Banging B-Rok (Part 4)

Well, back by popular demand after a few weeks hiatus is the continuing saga of Brian and Darren. When last we left them they had a fight which seemed to draw high emotions from my loyal readers. Let's see where they go. Speaking of the readers, thanks for all the e-mail guys. Of course, this is fiction, and is not meant to imply that Brian Littrel is in fact gay in reality. But I can dream...

Special thanks to DaveL for helping me write this next bit and getting me over some big blocks. Of course, e-mail can be sent to calguy19@hotmail.com

I was dreaming about Brian. He was holding me and kissing me on the forehead -- only it seemed real. I moaned softly.

"Darren," Brian's voice called out. "Darren, it's 11:30, we have to go."

It almost seemed as if Brian was really there. A shaking of my hip roused me from my dream, and I realized I had actually heard Brian's voice.

"Come on baby, we gotta get ready to go."

When I opened my eyes, I was momentarily disoriented by my surroundings until I saw the eyes that stared back at me, right into my soul. 'God he's beautiful,' I thought. "I could really get used to waking up like that."

"Like what?"

"To the most beautiful pair of blue eyes that I have ever seen."

Brian blushed for a second and then fixed those blue eyes on me, affecting a serious expression, "If we play our cards right, that is exactly what might happen."

"Are you serious?" my heart was in his throat. I was both excited and afraid at the answer.

"Yeah, but we have to take this slowly." Offering a hand up, Brian pulled me into an embrace, and spoke into my ear. "I want to get to know you. Really know you."

I tried to pull back to look at him, but Brian held me in place. "I have an idea how to give us that time." Brian pulled back to find a slightly perplexed look on my face.

"What do you mean?"

A smile spread across Brian's face, "You mentioned something last night about being good with computers?"

"Yeah, I told you all about it last night in the limo."

"Good, follow me." Brian took me by the hand and led me out the door.

"Wait, where are we going??" I asked.

"To see the tour producer."

As much as I tried to get anything else out of him, Brian just kept that melt-my-heart grin on his face and dragged me down the hall.

Forty-five minutes later, Brian, myself and a bodyguard that the promoter insisted ride along were in a cab headed back to my place to pack and explain my sudden career change to the 'rents.

The cab pulled up in front of my house and Brian paid the fare in American funds (much to the cabbie's delight) and told him to wait. I looked at the empty driveway and rolled my eyes. I'd forgotten that my parents had left early this morning to visit my aunt in Vancouver for 2 weeks. Thanking God for my good fortune; a confrontation with my parents was something that I tried to avoid whenever possible.

Robert and Cindy Clark were not thrilled with their only son being gay, but they tried to be supportive. I had never been in trouble with the law and had very high grades in school. This allowed me a certain latitude when it came to making big decisions, but I did not believe, however, that they would like me taking off like this. I felt that, considering the alternative of passing up a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, their was only one logical course of action.

My family was well off thanks to my father's position as a executive with one of the province's largest petro-chemical companies. As such, they had a live-in maid, Lucinda, who was more understanding of my sexuality. Brian and I went in the house and after brief introductions, I pulled Lucinda aside and gave her a sanitized version of what had transpired over the last several hours. One look from Lucinda told me that she didn't believe him as far as she could throw me, then again, she's a big strong woman, that would be kinda far, but her smile told him that she wouldn't say anything to my parents if they called from Vancouver.

With damage control in full swing, I phoned up the clothing store where I was scheduled to go onshift later that day. The manager, a forty-something woman with a wicked sense of humor, got the same story as Lucinda. She was naturally not happy with being short-staffed, but my good work record made her agree to a good reference on the condition that I provide an autographed poster of the BSBs. I quickly agreed to the terms and hung up the phone.

Next I turned my attention to my guests who were sitting on the couch sipping lemonade that Lucinda had set out while I was on the phone.

Brian looked at his watch. "We haven't got much time. Just pack a couple of changes of clothes and any computer stuff you need. Anything else you need we can pick up tomorrow."

"Okay," I said automatically. My mind was going a million miles an hour and had not fully realized what Brian had said.

"My room is downstairs. Follow me."

Bounding down the stairs like a hyperactive puppy, I raced around the nicely furnished basement throwing my laptop, extra batteries, cables and disks into a carrying case. A quick check of the filing cabinet next to the computer desk illicited the passport that Brian said might be needed and other important documents. These too were shoved in rather haphazardly with the equipment.

Brian and Phil, the bodyguard, just looked at each other and tried not to laugh.

With my technical stuff packed, I headed for his bedroom for his clothes with Brian close behind. Brian almost bowled me over when I stopped short in the doorway and turned to face him with a look of both fear and apprehension. "Maybe you shouldn't come in here...It's a mess."

Brian put 2 and 2 together and chuckled. "You wouldn't happen to have a few pictures of me and the band on your walls, would you?"

Uh oh. "A few posters," I said meekly.

Grabbing me by the shoulders and spinning me around, Brian pushed me into the room and looked around. 'A few posters' meant that an entire wall had been enshrined with BSB memorabilia and Brian couldn't help but laugh at the wave of red that passed over my face.

"You know, you're really cute when you blush."

I just stood there, unsure of what to say. Finally Brian smiled and put me out of my misery.

"I'm flattered. It looks great. Now will you hurry up, we have a bus to catch!"

I snapped out of my embarrassed stupor and resumed my frantic pace. As "Hurricane Darren", as Brian referred to me, threw clothes into a Samsonite, Brian looked at the rest of the room. I watched him with trepidation. My bedroom was clearly not the disaster area that I had claimed. In fact, it was immaculate. No dirty clothes on the floor or rumples bed sheets. Artwork by Bateman and Escher adorned the other walls and two small bookshelves contained various literary classics. Everything from Asimov's Foundation series to Lord of the Rings to The Hunt for Red October. The furnishings were stylish but simple, including a double bed, with matching desk and dresser. A stereo system sat on a ledge next to the window. I prayed Brian wouldn't embarrass me further by checking for one of his CD's. Fortunatly he didn't.

"Done!" I said triumphantly, standing in the middle of the room with a single suitcase (on rollers). "Just let me change these clothes and we can leave."

Ten minutes later, we were back in the cab. We made it back to the hotel with twelve minutes to spare.

Boarding the bus had been a noisy affair, as a large number of fans (mostly female) had showed up to say goodbye, and also to make last-ditch attempts at getting autographs. The boys obliged a few of the fans before the suits came up and reminded them that they had a schedule to keep.

I had already boarded the bus with one of the producers and Phil the bodyguard and as the other members of the band boarded, I sat in a corner of a couch on the driver's side trying my best to look invisible. I hadn't spoken with any of Brian's bandmates since the aborted breakfast earlier in the day and I was very nervous about what kind of reception I would get. Even though Brian had assured me that he had cleared things up with the band while I was asleep, Judging from the earlier reactions, I was not overly optimistic.

Brian boarded and smiled broadly as he saw that I had been ushered aboard -- coming right over and sitting next to me on the couch. Nick sat down next to Brian and the others took up positions on the opposite couch. The producer, a tall, dark-haired man in his mid-thirties by the name of Scott Wilson, sat in a captain's chair immediately behind the door, facing the window. Phil had disapeared to the back.

When everyone had settled, the bus pulled away from the curb and was bathed in the wails of sorrow from the assembled girls, sorry to see their idols go. They would recover.

As the bus cleared the city limits and headed north, Scott Wilson turned around in his chair and stared right at me. The look was serious, but not grim, as I had feared. 'Here it comes' he thought, shifting in my seat closer to Brian.

Scott stood up and began to speak, looking in my direction.

"Well gentlemen, I trust you had a good night's rest." I flinched and felt blush rise in my cheeks.. "Tonight, we are going to Edmonton tonight to play the Telus Stadium. And as you have no doubt noticed," his gaze leveled once again at me, "we have a new member of the team joining us." Scott stepped over and extended his hand, a warm smile crossing his face for the first time. "Welcome aboard, Darren, my name is Scott Wilson. I'm one of the tour producers. I trust you have already met the other band members?"

The question was obviously rhetorical, meant to break the ice. It worked. I started to relax as each of the BSBs greeted the new guy. Brian made a big show of shaking my hand in an exaggerated macho-like manner, causing everyone to laugh.

Scott spoke up again. "As we discussed earlier at the hotel, we have been looking for an Internet Road Manager responsible for maintaining an interactive website of this tour and Brian has recommended you for the position."

The others showed no surprise at the announcement so it was obvious they had been informed while I was home packing.

"Before we get into the specifics, why don't you tell us a little about yourself and then we can throw the floor open to questions."

I finally realized that this was a job interview and not an interrogation. This made me relax further and I allowed myself to smile. As we passed through Airdrie, I began to speak, knowing that whatIe said next could make or break my chance to be with Brian long term.

"My name is Darren Clark and I am 18 years old. I am graduating high school at the end of the year, and have been nominated class valedictorian." That raised a few eyebrows. "And as of yesterday, my future plans include enrolling in university where I plan to get a degree in computer science."

I paused to cough, my throat suddenly dry. Brian leapt to a small fridge that was set flush next to the couch and handed me a bottle of mineral water. After downing half the bottle, I continued, speaking for another five minutes about my likes, dislikes and other personal information before Scott threw open the floor to questions.

"I know this is not part of the job interview," Kevin said, staring directly at me, "but when was the last time you were tested for HIV?"

I was in the middle of taking another drink of water, which suddenly ended up all over AJ as I sputtered and looked at Kevin in shock. Brian on the other hand exploded. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!"

If not for both Nick and AJ jumping up to restrain Brian, he would have punched Kevin, no doubt creating fodder for the tabloids.

"Brian, please! Sit down!" I screamed as Phil came out of the back and pushed the two cousins apart.

Forced back into his seat, Brian continued to protest. "Dammit, Darren, he had no right asking you that!"

I calmly placed my hand on his mouth, silencing any further comment as I looked at Brian eye to eye. Those blue eyes would not make me quiver this time. It was time to go on the offensive.

"He had every right to ask me that. He's your family!" Brian's eyes widened and then closed, as he slowly began to understand. "He loves you and wants to protect you so he had no choice but to ask." I cast a somewhat dirty look at Kevin sitting calmly on the couch before returning to Brian. "I will agree that the question could have been asked more descreetly, but it did have to be asked." Brian relaxed and hung his head in his hands, not wanting to meet anyone's eye right now.

"I'm sorry."

I leaned down and rubbed Brian's neck, softly whispering, "Don't worry about it, you'll make up for it after the show."

That got a chuckle but the head stayed bowed. "As for the question on the table," I said, looking up directly at Kevin, "I have been tested every six months since I turned 16. I have passed them all."

Kevin merely nodded, the beginnings of a smile on his face.

Several other questions about less serious subjects were asked and answered and when the floor was finally closed I put his head down on his briefcase, greatful that the interview was over.

There was silence, and I assumed Scott was taking silent votes from the band. The exhaustian from the last hour hit me and the last thing I heard as a drifted off was Scott saying "Congratulations Darren, you are the newest member of the Backstreet Boys family."

The bus arrived on time at the arena giving the band just over half an hour before the sound check to get something to eat. The in-house caterers had prepared various dishes from vegetarian to T-bone steak to spaghetti and I viewed the spread with intense interest. Kevin had announced that I would be allowed the honor of being first in line, since my falling asleep on the bus was mainly due to a lack of food.

Everyone loaded up their plates, and then sat down at a nicely decorated table to eat. The conversation was mostly about what they remembered from their last show here and what they were going to do different. Occasionally I was asked what I knew about Edmonton, but mostly I was left to eat in peace. There would be time for chit chat once I had some much needed fuel.

The sound check went well and the boys retired to the bus for a pre-show nap. Brian tried to convince me to join him in a dark corner but I begged off, ignoring the swelling in my groin, saying that I had too much work to do. Which was true, I had a mountain of paperwork to fill out. From the employment contract and medical insurance forms to tax forms and a non-disclosure agreement that the suits in legal had dreamt up. It was all just a bunch of mindless drivel, but it had to be done. I handed the last of the documents to the tour secretary and went in search of a phone to call my parents...

Banging B-Rok (Part 5)

It did not start off well.

The yelling started almost from the instant that my father recognized my voice. I was accused of being foolish and totally irresponsible, and he demanded to know how this would affect my graduating high school and going to University. My mother, who was on an extension, was more forgiving. She fussed over me travelling alone at 'such a young age'. A bad move, as I was still smarting from his argument with his father, bristled at the notion that I was too young to do what I wanted and almost hung up the phone. I got a grip on my emotions and explained my side of things. I told them most of what had happened, ommitting certain details, like where and with whom I had spent the night. My parents knew I was gay, but there was no need to complicate matters right now. I also mentioned the mad dash at the house and the meeting with the with the producer, which I claimed occurred immediately after the concert and not the next morning, and the interview earlier in the day on the tour bus. "Dad, this is a dream job for me right now. I can't pass this up."

Robert Clark calmed somewhat when he realized the futility of arguing over a done deal. He still had questions. "What about school? You're not done yet."

"Nick has a tutor and he's going to instruct me as well. I can take my final exams via mail-order, the producers already cleared it with school.

"What are they paying you?"

The amount, in American funds, perked up my father's ears. With the current exchange rate, his son would be making some sizable coin.

"Benefits?"

"Yup. Full coverage."

A few more questions about where I would be travelling and a request that I fax them copies of all documents I signed and Mr. Clark said goodbye, leaving his wife on the line. "Darren?"

"Yes?"

"Are you sure this is what you want? Really sure?"

I could almost see my Mom chewing the arm of her glasses. It was a nervous habit.

"Yes, Mom, I'm sure," a smile creeping into my voice. "It's only been a day and I'm having the time of my life!"

Satisfied that her son was in good hands, she made me promise to call every other day, at the very least to let them know how I was doing. A final goodbye and, breathing a large sigh of relief, I hung up.

His next call was decidedly more upbeat.

"Where the hell are you?" cried Sandra. "I've been trying to reach you all day!"

"Edmonton."

"Excuse me? Edmonton? What the hell are you doing there?"

"Working as a computer technician for BSB."

"WHAT?!"

"I'm serious! They offered me the job this morning!" I then proceeded to tell her a revised version of the story I had fed his parents, drawing the occasional squeal of delight. When I explained that the non-disclosure agreement prevented me from talking about what happened at the hotel, Sandra pouted. She understood the logic of such things, but was nonetheless disappointed. She covered by changing the subject.

"So how long are you gonna be gone?"

"At least a month, until the end of the North American tour. After that, I don't know."

"I hate you," she stated flatly.

"I know," I grinned back into the mouthpiece. "But if I let you drive my car while I'm gone, will you forgive me?" Another squeal of delight and the bargain was struck. "Just promise me that you'll keep the tank full. I don't want sediment in the engine." Susan quickly agreed, and asked about Nick.

"He says hi. He's e-mailing you this morning on my computer."

Sandra again let lose another eardrum-splitting squeal. Finally, as she was about to say goodbye, I added, "Oh, and by the way, his surgery scar is sooo sexy!"

Sandra's scream was cut off as the handset was placed in its cradle.

The show finally began and as requested, I was front and center. The show was a blast. The energy level was incredible and Brian stayed near the front of the stage for most of the show, much to the delight of the ladies on either side of me. Only during dance routines did Brian leave me to join the others in formation. Having gotten over the excitement of being at a Backstreet Boys concert, I decided to have some fun of my own and started making eyes at Brian. A wink here, a grin there and a few suggestive gestures had an adorable shade of pink on the stud's face that I was positive was not from the physical exertion of performing. The last straw came during Everybody (Backstreet's Back) when they got to the questions. Until then, I had been very animated, going along with the crowd and having a good time, but when Brian sang 'Am I the only one?' I stopped dead and just nodded, my expression immediately softening at the words and their meaning. He was the one.

Brian's cheeks colored further and he almost stumbled, somehow managing to hide it with a dance step. He tried to not look at me for the rest of the song. While Kevin and Nick bantered with the audience, the others grabbed swigs of water from the wings and I decided that my lover had been teased enough. A final wink to Brian as I reached into his shirt for the freshly laminated All Access pass that I had been issued (which garnered not a few dirty looks from the ladies beside me) and calmly walked to the gate leading backstage.

The show lasted another forty minutes, allowing me sit in the production office to look over my job description. I would be responsible for coordinating all material from the tour to be published on the Internet, as well as hosting the various chat sessions that the band participates in. Additionally, I was responsible to read all fan email for the band (a job big enough for three people) and monitoring the various BSB newsgroups and websites. Hurtful gossip about the band had to be put to rest quickly and I wondered for the first time if I would have to squelch any rumors about Brian and I.

On the surface, the job was fairly simple. I would get paid to do what I had been doing for free for the last 2 years. I was already a known presence on the BSB newsgroup and on the chat channels. That familiarity would make the transition to official status a smooth one. 'I suppose I'll have to change my email address after this.' I thought wryly.

A press release would be issued in the next week to the Internet and the traditional media naming Darren Clark as the new Net Rep for the Backstreet Boys. It would be noted that 'his technical expertise combined with his knowledge of the groups fanbase made him the perfect choice. His single status made was also a positive factor, as the job required a lot of travel with the band.'

'The spin doctors had worked overtime on this one,' I mused, 'Hell, even I would believe this!'

I was so intent on the screen of my laptop that I never noticed the movement behind me until a pair of arms wrapped around me, scaring the shit out of me.

"Christ!" I screamed, jumping in my seat, but the arms didn't release.

"I'm sorry," said Brian, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Did I scare you?"

'Uh oh. Payback time', I thought, remaining silent.

"Cat got your tongue, huh? Well, I guess we'll have to fix that, won't we?" Brian released me, grabbed me by the hand and leading me to a small washroom at the rear of the production office.

"What are you doing?" I asked, not that I didn't have a good idea what he had in mind. I nervously scanned nearby for anyone who would see us, but the section of the arena was empty.

Brian didn't answer, instead he pushed his lover up against the wall and dropped to his knees, his hands immediately finding the buttons to my jeans and quickly undoing them.

Blood rushed to my crotch as I gave into the sensations of hot breath over my sensitive skin. Brian wasted no time in stuffing my rapidly hardening cock into his mouth, desperate to taste his lovers' seed. Licking the head and getting it slick with saliva, Brian pushed forward along the rockhard shaft until his nose was buried in my cockfur.

"Oh shit!" I gasped, running my fingers through Brian's hair. "God your mouth feels so good, so goood" Brian went faster and began to push back, shoving my dick down Brian's throat. I kept moaning and mumbling unintelligibly, lost in my own world, only able to feel the sensations building up in my cock. Finally I couldn't hold back any further.

"Oh shit, oh God, oh shit...here it comes babe, I'M CUMMMMMINNNG!!!!!

Brian backed off, not wanting to miss a drop. The pearly-white liquid shot out and landed on his tongue, coating the back of his mouth. I shot for what seemed like a eternity, then slumped against wall, totally spent. The events of the last 24 hours had left me feeling drained and I felt that it was all I could do to stand right now.

"C'mon, "Brian said walking back out the door. "The bus is waiting."

Tired from my long day, I grunted in frustration as I struggled with the button fly of my jeans.

"You could at least have undone the belt first." I called after him.

Having made myself presentable, I packed up my equipment and followed Brian out to the bus. Pausing to sign a few autographs for some of the fans that had gathered behind a temporary barricade, Brian then turned to me and motioned toward the bus,

"We're going to our next stop tonight, so we'll be sleeping on the bus."

I stopped short. From my tour of the bus that afternoon I knew that there was six berths, one for each member of the group with the last bunk reserved for Scott Wilson, the group's manager. Where was I gonna sleep?

Brian recognized the worried look on his lover's face and pushed me up the steps anyway.

"We have a surprise for you."

Boarding the bus, Brian signaled to the driver to get going. Brian then took the lumpy laptop briefcase that I had packed in a hurry, storing it under the driver's side couch.

"Your suitcase is in the back so you'll have something clean to wear in the morning."

Jake, the driver, started up the engine and pulled out of the stadium parking lot, beginning the long journey to their next stop.

Just then the door to the back opened and Kevin walked out dressed in a T-shirt and a pair of boxers, looking ready for bed.

"There you are. What kept you?"

I blanched and started to explain when Brian piped up, interrupting me.

"I was helping him with his...equipment."

I suddenly found an intense interest in the floor as my face went from white to red. I looked upwards to see Kevin roll his eyes and look knowingly at me with a sly smile. It was a look of 'I don't know why you put up with his teasing like that.'

"Brian, could I have a moment with Darren?"

This prompted me to raise my head and look worriedly at Brian. Kevin and I were still on rather shaky ground. Brian's expression sobered. Nodding, he kissed me on the cheek, whispering "I love you" before heading into the back.

"Don't worry, you're not in trouble." Kevin said, noting the uneasy look on my face and motioned me to sit on the couch, which I did. "I wanted to apologize."

Excuse me? "Apologize? What for?"

"For asking that question earlier. You were right," he admitted, sitting on the opposite couch. "It was inappropriate of me to have asked such a personal question out in the open like that. I'm sorry."

I noted that he didn't apologize for asking it to begin with. "Apology accepted. I know that you were just looking out for someone you love. I probably would have done the same in your place." I extended my hand and Kevin took it, smiles on both our faces.

"I also wanted to thank you. I never really believed in love at first sight until I saw the two of you together."

I colored at the admission, but remained silent.

"I was watching you in the audience tonight and I've seen many different emotions on the faces of the fans who say that they love us, but yours showed something unique. Sincerity."

Kevin stood and drew me into a quick embrace.

"I know that you love him and that you would never do anything to hurt him. Welcome to the family."

The stress and the emotional overload of the last 30 hours came to a head and I broke down, crying tears of joy as the back door opened and Brian came out, dressed in the uniform of the night, t-shirt and shorts. Wrapping his arms around me, Brian whispered into my ear telling him how much he loved me and that they would always be together. The tender moment was broken when loud cheers and applause erupted from the doorway and the sound of Kevin's voice asking if the could finally get some sleep.

Heading into the back, I discovered that I had been given Scott's berth, which was directly beneath Brian's. I fished through my suitcase for a clean t-shirt and quickly stripped to my shorts, too tired to care that I had an audience. Crawling into the bunk, I received a goodnight kiss from my lover, who then crawled in behind and curled us up together like two spoons in a drawer. We were asleep in minutes.
