Dancing with the Dragon Chapter 22: Briar Patch by Tripp Savidge

  • Scene 1 *

Skye was surprised to find Argos still seated at the table when he entered for breakfast.

"Good morning Skye," Pater said reaching out an arm in invitation.

Skye hugged him and then sat down in the seat beside him. "Good morning Pater."

"The others still sleeping?"

"Uhm, no, not really," Skye answered hesitantly.

"Could you please bring a plate for Skye?" Pater asked the server before turning back to Skye. "Do you prefer tea or coffee?"

"Tea please."

"Yes Your Majesty."

Pater gave him a smile. "Glad to see you're properly civilized."

"Pardon?"

"You prefer tea," Argos stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Oh. Yeah, I never really got a taste for coffee. Grandpa liked it but I can only drink the 'fru fru' stuff."

"Fru fru?"

"On Earth many of the coffee shops have variants on coffee that include steamed milk, flavored syrups and whipped cream. Those I can drink. But for someone who truly likes coffee, I'm not sure it counts."

Pater laughed as the server let Skye select his tea and then prepared the strainer and pot.

"So not sleeping you said. May I take that to mean your evening with Rilien was... successful?"

"You knew?"

"Of course dear. They spoke to me before they planned it out. They were all quite worried about how you'd react."

Skye sat a moment trying to decide what exactly he wanted to ask. "May I ask what you meant by plan and who 'they' are?"

"Oh Skye, you are precious. The boys were so worried you'd leave before taking care of Rilien. Kwill told Garrett that there was no question about what he needed. And you know Rilien was getting worse. So Garrett, Willow, and Dillon worked to come up with a way to make him irresistible. I believe they may have pulled Christos in on their scheme as well... and obviously Kwill."

Skye really wanted to be angry but realized he couldn't muster up the emotion. The night with Rilien was too good, too perfect to make it less than it was. Rilien reveled in their attention and couldn't seem to get enough.

"So do you know what they did?" Skye asked.

"Not for sure. The plan was that Garrett was going to make you relax and get you in the mood. The boys gave Rilien a full treatment with a scented bath, oils, and makeup to make him even more stunning than usual. Then I believe you may have had some dragon berry wine. Oh... and Kwill was responsible for shielding everyone so you could enjoy yourself."

"Well, it worked," Skye laughed. "By the way, dragon berry wine is my new favorite."

"Just be careful Skye, it's very potent. You know what a single, dried dragon berry can do. The wine is even stronger. Should we expect Garrett and Rilien to join us?"

"Probably not. I asked Dillon to take breakfast up to the room for them. They were... uhm... still going at it pretty hot and heavy when I left."

"And you didn't join?" Pater asked.

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but no I had my fill. I need some recovery time," Skye said with a blush, still struggling with the conversations he found himself having with his 'in-laws'.

"I'm sure you'll be fine. All three of the older boys had days like that - where they finally felt they got enough sex. Then the next day, they'd be back at it. I promise you it's very normal."

"I wasn't worried, actually I was rather enjoying not thinking about sex constantly. Then you go and tell me it's temporary." Skye paused as the server placed his food.

"Eat. You don't want it to get cold."

"You guys really spoil me." Skye took a bite and enjoyed how good it tasted. It was like being on Holiday every day of the week.

"I love taking care of my boys. Then you come along and now I have several more to fuss over. You've certainly brought some excitement. After Nikias I thought I'd be looking for some new hobbies but I think Christos and Rilien will keep me quite distracted."

"Not Willow?"

"Oh no Skye... that one's all yours. I'll help with the schooling but he's going to need your guidance. Besides, I don't think he'll let you out of his sight for too long."

"What am I going to do about them when I leave Draga?"

"I don't know, but... we've got several months to figure it out," Pater said as he poured another cup of tea.

"Pater, do you know how long until I'll have to deal with the new prisoner I selected to be pardoned?"

"At least a couple of days, why?"

"I need your help with him. I have no idea what to do with a fairy spy, or thief or whatever he thinks he is..."

"Let me think on it and talk to Seetal. I understand you gave him a condition of confessing to any prior crimes?"

"Yeah... if it would be okay with you and Father I'd like to have Tennat do the interview."

"Why's that?"

"I thought it would make his relationship with Kwill a little less challenging if he didn't always associate him with giving evidence and his past."

"I think that's a brilliant idea Skye and I'm sure Father and Tennat will be fine with doing so."

Skye felt a tingle on his wrist and looked down to see he had a new message. He turned his arm and called up the message. "This still seems weird."

"What? Receiving messages?"

"No, having it built into your arm." Skye read the message out loud, "Master Chen cancelled again for today. So Pater, what happens to the implants when we're in dragon form?"

"They stay with you. The communications and systems interface were specifically created for dragons and are bio technology. Some dragons still use it when they shift, though many can't be bothered. While there are many other types of implants, most don't work for shifters. You almost look disappointed, have you and Master Chen worked things out?"

"Guess you could say that. He now understands my hot buttons given the number of times I've been kidnapped, tied up and used and he's promised to do his best not to trigger me. We've agreed that in the dojo, he is the master and I am the student. I won't use my magic or psychic powers unless it is part of the lesson. Eventually he wants to bring Kwill in and incorporate my magic into my fighting. I agreed if Kwill was there I would be able to trust him a little more and Kwill can help make it an even match."

"You now sound more resigned to your training than enthused."

"Sort of. When Master Chen comes off as a bully or domineering, I find it very hard to control myself. But... I know he is trying and somewhat out of practice in teaching. I need to learn. I need every weapon and skill I can get because I'm really damned tired of being a victim."

"Your Majesties..." a guard said, stepping into the doorway of the breakfast room.

"Yes Clark?" Pater said.

"Ensign Braden Thomas is here for Prince Skye."

"Thank you Clark, please have him escorted to my study. Skye and I will be with him shortly," Pater said before returning his attention to Skye. "You don't mind if I join you?"

"No Pater, I'd be thrilled to have someone around who knows what they're doing." Skye caught his breath and gave a big smile as he turned to the door.

"Morning Pater, morning love," Garrett said striding into the room.

"My son, you do have a prominent glow this morning," Pater teased.

"Oh Pater! That Rilien... if you only liked boys... damn. You wouldn't believe wh..."

Pater held up a hand palm outward and gave a 'look'.

"Sorry," Garrett muttered looking down at the floor as if he'd been chastised,

"I'm glad you and Skye enjoyed your time with Rilien but I assure you Garrett, I don't need the details. Did you eat breakfast?"

"Yes Pater. Thank you."

"We were just about to meet with Skye's new secretary, Ensign Thomas. Do you wish to join us?"

"Sure," Garrett said with an unusually big smile. Skye, you wouldn't believe it. Rilien makes Willow look like a slacker. He mounted my morning wood and then insisted on another round when we took a shower. Twice before breakfast!

Yes love, I am quite aware of what you two were doing and I wouldn't let Willow know you think he was slacking. He's been intentionally holding back and trying to be reserved. I can assure you we haven't seen him in full 'nymph' mode.

Father Dragon! Really...

Yeah, really.

  • Scene 2 *

"Your Majesties," Braden said with a bow as Argos, Garrett, and Skye entered Pater's private study. He was wearing the same bright white HealthCorp's uniform, he'd worn at his interview.

Skye acknowledged Braden but couldn't help but look around the room. He'd never been in Pater's private study and it was very different from the Emperor's. Skye felt like they should be wearing togas. The room was sparsely furnished and all in white marble, with columns, very simple furniture and a desk that looked more like an altar.

"Welcome to the service of house D'Or Drakken Ensign Thomas," Argos said.

"Thank you Your Majesty, it is an honor."

"Good Morning Ensign Thomas, I'm Garrett, Prince Skye's bond-mate. How do you wish to be addressed? We don't typically use rank or full names except on formal occasions."

"Pleased to meet you, Your Majesty. If it pleases you Sir, I prefer Braden."

"Very good, you also won't need to wear a military uniform. Though I confess, it does show you off nicely," Garrett said as he gave Braden an obvious once-over.

Garrett! Really? Skye scolded.

Damn baby, see why you picked him. Those big tits just beg for some lovin' and that ass!

Guess it would be hypocritical to say anything to that - given I thought the same thing about him. Skye thought looking at how Braden's tight uniform hugged his body. Braden wasn't really fat but he had more meat on him than most of the military types Skye had met and the uniform struggled to contain his fuller than usual breasts and ass. Wonder if Garrett is picking up on my thoughts or maybe Braden's...

"Braden, I will ask Serat or Tibor to make suggestions on appropriate attire. As Garrett said, the only uniforms in the Palace are worn by the Imperial Guard. Street clothing is preferred for everyone else," Argos added.

"Garrett and I will be travelling for a couple of days but that will give you a good chance to spend some time with Dillon and familiarize yourself with the Palace and then you can meet with Tibor to transition what he's been handling," Skye said. "There's not a lot to worry about at the moment. Tibor has mainly been handling my calendar and setting up meetings. The other secretary, who will be your senior, Lieutenant Venci Lopez should be starting soon as well."

"Skye, why don't you let me introduce Braden to Dillon and give him a little tour on the way. I can also have him meet my secretary and the seneschal," Argos offered.

"Thank you Pater that would be helpful. Perhaps Kwill can start my lesson early today." Skye turned and walked up to Braden, extending his hand. "Welcome Braden. I'm really glad you accepted the position." Their touch brought a nice warm jolt and there was no way to miss the growing bulge in Braden's white trousers. The outline of his dick was quite apparent.

"I'm truly thrilled and honored Your Majesty," Braden said nervously.

Skye picked up his embarrassment at the reaction and the lingering guilt over his thoughts at the interview. While happy about getting the job he was worried Skye might still think less of him.

"I'm pleased too Braden. I look forward to working with you as does Garrett. Please don't be nervous about... uhm... reactions. If I didn't make it clear at the interview, my magic can have some unusual effects on people around me. That little jolt you got when we touched is an example, that's my magic's way of telling me that you are good for me."

Garrett laughed. "Yeah and if it's a strong jolt you can pretty much assume he wants to fuck you too."

"Garrett!" Pater and Skye said in unison.

"But it's true! He's going to find out eventually. Come on Skye, he's a dragon. He can feel your lust and I guarantee your guards talk about it... why keep him in the dark?"

Braden blushed even more than Skye.

"Don't worry Braden. I promise it's not a requirement of the job," Skye said.

"It's okay Your Majesty. I wouldn't mind at all," Braden said in a low voice - his face getting even redder.

  • Scene 3 *

Skye pulled the door closed as he stepped into the hall. Carefully ignoring the questioning looks from Feired and Corbin, he closed his eyes and just stood still for a moment. He took a couple of deep breaths. Okay Skye, you are fine. You didn't like do 'it' for real and he enjoyed it so all is good. But damn I feel so dirty. What if...

Stop it Skye! I can still hear you. You did what you needed to do. You did it well and it was a good lesson. Learning is not always easy, now don't you have somewhere you need to be? And remember to shield! Kwill admonished.

"Damn Psions," Skye muttered to himself and realized his guards were watching him with curiosity.

"Prince Garrett said to tell you he was in your suite packing," Feired said.

"Thanks." Skye responded. Don't know why he couldn't tell me himself. "Where are the other guards?"

"They'll meet us at the tube with the gear. We're supposed to catch the shuttle from HealthCorp's landing pad at the base."

"Thanks." Skye still felt a little guilty for what the guards had to deal with. But they'd been adamant that they would rather work longer shifts than take 'strangers', as they put it, to supplement their numbers. When the new guards we selected start that won't be a problem... but for a while it will still be awkward.

Skye entered to the suite to find Garrett seated on the couch, facing off with what appeared to be a very angry and determined nymph. Skye could feel the rage pouring off of Willow and as they noticed him enter, Willow turned and redirected his glare, his hands on his hips and a set to his jaw that made Skye approach with caution.

"Everything okay?"

"No." Willow stated emphatically.

Garrett groaned and looked at Skye with pleading in his eyes. Help?

"Would someone like to tell me? Something... a little bit of a hint?" Skye asked.

"HE," Willow began, the scorn practically dripping from his lips, "said, I can't go with you."

"Why would you want to?" As soon as the words left his mouth Skye knew he had made a mistake. The look Willow gave him made him step back.

"You too? You're supposed to be the smart one!"

"Forgive me Willow, I'm obviously missing something important. Can you explain?"

"You need me with you."

Skye waited, unsure of what to say that wouldn't send Willow over the edge.

"You are going into a remote, uncivilized, and unfamiliar part of the Reserve. Neither of you have the first notion of how to handle yourselves in the wilderness nor are you treating it like you should. It is not a Holiday!"

"We're taking guards..."

"Idiots! Both of you! Guards can't protect you from nature."

"What? You can? Willow you're..." Skye stopped before he said it. He was going to say 'you're just a boy' but then it hit him, by nymph standards Willow was an adult. He'd personally managed to save Feired, Jos, and Kwill - keeping them from the slavers. And he'd managed to get help from the fairies. Skye noticed the glare Willow was giving him as he waited for Skye to finish. "You're probably right."

Willow gave a nod and the briefest smug smile of satisfaction. He turned to Garrett and stuck out his tongue.

"Thanks Skye, that helped me a whole lot. Way to stand up for your mate," Garrett admonished.

"Did you hear him out? Willow did you explain to Garrett 'how' you think you may be able to help us or keep us safer than we would be without you?"

"Maybe..."

"Little liar. You did not! You just said I was stupid and should know," Garrett fumed.

"Boys," Skye said crossing his arms and giving his own glare. "Willow, sit down. Okay, now explain to both of us how you think you could be useful." Skye was torn between being amused and being concerned. Garrett and Willow were both being unusually difficult. As Willow began, Skye opened himself up to try and see what was happening behind the words.

"So... as a magical creature of nature, I have an innate sense and understanding of trees, plants, and animals. I can usually identify any dangerous or poisonous vegetation and tell you what they'd do to you. Likewise I can tell you what is safe to eat. I can find clean water and tell almost immediately if there is a taint or something wrong. I can communicate and understand simple messages from forest creatures. I can use my talents to hide or conceal myself and others."

"Thank you Willow. Was there a particular reason you thought it was important to go with us on this trip?"

"No. It's just the more I thought about where you were going, and why you were going, the more I knew I had to be there."

"Are you okay with that Garrett?"

"Yeah, I guess."

"Now before anything else - you two," Skye said giving them both a pointed look, "need to just get on with it. You are both so horny you can barely think straight and while you're pissed at each other enough that you want to deny it, it's true. We've still got time so I'll change and meet you two at the tube when you're done."

"You don't want to..." Garrett looked at Skye like he'd lost his mind.

"No, I don't. And given how rarely that happens I'm just going to enjoy the moment and let you guys bang each other's brains out."

"You do realize when the need comes back, it's going to do so with a vengeance," Garrett cautioned.

"Figures, but I'll deal with it then."

  • Scene 4 *

Finally. Skye thought as he listened to the engines rumble on take-off. They'd managed to get everyone to the shuttle and boarded with their gear and no major incidents. That included the medic pilot and co-pilot, Garrett, Skye, five guards, and one nymph who was very pleased with himself. Willow was seated between Mica and Fisk - flirting shamelessly with both of them. Oh well, at least it will keep his mind off flying...

Skye thought it was amusing that they ended up entertaining themselves and filling the time by singing and storytelling. It was Corbin's idea and each of them had to pick a song or a story from their memories and share it with the others. It ended up being a quite rowdy and enthusiastic ride when a number of songs got others to join in and some of the stories were - well, unbelievable. Skye also learned that without exception every one of his men could sing. Though Corbin's real gift was storytelling. He regaled them with self-deprecating humor of his change.

Corbin's birth father was very conservative and struggled adapting to Draga's culture. He didn't believe that dragons 'needed' to fornicate and forbade Corbin from engaging in any such activity until he was properly bonded. Corbin said he became extremely creative and an expert at quick, down and dirty public sex. He had all the guys roaring in laughter at his many escapades, close calls and desperate plots to satisfy his needs. He said the only blessing was that he was an only child. Skye couldn't help but empathize and being in the midst of his own change could understand all too clearly how driven Corbin must have been. What is it they say? Necessity is the mother of invention.

Skye found himself appreciating and liking Corbin even more after his stories. He also thought he had a beautiful voice. The only one of the guys they had to stop from singing before he was done was Willow. His voice was beautiful and captivating and unbeknownst to them, when he started, was a way for Nymphs to seduce their prey. Didn't take long for all the guys to catch on to that little ploy! Even so Skye wasn't sure if the scenario weren't just a little different that the outcome would have been very 'memorable'.

Of course Willow swore solemnly that he didn't know it would affect them 'that' way but since he had made the blunder he was more than willing to set things right.

Skye leaned over to Garrett. "Okay maybe I was too quick to say yes."

Garrett laughed. "Certainly will make for an interesting few days. If he weren't so damned cute and innocent about it I could get worked up into a good lecture. But look at him..."

Garrett was right. Willow glowed at the attention from all the men, not literally of course. Though he might if they all carried through with their teasing and promises. There was no question watching him interact with the others that they were family, and all cared about each other. Now I'm just going to have to make sure I don't mess it up with the new people we're bringing in.

Hey, quit worrying, Garrett mentally chided.

Our mark makes a difference. Definitely more heat with Mica and Fisk.

Yeah, I can feel it too. You'll want to claim the other three before the new guys start. They've been with you a while - I think we owe them that.

Wish I could say you were wrong but I came to the same conclusion. Skye snuggled into Garrett as best he could while harnessed into his seat.

By the time they were landing Skye was convinced that television and movies had truly done a disservice to his concept of futuristic travel. Real life wasn't nearly as fun or as quick and to be honest, it was just boring.

When they exited the shuttle, Skye had to compliment the pilot because the clearing was barely large enough to accommodate the craft. Skye pulled on his pack and made sure everything was fastened and in place. They hadn't gone for armor, but were wearing what Garrett called 'boilersuits'. Skye would have described them as heavy, durable jumpsuits or coveralls. Certainly nothing that would be winning awards for style.

Quit complaining. You're not here to recruit new boyfriends so it doesn't matter.

Skye scowled. You're the one who's always primping and checking your reflection...

I heard that, Garrett mind voice sounded as he moved along the path.

It wasn't much of a path, just a narrow way where the scrub had been tromped down or pushed aside. The forest was old growth but near the clearing where they landed, enough light filtered through to support a good bit of undergrowth. They walked a good ten minutes before Skye saw the first evidence of the encampment. The bright white of the portable buildings stood out against the rich greens of the forest. There were several of the domes connected by tunnels and then an additional unit off to the side.

"Everyone give Corbin and me your gear. We'll see if we can store it in the bunk house until we figure out what we need to do for sleeping accommodations," Micah called out. He and Corbin hefted the backpacks and duffels and took them to the building off to the side.

"Commander D'Or Drakken!" a man called out as he approached.

"Baker? Is that you?" Garrett grabbed the man in a hug, carefully avoiding the large weapon in the guy's arms.

"Damn it's good to see you again."

"What did you do wrong to end up in this pit?" Garrett asked with a heavy slap on Baker's back.

"Go where they tell ya... Damn Garrett, you expecting trouble? What's with the reinforcements?"

"First, let me introduce someone. Carvi Baker, this is my bond-mate Skye. Skye this is Baker. We started in the Academy together though Baker here decided to keep his feet on the ground."

"It's a pleasure to meet you sir," Skye said holding out a hand.

Baker pulled him into a hug, ignoring the proffered hand. "Damn Gar, he's a pretty one. Guessing your daddy must have grabbed this one and hog-tied him before he had a chance to run."

"Hey! I object. I'll have you know Skye met me right away."

"So you didn't tie him up?"

"He did," Skye offered helpfully.

"Thought so. Sorry you couldn't get away. I know how he can be..."

"Thanks, we all have our burdens," Skye admitted.

"And all the guards?" Baker asked. "Hope you brought your own weapons. I don't have that many spare..."

"We did, armor too. It's secured in the shuttle. Father won't let Skye take a piss without guards. So coming up here into the terrible 'wilds', he insisted," Garrett said with a laugh.

"Guess he must really like you Skye. I've never seen Garrett with guards before."

"Don't start," Garrett warned.

Skye looked between them and realized with what he could pick up there were many stories, perhaps many interesting stories to be told.

"Probably good you brought them. We've had some problems - not outright attacks but vandalism and theft."

"You mind if a couple of our guys help with patrol and surveillance? Figure you could use some support and even Skye doesn't need all of them watching him breathe."

"Don't know Garrett, from the way they look at him, I'm thinking they might like watching him. Whoa... who's that?"

"Baker, this is Willow. Guess you could say he's my ward," Skye answered.

"Dude forgive me for being crass but what the hell are you? Damn!"

"I'm a nymph. Prince Skye's nymph," Willow answered pointedly wrapping his arm around Skye's waist.

"You may want to dampen it down a bit Willow, we don't want to distract the whole camp," Skye whispered.

"Well fuck me sideways. I heard there was such a thing - but damn sure never expected to see one. D'Or Drakken you certainly keep things interesting," Baker said as he led them back to the units.

"You seen my brother?" Garrett asked.

"He's in checking supplies. Garrett... we need to talk..."

"We will..."

Skye couldn't help but pick up on the flood of thoughts and emotions that came with those simple words. It was also clear that Baker didn't like Zo.

They entered the first unit and found a number of people busy cleaning up, stocking and wiping down equipment.

One of the medics looked up, "Kepper just radioed in. They're bringing in probably fifteen to twenty more injured."

"I'll go rally the others," Baker said as he headed back outside.

"What can we do to help?" Garrett asked.

"Any of you have training?"

"I'm trained as a field medic. My mate has basic first aid but he's also a telepath," Garrett said.

The man was clearly surprised. "Well, we can use all the help we can get. We need to get the trays all stocked and all these cots stripped and put on new linens."

"I can handle that," Skye said to Garrett. Why'd you tell him I was a telepath?

It may help and I'd hate to find out afterward that it could have made a difference.

Good point. Is it safe for Willow to be outside?

Have him stick with whoever's taking first watch.

"Willow, do you mind hanging with the guards? Garrett and I will try to help here if we can."

"I can do that. Is it okay if I seduce them?" Willow asked giving a rather evil smile.

"Not while they're on duty."

Willow just snickered in response as he exited the unit to find the guards.

"Good thing that transport showed up when it did," a new voice said entering the unit behind a pile of shipping cartons.

Garrett went to help with the cartons. "Hey bro."

"Garrett?" Zo said in surprise. "What are you doing here? Don't tell me... Father sent you." He turned and spotted Skye. "And you brought 'him'."

"Can't a guy come to check up on his little brother... and lend a helping hand," Garrett said as he took some of the cartons and immediately began opening and sorting the contents.

Skye was a little taken aback with Zo's tone. The look wasn't exactly pleasant as Zo recognized him behind the armful of bloodied linens. Skye gave a nod and continued on with his work. He stripped the remaining cots, wiped down the pads and then began prepping them for the next patients. Guess I should go greet him... can't avoid it forever, Skye thought.

Then all hell seemed to break loose as men started carrying in bodies. Zo and the other medics were triaging and directing at the door as Garrett, Skye, and the other helpers scrambled to get everyone settled. There wasn't time for conversation, just simple orders and shouted instructions.

Skye saw a familiar face carrying in a body and acknowledged Kepper with a nod as he helped get the patient in the bed and started stripping the bloody rags.

"Hey stranger, never thought I'd see you here," Kepper said as he helped strip the patient and started sponging away some of the blood.

"Never got to say thank you. You want me to take over sponging him clean?"

"Yeah, I'll bring in another. Thanks."

Over the next several hours, he and Kepper worked side by side at times but barely spoke. Words were limited to requests and instructions. Skye did whatever any of the staff asked him, he even found himself picking up the requests before they voiced them. It only happened a few times before they made him scrub and help with some of the more complex procedures.

It made Skye a little nervous and a few times he thought he might lose his lunch but he made it through and felt good about helping. His ability to read minds and respond quickly made him very popular with the medics. A couple of times he even used Kwill's lessons when there just wasn't room for everyone's hands and things were going badly.

When the worst had been dealt with and there was no impending crisis, Skye sat down against the wall and accepted a water from one of the staff.

"You'd make a damn fine medic kid," the man said.

"Thanks but I think my path has already been decided for me," Skye said lifting the water in a gesture of thanks. He sat for a while watching the others clean up or take their own breaks. He got to his feet and decided to make a round of the patients to see if there was anything else he could do.

Most were resting quietly and then he noticed a bright red spot on the linens of one of the patients. He pulled back the sheet and for a moment was distracted by the incredibly detailed tattoo. The patient had wings in bright colors covering most of his back - almost like a butterfly. Then he saw where the man was bleeding through his dressing. Skye closed his eyes and used his other sight - reaching out and searching the wound.

"Kepper!" Skye called.

"Yeah, what is it?" the faun asked as he came up beside Skye. "Shit, why's he still bleeding?"

"There's a tear that was missed. Can I show you?" Skye asked.

"What? You're going to open him back up?" Kepper asked in disbelief.

"I think you'll have to but I can show you... here, take my hand and close your eyes." Skye took Kepper's hand and held it over the wound. He gently entered Kepper's mind and shared what he could see, he examined the tear and showed how it was hidden and difficult to find. "I can hold it closed for a while, but it will need to be repaired."

Kepper looked into Skye's eyes in shock. He nodded then shouted directions to the others to bring what he needed. Twenty minutes later, the repairs were made and the patient was sporting a new dressing. "Thanks Your Majesty. I think you may have saved him. If you hadn't noticed he'd have bled out."

"Glad I could help. His tattoo is breathtaking. Other than dragon bond- mates, I haven't seen anyone with body art," Skye said pulling the sheet back up and tucking it in.

"Oh, that's not a tattoo. He's a fairy. When they're in their large form their wings meld into their back."

"Fairy? What?" Skye blurted. Then the memory hit him - Pater's recount of having seen a fairy grow to life-size in front of him.

Kepper tipped his head seeing Skye's confusion. "I forget, you city folk don't see many fairies. Yeah, they have a 'human-sized' form as well. Good for us and him he was big when he got hurt. Almost impossible to for us to treat them when they're little."

"So they're shifters?" Skye asked.

"No or at least we don't think of them that way. They have the ability to change their size but other than the wings, they look the same. Hey, you mind walking with me? I want to check on the others and then maybe we can talk a bit."

"Sure," Skye said but was preoccupied by the memory of Teak and how attractive he was as a 'Ken' doll sized miniature. Realizing that he would look as good full-sized was making Skye very warm.

They entered one of the other units where a number of patients were recovering. Kepper started moving from one to another, checking them.

"Thank you again for your help and all you did for me. I'm real sorry about your friend Zed," Skye said as he moved to one of the patients who caught his attention.

"I'm glad I could help. Really sucks about Zed, but there wasn't anything you or I could have done about it. Honestly we're lucky more people weren't killed. You got us rescued and your folks saved many of my friends that day. I should be thanking you."

Skye looked at Kepper and couldn't help but think again how attractive he was. Yeah, the hooves were a bit weird but the rest of the package was fine. All cleaned up Skye couldn't help but wonder what it would be like. Sadly though, his magic and his dragon were oblivious - not even a tickle. Skye turned back to the bed and looked at the young man - he was laying on his stomach, his curly brown hair like a halo around his head. Two little horns just barely peeking through the curls.

"So what really brought you out here? I don't think it was to deliver a thank you."

"That was a side-benefit. We came to find Garrett's brother," Skye said absently as he pulled the sheet back and noticed the young faun's injuries. "Kepper what happened to him?"

Skye felt a spike of anger and then humiliation and submission. But Kepper said nothing. Skye left himself open to see what he could pick up. Kepper wasn't shielding but he was actively trying not to think about what had happened.

Skye looked at the raw skin and abrasions on both wrists, the lacerations across the young boy's back, some of them deep enough to need stitches. "Kepper, his injuries look more like he was beat up."

"Yeah. We've done what we can. He's got internal injuries as well. Sadly he'll have a good bit of scarring. We have pretty rudimentary medicine out here - nothing like what you're used to."

"What happened?" Skye asked. He'd already picked up the basics but knew he would get more as Kepper figured out how to answer.

Kepper averted his gaze. "Nothing to concern you."

"Kepper," Skye pushed with his mind. "Tell me."

Kepper averted his eyes from Skye and began slowly - speaking softly enough that Skye had to concentrate to hear. "He had a crush on Prince Zo. Constantly flirting with him. He made no attempt to hide his interest and then one night the Prince took him up on his offer. We found him the next morning, still tied to the tree in a puddle of his own blood. We warned him repeatedly, told him to stay away - guess he got what he deserved."

"No one deserves this Kepper." Skye was already angry but seeing the results of Zo's actions up close and personal made it all too real. He reached out with his other sight, checking over the young faun. Garrett! Skye mentally yelled.

Garrett burst into the room and immediately came to Skye's side. What Skye? What is it?

Skye pointed to the injured faun. "Your brother did this."

"Father Dragon, no..." Garrett turned to Skye and pulled him into a hug. Can he be transported?

Skye picked up where Garrett was going and turned to Kepper. "Is he well enough to survive a transport to the City?"

"He doesn't have any life-threatening injuries. He would be fine. Why?" Kepper asked.

"Why don't you and Kepper catch up? I'll take care of this," Garrett assured Skye. "Kepper, does he have any family who can stay with him?"

"Not that we know of," Kepper said looking between Skye and Garrett.

"I promise, the Emperor's medics will take very good care of him," Garrett said.

Skye stayed with Kepper as he checked the few remaining patients. By the time they headed outside, Skye could hear the rumble of the transport's engines in the distance.

"You hungry?" Kepper asked. "It's not much, just camp rations but it does the trick."

"Sure," Skye answered queueing up with Kepper. The team had a table set up outside near a large campfire where they were handing out the tins.

"After a day like today, even these start tasting good," Kepper said as he took a seat on one of the logs pulled up in a circle around the fire. The light was already fading and the forest sounds had changed as well.

"So most of these people were hurt during the flooding?" Skye asked.

"Yeah. We're still searching for more but I think we're close to the end. The rains finally stopped. This last bunch were trying to shore up one of the dams when it broke. We don't have a lot of space so as soon as they're well enough we try and send them back to their camps or nearby villages."

"Can I join you?" Garrett asked sitting down beside Skye.

"I take it you sent Jojo back on the shuttle?" Kepper asked looking up from his food.

"Yeah. They'll be waiting for him and get right to work. Skye, I didn't speak with Father, but I got through to Pater and he said he'll take care of it personally."

"Jojo isn't just going to disappear is he?" Kepper asked skeptically.

"No. He'll be very well cared for I promise. I never got the chance to thank you for saving my mate. I'm in your debt Kepper."

"I gotta say Prince Skye was the highlight of my incarceration," Kepper laughed.

"Yeah, he does have that effect on men. Especially good looking ones," Garrett teased.

Even in the firelight Skye could see Kepper's blush.

"I told Garrett that even in my drugged stupor I was quite determined to get in your pants," Skye added. While a little embarrassed at the memory Skye didn't want Kepper to think he kept secrets or that he regretted what he'd done.

Kepper choked a bit on his food at that. "You told him?"

"We're bonded and we usually know what the other is thinking without words. It seems our connection is even stronger than most couples so we can't really have secrets," Skye explained.

"While Skye was blocked from sensing me, I was still connected and getting everything he experienced. So I have to say that now having met you, I can understand why he was so determined to get you undressed," Garrett said with a wink and a big smile.

Kepper gave an embarrassed chuckle. "I'm very flattered and have to confess that at the time I was pretty up for the idea myself."

"But not now, huh?" Garrett asked.

"A bonded Royal Prince? I value my life a little more than that."

"Guess you haven't had much experience with dragons have you?" Skye asked.

"Not good experiences no..." Kepper said looking into the fire.

Skye picked up on Kepper's stream of thoughts and shared them with Garrett. None of them made him feel better. Even though they were just snippets, memories over the last several days, it painted a very unpleasant picture of Zo.

"Sorry about that. We'll make it right," Garrett promised.

"I wish I could say we were all shocked. He's a good medic, but the way he treated the others, especially the non-dragons... We tried to stay out of his way, we warned Jojo, but he was so in awe - a Royal Prince, a dragon. I hate to think what he'd be feeling now. Maybe it's a blessing he hasn't woken up since it happened."

"Were there others?" Skye asked.

"Others? You mean this isn't the first time? No, or at least not that we know of," Kepper said. "Does he know you moved Jojo?"

"Likely. I made no secret of it. He's probably avoiding us," Garrett mumbled.

"But you came all this way to see him?"

"Yeah, and found that young faun in short order."

"Garrett, we can't let this continue. Something has to be done," Skye said leaning back into Garrett's arms.

"I agree, I'm just not sure what to do. I think he's gotten worse, not better. Fixing him was 'your' mission, do you have any ideas yet?" Garrett asked.

Bastard. You're in this with me, and no I have no clue.

"I love you," Garrett said kissing the top of Skye's head.

Skye felt a sudden chill and it seemed like the hair on the back of his neck stood up. He felt his heart racing and had the urge to hide. Then for the briefest instant it turned to incredible heat and lust. Then just as quickly it was gone - so quickly Skye wondered if he imagined the whole thing.

"Skye? Are you okay?" Garrett asked.

"Did you feel that?"

"Yeah... just briefly. Like a flash of terror and then it was gone," Garett admitted sheepishly.

"I've felt that before..." Skye said quietly as he reached out with his mind. He let himself extend as far as he dared before coming back and pulling Garrett's arms around him.

"What was it? Did you find anything?" Garrett asked.

"No it's gone." It couldn't be... we're in the middle of nowhere... how could he even find me out here and why would he?

"Can I join you?" Willow asked stepping into the circle of firelight.

"Sure. What have you been up to?" Garrett asked.

Willow wrapped a blanket around Garrett's shoulders, then snuggled into Skye, pulling Garrett's arms and the blanket around all three of them. "Resting with the guys."

"And did 'they' get any rest?" Garrett asked.

"Yes. They were no fun at all."

Several others came and sat with them around the fire, a few began singing - some of the same songs Skye had heard from his men on the trip there.

Skye let out a little gasp as he felt a hand slide into his coveralls and start stroking his cock.

What is it love, are you okay? Garrett asked. You're a bundle of nerves tonight.

That's not you?

What's not me... oh... is someone giving my dragonling a little love?

We're surrounded by people! We're in public!

Skye felt his coveralls being opened, he could feel the air and a gentle touch on his manhood, then he felt Willow's smooth warm skin sliding up against him. Skye bit his lip as he felt the warm wet tightness of Willow's ass swallow him.

Oh God! Garrett, he just mounted me!

Lucky you. I'd suggest you keep your moaning to a minimum or you'll start an orgy.

That's not funny! Oh my God! Skye sent as he bit his lips and tried to control his breathing.

Skye pushed back into Garrett. He had no choice but to close his eyes. He could feel Garrett getting harder and pressing against his own ass as Willow skillfully slid up and down on him. Willow felt incredible and Skye hadn't gotten off since late the previous night.

Willow... what are you doing? People are going to notice... not that you aren't amazing but this is... ohhhhhh fuck.

Willow leaned back and tilted his head enough to kiss under Skye's chin. Not to worry, I can distract them and keep them from noticing. You just enjoy. I've missed having your cock inside me. And the boys wouldn't play. Just try not to make any sudden moves or noises and I promise they'll never know...

Skye opened himself to Garrett and made sure he was getting every bit of the experience. Skye was already close to the edge when Garrett pulled both of them tighter against his body. That was all it took and Skye felt his release pounding and erupting inside Willow. He bit his lip so hard he was sure he'd draw blood - but he managed to keep from screaming or moaning... too loudly.

Willow turned his body around without releasing Skye's cock and kissed him soundly - driving his tongue into Skye's mouth as he squeezed the last dribbles out with his ass. He then leaned past Skye and gave an equally impassioned kiss to Garrett.

"How do you do it D'Or Drakken? Not bad enough you have to flaunt your bond-mate, but a damn nymph as well?" Baker asked from the other side of the campfire.

"Not flaunting and besides Willow isn't mine. If he belongs to anyone, it's Skye."

"That's a lie and you know it Garrett. You are mine just as much as Skye. Guess I've not made it clear enough," Willow challenged.

"Like I said," Baker said shaking his head. "Some of us spend our nights dreaming of maybe, just maybe getting a bond-mate someday. Then you get the 'bloody prince', the star of dragonlings' wet dreams across the universe and a male nymph. Father Dragon, if he's half as good as his body looks... it's just not fair!"

"I assure you I am way better than I look! And certainly better than any of those bitchy good-for-nothing female nymphs!" Willow challenged.

"Well then... Garrett you agree with the boy?" Baker asked.

"Yeah, actually he's not exaggerating and I wouldn't call him a boy. In 'that' department, he's all man."

Willow smiled and pushed the blanket aside revealing a perfectly clothed nymph and two dragons before he crawled up Skye to give Garrett a deep soul-sucking kiss. "You deserve a reward."

"What?" Garrett whispered.

"Garrett, I need to pee, could you come with me and protect me?" Willow asked coyly.

"I think I'm the one who needs protecting," Garrett muttered. "Excuse us please."

Skye wrapped the blanket around himself enjoying the post-orgasmic buzz and watched the fire. He loved campfires and watching the embers, and the way the fire danced along the wood. He kept himself open to Garrett and couldn't help but smile as he picked up on the dialog.

"Better now?" Garrett asked.

"Oh much. Can I clean that up for you?" Willow asked.

"Pardon?" Garrett got out before Skye could feel Willow's talented lips wrap themselves around Garrett's cock.

Skye caught movement and his attention was drawn away from Garrett and Willow and back to his immediate surroundings. He saw one of the other soldiers approach Baker and whisper into his ear. A minute later Baker was moving over to sit beside Skye.

"Something wrong?"

"Maybe. Zo is gone and so is one of the portable medic kits," Baker said.

"He make a habit of sneaking off in the night like this?" Skye asked.

"More often than we'd like. We try to keep tabs on him but he actively tries to ditch us."

  • Scene 5 *

Skye knelt down and put the glasses to his eyes. The forest was unbelievably dark and he didn't have the benefit of Jos or Mica's helmets' night vision. In hindsight perhaps he should have brought armor as well.

"Do you see them?" Skye whispered.

"Yes sir. The two with weapons and the one who appears injured. Prince Zo doesn't appear to feel threatened or in danger," Jos responded.

At least Skye had the earpiece even if he didn't have all the benefits of the helmet. With Mica and Willow he could mind-speak pretty easily, but with Jos it was not nearly as clear or reliable.

Willow, can you see anything else? Skye sent. Willow had moved up much closer but neither Skye nor the guards could see him. Even with the helmets' night vision, Willow seemed to disappear into the night. Skye was more and more impressed with his skills as the night went on.

I can see the goblins clearly. I think there's more going on that what Zo sees. The two keep giving looks and hand signals to each other that he's not catching.

Stay hidden. Don't put yourself in any danger. You hear me?

Yes Skye. They don't know I'm here.

Skye waited impatiently. They'd had no trouble finding Zo. All the Imperial Guards had built in trackers for the royal family. The only challenge was keeping enough distance that neither he nor the goblins would sense their presence. It had taken some quick talking to convince Garrett to stay behind. Skye wanted someone left at camp with whom he could mind-speak and while Fisk was there as well, Garrett knew the other soldiers and if for some reason Zo had come back, Garrett could deal with it.

Zo appeared to be examining the unconscious goblin and from the gestures seemed to come to some agreement with the other two. They picked up their belongings and headed North, while Zo secured the medic kit, turned off the lanterns and packed his gear. He was just about to pick up the sick goblin when Skye got the message from Willow.

The other two have quickly moved North. I followed them for a while - they've made no turns or even looked back. They're out of range to hear or see anything where you are. I'm headed back to you now.

"Okay guys, cautiously let Zo know you're here," Skye whispered.

The three of them quietly stepped into the small clearing. Zo startled and jumped to his feet.

"It's just us Prince Zopyros," Skye said in a clear, calm voice.

"What are you doing here?" "You left camp without telling anyone. We were sent to make sure you weren't hurt or captured," Skye answered.

"What, big brother's breeder is now my keeper too? I'm doing my job. I'm out here to save lives - that's what I do."

"Your Majesty would be wise to advise others of his actions. That way they do not put themselves at risk needlessly," Mica admonished.

Skye could pick up that Mica was more than a little miffed at the derogatory term Zo had used for him. Even on Draga there were somethings that were just downright impolite and while it hurt, Skye knew he had much bigger issues to deal with. He was both surprised and proud of Mica's response. Mica had served the Emperor personally and he delivered the correction clearly and with authority. Not a challenge, just a simple statement of fact.

"Yeah, well I do things my way. I need to get this guy back to the camp. He's got some pretty serious injuries and I need the equipment and medicines there," Zo said as he began to lift the wounded goblin.

"Please wait," Skye said approaching.

"What? You're a medic now too? I know what I'm doing. He needs to get back quickly."

"Allow Prince Skye a moment," Jos said with clear authority as he stepped up to Zo.

"Are you challenging me?" Zo asked in disbelief. "I'm a prince of the Empire soldier. I'll have you charged and disgraced in a heartbeat."

"No Your Majesty I am not challenging you; however, if you interfere with Prince Skye, I will."

"You have no right!"

"I have every right Your Majesty, we have direct orders from His Majesty the Emperor. He was very clear that Prince Skye's orders take precedent over anyone but the Emperor's own or Prince Argos."

"You're kidding! This is preposterous! He's just a damn breeder. I'm a Prince!"

"We will share your concerns with the Emperor and Prince Argos as I'm sure you will as well; however, until that time stand down," Mica said sternly turning his weapon on Zo.

Prince Zopyros was speechless as he realized both guards had their weapons aimed at him.

Skye knelt by the goblin and removed his gloves. He closed his eyes and let his other sight take over. He began at the top of the goblin's head and worked his way down to his feet. From what Willow had seen, Skye was already suspicious. Now he was more so.

"Jos, Mica... have either of you ever dealt with bombs?"

"I have Your Majesty," Jos answered.

"Mica, please keep Prince Zo back. Jos, please come here and kneel beside me. Remove your gauntlet."

Skye took Jos's hand and looked into his eyes, barely illuminated by the helmet lights. "I'm going to share what I sense with my magic. Don't speak, that might break the connection. If you have a question or need me to move my attention, just think it."

Jos nodded and closed his eyes.

Skye began showing him what he'd found. Jos had him trace some of the odd connections and move around some of the obstructions before sending the thought that he was done.

"Holy shit Skye..." Jos stammered.

"It's a bomb, right?"

"How'd you know?"

"It didn't belong and while it's bio tech, it didn't feel 'like him'."

"Yeah, there's enough explosives packed inside him to take out the whole camp. Normal scanners wouldn't have found it. That's serious shit sir."

"Can you tell how long we have?"

"Best guess is that it's tied into his heart. When he dies, it goes off. But given the strain he's under we can't have much time. I'm amazed he's still alive."

"What are you two talking about?" Zo asked. "The man's got serious internal injuries."

"Yes, he does. Somewhat self-inflicted or inflicted on him. He can't be saved, but if you try to take him back you can pretty much guarantee everyone within one hundred yards will be dead too," Skye answered.

"That can't be!" Zo said. "We need to get him back now!"

"Willow, is there any type of cave or formation nearby where we could minimize the damage from an explosion?"

Willow stood for a moment, turned in a circle and pointed to the West. "About fifty yards to the West, there is a deep ravine and a stream. If you got him down in it would channel the blast along the ravine."

"Jos, help guide me. Mica, keep Zo from interfering. Willow stay here," Skye said.

"Sir let me take him. I at least have armor," Jos argued.

"Don't argue Jos, just move. I can carry him easily and get him into the ravine."

"Yes sir."

A few minutes later Skye and Jos returned. Willow directed Skye and the others to some fallen trees where they could get some protection.

"You've totally lost your mind!" Zo accused.

"Shut up Zo. You were going to get us all killed, including my mate. I don't really want to hear any more from you. Mica, would you mind holding me while I do this."

"Absolutely Skye, how can I help," Mica asked.

"Take off the gauntlets and let me sit with you holding your hands. Just open your mind and don't hesitate to steer me if I need it."

Mica nodded and opened his mind to Skye. Together they reached out to the injured goblin. Skye had to draw on Mica's strength. This was much easier when he could be close but that had some serious disadvantages. He let his power reach into the goblin - found where the strange connections were made and gave a tug.

The explosion was deafening and lit the night sky. After the flash the forest was deathly quiet for several minutes. Skye felt strange and sort of stunned. He could feel Mica's arms wrapped tightly around him. It took a few minutes until he could form words.

"Everyone okay?" Skye asked.

"A little woozy but okay." Mica pulled off his helmet, then turned Skye into him, kissing him soundly and holding him. "Please don't ever scare me like that again. At least warn me next time."

"Sorry I think we got a little blowback from the magic," Skye said apologetically. He then reached out and reassured Garrett that all was good and everyone was fine. He'd barely pulled away when he felt Fisk's panic and connected with him as well. "Guess you weren't the only one I scared."

Mica kissed him again. "I love you," he whispered.

Skye returned the kiss. "I love you too. Thank you for helping. I couldn't have done that without you."

"Can I say that was bloody amazing?" Jos said putting a hand on Skye's shoulder.

"What the hell did you do?" Zo asked still looking stunned.

"We detonated the device. The one you wanted to take back to the middle of camp." Skye couldn't help but glare. He wasn't sure what he could do about Zo but compassion was waning quickly.

  • Scene 6 *

"So what, you're going to tie me up and drag me back?" Zo asked, continuing to glare at both Garrett and Skye.

They ended up locking themselves in the storage area of one of the units. It was about the only place indoors with any privacy and they really didn't want the rest of the team to hear.

"That's up to you," Garrett answered, unable to hide the anger in his voice. Skye wasn't going to share but both Mica and Jos had pulled Garrett aside when the returned to recount Zo's behavior.

"So what were Father's orders? I'm sure he didn't leave it up for interpretation," Zo challenged.

Skye thought his head might explode soon. It also seemed like such a waste. Zo was an extremely handsome man. Almost as big and muscled as Garrett, with light golden skin, a beautiful mane of blond hair and bright blue eyes. Skye couldn't even blame it on stupidity. The guy was a doctor and obviously intelligent - he just kept making really dumb choices and that darkness he'd noted when he first met him was still there. It wasn't as obvious now, but it was still present - buried deep and festering. Skye didn't know if it was magic, the vestiges of the poison or something else remaining from Siriana - but it sure wasn't good.

Skye kept his mind open in case he could pick up anything useful. But so far it just made him more frustrated. Even after the 'almost' catastrophe of bringing a live bomb back to the center of camp, Zo just didn't get it. Oh he felt guilty - very guilty but he just didn't connect his trust of the goblins with the risk it brought.

"Father would like you to listen to reason. He's concerned that you are putting yourself and others at risk working out here. Especially when you won't allow the guards he has sent, to do their job."

"Babysitters more like. And you Skye, why are you here? I think I'd be the last person you'd want to see."

"You're family Zo. You are not responsible for Siriana or her father's actions. I'm certainly sorry you were taken in by their trickery but it cost you much more than me." There that came out well... almost sincere. Even if I now know you only consider me and River to be good for breeding. Not sure you deserve a bond-mate with those sick notions.

"Only because you have some wicked fighting skills."

Skye was seriously struggling with caring at the moment. He really wished Kwill would have just laid it out for him. Struggle or not, it had to be better than this torment. It was nice Zo felt responsible and guilty but it didn't seem to drive any action and he damn sure wasn't trying to fix anything. Loathing yourself and feeling you should be punished could 'almost' have been admirable if you didn't despise and look down on everyone else even more. Okay Garrett, you win. Let's go with plan B.

"Zo, can you at least help us understand?" Garrett asked.

"Yes Zo, please try to answer Garrett's questions, maybe that will give us some options," Skye added with a push of compulsion. He then sat back, keeping his mind open and let Garrett do the questioning. Skye was surprised that his dragon became alert not long after they began. Occasionally even prompting questions. By the time Garrett finished and Skye could think of no more prompts, he struggled with a raging headache and felt bone tired.

"Zo, would you at least consider coming back with us. The attempted bombing should make it clear they are using you to cause problems. Do you want that on your conscience?" Garrett asked in closing.

"I'll think about it."

"Garrett why don't you stay and get caught up with Zo, just some brother- to-brother talk. I'm going to go find a place and rest a bit."

What is it Skye? You're shielding me out - did you find something?

Yes but I need to think about it before I say more.

Garrett stood with Skye and pulled him in burying his face in Skye's neck. Skye you are the world to me. Don't do anything you don't want to or aren't completely comfortable doing. I'd rather lose Zo than hurt you. And honestly Skye, I'm not sure there's enough left of the good Zo to save.

Skye nuzzled back into Garrett. Thank you. That's exactly what I needed from you. Take care of him Gar, he's not well. I think it's very likely he'd try to kill himself given the chance and I don't think he cares who he takes out with him.

Skye made his way back to the campfire. Just a few people were still up and chatting. Jos and Corbin had fallen in step behind him as he left the unit. "Hey... Mica turn in?"

"Yeah we're doing staggered shifts. Corbin came on duty and in a few hours I'll hand off to Feired," Jos answered. Skye sat down and stared into the fire. He started absently picking up small sticks and tossing them in, watching how they caught fire and shriveled as they burned.

"Anything we can do for you sir?" Jos asked.

"Would one of you sit next to me and talk?"

Skye watched as Corbin and Jos had an unspoken meeting of the minds and Jos sat down beside him. Skye turned to look at Jos and smiled. The firelight made his face glow and his hair look a tad bit more red.

"Bad day?"

"Not one of my best but I'm really glad I had you and Mica with me... and Willow."

"He's full of surprises isn't he? Can't say I was conscious for all of what he did, but the way he got us to safety after the crash and looked after us... He's got some wicked skills."

Skye laughed. "And a wicked body. He was quite upset that none of you put out for him."

"Prince Skye, we can't. He's yours."

"No Jos, not mine. He belongs to himself, no one else. He's free to take up with anyone he wants. Well... except for Palace staff. Pater was very clear on that. I told him all my guys were fair game."

"You didn't!" Jos exclaimed his eyes going wide. "Well damn... no wonder. Makes a whole lot more sense now."

"Why, what did he do?"

"Oh he flirts with all of us, but I was feeling bad for Mica and Fisk. The boy's practically all over them. They've been trying so hard but they said it's like he's got some power over them. Fisk said he feels sort of like you, when he starts thinking about them they can feel it and their bodies start responding."

Skye couldn't help but laugh. "Yeah, yeah. That is the magic at work. I'll try to remember to tell them, but feel free to share. You'll feel the same once I share the magic with you, but it's not just Willow. You'll get the same sense from Garrett, Mica and anyone else who I've bonded. Don't try to fight it, you'll just drive yourself crazy. According to the priests it's unavoidable - but on the positive side the sex is almost as good as with a bond-mate."

"Shit! Well that explains it."

"What this time?"

It was Jos's turn to laugh. "Mica and Fisk. Whenever they think no one is looking they're like young lovers - all over each other. Kissing, groping like they just can't get enough."

"What you have to look forward to."

"Believe me sir, I'm ready whenever you are. I don't so much care if I get that for the others - but I already feel it for you," Jos confessed.

"Honestly, I'm looking forward to it. But today I'm just not into sex. Can't believe I just said that..."

"Oh... a lean day. We all got those with the change, 'course you know when the need comes back it's like a tidal wave. You'll be so horny you won't be able to think straight and you'll pretty much fuck anything that doesn't move faster than you."

"That did not help," Skye said.

"Better to know and be prepared. Not growing up dragon you don't have the advantage of always knowing what's coming. Damn, the things I did back then..."

"Guess you better stay close. You can be my first victim," Skye teased.

"Sir, forgive me for being bold. But you just give the word and I'll strip naked. You can fuck me right here, I don't care who sees. They can all watch. I lay awake nights just fantasizing about what it will be like."

"I'm sorry I've got so many hang-ups Jos. You deserve better. Maybe if I wasn't such a prude this wouldn't all be so difficult."

"I'm here for you sir."

"Can I ask you something? Have you ever had the people you love want you to do something that seemed totally against what you believed in? Like doing it would mean giving up part of yourself?"

"Sorry sir, but you know a bit about my past. And my answer is a qualified 'yes'. I couldn't be like my dad, my brothers and do business like they wanted. It just wasn't me. They were my blood family but I'm not sure they really loved or accepted 'me'. My solution was to run away and join the Imperial Guard."

"So you recommend running?"

"No sir. That's what I did. I didn't have anyone else and I couldn't see options. It's worked out for me, but you already have a family that truly loves you. We may not be blood but I know every one of us would gladly give up our lives for you. You have options and people who will carry you through no matter what." Jos paused and turned to look into Skye's eyes. "Sometimes sir, when the burden is too big for you to carry you ask others to help you. Maybe you're looking at it in the wrong way."

"Oh my God Jos! You're brilliant!" Skye said grabbing Jos and kissing him soundly. When their lips met, Skye's dragon came awake in a rush and the magic pounded through his veins. He felt the jolt rip through both of them as he knocked Jos backward off the log and onto the ground.

"Does this mean we're having sex NOW?" Jos asked with a big grin.

Skye looked around and opened his mind to scan the area. Unbelievably except for Corbin everyone else had gone to bed or at least moved out of sight. "Will Corbin object?" Skye whispered.

"Are you kidding? That means he's one step closer but you might find Feired spending all his time around you naked," Jos said with a smirk.

Skye kicked off his boots and began stripping. He couldn't believe he was doing this but he also knew he wanted Jos so badly he couldn't think straight. By the time he's stepped out of his coveralls. Jos was naked, had his own stuff spread on the ground as bedding and lay back waiting.

"Damn but you're beautiful," Skye said as he knelt down and spread his body on top of Jos. He put his lips to Jos's and lost himself. They kissed and tongue danced as their bodies ground together.

"Please sir, I need you to fuck me. We don't need foreplay... I'm beyond ready," Jos pleaded.

Skye knelt back and watched Jos lift his ass and hug his knees to his chest. Skye gently teased his tight little rose bud and felt it sucking at his fingers. He slid one inside and found Jos already wet and ready. He was making small moaning sounds as Skye touched his most intimate entrance.

Skye leaned into Jos and slowly pushed his way in. It took very little effort as Jos's body actively tried to pull him in, the nubs grabbing at his cock and pulling it deeper. Skye pressed his body tightly against Jos and coaxed him to release his knees so Skye could lean down and kiss Jos as they made love.

"Use your flutter Jos. I want you to capture all my cream. I want to know my seed is absorbed deep into every corner of your sexy body."

Jos moaned in response as Skye drove his tongue deep into Jos's mouth kissing and exploring as he began thrusting slow and deep. The flutter nudged its way inside giving Skye that subtle tingle deep into his core. Skye tried to get a sense of Jos's roadmap - what he really wanted and was somewhat surprised to find it was exactly what they were doing. Jos wanted Skye deep inside him and wrapped in his arms. He wanted to feel the heat of Skye's body and the power of his muscles holding him as they made love. He didn't want any mojo or metaphysical stimulation - he just wanted Skye. He wanted to belong and to know that Skye wanted him and found him attractive.

Skye pulled back from the kiss. "You are extremely handsome Jos. Maybe I resisted your hot, sexy body too long. To think I could have been feeling you like this... My dragon is purring in contentment - he thinks you are an absolute perfect fit.

Jos's eyes glowed and he pulled Skye back in for more kissing as his legs wrapped around him and pulled Skye in deeper. "Oh, Father Dragon... the real thing is so much better. I liked what you did for me before, but this... this is heaven."

"I'm getting close Jos..."

"Please don't hold back, I want you to mark me - I don't care where. I want you to shove you magic in me and bind me to you. I want to belong to you..."

Skye moved slightly enough so he could take Jos's swollen nipple in his mouth. He sucked and teased at it before getting more of the muscled pec in his mouth. Then he bit down and held on as Jos's body spasmed in pleasure, his cock shooting stream after stream of his hot dragon seed between their bodies. Skye let his own orgasm release and moved up to drive his tongue into Jos's mouth. He kissed with everything he had and then pushed his magic into Jos.

Jos's back arched and lifted them both off of the ground. He screamed into Skye's mouth before trying to swallow and suck Skye's tongue down his throat. His legs were still wrapped tightly around Skye's ass holding him inside as his flutter tried to find more seed to take in.

"Wow. Is it always like that?" Corbin asked.

"No, it's even better when Garrett and Skye take you at the same time. Not that Skye isn't pretty phenomenal on his own. But both of them... A nymphs dream," Willow responded.

Skye gave Jos another kiss and propped himself a little. Jos didn't appear to be embarrassed but Skye was feeling a little awkward realizing he had an audience.

"Don't stop my love. I don't think he's done," Garrett teased.

"Can I help?" Willow asked coming around the campfire and kneeling beside Skye.

"Willow, this is a bit... strange," Skye said still locked into place by Jos's strong legs.

"But he's covered in cream, I could help you lick it up and look how hard he is. That beautiful golden cock needs more love," Willow argued.

Garrett?

I think he's right. Jos might be glowing brighter than the campfire but he's not sated, nor are you. Sorry after my talk with Zo, I'm just not in the spirit. You enjoy and I'll distract Corbin. Poor boy is about to come out of his skin he's so horny.

Jos released Skye enough he could sit up and then Skye turned and kissed Willow. "Does he seem different to you?"

"Oh yes, Willow said eyes wide as he looked at Jos and licked his lips. Positively delicious, he feels like Mica and Fisk, but I think I can get this one to play."

Willow and Skye licked Jos's spilled seed then Willow thoroughly rimmed him and cleaned his cock and balls while Skye continued to kiss and caress the red-gold dragon.

"He's ready Skye," Willow said as he put a foot to either side of Jos's body then knelt down sitting on Jos's stomach.

"Father Dragon but you are both so beautiful," Jos whispered.

Skye spread Jos's legs and tipped him up enough to gain entry while Willow slowly lowered himself onto Jos's hard member.

Willow leaned forward and kissed Jos before sitting back up and pressing his back against Skye. "You're my dragon now Jos. No more of this avoiding me or telling me it wouldn't be right. This pretty golden cock of yours belongs inside me whenever I want. Understand?"

Skye held back the chuckle. Willow is so adorable, I wonder if he realizes that Jos is so sex drunk he'd agree to anything right now. Besides who can say no to a nymph mounted on your cock.

"Yes Willow, I'm yours."

"Good, those other silly dragons don't know what they're missing do they?"

"Oh... Father Dragon... no they don't," Jos moaned.

Skye ran his hands over Willow's voluptuous body, feeling the full ripe pecs and his hard nipples before sliding down and beginning to stroke Willow's manhood. "Be gentle with him Willow..."

"Oh I will, I just want him to know that when you're not around I'm not to be ignored."

"He's close Willow." Garrett, you think I could at least nudge your magic even if you don't want in on the other fun?

Garrett came and knelt behind Skye wrapping his arms around Skye and Willow. "I am the luckiest dragon in the universe."

"No, that would be me... right... now!" Jos panted. "Holy fuck! I never knew it could be like this!"

Ready? Skye sent to Willow and Garrett. His dragon was pushing at him, moving and pacing in his body. He could feel Garrett's magic already boiling and ready, Willow and Jos were both ready to blow their loads. Skye reached in with his mind and pulled at Jos's magic as his orgasm struck. Garrett's power flowed with Skye's and pounded into both Willow and Jos, blending and swirling.

Jos was glowing brightly enough to light the entire area. His face was rapture, his eyes burning flames - and then they rolled back into his head as he went limp.

"Uh oh, think we might have over done it..." Willow said in a worried voice.

"Holy fucking shit!" Corbin exclaimed. He stood staring, stunned with his mouth hanging open.

Skye carefully extracted himself, as did Willow. Garrett nudged them aside and began licking up Willows spent seed that coated Jos's chest. "Damn Willow, your cream is second only to Skye's. I may not have been up to the party but damn sure not going to pass up this feast."

Skye felt nothing short of incredible. He and Willow were also glowing, though not nearly as brightly as Jos. He stood and grabbed his coveralls and then noticed Corbin still standing - just staring.

"You okay Corbin?" Skye asked.

Corbin seemed to snap out of it, looked at Skye then walked over and knelt before him on the ground. Corbin put his head to Skye's feet. "Please Skye, please. I'll do anything you want. I'll be your slave, your servant. You can fuck me whenever you want. You need a blowjob, I'm your man, and I don't care where we are or who is watching. I'll beg if you want me to..."

Skye felt a twinge of horror at Corbin's words. With everything he was dealing with right now it was like ice down his spine. He could feel the truth behind them, he knew that Corbin was dead serious. Skye reached down and forced Corbin to stand facing him.

Corbin turned his head to the side and wouldn't make eye contact.

Skye put his hands to either side of Corbin's face and made him look into his eyes. "No Corbin, you are not to be my slave. You do not need to beg. That's the pull of the magic making you say those crazy things. What I shared with Jos will be yours too. Maybe not today, but it WILL happen. I promise." Skye gently kissed Corbin's lips and saw the smile he loved return to the handsome face.

"We ought to get some rest. I think we may need the guys to move up their rotation. Not sure either of these two are up to it," Garrett said.

"No I'm fine, honest," Corbin objected.

"Do we have any open bunks? I think I'll need to carry Jos in." Skye asked as he knelt down and managed to get Jos's limp form over his shoulder. "Willow can you grab his stuff?"

Fortunately there was a bunk open against the wall for Jos. Skye got him in and wondered if he should try getting Jos dressed when Willow climbed on top of him and stretched out.

"Willow?"

"There aren't enough bunks for everyone, besides I don't mind being Jos's blanket. He feels real nice and I should take care of my dragon...right?"

Feired was awake and dressed and had just come up behind Skye. "What the..."

"Thanks for taking over a little early Feired. Jos is a little out of it," Garrett remarked as he spread a blanket over Willow's back.

"Guess that's one way to put it," Feired said giving Skye an accusing glare. "Given that dorky smile on his face and the way he's glowing I'm thinking he didn't mind getting there. But why is Willow naked and all over him?"

"He's mine Feired, I've claimed him," Willow said with a smile before nuzzling back into Jos's muscled chest.

Feired gave Skye a questioning look.

Skye shrugged. "Corbin's outside. I'm sure he'll tell you."

"He better not be glowing," Feired muttered as he headed out of the bunk house.

  • Scene 7 *

Someone had built the fire up which helped fight off the morning chill. Damn I'm spoiled. Skye thought as he tried to swallow down the fiber bar ration. The juice, if that's what you called it, wasn't much better. At least everything was fairly quiet.

"Thanks again for the help yesterday," Kepper said.

"Do you think you'll get more in today?" Skye asked.

"I hope not. Even with what you guys brought we're running low on supplies. I think we're through the worst of it and the sooner we can close down, the better. Just too much of a temptation for the goblins."

"Where will you head next?" Garrett asked.

"May sound strange but I have an office and regular patients I need to get back to. So hopefully home," Kepper said.

"Gentlemen," Baker greeted as he came up and knelt beside Garrett. "There was a problem last night."

"Zo?"

"No, not sure what it was and that's why it's a problem. The patrol found what appears to be remains of possibly two goblins. We can't be real sure 'cause there's not enough left. Whatever it was completely shredded them, there's not even enough to pick up. Even worse is how close they were to camp."

"Any tracks?"

"Not a one. I went out and checked myself. Not sure how it's possible - it takes some intelligence to hide tracks and wild beasts don't usually have that. I don't think they were up to any good either - given the remains of weapons we found. And I mean remains as in scraps."

"Do you think we need to call anyone in?" Garrett asked.

"For what? A wild animal kill? If it were clearly murder sure. But there's just not enough left. I sent one of the guys out to do a controlled burn. We don't want the blood and gore to attract anything. I just thought you should know," Baker said.

"Interesting Skye... don't you think?" Garrett asked with eyebrow raised.

It would explain that feeling I got last night.

Best we keep our eyes open, Garrett sent.

"Good Morning!" Willow called in a chipper voice as he came and sat himself in Skye's lap.

"You're looking rather happy with yourself this morning," Skye commented giving Willow a hug. He buried his face in the blond-green curls and inhaled deeply. "Mmmmm, you smell good."

"Did you let Jos get any sleep?" Garrett asked running his hand down Willows arm and leaning in for his own morning kiss.

"Of course... in between..."

Skye snorted, "in between?"

"Well with him passing out and all, I wasn't sure he was real clear on his understanding that he's mine now. I thought he needed some reminding, so whenever he'd get hard again I'd show him how well his parts fit with my parts and how much he needed me."

"Did he agree?" Garrett asked.

"He was sort of hard to understand but he made the cutest noises and moaned a whole lot. He's resting now," Willow said with a grin that went from ear to ear.

"Willow, you need to let him get some sleep. He has a job to do and if you wear him out, he can't. All the guards are off limits when they're on duty," Skye said.

"Oh he wasn't on duty!"

"No pretty boy but he still needs some recovery time," Garrett chided.

Skye saw Baker coming back and the look on his face wasn't a good one.

"What is it?"

"He's gone again," Baker said shaking his head.

"Anything else missing, medkit, supplies?" Garrett asked.

"Not that we noticed. It hasn't been long, I saw him doing rounds earlier."

"Guess we need to go after him..." Skye said burying his face back into Willow.

"I'll help," Willow offered.

"You never said what you picked up from my questioning," Garrett said.

"Nope, and I'm not ready to either."

"Seriously Skye, don't do anything you don't want to. You are my world and frankly I don't care about anything else."

"I love you too Garrett. Now let's see if we can find your brother."

It didn't take long for Fisk and Feired to gear up and while Garrett wasn't thrilled with being separated he agreed Skye had a much better chance of dealing with Zo once they found him. It took about two hours before they caught up with Garrett's rogue brother. He had headed straight North. Between the implant tracking and Willow's skill it wasn't too difficult to find him, the hard part was by the time they caught up he was very close to an encampment of about ten goblins.

Skye reached out to Zo. Zo. Stop! You're about to barge into a goblin camp. That won't go well.

"Who's there?" Zo called out.

Willow scampered back and leaned into Skye. "They heard him, the goblins are picking up their weapons and looking around."

"Stay out of sight and don't do anything stupid," Skye whispered.

Zo appeared to look around before continuing on.

"Suggestions?" Skye whispered into his mic.

A loud screeching roar echoed through the forest. Skye felt his blood go cold and broke out into a sweat. The sound was terrifying. But it also made an incredible distraction as the goblins took off toward the source of the sound.

"Can you take him down?" Feired asked.

Skye reached out and put Zo to sleep. They watched as he toppled to the ground. "Quickly, let's get him to cover," Skye said into the mic as he and the others approached the downed prince.

"Skye... over here," Willow called quietly.

They dragged Zo over to some large trees near a large patch of bramble bushes.

"Help me get him farther in, then I can hide us until the goblins calm down."

"Shouldn't we get away as quickly as we can while they're distracted?" Skye asked.

"Not all the goblins ran off, they're sure to see us - especially if we're carrying Zo. It's a miracle they haven't spotted us already."

"No, it's nymph magic. Now everyone, get under the briar patch," Willow ordered.

"When everyone had managed to crawl in they found there was a lot more space than they expected, then even as they watched, the leaves and berries grew and the branches thickened completely closing off the outside world. Then the moss under them grew thick and lush."

"Impressive," Fisk said.

"I have lots of talents," Willow said with a pout.

"Yes you do," Skye whispered pulling Willow into him. "Guess now we wait."

"How will we know when it's clear?" Feired asked.

"Oh, I can slip out at any time and check," Willow said.

"Of course he can," muttered Fisk.

"Is everything okay Fisk, you seem upset?" Skye asked.

"He didn't tell you about his little show?"

Skye tried to muffle the laugh that escaped as he realized what likely happened. "So Willow made sure you and Mica saw him seeing to Jos's needs?"

Fisk looked back in surprise and blushed deep red. "Yeah."

"He had his chance Skye but I found my dragon. He's just jealous."

No need to be cruel Willow. You know you still want him, Skye sent.

Yeah, but he doesn't know that. Let him pursue me or if his control is so good he can just go without, Willow replied managing to send all the emotions along with it.

The forest sounds were all of a sudden silent and then gunfire and sounds of blasters before the screams began. Gut wrenching, horrifying screams. Sounds that Skye remembered all too well from the slaver caves. "Everyone stay silent and don't move."

It seemed like an eternity until the deathly quiet resumed. Everyone looked at each other, waiting.

"What? What the hell..." Zo began sitting up and shaking his head.

Shit, shit. Skye reached out and with no attempt at finesse knocked Zo back out.

They waited and then before long heard something - heavy breathing and a low growl. Something or someone was walking around their hiding place.

Skye reached out with his mind and found a familiar presence. His dragon came alert and his breathing quickened. Chaz?

Are you well Your Majesty? the deep mind voice responded.

Everyone is fine. Thank you for your help.

You should kill him. This is the second time he's put you in danger. He's weak and not worth your time. I'll do it for you if you like.

No, but thank you for the offer. I know what I have to do. I'm just working up the nerve. I've missed you Chaz... I can feel you on my skin.

Your magic pulls me. It's almost painful...

I'm sorry Chaz. I've been told that we can't fight it. That the longer we resist the more powerful it will become. Am I really that repulsive? Skye asked then had a sinking feeling as he remembered those same words being used by Lord Eluf.

No, not repulsive. I can't stop thinking of you and your touch. It's like torture...

I don't know what to tell you...

I like speaking mind-to-mind with you, it feels... right. I must go! Others are approaching.

Skye felt Chaz's presence disappear then moments later heard voices.

"Skye?" Garrett called out.

"We're here Garrett. Go ahead and let them find us Willow."

The leaves pulled back and the brambles returned to normal as they crawled back out into the forest, dragging the sleeping Zo behind them.

  • Scene 8 *

"Your Majesty, I'm sorry but we can't allow you to do that," the medic pilot said nervously as he watched Garrett manhandling his brother onto the transport.

"I take full responsibility," Garrett replied as Skye helped him fasten Zo into one of the seats. Zo wasn't fighting too much but he was still out of it enough to be hard to handle. Garrett reached into the duffle. "You sure they're in here."

"Yes, I packed them myself. Kwill said I might need them," Skye answered securing Zo's flight harness.

"Sir, I appreciate that and all but he's still a royal prince. You don't outrank him, this isn't a military ship."

"Skye... the hand thing," Garrett said in exasperation as he searched the duffle. You still haven't explained why he gave it to you and not me.

I'm sorry Garrett but neither he nor Pater gave me any explanation. I didn't even know until I met with the Fleet Admiral. I never even heard of 'Hand of the Emperor' before.

See if you can get them calmed down.

"I'm sorry guys, but I do have the authority. Do you have a reader or can I just show you?" Skye asked.

"Better use a reader, I'm not going to prison over this," the co-pilot said worriedly.

The medic pilot held out a tablet. Skye placed his right palm down on the device and it glowed a bright white. The pad chimed and Skye pulled his hand back.

"Father Dragon! I'm sorry sir. We didn't know," the medic pilot apologized.

"You couldn't have known. Now I'd like you to forget it."

"Yes sir, of course Your Majesty."

"Ready to help me?" Garrett asked.

Skye helped Garrett attach the dragon restraints to Zo and the flight chair.

"What the hell are you doing to me?" Zo asked groggily.

"Securing you to take you home," Garrett answered as he finished.

"I'm a prince, you can't do this to me!" Zo exclaimed as his mind cleared.

"Oh little brother, you have no idea," Garrett said through gritted teeth. "Skye, can you zappy him again."

Skye laughed. "Zappy? Probably shouldn't but I can calm him down for a bit."

Skye reached out with his mind. Should have known Kwill had this all planned, so damned convenient I had all the right lessons for this trip. Skye began thinking through the list and focused on triggering the release of dopamine and serotonin. He watched and added a little more dopamine until he got the expression he wanted.

"Shit baby what did you do to him?" Garrett asked noting Zo's dopey expression and the total loving and lustful look he was giving Skye.

"I just gave him an incredible post-orgasmic high - without the sex. Sort of what happened to Jos but Zo's still awake. He'll be real agreeable for the next six to eight hours."

"Damn you are dangerous," Garrett said.

"You can thank Kwill. It's nothing compared to what he had me do to that poor silver yesterday." Skye turned to the others as he and Garrett prepared to leave. "Guys he should be calm and no problem until we get back."

Willow had found a clearing not too far from the shuttle that would work for what they needed. Skye did a head check as he and Garrett approached, Feired, Mica, Fisk, Jos, Corbin, and Willow were all standing in a circle.

"Thanks for waiting, Zo's safely on board so we can talk. I have a favor to ask and honestly that's not even close to the right word. I have no right to ask this of any of you, but I have a challenge that is beyond me. I need help. You are my wing and my family." Skye saw Corbin nervously looking at the others.

"Yes Corbin, you are included in this. It may come to include the others from our wing, those who my magic calls to us but for now - you are the core. Each of you has the right to say no to what I'm asking."

"Skye you haven't asked anything or even told us what this is about?" Willow said.

"I know what I, or perhaps we, have to do to help Prince Zopyros. But I can't do it on my own. Actually I don't want to do it at all..."

"Skye you don't have to. At this point I'm ready to just let him destroy himself," Garrett interrupted.

"No, I've thought it through. While I'm not going to say I have a tremendous amount of compassion at this point. The ripples and devastation to the people I care about make it clear. I have to do what I can. Zo is trying very hard to get himself killed or at least punished. But every time he commits what he thinks will be the unforgiveable, his family steps in and fixes it. Sends him off with a pat on the head. Today he fully intended to put himself in the position of being killed. Sort of forcing others to help him commit suicide. Yes he's broken inside but there's also a good spark still burning. Ultimately I think if I can find the right bond-mate, one who is also bound to us - we may be able to fix it."

"How's that going to fix him sir? And how can we help with that?" Mica asked.

"That's the long-term. He's not ready for that yet. For now it's clear that Zo cannot operate on his own or independently. He's only stable when someone else is telling him what to do and when to do it. That's why it worked with Sirana," Skye said turning to Garrett.

"She controlled almost every facet of his life. She manipulated him to the point he almost didn't take a piss without her permission. This is where I need each and every one of you. I need you to help be his 'masters'. Our magic and binding him to me, or rather us, will be the catalyst. Zo will become our 'slave' and servant. He will need to be punished and humiliated. He knows he has done wrong and desperately needs to feel that he is paying for his transgressions. I don't know the first thing about being a dominant or a master but it appears that is the only way to make this work."

"Obviously we don't want to embarrass the Royal Family or create a scandal. So what we do must be invisible to the outside world, yet impactful to Zo. Once he feels he's paid for what he's done, then he may be able to flourish again and move on to the next step. But it will ultimately take an extremely strong bond-mate and possibly our continued efforts to make him functional."

Skye waited for everyone to think it through.

"Are you sure Skye, what will this do to you?" Garrett asked.

"Take the last piece of my innocence? I don't know Garrett but after you questioned him - it was crystal clear. Kwill told me it would be and damn if he wasn't right yet again. He also warned me it would be a very difficult decision."

"I don't think you have it in you to be cruel..." Mica said.

"I agree," Willow chimed in.

"But sir, maybe you don't have to be. Forgive me for thinking out loud and maybe this is why you need us... what if we are the punishers, those that bring humiliation and pain. Even if he saw it as following your orders, you could be the compassionate master. The one to console and remind him if he behaved he wouldn't have to endure the punishment. You could be the one to tend his wounds so to speak," Corbin said, looking around the group nervously.

"Father Dragon... that's brilliant Corbin," Garrett said.

"But sirs, the Emperor will have us all imprisoned, tortured and killed for doing that to a prince!" Feired exclaimed.

"No Feired, I don't think so. Besides we've done nothing yet and won't until 'we' have the express permission and support of both the Emperor and Prince Argos," Skye said.

"So you're going to tell them?" Jos asked in disbelief.

"Every sordid detail and I will make sure Tennat and Kwill are there to back us up. I believe they already know and may have even shared a little with Darius and Argos," Skye explained. "So if we proceed, it will be with their support. If not, he's their problem to deal with and Garrett and I wash our hands of the issue. The only way I can do this is with your help. I know it is too much to ask but it's all I've got. Would anyone like to decline?"

"No sir, we're all in this with you," Feired said looking around at the others.

The rest of the men echoed Feired.

Skye felt a huge surge of relief knowing he wasn't in it alone and could feel the support and love from his men. "There's one more thing - well at least for Corbin and Feired. Before we do anything with Zo I will need to share my magic with both of you. Not at the same time but..."

"Whenever you want!" Corbin said his smile threatening to overwhelm his face.

"The same sir, you know I'm willing," Feired said coming over to Skye and giving him a hug. Skye turned and hugged Corbin as well then he noticed Willow off to the side deep in thought.

"You okay with this Willow?"

"Oh yes. I was just thinking of how we might turn this into something positive for the rest of us."

Skye picked up on Willows thoughts and blushed. "Willow!"

"Seriously Skye, what could be more humiliating to an overly proud and pompous prince. You know he is. He might be all caring about his patients, but I've heard the servants talk. He feels very entitled and above everyone else."

"Willow, for a relatively young man. There's a great deal of wisdom in that pretty head of yours. I'd honestly never thought of it before, but you are absolutely right," Garrett said.
