Every school has your cliques, your jocks, your geeks, and your preps. Other various groups mingle in and out of these three, most of the time not lasting long being nothing more then a trend. Either way, I feel between them all, not sitting with anyone at lunch, usually hanging out with teachers or sitting in the office when I was the assistant. I had a few close friends from each clique, and kept my secrets among the closest. My junior year was the year that it got leaked out that I was gay, or at least bi. No one ever hated me because of it, but they found a new liking in me. At least the girls did, every single one of them wanted their very own gay friend. It angered me and made me sick at the same time.
At the same time of all this going on my parents were struggling through a divorce. And I was again caught in the middle, being tugged on from both sides. After one mishap and strong out burst from me, they decided that it would be best for me to take a long vacation per say. This in their minds meant getting sent to an All Boys Boarding school, my fantasy and worst nightmare all in the same sentence.
I packed my bags and said my good byes to my few friends with explanations in the least. I promised I would write, email rather. I was a computer kid, lived on and loved it. I also loved writing, and running. These few passions are what got me through my periods of distress. I also read, but not as much as I used to.
Arriving at the school in mid semester was horrible. I got there and was sent to the dean's office. The cutest guy I had ever seen, and the only reason I would use the term man was because of the bulging article between his legs. He was 6'3" easy and had sandy blond spiked hair. He was muscled toned and tanned wearing a button up shirt that showed every muscle in his body. And his smile made even me standing 6'2" and toned myself, melt. My own complexion slightly lighter was not near enough to hide my blush of excitement. He was extremely nice and looked like a runner like myself. He got me all signed up and assigned me to share a room with another boy my own age and grade, who was a "good kid" to use his words.
I was left in my dorm, number 217; it was a nice room, with one common room, and two small side rooms with beds and a desk. The common room consisted of a couch, a TV, and a window looking into the court yard. My roommate was in class, and I was instructed to wait here until he came back and he would be able to tour the school with me. The dean left and didn't leave me with a name, so I sat down on the couch and pulled a book out of my bag. To be 16, I was extremely mature but also stayed lost in a world of magic and fantasy. Leaving reality behind, I was smart when I came to school subjects but I loved reading about times when someone would be whisked away into a magic world full of spells and enchantment.
At half past four the door opened and I closed my book and got up. I looked into the bluest eyes I had ever seen. His hair was black, and cut short. His side burns trailed down the side his face a little, almost like a young Elvis only a lot hotter. He was skinny, with cargo shorts and a collared shirt. His smile was stunning, and yet I wasn't in love. It surprised me. My own hair was kept short and spiked usually, and my teeth were white, but his smile was just bright, eerie almost.
"Hi" He smiled and held out his hand.
I reached out and shook his hand; they were so smooth and looked almost manicured but not so glossy. "Howdy"
"My name is Cameron and I guess you're my new roomy, Welcome to Grayden Academy.
"Thanks, my name is Ayden. So how about that tour the dean promised?"
"Sure, let me just drop off my stuff and we can go." He walked off toward his bedroom, and a book fell out of his bag. It was the same book that I was reading, one of the best books in the fantasy genre. I would even put it against Harry Potter and Eragon. But that's another story, no pun intended. I scrambled to pick it up and passed it off to him. We spent the whole tour talking about that book and others that we liked to read. As we walked across one of the courtyards, we strolled past a building with the name Samuel A. Grayden Hall.
"What's that Cam?" I had taken to calling him that because he seemed to like it, and I thought it suit him better. I wasn't falling in love with him, but I think we were falling into something, he was stead fast in becoming my best friend, and we seemed to have everything in common.
"Oh, that's the Gray'" he said this with a tone that marked he didn't like them much. "It's the building where most of the jocks' end up. It's open to all students who make past the application. Think of it as a High School Frat. It's the worst thing in the school. Those guys think they are above all. And yea they got looks but they have nothing else. The president of the grey, Ben East..." Cam pointed toward the porch to a guy who was shorter then me with short brown hair and looked like a muscle packing fool. "...he has a little brother here, who is going to get into there for sure. I hate that crowd."
"I can understand why, where I come from, the cliques are much defined and I never fit in any of them."
We walked back to the room, and started talking about random stuff, when we both realized we were hungry.
"So what's good around here?"
"Oh we have a few good joints, and students are pretty free, as long as we stay on campus, the food on campus doesn't cost us anything."
"Well with what are parents are paying they better be free..." we both laughed as we walked into a restaurant styled room. The room had the tables, and menus, and private booths just like the nicest restaurants back home. I was shocked. We choose a booth that was in a parallel row of booths, where each booth could see the opposite side and booth of behind their company.
After we ordered a group of young guys, came in and sat where I could see them. Three young guys sat down, one where I could see and two hidden from view. The one I could see was enough for me. He was an Adonis, a beauty worthy of a Greek story. He had dark skin, and he was petite, but not to small. His hair fell over his face down to his cheeks but he kept it brushed out of his face. His hair was brown as were his eyes, but a light brown that was very hypnotizing.
"Ayden?! Are you still with me?" Cam waved his hand in front of my face.
"Yes? I'm sorry I was thinking." I lied; I didn't want him to know I was gay.
"I was just saying that you are lucky you came to the school the day before spring break. The only problem with this school is we go all year long, and we get breaks every six weeks or so."
"Yea that's cool, so what do you guys do over spring break?"
"Well it depends on who you hang out with, most of us stay here but we all stay in our groups."
"What do you all do about girlfriends around here; I don't suppose long distance communication works to well?"
"Well there are a few guys, who have managed to keep a relationship, but most of the people I know including part of "the gray" that I know are bi, and we manage with that." I couldn't believe he was so blunt with that fact. I was sure I looked shocked; I nearly choked on my drink. He laughed, "You don't have to worry I knew that you were hitting at that, you've been hinting at it all day, at least subconsciously, if you hear as much denial and confessing as I do your gaydar gets a power boost from this school." Again I was awestruck, I started choking on air. He looked surprised and then I noticed, as I looked up that the boy, the guy I had been crushing on was staring at me looking worried or confused one. When we made eye contact I stopped coughing and he smiled at me. With tears in my eyes from coughing I smiled and I'm sure if the coughing hadn't changed my face the blushing pushed it several shades darker.
During dinner we talked more calmly about most of the guys have a bi side; it was nice to know that there was a school out there that accepted you and didn't question anything.
After diner we went back to the room, passing by the boy. He looked up and smiled at me. I nearly fainted again, as I smiled he blushed and looked back to his friends, they didn't seem to question his nervousness at all. Had they talked about me already with out me knowing it? Or had they just been accustomed to it?
Needless to say I couldn't sleep that night to I knew who that boy was.
SPRING BREAK DAY 2
I had been here for three days and had gotten pretty situated, there was incident where I almost got into a fight with some idiot who was harassing me, so I was pretty popular in both good and bad ways now. The guys around had all been staring at me, especially the upper classmen, Cameron told me that it was some what of a sport for them to go after the new kid. I feared for my virtue, I didn't know what they were capable of and I had only heard stories. Cameron told me when he was the new kid a year ago; he had been seduced and then pretty much tricked into having sex with a kid that graduated.
Going to sleep that night I was careful to lock my window and the door, I said my good nights to Cameron and we both went to sleep. I drifted in out of sleep for a couple of hours, nervous as crap.
About two in the morning I woke to the sound of knocking. I knew what it was; someone was having "fun" in the bedroom across the hall. But surely Cameron would have at least warned me. I stayed in bed trying not to be nosey. Then I hear it.
"Ahhhh!" It was Cameron's voice. Now I wasn't a genius but I knew no one screamed like that when they were having sex, and what I knew from Cameron I could safely say he wasn't into BDSM. I jumped up and knocked my way into the living area, and across to his room. I waited for a second and heard something break, and then I knocked my way into his room. Cameron had his hands tied and was facing down, with his pants around his knees. There was also another guy there with his pants open and a mask, wearing complete black. His cock was hard and white, I made a mental note. I stepped up to him and with as much force as I could muster punched him. I hoped it hurt him as much as it hurt my fist. He stumbled over and fell into the wall. He stumbled to his feet and I reacted on adrenaline, I grabbed his cock and tugged him out into the common room. I threw him down to the ground and kicked him in the stomach.
"Take a message for me, anyone else that tries this stunt will get the same treatment." I sounded strong, but I was feeling kind of faint. I knew he wouldn't tell anyone, who would want to be known that got his ass kicked by the new kid. The guy stumbled up and fumbled his way out the door. I didn't follow him instead I went back to Cameron's bed room and knelt down next to him, and I untied his hands. When I removed the gag I realized he was in tears. "Are you ok, Cam?"
"Yea I think, can you help me up I don't think I can stand on my own?" I reached under his arms and lifted him up; I was strong even for my age. His pants slid down to his ankles, and I let him brace off on my shoulders, as I bent to pull them up, he was wearing sleep pants commando, so it wasn't that hard. I made a mental note of that too.
"Are you sure you're ok?"
He looked at me and with a frown, started crying softly. "That was so scary..." he fell into my arms as we both sank on to his bed. "...I thought I was going to be raped."
"Its ok, you weren't and aren't, I think they were coming for me and just went the wrong way." I rubbed his back as he laid his head in my lap.
"I'm glad you're my friend Ayden." He mumbled
"Your more like a long lost brother Cameron. I'm glad too." It was amazing how fast we had become friends and even closer. I could tell him anything and I was pretty sure he felt the same way toward me.
"Will you stay with me tonight?" He asked I knew that he didn't want anything from me sexually; he just wanted someone to be close. He was really shaken up.
"Sure." I lifted his head up and stood up. I walked to the head of his bed, locked his window, no one would be coming through there. He lay down in the bed the way he slept. I laid down behind him spoon like and wrapped my arm around him. We were a sight; anyone who would have scene us would think that we were a couple. We slept like this all night, not turning and not moving.
I woke the next morning and quietly went back to my room, not waking Cameron. I dressed, wearing my jock strap, running shorts and a muscle shirt. I loved running like this because everything felt so light. I opened the front door, making sure to take my key and lock it back; I didn't want anyone in there while I was gone. I set off walking looking around, partly watching for anyone that may be suspicious and partly looking for somewhere good to run.
I ended up finding a small park with a patch of woods containing a running trail. I took the trail and began to run. Slowly at first picking up my speed and letting it fall back to keep my heart rate at a steady safe pace. I ran until sweat was weighing my shirt down. I had been out for about an hour when I heard foot steps behind me. I slowed my pace and tensed all my muscles prepared for anything. I slowly turned my head and saw another person running my direction. It was the Dean.
"Good morning Ayden!" He smiled and I examined his beautiful body. But I was only looking because I had my mind on something, well someone I wanted already.
"Good morning Dean."
"How are you?"
"Not to good I didn't sleep to well" I wasn't sure if I wanted to tell him. Telling authority figures problems wasn't always worth the trouble it caused. I decided to put my faith in him.
"Your roommate keeping you up all night?" He smiled trying to make it seem like my roommate was a partying type or a loud person.
"No not really, my roommate was attacked last night." I knew that my eyes were stone cold; I was lost in what to think. I didn't know if I wanted to be upset with him or be obsessed with him. I wasn't sure if wanted to blame him for letting this go on. I watched as his face changed into a mock surprise.
"Is there something you want me to do with this information?" He looked at me incredulously. I couldn't believe that he wasn't in shock, did this happen so often that he was just wondering where to go with it.
"What do you mean, sir? What else can you do but pursue the offender?" I looked at him in amazement, what was he playing at.
"Walk with me Ayden." He put his arm around my shoulders even though I was as tall as him he seemed bigger more powerful in some way. "I think Ayden; even know you have only been here for a few days, you realize how things tend to work. They have their groups the boys do and I sit back and mediate between them." He looked at me with eyes I remembered from when I was young, the look of `I'm right your wrong, don't question my authority.'
"What, are you saying that I have to find out for my self who did this? And then bring him to you?" I gave him another look of amazement, in these moments I was steadily loosing any admiration or desire I had for him.
"No I will help track down, if you assist me in return." He passed an almost evil grin my direction and trying to say something in his looks. I didn't understand at the time what he was going for.
"What do you want me to assist you with?" I was being a little naïve in my anger, but as I was calming I didn't stay naïve.
"Oh I think you know how I mean. Giving me `favors' for what ever I do for you." I caught the meaning as what he said hit me like a ten pound hammer. He lowered his arm on my back closing in on my butt. His other arm came around me and reached for my hip. In an instinctual reaction I grabbed both his hands, reaching around me to grab the back one. I twisted his hands around so that he dropped to his knees in pain. A move I had all too painfully learned from my father.
"If you ever touch me again, you'll be dealing with me and my parent's lawyers" I said this with venom in my voice that resonated on ever syllable. Any desire what so ever was instantly replaced by hatred. I let go of him and turned on heel, and began walking. As I got away from him I smiled, I felt as if I could take on the world, I had conquered a demon... of my own heart. Desire.
