Continued from part ten... Bi Times! by Taylor Quest PART XI

"Why is it things go so well and then the shit hit's the fan," Eric asked Josh.

"Not sure, but one thing's for sure, we are blessed to have one another, now it's up to us to help Jordan, he's all alone. We've got a mission now."

"For sure, there's no way he's going to go through this alone," Eric replied.

Kneeling down Eric lifted Jordan's chin. The poor kid had really taken a few mean ones to the face. Jordan was shaking uncontrollably.

"Jordan, this might hurt a bit but I've got to see if your nose is broken," Eric said as he gently felt the bridge of Jordan's nose. Smooth, no ridges, no lumps nothing broken. Jordan cried out a bit when he felt it but not much. Josh's mom came back in from the living room.

"The police will be here and over at Jordan's house in a few minutes."

"Good, damn, that's really horrible," Claudia said as she looked at Jordan's eye.

From the front hall way there was a banging at the door. Everyone jumped including Jordan. Everyone looked at each other. The door banged again, this time the doorbell rang a few times.

"Josh, Claudia Eric, take Jordan down stairs to the cellar, Josh you know where to go," Liz said unsure of who was at the door.

Josh nodded and Claudia helped Jordan out of the kitchen down to the back stairs. In the cellar under the stairwell there was a piece of loose sheet rock that could be slid over to the side. Behind it was a secondary room of sorts that had not been developed into anything. Basically if you didn't know where to look it was an excellent hiding spot. There was no other way in either so you'd have to be looking for a trap door and no one looked for those kinds of things in modern homes.

"Claudia, take them down there, I'm staying up here," Josh said.

As Eric heard this his face dropped and he started to tremble.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine, like hell if I'm going to leave mom alone up here," Josh said kissing Eric on the lips and sending them down with out another word.

Liz counted to three and walked into the front hallway. She peered through the tiny eye hole and saw Mark Forester, Jordan's father. He looked drunk, and madder than a hornet. Liz shook off the sudden shiver that ran through her and tried to look surprised to see him. She opened the door.

"Oh, hello Mr. Forester, what a surprise," she started but was cut off.

"Is Jordan here," he snapped.

"Uh, actually no he isn't, not at this hour, we were just getting ready to go to sleep, you see I just got back in from out of," she offered politely before he cut her off again.

"Have you seen him recently," he snapped again.

"Let me see, um no actually I've not been home all weekend, so I think the last time I," she continued.

"You know the little freak is gay," he said in disgust.

"Excuse me?"

"Yeah you heard me woman, he's a little fudge packer, I thought he was porkin' your daughter but," he started to continue.

"'Mr. Forester, it seem's that this is not a good time, I'll have to go now," Liz said stepping away from the door way as she began to close the door. Though it only closed about a foot when it met an obstacle.

"Mr. Forester, it is late, I," she started as he shoved the door all the way open nearly knocking her down on the floor.

"Didn't you hear me bitch, that little fucker is gay, and he's been with your daughter, doesn't that make you mad?!"

"Mr. Forester, if you don't get out of my house right now, I'll have to call the po," she started as she backed away from him.

"Go the fuck ahead, I bet your one of those nasty liberal bitches who thinks it's ok to be a fag don't you?!"

Liz stepped further back into the living room, backing up against the piano behind her.

"It's nasty bitches like you that have fags for sons don't ya," he yelled as he shoved her back against the piano. Her hand sliding back against her purse.

"Back off buddy," Joshes voice came from behind them.

"Oh, look it's a fag, I bet you're the one who that little fuck was talking to on the phone," Mark said as he backed away from Liz.

"I don't know what your problem is man, but you need to get the hell out of my house," Josh said stepping closer to the man.

"I don't have to do anything a fag tells me," he replied as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a knife.

"I'm gonna clean you out boy, from your sack to your throat," he said coming closer to Josh who suddenly felt like the size of a flea.

"I don't think so," Liz's voice rang out.

"Yeah bitch, and what are you going to do about it?"

"This," she replied as she squeezed a round out of the three fifty seven magnum that she had pulled out of her purse. The bullet zinged past his face by only an inch and tore into the door frame behind him.

"Fucking bitch you can't even aim!"

"That was a warning, get out of my house, you bigoted degenerate!"

He didn't say a word, all he did was look over at Josh. Who was standing there in awe of his mother. Then he looked back at Liz and took one step and started to lunge at her. Before he could close the gap anymore Elizabeth Hendersen fired off another shot. This one, unlike the other didn't slice past him. It collided with the center of his forehead and exited out the rear. His lifeless body dropped in a pile in front of her.

"Oh, boy, that's going to leave a stain," she commented as she put the gun down on the piano and walked away to the kitchen.

Josh just stood there looking at Mr. Foresters body. It wasn't until his mom pulled him away back to the kitchen did it register what had just happened.

"I just called the police, they are already at Jordan's house, I told them what happened and they should be, oh here they are, don't get Jordan until that is moved," Liz said pointing to the body.

"Sure, damn mom, I didn't know you had a gun," Josh replied to her as she walked around through the dining room toward the front entry.

"I've had one for two years now, I'd decided to take it up so if I had to take care of myself I could," she replied as she opened the door and walked out side.

Josh glanced down the stairs to see Claudia peeking up from below.

"Josh was that a gun shot we heard," she asked.

"Yeah, is Jordan with you or," Josh asked.

"No he's still down there with Eric, little guy is scared to death of seeing his dad," Claudia replied.

"No worries then, mom just shot his dad," Josh replied.

"WHAT?!"

"He tried to kill us with a knife and she pulled out this big ass gun and blew him away," Josh said.

"Where?"

"Up here in the living room, his body is right over there on the floor," Josh replied pointing beyond where Claudia couldn't see. She started up the steps but Josh told her to stay down stairs.

"Claud, you don't wanna see this, his brains are all over the wall," Josh said with a disgusted face.

"Ewwey, ok I'll take your word on it, what do I tell them, they are scared to death."

"Just tell them you don't know what the noise was but we are ok that you saw both mom and I and we are fine, and the cops are here."

"Ok I'll do that," Claudia said as she went back to the hiding place.

Fifteen cops, three hours and five hundred questions later the house was empty. Lights were out and doors were locked. The living room window remained open to let air in. The only things that made the room look different was the large dark brown stain in the carpet next to the piano and the red spray on the wall next to the front door where the bullet had exited. They had managed to get Jordan out of the house and inform him of what had happened with out him seeing any of this. When they told him he was visibly relieved, but he didn't speak much. Only when he had to. His sister was fine, and she actually couldn't have cared less what had happened to her dad.

Jordan and Victoria Forester had been living with their father since they had been abandoned by their mother seven years before. They had lived in Las Vegas, with both of their parents when their mom decided one night not to come home. They had moved to California and later heard that their mom had been found dead in an alley way from a drug overdose. Their father had become increasingly more of an alcoholic over the past three years. Jordan and Vicky knew how to step around him to keep him from blowing up. But it did happen. Mark hated anything and everything that they did. And he was always trying to find a way to make Jordan feel bad about something. When Hanson came out he made sure that Jordan knew how much of a girl he looked. But Jordan wouldn't cut his hair. This pissed his dad off. Now his dad was dead, his mother was dead. All he had left in the world was Vicky, and now Josh and Eric. Their mom was so cool, and so pretty. He had always wished she was his mom. Little did he know that things were about to get so much better.

It was early in the morning, about three am when they all got settled at Barbara Nelson's home. Eric and Josh shared his bed, naturally. Vicky and Jordan shared the guest bed in Eric's room and Liz slept in the guest room. They had figured that it would be best to keep the kids together since all this crap was going on.

Jordan had awoken from a bad dream. Vicky was sound asleep, if he had been straight, or even bisexual it would have been complicated for him. Vicky was seven teen years old, and quite the looker. And she slept in only a night shirt. As did Jordan. When he awoke he was facing her and he was pressed against her bare skin. He shifted uncomfortably and pulled away, rolled over and faced the other bed. The light from the bathroom cast a faint glow on Eric's bed. Eric was asleep facing him, Josh was behind him with an arm thrown over. His face nuzzled in Eric's neck. Jordan so wished that he would have that some day. He had been so in love with Mike. Or at least he thought it was love, or perhaps he was in love with the idea of being in love with Mike. He was unsure of both. But all he wanted was love, not the kind a sister or parent could give only a lover could give him the love he needed.

Eric awoke, the sun was beaming in through the window. It was near noon on a bright Sunday. He was extremely uncomfortable. For some reason he was on the edge of his bed. He glanced over his shoulder to see why he was so cramped and came face to face with the sleeping face of Jordan. Behind Jordan was Josh, cuddling up to him sound asleep. This didn't last long, Josh slowly shifted and opened his eyes and looked down in to the mess of blond hair beneath his chin and an expression of sheer confusion washed over his face. Then he looked up at Eric who was stifling a giggle. Sometime in the night Jordan had gotten out of bed with his sister and had squeezed in between them. And he was naked too. Even with the swollen lip, black eye and bruises he was a cute kid. Josh's face was a mixture of signals, confusion, shock, embarrassment and excitement. Eric laughed it off knowing that Josh was truly at a loss for words.

This was going to be some week. The last week of school, Jordan's dad was dead, and Josh and Eric were going to be together forever. For some reason there was something in the back of all of their minds. Something had happened earlier in the evening but it was all a blur before the scene with Jordan's dad. Try as they might they couldn't think of it.

Meanwhile in the Hendersen home the wind from the window blew into the room. A small square of paper fluttered off the coffee table to the floor. Skiffing it's way closer to the window. Distinctly it read 'MegoBall Ticket'...
