The Doctor's private lessons

Dave settled into the routine at the dive shop. Because Saturdays were reserved for diving trips to Santa Catalina Island, Tuesdays and Thursdays were the nights he taught diving classes in the pool and Mondays were his normal day off he restricted his dinners with Bill and Marry to Wednesdays. Marry would fix then a nice home cooked meal and while Bill would entertain Dave she would clean up and join them so that she could watch them while she masturbated. No mater what they did it always ended with Dave and Bill fucking each other.
One evening a tall distinguished looking gentleman came into the dive shop. He was dressed casually but his clothes were expensive. One look at him and the two other salesmen working that evening knew he had great credit. Each of them asked him if they could help him. He told the other two guys that he was just looking.
Dave was just finishing up selling a guy a new spear gun and explaining ways to modify it to make it faster to load. He was doing that while the man's SCUBA tank was being filled in a tub of water. When he was finished he took the guys money and thanked him and assured him that he would see him on the boat that weekend.
The gray haired man asked him what boat that was. Dave told him that the shop charted a 17-foot boat out of San Pedro almost every weekend for diving trips or to check out new divers. That seamed to interest him and he asked a lot more questions. He said that he had never done any diving before. He mentioned that it had always fascinated him growing up. He said that he had been on his college swimming team but was not a great swimmer.
They talked about movies that had made them fascinated with SCUBA diving. There was the post war movie about the Under Water Demolition Team 4 called "Frogmen". There was also the movie "Creature from the Black Lagoon". There was the TV series "Sea Hunt with Lloyd Bridges. They talked about all of the phony stuff but they had both been fascinated about breathing under water and being able to see what it was like under the sea.
Dave told him about being in the middle of a school of smelt. They circling him and forming a living silver tunnel all the way up to the surface. What it is like to go night diving for lobster. The panic you feel the first time an eel lunges at you.
He told him about cave diving and having the light flooding and not being able to tell where up or down was until another dive came by with a working light. He told him about the way young cow seals follow you and your apprehension because you know there is at least one bull seal some where just beyond your field of vision.
He told him about being out on Anta Kappa Island one time with a large group of seals all around the boat. They were in among them when a pod of Orcas (Killer Whales) showed up. The guys he was diving with all exited the water as soon as they showed up. They sat there watching the Orcas circling the seals, working them away from the safety of the rocky shore. When a seal would make a break for the rocks one of the whales would dart after it and bite off the head. He would leave it to return to the circle. They watched the whales kill close to twenty seals before they started feeding and allowing the rest to make it to the rocks. Dave told him about one of the twenty foot whales came along side the boat and rolling over so that an eye was looking at them. When the whales moved on they up anchor and headed back to San Pedro. The man listened to the stories with interest. At no time had Dave tried to sell him anything.
The man introduced himself as Dr. Ron Larson. Dave asked if the title was an MD. The man casually said yes, neurosurgery. Dave simply shook his hand and said that his name was Dave, late of the U S Navy. When the doctor asked if he had been a diver in the Navy, Dave just laughed I did some diving for fun but was a Draftsman in the Navy.
The doctor had checked him out and was sure he had played some sort of sport. Dave told him that he had been a middle linebacker for 7 years of high school and college.
The doctor asked him, "If you were to be able to buy the best equipment, what would you select."
Dave started with the masks. He explained the best features of each. When pressed to select one he picked up one what had a large lens, easy access to the nose for purging and very little air space between the lens and the face.
He picked up a large barreled snorkel that would wrap around the head that would allow the dive to rest on the surface face down and the barrel was just long enough to make easy to clear the barrel to breathe.
He also explained the features of the fins. In those days jest fins were just coming out and were touted as being fast and less likely to cause cramps but for pure power Dave selected Voit Duck Feet.
When they discussed the different types of wetsuits Dave told him about the most common types first. Ron listened to his explanation about them and when Dave was forced to pick one he said, "I prefer the Farmer John bottoms with the jacket made with the hood built in. It is harder to get used to but when you get in cold water it is more comfortable. The jacket has to zip from the chest down and is harder to get on. I just prefer the comfort in the water. Then he pointed out the need for a weight belt and buoyancy compensator. He assured him that it was not a life vest. I your in trouble go for the surface no faster than your large bubbles and when you reach the surface drop the weight-belt."
Then he showed him the tanks and packs along with the regulators. A lot of people were starting to buy the single hose regulators but Dave preferred the old U S Divers two hose regulator. He said, "He didn't mind sticking his tongue in the mouth peace to stop the flow of air if he rolled over on his back. Having the regulator behind the head allowed the discharge of used air to exit behind the head. I hate the way the single hose regulators exhaust right by your cheeks so that the bubbles ringing in your ears."
Ron asked, "Would it be possible to get private lessons."
Dave said, "I conducted classes at a local city pool twice a week. I guess I could teach you if you have access to a pool large enough for me to insure that you are an adequate swimmer."
Ron said, "I have an Olympic sized pool at home."
Dave said, "We can rent you all of the equipment until your ready for the deep sea checkout dive. You would have to buy your own wetsuit by then."
Ron pulled out his check book and said, "I will buy everything right now."
Dave started ringing it all up as Ron selected a mask that fit him like the one Dave had talked about. He selected the Duck Feet and after ringing it all up Ron filled out the amount on his check. Dave got out the measuring tape and started measurning him. He filled in the measurements on an order form, head neck, chest, Waist, hips thighs, calves, inseam, Length torso and shoulder over the head. He checked off the Farmer John pants and then the built in hooded jacket with chest zipper. He told him when the wetsuit would be available. Them he helped package the equipment up and carry them out to the Doctor's car.
Ron gave him his business card and wrote down his address and phone number on the back. Dave told him he could work him in on Mondays and Wednesdays. Ron said, "I will clear my calendar so we can start next week."
The following Monday he called Ron to find out what time he would want to start. Ron said he was ready right away. Dave didn't need anything but his fins, mask, snorkel and trunks so he pulled out the Harley.
His HDWG thundered west on the road to Rancho Palos Verdes. Dave smiled to himself wondering if the doctor's neighbors would be upset by the sound of his Harley. As he got close to the right address he slowed down and turned off of the road and up the hill to a Spanish style home with a red tile roof.
Ron heard the noise and came out of the side of the house and directed him to where he could park the bike. He led Dave into the house and offered him a drink before they got started. They carried the drinks out to the patio. Dave would have killed to have a house like this. The doctor was not kidding the pool was defiantly Olympic sized with spa.
The first thing Dave did was hand him the book and he went over what he would need to learn. There was Boyle's law, Martins law and the repetitive dive table. The medical stuff like a subcutaneous newmothorax and such were no problem for the doctor to understand. While Ron read the stuff Dave sat back and enjoyed the breeze coming up the hill from the Ocean. He told Ron that when he was ready to take the test he would watch him take it in a week or two. He said for now why don't you show me how good of a swimmer you are.
He had brought along something that looked like a parachute that attached to a waist belt. The idea was to create drag as Ron swam up and down the pool. Ron managed to pass the swimming test without a lot of difficulty. When they got out of the pool Ron offered to let him use his shower.
Dave was enjoying a comfortable worm shower in the spacious shower room when Ron entered the room naked. Dave had admired his physical condition in the pool but now he got to see what his tool looked like. He was a tall slender man and his cock was long and lean too. As he walked towards him Dave watched it swing back and forth. One look at Ron's eyes and Dave knew that Ron was horny.
Ron approached him and reached down and cupped Dave's scrotum and asked, "How did you get a sack like this? Is it a hydro-cell?"
Dave blushed, "I got kicked in the balls to many times playing football."
Ron did not let go of Dave's sack as he moved his body so close that he had to straddle Dave's thigh. Dave felt his cock coming to life. He reached down and took hold of it. He jacked him off until Ron's cock was fully erect. He knelt on the cold tile floor and took the long member down his throat. He sucked on that tool until Ron came in his mouth and cum flowed out of his nose. When he stood up Ron pressed him up against the tiled wall and kissed him. While he wiped his limp cock all over Dave's leg.
Then Ron knelt in front of Dave and sucked his cock while sticking his finger up Dave's ass. When Dave started coming Ron pulled his head back and got a face full of cum. They had a good laugh and cleaned up and Ron promised to be ready for the written test by the next week.
Dave strapped his bag containing his gear on the back of the bike and let the pipes bark as he headed down the driveway.
Sure enough Ron was ready for the test and was done in less time than it took Dave to change from his jeans to his Speedos. Dave corrected the test paper and found that he had no problems with written work. So they adjourned to the pool.
Dave carefully went over all of the mechanics of the use of the regulator and then he tossed Ron's mask into the deep end of the pool. He told him, "Dive in and put the mask on and clear it of all of the water by blowing air out of your nose before you come to the surface."
While he was doing that Dave jumped in and carried the brand new tank to the bottom of the pool and left it there. When he reached the surface Ron was there and wondering why he had left the tank down there without a regulator.
Dave used his fens to propel him up so that he could turn around and sit on the edge of the pool. He reached back and grabbed the regulator and held it in one hand while he pulled the mask off of Ron's head and tossed it into the pool on the other side, as far away as he could from the tank. "Same drill. Retrieve the mask, clear it before you swim under water to the tank and attach the regulator before taking a breath. You have to put the tank on before you surface."
Ron looked at him. "Where will the regulator be?"
Dave said, "Ah you catching on quick. You have to catch me and take it from me." There was a twinkle in his eye when he said that and Ron knew he was going to put up a fight for it. Based on the way Dave was built he knew that was going to be hard to do.
Ron took a few cleansing deep breaths in an attempt to reduce the amount of CO2 from his brain before diving down to retrieve the mask. When he cleared it he saw that Dave was on the far side of the pool with the regulator in hand. Every move Ron made Dave moved to counter his move until Dave knew Ron was starting to suffer. He allowed Ron to catch and put up just enough of a struggle to make Ron exhaust the remaining air he had. Ron had to give up the struggle and swim for the surface.
Dave followed him and when they reached the surface Dave told him there comes a time when you have to decide that you have to give up and go for the surface. If a friend gets trapped under water and exhaust his air your better off just giving him your bottle and making a free accent. Go get more air and help."
When Ron recovered Dave said, "Are you ready to try that again?"
Ron looked at him with determination and nodded his head. Dave tossed his mask again and when Ron went for it he tossed the regulator far enough to make Ron have to decide which one to go for first. Dave knew he would go for the regulator first then swim to the tank and struggle with putting the regulator on and with luck he would be able to clear the regulator and get air before putting on the tank before heading for the surface.
Ron did manage to do it. When he got out of the pool Dave tossed the gear back in and Ron figured he was going to have to do it again. Dave said, "Good job. Watch with your mask on from the pool. Dave dove in put the mask on, cleared it and went for the tank. He cracked the valve and put his mouth over the bubbles to catch a breath and carried the tank to the regulator and took his time putting on the regulator. Then he swung the tank over his head adjusted the mouthpiece before bucking the waist belt and swimming for the edge of the pool.
Dave told Ron there is always another way to solve a problem. Your first idea may not be the easiest way. Ron said, "Aren't you risking blowing a hole through your mouth doing that?"
"If you noticed I never put my mouth directly over the valve. I let the bubbles replace the water in my mouth and breathed the air in the bubble."
Ron was finished with the practical part of the class faster than a normal class because of the one on one style. When it was time for his check out dive Dave offered to take him out with his next class but Ron said I have a boat we can use. Dave was game to take him over to Catalina for a dive. Ron gave him the boat slip his boat was tied up at. They agreed to take the boat out on Sunday and coming back on Monday afternoon.
Dave was up early with his gear packed and drove to the Naples Yacht Club and parked his car in a place he knew the watchmen could keep an eye on it. He slung his gear over his back and walked down the floating dock and followed the numbers to the one on his slip of paper. As soon as he saw the boat he was impressed.
Ron's boat was a 40 foot power boat with twin Mercury diesel engines. There were two identical bridges. One enclosed the second was a flying bridge with a blue canvas awning. As he approached the boat Ron came out of the cabin.
Dave stood at the ladder and saluted the small ensign at the rear and then saluted Ron, "Third Class Dave Mayfield. Permission to come aboard, Sir."
Ron gave him a half-assed salute and said, "Welcome aboard, Saylor "
Dave climbed over the railing and followed Ron and secured his gear where he was told. Then Ron showed him the boat. Dave was very impressed. Ron told him until we get to the dive sight you are just First-mate so get on the dock and single up all mooring lines and prepare to cast off.
Dave jumped over the railing and quickly untied the figure eight on the docks stern cleat and tossed the line onboard the boat as Ron headed for the flying bridge and started engines. Ron used the rudder to keep the boat against the dock as Dave ran to the bow and singled up and took the line in hand as he jumped on board the boat. He coiled the lines on deck smartly and then as they headed for the opening in the breakwater he pulled the finders up and stowed them. They had a good time heading for the north end of the island. His boat was fast enough to make the trip in half of the time that their charter boat would take. Dave directed him to go around the point and bring the boat to a cove on the western side of the island called Iron bay. The cliffs were a good forty feet high and a horse shoe shape. There was no way anyone could scale the cliffs from the bay, without rock climbing gear.
They set the anchor with enough slack to allow the boat to swing with the currents but no danger of coming in contact with the rocks. They put on their gear while Dave explained what they would do. Dave was going to watch him clearing his mask using the buoyancy comparator to regulate the neutral beanery at a variety of depths. After Dave was satisfied with Ron's skills they would just enjoy the swim. They never went deeper than thirty feet. At that depth they were able to stay down for close to an hour. When the came to the surface they used a wooden deck on the back of the boat to exit the water. They removed all of their equipment before having something to eat.
Dave had brought along several tanks so that they could make multiple dives. While they were eating Ron raved about how great the dive was and everything he saw. He was so excited he would probably hyperventilate if they went back into the water right away.
Dave asked Ron if he had even heard of the Five-Fathoms Club. Ron had no ideas what that was. Dave explained, "A fathom is six feet and 30 feet is the equivalent to one atmosphere. Having sex in thirty feet of water is the same as the Mile-High Club of flyers.
Ron asked, "Just how are we going to do that?"
Dave said, "We take off our Farmer Johns and when we get to 30 feet we undo the crotch of our tops and if we can keep a hard-on in water about 52 degrees we fuck each other."
Ron got a laugh out of that and they took off their bathing suits and put the wetsuit tops on and the weight belts. Dave told him that without the bottoms they would be negative buoyant. So when they wanted to come up they would have to swim harder or use the buoyancy compensators. They changed tanks and put on the rest of their gear and rolled backwards over the side of the boats rail.
Dave led Ron to a sandy area that would be more comfortable and checked his depth gage to insure that the depth was more than thirty feet. He settled to the bottom. He unfastened the two clasps of the crotch tail. He pulled it up behind his back and tucked it under it's self. He took his tank off and placed it on the sand in front of himself.
Ron saw what he was offering him and he unfastened his crotch flap. He knelt behind Dave and guided his cock into Dave's asshole. It took Ron a little effort to get a hard-on firm enough to get it in Dave's butt. For Ron it was the first time he had ever fucked anyone under water and he got off fucking Dave. He even managed to cum.
The only thing bothering Dave was that Ron might be hyperventilating and use up his tank of air before he got to fuck him. As soon as he knew that Ron has climaxed he swung his tank over his head and bucked the waist belt. He swung around Ron and placed him on his knees. He pulled Ron's crotch flap up to expose his asshole. He checked Ron's pressure gage and knew he had to work fast. He guided his cock into Ron's asshole and grabbed him by the hips. He fucked him fast a furiously. When he pulled out of Ron's ass some cum floated in the water.
Dave got a kick out of seeing A Gold Garibaldi nibbling at cum in the water. Ron began feeling it harder to breathe. He pulled the reserve rod and made the signal that he was out of air. Dave followed him to the surface. Again Ron could not get over the thrill of having sex underwater. He could not stop talking. Dave reveled in his excitement.
Dave asked are you up to make one deep dive today? Check the dive chart and tell me how long we can stay down at 160 feet after two hour long dives to 30 feet.
Ron went over the table and responded with more of a question, "Ten minutes without decompression?"
Now, how long will a tank of air last under 5 atmospheres of pressure?
Ron did the math and said about ten minutes?
Dave said, "Let's move the boat to this location as he pointed on the chart."
They up anchor and headed south. When they reached the point on the map Dave dropped the anchor. Before getting dressed Dave told Ron to check his figures again accounting for the time elapsed on the surface. Ron did all of his figures again and said, "We still only have air enough for ten minutes down time but we could actually stay down longer."
Dave said, "Is that a safety cushion?"
Ron said, "Yes."
Dave said, "Let's go then."
As they went down the water was almost black under them. Ron noticed that the color of the orange buoyancy vests changed color. When he was the bottom the rocks were covered with what looked like plants but Dave had told him that almost everything he would see was in fact living organisms as apposed to plant life. The fish life changed too. They used up all of their air and had to start up.
Ron was surprised to find out that as the pressure decreased the air in his lungs expanded and he never had to take a breath of air. He was exhaling all the way up. Ron was stoked beyond belief. Dave had told him what would happen but until Ron actually experienced it he would have not believed it.
They up anchor and went around the southern end of the island and entered Avalon Harbor. They contacted the harbor master and got permission to tie up a buoy.
The caught the water taxi to the pier. Ron bought Dave's dinner and they had an enjoyable evening touring the city and shops before taking the taxi back to the boat for a good nights sleep. The next morning they took the boat up the eastern cost to Two Harbors. They collected five green abalone a piece, near Bird Rock. That exhausted all of the air tanks they had brought with them. They did some snorkeling the rest of the morning before heading for home port.
They loaded all of the empty tanks in the trunk of Dave's car and they took them back to the shop where they refilled all of them and sealed them. Ron's new tank was put back in the trunk. Dave filled out the paperwork to verify that Ron was a certified SCUBA Diver and gave him a card that he could carry as proof that he was certified.
Dave drove Ron home where they had a drink or two. Ron wanted to thank Dave for the private lessons so he pulled down his pants and knelt over a chair as he asked Dave to fuck him one more time. Dave greased up his cock and eased it into Ron's ass. He added to Ron's enjoyment by reaching around his hip and jacking him off while he fucked him.
That had been a busy couple of weeks so Dave passed on diving trips for a couple of weeks. He stayed close to home for awhile.
