Chapter 5

The next morning I awoke with a hangover--this time I knew why. As I went to roll over, something held me in place--I panicked. "What did I do last night," I thought.

"Mornin' beautiful," Ian said, as I sat up.

"Oh shit." I moaned.

"What?" Ian said, as he sat up next to me. "What's wrong?"

"You! Last night! My ex-boyfriend/bodyguard!" I screamed.

"Whoa--backup--what's going on?" he asked, He looked confused.

I looked at him for a few moments as I debated if I wanted to tell him. "You should leave." I said, as I stood up and walked toward my closet.

"What?!," he yelled after me.

I put on a pair of underwear, some shorts, and a t-shirt as well. I turned and walked back into the bedroom again. I looked at him, he was beautiful. His piercing blue eyes were shining through his hair. As I looked at him, his eyes were full of confusion.

"I think you should leave for your own good--I'm not worth it." I said, as I walked out of the bedroom.

I stepped into the living area where I saw Moore looking out through the window at Kyle--he was having a heated conversation with someone on his cell.

"What's bugging him, Austin?" I asked--I also looked confused.

"Not sure, but it's not good." He looked at me as he frowned. "Where's lover boy?," he asked. He had a twinge of jealousy.

Ian came out of the bedroom, just as I was going to ask Austin about it. Ian was wearing only a pair of jeans. "What's with you? I really like you," he asked, as he put his hands on my shoulders.

"That's where the trouble begins--I am nothing but trouble--I'm like..." he cut me off.

"Is it because you have money--or is it about trust issues? Could it be because of him?," he asked, as he pointed to Kyle--he was still the balcony. "How about you let me figure out if you are trouble."

"I've got bad news." Kyle said, as he came inside.

"See, I'm nothing but trouble," I said, as I pointed at Kyle.

"Tyler..." Kyle started.

"What now?" I cut him off.

"Andy's dead," he said, as he looked down at his feet.

"What?!" I exclaimed.

"He's dead," he said as he spoke louder.

"No," I said, as I backed into the kitchen.

"Tyler?" Ian asked as he came closer.

"No--no--he can't be," I said, as I fell to the floor sobbing.

Kyle ran and scooped me into his arms. "Moore you get boy wonder Ian to his apartment, and grab some clothes--he's coming with us. It looks like everyone seen with Tyler is in danger, and get back here ASAP," he said, as he turned back to me. "Tyler everything's going to be ok," he said, as he brushed a hair out of my face.

"How?" I asked, as I was barely whispering.

"How what?" he asked me.

"How did it happen?" i whispered.

"That's not important." Kyle said.

"I asked how?!" My yelling startled everyone in the room, even myself.

"Well, it turns out that the guy he went home with did it." He then looked down at me and it seemed as though he was contemplating if he should keep on talking. He broke his silence when he said: "There was also a note."

"What did it say?" I asked.

"Not sure yet--Jamerson is arguing with the police right now so we can get a copy of it."

"Tell him to do everything he has to--get it. Does he think this was linked to the Hawaii shooting?" I asked, as I looked up at him.

"No one's sure yet, but I wouldn't doubt it."

It seemed the next few hours were a blur. I was told I was being taken to a safe house. When I questioned someone about its location, I was told it would be best if I didn't even know.

I didn't see Ian or Moore until we were on the bird waiting for take off. They boarded the jet with Jamerson bringing up the rear.

I looked past them and went to Jamerson "Where's the note!" I yelled.

"I don't think you want to see it," he said very sternly.

"I don't care what you think." I growled. "Give it to me!"

He reached into his suit jacket and pulled out a manila envelope and handed it to me. "Here."

I ripped open the envelope and look at the blood-stained piece of paper. I ran to the bathroom and let loose my breakfast. After I was done, I sat on the floor and cried for the second time that morning.

There was knock on the door. Jamerson took my silence as a sign to enter. He leaned on the door frame. "Do you want me to read it?" I nodded, yes. "Ok." he said.

He took a deep breath.

"Dear Boy Billionaire,

You may have all the money in the world and all the protection you think you may need, but with out your "so called family" you're nothing. Before I kill you, and make you atone for your sins against God, I will kill everyone you hold dear. You will suffer!

                                                A Friend."

I looked at him when he finished. "Who could hate me that much?" I asked. I was scared out of my mind.

"I don't know but we're going to find out," Jamerson said with fire raging in his eyes.
