Chapter 91

Ask Me

Conner stripped me slowly and I kissed him then we slid beneath the covers and held each other, I had a moment as the adrenaline left me and he pulled me in close.

"I know Brent, I know, and I am sorry I panicked you all. I was mad that someone had invaded our home uninvited than I was with the phone call. What was a wonderful family day has been soured by a news item but I want you to straighten your shoulders and walk tall because nothing will ever harm you or our kids, not while I'm around." That started me off and I couldn't fold myself into his body any more than I was, so I had to be content with his hand slowly moving up and down my back.

"I love you so much," I whispered.

"Me too baby, and I see you are up for a bit of parental sex also." His hand grabbed my dick and yes it was very happy for his touch.

"Teddy stay close to the boys today and don't talk to any strangers please."

"I won't daddy, but can we go, I want to tell the others about the TV."

"Okay let's go." I picked up his backpack it was my turn to drive him while Ray and John babysat and then I think they are going into Go Ship for a few hours.

My new car was huge and seemed empty as my son happily sang to himself in his big boy's seat, we were almost mobbed by his friends when I pulled into the car park and I did something I normally don't do and that is to get out of the car to have a look around. Teddy kissed me then he disappeared into the crowd they all wanted to know what it was like to be on TV. I spied security men patrolling the fences and a couple of men were standing at the main entrance they were only letting kids and teachers in. Mrs. Green agreed to have them here for a short while and she was totally in agreement when we said we were paying for it. Conner didn't want to do it, but I forced him to go to rehearsals, he has to concentrate on being Rick Conners for his fans.

Jill dropped Lukey off then gave me a thumbs-up as she sped off to get to her flight attendant's job, he jumped up and I hugged him then he also suddenly disappeared. I missed my boys so I carefully drove home to be with them.

Jack was just the sweetest little boy when he wants to be and I heard a big "Daddy." shout when I came down the hallway.

"They have been fed Brent and we won't be long, maybe two or three hours." John kissed my cheek and I put the coffee on, then I was going to go through their clothes and toss the smaller ones. It is a never-ending chore and most of it will go to Mary's charity store it would be almost new anyway, they grow so fast. I checked my phone then I checked Con's Facebook page, it was clear and the comments I read were all about, who cares if he's gay he's a great singer, I can't wait for his concerts, Rick could con me anytime, what has he got in those jeans. Some fans were demure but some were downright filthy, it took all my willpower not to answer some of them. I chuckled to myself then closed the iPad down.

I was, as always looking forward to his Melbourne season and when I had driven by Nan's the renovations were coming along beautifully. Geoff had closed for two weeks the dust and noise drove him batty, but he's back on board now. Our friend 'Brae' is still writing up a storm, I don't think he's going to make it in the singing side of it, but his music is so different maybe Cons going to record it for him, he hasn't told me yet but I do suspect Brae's works haven't gone unnoticed.

I cleaned up the many toys that appear from nowhere then I wanted to play with my sons, so I got down on the floor and they jumped all over me for some time. I could see Benny trying to come inside to join in but didn't think it was wise, although he knows he doesn't like it. As I said before he doesn't mind being around me. The tv eventually went on and the babies forgot all about me and decided cartoons were the best thing apart from grandpa's muffins.

They sat quietly and I was at a loss because the house was empty.

The doorbell went and I was pleased I wasn't forgotten, it was Di and the kids out for a walk. She placed little Brenten with the boys and Hope sat on the sofa to supervise.

"Coffee?"

"Yes please Brent, what a day you had yesterday is it all fixed now?"

"Yes I hope so, the security at the school is full-on and I have already sent three messages to Conner he's still worried."

"Well that's the way he gets baby, he's very protective."

"He is, what brings you out today?"

"I was bored so thought I may come and annoy you, I miss Skye's company more than I thought I would."

"How is she doing?"

"You know her Brent she's on top of the world, London is being very good to her, she said she's learning how to throw up at will." She giggled, Skye had done exactly what we had hoped she would, she joined the modelling crowd and has so much work she hasn't got time to scratch. I see her face everywhere on magazine covers and there's talk of a Hollywood career, she's that good.

"When will your shop be open lovely?"

"In two weeks, everything has been purchased and at the moment they are doing the electrics, then they paint. I can't wait to get into it."

"What have you organized for the babies?"

"I will take them until I find a housekeeper. in the meantime, they are with me,"

"Well if I hear of anyone I will let you know." When we are on our own Di and I are like best friends, we talk about our lives and homes, then the children, see normal people, but when Adam or others are around they bring out our silliness. We laugh a lot but today isn't such a day.

"Do you want to load up the strollers and go for a walk down to Nan's I want to see what they are doing with the Prahran market there has been a lot of renovations going on lately.?"

"Yep, give me five minutes." I checked the boys and then bundled them into their stroller, grabbed their travel bag and we marched up the street.

"Italians Brent, I believe it's been purchased by the Italian mafia, they are restoring it," I looked across the street and sure enough just the awesome colors of the building screamed Italian perfection.

"We will have to go for a coffee at the new cafe I believe it's a great place to sit and crowd watch."

"Yes, Gianni's." She replied. We kept walking towards Nan's and stopped at Di's showroom. I could see workmen running everywhere a delivery of tiles was being unloaded it's going to be an enormous space for her company.

At Nan's cafe, we couldn't sit in our usual spot Geoff had closed it all off, too dusty but on the other side it was business as usual so we found a table. The babies were whisked off and Jack's screams were telling me he's helping to make his babycino with chocolate dust on top. It will be winter soon and business will be poor, when Con finishes the Casino gig he will start in his showroom maybe twice a week that will bring in some business for Geoffrey.

The sun had come out and although there was a slight chill in the air it was very pleasant. Curtis has decided he wants to nap and Jack wants more froth and some more of my orange cake. I watched Hope carefully eat her cupcake and little Brent was so heavy-eyed his head kept dropping then that movement would wake him up again. Di placed him back in the stroller and covered him up he was sound asleep in no time. My phone rang and Conner was asking if I had heard from the school, I told him I hadn't. I think he just wanted to see how I was going Grant would be getting an hourly update to him anyway. I told him where I was and I would be heading home soon, he said he was working on the first song of another album then he will be home in time to get to the school. We packed up and strolled back down the street, all three kids were asleep and Hope was holding us up because she wanted to see everything on the way. Usually, she rides on the stroller but today she wanted to walk. I dropped them off and made my way home. John and Ray were there and they said we had to have a meeting when Conner arrives home but they were also eager to go and see Teddy so we put off the meeting until tonight.

"How is everyone?"

"Good Brent we heard a little snippet of gossip if you are interested."

"I'm all ears, John."

"Tan has announced that he and his new stepbrother are a couple and by all the reports he's on top of the world."

"I must ring him soon, his mum will be pleased."

"She was the one that told us, her new beau and her are very happy for him."

I loved Tan, he was such a mixed-up kid at one stage, but he pulled himself together I think the flight school was a godsend.

"And by the way, your sisters glowing." It took me some time to get my head around that statement.

"She's pregnant?"

John grinned and replied.

"Don't say anything, give her this surprise Brent. I kind of guessed because she was glowing. I have seen it many times in my life."

"Well bugger me, good on them, Bobby will be beside himself did you see him?"

"Yes, he's all over the place today couldn't hold a conversation it was like he was distracted." He winked, I thought I would call that florist shop at the market and send her some flowers, why should she have all the fun.

After John checked the boys he then placed some food in the oven to cook for dinner, I went upstairs and ordered a big bunch of flowers from a very nice lady called Alice, she assured me they will be delivered within two hours. I went downstairs and my boys were chewing on a biscuit, I noticed Benny had one also in the backyard. Once I caught Jack trying to take Ben's biscuit off him the snarling scared me a bit at the time, but I know Jack also knew he had overstepped the mark. I sat and had another coffee and John fussed in the kitchen, Ray had gone off to sit on his computer.

"What is the meeting about John?"

"Just business we have to decide whether to buy another ship or just stick with the two we have."

"Is another one needed?"

"I'm not so sure and Rays the same. Bob seems to think we should be doing an American run, at the moment everything we ship there is going cargo plane, it gets expensive and there's a whisper that somethings up with the new market."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you know Iris from the charity functions?"

"Yes, she's lovely."

"Well she was telling Bob at a luncheon last week, the same people that have bought the market are in the wine business, as you know Iris has a winery at Rutherglen. The Cartasso winery is a national treasure in Italy, old money, mafia money so the rumors go. One of the sons has married a local guy from around here and it's his brothers that have bought the market. Iris thinks the older one will start making his wines here in Australia and the Cartasso brand will follow, she also winked at Bob and said this was going to be huge."

I thought about it and said.

"How big?"

"That, I don't know Brent, but it's certainly a heads up from Iris, we can afford another ship but it's the return trips that we have to fill. Bobs putting out feelers now, according to him we have to get a ship as soon as possible apparently."

"I vote yes, if Bob thinks it will work then I'm with him and John, a wink is as good as a handshake in my book."

"Do you think so?"

"I know so, I trust Bobby, so why don't we leave it up to him."

"Okay, I wasn't sure which way to go that's all."

"Are you two ready to go?" Ray came back.

"Con hasn't arrived yet Ray,"

"He's meeting us there I just got off the phone to him." He smiled.

John rushed around and got a picnic basket together while Ray and I got the kids organized. All of us went in their car today and were excited to see Teddy and find out how his day went.

We were early, even Andy and Fran weren't there and no Conner either.

John set up while Ray played ball with the kids I watched the school and was waiting for the bell to ring. Ten minutes later I heard it, Andy and Fran turned up and my man and Grant were running across the field. Kids were everywhere and the most important one and his mates ran towards us.

I almost kissed him endlessly as he fell into my clutches.

"Did you have a good day son?"

"Yes daddy I had to talk about being on tv, it was cool."

"Good, no mishaps?"

"None daddy, wheres dad?"

"Coming he's a bit slow today." I grinned as Con came up behind him then grabbed him to swing him in the air, our son giggled.

Con then kissed me and sat at the table, I suppose he wants to talk, but he didn't have to really because Grant started saying that everything was all right and there were no worries at all.

I spied Bubby out of the corner of my eye, he stood back after Fran cuddled him and was staring at Ray. I heard.

"It's the fifteenth Mr. Ray we have some business to discuss." I suppressed the giggle and within seconds, Ted, Brody, Shaun, and their new recruit Luke were standing behind him. Conner did giggle and said.

"You are in for it now Ray, I hope it doesn't hurt." Ray pursed his lips and said.

"You are right Mr, Bubby, it is the fifteenth and we have a contract to discuss."

"Do you want our terms?"

"That would be nice." He smiled.

"Five thousand dollars for the season and we will throw in the rest of the year for free, and because you have left it to the last minute there is a special clause that says if we don't get the money by the close of business today, the price will be doubled."

"What!! That's not the way to do business Mr.Bubby, there is usually a two-week cooling off period."

"Not in my world Mr.Ray but I'm just a kid what would I know." Bubby grinned.

"That's a steep price, how do I know we will get satisfactory returns for our money."

"You have my word that's enough." He's sticking it to Ray today.

I was trying to listen but Conner distracted me by placing his hand down my track pants, he must be cold.

Ray pulled a folder of paperwork out and laid it on the table then he pulled out a wad of cash and dumped it on top.

"Four thousand and sign this contract, no tricks, it's legally binding."

"Five and I will check the contract ...sir."

The other kids were eyeing the cash off and I heard Shaun say.

"That's a lot of money Bubby are you sure?"

"Leave this to me Shaun, five thousand and a signing fee of five hundred or we walk."

"Five hundred where did that come from."

"My daddy."

"Oh, I suppose he's your financial advisor now."

"Yes, and he's also my new bodyguard, so no tricks yourself, and that's five hundred each." Ray nearly fainted.

"What do you think Mr.Richards are they worth it?" Conner cracked up and couldn't stop laughing he just nodded his head yes and I heard John say.

"Stop teasing him Ray give him the money." Ray was huffing when he opened his bag again and threw more money on the table.

"Now sign it."

"After I read it." Bubby grabbed the cash and contract and his board of directors, then went to the next table to read the contract. It took them fifteen minutes and when he came back he shook Ray's hand and said.

"It's a pleasure to do business with you, Mr. Ray."

"You too Mr, Bubby."

He handed the contract over and gave his mum the money to hold.

"Let's play."

They ran off giggling as Conner came down to earth he was shaking his head and I spied a tear running down his cheek.

"Boy Fran that kid of yours is a tiger." Fran squared her shoulders with pride.

"Just like his father."

"He's not Conner, I was going to offer eight grand but he got in first." He laughed his head off.

Conner couldn't help himself and he replied.

"Ray it cost you seven anyway, you may as well give them the bonus thousand."

He handed another grand over to Fran, his face was now flushed but to his credit, he also started laughing.

"They signed a contract for five years, so there will be no negotiations next year. Fran when you see Daryl tonight tell him to explain to Bubby about the fine print." He started laughing again, my babies came to see what all the fuss was about and Conner dived on them. He played forest friends with them in the nearby bushes I was warmed to hear all their giggles.

Jill arrived and sat down she said she had a wonderful day flying, they had the Wallaby's rugby team aboard and they entertained her to no end with a few stories, they were heading back to Sydney after a tour. Lukey ran over to get his cuddles, and trouble was looming in the background.

"They said they would love to show you how to play rugby, one day maybe and some of them would even like to fuck you." Omg, my fantasy is coming true.

"How did they know about me?"

"Because I said you owned the bloody plane stupid, and they wanted to know all about you, and by the way they all think your braver than they are."

"One hundred words please Jill, on my desk in the morning, I must not swear in front of the children. Good afternoon everyone how was your day." Mrs. Green has arrived.

"One hundred fucking words you have to be bloody joking." Jill stood up.

"Three hundred please, and rising." Mrs. Green stood her ground.

"What the f...?"

"Five hundred miss potty mouth, I feel so sorry for your son he has to put up with that filthy mouth of yours." Andy fell off the bench he was laughing so much and Mrs. Green sat down in his place.

"Now we have that sorted out, tell me, was there any trouble today?" I called Grant over and he gave her a rundown while the kids ran the oval.

Jill was seething but she held her tongue. They outstared each other as Grant talked, there is no way Jill will win, we are all testament to that, including me.

The security will be less tomorrow and he foresaw nothing nasty in the future, Mrs. Green was happy she doesn't have to go to the board now and explain the extra security.

She played with the babies for a moment then left.

"What a bitch." No Jill, not now.

"Seven hundred Jill, on my desk in the morning I must not swear in front of the children." We heard her yell from somewhere in the bushes.

Jill screamed she was so mad and the boys came running.

"Have you been swearing again mummy?"

"No, just angry at something."

"Angry at Mrs. Green we think," Bubby giggled.

"Go play your game little boy don't annoy the adults."

We explained the rules to her once again and added that she's around every corner in every crack of the schoolyard she's not to curse anymore.

"Get stuffed the lot of you. Luke grab your gear, and Conner, expect a call from your rugby fans." I think I was rising just thinking about Con taking on the rugby team.

"No Jill I won't sleep with them." Conner laughed, how disappointing.

"Then be nice to them, they are a great bunch of guys." She winked at me.

I couldn't stop laughing and when Conner got up and started playing ball with the babies my idea of a quick romp in the bushes ended. John cleaned up and Ray helped me carry the kids to the car. I was thinking on the way home that Jill's homework was a bit excessive even for Mrs, Green I hope she avoids her in the future, or maybe she can send Sarah in if she has to talk to her person to person, lawyers are good at that stuff.

"I need to go and buy some more kids clothes Con, maybe I will go for a walk around the market and see what they have."

"You do that baby, and check out the cafe there I believe it's amazing."

"I shall do that." I smiled just as my phone rang.

"Hello sister of mine, did you get your flowers?"

"Yes, you sneaky brother how did you know?"

"Johnny."

"I see I guess I wasn't being very subtle when they were in. I have only got the confirmation myself, Bob's going mental he's already making plans to move."

"What? you are moving?"

"Well we want to be closer to work and we need extra room, he's on the computer now."

"Do you want to tell Conner?"

"Hand me over Brent, he's going to go ape shit." I handed the phone to Conner, he suddenly stood up and looked at me then he babbled about kids and how wonderful, he was so happy for them.

When we confirmed it to Ray and John they weren't surprised and said they had better look for a house nearer to us so all the kids could grow up together.

"I will pay for it," Conner said.

"I will pay for it she's my sister."

"The company will pay for it," Ray said.

"How?"

"Bonus's, Bob will be getting a big bonus this year we will bring it forward."

"God, will they have enough?" I was worried they wouldn't be able to afford it, in the inner city, the prices are shooting up fast.

"Leave it to us, Brent." John smiled.

"It will be our way of saying thank you, that Bob is a goldmine and deserves every penny he gets and so does Darryl, he's worked his ass off this year so a big thank you will be offered."

"What about Rob and Sam?"

"They will be happy." He grinned. Business was good, the move to Go Ship was an amazing decision and while we are all here I said.

"I vote for buying another ship, Conner?"

"I go with you."

"Okay then we are all in agreement, I will get Darryl onto it first thing."

"That's wonderful news Brent a new baby in the family," Con smiled.

"Daddy, dad!" Ted screamed as he ran over to his father.

"What son?"

"Shopping." He giggled then Conner chased him back to the couch, he laughed as Con tickled him then they made a shopping date.

It was wonderful news for my dear brother-in-law and sister, they fully deserve it but I don't know how Jenny is going to cope, she loves her job so like Diana she will be looking for a nanny/ housekeeper soon. That is something Conner and I toyed with for a moment but Ray and John got offended so the subject was forgotten. I thought about it and when my mind moved to grandparents I felt sorry for mum, she is missing out on her grandkids but greed and selfishness don't work well with Jenny and me. I haven't heard from mum or dad for ages I suppose they are still driving each other up the wall.

We all moved on after dad's disgusting performance with Teddy, he went to jail for six months and there's no way that I or Conner would have him around any of our kids.

We opened a wine and saluted them both, I suppose they will be doing some celebrating themselves tonight and I intend to do some with Conner later on.

Dinner was delicious as usual. Teddy was sitting at the table with us now he's a big boy and there isn't much on tv at this time of night. The babies were on Conner and John's knees banging away with spoons, they had a pile of mashed potato pie peas and gravy tonight with extra puff pastry. Ted had almost drowned his with tomato sauce much to John's disgust, but he held his mouth shut. We don't chastise Ted for being just a kid it seems so unfair to be on his case all the time so we decided that only the important things we would talk out with him, tomato sauce isn't one of those things, at least he's eating right.

My legs dropped to the bed as Conner moved to his side, it's not over yet he has some serious kissing to do before we go to sleep.

"That was awesome Con, are you sick of me yet?"

He pulled himself up on one elbow and looked at me.

"Never, your just as awesome as the first time, even better I love you so much, Mr. Walsh." I smiled and once again Conner has warmed my heart and my insides.

"What album are you working on Con?"

"We have bought Bray's music, sorry I didn't tell you but I didn't think it was that important, so I'm working on them at the studio."

"Well that's not a surprise his music is wonderful and so different,"

"It is Brent, I will be doing the one I was rehearsing today at my concerts, a surprise for him."

"Great I can't wait to hear it. Did he get a good deal?"

"Yes baby, you know I wouldn't rip him off and he gets a percentage of sales. He will be a wealthy man in six months, if not already because we also paid him a small fortune for his work." He giggled.

I have no idea what songs cost nowadays and leave all that up to Conner and Marty, but the album should be a best seller for Con and Brae.

I drifted off to sleep after Con wanted to have another go at my bum I had kept him talking too much and he had risen again, much to my surprise so had I, his eyes will do that to me anytime anywhere.

One baby crying and one who had destroyed his nappy again, I placed them both naked on the changing table and threw sheets and pillowcases in the wash basket. Conner arrived shortly after and helped me soothe Jack and wipe Curtis down, then we filled the baths to get them both a good soaking. When Jack calmed down we got a smile out of him as I placed him in his plastic bath that was now filled with bright yellow ducks. I washed hair and bums then we dressed them for their day, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary just a normal family day.

After grabbing bottles and coffee I went about my business and got Teddy ready for school. I worry too much about my family so much has gone on in the last year I guess that's what I'm supposed to do, worry about the kids. I didn't have to worry about Ted though he's getting so big.

Today I am going to the market to see if I can get him some new jeans but I need him to be with me to try them on, I will go anyway I want to see what they have done with the old market.

Conner swaggered around in his underwear and my ass twitched remembering last night's marathon. I like him like this all swagger with a touch of rock star attitude.

"What are you doing today Con?"

"More rehearsals at the casino baby, I can't wait to get started on the shows."

"And after?"

"Working on the new album, but I can take my time with that."

"Okay, so you will be home more often."

"Brent any time any day anyhow you want it, I got this baby." He kissed me.

"Eh?"

"You were awesome last night, I wanted you to know I'm up for it anytime you want."

"Thank you." I kissed him back, he's talking in riddles again.

"Teddy, are you almost done?" John said.

"Yes grandpa, give me a minute."

"Teddy you will be late."

"Coming." He jumped off the couch kissed his brothers and us then he was out the door ready to start another school day, I will miss him.

"Hurry up grandad," he yelled.

Conner left shortly after and after a lot of kissing at the front door I toyed with his offer and wanted to go back to bed.

"Not now Brent, but anytime after today." He winked and swaggered out to meet with Grant, so much for promises.

After lunch and three loads of washing, I got the boys ready to go up to the market. I did call Di but she was otherwise committed to supervising the tiling of her new place, so I strolled up to the corner and across the road then entered the market. It was beautiful and certainly had some big money spent on it. The glass dome was sparkling and I see they have extended it out and utilized a lot of wasted space. I looked at the fresh pasta stall but thought John would have a hissy if I bought that. I walked down one aisle and looked at jeans for Ted but again I will leave that to John, he knows sizes.

The florist shop was buzzing, and I guessed that was where I ordered Jennys flowers from. Gianni's cafe was pure Italian class Jack was giving me grief again, he loves his cafes and can smell coffee from miles away.

I yelled at him as I pulled up, then a good-looking guy who introduced himself as Antonio stood up and offered me a seat and high chairs.

A lady darted out of the florist shop and started talking to Jack and Curtis, Antonio winked at me and said she loves babies.

He ordered the cino's, coffee and cake and then he sat with me talking like we were old friends, I didn't know then but we would be destined to become good friends, he said Gianni was his husband and he had four babies. I grabbed the boys and ushered them into the florist shop where I found three identical babies thick dark curls and all, talking their heads off. It was amazing and I met the crazy brothers-in-law and the husband along with my old friend Iris who I knew from the charity. We eventually moved out the back of the cafe and the wine was opened. Not being a big drinker I just had a small glass as we talked about babies and gorgeous asses. They will see my Conners gorgeous ass when he arrives to pick us up.

They were typical Italians who goaded laughed and joked their way through our conversations, I think Conner is singing at the restaurant next door the owner is a little spunk named Angelo.

When Conner arrived they got louder and I can see from his face he was in his element, he was prodded touched and generally admired by Gianni's brothers but his stay was short. After he played with the babies we had to leave to go pick Ted up. We promised after a bit of prodding to come to the Italian club one night soon. I thought it was only there for Italians but was reassured we all would be safe and welcomed with open arms if we came by, and we were to bring the kids.

"What a great bunch of guys Brent, did you get Angelo's phone number?"

"Yes husband, and I will keep it well and truly away from you."

"Awww, your no fun."

"I am fun, that's the point, no trying to bed him without me okay, and the Wallaby team?"

"Okay, I wouldn't have it any other way, your welcome anytime."

"Good." I grinned.
