We both went and picked Ted up from play day and he was stoked Con had come with me; later we called into Nan's for coffee and cake. Geoff was beaming because his Friday night buskers were very popular; it was something he had thought of but hadn't had the time to organize. Con asked to be given a week or two and he will come and do a Saturday night for him.
"I think my fee is a million a show." Geoff nearly fainted before he came back with,
"That's okay, your bill today will cost about the same." They laughed while the girls fussed over Ted who only wanted a chocolate milkshake.
"You know Con, we should open a coffee club, John could do the cooking and you could do the entertainment.
"John won't do the kitchen Brent and we have enough to occupy our time." He smiled and winked.
"Oh I forgot that."
We hung around for an hour then old droopy eyes was back so I bundled them into the car and we went home. Con dozed on the couch and Ted and I played with his crazy dough and stuff Con had bought him while at the same time trying to be quiet.
John arrived with his signature casserole in hand and was followed by Ray who was carrying fresh bread rolls and the smell was awesome. Conner was at the table in no time, he was hanging out for some home cooking. While I organized plates Ted cleaned up the table as best he could. I detected a big envelope being handed to Con by Ray.
"All's good Con, just come next door during the week and sign the documents." Did I see him wink?
We talked more as Conner shoveled food into his gob, he seemed wide-awake now...that big rest must have done him good.
"So how was your play day Ted?" John asked.
"Good grand dad we played on the computer and then Bubby's mommy shooed us out the back to play cricket, want to buy a cricket team daddy?"
Con's jaw dropped.
"But you love football."
"Yes daddy but I am good at cricket too." Ted's sneaky smile gave him away, me thinks our kid's sense of humor has arrived.
"No I think I will stick to the footy team for now son."
"Would you like to put a deposit on the cricket team just in case, you know, cover all your bases?"
"Wha?"
"I think Bubby's been in his ear again Con." He laughed so loud I thought the roof might just fly away.
"I'll think about it son."
"Well don't take too long, there are others after our team you know."
"Who?" Con put a shocked look on his face.
"I don't know daddy, Bubby just said I was to tell you that."
I think everyone stifled a laugh, I know my shoulders were shaking.
"He's asleep Con, I detect a slight smile on his face."
"Actually Brent, cricket isn't a bad idea cause he will have something to do in summer and winter now."
"Well I hope that two hundred dollar deposit you gave him is enough for Bubby, you know what he's like with his five hundreds...each." Con laughed as he held me and breathed in my scents.
"It's just a deposit."
"Oh."
"I have a deposit for you too if you want it," he sort of moaned.
"I am only taking deposits orally tonight Con, you can pay the full amount tomorrow during your break." I smirked.
"I forgot all about that. I will be gone early Brent, Marty has me stitched up most of the day."
"So you're not doing the media from here then?"
"No, at the studio we can get a lot done in a short space of time, oh before I forget, happy anniversary."
He handed over the envelope Ray had handed him at dinnertime.
"And what sneaky secret have you and Ray been up to hey?"
"Open it."
I did and looked the documents over, they seemed to be correct but what would I know, there was a lot of legal jargon but I saw Ted's, Con's and my name on the title, which sort of softened the blow a bit.
"Thanks, awesome."
"Is that all I get?"
"Well maybe, I will pay my debts in full tonight."
"Good, I thought that would clinch the deal, hop on for the ride of your life." He smiled.
I threw my leg over Con's hips grabbing lube from the bedside table then slowly I sat down on Con's now fully paid up member.
"Why?"
He looked into my eyes then whisper kissed me.
"Because we are a family and I want my family to come on my journey with me, so from now on any property I want to invest in will have your and Ted's names on the titles."
Con had bought my old apartment in Richmond, well he didn't actually buy the apartment; he bought the whole building. He said we will have fun renovating it starting with my old flat, he could never let it go, there were too many memories attached to it.
I thanked him again at two in the morning when I went to check on Ted then at seven, just before he left for the studios.
I might have done some moaning about the present but seeing Ted's name on the title was beautiful and I accepted this gift for him alone, to make him feel safe, and to secure his future with us as a real family. No wet bed this morning just one happy little boy clasping three hundred dollars in his hand, Con had handed him another hundred so he could split it three ways evenly. Ted handed his portion to me so I handed it to Ray to bank and he slipped it back to Con. Yep that's the way it works at our house, million dollar properties are nothing compared to a hundred bucks in a little kid's bank account, there's no contest.
"It's a tax thing Brent, he had to do something with his extra money so when the building came up for sale we jumped on it. Don't be mad at him honey, this is what we do, we just can't help ourselves especially with family. One day you should ask Ray how many buildings he owns in the city." John chuckled as we waited for the two thirty school pick up run.
"Well it's not necessary but it's an awesome thing to do for Teddy, he is Con's family and his protection is all I want."
"Well don't tell Con that baby, he's looking after the both of you. Ted will always have wealth but it's you the building was really bought for. I guess Con is just trying to get you to realize completely how much you are loved."
"He doesn't have to buy buildings to show that John, he just has to hold me and I feel loved."
"He knows that too Brent but some of this is about Con's own abuse, he's just covering all his bases that's all and if it wasn't your building it would be another one. He really has to offload some cash especially after this last gig, so let him spoil you." John was being sincere and he explained it to me well.
"I guess so but I still feel sad because I can't do the same for him and yeah I know he doesn't need or want it but it's hard to know what to do for him."
"I think a phone call to Helen will clear that up baby. Maybe a week at the beach house will get his creative juices flowing." He winked.
"Yeah I know where you're coming from John, simple things mean a lot to him." I kissed him on the cheek and we left to pick up Ted.
Circus performing again, the boys were hanging from the wire fence doing what looked like crunches from where I stood. I felt a hand on my elbow and turned to look into the biggest and brightest blue eyes in the world.
"I want to fuck you," I whispered into his ear.
"Is Mrs. Green around?"
"Don't think so."
"Well climb aboard sailor but prepare for a bumpy ride." He laughed.
"Oh Conner, just the man I want to see," Andy said as we arrived at our normal picnic tables.
"What's up Andy and good to see you too."
"Oh sorry, welcome back and yes good to see you." He got up and hugged Con.
"Run Mr. Walsh?"
"Of course Mr. Conner."
"No, no you don't, I need to talk to you about money. You can't just give Sean cash like that, we are trying to teach him the value of it and this isn't the way to do it."
"Take your concerns up with the club secretary Andy, I'm just the sponsor."
"Who?"
"Bubby."
Andy groaned then looked Bubby's way, in the meantime Con had taken a small present out of his backpack and put it in front of Andy.
"Do I really have to talk money with him, what's this?"
"Yes, he's the club secretary Andy and that's your and Sam's presents from the States, well it's not from the States, it's from duty free but bought in the US. So it's really just a present." Con was sounding rather crazy, he grabbed my hand and pulled me away, out of the corner of his mouth I heard,
"Run Brent hurry." We trotted off together.
"What's in the box Con?"
"A couple of watches, one for each of them."
"Oh fuck Con, you are so dead." I looked down at mine.
"I know, bad move, bad timing but I didn't know what else to buy them. Can you sneak me out of the park, maybe pick me up on the other side of the oval, pleeease?" I chuckled all around the running track while he kept begging me to help him and every time he did I laughed louder.
Andy wasn't too happy when I got back and said he would speak to Sam about it, but he loved them. I tried to tell him Conner likes to spoil his friends, that's just Conner but he still wasn't happy. Con crawled into the passenger seat when I picked him up, my laughter was heard all the way home, poor Ted didn't know what was going on.
Three days later he stormed into the house like a mad man on a mission.
"Why didn't you fucking tell me?" He was as mad as hell.
"Tell you what Con?"
"You spent two nights in hospital when I was away, that tell me what."
"Con you didn't need to know, it wasn't a biggie. I had a cold and my bloods were down, antibiotics, a bit of rest and all fixed, pretty fucking normal for me nowadays, I'm sure."
"Well I'm glad you think it's normal, why didn't you tell me, what am I to you? I was busting my ass off over there and you're here sick as a dog, didn't you think I would want to know that little bit of information?"
"I got a cold, the drugs worked, I am well and I am sorry I didn't tell you. I just thought you would have had a lot of things on your mind that's all. You didn't need to know, I knew I would come good."
I was trying to get to him but he held his backpack up in front of himself then screamed at me to fuck off and leave him alone. He threw the backpack on the bench, which pushed the cups off, they landed on the tiled floor smashing then he stormed off to our bedroom.
A split second later I was on his heels and as I got to the bedroom door a shiny object appeared from my blind side, it hit me full force on the right side of my face and I hit the floor like a sack of potatoes. That fucking hurt, my eyes opened and I was staring at the shiny object he had thrown, my little Swarovski crystal man, it missed the wall but got me fair and square. My tears arrived as the pain started creeping up my face but it wasn't the pain that brought them on. Con was screaming and trying to look at my face so he dropped next to me, he was saying he was sorry but I wasn't interested. Crawling towards the doorway I grasped my crystal man and hauled myself up, looking at Conner I finally said,
"Why would you try to break something so beautiful Con?"
My little man with the backpack hadn't broken as I held him to me.
"It's our beginnings, why would you want to smash that?" I couldn't understand why he would throw a very expensive gift of love at a wall like it was nothing. Heading for the bathroom I locked the door, my face was okay but throbbing so was the door as Con banged on it. He rushed through Ted's door and grabbed me holding onto me like grim death, it had scared him and he was shaking. I couldn't do anything but take some painkillers and shortly after they went down the throbbing dulled.
He was still holding me and sobbing into my shoulder. I calmed myself down then put my arms around his waist. I whispered it would be okay, my little man wasn't damaged and I had no cuts. I calmed him down by kissing his beautiful but saddened face.
"It's okay beautiful man. I am sorry I didn't tell you and for that I apologize, I love you so much I just didn't want you to worry, there was nothing you could do."
"But I could have talked to you more on the phone. I could have sent you flowers, I could have made you feel loved." He started crying again.
"Yes you could have Con and I am so very sorry." He stroked my face and it felt better after he kissed it.
Before I started cleaning up Con's mess I placed my little statue in Con's cabinet among his treasures, you know the ones I wouldn't dare try to break...his sunshine. I called Grant and asked him to pick Ted up and take him to the park, he asked questions but I didn't answer him. Conner tried to apologize again saying it was a knee jerk reaction, I didn't listen but when I had cleaned up the cups I leaned on the kitchen bench and said,
"I would never, it wouldn't matter if you had destroyed my entire life, ever try to smash any of your sunshine things, why would you do that to me? It is the most perfect thing I own, it is you Con, it is our beginning, why would you try to destroy it? I'm really not pissed off Con, just bloody curious." I wasn't mad, just very, very sad he had done it.
"Brent I'm so sorry I wasn't thinking, I was mad you didn't tell me about the hospital. I picked up something and didn't realize it was your statue, I am so, so sorry," he begged.
"I get it Con, loud and clear I get it and I also get that little statue meant fuck all to you but it means the absolute world to me."
He caressed my face with his shaking hand and taking mine he led me to the bedroom where he placed me on the bed, he stroked my face and said,
"I love you Brent, I chose you to be my beautiful husband and I chose you for a best friend, if you hurt I hurt, if you cry I cry and if you want to keep secrets I still would have chosen you." He kissed my face and lips and I just fucking went to jelly...he does have a way with words.
I heard Ted come home, he had woken us calling my name so I darted into the bathroom and washed my face.
"Dad, dad where are you?"
"In here baby just having a wash how was school?"
"Good dad, where have you been today, what's wrong with your face dad?"
"Just a rash baby, I got kissed by the sun and today I just hung with dad."
"Okay." He hugged me and I kissed his head. I saw Conner leaning on the doorway smiling and his eyes were glassy. Ted tugged my arm to come look at what he had made for me, he yelled at Conner,
"Come on dad, come and look."
It was a drawing of our house and the three of us. I made a fuss and put it in pride of place with the others on the fridge. Soon after Ray appeared at the back door and wanted Ted to come in and test John's new sugar free biscuits and he told him there might be a glass of milk in it for him while he's at it. Ted quickly ran into next door. Ray took one look at me then Con and I don't think he believed me when I said the front door had hit me. Conner moved to the couch looking into his hands. I asked him if he wanted coffee, he said thank you he would.
After I finished doing that I sat with him, he took my hand and apologized again. I apologized for not telling him about my stay in hospital, my reasons for that and I knew it was wrong.
"Brent I love you and just worry about you that's all, please don't be mad at me, please." We made out until John called us for dinner; he gave me a strange look so I gave him the same excuse.
"No you didn't silly daddy, the sun kissed you." Ted giggled as I tickled him.
I will sleep well tonight but as Con spooned behind me my hand went out and brushed the bedside table where my little man had lived but there were no more sparkles in the night. When I woke again to check on Ted I noticed he was back and glistening in the still night. I slept well knowing Con would never do that again. He pulled me closer and kissed my neck.
I was up early, really early, the washing was going and if it weren't for my boys still being asleep I would have cleaned the whole house. I was on a high fuck it, why don't I ever get a break? Ted eventually swanned out and turned the TV on so I kissed him good morning and sat with him watching his regular cartoons. He laughed then he touched my face and gently kissed it, my eye had a little bruising and swelling.
I spied Conner coming up the hallway his hair flowing down over his chest, he looked like a Norse god and he hadn't put any shorts on so his hipster briefs were showcasing all his best assets. How on this earth could I ever stay mad at him? He was making his coffee when I snuck up behind him and kissed his neck, my hand slipping around his waist and down the front of his sexy underwear cupping all his assets and something seemed to be growing among the dark bushes.
He turned and gasped.
"It's only a bit of bruising Con, it will fix itself in no time." I kissed him deeply, and then whispered,
"You know there are times like this I wish we didn't have a kid, that kitchen bench looks mighty inviting."
"Maybe later." He started to put his hair up into a samurai, my cock throbbed, he did the rock star pose at me...bloody man slut.
John had dropped off some biscuits and we had one each while we continued watching the TV with Ted. When he was whisked off to school Con and I hit the bedroom, he offered everything he had so I chose well, dining on his body for at least an hour. I wanted to make him feel better; shit happens but at least I have still got him, that's the main thing. Our day was spent in bed, we joked, laughed and made love, Con talked about Las Vegas the shows the people, we had a great time up until it was school pick up time.
Throwing on our clothes Con kissed me a hundred times before I opened the front door, no rushing to get to school today and he held my hand all the way.
At the park Andy had his new watch on, it was similar to mine and it too sparkled in the sunshine. He didn't mention it again just thanked Con for his gift and said Sam will catch up with him later on, he had a cunning smile on his face.
"What happened to your eye?" He asked.
"Front door decided to slam into me, no big deal."
"Oh, all right, it looks bad does it hurt?"
"No." Then changing the subject.
"Did you speak to Bubby?" I asked.
"Yes," he replied breathing out heavily.
"Well?" Con was interested in Bub's answer.
Poor Andy put his head in his hands.
"I hired him to do some filing after he finishes here, then I am going to teach him bookkeeping."
"What? He's six."
"I started out telling him why he couldn't take any more money off Conner." He paused.
"I don't know how that kid does it because before long we were having a long conversation about investments. He railroaded me into showing him some stuff, how the hell did he do that? I never got an answer on the money side of it." He shook his head.
"An investment broker in the making Andy, watch that one he will have your job soon." Con laughed.
"Run Mr. Walsh?"
"After you Mr. Conners."
"Bye Andy." Poor Andy, I think he's met his match. It will be good for Bubs to learn more numbers, I think my kid is just going with the captain thing, but that could change.
My next problem was what to do for Ted's birthday, it was coming up soon and I thought we could take him to his first AFL football game. He is already a fan of the Brisbane Bombers and I thought when they come down to play in Melbourne we could take him and his mates to the game. I might get Con onto that one as he knows a lot of people, maybe he can get us a corporate box for a couple of hours, I don't think Con would feel comfortable in that big crowd.
As it turned out he only had to make one phone call and he promised everything was set, we would fly the kids to Brisbane and watch it at their ground. The club had a box we could have for the day... well what a surprise. It will be awesome we can take maybe four kids and their parents for the day out, I had better get the invitations done.
"Do you know any printers Brent?"
"No Con what for?"
"The invitations, we will have to get some printed."
"Con I'll buy a party pad at the news agency tomorrow." He looked shocked.
"Why don't we get them printed, really nice ones?"
"Because it's his sixth birthday, not his wedding day."
"Con we can get some balloons and tie them all over the jet, you can blow them up with your powerful lungs."
"I don't think so baby, I think that's illegal."
"Well streamers then and a birthday cake to have on the way home."
"Sounds good to me, want to fuck?"
"Of course, you know I can't refuse you."
"Good I'll have some invitations printed then." He gave me his superstar smile... this will be good.
Con was ready for any situation and when we ended up in bed he had already greased up; he sat down on me and wiggled his hips back and forth. This is a position I usually don't like, too much pressure on my hips but today he bent back, his hair flowed behind and he began sucking the life out of me. I like this position now, the curve of Con's body was magnificent and I nearly dribbled as I tried to pump his guts with my juice. When it came he quickly leaned in and kissed me deeply, a magic moment and I wish I had the camera cause he looked and felt fantastic as he lowered his chest to mine, his hair covering us both. I slipped out and he straightened his body to lay on me, I gave him a good fingering, not because I was randy again, but because I could.
He rolled to my side and stroked my face just gazing into my eyes.
"How did I ever get so lucky as to have you for my husband?"
"You're not the lucky one Con, I am. I was about to give up before you came along, you basically saved my life so I am the lucky one."
Stroking my neck then leaned in to kiss me again and nestled his head on my shoulder. I reached over and placed his hair over his shoulder, I loved him this way; he looked so fucking hot and innocent at the same time.
Dinner tonight was a culinary delight. John had decided we needed something different so he made a big dish of lasagna complete with Italian bread and salads and it was delicious, even Ted ate some salad. We were talking about the grandies taking Ted to the Art Center Saturday to look at some paintings and I reminded them he was only six but they reminded me he had to start his education in the arts sometime. Ted reminded me it was his birthday in two weeks time and he was still five and Con reminded me he has to get those invitations done. Fuck me; everyone's a comedian again all of a sudden! It wasn't all lost at the art gallery, Ted liked the pictures but they weren't as good as his. I already knew that... well he is good.
Conner spoke once more about the invitations during the week and I told him you have to order them a month in advance then handed him a birthday invitation pad with about twenty pages.
"Start writing Con, I'll make a list out." I looked down my nose at him so he lowered his head in submission. After that was done Ted came in and we started helping him with his homework. I smirked at Con all night and after his story when Ted was fast asleep, I was screwed completely. I'm sure Con had some lessons over in the States because he lasted a lot longer than his usual twenty pump efforts. He smiled and turned out leaving me to tend to the aftermath.
I think he might be a little put out.
After he wrote out the invites I also made him hand them out at the park the next day, we couldn't take everyone so he slipped Andy the ones for Sean and Bub then Grant's. It would be five adults and four kids in the end, Bub's mum took the opportunity to have a dirty day with her hubby and we would pick Luke up from Sydney on the way.I had organized a bit of a party in the park on his actual birthday; it was on the Monday after our day away and everyone was invited. All that week Ted and Con were in negotiations over presents, Ted wanted a drone and Con wanted to take him on a real helicopter ride instead but he wasn't interested because he's got a jet to ride in anytime and he can have fun at the park with his toy one.
On the Thursday I'd had enough but it was short lived as when we got to training it happened. Bubby was in flying form; he chastised Con for being such a tight wad and reminded him he got their team cheap and they could take down the Go Ship signs anytime they wanted.
"You can't do that, we have a contract Mr. Bubby."
"Yeah with six year olds, it won't hold up in court, it's the drone for Teddy or the signs disappear."
"He's going to work for the mafia Brent I'm sure of it. Did we get the drone?"
`Yes Con three weeks ago don't you remember?"
"Oh yes we had so much stuff I forgot what we bought for him that day."
"It's okay Con, I've got it covered." I smiled then touched his puffy lips.
