Now on with the story.
Bradley, Callum and Alexander had a little discussion over breakfast the next morning and decided how much they felt they could tell Dominic and Ben which was a good thing as they received a call shortly after they had finished eating from Dominic to arrange a time for the five of them to get together that morning. Bradley needed to buy some new shoes for school and so they arranged to meet in the food court of the local shopping precinct. This would be one meeting when none of them got any sexual gratification from the others as Dominic and Ben would have to go home from the precinct in order to be home in time to go with their mother to buy the things they needed to be ready to start school again the following week.
Sitting down in the food court, each with a burger, chips and drink, Dominic inadvertently revealed his curiosity when one of the first things that Dominic asked was for an account of the events that happened the previous day. Then he and Ben sat agog at hearing what they were told. Finally Bradley told them that there was more, but that they felt that it was up to David to choose how much he wanted to share with others and they felt that they needed to leave if for David to tell them, himself. Both Dominic and Ben could see that this was right so did not even try to push for more details.
"Shit, and I thought we had it bad. If you speak to David tell him that we're here for him and will help him in whatever way we can." Dominic said.
"Yeah, tell him we're still friends and we like him." Ben added. "It's a good job I've stopped using that sort of information against people or poor David would have been in for a bad time. But I'm glad I'm not going to be doing bad stuff anymore. I feel so much better for it."
"We'll tell him, but I'm not sure when we are going to see him again. Maybe not until school starts." Alexander said.
"Yeah, I guess there's not that much time left." Ben said sounding a little down.
"But it's okay. I quite like school." Alexander said.
"Shhh. Don't say that too loud or someone will bonk you on your head to try and knock some sense into you." Callum teased.
"Shut up. You also like school, so don't go giving me that." Alexander responded.
"Well I think the guys at school are still a bit scared of me." Ben said.
"We're not and we know you're not going to do that silly stuff anymore; the others will come around once they're sure you're not going to be mean to them." Alexander told Ben.
"And when they see that we're also being friendly towards you, they'll know you can't be that bad. After all it's only the good younger ones who get any attention from us older ones." Bradley tried to comfort Ben.
After Bradley had found the shoes he wanted the five of them caught the same bus home, with Dominic and Ben getting off one stop before Bradley, and then Bradley got off one stop before Callum and Alexander. Alexander was a little miffed at that because it meant he couldn't kiss Bradley goodbye.
When the two boys got home, Rose told Alexander that David had phoned and wanted Alexander to phone him back. Alexander dashed up the stairs to his room and sat down on his bed as he called the McAllister's land-line number up on his phone and tapped the screen to tell his mobile to make the call. It wasn't David who answered though but his father.
"Oh, hi, Mr. McAllister, I got a message that David wanted me to phone him." Alexander said.
"Yes he did, but before I call him, can you help me. After you boys tried to phone David, his mother destroyed his mobile phone. I'm going to get him a new one tomorrow but am not sure what type to get him. What do the others at school have?" Derwent asked.
"There are lots of different ones. Me and Callum both have the same, but Bradley's is different and so are Dominic's and Ben's. I think he might like to have the same as mine because then I can show him how it all works. I've got one of the middle range Samsungs which is better than the one David had." Alexander answered.
"Thank you. Do you think he'd like to choose his own, or should I bring it home as a surprise?" Derwent asked.
"Both. Let him choose it but don't let him know he's getting one till you're at the shop." Alexander suggested.
"Excellent. Thank you. And thank you for being David's friend. I think he's going to really need some true friends for a while at least." Derwent said.
"We were friends before this started and we'll be friends when it's all done with. The others have also said they're still his friends too." Alexander told him.
"That's so good to hear. Now hold on a bit and I'll call David." Derwent said. A few moments later Alexander could hear the muffled shouts of Derwent shouting up the stairs for David to come to the phone. Followed by a louder noise of David jumping down the stairs in his rush to get to the phone.
"Hi Al." David greeted Alexander.
"Hi Dave, how're you doing?" Alexander asked.
"I don't know. Dad's been really nice and he's told me that he and mum are getting a divorce. He also thinks that the courts will allow me to live with him and not mum. I hope so. I would have to run away again if I had to live with mum." David said.
"Surely they can't make you live with her. She's been arrested, hasn't she?"
"That doesn't make a lot of difference dad says. He says that in most cases the children are given to the mother to live with; but dad says he has got enough evidence to show that she is not suitable. But he says he can't promise me it will work out that way."
"Shit! That doesn't make sense to me." Alexander said.
"Nor me. But for now I'm more worried about school. How are the others at school going to treat me?"
"I don't know how much anyone else knows, but we're your friends and we know more than them and we'll be sticking up for you. Don't worry, we'll look after you."
"Who's we?"
"All of us. Me, Brad, Cal, Dom and Ben. We're all your friends and we'll all be doing what we can to help you. They've all said that and asked me to tell you they're going to be with you."
"You guys are so nice. I'm glad you asked me to be your friend." David said.
"You're nice too. That's why we're all friends. We all like each other and want what's best for all of us."
"Thanks. Hang on a moment. Dad's waving his arms at me." David said, and then took the mouthpiece away from his face while he found out what Derwent wanted. "Dad says he's going to take me shopping tomorrow to get what I need for school and wants to know if you want to come along too?"
Alexander immediately knew what was behind this and after checking with Rose responded, "Yeah, I'll come along. At least we can get to see each other before school starts then."
"Thank you. Apparently dad thinks you need to advise me on something." David said.
"Are you changing from briefs to boxers then?" Alexander teased.
"I don't think I need you to advise me on those." David responded.
"But I could be useful in the change room making sure they fit proper."
"I don't think you're allowed to try on underwear." David said, "But it could be fun in the change room if we are."
Needless to say, Alexander did not join David in any fitting rooms the next day, but when Derwent steered them into the mobile phone shop David almost broke into tears. When the initial surprise wore off he insisted on having a phone exactly like Alexander's and was even more excited to discover that the phone came already charged, and with the sim card inserted by the assistant, they were able to begin playing around with it on the ride home. Once they got home, Derwent asked them if they'd be alright if he left them for a couple of hours while he went to check on how Susan was doing. He wanted to make sure that Susan was not likely to be released soon and suddenly appear on the doorstep expecting a place to stay. David and Alexander assured him they would be okay and he left.
The two boys took all of David's shopping up to his room and then sat down on the bed adding more telephone numbers and names to David's new phone. Alexander used his own phone and texted Bradley telling him about David's phone and to expect a call in a few minutes. Before Alexander got David to phone Bradley he took him through how to choose his ringtones and set up the internet connection.
David practiced pulling up names which had been put into his phone book and then Alexander told him to try phoning Bradley. Forewarned Bradley was ready to accept the call and began a conversation with David. While they were still talking Alexander pushed David backwards so that he lay down on the bed and then without much finesse, Alexander opened David's jeans and began to rub his cock through his briefs. David made no objection and even lifted his bum when Alexander began to pull his jeans down. He did the same to make it easier for Alexander to pull his briefs down and then groaned as Alexander engulfed his hard cock with his mouth.
Bradley must have asked what he was groaning about because David said, "Your boyfriend's sucking my cock." On hearing that Alexander lifted his head letting David's cock slip out of his mouth and he grinned at David. Then David held out his new phone to Alexander, "Brad wants to have some words with you."
"Are you trying to get me jealous, Al?" Bradley asked.
"No ways! I just want David to feel good. He's had a pretty rough time of it lately you know." Alexander was teasingly sarcastic as he added the last sentence.
"Well I am jealous, but I also forgive you because I know you're not cheating on me and I would've been told about it before too long."
"You better believe it. No secrets between us."
"Open and honest. Now, you'd better get back to sucking that cock before David gets all soft. I'll see you soon. Remember I love you."
"Not as much as I love you. See ya!" Alexander got in the last word because he handed the phone back to David who had a little bit more of a chat with Bradley who assured him that he would be under their care at school and then he ended the call before he got too emotional.
"You guys are bad, you know!" David told Alexander who looked up at him without taking his mouth off of David's cock. David could see the question in Alexander's face and answered it. "You're all so nice you make me cry."
Alexander let his cock slip out of his mouth again and replied, "You'll get used to us and then we won't seem to be that nice, just normal."
"I don't think that could happen. I think I'm always going to think you're all nice." David said.
Silence ruled for a short while as Alexander continued to bob up and down on David's cock, using lip covered teeth to push his foreskin back so that he could use his tongue to play with the more sensitive bell end. David lay back, his mobile phone still clasped in the one hand but with a blank screen because it had timed out. His other hand spread out to put him in a crucifix stance. Alexander had pulled David's shirt up a bit to give him a bit easier access to David's nipples which he was titillating between times spent caressing David's balls and massaging his perineum with an occasional foray over David's pucker. David hadn't had a chance to get any of this sort of action in for several days and all the attention from Alexander was raising him to new heights. His groans began to grow in frequency and volume and he unconsciously began to thrust his hips in an instinctive manner trying to gain as much depth as he could. The primal urge to deposit your semen as deep into the vagina as possible to ensure the best chance of successful fertilisation. Somehow the conscious knowledge that he did not have his cock buried in a pussy did not register with that instinctive need for procreation. Even the knowledge that what he could produce was not likely to be viable did not deter the animalistic action and with a sudden harder thrust David arched his body and shot out his offering directly into Alexander's mouth. There followed several smaller jerks that did not allow his bum to settle back onto the bed but still pulsed through his cock a few more dribbles and then dry shots as he experienced one of the longest orgasms he had so far enjoyed. With one final hard grunt and a dry thrust David's mid-section fell back onto the bed with Alexander following him down and managing to keep his mouth over David's cock. He licked the cock for a bit longer until David asked him to stop and then slowly drew his mouth upwards while maintaining a strong suction so that when David's cock finally left Alexander's mouth his foreskin was pulled as far forward as it could get over his still solidly hard cock.
David lay panting for a few moments and then gasped, "Wow! ... that was so, so good ... thank you."
Alexander didn't try to pull David's shirt down or his jeans up. Instead leaving him with a naked middle, Alexander moved up the bed to get his head next to David's and lay with his friend in silence. After several minutes, with his breathing back to normal David asked Alexander if he wanted David to suck him off.
"Nah, I wanted to do that for you to show you that you're special and our friend. Besides which, your dad might be home soon and it would be worse to start and then have to stop before it's finished than to not start at all." Alexander declined his offer. What he didn't tell David was that he wanted to save himself in the hopes that he and Bradley would get a chance to be together the next day. As it was, the chances were that with his inexperience, David would not have got him off before Derwent returned.
Derwent reported that Susan was not responding well and that to try and get her calmed down, they had had to sedate her heavily.
"What does that mean?" David asked.
"Well, your mother has had what they call a breakdown and in that has become a bit violent. That's why she threw the stone at Alexander's front door. So to try and help her get back to being normal they have given her some medication that is supposed to calm her down. That medication did not work the way they wanted it to and she has continued to be a problem with them. So now they have given her stronger medication which basically makes her sleep. They will keep her sleeping for at least a week and then slowly wake her up. The hope is that as she sleeps her mind will relax and when she is woken up she will be better. But she will be kept in the hospital for some time yet so that they can observe her and treat her." Derwent explained. David nodded his head but still kept a confused expression on his face. Derwent decided he needed to let it rest there and wait for David to ask the next question once he had had a chance to think about what he had just been told.
What Derwent had not told his son was that Susan had got violent as they were trying to get her out of the police car and she had kicked one of the officers in the groin hard enough to cause a rupture. Then at the hospital she had got violent again and tried to strangle one of the orderlies. She might have killed her if there had not been other staff around to restrain her. So not only was she sedated she was also immobilised and probably facing further charges which might see her put away in a psychiatric unit for some time.
Derwent then said he would take Alexander home as he wanted to speak to John about getting his door fixed. This again was not exactly true as people from his work had already been out and measured the door to replace it. Derwent just needed someone that he could talk to and felt that John was one person who could fill that need. When John realised what Derwent wanted he stopped him and went to speak to Rose and then offered to take Derwent off to the pub for a drink. When John told him how the others wanted to include him and David in their monthly socials he almost wept, as David had, commenting on how kind they all were. John also assured Derwent that they were all available to be called on in times of need and that he would gladly let Derwent talk things over with him if he wanted to. They only had one beer each because both of them needed to drive that evening, but they stretched their time together to over two hours.
Rose, in the meantime, got the tea ready and when John and Derwent hadn't returned she gave the three boys their food and waited for the adults to return to eat with them. It was gone nine o'clock before the three adults finished their meal and David was clearly struggling to stay awake. Derwent noticed this and said that he had better get David home and left shortly after they had finished their meal; offering a lot of thanks for their friendship and hospitality.
On their way home Derwent said, "You chose a good family to become friends with David. I'm so proud of you and how strong you've been in this. Let them help you now because you will need it. Don't try to be too strong and self-sufficient. I need it too, that's why John and I went out together. He took me someplace where we could talk and he could just listen to me and give me some friendship."
"Actually dad, the guys have already told me that they will be with me. I was worried about what it would be like when I go back to school but they've said they will help anyway they can."
"Who do you mean by `the guys'?" Derwent asked.
"All of them, Al, Cal, Brad, Dom and even Ben. Ben told Al to tell me that he likes me and wants us to be good friends." Alexander had embellished what Ben had said, but not without reason.
When they got home Derwent suggested that David go straight to bed especially as they would need to work together to make sure the house was right before school began and Derwent had to go back to work. He had taken some compassionate leave when the trouble all started but that now was running out. This did drive home to David that he would soon have to face the other pupils at school and despite the assurances from Alexander and Bradley the nerves began to set in again. "What am I going to do if the guys all start having a go at me because my mum's gone bad?" He asked his father as they hugged each other.
"Son, if they know anything, it won't be that much and I'm sure with the help of Alex and your other friends they will soon be stopped. Just try not to fight back with words or anything else. If you can ignore them and not rise to their bait, they'll stop trying because the only fun they see is in seeing it get to you. It will be hard, I know, but just try your best and let your friends be your friends." Derwent advised him.
"I don't know if I can, but I'll try. Night dad, and thanks for everything today."
"Goodnight David, remember I love you very much and nothing can ever change that."
"Love you too dad." David went up the stairs slowly. Once in his room, he stripped off and knowing that his mother would not be there to punish him for it, he opted to sleep naked for the first time in his own home." He climbed into bed and then picking up his mobile he sent a quick text to Alexander thanking him for helping him with his phone and wishing him a good night.
A few moments later he got a reply that simply said, "That's what friends are for. Night, night."
The boys only had one more day of freedom left before school started and over breakfast Callum told Alexander to phone Bradley and see if the two of them could get together. Callum insisted that he wanted them to have the time alone together because getting that time once school started would much harder.
Alexander took Callum's offer and called Bradley. He finished his conversation and went into Callum's room and gave his older brother a big hug. "You're a very special brother and I love you. I'm going round to Brad's place so I'll see you later."
"Have fun and tell Brad I say hi." Callum responded returning the hug. Once Alexander was on his way, Callum got all his stuff ready for school and laid out his uniform for the next day. He was just about to climb on his bed with his laptop to play a game of patience when his father tapped on the open door. "Hi dad, come on in."
"Thanks Cal. I was wondering if you'd like to go out somewhere with me. I know Alex has gone over to Brad and your mother wants to do some baking and cooking to have some stuff in freezer for emergencies like she always does and so has asked me to amuse myself for the day. Which means stay out of her way." John said.
"Where were you thinking of?" Callum asked.
"I've no idea. Anywhere where we can't be diverted to go to the grocery store to buy something for whatever your mum is going to be doing in the kitchen."
"How energetic do you feel?" Callum asked.
"Not very. Why what're you thinking of?" John asked.
"I was thinking of a stroll around Hatfield Forest. That's not so far away and one of the guys at school said it is a nice peaceful place to go." Callum said.
"Okay, I think my energy levels can cope with that. Let's tell your mum and get on our way."
They paid their entrance and then drove around and parked up near the tea room, but agreed that they would go for a walk first before getting anything from the tea room. For the next two or so hours the two walked along paths and picked their way through wild woodland talking about anything that came into their heads. John allowed Callum to talk about things he had got up to with the other boys, but was very careful not to probe, and Callum was very careful not to go into any real detail. As they neared the tearoom having walked in a large circle Callum raised the issue of what they might find when they got to school the next day.
"I'm going to tell you the same thing I advised Derwent to tell David to do. Try to ignore them. Most of them will only find it amusing if they can get you to react to their taunting; if they don't get the reaction they expect they will soon give up. The same goes for helping David if he is getting set on by others. Help him to ignore them. Turn him around and walk him away from the ones who are being mean to him. It might be hard to do that, but it will be best way of overcoming them. If any start attacking you physically defend yourself, but try not to fight back. You want to keep Amos Crowther on your side. Let the CCTV cameras talk for you. There are a lot of them around the school and try to make sure you are in their line of site. Now, a cup of tea or a cool drink?"
"A cold drink of anything sounds just right, thanks." Callum said.
They got their drinks and moved to a table where they were away from others so that they could continue their conversation without being overheard. "We've talked about a lot of things today, Cal, but we have not discussed how you feel about your best friend and your little brother being a couple."
"Dad, I don't have much of a problem with it. I mean, I'm very happy for them and want them to be happy with themselves. They definitely love each other and the upset that started all that with David's mum going off was because they told us they had agreed to not fuck until they got married. Going by what I've heard since, I think this was on the back of something you said to Al and a similar thing Colin told Brad. I think that's great for them. The one thing though is the guilt we all feel. When Brad and Al are alone together they feel a bit of guilt that they are cutting us out of their relationship and I feel guilty that they are not getting enough alone time." Callum explained.
"Well first off, that's good guilt. But it's unreasonable guilt because none of you need to feel guilty over something like that. However, that does not mean you can suddenly just be rid of those feelings. It will take time to work through them but as Brad and Alex's relationship grows they will find it not only easier, but necessary to take more alone time away from the group time. Just as when any of you others get a partner will find it. If Brad and Alex do eventually get married or move in together they will get a lot more alone time but right now when they are still with their respective families that's a bit harder. The difficulty in the present situation is finding that balance where they can get enough quality time alone together and still have enough time with their friends. And only they can work that out for themselves. The best support the rest of you can do is to let them know you want them to have the alone time they need and that it will not diminish your friendship with them."
"Thanks dad. Al and I are so lucky to have a wise old man who can advise us so well. When we get home, I'm going to email the others with that advice about trying to ignore any taunts and make sure we are in site of a camera as much as possible."
"Easy on that old man bit, you cheeky one. I reckon I could still get the better of you at some things." John said playfully.
"That's only because you have had so many more years to learn all the sneaky tricks." Callum countered.
"I see. So now the truth in what you really think of your father is starting to come out. Have you managed to get enough exercise for yourself today?" John asked.
"Not really. I mean our walk hardly pushed us, did it?"
"So how long do you think it will take you to walk home from here? That should give you enough exercise then."
"So now to win an argument you resort to veiled threats do you?" Callum countered.
"Keep up the cheek and it might not be so veiled a threat; you can't hide reality."
"Yeah, okay, I know how this power thing works. You take your victim out somewhere which puts them in a position that they are reliant on your good will and then threaten them with consequences if they don't accede to your demands. Do you think mum will have finished her cooking?"
"Possibly, but I'm not sure about all the washing up." John said.
"Oh dear, so I have to be subjected to more of your dominance yet."
"No. I recognise that in some things we are equals. And in some things I'm still the one in charge and you're the one who has to obey. But I'm not a dictator and there is room for negotiation. But most importantly of all, there is a lot of love that bridges over a lot of troubled water. We have recently been on one of those bridges and there will be more, but we will cross them together. Come on, let's start heading home." John said.
The two hadn't talked about anything in any great depth, but they had bonded even more and both knew that they loved the other in a way that gave them a confidence in each other and the knowledge that the relationship they enjoyed was something very special and something to be nurtured. Both man and boy arrived home much more at peace with themselves and encouraged to face the future with confidence knowing the other would be there for them in whatever way they could. Callum discovered that he now felt at peace about going back to school the next day. He couldn't change what news might have got out, but he could affect how it was reacted to and he knew that his father's advice was the way to go. While he waited for the meal to be ready he fired up his laptop and sent off emails to the other four including Alexander telling them of his talk with his dad and the advice he had been given.
