Chapter 79

We waited another two weeks until we got a phone call from Hildy, by now we were getting worried.

She finally rang one Monday morning and wanted to come and see us, our stomachs churned as we all waited at the apartment for her. She swept into the flat and immediately made a beeline for Conner, she threw her arms around him and held him close.

"Good, now I've met a rock star, I can tick that off my bucket list." She laughed at Con's shocked face. I introduced her to Ray and John and he offered coffee.

"It's been a hectic month for me boys. I am sorry I haven't been in touch. Two dear friends of mine had a bit of trouble at their wedding, you would have read about it in the news."

"Yes we did Hildy, are they going to be okay?"

"Yes Brent, they are tough country boys their oldest son came through our adoption process. He was born with a cleft pallet; his parents didn't want him so my friend Zack took him on. His mate Booker, in turn, adopted an aboriginal boy called Lucky he was the one that got shot."

"It's a terrible story, Hildy, I hope things get better for them I really do."

"Oh it will boys, they eventually had their wedding in the hospital and the big town party was two weeks later it was a blast."

I placed the coffee next to her and she still had a hold of my husband's hand, he looked at her and said.

"Do you want a selfie?"

She had that phone out faster than you could say smile and snapped away as Conner grinned into it.

"I will send one to my friend Zack, he will be so jealous the only celebrity he knows is Dexter Walsh." She laughed.

"So your friend is Zack Tierney they guy on Dexter's show?"

"Yes my lovely man, they met when Zack was living in Melbourne for a time." I remembered he was a serious looking spunk.

"Now, I have set up the adoption with judge Wilson at the children's magistrate court for this Thursday, around ten am. I don't want you to worry too much because he almost always goes with what I recommend, and if there's any doubt I am prepared to go that one step further and blackmail him into it."

She laughed again, it was good to hear.

"All jokes aside kids, it's in the bag, so don't worry."

"Do we need to take a lawyer?" Conner said.

"If you want to, but I don't think it will be necessary, no one has come forward to claim the children, and I don't think anyone will." She was confident about that, but I think we will take our lawyer anyway.

She left as fast as she arrived, she said something about a government campaign she had to run or something. We were a bit stunned with her over confidence, so the first thing Conner did was call his lawyer. Grant had been sitting in on the meeting and he asked Con if he would mind if he made some discreet inquiries, of which Con replied yes he would appreciate it if he could. He got onto his team and started talking to someone when he moved to the balcony.

In the meantime, life goes on once again. I was living in fear for the next four days and held my babies as much as I could, even hiding away with them in our room so I could talk to them and tell them how much we loved them. We were to bring the kids to the court with us and the lawyer was armed with all sorts of arguments and paperwork that showed us as good people.

Grant turned up nothing, and that relieved us a little bit but Conner was getting edgy and his patience was wearing thin.

With the grandad's, Grant, the lawyer and the boys we turned up to be greeted by Hildy. It was to be a closed court and wasn't expected to last more than fifteen minutes.

We filed into the cleared courtroom, the grandad's sat at the back with Grant and we were seated at the front with the babies and our lawyer. Judge Wilson greeted us with a smile, he was a man in his seventies, and he had a very kindly face. He asked Conner and I some questions then he asked Hildy, she was very official with her answers and recommendations. He asked our lawyer about our financial situation and I guess he was impressed with Conner's net worth. My stomach threatened to heave its contents onto the polished floor.

"Well, I can't see any reason for the boys not to be adopted by these two fine young men, so I will make a ruling today and not hold you all up any further."

"Not so fast your honor." A voice came from the back of the courtroom. I turned around and saw a scruffy guy stand up.

"And who might you be sir?" Judge Wilson asked.

"I'm the kid's father." I nearly fainted, gone in one second, my babies were being taken away by a stranger, a scruffy deadbeat father.

My tears flowed down my cheeks as I sat there in shock. I could hear the judge ask him some questions and I also heard Conner sniffling. The place turned into a madhouse as John confronted the man and was repeatedly asking him to prove it. He screamed so loud I had to scream back.

"Stop it stop it!!" The court security was called and John was removed from the room.

The judge was in a bind, he couldn't prove the man was my boy's father and neither could the man, so he suggested a DNA test would clear that up. He looked at our faces and apologized for upsetting what would have been a wonderful day for us.

He ordered a DNA test and Hildy argued with him once more. He ordered that the boys could come home with us and we would meet again in two days. In the meantime, unbeknown to us, Grant had written the man's name and address down and went out into the hallway with his phone at the ready.

There is no way on heaven or earth that man will get his hands on our boys. I don't care how much it costs us, he won't get them. I was making plans in my head to fly to New Guinea to my friend the general's place, no one would find us there. We were to leave after the court doctor swabbed Jack's mouth and the apparent fathers. I looked him in the eyes and my inner self was saying you're a liar, you're a liar, you are not their father.

Conner approached him and said.

"How much do you want?"

"A million dollars." I could have strangled the guy; he was selling his sons to us in full view of the judge.

Grant was breathless when he came back, he wanted us all to calm down, Hildy was up at the desk talking to the judge when Grant approached them.

"He's a criminal, he is well known for his scamming he found out about the adoption from a court reporter, who by the way has gathered up a media frenzy out the front. He's here to see if he can blackmail Conner and Brent. Judge you should look up his history." Grant was now yelling and he even ran back and grabbed the shocked man by the neck and dragged him up to the desk.

Judge Wilson and the security guards calmed everyone down and he searched his computer and smiled.

He banged his gavel on the desk and said.

"Quiet, all of you. Mr.Tilly you were only just released from prison a month ago, and I believe you had just finished three years, so you can't be the father of these boys. Arrest this man and I will deal with him later. Boys you now have two sons, this is not a custody order this is a full adoption order. I will talk to you further when the court has cleared, clear the court please."

The doors opened and Mr. Tilly was being led out, just as John screamed through the door and tried to strangle him, he even got in a lucky punch No one gets in between grandpa and his boys. I started laughing at his face and he went redder than he was earlier on.

"Congratulations grandad. we will meet you outside in a few minutes. Conner was so relieved, he didn't know where to turn so he turned to me, then he kissed me,

"Congratulations daddy."

"Congratulations to you too daddy." He picked Jack up and kissed him endlessly.

We sat with the judge and Hildy, he even got a nurse of little Curtis as he signed the orders that will make them our sons.

In disbelief, I walked from that courtroom with Curtis in my arms straight into a throng of reporters. We had forgotten what Grant had said and tried to go back into the courthouse but it was blocked by people coming out. We ignored their questions as Grant got our car.

"Sorry boss you are too quick for me, we should have planned for this."

"How the hell did they find out anyway?" Conner asked.

"I have no idea, loose lips sink ships, but I will endeavor to find out."

Grant drove us down the road until he deemed it safe to stop, we then secured the babies into their car seats, John and Ray would slip into the car park and won't be too far behind us. I don't now how Hildy fared, we forgot about her too.

When we arrived home we flopped onto the sofa and tried to calm down a bit. John and Ray came up, and he started the coffee.

"You got a great right hand, John," Conner said.

"When it comes to my family I have a hand gun too."

"What?" I said.

"Joking Brent, but he had it coming. Bloody scum of the earth he is, and I will see to it he gets what's coming to him too. I know people." He was serious.

He was setting the table with his plates of sandwiches and assorted party fare. A big welcome to the family cake was placed in the center of it.

"Grant can you get one of the men to pick Ted up, I'm too upset, he might pick up on it." He said to Grant.

"Sure." He flipped his phone out and gave the order. I heard him say.

"And use the sirens too." he laughed.

I think Teds about to be whisked away in a cop car, that will make his mates jealous. John had already organized the celebration party, and when Hildy arrived beaming from ear to ear, she joined us.

"My friend hasn't laughed so much in years' boy's; you do put on a good show Mr. Conner's." She laughed. Conner beamed as he held Jack gently.

We waited for Teddy to arrive and when he did he was all talk, he was that excited about the sirens and they even handcuffed him and made sure he made it to the lift, he had an awesome time. we told him his brothers were with us forever, and he screamed as he hugged both of them, then he saw the cake.

That was it, he couldn't contain himself he insisted that grandad cut him a piece, which John did gladly with love in his eyes.

"Thank you Grant; without your help, we were useless, to say the least," I said to my friend later on.

"That's my job boss, looking out for my family too." He grinned as he kissed Curtis, and yes welcome to my little family Grant. Do you want to sleep in with us tonight?

Conner was watching me as he always does, and I bet you a million dollars he has got sex on his mind tonight. I shifted myself around so my balls were on show through my pants, Grant slapped my hand and told me not to be such a slut in front of my children. I straightened up and went to the bathroom, Conner followed, he had me up against the tiled wall and started kissing me, our foreplay has started.

Teddy had what he called, a fabulous day, but he was tired now. Hildy left laughing her ass off, and Grant had retired to his bedroom. We put the boy's to bed and Teddy was read a part of his story. Ray had almost done his homework for him, and all was good in Teddy's life. We went to shower, and Conner had a premature accident so that knocked him out for the next hour. I waited until he was ready to go again and he involuntary cum again. That was my celebration night and I made him promise he would be good to go in the morning.

We slept soundly, the babies weren't hungry so they slept quietly beside us. They did get hungry at six in the morning so I got up to feed them. John and Ray were up and took the babies and I went back to bed. My man was exhausted, yesterdays fiasco had caught up with him and he was too tired to even rise to the occasion. I was so mad I pulled myself and came all over his chest.

"Get that will you Con." I leaped out of bed laughing my ass off and went to find my kids.

He came out scratching his chest this time, it does get rather itchy sometimes. He smiled at me and grabbed Jack then sat and cuddled him. Teddy arrived and sat at the table I think he was thinking he was going to get some more cake for breakfast, but John had other ideas. A plate of toast was placed in front of him, so being the good boy he was he carried it over to Conner and sat with him while his cartoons played.

I rang Mary and she already knew what had transpired, but was very pleased it all turned out okay. I then did some washing, Grant had placed some of his clothes in the basket and it took all my willpower to not start sniffing his undies.

"I can do that Brent." He poked his head in.

"No, I got it going now I may as well do yours too." I smiled.

"Pervert." He laughed as he went to find his morning coffee. I stood there with a red face. I heard Conner laugh too, I think I have been set up.

Teddy was ready for school and he had good answers for his mates about the cop car that picked him up, and half a cake to share with them at playtime. He kissed his brothers and father's goodbye and then he scooted off with the grandad's to school.

That left Grant Con and me. We talked small talk for a while mainly about Grant's plans for the future, which he had none. Then I had a very nasty idea but shelved that when Conner stared at me. Grant got up and went to his room to get something. He came back with a magazine in his hand.

"I did this before I met Stan, you can look if you want."

It was one of those muscle men magazines and guess who was on the cover. Conner and I had a great perve at Grants Gym photos, he was featured as an ex SAS regiment officer. His tight buns were on show, because he was naked all over. No dick pics but we let our imagination rule us.

Conner smiled as I blushed, he was frigging magnificent.

"That's all you two get to see." He took the magazine and returned it to his room.

"I have to go out for a while, I might be an hour, might be two." he grinned as Con tried to subdue his stiffie.

We raced to the bedroom and our clothes went everywhere as we fell on the bed frotting like crazy. We made it last this time because there was no one about to interrupt us. He did me I did him, then we did each other, all the while those images were in my head. But at the end of the day, Conner was more special, I loved him, I wasn't in love with Grant, just his body.

One baby cried then the other so we had to get out of bed to attend to them.

"How far have you got with the movie Con?"

"Nearly half-finished baby, then I can devote more time to you and our sons." He kissed me as he fed jack.

"Good."

It was the best time living in the apartment with all our friends, and it will always bring a smile to my face. No grey thoughts because it was so different from when I lived in the block. The house was nearly completed and we will move back in a few days. We had already been going there mostly every day and we even went with Di to pick out some new furniture.

Teddy was excited to get a new bed, he had to check them all and in the end, he settled for a double-decker one with a pull-out mattress under it so if his brothers wanted to spend the night they would have a bed each. Di had installed a big chandelier in the music room, he wowed and jumped up and down when he saw it. He also got a bonus in his room, it was installed into the roof cavity with steps up to it. His own private little hideaway room.

We got a big bedroom with an awesome bathroom, three times bigger than our old one. The house was magnificent, Home Beautiful even did a spread on it and Di's business took off in earnest.

My new kitchen was huge, it had four ovens and two dishwashers, and the grandad's retreat was beautiful, a little different from ours but it blended in perfectly. There were remote control bi-fold doors we could open to make our entertainment area bigger, but when we or they wanted privacy they would be kept closed.

Teddy played with them until he exhausted himself and Cons trinket cupboard had a facelift and once again sat proudly in our big room. The safe was installed upstairs in our bedroom, behind a false wall, it was bolted to the steel girders that crossed the property. I can now play with Conner's trinkets and my diamonds on the bed if I wanted to.

Two more blue ones had appeared on our anniversary night at the apartment, I can't believe it's been nearly four years since we started our lives together. Ted was also getting older he will be in grade three next year almost a college boy now. I was chuckling to myself when Conner came home, he grabbed the twins and they immediately reacted to his touch by squealing.

"Is everything done now?"

"Yes Con, we move for real tomorrow, we don't have to do much except move ourselves. We can come back and get whatever we leave behind, then Di is coming in to check all's good with this apartment."

"Good, I can't wait to get back to some sort of normality." I stared at him and said

"If you think it's going to be normal, think again buster."

He laughed along with me then he went back to playing with his sons.

The move was smooth, my little ones were happily playing in their new room next to ours, and Teddy was directly across the hall. Grant took the extra bedroom, for now, he didn't want to stay in the apartment by himself. I checked Ted's room out late in the afternoon and he was still settling his cubby room. I noticed his baseball bat had made it in there, it's a good sign because he's thinking if anything bad happens he can go into it and hide with his bat.

The babies were happily playing with their rattles that were strung across their cribs and Conner had stopped working to watch them. A monitoring system had been installed and we could watch our three sons from the TV in our bedroom or the one in the family room. I wondered if there was a camera in Grant's room. There was, but it had been turned off until the babies wanted their separate rooms, but that will be a few years off yet.

I went to the family room and my heart almost skipped a beat, it was magnificent. So bright and so clean and new, I wondered if Ray had organized a cleaning company. It was a palace for a very special family, my family.

It didn't take John long to find his way around the kitchen, it was fully stocked in no time and the coffee was brewing.

"Sit down son, I'll bring it over." I sat at the big table and took it all in until John sat next to me.

"Now, we need to talk."

"Oh?" Conner came down the stairs and got himself a coffee then sat with us.

"We have organized a cleaning company to come in once a month, I will mark it on the calendar so you don't forget, you can use those days for shopping or visiting maybe. they will only do three hours and they are efficient. Now Brent, do you want a laundry service to call or are you confident enough to do it yourself?"

I gave him my best stare and laughed.

"I can do it, John, it's a no brainer. It's about the only thing I can do with you here and anyway I now have two washers and dryers it will be a breeze."

"Good." He had his business cap on and wasn't going to put up with my nonsense.

Grant sat with us before he had to head off to work, he thanked us again and said he would do his own washing, did he just smirk at me?

"This house will almost run itself, the accounts will go directly to Go Ship and Sam will pay them, the only thing we have to do is food shopping which I insist, I do."

Again he's not going to give me a hard task.

"I can help."

"No son, you have children to look out for, the stairs for one will have to have gates installed when they start moving around. Now if you want privacy, and when Conner's writing songs on the piano you can close the doors with the remote. we will be staying out of your way and it will be like the old routines we had going. I'll do the cooking and Teddy will help me." He ran his hand over Teddy's hair, then carried on.

"Grant we have to find you a place to live, so I have put the word out down the street, maybe someone will want to sell."

"Thank's John, I should be doing that myself, just been a bit preoccupied lately that's all."

"We understand, but you're a young strapping boy who needs his own space, so we want to help."

"Okay, I will leave it up to you both then." He smiled and gave Johnny one of his magazines looks.

I wanted Grant to have his own space, he doesn't have to be stuck in here with us all the time, maybe we should take him to the gay clubs and find him a special friend.

Conner told me, later on, he has put the word out with Dave and Phil that maybe Grant was on the market again. They know some serious ex-air force guys, maybe there's someone amongst them that's looking for a hunky husband to ride.

We could hear the boys moaning so Con and I went to get them we used their carry baskets to get them up and down the stairs, so we could hang on with some security. I think they could hear us because they settled down when Grant and John took them.

I placed a big rug on the floor and they can play there if they are allowed to.

Teddy had so much fun exploring with Benny, he didn't get his pool because the backyard was small, but some grass was laid for Benny to do his business on. I didn't know what to do with Di, she had done an awesome job with the house, I wanted to buy her a thank you present, maybe I will look in the safe for a fine pair of earrings, I know there are several pairs in there.

And Adam, well I will find something special for him too. I had no idea how much it all cost, and Ray wasn't telling me either he just said that it didn't make a dent in my bank balance.

When Teddy arrived home John immediately started preparing dinner, Jack was passed to Conner and he got on the floor with him and started singing.

"What's that song Con?"

"For the movie baby, it's another winner I think." I then noticed Ted had moved into the music room and was laying on the floor looking up at the chandelier. I indicated to Conner he better go and lay with him and give all the crystals a name, because it was different from the one at the apartment more deco. He nodded and left Jack on his own so Grant took over. I didn't get a look in with the babies until bedtime. I watched father and son go through every dangling crystal then when they had finished he sat Ted on the piano stool and started playing his new song. It was awesome and even John stopped and listened to it.

"I could never tire of his voice Brent, I love that there is music in the house again, real music, not that awful rock stuff." he giggled.

Grant even stopped to listen but after the third rendition Teddy was bored again, so he joined Jack and now Curtis on the floor.

"Want a hand, John?" I offered. He came over to the table and shoved a bowl in front of me.

"Shell the peas please."

I giggled and started my chore, I wondered if there was any washing to do at the same time, my machines are waiting for me.

We had Marty and Di for dinner tonight and our new huge table accommodated them with plenty of room to spare. She was loaded up with accolades and little Brenton was starting to roll on the floor, so he found a spot next to the twins and tried to talk to them. Hope sat on Marty's lap, she loved her daddy so much she couldn't stop staring at him. He and Conner were having a conversation about the movie, and how far he had advanced with it.

"I have sent a few finished files already, and they are very pleased with them. I think the album is going to be a winner, and the movie, of course, they, will have to adjust some of it to fit the songs but that's expected."

"Good, then the Australian tour is on again." Conner nearly bent over and laughed.

"Not happening Marty, not while the babies are small anyway."

I was proud of Conner's will to be with his family constantly, and Marty understood more than we knew, I think he thinks much the same as Con.

We all had a lovely family night, but it had to come to an end the babies had gone to sleep and Ted needs his story. He wasn't scared in this new house because he knew that his dad's watched him sleep because we showed him the cameras and the TV in the bedroom. He knew we were just across the hall if he wanted to curl up with us and it didn't take him long to do just that, it wasn't because he was scared, although he was still excited with everything. By the end of his holiday, he had slept with us four times then he wanted to sleep in the baby's room too, which was okay there was an extra bed in there. Di had installed a butler's kitchen next to our bedroom so we didn't have to go downstairs if the kids wanted a drink during the night. It was well planned out as a family home that's for sure.

Conner and I took them all to the Zoo and then down to the docks to watch some ships being loaded, Ted had a great holiday, we saw to it he was never ignored, and included in every aspect of our lives, after all, he was a very special boy and we adored him to bits.

The house was very quiet tonight, there was just Conner and myself staring into each other's eyes and doing some gentle rubbing. We were gearing up for a good romp but for the moment we wanted to be on our own under the blankets.

I kissed him he kissed me, I stroked his hair, he stroked mine. We heard Grant's bed squeak down the hallway and that was it. Con rolled onto his side and our lovemaking started in earnest as I gave him some beautiful feelings inside.

We made love for ages and I thanked the Gods that be for everything that had been given to me for the past four years and I thanked Con for his awesome ass.

Just a normal morning at Richard's house, John was making an egg and bacon pie and Ted was helping him. His giggles alerted his brothers who I had hoped would sleep some more. I went to get them just as Conner was coming down the stairs.

"Want to get one for me?"

"Sure."

As soon as we arrived into their room they went silent and Conner was on his knees having a taste of morning Brenton Walsh's dick. I heard Grants shower go on and let fly, then I attended to my man.

"Con, do you have to go into the studio today?"

"Yes baby, finishing touches they want for the movie."

I didn't know he was that close to finishing the job, and I suppose he was doing the album at the same time.

John said that the cleaners will be in today and suggested I go see Di for a few hours, he and Ray were going into work.

With Di's business taking off, I had better ring first and see if she's going to be home otherwise I might go into Go Ship and hang around there for a few hours.

The pie was wonderful Teddy did a good job, and then he got himself ready for school.

"Clean underpants on?"

"Yes, dad." He giggled.

"Got lunch money in your pocket."

"Yes daddy"

"Washed your hands?"

"Yes, dad." He leaned into Conner I think he was tired of the questions.

"Good, you're ready to go then."

Finally, he gets to go to school after a few hugs and kisses.

I helped John clear up then I rang Di. Thankfully she was home today so I started getting the kids ready. They are growing so fast, I can't keep up with their jumpsuits but managed to find a couple that fit them. I have to do a shop soon because with Ted's footy and the boys putting on weight the clothes don't last long.

"I need to do a shop Con, sometime in the next few days I think."

"I'll come with you." His eyes lit up.

"Conner, please no more toys their room is full and they only play with their favorites anyway. It's a waste of money."

"I wasn't going to buy any toys Brenty, I was going to buy something grown-up for Teddy this time."

"What sort of grown-up present Con?"

"Don't know until I see it." He grinned.

"Okay, you can come then but no expensive contraptions okay?"

"Okay." I'm sure once again his fingers were crossed behind his back.

Conner left with Marty, then I placed the boys into the stroller and walked up to Di's place.

She was the perfect mother really, she had Hope playing with some building blocks and little Brent was gurgling away sitting upright on the floor trying to help his big sister.

Di's table was covered in color charts and notes. I sat down with my coffee and rocked my boys, they had fallen asleep again.

"What's all these Di, it looks like your working on ten things at a time?"

"I am, all this on the left is Adams work, I have to double-check it, then approve them, then I have to work fittings in with his ideas. He's a bloody godsend Brent; I don't know where I would have ended up without him."

"You should take him on board full-time honey."

"Cant, as you know he loves the flight attendant job."

"And my boys," I said rather sarcastically.

"And your boys." She laughed.
