Well... this is... somewhat painful for me to write. As some of you (or... in actuality... the one reader I probably have left) may have guessed by now... I'm discontinuing "Common People."
There is mainly one reason why I'm doing this: I just seem to have no motivation to write this particular story anymore. I just don't. The last time I submitted a chapter was on July 9th and, since then, I've sat at my computer countless times, staring at a blank Word document. I would type a few lines, read it, erase... over and over and OVER again.
Now... this isn't necessarily the death of "Common People." All the files are still on my computer and will remain so... and, I will continue to ponder the fate of Toby and JC. If I come up with anything worth writing about... well... you guys will have a new chapter to read. So why am I sending this? Basically to let you guys know that a new chapter, while a long time in coming, isn't likely to happen any time soon.
In the meantime, however... I am happy to announce that I have a new story forthcoming on the Nifty Boy Bands Archive. Ok, ok... I hear the collective groan out there... this one will be updated a little more frequently than "Common People" was... and how, you may ask, can I be sure of that? Well... I actually have ideas for this one.
Anyways, the story is entitled "Yellow," and will feature a different main character (ok, so the people who've read a sneak preview of the first chapter would say a VERY different main character... well... I mean... he's not like a goat or anything... but he's just a little different than most of the protagonists you find on Nifty... in other words, he's a lot of fun to write) and a different member of NSYNC (sorry Jeff... still not Lance... SLJ). I should be posting the Prelude to the story very soon (oooh... my new story has a PRELUDE!), so keep your eyes peeled for it, ya hear?
Until then, my friends... don't let the man get you down!
