Chapter 74
I heard the back door slam and Teddy called out, so I quickly grabbed my shorts and opened the bedroom door. Conner had gone back to sleep and as I greeted my son in the hallway he was full of questions. He wanted to know where we were today and what were we doing, then he wanted to know if he needs to take anything into the granddad's place for his little holiday. I told him if he hasn't got what he wants with him he could just come and get it.
I placed a sandwich down in front of him and he sat at the table to eat it. He started tinkering with that ship they were putting together, then he lost interest.
"Dad, are you going to miss me?"
"Yes son, I always miss you, even when you go to school I miss you."
"Really? I will miss you and dad too."
"But you will have grandpa to talk too, I hope you enjoy your little holiday son."
"Yes dad, grandpas going to show me how to make ten-minute biscuits. Dad, can I open a restaurant?"
I nearly fell off my seat.
"Why a restaurant son?" He laughed.
"So I can cook dad, your silly. I can make lots of money in a restaurant if grandpa teaches me that is."
"So what are you going to cook, cookies and scones maybe." I know he knows how to make scones I watched him do it.
"Of course daddy, and some coffees too."
"Sounds alright to me is grandpa John going to work for you too?"
"Dad I need him to show me how to do it."
"Okay you talk to him about it, and I will finance the business."
"Really dad?"
"Really." I was happy inside maybe John will open that restaurant after all.
Conner came in just as Ted switched the TV on, I made him a coffee and we sat opposite each other our legs intertwined and I told him all about his son wanting to open a restaurant. He smiled and replied.
"Then it looks like you will have to cook for us then."
My stomach sank if Teddy does do that we will lose our chef, and I don't want to go back to cooking again.
"Oh sorry I just got lost in the moment Con, maybe I better discourage him."
He slowly moved his big toe inside my shorts and was seeking out my balls, I moved slightly to make them easier for him to find.
John and Ray came in looking a bit flushed so Conner said.
"That was a quick one kids." He laughed.
"Haven't got the time to do the whole nine yards nowadays dinners to prepare, grandkids to look after."
"You both should go down to Sorrento for a weekend, get away from it all for a change." I offered my advice. John stared at me and said,
"You will all starve if I wasn't here."
"No we won't, there's always home delivery."
The restaurant was all forgotten when Conner started in on that ship again. Ted noticed and was immediately at the table helping his dad and Ray placed some more pieces together. It was looking magnificent and Ted already had a place for it to sit in his bedroom, so much for my present but I don't mind, it can collect dust in his room.
Dinner was awesome and Con was tinkering on his guitar then he got his keyboard out and started playing on it. I wondered if he would teach me to play the piano when we get one. I have never been musically inclined, but when I met Con everything changed and I can now see his creations from the first note. I liken it to reading a good book, if it doesn't have that musical rhythm in the wording, I don't read it. It's the same with music, but I will always listen to Cons music, even without words it can caress every part of my being.
We both dropped Ted off to school the next morning. He got extra hugs from us and then he ran off to find his mates.
Then we headed straight for the airport to go to Sydney.
Within thirty minutes we were pulling into the hanger. Grant waved us goodbye and Phil and Dave were waiting at the cabin door we hugged and had a short conversation then we headed for the seats.
Grant won't be coming with us because he has football to umpire and Ted to look after. We didn't need him on this trip and Ted is more important than us.
Guess who, was on board today. He was guarding the galley as he greeted us, it was so good to see him.
Adam made us all a coffee and passed around the chocolate biscuits, there isn't going to be a big meal today the flight is too short, but he did say he had sandwiches on board. Once in the air things started to relax, and somewhere deep down inside I started missing our son badly. I had to push those feelings down and concentrate on the task at hand, my Conner. I talked to Adam about his new job with Di, he was so excited to be able to do it, and he pulled out a folder with his sketches. I looked through the pages and kept shaking my head they were good, very good, but I wouldn't expect anything less from him. His reading me the riot act on the phone that day was his way of saying he was very happy.
Phil came and sat with us and we talked about London a bit but it seemed like a lifetime ago to me. That dreaded feeling stayed with me throughout the flight and I kept wondering if Ted would get scared in the night and go looking for us.
"Brent stop it." Conner took my hand.
"Stop what?"
"Worrying about Teddy."
"I wasn't.... well do you blame me, he might get scared and we won't be there to comfort him."
"He's got his granddads; they love him just as much as us."
"I know Con, but I can't shake it."
"Neither can I baby, but we must do this."
"Yes, it's important for your work, I'm with you but I won't pretend I don't miss him."
He pulled me in for another of his wonderful kisses as Adam placed a tray of sandwiches in front of us.
"Are you staying the night Adam?" Con asked.
"No I catch the next flight out, Rob and I have a dinner date at Di's we are going to discuss business. You can do the flight home, Brent, just leave my bloody cupboards alone." He smiled.
"Adam can I ask you a personal question."
"Sure Brent what is it?"
"Are you and Rob going to get married now it's going to be made legal?"
"If he asks me I will in a heartbeat. But he hasn't said anything yet."
"That's not like you, ask him."
"I'm too shy Conner."
"Bullshit, tell him your getting married and no arguments."
He laughed his head off because that's something he could probably do, push Rob into doing it.
"And you Conner do you have any plans?"
"Not at the moment Adam, we are still thinking about it."
"That's a shame but I understand, maybe after you retire from the stage."
"Maybe." Con had that far away look on his face again.
We can't get married what if the papers caught hold of it, the backlash would be horrendous. Even though it would be accepted Cons career will go down the toilet a bit. I could never understand that part of fame, you can either sing or not, what you do in bed isn't anyone's business. I would love the news to ask Di about her love life, they would get an earful from her I bet. And it isn't, in their eyes about love, it's about the man sex gays have. People don't care who you love as long as it's not thrown in their faces, I guess they don't do that to us so there's no need to advertise.
We were descending and will land soon so Adam went to lock down the galley and Con and I kissed a little.
The landing was smooth and we were met by Luke and Sarah.
"Uncle Conner I'm over here," Luke yelled. Conner picked him up and started the kissing and hugging process while I grabbed the bags and kissed Sarah on the cheek as I rolled my eyes and passed by. I loaded up her people mover and then got my hugs from Luke and a proper one from Sarah.
She was telling us on the way to the apartment Jill was working but will be home to greet us around five. I have no idea why Conner was bringing me here for the weekend but I did know sex would be involved somewhere along the line.
We promised we would come for dinner around six, Phil and Dave will be in their flat by then. It was a beautiful day and the sun shimmered on Bondi beach when we moved to look out the window.
"Take your clothes off Brent."
I looked at Conner and he had already started undressing. I wanted to watch him as he lost his outer coverings. I started undoing my shirt as he dropped his jeans. His magnificence was awesome as he lost his underwear and his boner was a monumental piece of artwork.
He held me in his arms as he moved me over to the baby grand. He sat me in a chair next to it and started playing.
"Open your legs."
As he watched me get settled with one leg over the arm of the chair, his rhythmic playing started filling my body and taking over my brain. I ran my hands down my chest and started playing with my pubes as he stared at me. Then I stood up to move to give him a head job but he stopped playing and said.
"Sit down baby, I nearly have it."
I sat down, then I thought I would give him a show as he restarted the piece of music he was playing. I turned around and straddled the chair then gave him the best show on earth as my hands caressed every part of my body. He suddenly stopped playing and grabbed a blank music sheet and started writing.
I was left out in the cold as he tinkered away, so I thought I might make us a coffee and see if there are any biscuits in the cupboard.
"Stay there." I heard and moved back to the chair.
He put the pen down and nodded at me. I restarted my self-exploration as he began the music again. He was using me to write a song and he wanted me to inspire him with my body, I'm his muse now.
For the next hour or so I did my job but my excitement was leaving and I was feeling like he was never going to stop. Three hours later I put a definite stop to it, my throat was dry and I need a pick me up. he had also asked me to finger myself which I wasn't comfortable doing, well not outside the bedroom that is.
"Brent I'm nearly finished stay there."
"Nope time is money Conner, and we both need a break."
"A hundred thousand dollars in your bank if you stay put."
"Nope."
"Two hundred."
"Guess again."
By this time the kettle was boiling, if I'm quick enough I can make us a coffee right before he offers, one million.
He cracked up laughing and admitted he needed a break also.
"So that's why I'm here, to inspire you?"
"Yes baby, I can't write at home at the moment, too many distractions. I can't wait for our Richmond apartment to be finished."
"What have we achieved today Con?" I placed the coffee onto the piano taking care it was well and truly protected.
"I have a melody and a few words but I need to see the sound department producer."
I rubbed my dick across his back as I bent over and hugged him from behind. Then I whispered in his ear.
"Have you ever been fucked between the A and Z notes Conner?" He laughed at my attempt to screw him on the piano keys or was that because I had no idea what they called those notes.
He stood up and turned to me then he sat on the keys and pulled his awesome legs up onto the piano stool giving me a wonderful show. It was an impossible position but we did do a lot of tongue probing.
"Con, it's time to ring, Teddy." His face dropped but only for a moment.
He was having a ball with his granddads, he already had the recipe for the ten-minute biscuits and there were more in the oven for his mate's to have tomorrow.
My heart was heavy, but I didn't detect any sadness coming from him, just a happy little boy having a sleepover with people he loves and trusts.
We showered and changed for dinner, Conner did let me slip him one as he caressed my body, he couldn't help himself.
He whispered in my ear again after it was all over and done.
"Brent can you come again, I want to film it on my phone."
"What?"
"I want to film you tonight so I can watch you as I write."
"I don't know Con, that's a bit dangerous."
"It won't be baby, give me a real show, I'll let you fuck me again after."
"I won't have the energy Con."
"I want to film that too." Oh, I see.
I had a bad feeling about this and made him promise he would delete the film after he finishes the work.
He agreed then hand in hand we went to see our other family. I must admit I had an instant horn when he asked me its something dirty and sexy and out of our comfort zone.
Phil and Dave had turned up already, and Conner had to go and look at Luke's new games on his computer. That's something we haven't got Teddy into. We thought it better to try and talk to him at night instead of him having his nose in a computer. He does watch a lot of TV though and his footy is paramount if there's a game on the tube. He's always got that IPad Con bought for him, it's still in the special items cabinet.
Jill was her happy self and she and Sarah were the perfect hostesses. She let it slip she might be coming to Melbourne soon to work. Marty is trying to move her, I think he wants Adam to help Di full time and that will leave job openings with us. The flight attendant and the concert organizer.
She said it was early days yet, but Luke and Sarah are willing to move with her.
Sarah is from Melbourne originally she knows her way around our city and I got the feeling she was pretty excited to do it.
She has her own legal business now, and she can work anywhere. I was excited for them and Luke and Teddy. We offered them the upstairs rooms until the flats were finished then they could move into one of them. They were overwhelmed because that was their main concern and Luke's school. I told them it would be in Ted's school zone he could go to his school. I think I organized them beautifully.
It was between the Soup and mains that Con whispered yet again, he told me he was going to ask Phil and Dave to film us making love. I dropped my knife and it hit the plate quite loudly, I outstared Conner until he started laughing.
Then I said.
"Maybe they will take it in turns joining us, you can be our pig boy." That shut him up, and I felt a hand on my boner he was making sure he was turning me on for later.
We made the movie, it was a bit difficult when he shoved it between his legs to film me screwing him but I must admit it was a great turn on. Not professional just an amateur thing but I think Con got all the footage he wanted. We had fun watching it late into the night because the filming went for a few hours.
I dreamt of Teddy he was calling my name and was upset. I woke and instantly threw the bedding off me and went to get up. After realizing where we were and that nothing is happening to our son I went to the toilet. Conner moaned when I got back into bed so I held him tightly as I listened to the thunderstorm in the distance.
We were up early and as I made breakfast Conner was already hard at work on the piano he had set his phone up in front of him and was watching the movie we had made. I felt used actually and sort of embarrassed as he sighed his way through a tune that sounded like it was blooming into a proper musical show.
"Brent, can we go to the beach today?"
"Sure Con, we must have some bathers in a drawer somewhere here."
"No, the nude one."
I slapped his arm.
"That's enough Conner Richards, I won't be going to any nude beach and neither will you."
"Oh, just thought I would try Brent, don't get sore." He laughed so loud I had to go make the bed.
"Want to help me with some lyrics?"
"Sure, what have you got?'
"Nothing, I thought I might get you to start it this time."
"Okay let me think about it, play the first few bars for me will ya?"
He did and I got him to do it a few times until it was running around in my head, then he showed me the snippet of the film he had received on that memory stick. without seeing the whole movie it is quite impossible to visualize what the words should be and he knew it.
We couldn't take Lukey to the beach because he had football practice with his mates. So after changing into our bathing suits, I walked Conner across the road. The first thing we did was have a dip in the cool water then we rented a couple of chairs and sat in the sun. Conner was watching the people on the beach, I was watching him. We should have gone to a secluded part because after an hour it had become impossible to stay there. He was too recognizable, and the cameras were out again. We weren't mobbed but close to it as we gathered up our belongings and headed for home. I dread to know what the headlines will be tomorrow; they have been leaving him alone lately but it only takes one ugly journo to kick it all off again.
I was made to strip again, and to lay outstretched on the sofa so Con could watch me as he wrote his songs. I fell asleep and was woken by his lips on his favorite part of my body. After squirming for some minutes I felt a touch on my lips and opened my mouth to receive what he was offering, we had a sixty-nine for the next twenty minutes. I was exhausted and couldn't wait to go home.
All in all, I spent my entire weekend in the nude being idolized by a very randy songwriter. I felt like a sponge as I walked off the plane to be greeted by my son and best friends.
"Did you have a good holiday son?"
"Yes daddy, we had a lot of fun. Granddad took me to the big wheel and we had a ride then went to a big building in the city right to the top. Did you miss me?"
"Yes, son, more than you know I can't wait to get home and start looking after you again." His fists crunched up.
We were talking about Jill and Sarah coming to work in Melbourne as John made our dinner. I wanted to warn them they might be staying here until the flats are done. John was fine with that and I think in his mind he was already planning the dinners.
I was exhausted after my little dirty weekend so I bid Conner goodnight and went with Teddy to tell him his story. I could hear Con tinkering away at the keyboard as I slipped into bed.
He has a sixth sense, I'm sure he can hear the bedclothes being pulled down because he was next to me within minutes.
"Did you lock up?"
"All done baby." His arms went around me.
"Did you enjoy your holiday?"
"Yes Con, it was the best."
"Good I wanted you to have a good time."
"Did you get a lot of writing done Con?"
"No not really, I just wanted to have a dirty weekend away with my husband, I did write some music, but I had more fun watching you."
"So we went to Sydney for a dirty weekend not because you write better there?"
"That's about it, sweet cheeks." He snuggled into me I slapped his bare leg. He wouldn't stop giggling and once again I have been had, so I said nothing and tried harder to go to sleep.
The next day Con had a meeting with the Disney representatives while John and I took Ted to school. I didn't mention to Ted that Luke may be coming to live here. I will keep that surprise for him until later. Grant was on board and it was good to see him. After dropping Ted off, we went off to the supermarket. I grabbed a trolley and followed John up and down the aisles, he had a list as long as my arm I only had a few things to get. At the checkout I pushed in front of him and swiped my card to pay for his groceries, he's usually well ahead of me but not today.
"I should be paying for all your stuff John, most of it is because of us."
"You can pay if you like Brent, but its no big deal and as you know I love cooking. And by the way, Sam will only reimburse you for it anyway it comes out of the business." Thank you, John, now I feel like a real idiot.
I helped him fill up his cupboards, Conner had taken over the piano by the time we got back. He said he had to sign all sorts of agreements and one was he couldn't share the finished movie around when he gets it. I was a bit excited to see it, he tapped away on the piano while John made some coffee. We sat and listened to Conner's notes then I think he had enough and came to find us.
"How was the shopping expedition?"
"Good Con, I got us some bread and eggs." I giggled.
John wasn't amused and I know one day he will want to teach me how to cook properly.
"I have to go pick up Teddy, meet me in the park." He grabbed his keys and headed off to the school.
"Do you want to go to the park today?" Con looked into my eyes.
"No, let's stay here." I looked back.
"Good, neither do I." We went back to our place and sat on the couch, it was quite a different day for us and I didn't feel like going to the park, but I did miss my boy loads. Conner interfered with me so much I thought about calling the cops, but in the end, my lips wouldn't work from all that kissing. I pulled my shorts up and held him, then I threw my head back and rested my eyes and the next thing I knew was Ted coming through the back door.
"Dad where are you?" Con woke up as I answered him.
"Over here, son."
"Why didn't you go to the park?"
"We were tired and had a nap."
"Oh, okay sometimes I do that in school and I have to wake myself up." He giggled as Con pulled him in to tickle him, but I think he just wanted to get to the remote control, his shows were on after all.
Ray was home not long after and he and John came in to start dinner, he kept looking at me. I guess he wants me to help him, maybe I can cut up the carrots. Grant was also on-board tonight, he used our shower and changed out of his football coaches outfit, I offered to wash his shorts for him and he gave me a funny grin and whispered.
"You're want to smell them don't you?" I flushed beetroot. I wasn't thinking that at all, and anyway my washing machine was almost in the kitchen, someone might see me.
"Okay, you do them then." I poured his coffee and sat at the table, aching to smell Grants underwear.
The ship was almost finished they were up to placing stickers on it, I rather liked the big old thing sitting on my table, but Teddy was so excited to see it in his room. He had a few choices tonight he could play with the footy in the back yard with Grant or do the ship while dinner was cooking away on the stove, he chose to finish his ship. I chose to sit and stare at Conner who was looking more and more like a quick snack every second. I had to get up and go and bring the washing in, so I grabbed the wash basket and started collecting clothes.
"Stan has to fly off to Turkey tonight, something about negotiating a release of three journalists who got caught taking military photos when it's outlawed there."
"Is it bad over there Grant?"
"Not really, it's a beautiful country but like others, it has its moments." he looked worried.
"How long will he be there?"
"A couple of days, he's promised to ring when he finds out what's happening."
Dinner was delicious and as usual, John received all our thanks and accolades. I think mine was a little over the top because I got stuck with loading the up the dishwasher and cleaning the benches.
The ship was finished and it was a magnificent looking one too, Conner helped Grant take it up to Ted's room and Ted sat on his bed smiling at it. I suppose he's now going to dream of the open sea and big waves.
Saturday today, and Bubs and Shaun were around for a play date. Bubs sat with Ray and they went over his investments. I could see the smile on Ray's face from where I sat on the sofa with Con. Bubs had done good he looked as proud as punch as Ray talked softly to him. When Conner grabbed his music sheet I knew he had an idea, and when Bubs joined the boys out the back for some kick to kick I had a word with him.
"How's he doing Ray?"
"Excellent Brent, he's mastered the stock market beautifully. There's plenty of cash in there now, he should be looking at buying a property, maybe."
"Well I hope not too soon, he's still a kid with loads of kid's things to do."
"Yes, but is he happy doing kids stuff?"
"Good point, guess we have to talk to him about it then."
As Conner scribbled away I went back to watching some mindless television, I could hear the boys laughing in the back yard as I quietly slipped off to sleep. Marty called later on and he and Conner had to go to the Gold Coast on Monday for the big meeting. We spoke about it and decided I was better off staying with Ted, he would ring often and will only be away for a few days anyway.
"I need to play the theme to them and see their reaction, they might have something else up their sleeves and won't want to use it."
"How could they not want to use it Con, it's beautiful."
"Well, we will wait and see."
Another weekend and another playdate at Sam and Andy's. I had taken to staying when this happens, not because I don't trust Andy to look after our boy I like sitting with him in the back yard talking, it's a lot different from the park and Sam will be home. Conner decided he was going to get some work done so he headed for John's piano and I bundled Ted into the car.
At Andy's place, he ran out the back to find his mates and started his playing time. Andy made coffee and we three sat at the table in the sunshine.
"How's work, Sam?"
"Great Brent, not a worry in the world. Jenny will be a godsend when she settles in at the moment she's a bit hyperactive because she doesn't want to stuff it all up." He smiled, something I don't see him do often enough.
"Well I think my choice was spot on, she will settle when she knows little Conner is safe and happy."
"He is Brent; he spends most of his day sitting with Bob in his office, but he's encouraging him to stay in the kiddy room with the other two kids. It might take a week or so before he realizes he would have more fun in there than sitting at a desk." He laughed.
Daryl and Fran called over, they walked through the connecting gate to Andy's place. He's a great father and started playing with he kids, all I could hear was laughing and growling he was chasing them around the yard.
"When did the second ship dock, Sam?"
"Yesterday, it's a bit slower than the first one Daryl's looking at replacing the main engine."
"Okay, I suppose that will be a big job then."
"Yes, it will be done in Singapore they have more facilities there."
"Singapore?" Daryl said as he sat at the table puffing away.
"Sam was just talking about the engine on the second ship."
"Oh, yes I didn't see that one, it's an old engine and needs reconditioning, some parts are badly needing replacement."
"Well I'm sure you will get it sorted out, did Di come by Sam?"
"Yes, she has all her measurements and ideas now, I think she's going to do Helen's office Lilac." he giggled.
"Helen will always get her way Sam, I don't mind Lilac but it is a bit old fashioned."
"No Brent not the shade Di's picked for her its beautiful. Helen agrees too."
"When does Conner leave Brent?" Andy asked.
"Monday morning." I groaned.
"Where's he off to now?" Daryl enquired.
"Gold Coast, he's writing the score for the new Disney movie and has a meeting with the music director."
"God he's so multi-talented, maybe he should write a series of books. Maybe Disney will buy them off him, you know like kids stuff." He looked over at the three boys and added.
"Kids that love footy." I looked at Daryl and something clicked into place. I felt some butterflies in my tummy and I even formed the first sentence to a story in my head.
"Great idea Daryl, he's been looking for a project, I told him to write a stage play but Disney appeared out of nowhere, he's worked with them before. He did a song for their Forest Friends movie."
"I will have to watch it with my son then." He smiled.
"Ted did some of the dialogue, he's quite famous you know," I said proudly, Andy smirked.
"Did he get paid?"
"Yes, a thousand dollars." I chuckled.
"I would have held out for more." He chuckled back. The boys came over and wanted to know what we were talking about. When we told them they decided to watch the movie again, God knows how many times they have done that in the past.
Daryl went with them after he opened a can of beer.
The day was full of laughs and I was as tuckered as Teddy was when we got in, but he did resist because he wanted to see his dad. We went into John and Rays the aroma coming from his oven was heavenly I could see his oven was on.
Conner was sitting at the table having some amoretti biscuits that were freshly baked. I poured a coffee and helped him out by eating a couple.
"Did you get much done Con?" I asked him as he kiss farted Ted's neck.
"Yes I have the beginnings of a new song but I don't know whether it will suit until I talk to he director."
"You have to play it for me when you have time and also we have to talk about your new project."
"What project?"
"Kids books, plenty of money in them Con and I even have a title for you. Kids and their footy. You can write about the three boys and their friends playing footy." I smiled at him.
"A bit out of my league Brent, maybe you should do it." He tickled Ted again and had another biscuit.
