Broken Facades By Alex Bright Chapter 16 Revelations

Alex

"WHAT? That's Blackmail!"

"Call it what you want Alex. I call it assurance that you won't get into anymore trouble."

"Mike that's not fair. You can't do this to me."

"Actually I can and I just did. And your Mom agrees with me on this plan of action."

"SHE WHAT?"

"She is totally for the idea of you playing soccer for the high school."

"You can't make me play."

"Well it's play or be suspended, and remember if you get kicked out of school again, you won't graduate."

"I can't believe you're doing this to me! It's not fair!"

"You're lucky you're even getting this chance after the stunt you pulled this morning. I had to fight for you again after what you did. You're so lucky Tony isn't pressing charges."

"Me? He and his buddies beat the crap out of Brad, and I get shit."

"Watch your mouth! First, if he and his friends did beat up Brad then Brad should have said something, Secondly, you can't take the law into your own hands." He gathered up his books. " I expect to see you on the field at three."

"I won't be there," I said to him. He just smiled and walked out of the room.

Alisa

The walk to first period, and in fact the entire first, second and third period was all a blur. It felt like I was on cloud 9. I don't remember anything that happened from the moment I finally got to kiss him until now. Although I do remember hearing my so-called friends saying something about me doing something stupid, but all I know is I kissed him. I finally kissed Bradley Theodore James Westrick.

"Alisa!" When I heard that voice I suddenly feel like I was falling from cloud 9. I turned around to see Blake.

"Tell me you didn't do what Marissa and Meagan said you did."

"Blake, what are you talking about?"

"I knew it," he said as he pulled me into a hug." I know it couldn't be true and that Marissa was just making it up."

"Blake, what are you doing? Let go of me." I said as I pushed away him away.

"Look, I'm sorry for what I said the other day. I want to start over. I'm sorry for what I said about Justin, and I'm cool with him taking you to the dance."

"Yea, well I sort of changed my mind. I'm not going to the dance with Justin," I said smiling.

"You're not? Oh thank you," he said, pulling me into a hug again. "Thank you for giving me another chance."

"Blake, what are you talking about?" I struggled to pull myself from his hug. "I'm not going to the dance with you, I'm going with Brad."

"You're going with who? "He asked as he pulled away from me.

"I'm going with Brad Westrick."

"You're going to the dance with, with Brad? Alisa you'd rather go to the dance with, with, with....that fag than go with me?"

"First off Brad's not gay. Second, even if he was he'd be a better date than you any day."

"You're such a bitch! What, am I to much man for you ...or maybe you just don't like guys?"

"Whatever," I told him as I turned to walk away. Suddenly he grabbed me.

"Don't walk away from me you bitch! I 'm not done with you."

"Ouch, Blake let go of me." Suddenly, as I looked into his eyes I realized why I had always been cautious around him.

"You're such a fucking tease! You and your friends walk around here like you own the place. If it wasn't for guys like me, you bitches wouldn't have any money."

"Blake you let go of me now..."

"And what if I don't?"

Suddenly a voice came out of nowhere. "Then I'll have to kick your ass." As he let go of me he turned around to see who had spoken.

"Brad," I said, smiling with relief.

"Faggot! What the fuck are you going to do?"

"Me? I'm not going to do anything but watch my friend kick your ass."

"What, your boyfriend Alex?"

"Ah nope, my best friend... Justin."

As he turned around Justin grabbed him. "Hey, Blake is it? He put him in a headlock and spun him around into a full nelson, then turned him to face Brad.

"Now say you're sorry to my best friend for calling him that really bad name."

"I'm sorry."

"Louder"

"I'M SORRY!"

"No problem, dude." Brad said with a smile. Then he turned him to face me.

"Now say your sorry to the pretty lady."

"I'm Sorry."

"If I ever catch you touching her again, or even looking at her again, I'll make you wish you never came to this school." Then Justin pushed him away. As he fell to the ground with a thud, he just looked back at us. I knew I would have to watch my back and Brad's too.

"Are you alright?" Justin asked Brad with a look of concern on his face

"Yea" Brad said with a huge smile on his face.

Justin then turned and asked me the same question, "Are you ok, too? Did he hurt you?"

"Yea I'm ok, no he didn't hurt me thanks. I thought I told you to meet us in the lunch room."

"I was going to, but after the looks I saw you and Brad getting, I kind of figured that Brad may need some back up," Justin said.

"Na, I was just about to take him when you showed up. I thought you would have more fun," Brad said.

"I'm just glad you both showed up," I said.

"I just glad it was you that showed up and not Alex. I don't think he would have showed the restraint that you did," Brad said, now smiling at Justin and rubbing his arm. Justin turned bright red as he started to blush.

"No problem, I should have been there for you before. I'm just trying to make up lost time," Justin says as he put his arm around Brad's shoulders and I put my arm around Brad's waist. As we continued to walk to lunch, my hand slowly slipped from around his waist and into Brad's hand. As it did he looked at me, and a smile came to his face as he tightened his grip on my hand.

Alex

Slam was all I heard as I threw my backpack onto the table. I couldn't believe this was happening to me. What else could go wrong?

"What's the matter O, I'm sorry Fag. Did you have a fight with boyfriend?" one voice chided.

"If it wasn't for football you'd be a dead faggot, right now," the other voice said.

As I turned around I faced my worst nightmare. JC and Tony united. Suddenly I thought back to a saying I once heard. Something about one's enemy being another's enemy's friend.
