Hey guys! I'm sorry this took a bit longer to produce but it's here now. I hope you all had a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanza, Merry Festivus or whatever other holiday you celebrated. I got everything that I wanted and I hope you did too. I know that some of you have grievances about the pace of the story. I'm sorry but this is the pace I want the story to go. I want my story to be more than just one that you jerk off to. Love takes time guys lol. Anyways the song for this story is pretty much at the end of the chapter and it's a song called 'The Fear You Won't Fall' by the wonderful Joshua Radin. Great song, beautiful voice, perfect for my story lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiGgoCnmJoI Enjoy!

I woke up the next morning, my usual jovial self. I just lay there trying to think of what brought this complete 180 from yesterday morning. Unfortunately, for the life of me I couldn't figure out why. Have you ever tried to think really hard to figure something out but the more you try, the foggier things get? Yeah well that's me! It wasn't that I was hung over, I barely get hangovers. I decided I was just going to go back to sleep so I turned over to get comfortable. That's when I remembered. Colby had shared a bed with me. He gave me the impression that he had feelings for me, and he said he loved me. Well as a friend obviously. He was sleeping quietly, facing me on the bed. His face looked almost ethereal with the morning sun shining behind him. He was beautiful. I fell into slumber again, tracing my eyes over every curve and contour of his face.

About an hour later, I woke up again in the same position I was in when I fell asleep. Colby was also in the same position but this time his eyes were open, staring at mine as they opened.

"Morning sleepy head." he said in a raspy voice that only made him sexier.

"Morning." I managed to squeak. "How was your sleep?"

"Excellent. And it's because I'm waking up next to you." he said jokingly as he ruffled my already ruffed up hair. He said it jokingly, but his eyes gave him away. He meant what he said. I prayed to god that I wasn't fooling myself into thinking that he had feelings for me.

I lifted my hand and laid it on his cheek and gently caressed it with my thumb. His stubble felt rough against it. He closed his eyes as if he was savouring my touch. He placed his hand on top of mine, pulling my thumb to his lips and kissing it then replaced my hand on his cheek.

"Give me time okay? I promise you, I will tell you everything. Just give me time." I could only nod. I just didn't know what to think. My mind was jumble at that point. Maybe I was over thinking things but I just couldn't shake the possibility of me being wrong about Colby. That's the problem with me, once I start to over think things, the decision gets harder and harder. I needed to get out of that bed fast.

"C'mon, lets get up. You need to help me make breakfast. I have three other people who stayed last night, including Stephen." I said taking my hand back and getting out of bed.

"Okay. As long as it's something good you're cooking and as long as you can cook. Because man am I hungry." he said while getting out of bed smiling and rubbing his stomach. And what a stomach it was. Damn, he really was perfect. He was defined but not to the point of it being overdone. It was perfect.

"I'm gonna attempt to cook a Filipino breakfast. I know how to cook so don't worry, even if it doesn't turn out to be a Filipino breakfast, it'll still be edible."

"As long as it's edible and as long as you're not trying to poison us, I'm down." I flipped him the finger while he put his shirt on. We headed down to the kitchen where Stephen and Lauren were chatting with my cousin Marc. The three of them knew each other well. When we were younger, wherever I was, the three of them were also.

"Hey guys, ready for breakfast? I'm gonna make Filipino breakfast."

"Oh man," Marc said excitedly "I haven't had that in years. You better make it as good as your mom does or I won't be happy."

"Yeah, your mom makes the best breakfasts ever. You remember when she made us that when Lauren and I slept over back in grade six? Man it has been too long since I've had it." Lauren nodded in agreement.

"Well I'll do my best to make it the best I can. Colby has never had it before so he's my motivation." I said looking at him.

"What are we waiting for? Let's get cracking. I'm gonna die of starvation!" Colby said.

"Oh no, Oliver's mom won't be happy that he's not feeding his guests." Marc piped in.

"I'll be sure to tell her that he starved me then." Colby said evilly.

"Yeah whatever." I said as I got all the ingredients together. It turned out that Colby and I were a good team in the kitchen. We got the job done faster than if I were to be doing it all myself. Not only that, but the food turned out better too.

"Mmmm, just like your mom makes!" Marc said with his mouth full of rice. What a goof.

"You're such a goof!" I said laughing at him.

"Hey, if you and Colby here ever get married, you make sure you invite me for breakfast!" he said jokingly, obviously not know the situation. Stephen and Lauren were trying not to laugh while Colby blushed. I gave the two the best death stare I could but when they saw me they couldn't hold it in any longer and burst out laughing.

"You guys are mean." I said.

"Why? You don't want to be married to me?" Colby said joining in the teasing. Everyone seemed to be teasing me these days. What am I supposed to say to that? Confess I do want to be married to him or lie and say I don't? If I do say I do, what if he actually doesn't feel the way I think he does and pulls away from me, and if I say I don't, what if he does feel the same way and thinks I'm not interested? Here I go again, over thinking things.

"Oh Colby, who wouldn't want to be married to you? I mean a lowly girl like me would be lucky to be married to you." I said in my best southern belle accent. I did this while reassuringly squeezing his leg under the table. Now what I was reassuring him of I didn't know.

After breakfast, we all retired to our rooms to get showered, get dressed and just hang out watching movies.

"So, American Thanksgiving is in a couple of weeks, and I was thinking maybe you could drive down with me and spend it with my family and I. I can probably guess that you've never been to an American Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving in America is almost as big as Christmas, well at least in my family it is." he said excitedly.

"Yeah that sounds like fun. Um, but wait, what about school? Isn't your thanksgiving on Thursdays?"

"Well yeah it is but I've already talked to our profs and luckily nothing all too important will be happening those few days we'll be gone. We don't have any labs and I've talked to some of our classmates and asked if they could send us the notes from the lectures."

I couldn't help but smile. "Wow, looks like you've been planning this for a while."

"Just this week actually." Sure sure.

"Okay cool, I'm definitely down." How could I not go? I could barely go a day without seeing the guy so a whole four days would be torture. "Well you can have the shower first. I'll go after."

"Kay." he said. He stripped down to his boxer briefs and looked around. "Do you have any towels?"

I had to physically shake my head to come back to reality. "Uh yeah, they're on the shelf beside the sink." My house had four bathrooms. Two up here plus the master ensuite, and one in the basement for the spare bedroom. All bathrooms were probably in-use so I decided to just wait for Colby to finish.

I went to my bedroom to grab some clothes from my closet. Stephen was just putting on his clothes when I walked in. I was so used to seeing him with close to nothing on so I didn't look twice. I'm not say that he doesn't have a great body because he does. "Hey, I'm just grabbing some clothes."

"No problem bud, oh and about what happened at breakfast today. I'm sorry I embarrassed you."

"Hey it's ok. Marc and Colby don't know the situation and Colby doesn't know it involves him."

"Okay, well I'll see you downstairs in a bit. You mind if I make some popcorn?"

"No go ahead. It's in the pantry." I said as he headed downstairs. I walked back to the room just as Colby was walking out of the shower. Naked. He stood at the doorway drying hair with the towel then bringing it down to rub his crotch. Oh god, seeing him touch himself was too much. "That was fast." I said hoping he didn't see me staring.

"Have I ever smelled bad?" he asked.

"Well no."

"Exactly. I try to get everything done fast and efficiently as to not waste water."

"Well, I guess you're going to have to teach me one day. Or better yet, let me watch you do it. I'm a fast learner." I said shamelessly flirting with him.

"Are you sure you want me to teach you? I'm a really hands on kind of teacher. If you were to watch, I'd have to call on you practice on me." he said, making a tingle run down my spine toward my crotch. Damn he's good.

"I don't mind. I'm a hands on kind learner so it'll work out just fine." I fired back.

"Well as long as you're a fast learner I'm sure you could get me done fast."

"Careful! I might just take you up on that." I said. "Okay I'm gonna take my shower and I'll see you downstairs."

"You sure you don't want me to come with you? I'm sure with my help, we could get the job done much quicker."

"Oh stop it already Mr. stud. There won't be anything to help if you keep this up." I said punching him on the arm. More and more the possibility of Colby being gay became greater and with that so did my hope that he felt something for me. Unfortunately, the greater the hope, the greater the pain I would feel when my hopes were dashed.

"Fine." he said throwing up his hands. "You're missing out though." he smiled and let me close the door.

I stood there leaning on the door. I couldn't believe the effect this boy had on me. It was dangerous what I was doing. I was definitely setting myself up for disaster and heartache. I shook myself from my silent reverie. If I didn't get showered and downstairs soon, they'd think I'd been doing the nasty.

I quickly stripped my clothes and got in the shower. I let the water completely envelop my body in warmth. Everything seemed to remind me of Colby. The water flowing over my body reminded me of being in Colby's embrace. I had it bad, and I knew it. The steam billowed up as I took the bar of soap and ran it across my body. The suds traveled down my skin, tickling me as they finished there journey down to the drain. I shampooed my hair, rinsed, then conditioned it. The wonderful scent of rosemary and peppermint assaulted my senses as I rinsed. The peppermint made my body tingle which caused me to shudder. I switched off the water and opened shower the door to dry off. My clothes were laid out on the bed when I entered the room. I quickly got dressed and headed downstairs.

"Hello again guys." I said as I walked into the theatre room. My theatre consisted of tiered floor with three armchairs on the first tier and a loveseat on the second. Well guess where the only seat was left. Yes, it was beside Colby on the loveseat. Go figure.

"Hey man, take as seat beside me!" Colby said waving me over. Stephen and Lauren turned to look at us as I took my seat beside Colby.

"So, what movie we watching?" I asked rubbing my hands together. I loved watching movies of all genres.

"A Haunting in Connecticut." Stephen said evilly. Okay so I lied when I said I liked movies of all genres. I meant to add 'except horror.' When it came to horror, I was a real baby.

"Do we have to watch a horror movie? I mean come on, you know I get hysterical when watching horror movies." I whined. The last horror movie I watched was The Ring. I actually had the TV in my room removed because the movie freaked me out so much. Even today I sometimes get freaked out when I'm home by myself.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you." Colby said. Marc got up and put the movie in the player. The screen flashed blue then went on to play the previews.

So that wasn't a very good movie. I mean who would stay in that house after all that shit happened? I mean come on. I would have been out of there in a snap. Okay so it still scared the bejesus out of me causing me to cover my face in Colby's chest. This caused me to forget about being scared as his freshly showered scent took me to a different world which in turn caused me to sit straight back up to look at the movie which then subsequently scared me again! I'm such a pussy...well maybe I was playing it up a little bit, but can you blame me? I got to have Colby's arms wrapped around me.

"That was great! I love horror movies!" Colby said, rubbing my arm. "How about we make some lunch before we start the next movie?"

"Sounds good."

"Yeah I'm hungry."

"As long as you cooking!" We all got up and headed to the door.

The rest of the day went by quickly. We watched two more movies before we called it a day. The three left around seven leaving me and Colby alone. "So, you want to stay for dinner? I'm cooking." I asked hoping he'd stay longer.

"Yeah that sounds great! What are we having?"

"Well let's go see what's in the fridge." I said heading for the kitchen. I opened the fridge and found some raw prawns, some scallops and tomatoes. There was also some field greens for a salad. I took all those out and looked in the pantry. There was some dried angel hair pasta so I decided on that with a light shrimp and scallop tomato sauce which would be started with a nice salad.

"You need any help?"

"Yeah sure. Um...let's see. What would you like to do? Cut the onions, garlic and tomatoes or would you like to peel prawns?"

"Well I've never peeled prawns before so I'll try doing that. You'll have to show me first." so I did. I took the first shrimp and handed it to him and took another to demonstrated with.

"Okay so first you have to take the head. That's the part with those wiry things coming out of it with eyes that look like peppercorns. So you want to take the head off like this." I said as I pinched the head and ripped it off. He did the same.

"Eww, something squirted out of it." he said.

"Oh yeah be careful. Sometimes the brains will squirt. Ok so next you want to remove the legs." I said as I removed the legs. "Then from there you can peel the skin off like so."

"Cool. Peeling prawns is easy, except for the squirting brains." he said laughing. I went back to dicing the onions and tomatoes and mincing the garlic. I was always in the kitchen cooking with my mom so I was used to cutting onions. I added olive oil to a hot pan and fried the garlic and onions. When that was sweated out, I added the tomatoes before adding some bouillon. Colby was just finishing up the shrimp at that point.

"Hey when you're done that, can you rinse them and then rinse the scallops too? You can used this colander." I said handing it to him.

"Aye aye chef!" he saluted with a chuckle. Goof. "So I've always had interest in different languages. Do you know any?" he said as he rinsed the shellfish.

"Yeah, I'm actually a polyglot." I said watching him. I wanted this to be us. I wanted so much for this to be our routine.

"A polyglot? I've never heard that word before but I'm guessing it means you can speak more than one language. I've always heard it being called multilingual." he said.

"It is called multilingual but polyglot sounds so much better."

"So what languages?"

"I'm fluent in English, Tagalog, Dutch and French. What about you?"

"This is it. That's why I'm taking German. So you gonna teach me something?"

"Yeah sure. Say a phrase and I'll do my best to translate it. Sometimes English phrases don't have direct translations to other languages."

"Okay, how about 'hello.'"

"In Dutch it 'hallo.'"

"Hallo." he repeated. "Good enough. Okay so in Tagalog it's 'Kumusta.'"

"Kumusta."

"And in French it's 'Bonjour.'" I said in my best Quebecois accent.

"Bonjour. Okay so how about 'how old are you?'"

"Dutch is 'hoe oud ben je?'"

"Hoo out bin yay?"

"Good enough, and in Tagalog it's 'ilang taon ka na?'"

"Eelang ton ka na?"

"He he he. Okay so in French it's 'quel age a tu' or quel age avez-vous' if you want to be formal." He repeated that.

"Okay last one. How about 'I love you.'"

"Um.In Dutch it's 'Ik hou van jou.'"

"Ik hou van jou."

"And in Tagalog it's 'mahal kita.'"

"Mahal kita."

"And in French it's 'je t'aime.'"

"Je t'aime."

"Yeah." hearing him say I love you was, I don't know just wow. We were silent for a while until he finished rinsing.

"The water is boiling. I think you can add the pasta now." he said.

"Huh? Oh yeah." I said taking the pasta box and added it to the boiling pot. I added salt and a little bit of oil. "So do you cook often?"

"Yeah. I'm usually home by myself most of the time. My parents always seemed to be away on business trips. I probably only saw them like twice a week. I'm actually surprised that they are going to be home for thanksgiving." he said almost soberly. He seemed almost numb telling me about this. "What about you?"

"I love to cook. When my mom was a little girl, my grandmother owned a small corner restaurant in the Philippines. My grandmother taught her how to cook and she loved it. I guess cooking is in my blood. My mom told me that if she didn't go into dentistry she would have gone to school to be a chef. I told her that if med school didn't work, I'd probably go into the culinary field. I love just make up new recipes and concocting some kind of sauce. It's almost like chemistry!" I said.

"Cooking really is fun."

The pasta was done a few minutes later so strained it, then added it to the pan with the sauce. I flipped it a few times, covered it and removed it from the heat and onto the warming element. "Hey Colby, you wanted plate some of the greens?"

"Yeah sure, where is the plates? Oh and the silverware."

"The plates are in the cupboard and here in Canada we called silverware cutlery."

"That's weird. I bet the next thing you'll tell me is that napkins are called something else too."

"No we call them napkins, but it's more common to call them serviettes." I said as he reached for some plates.

"You need some for the pasta?"

"Yes thanks." I plated the pasta as he plated the salad. "So what do you want for dressing? We have greek or balsamic." I said pulling them out of the fridge.

"Balsamic please." I passed it to him and put the greek back in the fridge. "Where are we eating?"

"We can just eat here on the stools." I handed him the plates with pasta, then went around the island and took my seat beside Colby. He poured some dressing on his salad then handed me the bottle. "So where in Minneapolis do you live?"

"Well I live in Kenwood, it's a neighbourhood in Minneapolis, about half an hour from downtown." he said as he took a forkful of salad. "Oh and you'll get to meet my brother! His name is Eric. You'll love him. He's the greatest big brother ever. I miss him. He and my cousin Brock go to UBC and will be there for thanksgiving. Brock's family actually live here in Winnipeg. That's pretty much where I am when I'm not hanging out with you."

"That's cool. I'm looking forward to meeting them. What about your parents? What do they do?"

"Both my parents work at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. It's about two hours from Minneapolis and they spend days at a time there. My mom is an OBGYN and my dad is the Head of Neurology. And as can be expected, they aren't home very often. It was very rare for me to see both my parents at the same time and as I got older, it was common for me to not see either of them for days at a time. There is no doubt in my mind that they love me but I just with they would've taken more time off to spend with me as a child." he said sadly. He looked at me and his eyes were a little misty. "As a teenager, they left me alone more often. That's when I learned to cook for myself. I'm actually surprised that never burned down the house." he said with a chuckle.

"Wow. I don't know how you did it. One of the reasons I didn't go out of town for school was because I knew that I would miss my parents. I couldn't imagine being away from them for a week let alone three and a half months."

"Yeah, it is pretty unfortunate." he said wistfully.

"Um.so what are you plans for tonight?" I said nonchalantly. That was my opener to asking him to stay over again.

"Well I was thinking of going back to the dorm and studying before class tomorrow." He had already started on the pasta. "Mmmm. This is good! You know, if dentistry doesn't work out for us, we should open a restaurant. That would be so fun!"

"Yeah. Oh man I love to cook so that would be great!" I said twirling the pasta on my fork and putting it in my mouth.

"What about you?"

"Probably the same. My parents don't get back till tomorrow night." I said putting another forkful in my mouth. "Um, maybe you can stay the night?" I asked. "Well that's if you want to. You don't have to if you don't want to."

"Well I do have my books and stuff here, but I don't have a change of clothes. Unless you have some pyjamas that'll fit me."

"Uh.hmmmm." I thought about what he could where. Then it came to me. "Oh I have a male body suit that is a size to large for me. It's like a t-shirt and shorts but combined." I said laughing.

"A body suit? I don't think so."

"Oh come on. It's tight or anything. It's meant to be worn as pyjamas. It's like a onesie that a baby would wear but for adults."

"Show me and then I'll make a decision." I got up and got the onesie from my closet. I also found the one that fit me and decided to put it on...hmmm lets go with no underwear. I took a look in the mirror first. My suit was striped red and white and my package was nicely outlined. I turned around and realized the butt flap (an easy access opening to do a number two) was wide open...that could've been embarrassing.

I went back down stairs donning my onesie with his in my hands. "Holy shit." he said looking at me. I'm pretty sure he was staring at my crotch. "Awesome! That thing is so cool!" he said giggling.

"Here. Go try it on and I'll clean up, then we start studying before bed."

""K." he said excitedly, grabbing the onesie and headed for the washroom to change. About a minute later he came out wearing the onesie. I guess he also thought it was a good idea to go commando in it. He definitely had a ample sized package which really got my blood flowing.

"Uh...why don't you go get your books while I clean up, then we get studying." I said finding it difficult to take my eyes off his crotch. He went to put his shoes on as I headed back to the kitchen to clean up. I heard him come back in and told him to meet me up in my room. I finished the dishes and headed upstairs.

"Hey do you mind if I play some music from my Ipod? I work better when listening to music."

"Yeah sure." I said as he went to his bag to dig up his Ipod. I took it out of it's pouch and placing it in the dock. "Have you heard of Joshua Radin?"

"Yeah he's great."

"Good." he said as the guitar and cellos of his song 'The Fear You Won't Fall.' Great song by the way. It just seem that every song I hear these days spoke of my situation. This song fit my mood at the moment. It was sad but hopeful.

We studied till midnight. When we called it a night, he said he was too tired to pick all his stuff up to move into another room and suggested we share a bed. His reasoning was that we shared a bed last night and that he was comfortable with it. He didn't have to ask me twice.

<<can't get my mind off of you...>>
