His night with Al had been hot - VERY hot. But Jay kept on finding his mind going to how it would have been with Brice. If Al knew that, he didn't say anything, when he wasn't gagged. In the morning, they kissed, Al went off to work, and a little bit later, so did Jay.
Jay had decided to immerse himself in work he really didn't need to do anymore. Mind numbing, repetitive, document review. He asked one of the other paralegals on the case to bring him all of the documents in Italian. He began to pore through them. In a way, he felt good doing it. He was so involved, that he almost didn't hear his phone ring.
"PRONTO," he answered, then realizing what he had done, followed with "mi dispiace" and then started to laugh. "I'm sorry. This is Jay. How can I help you?""Jay, it's Mel. And I DO remember when you and Loretta used to throw those words around the apartment. Although the one I remember the most is 'moda' - fashion, right?" Jay began to laugh harder. "OH, my. The good old days. You may be hearing it again, Mel. Loretta and I have an agreement to start again. ""Well, maybe I will join you this time" said Mel."Mel, by the way, I apologize for not calling right away. Thank you for that dinner. I had a wonderful time. You know I love Mel Junior dearly, and I don't see enough of Ahmed. And Loretta, well, please tell her I send baci for my sorellina." Mel began to laugh. "Having the two of you together is NOT good for the world."
There was a pause. Mel continued "Jay, I heard what happened afterwards, and I feel like I owe you an apology?"Jay responded "An apology? For what?""Well, for not telling you about the situation with Brice. How he was getting the promotion"Jay paused "Mel, please. There is no need to apologize to ME for that. I told Brice that night, and in a note on Sunday, that no one, and I mean NO ONE, could be happier for him. This is such a great thing. He deserved it , he wanted it, and I'm SO happy he got it." Now Mel paused "Well, I believe you Jay. But then I don't understand why you walked out on him."
Jay found himself getting a little angry. "Mel, with all due respect, you've been an attorney for HOW LONG? People respect you. They defer to you. If it were the case - and it's not - that you were stupid, badly informed, or anything else, they would STILL listen to you, because you have the JD after your name. How do you think it is with paralegals? Do you know what is the most common question I get asked "Oh. So you're a secretary at a law firm?" Have you seen - no, I KNOW you've seen - the contempt and condescension I have gotten from lawyers, even though I've saved their asses more than once. And again, with all due respect, if you tell me you weren't complicit in what Brice did to me a year ago, well, I'll say something I never thought I'd say about you - you're a liar."
There was a much longer pause from Mel "Jay, you're right. Everything you said is right. 100%. And you're right, I was complicit. We all were. Every single one of us. And while I can't say I share your concerns about being a couple with Brice after the promotion, can you believe that I understand it? Please keep in mind that Loretta is not a lawyer."
Jay took a minute to respond. "That's a fair point Mel. How did she handle being married to a high powered lawyer?"
"Well, Jay, I don't think that's the question to ask. The question to ask has two parts: how did other people take it when I married, as they said 'out of class'. The answer to that is, not well. And the second question is: how did I respond to their acting not well? "
"How did you act Mel?"
Mel laughed "To be honest, my response was along the lines of, if you don't like it lump it. Let me rephrase it It was 'get the fuck used to it or pack up and get out."
Now Jay was laughing. "Was that the one time you used the f bomb?"
"Just about, Jay. But now, seriously. If I can be blunt, you're not acting well about this. You're not. I'm not going to ask you if you love Brice, because I know the answer to that. YOU know the answer to that. Loretta knows the answer to that. And so do Ahmed and Mel Junior. The only one who has any doubts, is Brice. And I know how to solve that one. The second question, which we're going to have to find out together is: how is HE going to handle anyone trying to abuse you?"
"Brice thinks I don't love him?"
"JAY, are you getting soft headed? You were a part of him for a year, and you walked out. Yes, he has doubts. "
Jay began to cry a little "That's not what I intended to happen"
"I know it's not. But YOU have to fix that. Please. Tell me you'll come by the apartment after work tonight. Brice is staying with us. You two need to talk. And you need to talk to Loretta. And I'll mediate. "
Jay paused again, and Mel jumped in. 'DAMN IT JAY DO YOU LOVE HIM OR NOT?"
"Yes. Yes I do."
'THEN GET YOUR ASS OVER TO OUR APARTMENT TONIGHT. 7PM. AND IF YOU'RE NOT THERE, I'LL SEND SOMEONE TO DRAG YOU HERE." He put the phone down.
There was no question. When Mel spoke, when Mel gave orders, you listened, and you obeyed. "He'd make a great Dom" thought Jay. "But Loretta would make a better one." He called Bill to ask him to take Al for the night - he wasn't sure he was going to be in any shape to be with anyone after the meeting - but he didn't tell Bill where he was going.
"Oh, you slut-DOM" Bill laughed. "Is Al's butt already not tight enough for you." Jay tried to go along with the joke. "Well, I like Al a lot. We'll talk some more after the next few days. If you're not attached to him, I think I'll buy out your share." Bill laughed some more. "Jay, you can HAVE him. There are subs who are problems, and then there's Al. I've NEVER dealt with one who was so, well, problematic." Jay kept silent. He had no problem with Al, and actually did like him. Did he like him as much as he liked Brice? No. WOULD he ever like him as much as he liked Brice? Probably not. If that were a possibility, he would have ditched this meeting.
When it came time for him to leave for Mel and Loretta's place, Jay heaved a big sigh. He had decided to walk, because the distance would allow him to get some focus. At least that's what he thought. Instead, he felt like he needed a can to kick in front of him the way Cher had in "Moonstruck." He did laugh to himself. Why, oh why, did he feel like his life was a series of scenes out of Moonstruck. He knew, that at some point tonight, someone was going to yell "Do you love him Jay?" He knew the answer. He just didn't know if he loved what came with it.
Jay stopped at a bodega not far from the apartment building. He always brought coffee for the doormen at Mel and Loretta's, and he knew that Lorenzo would be working tonight. "Light, four sugars" he asked the clerk, and away he went. Again, he laughed to himself. If they had some brandy, however bad it was, he might have taken some right there.
He handed the coffee to Lorenzo, and went up to the apartment. Loretta greeted him. She was stunning as always. She was wearing a beautiful dark red silk blouse, and black silk pants. She didn't even wait until he got in the apartment to hug him. "My sweet brother. My sweet OLDER brother" she added, and they laughed. "Loretta, this isn't fair. I know what tears do to silk ,and now I can't cry."
"Never underestimate a woman's thought processes Jay. Not that you would. " She pushed back and stared at him. "Geez. You ARE a wreck. The only person I've seen lately who looked worse is Brice. Maybe my husband too."
"Are they here Loretta?" She didn't answer. "Why don't we just sit down and have a grappa, and talk? Everything else can wait."
"Grappa. Loretta, you're wonderful." "Yes, I know. And tonight, Momma Loretta is going to fix this . God knows she can't trust men to fix these things" She sighed, brought over two glasses and the bottle and sat down. "Now, Mel has filled me in a little about what happened. Let me speak for a bit Jay. Ask questions, but let me tell you some stories about my time with Mel."Jay took a sip of his grappa. "Loretta, I want to just ask a question. How has it been being the spouse of a Managing Partner?"She laughed. "Jay, it's absolutely AWFUL. I HATE going to those stupid functions where I have to smile, shake hands, and listen to the most awful jokes, pretend I don't know what they're talking about, and otherwise feel like I am losing all self respect. And the way they LOOK at me. Like 'what is SHE doing here?' Do you know what I do when I can, to get out of them?""No Loretta, tell me." She laughed. "I go shopping with you darling, or I call you and say "I have an extra ticket to the opera" " Jay looked up.
"I didn't know you hated it that much." Loretta smiled. "I hate it even more than that. Now Jay, let me be clear, I'm not going shopping with you, and to the opera with you, because I feel forced to. I could do other things." She laughed. "My predecessor - the wife of the last managing partner - took a younger lover." She looked at Jay. 'DO NOT SAY WHAT YOU'RE THINKING MISTER. But I love your company. I go to as few of these things as possible."
Jay looked at her. His eyes were big, and he didn't ask. Loretta answered. "Because I love Mel more than I hate these meetings. " She paused. "Well, that's a true statement. But we also have an agreement." She took a sip of her drink. "What's that agreement, Loretta?"
She smiled. "I have carte blanche to be a bitch at these meetings if I want to be. They're all convinced I am, so WHO CARES? I'm only proving what they knew." She took a big slug of the drink. "And they don't happen that often, these things I can't get out of. " Jay was beginning to weep, very very quietly. Loretta took his hand.
"Jay, you can do this. You may not believe it, but you're a HELL of a lot stronger than I am. You had to be. You can make this work. Make your position known, and DAMN THE REST OF THEM. WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK WHAT THEY THINK?"
"I sure don't" came the rich, deep voice of Brice, as he walked into the room. Jay felt his stomach twist three different ways.
"Brice.. OH MY GOD. It's... it's... " Brice smiled "I missed you too." Loretta took her glass and the bottle. "I'll check in with you boys later." Jay looked to her. "Loretta, I love you." She smiled. "Yes, I know. And you should," before she walked out.
They stared at each other. Brice was wearing exactly the same outfit he was the night Jay had kidnapped him, except he was wearing the "property of" chain, instead of a necktie. "Do you love her more than me?" he smiled. Jay began to weep openly. "FUCK NO. Do you really have to ask that?" He hustled over and grabbed Brice in a hug, planting his lips. Their tongues intertwined and they could each feel the other's erection in the embrace.
Brice broke the embrace and looked directly at Jay. "I asked you a question in that cab, and you said you needed time to think about it. Damn it, Jay, you've had enough time. Will you marry me?" Brice got down on his knee in front of Jay. Jay had no more emotions left. "I never thought. I never never...' YES DAMN IT. YES, I WILL. FUCK THEM ALL. YES I WILL." He grabbed Brice and the two of them began to cry.
OH geez, thank God you're both wearing cotton," they heard Loretta's voice. "Mel, will you get the hell in here. You need to do SOMETHING useful." Mel shuffled in, without his jacket, but still in his shirt and tie. Ahmed was with him. "Mel junior had to cover someone else's clients tonight, so Ahmed came as the second witness. Now, I kept my license current after Ahmed and Mel got married, so I can still do this. Will the two of you face me."
Jay spoke "Wait. Loretta doesn't have any flowers. " She laughed. "Darling, I bought white and yellow roses today. OF COURSE I have flowers." It took a second for her to get them, and then they proceeded. Ahmed was grinning ear to ear, and Loretta was fighting back her tears. After Mel had said the words, and had them repeat them, they kissed. OH, did they kiss. Jay whispered "I don't ever want this one to end," and Brice whispered back "neither do I. But I want you in me so bad it isn't funny."
CHAMPAGNE DARLINGS CHAMPAGNE cried Loretta. We must celebrate what is probably the most unlikely marriage in the history of weddings. " Jay and Brice both laughed as they grabbed hands, and kissed again. Brice had put a ring on Jay's finger, and he handed Jay the second one to put on his. Jay whispered "I love you briceman," and Brice whispered back "and I love you Sir." As the champagne popped open, Jay whispered again 'that ain't nothing compared to what it's gonna feel like tonight'

Before Jay and Brice left, Mel took Jay aside. "If you decide to offer Brice the ring, make sure you invite us. I'm not sure about this, but Loretta is dying to go. " They each hugged Loretta , Mel and Ahmed before they left. Jay went to call for a taxi, but Brice pulled down his arm. "Do you mind if we walk a little? " Jay smiled. "Well, no. But that look on your face. You're up to something briceman." Brice smiled. "Maybe...." He grabbed Jay's hand. Here in this part of the city, if anyone noticed, they certainly didn't seem to care.
Brice started leading them west. "Where are we going, briceman?" Jay asked and again, he got a smile. "You'll see, Sir." When they were about two streets from the river, Brice stopped. "Right here, Jay. " They were in front of one of the "better" buildings in the city, and Brice pulled out a key. "I want you to see something." He showed the key to the doorman who nodded, and let them by. "Brice, I'm confused. What is this about. Do we know anyone who lives here?" Brice smiled. "We might." The elevator went up to the 22nd floor. Still holding onto Jay's hand, Brice led him to a door. He turned the key, and they were inside a massive apartment. Jay's mouth dropped open, because the view from the living room was in fact the river. He walked over "Brice. This place is AMAZING." Brice came over and put his hands on Jay's shoulders. "Do you like it? Ahmed told me that you missed having a river view."
Jay froze up. "Wait. I'm confused. I'm REALLY confused. What are you talking about Brice?" Brice smiled. "You said you wished we had a bigger apartment. Room for Al, room for a play room. Well...." He looked down, kind of sheepish. "I sold my place upstate. I sold it a while ago, because I was hoping, for about six months, that we'd make our lives together. I didn't expect the senior partnership, but you see.... Loretta likes me too, so she took me shopping yesterday."
"BRICE. YOU BOUGHT THIS?" Brice smiled again. "Well, you know it's not that easy. But there's an offer in, and I'm willing to pay more if it doesn't work. " Then he grabbed both of Jay's hands. "But only if you like it. I'm serious. "
"Brice... I ... I LOVE IT. But it's too much. Brice, this is all too much for me." Brice laughed. "I said that once. Right before you fucked me for the first time." Jay blushed. "You didn't say "I love it either," and Brice responded. "But I do now. And if you wouldn't mind messing up the bed in the big bedroom." Jay could feel his cock growing. He knew Brice wasn't caged, but that could wait for a night. "I haven't been in you for two days, briceman, so you know I'm ready." Brice led him to the bedroom. "That makes two of us." He took the lead in kissing Jay. "Take me stud. Fuck me until the neighbors scream about the noises in the apartment."
Jay found some odds and ends in the apartment, and he tied Brice's wrists to the big bed. "I've never fucked you in someone else's bed. New things all around." He dug his chin into Brice's neck, finding "the spot" there, and began scruffing until Brice moaned. Then he opened Brice's shirt. He played with the "property of" pendant "Yeah, we're gonna talk about this too. Just not tonight." Before Brice could say anything, Jay stuffed a handkerchief in his mouth. Then he got to work on nibbling Brice's nips. He studied Brice's right nip very carefully, and he whispered to Brice "someone's gonna be wearing something here in the near future." "MMMPH MMMPH MMMPH." Jay didn't know if Brice were protesting or agreeing, but he didn't really care. All he cared about at that moment, was getting Brice undressed. Once he had, he smiled "A gentle man would get you rimmed and wet before anything else, but the LAST thing I'm gonna be tonight is a gentleman." "THANK GOD" thought Brice. "I just wanna get FUCKED HARD." Jay showed no mercy, as he pounded Brice, making up for the two days. He did find Brice's spot, and this time, after he had it nice and tender from his cock, he reached in and massaged it with his finger. That just did Brice in, and for the first time since they had "met," Brice shot before Jay did.
Jay leered "OOOOH. I warned you early on. There's a penalty for that. I just have to figure out what it is. " He pushed in, one last time and SLAMMED his cock in so hard, Brice's head went back. The jizz poured out of him. He took the gag out of Brice's mouth, but he didn't untie him. He kissed his new spouse's lips and whispered . "Mine. For real and for good." Brice whispered back. "Yes Sir. I belong to you now. Always."
Does it need to be said that they both called in sick the next day?

Gentle readers, this story is going to come to an end soon - not right away, but soon. I know some of you have expressed displeasure with parts of the story. Writing is hard. Try it. I DO hope most of you have enjoyed getting to where we are. Again, we've got more to come.
