Title: Can't Love You - Part III By: Pearl Sanchez
"hey" someone said and I looked up to see this absolutely stunning girl. She held out her hand, "I'm Jaydyn."
I sat there returning her smile not realizing that I was still holding her hand. I let go when I saw her eyes move in the direction of our grasp. I grinned embarrassedly. She sat down.
"Are you a mute?" Jaydyn asked.
"oh" my smile got wider, "no"
"well, I still haven't heard your name."
"oh, well, that's because I don't tell strangers my name."
"but you do talk to them." She grinned.
"No, not usually."
" Then am I an exception?" Jaydyn said flashing another amazing smile. I looked down blushing and nervously played with my glass.
"how about dance, do you dance with strangers?"
"no!" I replied quickly and looked up, "no actually I don't"
Jaydyn laughed.
"Jaydyn Elizabeth McRoy..."
I looked up to see Sarah.
"Sarah! Hey!" Jaydyn got up and hugged Sarah.
Shane smiled, "I take it that you know each other"
"This is my cousin Jaydyn wow, I haven't seen you in weeks"
"yea, I know, who's the stud?"
Sarah grinned, "this is Shane"
"ah, so THIS is Shane."
Shane smiled, "Yep, in the flesh."
"I see you've met-" Sarah stopped in mid-sentence, with a realizing look on her face, "Jay..."
"what?" Jaydyn asked.
"Can I talk to you for a second?" Sarah asked in a warning tone.
"But wh-" Jaydyn began but stopped because of the look she received from Sarah, "ok"
Shane and I watched the two walk away and we shared a confused look. He shrugged and asked, "Having fun?"
I watched Jaydyn poke at her unwanted pieces chicken on her plate. As if she could feel my stare she looked up and our eyes locked. She smiled gently.
"I was just thinking of that night we first met."
"yeah," I giggled, "I was so nervous."
The smile on Jaydyn face slowly faded, "you were always so secretive."
I looked down.
"but," Jaydyn took my hand in hers, "no body knows you as well as I do."
