Carter and the Biker Boy Chapter 47

"Holy crap, babe, we've gotta go to Caleb's house right now! Brennan is giving him some crap again!"

Parker had just come out of the bathroom and had just zipped up his jeans.

"Let's go! I'll drive!"

We literally flew out of the house, hopped in the Rav 4 and within moments we were heading up to Harlem Road on the way to Caleb's house. My eyes were glued to my phone waiting for updates from Caleb. My mind was swimming with scenarios of what could be going on between him and Brennan. Based on what happened before, I could only fear the worst. We pulled into the driveway at Caleb's house and nothing outside looked any different. There were no new tire marks in the snow, at least that I could tell.

Parker had been very serious and quiet on the way over, concentrating on driving and remaining calm. I was a huge basket case and was on the verge of tears.

We got out of the car and walked to the door.

Before we had a chance to ring the doorbell, the interior door opened and immediately the glass outer door fogged up, making it difficult to see who was at the door.

For a moment, the door didn't open.

Parker spoke in a calm, collected, and firm voice.

"Brennan, we're here to see Caleb."

The voice behind the door suddenly became loud and furious.

"What, are you his little faggot friends that are here to rescue him? Or are you here to give him what he wants? Give him what all you faggots want?"

"We're just here to talk to Caleb, nothing more."

"Well, you're not coming in, plain and simple. This is bullshit what you've done to my brother."

"Brennan, we haven't done anything to Caleb. Right now, we're just here to protect him. He requested that we come over."

"Is that right Caleb, did you call your faggot buddies over here to protect you? Where's your butt buddy Noah now?" Brennan was reaching a level of anger and delirium I'd never experienced in anyone before.

Caleb was crying like crazy now, and we could hear Brennan going into the kitchen after Caleb in an effort to catch him to do God knows what. Suddenly we could hear footsteps running toward the door. The latch on the inside was unlocked and Caleb burst outside as if he was running for his life. He at least had shoes on, but no jacket and it had to be at least fifteen degrees Fahrenheit outside.

"Take him to the car NOW" Parker instructed me and told me to call 911. I could see that Caleb had a new bruise on his right arm, as well as what looked like a burn mark or something on his neck. I was so furious! "I'm going in" Parker yelled to me as the operator from the 911 dispatch picked up the phone.

"Hi, My name is Carter Michaels, I'm at my friend's house on (I gave the address) and his brother is threatening him with bodily harm. Can you please send someone here ASAP?"

The operator told me to stay on the line as I watched what unfolded between Brennan and Parker on the front porch of their house.

As Parker was going to go in the house to reason with Brennan, Brennan came storming out of the house carrying a baseball bat. He took a lazy, awkward swing at Parker, missing as Parker ducked. In one swift move, Parker tackled Brennan, who probably outweighed Parker by at least fifty pounds and maybe six inches in height. In mere seconds, Parker had Brennan pinned down on the snow covered ground near the sidewalk, as he pulled Brennan's sweatshirt up over his head and tied his arms together. I noticed a strand of Christmas tree lights dangling from the tall evergreen by the door, so I raced out and pulled it off to give it to Parker, who then tied Brennan's legs together. All the while Brennan, who now realized defeat, was screaming and crying in pain from the cold snow on his bare chest and from some other demon that seemed to be coming out of him.

"Babe, look, what is that?" I told Parker, pointing to a small bag that had fallen out of Brennan's sweatshirt pocket when Parker pulled it over his head. The bag looked like it had a white powder-like substance inside.

"Well, that makes sense. We now know that Brennan must have been taking some sort of drugs. That explains it." Parker surmised, and I agreed.

Moments later we heard the sirens heading towards the house and two SUV squad cars pulled up in front of the house. A lady and a male officer stepped out of their respective cars; the male officer went to Brennan and Parker, the lady cop stopped by Parker's car to talk to Caleb who had gotten out of the car.

By the time everything was sorted out, Brennan ended up getting arrested on a domestic charge and of course for possession and being under the influence of cocaine. Their parents came home from work relatively quickly, to find out the horrible news about what went down.

Obviously, they were both in shock to learn that Brennan was wrapped up in doing an illicit drug, which of course led to him doing physical harm to Caleb.

Brennan, for some reason to save his face or to justify his reason for being angry at Caleb, on the way to the police car suddenly blurted out to his parents and the police officers, "Caleb is gay, Mom and Dad. These two are his butt buddies that came to save him."

If it wasn't bad enough about Brennan's malicious actions towards Caleb and his drug problem, he had no right to lash out against the three of us like that, and going further even still: outing Caleb.

Unfortunately, imagine the look on Caleb's parents face? Caleb turned to his mom who had been holding him making sure he was okay. "Is that true, honey?"

"Yes Mom, it's true. And if it wasn't for Carter and Parker, I'm almost certain that Brennan would have beat me up badly. He caused the black eye, not me running into the door at night. He hit me here, and here." With that, Caleb burst into tears. Caleb's mom invited us all to go in the house, while Caleb's dad followed the police officers downtown to figure out what was going to happen to Brennan.

When we got in the house, we were all shivering cold, so Caleb's mom offered to make some hot chocolate for us. When we sat down at the table in the dining room, Carol (his mom) spoke first.

"Honey, it's okay that you are who you are. You know we love you either way. I am so sorry you felt that you couldn't come to us and let us know how you felt." And then she spoke to us. "Carter, Parker, thank you so much for being a great friend to Caleb. We had no idea what was going on. It's funny how we go to work every day and never think that something like this would ever happen. We did have a feeling about Caleb, and that's okay! But what Brennan did is not at all okay. It's horrible. Thank God that you kept him from doing further bodily harm to Caleb, Parker."

"You're welcome." Parker said politely. "We love Caleb like a brother and can't imagine anything bad happening to him."

"We will get to the bottom of what's going on with Brennan. You know, now that I look back at the past two weeks since he's been back from school, there has been a change in his behavior. I didn't think much about it, but oh my God! I can't believe this has happened."

She broke down and began to cry, so Caleb put his hand on her shoulder and told her that it would be okay, and that they'd get everything figured out, and would get him the help that he needed.

When our hot chocolate and cookies were finished, we both thought it was time to get up and head back to my house. Carol thanked us again for being such great friends to Caleb and for helping him from being too physically hurt by Brennan. We both told her that we hope everything with Brennan would get sorted out and that he could get back to being the same nice guy he was when we met him.

"Wow, can you believe what just went down?" I asked Parker on the way home. "You were amazing back there." I added.

"Thanks babe." Parker replied, navigating the Rav 4 through the afternoon traffic as we headed back to my house. "I'm just glad we could be there for Caleb. That's so crazy about what's gone down with Brennan. I never would have guessed, but now it makes perfect sense. It will be interesting to get the full story of what happened."

"I agree. Man, what a day!" Parker just smiled and moved his hand down to his Levi's.

"We got time before your mom comes home?" he asked, with a devilish smile that formed in the corner of his mouth.

"I will make time, and yes, we should."

So of course, when we got back to my house, I made sure that I took care of him. This time instead of both of us on my bed, Parker sat on the bed, and I knelt down before him, unzipping his pants and taking him in my mouth until he shot a super large load down my throat.

He had no sooner zipped up his pants when we heard the back door to the house open up and Mom came in. We both smiled and Parker whispered that he'd return the favor later. My perpetual hard-on was definitely a clue that I was so freaking horny for relief.

Of course, we clued Mom in as to what transpired at Caleb's house. She listened in disbelief just like Caleb's mom had. When we finished, Mom praised us for our actions.

"That is the best course of action to take, calling the police, especially in a domestic issue like this. I am so sorry to know that Brennan has a drug issue, especially with cocaine. Wow. And for Caleb to have to come out like that, thank goodness his mom and dad were understanding. The road ahead is going to be rough for them. Parker, you did a great job to diffuse the situation. Have you ever thought about becoming a police officer?"

I about turned and yelled to mom in an emphatic NO response, but I held off to hear his response.

"Well Senora, I've thought about it, but unless I grow a little taller, I don't think I'd be a good cop. But you never know, right?"

We all laughed and then when mom asked us to go out for Mexican food, we said sure!

Fiesta Mazatlan is located about two miles from our house and has probably the best Mexican food in the area. Despite there being a family owned restaurant about two blocks from our house, they do not compare to the quality and authentic cuisine at the Fiesta restaurant.

I ordered Chicken Fajitas, Mom ordered Carnitas, and Parker ordered Steak Fajitas. While we waited for our food, we ate some chips and salsa and talked a little more about Caleb and his situation with his brother. We then talked about Mom's job and some of the strange things she'd seen in the ER. Before long, our food showed up and there wasn't much left by the time we were full.

Mom was going to go over to John's house for a few minutes to talk about something, so that gave Parker and me a few minutes to complete what we'd started.

And he took care of me just the same way I'd taken care of him. I wanted more, but he had to get home, and we both had practice at school in the morning -- me swim practice and Parker had wrestling practice. We had once again planned to pick Caleb up at his house.

In the morning when we picked him up for practice, Caleb seemed better. Brennan did not come home in fact he wouldn't be allowed to come back home until he got professional help. As he told us later after practice once again over bagels, Brennan fell into the trap of getting into drugs at school. Apparently, his roommate had drugs and at a party offered some to Brennan. It all snowballed from there and as his grades started to suffer, the usage of drugs increased. It turned out that he ended up failing all of his classes and likely would not be allowed to go back to the college. It was too bad, because he was a nice guy before succumbing to the drug usage. Caleb said that his parents would get him into a rehab program before he'd be allowed to come back home.

I had to ask how his parents were handling his news about coming out to them.

"They've been okay with it, surprisingly. It's an adjustment for them, but they seem to be okay with it. The main thing is that they're not going to stop me from seeing Noah or you guys. In fact, they are so appreciative of you guys being there for me. If it hadn't been for you both, who knows what might've happened."

I shuddered at the thought of something bad happening to Caleb. And then I had to ask further about Noah.

"So does that mean that they are okay with Noah coming over to your house then?"

"I asked them that question and they did say that they wanted to meet him. They also asked me some, um, personal questions that were kind of embarrassing, you know, about, sex and all." Caleb whispered now, almost turning red. "And of course I had to tell them that yes, I knew about being careful and all. But all in all, I have to say that I'm very relieved and happy that they know. It's too bad it happened that way, but what can I say? I guess my situation had to be different than other guys, right?"

We both laughed a bit, as now we could laugh since the potentially severe and difficult situation was over.

To my surprise, Parker then made an offer that shocked me.

"So, hey guys, how about the four of us get together some night, you know, and like um, go on a double date of sorts? We could go out to eat and then catch a movie, or go back to my house? What do you think? I'm sure my mom would be okay with you guys coming over."

"That'd be so cool, Parker! I think Noah would love that idea. What do you think, Carter?"

I thought for a moment, and then said the same thing that it seemed like a cool idea.

We decided on the following weekend, on Saturday after our swim meet and Parker's wrestling meet.

The first week back of school after the Christmas break was good. Honestly, after the crazy stuff that went on over the holidays with Caleb and Brennan, it was nice to get back to some sort of normalcy.

Caleb seemed to be in a much better state of mind, much happier than before. In fact, he was at the point where if anyone at school asked him if Noah was his boyfriend, he wouldn't tell them no. Pretty much everyone knew that Noah was gay, and so it made logical sense that as much as Caleb and him hung around each other at school, everyone would figure out that they were a couple.

Parker and I had a conversation about that same topic, and we were reaching the point where if we were confronted about our sexuality at school, we decided that we would no longer deny who we were. It was the next step in accepting ourselves. I had a long conversation one afternoon when we didn't have class with John in his office about that and he agreed that as long as I felt comfortable, then it was time to be ourselves at school.

The week ended just as quickly as it began, and it was set that we would have a guys night/sleepover at Parker's house. Our moms were all good with it, or at least my mom and Parker's mom were. We knew that Noah's mom would be okay, and after talking to Parker's mom, Caleb's mom agreed to let Caleb spend the night as well. We would have the house to ourselves for most of the evening, as Parker's mom was going to go out for a while to a late holiday party at her work.

The plans were then set. We opted to go to a super cool restaurant in Loves Park called Wood Fire that was kind of expensive, but since Caleb's mom and dad offered to pay since we essentially saved Caleb from getting seriously injured by Brennan, we chose to give it a try.

Fortunately, both meets were held at Harlem, so we finished up by early afternoon. Parker won his meet in his weight class (130) and both Caleb and I placed well in most of our races. It was cool to see how far Caleb had come with his swimming at school since freshman year. Noah had his mom bring him to the meet as well, so he was cheering on both of us.

"I'm so looking forward to spending the night at Parker's house tonight!" Caleb told me at our lockers as we were getting ready to shower after the swim meet. Of course, he was hard as usual, his erection seemed to be bigger than usual, almost plastered against his groin when we went into the shower. Angelo just shook his head and laughed, telling him that he needed to take a cold shower and to make sure that he got laid this weekend.

"I'm looking forward to it as well." I told Caleb, thinking about what might transpire over the course of the night. I knew what could happen, and what likely might happen, and what might not happen. All possibilities were definitely fun, and I found myself enjoying the hot shower a little too much. Angelo noticed and of course commented. "Dang Carter, you better turn that water to cold as well and hope you can get laid too. Who's the lucky girl?"

I just laughed and held my right hand out, which caused everyone in the shower room to laugh and turn away, several commenting something like "yeah, I hear you there, and hey, that's my girl too, you leave her alone!"

Parker picked me up at 3:30. He was dressed in a nice pullover sweater from Hollister and jeans and his Addidas soccer shoes. I also chose a pullover sweater from Hollister and jeans but had Nike running shoes on. He hugged me when he came in, then hugged Mom as well.

"Oh, Parker you smell good." Mom commented. "I love that scent, what is it?"

"It's So Cal, from Hollister." He replied, smiling.

"I love it too, Mama," I offered my opinion as well.

"Okay boys, have fun tonight, be careful please and text me when you get back to Parker's house, okay mi amor?" I told Mom that I would. She was going to spend the night at John's house, but since this was one of the first times we'd gone out with others, she wanted to make sure we got back safely.

We then picked up Caleb. It was the first time we'd been to his house since the confrontation with Brennan. His mom seemed to be doing okay but seemed somewhat nervous about Caleb going out with us. We reassured her that we wouldn't be out too long only to go to the dinner and then a movie at the theaters on Perryville Road in Machesney Park, not too far from school. We then told her we would be going back to Parker's house to play video games and hang out. She asked Caleb to text her when we got to Parker's house. It was reassuring to her when I told her that my mom had requested the same thing.

Caleb was so excited. He was wearing a simple navy blue hoodie and jeans with Nike shoes. He couldn't believe that he was actually going to go on a date with Noah with us. We couldn't believe it either, to be honest.

Noah came out of his house before we could get out to go in to meet his mom. He was obviously just as excited as Caleb was, and when he got into the backseat of the Rav 4, they immediately kissed each other and were holding hands all the way to the restaurant.

The restaurant was great. I wanted to try their signature baked salmon, which I had heard was amazing, but since Caleb's mom had given him money to buy, I felt like it would be wrong to try one of the expensive items on the menu, and at $37, it seemed like I'd better try it another time. We all opted for pizzas instead of an actual dinner item. Parker and I opted for the Ultimate Meat pizza, while Caleb and Noah got the Pepperoni and Sausage pizza.

We all decided that rather than buy an expensive dessert from Wood Fire, we'd go to Freddy's for some frozen custard before the movie started. We all got the signature turtle Sundae, which was amazing. We sat there enjoying the sundae and noticed that a few of the guys from the swim team came in with their girlfriends. They came over to say hi to us, and I think they might have figured out something about us, but they just smiled and told us to have a great night when they went to sit down at their table.

Since we were all into Japanese Anime, we were excited to see that The Boy and the Heron was still playing. In fact, it was a unanimous choice, there was no other movie that we wanted to see.

We pretty much bypassed the concession stand for now, since we were quite full of the pizzas and the sundaes.

Fortunately, there weren't many people in the theater as the movie had already been out for a while. We sat three rows down from the back of the theater, and there was no one anywhere close to us, I think the closest people were like four or five rows down from us. We left one seat between us -- Caleb sat one seat away from me on my left, Noah next to him. Parker sat on my right.

As soon as the lights lowered and the previews of upcoming movies began, Parker reached for my right hand. It felt so amazing to hold his hand in the theater! In fact, before the actual show started, we began kissing, stopping only when Caleb asked me a question about the show. Once the show started, we snuggled up close to each other holding hands, our head touching as I snuggled up close to him. Luckily the hand rest between us moved up, so we were able to get nice and close.

The movie was amazing, but what seemed more amazing was holding Parker's hand and snuggling next to each other for the entire movie. At one point when he let go of my hand to scratch his back, I moved my hand down by his thigh and got close enough to feel that like me, he was hard. If the movie wasn't so good I think I would have gone down on him which would have been totally hot.

At one point during a transition point of the story, I glanced over at Caleb and Noah to see them kissing and not really paying any attention to the movie, at that point at least. I just smiled. It was cool to see them both happy.

When the movie finally ended and the lights in the theater came up, we quickly separated from each other. To anyone who might have seen us, it probably would have been obvious, and they would have figured it out, but luckily there were only like eight other people in the theater, and they were a mix of guys and girls our age.

It was funny when the four of us stood up, because it was like we each had to adjust ourselves to make it not look so obvious that we each had a hard on! We all stopped to use the bathroom, which wasn't very easy either.

We pretty much laughed about that all the way to Parker's house. As we were driving home, Parker asked if we would want something to snack on later on, or if we'd want something better to eat, like another pizza later on.

"I'd be down for some pizza that you guys are always talking about." Caleb commented. "Me too, that sounds good, even though we just had pizza at Wood Fire" Noah added.

"Okay, I agree, babe. Pizza sounds great." I confirmed, and then, "Hey babe, how about we order for delivery when we get home and then all answer the door in our underwear when the driver shows up?"

Noah and Caleb both had horrified looks on their faces, not knowing exactly what the heck I was talking about, so I let them know about how the same guy shows up for delivery.

"He looks like he's about twenty years old, kind of cute in a pizza delivery, kind of James Dean look -- or the guy Dylan from that old 90210 Beverly Hills show, and NO not the Dylan from school that we all know."

"Ohhhh he's so hot in an older guy kind of way." Noah now added. "So, what is this all about answering the door in our undies?"

I told them how he always would glare at us when we opened the door in just our underwear a couple of times. And how we always gave him a decent tip. "Let's do it!" Caleb responded with enthusiasm in his voice. "I can't wait to see his response!"

"Yeah, especially if we're like holding on to each other, right babe?" Noah remarked.

We all agreed we'd give the pizza delivery guy a bit of a show.

And so as soon as we got to Parker's house he called and ordered two large pepperoni pizzas. The delivery time would be about an hour, so it would give us time to... "prepare" Since neither Noah nor Caleb had been to Parker's house, he showed them around, like where everything was upstairs in the kitchen and bathroom, and his room. They both couldn't believe how many ribbons and awards he'd won for participation in wrestling matches and for his self-defense classes.

"Geez Parker, you're such a butch boy." Noah proclaimed in a less than straight boy voice, if you know what I mean. "Such a big strong boy!" Parker and I just smiled, but Caleb looked like he was sort of jealous by the comment.

"Yeah, but I've seen your man in the pool, and in the shower too, Noah. He's no couch potato!" Caleb smiled and wrapped his arms around Noah, giving him a kiss on his cheek. They both liked the basement, especially the hot tub and the wrestling mat.

And so, the night started out with us stripping down to our underwear, socks and t-shirts at first to wrestle around on the mat.

First, we wrestled as couples. That then erupted into us all wrestling around on the mat as four of us together. By now our shirts had come off. We decided to have a wrestling match to where when someone got pinned, they would be eliminated.

In our first match, we were laughing and rolling around on the mat not taking anything seriously at all, with the lone exception being Parker, who one by one quickly pinned Noah, me, and then Caleb to be the first winner.

In the second match, we tried to take it more seriously, but Caleb pinned Noah, then me, and then it became an epic battle between Parker and Caleb, that lasted nearly ten minutes! Since Noah was cheering for Caleb and I was cheering for Parker, it only made sense that I tackled Noah and fight him while Caleb and Parker were battling it out.

It all kind of got out of hand when Noah and I started wrestling and Noah got visibly hard. His CK briefs, which were very brief indeed were tenting to the point that I was afraid if he made a wrong move his erection would pop out. We were now laughing, especially when Noah noticed the bulge in my black CK boxer briefs. As we were rolling around trying to escape being pinned by each other, I heard Noah whisper as he glanced at my erection.

"Mmm Carter, I remem..." I quickly put my hand over his mouth and whispered in his ear "Shhh, they don't need to hear that." As my sweaty chest was pressed on his back and my left hip was touching his right hip. I pressed down on him as he nodded in agreement.

Just then the doorbell rang.

The pizza delivery guy was here.

All four of us were sweaty, laughing, and basically naked save our socks and underwear. So with me in my boxer briefs, Noah in his CK micro briefs that weren't hiding anything, Caleb in his tighty-whitey CK's, and Parker in his revealing gray Old Navy boxer briefs, we all answered the door.

Sure enough, 90210 guy Dylan the pizza guy was standing there holding the insulated, steaming pizza carrier.

"Order for Nelson?"

"Yes, come in out of the cold." Parker invited him in.

He didn't say much, but if his eyes could talk, they would have confessed everything.

Parker handed him three -- twenty dollar bills and Dylan fished around in his left jeans pocked for change, Parker told him to keep the change. It was obvious that Dylan 90210 the pizza guy was either carrying a water bottle in his pocket or he was quite happy to be there with us. He told us thanks and to enjoy the pizza and each other. I think he realized he didn't want to say that as he looked over at Noah hanging off of Caleb's right shoulder.

"Thank you, sir, we will!" Noah replied with his best gay voice. We all started to giggle and Dylan 90210 just blushed and quickly left the house. We all laughed and couldn't wait to get back downstairs to put some clothes on and eat pizza.

We decided to watch some Netflix, specifically the last couple of episodes of "Heartstopper" while we ate the pizza. Then we played some video games. Now completely full and getting a little tired, Parker lowered the lights to the room and suggested that we get in the hot tub. Since we'd told the guys to bring their suits, we all changed into them before getting in the hot tub.

This is where it started to get...interesting.

At first each of us sat in one of the four corners of the hot tub. We were listening to some pop music channel on the Bluetooth stereo system. The water felt great, and everything that had transpired that afternoon made this day quite memorable.

"Oh man Parker, this is awesome. The water and the jets feel so freakin' good." Caleb remarked. "You're so lucky to have one of these in your basement, dude!"

"Yeah, I know, I try to not take it for granted. At first Mom and Dad used it, then it was just me, then it was just me and Carter." He explained.

"Ooh Carter! Aren't you lucky too!" Noah chimed in. "So, I have to ask, if I can. But how is it in here doing... you know..."

We both just laughed.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Parker responded.

"Me neither!" I added, looking up at the ceiling of the basement, with a smug grin on my face.

"Oh, come on..." Caleb added. "Seriously?"

We both looked at each other and just smiled. Parker nodded at me with his head, inviting me to his corner. Boldly, I floated across the tub and moved in close to him, essentially sitting on his lap, laying back into his arms. I could feel him totally hard against my butt. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me gently on my neck.

I don't know how he did it, but he found a way to get my suit off, and smoothly put it across the edge of the tub. I raised up far enough so he could do the same. We both smiled as I laid back down on his lap, now feeling his firmness against me. We both looked first at Caleb, then at Noah.

With a sly grin on his face, Parker challenged Noah to follow our lead. "Why don't you find out?"

Both were a step ahead of us as they each put their suits on the edge of the tub, following our moves.

Noah was now sitting on Caleb's lap, leaning back while Caleb began kissing his neck. We noticed Caleb's hands moving around, and soon they emerged from the soapy foaming water to touch Noah's chest, which caused Noah to moan.

I knew what Parker wanted, as this obviously wasn't our first time in the tub. I raised up far enough to take him in. As I looked forward at Noah and Caleb, they knew by the look on my face what was happening.

When Parker's hands found me, his touch didn't take long, which caused the chain reaction effect for him. Both of us were now euphoric, and we noticed that Noah was about at the same point. And just like us, they did the same. The look on Caleb's face was priceless, and Noah's was just as memorable.

Parker and I put our suits back on, as did Noah and Caleb. It was just after midnight now and we were all getting tired.

As we got out and toweled off, I could tell that we were all pretty much still, you know, in the mood. So, we then told Noah and Caleb that they could sleep on the bed down here and use the shower however they would like. He put two extra clean towels out for them while I turned the music off and covered the hot tub.

We went upstairs, showered quickly and within fifteen minutes were under the covers in Parker's bed.

Of course, we didn't fall asleep. Just as we'd done in the past, we came at the same time in each other's mouth, then it was my turn to be in him. Just for good measure, we switched, and it was his turn. Then we took another quick shower before we fell asleep, my back up to Parker's chest, his arms wrapped around me. The last thing I remember was his kisses on my neck, whispering in my ear how much he loved me.

We woke up the following morning to the sound of the shower going downstairs. Twenty minutes or so later, Caleb and Noah came upstairs hand in hand, grinning from ear to ear. "Good morning, lovelies" Noah greeted us as we walked out into the kitchen. He came over, hugged both of us and gave us each a peck on our cheeks. He looked like he was walking a little strange, but it was obvious that he was in a great mood. Caleb was smiling from ear to ear.

"What a great day, huh guys?" We just looked at each other and Parker jokingly told them both "Can I have some of what you guys are drinking?" Noah laughed an evil laugh. "Oh no boys, we're not sharing!" We just laughed.

Instead of eating breakfast at Parker's house, Caleb offered to buy us bagels, so of course before we dropped them off at their respective houses, we stopped at the bagel place for bagels and venti sized coffees for each of us.

We were in the corner of the restaurant where it was relatively quiet. Caleb had gone to use the restroom. I asked Noah how his night was with Caleb. He held his hands up, as if to be waving hi and giving us the peace sign. After he swallowed his bagel and saw the perplexed look on our faces, he shook his head and said "Count my fingers. Seven fingers, seven times! That energizer bunny's got nothing on him! Damn! And he took care of my needs seven times too! Wow!"

About that time Caleb came out of the bathroom with a tired grin on his face.

"What? What did I do?" he asked as we just glared at him.

"You STUD!" Parker exclaimed, and I just burst out laughing. Noah then surprised us both with his comment.

"Can we come back next weekend for another sleep over?"

We both laughed and told him that they were welcome over anytime. Especially if they bought pizza. We all laughed, and then Caleb's comment made us laugh even harder.

"Do you think Dylan 90210 the pizza guy got as much action as we did?"

"Heck no!" we emphatically answered.

After dropping both of them off at their houses, we came back to my house so Parker could drop me off.

"Seven times! Can you believe that?" Parker exclaimed as we sat in his car before I got out.

"Yeah, I mean as horny as Caleb is all of the time, I can imagine it. The dude walks around the locker room always with a hard on! But hey, we've done it that many times too, right?"

"You're right. And now I could keep it going again, you know. Is your mom home?"

Since she wasn't, we went in my room and locked the door.

Our total for the weekend was twice as much as their one night total. Damn.

And oh yeah, to be young. Insert a smiley face emoji here, LOL).

The next two weeks flew by. Before we knew it, the day I had been dreading for the past month was here. I had a fair amount of trouble falling to sleep the night before and it wasn't until I literally took matters into my own hand and covered my belly with the first load since the sleepover weekend that I fell asleep.

In fact, it was the first time that I'd jerked off in quite a while.

When I did finally fall asleep, my dreams were polluted by images of what my imagination thought he would look like, and what he was going to say to me. My imagination also ran wild with my response or initial conversation I would have with him.

"I hate you, you cowardly motherfucker!" I yelled as I walked in the room. He was seated across the room in a stale green cushioned chair with his shackled hands fastened to a small bolt that was fastened to the pale gray metal table that had seen its share of coffee cup stains over the years. "How fucking pompous of you making me come down here before you will sign off on the adoption papers. Get a fucking life, you fucking moron!"

Fear came across his pale, round face as his smile quickly faded when I walked in the room. He said nothing in response, so I continued.

"You're a piss poor excuse for a father and I never want to see your sorry ass again. Thanks for fucking up my life and my mom's life as well. And thanks for nothing. I hope you rot in jail." I screamed with the meanest voice I'd ever known.

I just glared at him now, his short cropped sandy brown hair mixed with gray trying to cover the furrows in his forehead. His eyes suddenly spoke of regret and sorrow saying more than the words that refused to come out of his mouth. As my death stare broke with his, I noticed a tear forming in the corner of his right eye.

"Oh, now you see how it feels. Well fuck you, `da.., er rather sperm donor. Just sign the paper so you will never see me again, and then I can know how it is to have a real man as my dad." I turned around, walked out of the room, slamming the natural stained oak door so hard the noise echoed and reverbed down the hallway of the stale, cold office building.

I woke up in a cold sweat in my bed. It was five o clock in the morning, and it felt like I'd only had been asleep for ten minutes. Thankfully, I realized that I'd just had a really bad dream and that I had about another hour of sleep before I had to get up.

That hour felt like a minute as I fell back asleep just as quickly as I had awoken from the nightmare.

Since my tight abs were sticky with my mess from earlier, I gathered a clean pair of CK boxer briefs, my black and orange sweats, black socks, a Harlem swim t-shirt and my black Nike slides and headed into the shower.

The hot water of the shower felt great, and thoughts of the last shower Parker and I took together, coupled with what transpired at his house the night of the sleepover had me rock hard again, and only my inner strength to preserve my energy for the swim meet and the ice cold water that I quickly turned up prevented me from painting the wall of the shower with my seed.

Mom had my usual eggs and waffles breakfast ready for me, and I ate quickly not really saying much. We both sensed the elephant in the room that was the drive to Bloomington later, and at least for me I felt like my future well-being was hanging in the air, dependent upon today's outcome.

"Don't worry, amor, everything will be fine. You will do great, and soon it will be all over." She tried to get me to feel relaxed, but I was still nervous.

"Gracias, Mama." I struggled to mumble the reply.

Fortunately, we didn't have to pick Caleb up, since his mom was going to bring him to the meet. Parker's wrestling meet was in Belvidere, about fifteen miles east of here, so he was already on his way. He did plan on going with us to Bloomington, providing his meet ended in time.

When I got to school Caleb and I walked into the locker room together.

"Hey Carter, what's the word?"

"Sup, Caleb. Ready to break some records today?"

"You know it! You good today bro?" We both knew what he meant.

"Good as I'm gonna be. I'm just going to be glad when we're on our way back home from Bloomington." I told him as we started getting our clothes off and into our swim trunks. Caleb sensed the nervousness in my voice.

"Bro, It's going to go well. You're gonna do well." I shook my head in disagreement and told him about my dream. He burst out laughing. "Seriously bro, you said those exact words in your dream? I didn't know you even knew how to swear!"

We both laughed, and as Angelo walked by, he laughed at Caleb's usual condition and commented "Okay ladies, two minutes until poolside, so let's get moving. Caleb, cold shower time to tame the beast!"

It was good to have a laugh, and it did help lighten my mood enough that I did finish first in my race, and Caleb finished first in his.

After the meet, we met our moms near the pool entrance. Noah was with them, and when we came out of the locker room, all three gave us both hugs and congratulated us on our wins. It was so cool!

What was even cooler yet was that Caleb's mom was going to take him and Noah out to lunch and then drop them off at the movies. It seems that after the double date night when we went to the movies turned out to be a lot of fun for those two, so it was now a great thing for them to do.

Mom and I went home to wait for Parker to get home from his meet so John could pick him up on the way to pick us up. We didn't have to wait long, thankfully, and within an hour we were heading down Interstate 39 towards Bloomington, with an ETA of fifteen minutes before three, giving us forty-five minutes until I would have my meeting with Him.

The hour and forty-five minute ride from Rockford to Bloomington was relatively boring other than driving across the long bridge over the Illinois River. I was surprised at just how flat that part of Illinois really is, and it was funny how I couldn't help but notice the signs announcing upcoming towns along the exits. One that I saw seemed to make me laugh as I said to everyone in the car, "Henry Streator Exit one mile". I laughed, and asked "Who's Henry Streator?"

No one answered my question.

When we went past an exit for a town called El Paso, of course I had to ask "Whoa, are we in Texas?"

No one responded.

I guess my nervousness had everyone thinking I was losing my mind. Perhaps it was the truth?

But I was getting very nervous.

As we exited the interstate and were now driving into the city limits of Bloomington, I tried to control my breathing. I was so afraid that I wouldn't be able to control my emotions. We pulled into the parking lot of the single story brown brick building with three separate sections: on the far right end was a small laundromat that had four cars parked out front. Steam rose from the vents on the right side and the windows were all fogged up on the inside. In the middle building there was like a small appliance/shoe repair place that was closed. And finally on the left was a small cafe place, called Sue's Diner.

Since there were three cars out front, I figured that he must be there. I almost felt like I was going to hyperventilate, but then Parker squeezed my hand gently and whispered in my ear "Babe, you got this." and he kissed me on my left cheek. But what calmed me down the most was remembering Caleb's remarks about my dream. I laughed out loud, and now everyone in the car asked me what was so funny.

"I'll tell you when I come back out." I said, still smiling.

Mom had called the officer from the agency that was going to supervise the meeting, and she said she would come to the door and then take me in to meet him. While I was in the meeting, Mom, John, and Parker told me that they were going to the shopping center a few blocks down the street. The counselor would then call Mom when we were done. Sure enough, as I stepped out of the car and my wobbly legs held me up on the frozen blacktopped surface of the diner's parking lot, a heavy set short lady with long gray hair and dark rimmed glasses that made her look more like an elementary teacher or someone's grandma opened the door to the diner and offered for me to come in.

"Hello, I'm Nancy, from the Department of Children and Family Services. You must be Carter, correct? Carter Angel Michaels to be exact, right? She pronounced my middle name like most Americans do - Ain-Jel - but I thought it wouldn't be polite to correct her.

"You're here to meet Christopher J. Michaels, correct?"

"Yes." I replied quietly, glancing first across the room of the diner and then out to where the car had been parked, mentally noting that John, Mom, and Parker had already left.

"He just called to tell me he's running a little late and does apologize for that. So please come in and sit down." I was shivering mainly due to being nervous, but Nancy offered to buy me a hot chocolate which I accepted.

The waitress brought me a cup of machine made hot chocolate with a huge dollop of whipped cream on top moments later. We sat at a small table on the opposite side of the diner, with my back to the door. Nancy sat across from me and she just went over some ground rules for the visit while we waited for him to show up.

"First off, this is meant to be a casual conversation, but you do not have to tell him anything that you do not want to divulge. I know you might have a million things and questions going through your mind, as well as a lot of anger. I completely understand, okay?" I nodded my head.

"Since he requested this meeting, I suggest you let him talk first and listen to what he has to say. I have spoken with him earlier in the week, and this is not easy for him, as he's very remorseful for his past. But you don't have to feel sorry for him." I nodded my head again, slowly taking a sip from the hot chocolate.

"I know that the only reason you agreed to this meeting is because of your mom's fiancé's petition to adopt you, correct?" This time I squeaked out a tiny "yes" in response.

"That's fine, I am sure you're concerned and will not do or say anything to keep your real father from signing off the form. Your mom's fiancé must be a wonderful man. I'm very happy for you all." I smiled and told her that John has truly been my hero and savior in the past year of my life. I then was relaxing a bit as I told her about how he's been there for me and what he's been doing for me and Mom.

"That's awesome young man. I'm going to pray that it all works out for you." She looked at the door as the small brass bell chimed as the door opened up. It wasn't him, but rather an older couple that slowly shuffled in and sat at one of the booths across the diner. Seconds after they sat down the bell rang again, and Nancy said, "Christopher is here." Immediately my pulse rate shot up through the roof. As his footsteps got closer in my mind's eye, I was prepared to see the image of the man in the dream I had the night before. But instead...

... he looked nothing like him.

With straight blonde hair that was collar length and parted in the middle, it was easy to see that his blue eyes held a ton of sadness. Wearing a faded and somewhat dirty beige Carhartt jacket and faded Levi's, his blue and gray flannel shirt was loosely tucked into his jeans.

He looked thin, tired, worn, and smelled faintly of an old cologne and cigarette smoke. As he cleared his throat to speak, a smallish hand, that was almost exactly the size and shape of my mine, reached out as he offered to shake my hand.

"Hello Carter, I- I'm Chris Michaels, y-your father." A faint smile formed after he spoke, his voice shaky with probably as much nervousness as mine would be.

My palm was wet with sweat, but tentatively and cautiously in what felt like it took an hour for my hand to reach his, we shook hands as Nancy offered him the seat across from me.

Nancy spoke next.

"Okay Chris, we are here today because of your request to meet with Carter. While I'm not saying that this has to be a formal type meeting, I suggest that we just say what we need to say and try to wrap this up in a reasonable time frame, okay? I will only intercede if I feel like I need to keep the conversation under control."

We both nodded our heads at the same time and then looked at Nancy.

"Chris, go ahead." He cleared his throat again. Nervously he began to speak what he'd more than likely rehearsed many times.

"Carter, I, um, want to say so much to you, my son, that, um I wish I could've said years ago. It, um, it's just that, um, I, I have made so many mistakes in my life that hurt myself, my family, your mom, you, and many others. I am deeply sorry and full of remorse for those mistakes I've made that came at your expense, with me not being there for you on all levels of your life. I made so many bad choices when I was younger, by hanging around with the wrong people and putting myself in situations where I gave in to the temptations of the devil himself."

He stopped to take a drink from the cup of ice water the waitress brought over after he had sat down.

"Little did I realize at that time just how badly my actions would affect my future, yours and your mom's as well."

Another drink of water, a deep breath before he continued.

"Since I had enough time to think about what I did while I was in prison, all I ever hoped that I could do was wait and hope that someday I would be grateful and fortunate enough to have this day to see what a fine young man you've become."

I just stared stoically ahead at him, practically sweating to death, my anxiety and nerves reaching all time high levels.

"I know because of my foolish mistakes and behaviors that I selfishly robbed you of a normal childhood with a loving father in your life."

My emotions were everywhere. I needed Parker, Mom, John and Michael here to hug me, to hold me, to tell me it would all be okay. I wanted to scream and yell at him, like I did in my dream. I was ready to explode. The anxiety meter inside me had gone long past the overflow point. He took another drink of water, a couple more deep breaths. Then he started to say what he wanted to say to me for years.

"Carter, my son, my only son. Because of my mistakes, my bad choices, my errors, I want you to know that with all of my heart and soul I want to apologize to you for all that I've done and not done for you. I can only pray that someday you will be able to forgive me and know that despite giving up my rights to you as your father, that I will always love you."

A tear formed in the corner of his now watery right eye and slowly crept down his face.

I was speechless.

I didn't know what to say.

So, despite having sixteen years to harbor nothing but anger and frustration and animosity towards this man who was responsible for my life, I somehow found the only three words to say that made sense.

"I forgive you."

Through his tears of disbelief and deep emotional gratitude he looked at me, our eyes met. A small faint smile formed, one that made me feel as if I was looking in mirror.

"Thank you, son. That means the world to me." Once again wiping his eyes, he reached into his jacket and pulled out a worn brown leather bifold wallet. He opened it up and pulled out a worn and tattered color photo. "I wanted to show you this picture that your mom took of me holding you at your baptism." I took the picture from him and almost burst into tears. He looked so young, with a huge smile on his face and it almost looked like I was smiling looking up at him. His smile and face gave me a glimpse of what I'd probably look like when I got older. He continued. "It was a happy day, and I've carried it with me everywhere I've gone, every day. I know it's probably hard for you to believe, but that picture helped me get through some very hard times in my life and made me realize those mistakes cost me a great deal. But with God's grace and forgiveness, I've survived. I will carry this with me until the day I die and will always love you. I can only take solace in knowing that you will have another man to love and care for you and provide you with what you need to grow into a wonderful man and father yourself."

There was a moment where once again I felt speechless as I held the worn picture of him holding me. I just smiled, handed it back to him and thanked him for showing it to me. And without really thinking about it too much and knowing that he had agreed to sign off on John's request to adopt me, knowing that in my mind I now had peace where there had been anger and hate, I offered the unexpected to him.

"If it's okay with Nancy, would you like to take an updated picture with me?" We both looked at Nancy, who cautiously shook her head in approval. We took off our jackets and stood next to each other as Nancy took a couple of pictures each with our phones.

"Thanks, Carter. This means the world to me. But rest assured, I will not interfere with you or your parents going forward. And if some point in the future when you become an adult, you'll know where to find me if you want."

"Thanks, Dad," I said without thinking or realizing what I had just called him. "Good luck to you in the future." I then told him.

He smiled and as he got ready to leave, he asked me for a hug. Nancy approved so we embraced, and he wished me all the best with my future as well. He thanked Nancy, put on his coat and headed to the door. He turned to look back, then smiled and we waved at each other before he walked away.

I felt a huge wave of relief and then an incredible sadness crash over me. I sat back down, and Nancy asked me if I was okay.

"Yeah, for the most part I am. I've just got a range of emotions going through me right now. This isn't what I expected." I admitted.

"Neither did I" Nancy exclaimed. You'd think that after so many years in this business, I'd have seen it all. But never have I seen a father be so remorseful as your father was, and never have I seen a child so accepting and forgiving as you. I commend you on having the ability to forgive and forget. You are an amazing young man!" I just smiled and thanked her, relieved that my worrying about this day was all for not.

Moments after Nancy called Mom, John's car pulled in the parking lot of the diner.

I thanked Nancy and walked out into the cold January early evening air. The sun had already set low in the southwestern sky, the sky had now turned a brilliant shade of orange as it followed the sun over the abyss, slowly being chased by the darkness of night.

I got in the backseat of John's car and welcomed the warmth of my family.

"How did everything go, mi amor?" Mom asked.

"Good." was all I really wanted to say at the moment. "He's agreed to sign off on his rights so I can be adopted by John!" Parker, Mom and John cheered as did I, although I felt a tinge of sorrow that I hid, of course.

As we got on the interstate heading back home John then suggested someplace for dinner.

Y'all hungry?" he asked, in a southern accent tone of voice. We all said yes, we were. "Well, y'all, how's about we go to El Paso, find us a saloon and git us some vittles?" in unison Parker and I said "mmmm vittles from El Paso! Yummy!!!

Indeed, we did find a pizza place that resembled an old western saloon, or at least an old western-type store -- high tiled ceiling, tall wooden booths, and wooden floors. Parker and I shared a pepperoni pizza, Mom and John shared a sausage and mushroom pizza. None of us talked about the meeting I had with my dad. Instead, we talked about our week ahead and about who we thought was going to win the super bowl, which would be in two weeks.

Of course, we were all pulling for the Packers. No one liked the other team, and clearly none of us liked the Bears, so it was perfect knowing they didn't even come close to making the playoffs . Dinner was finished rather quickly, and before long we were back on the interstate heading north. I was so tired that in seconds I was asleep and fell quickly into a dream. It was early fall, just after school started. We had a day off, oddly enough since the year had just started. Parker and I went out to Rock Cut and hiked the four and a half mile trail around the lake. The park was empty, seemingly like it was open just for us. We were almost three fourths of the way around the lake when a Dave Matthews Band tune came into my mind: Walk around the moon. I'm not sure why, but the opening part of the song kept playing over and over in my mind:

I had found a stranger walking in the woods

She was not quite like anyone I knew

Red dress, polka dots, shadows in her head

She said, "You take me and I take you there"

The part about the lady in a red dress didn't make much sense to me at the time, but the idea of meeting a stranger in the woods most certainly did.

At least he wasn't a stranger to me anymore.

I woke up just before we got to Parker's house. Parker gave me a quick kiss on my cheek and told me he'd pick me up in the morning. I nodded and sat back in the seat of the car, all content and dreaming.
