards will escort you and stay with you. I'm not sure if Mica is sending any of us back in the morning or not."

"He said that he would, but he wasn't sure who yet," Skye responded. He could feel Chaz's awkwardness; his were-dagger really wanted to hug him goodbye but knew it "wasn't royal protocol."

Skye took matters into his own hands, pulling Chaz in and kissing him soundly. "Going to miss you."

"Me, too. Give lots of love and hugs to Rilien, and make sure he knows we're all thinking about him and want to see him soon." Chaz reluctantly stepped back, before rejoining the others back on the tube car.

Christos took Skye's hand as they headed to the lift. Nik and River stepped up beside them.

"River and I are going to get cleaned up. Are you going to check in on Rilien?" Nik asked.

"Yeah, that's my plan." Skye couldn't help but grin as he knew that Nik's plan on cleaning up included much more rewarding activities with his little brother. "Hey, Dillon. Meet me in Ril's room when you're done."

Dillon gave a nod. Skye was pretty sure he wouldn't rest until he had made sure everyone's bags were back in the right rooms. The residential wing wasn't far, and Skye walked down the hall toward the green room, the same room Pater had assigned Rilien when he arrived. He was just a few doors away.

"Skye, we've been worried about Willow. He hasn't been himself since we got back from the holidays." Christos grabbed Skye's arm as he spoke, pulling him to a stop.

"Strange you should say that, everyone was saying the same thing about Jos."

"Does that mean 'something'?" Chris asked in a whisper.

"It means they missed each other, beyond that, my magic isn't telling me much. But I do find it interesting and maybe something I should investigate further."

"You don't... don't..." Chris's eyes went wide. Skye, you don't think they could be potential bond-mates... do you?

Skye wondered for a moment if Chris knew about Dillon, and realizing how close they were, decided to assume Chris and Rilien probably both knew. No idea. I was going to ask Kleitos.

Chris got a faraway look in his eyes and smiled. I hope so. 'Cause maybe that means someday, I'll find a bond-mate too.

Don't rush things, Christos. Pater would hang me out by my ears if you bonded anytime soon. Skye turned back to open the door into Rilien's room.

Maybe, but if you find a good one, I wanted you to know I'm on board.

Great. Mistral, are you even paying attention? What am I going to do if they all decide they want me to change them and then find them mates?

'Of course I'm paying attention. Quit being a wuss about it, Skye. That is what we were meant to do. I expect that eventually, we'll be attending bonding ceremonies for Willow, Chris, and Rilien, and of course Dillon,' Mistral said.

"Hello stranger," Corbin greeted when Skye stepped into Dillon's room. The guard was standing just inside keeping vigil.

"Oh, Skye! It's so good to have you home," Skye's grandmother Nancy said, standing from where she'd been sitting next to Rilien's bed.

Skye hugged his grandmother. "Good to be back. How's he doing?"

"Physically, he's fit as a fiddle. I still can't get over how amazing the medical care is here." She turned to look back at the napping Rilien with a fond smile.

"You're looking pretty good yourself, Grandma." Skye noted that she looked healthier and more vibrant than he ever remembered seeing her. Even her hair seemed to have more color. Mistral, you don't think... Skye mentally asked before taking his grandmother's hand and closely examining her wrist. Okay... nothing yet, Skye shared as he looked for the beginning signs of a bond-mark.

"I feel great. The palace and the grounds are amazing, and everyone treats us like royalty. A lady could get spoiled."

"Well, one, you are royalty. And two, be warned the food and the attention are addictive." Skye released her hand and sat on the edge of the bed looking down at Rilien. "Goodness, he is so beautiful. And when he's sleeping, he looks so innocent."

'A deception, certainly. I clearly remember that when in our bed, he was anything but innoncent," Mistral said.

"I'll give you guys some time alone. I need to go change for dinner." Skye's grandmother quietly let herself out of the room.

"He really is pretty, but he doesn't seem to accept it," Corbin said.

"Understandable." Skye brushed the blond curls from Rilien's brow. "I'm sure it's hard for him, looking in the mirror and seeing a stranger."

"Still?" Corbin asked.

"His entire life, until we took him in, he wore the aversion and illusion medallions. It didn't just hide his appearance from his father, King Meadowdove, it hid it from everyone, including Rilien. Imagine what he felt when he looked at his reflection after waking up, seeing a total stranger in the mirror looking back. He'd always thought he was plain and unattractive and lived in the shadow of his more attractive brother. In truth, he was the pretty one. I'm not sure he's accepted that it's him. And don't forget, he'd also just learned that Tiberius Meadowdove wasn't his biological father."

"He's been through a lot," Corbin said.

"Too much." Skye turned when he heard a gentle knock at the door. "Come."

"Just me," Dillon said quietly as he entered. He saw Corbin and let the guard pull him into a hug before coming to stand by the bed. "I went ahead and set your clothes out for dinner. Chris is on his way to help me get Ril ready."

"Thanks." Skye leaned down and kissed Rilien's brow. "Time to wake up."

Rilien's eyes fluttered and opened. "Skye?" Rilien reached out and pulled Skye into his arms. "You're here."

"I told you that you'd be my very first stop."

"I've missed you," Rilien whispered through tears.

"Well, you've got me now." Skye gently wiped away Rilien's tears and gave him a light kiss. "I hear you're joining us for dinner. Dillon's already over there picking out clothes for you."

"Dillon?"

"Hey. You're looking pretty good." Dillon laid out some clothes on the bed and climbed up to give Rilien a hug.

"I'm going to step into the hall to give you guys some privacy," Corbin said.

Rilien started crying again, and without even pausing, Skye opened his shields and pulled his magic sight to determine what was wrong. "Hey, hey. What's this?"

"He can't even stand to be in the same room with me," Rilien got out between sobs.

"What? That's not true. Why would you even think that?" Skye quickly determined there was nothing physically wrong with Rilien. Emotionally, that was another story.

"Everyone looks at me like I'm dirty," Rilien sobbed.

"That is not true!" Dillon said.

"Dillon, give me a moment. Here, take my hand." Skye reached out and took Dillon's hand as they sat on either side of Rilien. Skye mentally pulled Dillon in with him as he opened up to Rilien.

Rilien, Dillon is right. Corbin wasn't and isn't thinking anything like that. Why did you think he was?

I can see it in their eyes. They think I'm tainted now. Broken.

Oh, Mistral. Where do I even begin to unravel this?

'Start by showing him how you and the other wing-mates feel,' Mistral responded.

Rilien, I need you to concentrate on our bond. Can you feel it?

Yeah.

You know we can't lie to each other. We feel it through the bond. So you know I'm being honest when I say you aren't broken or soiled. I don't think you're dirty or tainted. I love you even more now than I did before all this mess. You 'know' this is true.

Rilien nodded.

Now, focus on Dillon's connection. Can you find it?

Yes, but it's not nearly as strong, Rilien said. That's because he's a wing-mate, not a direct bond. Now, listen.

I love you, Rilien, Dillon mind-spoke. I don't think you're dirty or tainted either. I'm just worried about you. I can feel your pain and your anxiety.

There. See, Rilien? You know I'm connected to Corbin and that I can read his thoughts and emotions, right? So focus on my bond and your connection to Corbin and know I'm telling you the truth. Corbin does not think any less of you. Like Dillon, he's concerned. He can also feel your pain, and it hurts him. That look he gave is not distaste, it's worry.

They used me, Skye. They may not have hurt me, but they treated me like I was... Rilien began sobbing again, unable to even finish his thoughts.

Skye leaned down and pulled Rilien into his arms, hugging him tight. "I know, baby. I've been there. I know how it feels and how it makes you question everything. But please trust me, you will heal, and your wing loves you.** Skye used his magic to soothe Rilien and numb the pain while softening the memories. He knew Kwill would do a much better job, like he had with River, but until he returned, Skye's rudimentary skills would have to suffice.

The effects were almost immediate. Rilien stopped crying and wiped his face.

"How about I help you get cleaned up and dressed for dinner?" Dillon suggested.

"Yeah." Rilien took a deep breath. "I'd like that."

"I'm going to go get cleaned up myself, and I'll come back to walk down with you, okay?" Skye asked. "Maybe tonight, you want to stay in my room?"

"Could I?" Rilien asked as a bit of sparkle came back into his eyes.

"Of course you can. I'm sorry I couldn't be here for you sooner."

  • Scene 3 *

Skye was feeling apprehensive as he stepped up to Rilien's door and knocked. After River's and his own experiences, he understood what Rilien was feeling. He also knew that it was different for each person, and he still didn't know the details of what had happened while Rilien was held captive.

"Come in," Dillon's voice called.

"Ready?" Skye asked stepping in. Dillon was just finishing with a last minute check on Rilien.

"I am." Rilien turned and straightened his jacket. "Thanks, Dillon."

"I thought Chris was going to stop by," Skye said.

"He did. You just missed him, he went on ahead," Dillon said.

Skye held out a hand to escort Rilien. "Ready to rejoin the world?"

"Very."

"I'll be right behind you," Dillon said.

Skye could feel the tension in Rilien as they drew closer. "Have they been taking good care of you?"

"Very. Pater, Grandma, or Gram-gram were with me every hour since I got here. And one of our guys, Kuai, Feired, or Corbin."

Skye felt a tingle when Rilien mentioned Corbin and filed it away. "Not Leesai?"

"Um..." Rilien faltered. "She kinda scares me."

Skye laughed. "Rilien, she scares everyone. Between you and me I think she does it on purpose," he whispered.

"Ha ha, yeah, I could see that."

There was a cacophony of greetings when they entered the dining hall. Skye steered Rilien to his chair so he would be out of the melee and watched as River and Nik went to Rilien almost immediately.

"Welcome home, son. I am so proud of you," Prince Argos whispered into his ear as he pulled Skye into a hug. "You were amazing."

Skye felt the heat rush to his face. He liked pleasing Pater and couldn't deny it warmed him all the way through feeling the love and pride radiating off his mate's father. He'd no sooner stepped out of Pater's grasp when he got a bear hug from behind.

"My God, Skye. I'd have never thought you had it in you. Damn, but you made this old man jealous, and proud too," Charlie, Skye's grandfather said. He turned Skye around and looked him in the eye with a firm grip on Skye's shoulders. "You done good. Darius and Argos explained it all to your gran and me. What a world, heh?"

"Yeah, pops. It's different alright." Skye looked at his grandfather and tried to reconcile the man with his memories. He'd swear Charlie had lost more years off his age. Just like his grandmother, he seemed so much more "alive."

Charlie leaned in close. "Between you and me... I like it."

Skye wasn't trying to read his grandfather, but he wasn't shielding tightly either. He'd wanted to be able to keep tabs on Rilien's mood. His grandfather's thoughts had clearly gone to what he liked most, and that included a distinguished and very handsome dragon - Luca.

Well, Mistral. I think from what I just picked up, we can assume that Grandpa's libido has fully recovered thanks to a certain Colonel.

'He feels different. There's something else there,' Mistral noted.

Skye used his magic sight and could tell something was there. It was very faint, almost like a gossamer strand. Mistral, we need to talk to Kleitos.

"So, do I get a hug?" Emperor Darius asked.

"Of course, Father." Skye hugged the large man and couldn't help but be reminded of being in Garrett's arms. They were both large, powerful men and had a way of hugging that made him feel safe.

"You were impressive, Skye. I bet Garrett was fit to be tied that he couldn't be with you," Darius laughed.

"He might have mentioned that." Skye didn't think it appropriate to mention that Garrett had taken his frustration out on Taleel and Jerrick. Though from what he got through the bonds, they weren't complaining.

Skye stepped away and saw most of the family now taking their places. Kleitos had just walked into the room, and Skye felt a tug, both from Mistral and his magic. He was walking toward Kleitos before he consciously decided to do so.

"Brother's mate. Good to see you again." Kleitos's blue eyes sparkled with mischief.

He opened his arms for an embrace. Damn, Mistral, he is beautiful. Kleitos took more after Argos than his brothers. He was taller than Argos but likewise slender with his Pater's coloring, other than his blue eyes. Skye found his body responding to Kleitos immediately.

Kleitos gave Skye a gentle kiss. It burned through Skye making him want more. Kleitos may have been the gentlest D'Or Drakken, but there was an inferno of passion burning under his skin. "We don't need to tell my brother about this."

Skye could feel Kleitos's erection pressing against his own. Dragon biology was nothing if not predictable. "Yeah, for some reason he's become rather jealous of you."

"His issue. Not ours," Kleitos murmered.

"Time to take your seats," Argos called out.

"I need to talk to you after. Can you come to my room?" Skye asked.

"Of course." Kleitos gave Skye a small bow as he turned and took his seat. As he looked around, he realized that Willow was missing, but just as Skye was about to say something, Willow scurried into the room and took his seat. He looked absolutely disheveled.

"Sorry," Willow announced politely.

Other than a few glances, most of the family ignored Willow's late arrival. They were focused on River and Nik and catching up and so, fortunately, no one was grilling Skye on his experiences in Caris. He caught Willow's eye and smiled.

Doing better?

The grin that spread across Willow's face said it all. Much. Thank you.

Where'd you leave Jos? He's okay, right?

Of course. He's resting in my room. That's okay, isn't it? A worried frown spread across Willow's face. He had done well at adapting to wearing clothes and had even picked up on most of the required protocol. It had just taken a while.

I'll make sure it is. Just in in case, Skye reached out to check on Jos and found him sleeping. He needs to eat. I understand you can't bring him to the family table, but you can't just hide him in your room and not feed him.

I was going to take something back. Even Willow's mind-voice came across as indignant.

Skye looked behind and caught Dillon's attention. Can you make sure a tray is sent up to Willow's room for Jos. Maybe for all meals while he's here.

Dillon gave a nod. I'll take care of it. I think Jos will need his energy.

The rest of the dinner was uneventful, and Skye was relieved that no one raised any awkward questions about Rilien's rescue or Skye's trip to the nightclub. Not that he couldn't feel the curiosity, or that he didn't know what they were wondering, but no one outright asked. He took it as a win. Rilien also seemed to do well.

Skye mentally reminded Rilien a number of times to validate through his bonds when he started to doubt. Half-way through dinner, he was doing it on his own and Skye could see the tension ease in his body as he finally accepted that it would be okay.

Skye got settled back in his room and sat on the couch, watching the fire burn in the large fireplace. He snuggled in and tried to relax. He'd only been there a few minutes when he felt the mental tickle from his mate.

Skye...

Hey, Garrett. You doing okay? Skye could feel an unusual amount of tension and frustration coming through their bond.

I'd be better if you were here. Taleel and I just watched the holovid recording of you at the Lust Factory.

Okay, kinda weird, but I guess I can live with that.

Um, thought I should let you know um... Taleel and I are going to burn off some tension together and didn't want you freaked out when you picked up on what we were doing.

I'm more than a little jealous, but that's cool. Give him an extra kiss for me, will you? It's been forever since I've seen him. Where's Jerrick?

He had to work on something. I'll understand if you want to you know... shield me out for a bit.

Thanks, I'm good. Kleitos is going to stop by.

Kleitos? Why? What does he want? Is he trying to get in your pants? Garrett's tone went from slightly guilty to highly suspicious in a heartbeat.

I asked him to. Besides, you're the one who left me on my own. Kleitos is a wing-mate, and most of the other guys are at the Academy. Are you changing the rules?

No. I'm sorry, maybe I overreacted. Sometimes, I think you like him a little too much.

And aren't you the one who explained that a dragon cannot ignore a man who is a good genetic match?

Don't throw my words back at me, that's not fair, Garrett sent.

It has nothing to do with fair. You are my mate, Garrett, the man I love above all others and you have no reason to be jealous. Stop being silly and enjoy your time with Taleel.

Love you.

Love you too. Hurry home.

Skye had just gotten comfortable again when there was a knock at his door. "Prince Kleitos, to see you, sir," the guard announced.

"Send him in please," Skye answered.

Kleitos stepped in as the guard pulled the door closed behind him.

"Sorry about that. All our guys are resting up. They would have just sent you in," Skye said.

"No, they'd have still checked first," Kleitos said with a smile as he dropped onto the couch across from Skye. "Father's guards are just scared that if they screw up with you, they'll be sent off to the Rim. Even if I am a royal prince."

"All a bit much if you ask me," Skye muttered.

"I think I'm just worn down. I don't even think about it anymore. Though with some of the unrest and attacks, it's gotten a little more intrusive."

"I need your professional insight," Skye announced.

"Shit, I was hoping you wanted me for 'other' things," Kleitos joked.

"You know how much it bothers me and how I hate to admit it, but seeing as how Mistral will shred me from the inside out if I deny it, yes, that too."

"Good. So how can I help?" Kleitos's demeanor completely changed. While he was still smiling, he was all professional.

"A couple of things actually. Do you have access to the bond-mate matching system?"

"Yes and no. I can submit dragon and human samples to be matched, and I have access to the testing equipment, but I don't have the ability to manipulate the data or check on matches."

"Bummer. Okay then, let's say you did have access. Do you know your way around enough to see if a dragon and human sample were a match?"

"Skye, it might be easier to tell me what you want and let me figure out the 'how,'" Kleitos said.

"I think Grandpa and Luca Bianchi are potential bond-mates, maybe Grandma too. But my understanding was that Grandpa was too old to be put into the system."

"Correct. They have to be young enough to carry dragonlings, and while your grandfather has many years ahead of him - especially if he bonded, he's a bit past getting pregnant. But Skye, the 'system' is to track and manage compatible breeding matches and put dragons together with their humans. You don't have to use it to check on genetic compatibility."

"Cool! So you could do it?" Skye's words came out a little squeakier than intended as he felt a ghost of a touch down his back.

"Technically, yes, I have the skills and knowledge, but I'm not sure it's ethical. We're supposed to go through HealthCorps."

"And if say... The Emperor said to do it?" Skye forced out as he tried to ignore the sensations he was picking up from his mate.

Kleitos scowled. "What are you up to, Skye?"

"I told you, I think they're a match. Just because they can't have dragonlings, should they be denied years of happiness?" Skye crossed his legs to hide his stiffening member. He was sure Garret was getting a blowjob.

"Father Dragon, you've spent too much time with Pater. He's rubbed off on you."

"Oh, PLLLease. You've got his DNA in YOU too. I know this fascinates you and you're dying to see if you could do it." Skye was struggling to concentrate and tightened his shields as he could almost feel the wetness of a tongue on his hole.

"Are you okay, Skye?" Kleitos gave him a curious look.

"Yeah, just picking up some distractions from Garrett."

From the smirk on Kleitos's face, he had to have guessed correctly. "Then, yes. If Father gave the clearance, I could do the test. You get to explain to your grandfather and Colonel Bianci why I need blood and semen samples. And for your grandmother, shit... I guess blood... no idea on the other."

"Got it. Okay, next question. Do the tests work on non-humans, like say... nymphs, fairies, or elvvvveeees?" Skye clenched his fists and scooted a bit on the couch. Oh, God.

Kleitos sat back. "I have no idea. Why would it even matter, Skye? They can't bond so what would be the point? You have to have a subject who can accept the biological changes to complete the bond. Only humans."

"And if I were to tell you that's not actually true?" Skye gasped as soon as the words were out and had to readjust himself. His heart was racing, and his body didn't understand that he wasn't the one being seduced.

"Skye, you're making my head hurt. Of course it's true. Skye, do you need me to come back later? You don't look very 'comfortable.'"

"No. No, I'm fine. Just... let's finish. I know that's what you've been taught and I know it is what current science 'believes.' Okay, so you can't share this with anyone. But I have proof to the contrary, and I also know the psions have historical records of nonhumans being bond- mates." Skye gave up and pulled his shields up tighter, blocking the sensations from Garrett.

Kleitos sat forward placing his elbows on his knees as he massaged his temples. "Do I want to know?"

"Please, I know you're practically coming out of your skin waiting for the answer. Of course you want to know. Will it mess up your life? Maybe, but it's bound to happen anyway."

"That does not make me feel better. Okay, so tell me." Kleitos covered his face and stared at the floor.

"There is a nonhuman who has already gone through the change. Very few know and we can't let others find out. Also, the psion who was involved in the kidnapping of Rilien was a researcher and scientist. He was originally working on inquiries from Draga on the history of platinums. He found records documenting a cyclical occurrence of what was described as a 'Father Dragon.' A platinum with the ability to introduce non-humans into the mating pool. For a period of time there were dragons born whose alternate form was not human. Eventually, the 'non-human' features faded or were bred out. Guess I don't need to say this, but it was a really, really long time ago."

"Well, that would explain some things," Kleitos said quietly.

"Meaning?"

"DNA testing of dragons has always assumed there is a margin of error in classification. A percentage of subsets that just don't make sense. They appear to be non-human, mostly a match to elves but since that's impossible, scientists just dismiss them as errors."

"Probably not errors. Face it Kleitos, one of your ancestors may have been an elf."

"And this father dragon?"

"Um... that would be me. Or at least that's what several people smarter than me think. And the psion who discovered a lot of this kept it to himself - some of the research he shared with his colleagues, or they discovered on their own, but there was a lot that they haven't found yet. He hid it before leaving."

"And you know this, how?"

"Kwill and I stripped the psion's mind before he was executed. So I guess that means I have an extremely high confidence that this was all fact within his mind."

Kleitos grimaced. "And how can I help?"

"I need someone to test Willow. Eventually I'd like a way to test others and keep the data with me, but not share. My magic seems to be showing me matches, but I have no idea how accurate or trustworthy it is."

"I don't have that kind of clearance, Skye."

"But if I can fix that and get your parent's approval?"

"You couldn't keep me away," Kleitos said with a grin. "This is huge, Skye. There are more male elves than female. If you could make them potential bond-mates... wow."

"Hold on. Doesn't work like that. Or rather I'm not about to take on converting the non-human male population." Skye shuddered and took a deep breath. "I'm thinking evolutionary, not revolutionary."

Kleitos looked at Skye intently for a moment. "But... oh. OH! You mean to make the change you have to... And you'd have to with every individual?" Kleitos's eyes went wide, and he covered his mouth with his hands to stifle the outburst of laughter.

"Yeah, so that is not an option."

"I understand. Too bad Garrett didn't get this ability. He'd take it as a personal challenge," Kleitos teased.

Skye rolled his eyes and sat back. Dragons! Yeah, he probably would.

'Why do you keep doing that, this exclamation about dragons as if we try your patience? You are a dragon. And why is it so preposterous to take on such a challenge? It sounds like a marvelous adventure,' Mistral said in Skye's mind.

No. Absolutely, positively "no." Bad enough I can't resist the men already in my life. And let's not forget my magic keeps finding new ones to add to my list.

'Fine. Are you going to explain the rest to him?' Mistral asked.

Not yet. I want to talk to Pater first, and it might be something we need to keep between us and Kwill.

"Tell you what, I'll start pulling together a list of what I'd need. You work on the clearance and getting me access. Some of the equipment and supplies could raise questions, so that will have to be part of what you get cleared," Kleitos explained. "Do I want to know how you can make this happen?"

Skye thought about it. "Maybe. Let me do some checking, and if I'm sure it won't put you in an awkward spot, I'll tell you."

"You seem to be doing a little better. Is everything okay?" Kleitos asked.

"No, I waited too long, but I blocked him out so it didn't get worse."

"You know, I find it absolutely fascinating what you and Garrett can share. It isn't very common. Less than one percent of bonded pairs have your level of connection."

"So now I'm a case study," Skye retorted.

"Yes, but I would really like to do... more in-depth research." Kleitos's tone made it very clear that this was not at all a clinical or professional undertaking. He stood and began slowly unbuttoning his jacket.

"Um... Kleitos?" Skye felt the room getting much warmer. He couldn't tear his eyes away as Kleitos undid button after button, giving a peek at the smooth dark golden skin beneath.

"You'll have to thank Garrett for me. You do know that just because you're not completely human, doesn't mean I can't tell when you're interested or aroused. Actually, while different it's even easier. I can smell it, Skye. I can feel your need like a vibration through our bond."

Oh, shit. Skye licked his lips and watched the jacket slide off Kleitos's shoulders revealing his slender, lean body. Not bulging muscle like his mate, but very defined and ripped. Skye could already imagine the taste and texture of the dark nipples contrasted against Kleitos's golden skin. The waist of his pants rode low on his slender hips, just giving a hint of his Adonis Belt.

"It's been too long..." Skye whispered, remembering that their last time was when Garrett had disappeared up to the station and cut him off.

"It has." Kleitos unfastened the clasp of his trousers revealing a little more of the smooth skin.

Skye fought the urge to help Kleitos. He wanted him uncovered, he wanted to see every inch of the golden dragon. Even though it had been a while, he could never forget what it was like to be with Kleitos.

'Then why have we pushed him away?' Mistral asked.

Skye continued to watch the seductive way Kleitos was revealing himself. I wasn't intentionally pushing him away, but he's not as forward or as pushy as Nik. I know he's been with River many times.

'Nik is very much like our mate, and while River is his wing-brother, Kleitos needs us,' Mistral scolded.

Kleitos stood before Skye in all his shimmering glory. The firelight danced on his skin, and his cock stood proudly erect.

"Did you want to watch me pleasure myself, or would you like to help me?" Kleitos asked running his finger up the stiff shaft of his dick.

Skye had forgotten how strong the pull was with a dragon who would have been a potential bond-mate. He could feel Mistral pushing against him, urging him to get closer, to touch, to kiss... "Help...I want to help."

"This would be easier if you weren't completely clothed." Kleitos took a step closer.

"Yeah." Skye undressed so quickly he ripped seams and buttons flew. He stood and stared, afraid that if he got closer, he'd burst into flames. Kleitos took the decision away from him and stepped in until their bodies were pressed together.

Kleitos licked up Sky's neck and across his jaw. His tongue teased at Skye's lips before he pressed in for a tender kiss. "Was being with me so terrible, Skye?"

"No, not terrible at all." Skye's voice came out barely above a whisper. That nagging critical voice told him this was wrong, to be with his mate's brother, to be with anyone other than Garrett. But his body and the dragon inside him screamed for more. Those voices echoed louder.

"You see, Skye... I remember being with you as a wonderful experience. Tender, loving, and full of passion." Kleitos's breath teased across Skye's lips as he spoke.

Skye pulled on Kleitos's hips rubbing their cocks against each other. Skye could feel the slick from their pre-cum already coating them. Kleitos kissed down Skye's neck to his shoulder, then down across his pec stopping at his nipple. He teased it with the tip of his tongue until it was hard making Skye moan. Kleitos looked up at Skye and grinned as he sucked hard on the pebbled nipple. He tugged with his teeth and sucked harder. "Mmmmm."

Skye felt his legs starting to shake and steadied himself, placing his hands on Kleitos's shoulders.

Kleitos pulled back and teased the nipple again, squeezing it between his fingers until a clear bubble formed. "Dragon milk." Kleitos licked it up then moved to the other nipple.

Skye knew that his body had changed, but to see the clear fluid come from his own nipples was a stark reminder that he wasn't fully human anymore. Skye reached down and pulled Kleitos to his feet so they could resume their kiss, backing Kleitos up until he had to sit down on the couch. Skye knelt at his feet and began kissing down Kleitos's lean chest, stopping on the way to show that he knew how to properly treat a dragon nipple.

Skye licked and nibbled, kissing the warm golden skin until Kleitos's hard cock was pressed against his face. He could feel the heat and the wetness. Skye licked up the shaft, so similar to Garrett's and took the thick head into his mouth. He closed his eyes and savored Kleitos's taste. Similar to his mate but still different.

Skye worked his way down on the dragon dick until his nose was pressed into the smooth skin of Kleitos's crotch. He could feel the cock pulsing in his throat as he slowly slid back up, careful to lick and suck the whole way.

"Garrett doesn't deserve you," Kleitos whispered as he caressed Skye's face. "You are so beautiful and so skilled. If all those dragons lusting after those images knew the truth, you wouldn't be able to step outside without a battalion to protect you."

Skye gave a strong suck and let the cockhead plop out of his mouth. "Are you sweet talking me? I'm already sucking your dick."

"No, Skye. That's just truth. Father Dragon has truly blessed me, just giving me these rare occasions to see nirvana, to know ultimate joy, and peace."

"Peace? I'm obviously doing this wrong and need to up my game." Skye crawled up Kleitos's body kissing and licking until he captured his mouth and knelt over his lap. As they kissed, Skye slowly lowered himself onto Kleitos's cock, guiding it into his dragon hole. Garrett's sharing had already made him wet and ready and triggered a hunger for being impaled. How perfect that Kleitos's cock was so close in size to be able to scratch the itch his mate created.

Mistral was prodding for Skye to pull his magic and use his telekinetic powers on Kleitos, but Skye wanted to hold that back for later. It had been too long since he was with Kleitos to be so quick. Skye closed his eyes as he kissed and rode the thick cock buried inside him. He could still feel the echoes of Garrett's own love-making.

'You know that means he's likely feeling ours as well,' Mistral said.

That's good. Only fair that we share with him. You know how he loves to share.

'Given his jealousy of Kleitos, is this a good idea?' Mistral cautioned.

He'll be fine, but we might ask Kwill to help us figure out why Kleitos is the only one that gets him worked up.

Skye let out a groan as Kleitos started thrusting up to meet him, he could feel the orgasm building in his partner. Skye released the kiss and sat up to better concentrate. Only two more thrusts and he felt Kleitos erupt inside him.

"Father Dragon!" Kleitos cried out as he gripped Skye's hips and held him in place. When Kleitos finally released him, Skye dismounted and crawled between Kleitos's legs, licking him clean.

"Why is it so much more intense with you?"

"The bond. Imagine how much better it will be when we find you a mate." Skye held his hand out to help Kleitos up from the couch. "Let's move to the bed."

"What? You're not done with me?" Kleitos asked.

Skye could feel the surprise. Kleitos had expected to be done. Dismissed. Sent away. "I was hoping you'd stay all night. Do you have other plans?"

More surprise.

"I'd love to. Stay all night that is."

"Good. So you're warned, Rilien will be joining us later. I don't expect anything other than companionship but even being in the same room with us will help him."

Kleitos stepped into Skye and wrapped his arms around him, stealing another kiss. "Then we should get on with things."

Skye pulled the covers back and watched Kleitos climb onto the bed. His lean form moved with the grace of a dancer. Kleitos turned and fluffed the pillows as he lay on his back and spread his legs, knees pulled up. Skye, or rather Mistral made a low rumbling growl.

"If I wasn't wet before, I sure am now. You just going to stand there and stare at me?" Kleitos reached down and ran a long delicate finger over his hole.

He did that just like Garrett. The pose, the look, even the hunger I feel through the bond.

'Brothers. Makes you wonder which parent they got it from,' Mistral pondered.

Skye climbed onto the bed and pressed in between Kleitos's knees rubbing their bodies together. "Don't ever question that you get to me, Kleitos."

"Mmm. Good to know. I've been feeling like the ugly duckling of the family."

Skye kissed him and reached down to squeeze his cock. "Never. You are beautiful, and I intend on finding you a worthy mate."

"So you don't have to deal with me. I understand." Kleitos turned his head away.

"No. Because I want the very best for you. You're still stuck with me. We're wing-mates and this bond, this connection we have will always be there. And if you still want me after you're bonded, I could never deny you. Feel our bond. You know I'm being honest."

A single tear slid down Kleitos's face, and Skye leaned in and caught it on his tongue. He kissed Kleitos tenderly. "Enough talk."

Kleitos shifted and helped Skye to enter him. His dragon hole hungrily opened up and pulled Skye in, the nubs pulling him deep. "I need your essence. Can I..."

Skye stopped Kleitos's words with a kiss. Yes. As soon as the thought was delivered, he felt Kleitos's flutter prodding him, gently sliding inside his cock like a sound. He felt full and even harder as the strange tickle slid deep into him. Skye held still as he adjusted to the sensation. The flutter was warm and soft, it didn't hurt, and there was no friction, just that tingle and fullness.

Kleitos wrapped his legs around Skye's hips and pulled him in tighter. "I've missed you."

"I'm not going to last long. You feel too good," Skye whispered before kissing Kleitos again.

Skye began slow, gentle thrusts, trying to feel every millimeter of Kleitos's dragon hole. Like Garrett and Nik, it seemed like it was a perfect fit, made just for him. He pulled his magic and began using his powers to add to Kleitos's pleasure. He began with caressing his balls and his cock, then added his dragon nipples, squeezing and milking them until Kleitos couldn't hold their kiss. He moaned and writhed, his eyes already filling with flames as he began to glow.

"Father Dragon," Kleitos moaned throwing his head back and gasping.

Skye felt Kleitos's passage twitch and squeeze as an anal orgasm took him. He was glowing brightly now, and his breathing was rapid.

Skye continued his steady pace, going as deep as Kleitos's body would allow. His body quivered again, his ass tightening. Skye knew both he and Kleitos were close. He pulled his magic, letting Mistral help guide him. Then his orgasm hit and he came, his cock felt like it would explode from the pressure as the flutter struggled to siphon away his spend. Kleitos lifted off the bed as his dick squirted jet after jet of hot seed between them and Skye pushed his magic into Kleitos, filling him like an empty vessel.

Skye held on to his lover, trying to catch his breath. His mind spun, and he had to close his eyes to shield out the light. He and Kleitos were glowing as brightly as the noon-day sun. Kleitos's legs squeezed, pulling Skye in a little deeper as he wiggled his ass, grinding himself onto Skye's cock.

"You could most definitely spoil a dragon."

"I try." Skye held still until the flutter retracted then gently withdrew. He slid down and licked up Kleitos's seed. You know Mistral, I've really come to love the taste of cum.

'Our body recognizes our wing-brothers, we've taken in their essence, and we know they are ours.'

Skye slid up to lie beside Kleitos and pulled him in, so Kleitos's head was resting on his chest.

"Thank you, Skye. I can't tell you how much I needed this."

"I needed it too, Kleitos and not just the sex, I need you. Like I said, we're bonded, and the need goes both ways."

Kleitos ran his hand over Skye's chest and gave a playful kiss to his nipple. "Garrett is such a lucky bastard."

"I wouldn't mind if you reminded him of that now and again," Skye teased.

"Are you doing better? With the changes and all?" Kleitos continued running his hand over Skye's chest and stomach as he snuggled in.

"I think so. Mistral and I seem to be doing much better and working out a balance. I still have guilt issues and struggle with 'dragon' ways, but maybe that will always be true. River seems to have handled it better."

"You're not River. You may look similar, but River has a very different outlook. I think he was also ahead of you in accepting his attraction to men."

Skye laughed. "At least by a few years. I also think I got double a dose of guilt and 'shoulds.' He doesn't seem bothered by stuff."

"We're all different. You know I'm here for you if you ever just need to talk or have questions. Put my education to good work."

"You mean you're more than just an incredibly hot, sexy body?" Skye turned and gave his best serious look.

"Amazing isn't it. I have a brain that makes it all work. But... if you just want to use my body, I might be okay with that." Kleitos rolled over on top of Skye, licking the tip of his nose. His dark hair fell around them, tickling and erotic at the same time.

"I think I want the whole package. I mean where else could I find an expert on humans and bonding in such a nice package."

"Do we need to worry about Dillon coming back?" Kleitos asked.

"Nope. He's spending the night with Christos. They're pretty close and have been away from each other longer than they liked. Do you think I'll get in trouble for not socializing?"

"Goodness, no. Everyone understands you've been through a lot in the last several days. I think they'll all give you some extra space."

"Good. I hope we can help Rilien. I hate seeing him so sad." As if on cue, a subtle knock sounded at the door. Kleitos rolled over to be beside Skye.

"Sirs, Rilien is requesting entry," the guard announced.

"Send him in please," Skye answered.

Rilien walked in and stopped, blushing as he turned his head.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt. I can go back to my room," Rilien stammered.

"Please stay. You didn't interrupt. We were snuggling and chatting." Skye sat up.

"Doesn't smell like chatting," Rilien said with a bashful smile.

"Well, that's what we were doing 'now.' Not what we might have done a while ago. So, would you like to sleep in here tonight? The bed is big enough, you don't have to even touch anyone. But you tell us, what would make you comfortable?"

Rilien shuffled his feet and stared at the floor as he thought.

Skye dropped his shields enough to pick up any strong thoughts or emotions, without purposefully digging. He didn't want to do anything to push Rilien. The only downside was that he also picked up that Garrett was still going at it; Jerrick was no longer working.

"I think I'd really like to be cuddled. I'm not ready for other stuff, if you know what I mean." Rilien didn't look up or make eye contact when he spoke.

"Okay, we can do that. This is all about what makes you comfortable," Skye said.

"If you'd rather just be here with Skye, I would understand and don't mind leaving," Kleitos offered.

"If it would be okay, I'd like you to stay and if you wouldn't mind, could I be in the middle?" Rilien looked up, his expression somewhat sad and lost.

"Yes," Kleitos and Skye answered.

"Tell you what, why don't we take turns getting ready for bed and then we can make a Rilien sandwich and make you feel all safe, snug, and loved."

"Yeah." Rilien gave a real smile that reached his eyes.

Didn't take long before Skye was crawling under the covers next to Rilien.

"If you feel smothered or need space, tell us," Skye said placing a hand on Rilien's shoulder.

"I know I'm being silly," Rilien said.

"Not at all. Take things at your own speed. There is no right or wrong way to recover from what you've been through," Kleitos explained.

"You know, Ril, River and I both had bad experiences and were raped. But we didn't deal with it the same way. You decide what you want and when you're ready. We're here for you," Skye said.

"Did you... did you feel... dirty?" Rilien's voice was barely above a whisper.

"Very. The first time it happened I thought my life was over. I couldn't imagine any scenario where Garrett would still want me. I really thought dying was not so bad. But I was wrong, so very wrong. Garrett proved he loved me over and over again. He didn't think less of me or blame me, and I had to accept that I was a victim and did nothing to deserve it or make it happen."

"How long did that take?" Rilien asked.

"A while. Like Kleitos said, it's different for each individual. Kwill can help you too. He's really worked with River, and I know it helped him."

"Tennat talked to me, and I know he tried. They didn't physically hurt me. One of the psions was always there, and they made sure they didn't. The psions also told them not to say mean things, but they still did."

"You don't have to talk about this if you're not ready," Kleitos said.

"No, I want to. I feel safe with you. They told me I wasn't a man, just an ass to use, a hole to fuck. They laughed about how small I was and that their dicks would break me." Rilien turned to look at Skye and gave a small smile. "They weren't near as big as Garrett so that part didn't worry me."

Skye nodded and began rubbing circles on Rilien's chest as he spoke.

"I didn't like being tied down. I felt helpless, and they kept giving me drugs that made everything foggy and strange. I tried to use my magic but it wouldn't work, it was like the power was just gone. I tried not to think of anything important or of you or our wing. I didn't want the psions to use it against you. I felt so alone. Even my body betrayed me."

"You were drugged, Rilien. That was beyond your control," Kleitos said.

Rilien turned to look at Kleitos. "But it felt good. They weren't rough, just... I don't know... impersonal. I was just a hole to fuck, and every time, they made me cum, and I felt dirtier and dirtier."

"Well just so you know, you're not dirty, and you know now from our bond that I'm being honest. If it helps, when the slavers made the centaur breed me, it felt good. We were both drugged, and Kepper had put something inside me so I wouldn't feel the pain. I had a mind-blowing orgasm, and yes, I felt soiled and tainted. I hated that my body enjoyed it when it was so wrong."

"Guess you do understand," Rilien muttered.

"So, you think I'm dirty and tainted?" Skye asked.

"Of course not! They forced you and drugged you," Rilien exclaimed and then froze looking back and forth between Skye and Kleitos.

"That was sneaky," Rilien harrumphed crossing his arms.

"And you're different, why?" Kleitos asked. "Give it time, Rilien. You know up here." Kleitos tapped Rilien's head. "We just have to wait for the rest of you to catch up."

"Let the wing help you, Rilien. We all love you so much. We're here for you and will do whatever 'you' need. Chaz even made a point of asking me to let you know they love you."

"Snuggles?" Rilien asked scooting down under the covers.

"Snuggles." Skye turned Rilien on his side and spooned in behind him as Rilien pressed up against Kleitos's back. Skye did another scan with his magic sight and smiled when he realized Rilien was already asleep.

  • Scene 4 *

Skye carefully extricated himself from Rilien, trying not to wake the elf as he got up. He pulled the covers up and tucked him back in. It had been a long night but not for the reasons Skye expected. He stepped into the bath and stopped to admire the view.

Kleitos was bent over leaning on the sink. His beautiful lean body on full display.

"Morning. You okay?" Skye asked.

"No. Have you ever tried to sleep with a little minx's hand wrapped around your dick while he dry humps your ass?"

Skye couldn't help but snicker. "Was he awake?"

"I don't think so. He was muttering in his sleep but sadly, no. Sound asleep. I think I showed incredible self-control."

"Ha ha. I'm with you. Several times I woke to find him rubbing his cute little ass up and down my cock - nestled snuggly right between his sweet cheeks. But as you said, sound asleep. Wait, do you know what he was muttering?"

Kleitos turned and leaned back against the counter crossing his arms over his chest. "Not much. He kept repeating 'so big.'"

Skye stepped forward and took Kleitos's erection in his hand. "Well, he was right about that."

"I really considered moving into a position so he could have fucked me for real. I was certainly wet enough, he wouldn't have had to even try. But..."

Skye kissed Kleitos, stepping in so their bodies were pressed together. "I know, it was tough. But I take this as a sign that it won't be long until he's back to his old self. I have to constantly remind myself that he's several years older than me and that he's no innocent when it comes to sex."

"He's an adult Skye. He could walk out tomorrow, and you couldn't stop him. Elves are really hard to peg for age. You know a high-elf won't even get facial hair until they're over one hundred? I think Rilien's still naive and a bit sheltered for his age. Not that uncommon for royals. We were lucky that Father and Pater allowed us to make mistakes and be somewhat normal."

Skye could see that, and for the most part, it worked out well. Zo... was a sad exception. He stepped back after giving Kleitos's dick a squeeze and walked over to the shower.

"Care to join me?"

"Gladly." Kleitos followed Skye into the showers, stepping into the spray.

"Geez. I didn't think you could get any sexier." Skye began at Kleitos's slicked-back hair as his eyes moved lower, the water running over the planes of Kleitos's face, his chest, and tight stomach. His hard cock was creating a fountain. His legs were slick and shiny.

Mistral, I fully accept I have a wet man fetish. Only thing better than a hot sexy guy is a wet hot, sexy guy.

'Can we stop talking about it and do something? The smell of his need is overwhelming.' Mistral stirred under Skye's skin, edging him forward.

"You are so hot," Skye whispered moving in behind Kleitos and wrapping his arms around him. Letting his erection glide over the firm round ass cheeks.

"Fuck me, Skye. Please."

Skye dispensed some of the soap into his hand and began running his hands over Kleitos's body.

"Did you forget what 'fuck' means?" Kleitos growled.

Skye moved the wet strands of hair plastered to Kleitos's neck and bit sensually at the skin. He licked up behind Kleitos's ear. "No. I just like touching you." Skye's soapy hand slid down to Kleitos's cock and gave a slow, slippery pull.

"Father Dragon, Skye. Just fuck me already!"

Skye aligned himself, spreading the dark golden globes. He groaned as the wet heat engulfed him, sliding in easily. Wow, Mistral. He really was ready.

"No flutter. Fuck me hard." Kleitos put his hands out bracing against the shower wall as he bent over and pushed his ass back, taking all of Skye into his ass. He spread his legs and looked over his shoulder, his wet dark hair clinging to his face. "Now!"

Skye gripped Kleitos's hips and pulled back, then thrust in again. Mistral was pushing at Skye to go faster, and he did. He fucked deep and hard, their bodies slapping together as Skye claimed Kleitos's ass.

Kleitos grunted and groaned with each deep thrust. He spread his legs even farther letting Skye penetrate him just a little deeper. "YES! Fuck me!"

Skye leaned over Kleitos's back and reached around gripping the thick hard cock in his soap-slicked hand. He squeezed and stroked as he ground himself as deep and hard into Kleitos as he could. Skye could feel Kleitos's ass quiver and tighten, and his cock swelling as it pumped his dragon seed against the shower wall.

Skye pulled his magic and hit every one of Kleitos's erogenous zone he could remember as he felt his climax overtake him. He held on tight as his cock throbbed and pulsed in the tight, hot channel, filling Kleitos with his spend.

"FUCK!" Kleitos cried out, as his cock shot forth another volley of jizz.

Skye held Kleitos for a minute, trying to regain his balance. He bit teasingly at Kleitos's shoulder and helped him stand, slowly pulling out. He turned Kleitos and kissed him, driving his tongue into Kleitos's mouth. The kiss bordered on savage. Mistral was so close to the surface, Skye wasn't sure who was in charge.

They broke apart and just held each other as the water rained down, washing away the last vestiges of their cum.

Kleitos gripped Skye's face and kissed him. "That's the way to start the day."

"Yeah," Skye laughed. As his brain started to reengage, Skye felt a presence and turned to see Rilien standing at the entrance to the shower, eyes wide and very aroused.

"Um, sorry, but that was like so hot." Rilien blushed and averted his eyes, staring at the floor.

"Whenever you are ready, you are always welcome. We'll take it at your pace," Kleitos said.

"Want us to wash you? There's room," Skye offered.

Rilien nodded and stepped in between them. Kleitos began lathering Rilien's back and shoulders while Skye knelt down and did his front, carefully doing his legs and crotch. Even shielding, he picked up a tickle from Rilien and so opened up to him.

"Are you sure? There's no rush?" Skye asked looking up into Rilien's green eyes.

"I'm sure," Rilien said adamantly pushing his hips forward to prove it.

"Lean back into Kleitos and let him support you. If you want me to stop, just say so. I'll keep my shields down so I can tell as soon as you think it."

Rilien ran his hands over Skye's head and gently tugged him forward.

"Okay, okay." Skye opened his mouth and took Rilien in to the root, gently sucking and licking Rilien's dick. He couldn't remember Rilien ever being this hard or aroused. He'd only been at it a minute or two when he felt Rilien's legs shaking. Kleitos gripped the elf a little tighter, his arms wrapped around him to hold him up.

"OHHHHH!" Rilien cried out as his cock began spurting down Skye's throat.

Burst after burst of sweet elf nectar filled Skye's mouth. He sucked and licked until Rilien was a rag doll in Kleitos's arms and no drop of elf seed was left.

"You okay?" Skye asked turning off the showers and grabbing towels.

"Mmm. Perfect." Rilien wrapped his arms around Skye and kissed him. "Thank you."

"Believe me, it was my pleasure." Skye finished drying off Rilien and Kleitos helped him get the elf tucked back into bed.

"I need to head back to my room and get dressed for the day. I'll start figuring out what we'll need." Kleitos pulled on his clothes from the day before and was turning to the door.

"Hey," Skye said grabbing Kleitos's arm and turning him in for a quick kiss. "Thanks, and tonight bring your clothes with you. Maybe we could have breakfast in the room tomorrow?"

"I'll do that." Kleitos's smile was from ear to ear.

"Be prepared for teasing at breakfast," Skye said.

"What?" Kleitos looked down at his hands and realized how brightly he was glowing. He then lifted Skye's hand in front of Skye's face. "I won't be alone."

  • Scene 5 *

Skye walked up the ramp feeling a sense of deja vu. Not all of his memories of the Empire Court and Assembly Hall could be described as "good." Fortunately, he'd thought to check his comm unit to find that his appointment was at the office within the Assembly Hall, not at the palace like he'd expected.

"So why all the extra guards and security?" Skye asked as they passed yet another checkpoint. He was already suspicious when Mica had taken them through back doors and tunnels to get this far.

"Um... challenges with citizens?" Mica muttered.

Skye stopped at turned to look at his guard. "Bullshit. Don't make me read you." Skye was even a little more agitated when he heard Leesai snicker. Leesai never snickered.

"Someone's fans have been overwhelming normal security protocols. They've set up barricades and temporarily closed the Court to public access unless the citizen can prove they have business inside." Mica refused to make eye contact as he answered.

"Oh, God." He doesn't mean me, does he, Mistral?

'You can either ask him or read him. I'm not psychic, though I do have many other talents.'

"Mica, are you saying it's because of me?"

"No, I was trying very hard not to." Mica grimaced and glanced around at the guards giving them the "eye." "We need to keep moving." His eyes darted to the large wall of windows to the side, drawing Skye's attention.

Crowds of people were behind barricades yelling and screaming, jumping and waving... at him.

"Oh shit." Skye felt light headed and turned to look at Mica, he hadn't had a panic attack in... He couldn't breathe. His heart was pounding. Everything started to spin.

"Skye!" Leesai shouted in a commanding voice pulling him into her and wrapping her arms around him.

Damn, she was big, and she had his head pressed into her large, very firm boobs. He was held so tightly he had to relax and take a deep breath. He could hear a deep rumbling and realized Leesai was purring. He wanted to laugh but thought she'd shred him.

"He's better now," Leesai said to Mica.

"Okay, let's keep moving." Mica led them farther into the Assembly Halls and out of sight. Once they were in the inner corridors, Mica and Leesai gave Skye a little more space.

"Prince Skye! Prince Skye! Hold up," a male voice shouted from behind them.

Skye felt his heart rate spike again and was ready to bolt when Leesai put a hand on his shoulder.

"It's okay, Skye." Leesai made sure Skye looked her in the eyes. Her very feline eyes.

"Oh, thank you, Prince Skye." The man stopped and gave a bow from the waist.

Skye was about to extend his hand when he caught himself and gave a head bow instead. It was a hard habit to break. A head bow or nod was the "normal" greeting. If the person was senior or you wanted to show respect, you bowed from the waist. The exception being the Emperor and his mate. You were expected to drop a knee for the Prince and touch your head to the ground for the Emperor unless he specifically said there was no need for formality. Dragons did not shake hands unless attacking you or pulling you in for a hug.

"May I talk to you on the way to your office?" the man asked.

"Sure." Skye had no idea who the man was. Mistral had already determined he was a dragon, likely a silver, and his clothing made Skye think he worked here.

"I am Kensey, the facility coordinator for the Empire Court and Assembly Halls. I wanted to let you know we've done some rearranging and have found new office space. It should be ready for you to tour within a day or so. Or, if you'd prefer, your assistants could preview it for you. If it's acceptable, just let us know how you'd like it finished, and we'll get right on it."

"New office space?" Skye clarified as they continued to walk to his office.

"What you have now is temporary, certainly not suited for you long term. Serat's office put in the request a few weeks ago, but it's taken this long to get everything moving. I've sent all the details to your assistant. I apologize for the unconventional meeting, but your calendar was full, and we want to accommodate you as soon as possible," Kensey said.

"Thank you." Skye looked at Mica hoping his guard could give him some insight but only got a shrug.

"Good day, Prince Skye," Kensey said and headed off in the other direction.

Skye turned to find Leesai holding the door open for him, and he stepped into Venci's and Braden's office. Venci was at his desk behind a wall of hollo screens. The look on his face...

"Father Dragon, Skye! This is just fuckin' unbelievable!"

The excitement and energy were rolling off Venci in waves. The emotion was so strong it was making Skye feel a little jangled.

"Are you okay?" Skye moved in as Mica closed the door behind him. Skye glanced over to Braden's desk, but he wasn't there.

"Okay?" Venci looked a little dazed. "Okay? I'm fucking awesome!"

Mica and Leesai laughed. Skye moved around to see what was on the displays. Maybe it took practice, he couldn't make sense of the multiple overlaid transparent images.

"Is this about the office?" Skye asked.

"The what? Oh, no. That's good and all, but this is fucking..." Venci started moving screens around still not answering Skye.

"We all know you're awesome, Venci, but maybe you could explain to Skye what has you so worked up?" Mica used his most professional and calming voice.

"Do you know who called? Not just one of his people, but the dragon himself." Venci was practically shouting.

Skye had never seen Venci so worked up, and it was starting to worry him. Mistral, do you think he's been drugged?

'We could check him over,' Mistral suggested.

Before Skye could do so, Venci continued on.

"Carmen Brightwing. Primary owner, CEO, and President of Dragon Lust." Venci's look gave the suggestion that his response should answer all of Skye's questions and furthermore that he should be very impressed.

"You're kidding!" Mica exclaimed. "What did he want?"

"You wouldn't believe it!" Venci said.

"Guys, please. For the non-natives, what the heck are you talking about? Who is Carmen Brightwing? What is Dragon Lust?" Skye realized what he just asked and felt an internal rumble from his dragon.

'You should know all about dragon lust,' Mistral teased.

"Dragon Lust is an entertainment company. They're involved in a number of ventures including holovids, music, nightclubs, and events. They own The Lust Factory and other similar clubs all over the empire. Carmen owns the company and is himself a 'personality.' Sort of bigger than life, flamboyant, and out there," Venci explained.

"And he called you for..." Skye felt like he was pulling teeth.

"No, he called you. Carmen, not one of his flunkies. He wants to meet with you to discuss a business venture and wants you to think about being a spokesperson for the Lust brand. He also asked if you'd be willing to set up an introduction to Corey and his mate Ronan D'Or Talon. And... he said you and your 'entourage' are welcome at any of his clubs, any time, any location. Just call ahead to his personal number, and he'll make sure a VIP box is waiting for you. Oh... and get this." Venci gave a dramatic pause with a meaningful look to Mica. "All on the house. Food, drinks, fees, and any 'entertainment.'" Venci accompanied the last with air quotes.

"Seriously?" Mica asked in disbelief.

"No shit!" Venci was bouncing again.

"Holy fuck," Mica said leaning against the door.

Skye looked back and forth between the two dragons. He checked for drugs. Nothing. He turned to Leesai to see if she was following this better than he. She must have noticed his inquiring look.

"Sorry, Skye. I'm as confused as you," Leesai said.

"Maybe I need to ask Garrett," Skye thought out loud. "Venci, what's this office change thing?"

"Oh... They want us to move to a more restricted area. It's still part of the Ambassadors' wing, but it has a security checkpoint, and you have to go through a secure waiting area and get cleared by a receptionist before entering. I expect it will be pretty posh. The memo said it's a full suite, four standard offices, two deluxe, conference room, and two washrooms. And it has a small kitchenette."

"Why? I'm barely here, and Garrett probably won't ever set foot in it."

"You have an image to maintain. This came from Serat's office, which probably means from Emperor Darius. It will also help if you're in a more secured area. The fans are... enthusiastic."

"So all that extra security really was because of me?" Skye struggled to believe it.

"Um, yeah?" Venci shrugged. "Your first appointment should be here shortly. Oh, we also need to decide how you want your office decorated."

Skye thought about it for a minute, trying to get his own heart rate to slow down. Venci was still vibrating like a tuning fork.

"Come up with some proposals, I'm leaning toward modern, spacey, techy, very non-Earth-like."

Skye walked in and had barely taken a seat at his desk when there was a knock at the door. Leesai poked her head in.

"Prince Skye, Lady Telawynn." Leesai held the door open allowing the Queen Mother to enter.

"Prince Skye," Lady Telawynn said with a delicate bow.

"Lady Telawynn, I'm honored. Please come in." Skye waived toward the couch and sat after Lady Telawynn was settled. She was as regal as he remembered, tall and elegant with a rich, almost gravelly voice. Maybe whiskey voice was a better description. Her sleek dark hair was in a fanciful side-do. Skye couldn't help but think she was one of the most stunning women he'd ever met. Her ivory skin was flawless, and her cobalt eyes held years of wisdom.

"Thank you for seeing me so quickly. I know your life has been anything but calm of late."

Skye could feel her silent power. Not strictly magic, but a force of personality and purpose. He reached out to Mistral to make sure he wasn't misreading his guest because he inherently trusted her and relaxed in her presence.

'She is as she seems Skye. I sense nothing amiss,' Mistral said.

"How can I help you Lady Telawynn? I was surprised to see were meeting here. I thought we'd connect at the Palace."

"Even there, too many ears." Lady Telawynn reached into her clutch and pulled out a crystal, setting it on the small table between them. She tapped it, and it began to pulse. "I've been keeping to myself other than sitting with Rilien. He's quite special."

"I think so. I'm sure Dillon wants to connect with you. He's still... struggling."

Lady Telawynn paused and gave Skye a discerning look as if she could see something in him that told a story. "He's much better off with you. You've been good for him and dare I say, you've even helped Gilian. While I know it is painful for him, he is so much stronger now. The other court issues will eventually fade, and by then, he probably won't even care. But don't misunderstand, I love my great-grandson dearly and will always look out for him."

"Good." Skye smiled at how forward he'd been. "I'm glad to hear that. May I ask... Tally?"

"He's doing very well. He did leave Underhill but hasn't ventured far. He's staying with Theon. They've become... quite close. It will take him a while to feel comfortable in the outside world, but he did send greetings."

"I'm glad. Sorry, I haven't let you get to your purpose for our meeting."

"No polite way to ease into this. My apologies, Prince Skye. but Caladwen is in danger, the foal she is carrying is growing too rapidly for her."

"I have no idea how I can help," Skye said.

"The centaurs seem to believe you have the answer and want you to come in person. Also, the centaur the slavers used against you has begged an audience. You can understand why he doesn't feel comfortable coming to the Court."

"Um, yeah. Okay, I can do both." Skye was already planning out in his head who'd he'd have to ask, who could go...

"There's more, Prince Skye." Lady Telawynn interrupted his thoughts and was wringing her hands.

Mistral, that's not a good sign.

"Something is wrong in Underhill, and it's barraging those within its halls with dreams and visions. They're all the same. 'Skye must come to Underhill, soon.'"

"Shit," Skye muttered.
